Covering pride, spiritual warfare, marriage, seasons, and perseverance, these conversations encourage believers to pursue unity, maturity, and deeper spiritual understanding.
We've we've been on the topic of prayer. Amen. We've been on the topic of prayer and we've also been kinda talking about praying for very important uh areas in your life specifically marriage. We specified in the area of marriage. Amen. And so on Sunday I was speaking to you and I mentioned quite a lot of things that challenged your way of seeing things. Amen. But the Bible, which is our constitution, this is what we live by and we follow. Amen. Are we in agreement on that? So a lot of scripture was used. I um showed you examples, I gave you narrative scriptures, I also gave you textual scriptures, and I also showed you contextual scriptures as well. Praise God. And I would like to continue in that line today. Amen. So we're still on the topic of marriage and prayer, but I'm shifting gears a little bit. So entitled today corporate prayer. Corporate prayer. Now I want you to put a dash and then put prayers of agreement. Okay. Now the reason why I said put a dash after corporate prayer is because the term prayer of agreement isn't actually in the Bible. So if you look in the entire scripture, you will not find a passage that speaks about and coined in the way in that way, prayer of agreement. Okay. Where it is Um pulled from is a scripture we will look at today. And we'll look at what it actually says. Okay? And of course, everyone here has a choice on on how they would like to interpret what is being read. Amen. Likewise, corporate prayer also isn't in the scripture either. The term corporate prayer isn't there either. But you must understand over time in Christendom, terms are coined to push um the purpose of the message. Okay. So we're looking at corporate prayer. So I want to start with Deuteronomy 19, 15.
SPEAKER_04Thank you, sir. Deuteronomy chapter 19, from verse 15, says, One witness shall not rise against a man concerning any iniquity or any sin that he commits by the mouth of two or three witnesses, the matter shall be established.
SPEAKER_00So I want to explain to you where it all started from. Now, this matter of prayer of agreement and the matter of corporate prayer started right there, the scripture I've just given you. To understand that, you must understand how God sees things. Okay? How does he see things? Amen. In Deuteronomy 19, 15, it says, One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity or for any sin. In any sin that he sinneth, at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter be established. Do you understand what you're reading? What's interesting about that scripture is I'm gonna break it down, then I'll write some stuff down. He's saying, one witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity iniquity or sin. So first write this down. The difference between iniquity and sin. Sin is missing the mark. Meditated. Iniquity is not meditated. So you know you can make an error, alright, without knowing you made an error. That's an iniquity. Okay, sin is meditated. Okay. So he says, one man cannot rise up against another in any sin or iniquity that he has actually committed. He says, one witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity or for any sin in any sin that he sinneth. So, what's shocking to me in this scripture is that the guy who's been accused has actually done what he's been accused of, and God is saying that one man cannot rise up against another man, alright, and accuse him of the sin he has committed. Just try and follow me, stay with me. Yeah, but then he says, if there's two or three, then the matter is established. I don't think you're understanding what he's saying. He said, If I so let's say I've committed a sin, I've done this, I stole, and one person says, I saw him stealing. God says, I'm not taking that. There has to be two or three that saw him do that. Then the matter is established. You know, that scripture, of course, you can't make a doctrine of one scripture, so I'll show you a bunch of scriptures. But that scripture tells me a lot about perception, perception.
unknownWe're going somewhere.
SPEAKER_00God says, even if you saw him kill him, you say, I'm a witness, I saw him do that. God says, I'm not taking your testimony. Where's the second person? Two or three. Is that in your Bible? Yes, sir. Can we read that again? Yes, sir. Alright. One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity or for any sin. In any sin that he sinneth. Did he sin? Yes, sir. Are you sure? Brilliant. It says, at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter be established. Very important. Now, this scripture was where the matter of agreement came in. Do you understand? What God was getting at here is one man's testimony is not enough for me to make a decision on. It has to be multiple people that have seen that and have agreed that that's the way it was intended to be. Do you understand? So, because just just for it, for instance, okay, if I walk in this room and I see one member strike another member, okay, from what I've seen in that moment, yeah, will be interpreted based on what I saw earlier on that day. You're too quiet. How I feel that day, yeah, what I saw before I got there. So just imagine me and my beautiful wife had a massive argument. I said, Go and do something. She said, I will not do it. And I'm enraged. And I walk in here and I see a member strike another member. How will I interpret that? Now, now, hold on, I'm coming somewhere. Just imagine I now had a nice day with her, a very good day. And then I came in here and I saw a member strike another member. How will I interpret that? I would say it is well now. Calm down, it is well. God is so interesting. If you take your time to study Him, you see so much wisdom. So much wisdom. He knew how to deal with men. He really did. So he says, one man's testimony is not enough. It isn't. He says, No. He said, I need two or three. I need a second guy. So your question could be what if the second guy also has an extreme day? Amen. And then what if the third guy also has an extreme day as well? Or what if the fourth guy also has an extreme day? Now I will show you the power of corporate. Corporate. Remember, there's multiple of us here, and we are all one body in theory. But we've all had different experiences and different upbringings, but he calls us one body. Can I show you what I'm talking about? Okay. The prayer of agreement started here now. Just follow me to Matthew 18. Yeah. We'll come back to Deuteronomy. Matthew 18. Today I'm the reason why I'm talking about this is I'm gonna teach you how to move the needle. You know, this there's there's some you get some to some places in your life, and you're like, what is going on? Why is things not moving? I will show you how to move the needle today. You will leave with that knowledge. So Matthew 18. Thank you, Holy Spirit. Go from uh verse 19.
SPEAKER_04Thank you, sir. Matthew chapter 18 from verse 19 says, Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. Verse 20, for where two or three are gathered together in my name, I am there in the midst of them.
SPEAKER_00So it says, Again, I say unto you that if two of you shall agree on earth, again, I say unto you that if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything, that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my father which is in heaven. Now, this is where the prayer of agreement came from. This is where the term was coined from. Okay, prayer of agreement. But that term prayer of agreement actually isn't in the Bible, like I said earlier on, but you can coin it from here. Okay, now what's interesting is in Deuteronomy, the Lord says that if a witness comes forward and accuses another man of something he actually did, I will not take it on board. But if there's two or three people who accuse that man of something he actually did, then the matter is established. Then we jump to the New Testament, okay. We know that the testament didn't start there, but for the sake of the Bible, it's called New Testament, okay? But we know the testament actually started when Jesus died. I've explained that before. But we look at Matthew 18, and in Matthew 18 it says, What? I want you to read it for me so it can register in your spirit. Because I'm gonna start landing some serious blows. So read it, read it for me. Let's read it together so you don't say that pastors preaching some some stuff here. Read it, let's read together. One, two, three, go. Read. Praise God. He says, When two agree and they gather together in my name concerning anything on earth, if they ask, I will do it for them. Write this down. The agreement amongst fellow believers that establishes matters. Look, you may be you may find yourself in a situation where you are you are you've prayed about a topic, you've prayed, you've said, God, I have this sickness in my body, and this thing is not moving. Oh, you've you've pressed, you've prayed, and this thing is not moving. Amen. Or I've had others come to me and say, Pastor, I have a family member who's really ill, and I've prayed. We've been praying, and nothing has happened. That's because multiple people are playing are praying, but everyone's praying outside of the agreement. This this word agree is so big, it's so pivotal. You can have thousands, two thousand people praying, and there's no movement because everyone's praying with their own desires. To come into agreement with something, there needs to be conversation first. I cannot come into agreement with your prayer until we sit down and we speak to establish a thing. I need all the information. So imagine you come together with somebody, okay? You're saying um you you feel a sickness in your body, and you're coming together with a person to pray about that sickness who's had terrible experiences in praying for sicknesses themselves. So you've come together with that person, you said, I need us to pray together. Are you are you following what I'm saying? I need us to pray together. You have not asked what's your history in this area? No, because people come into prayer sessions and conversations with their experiences, you must be wise. So, when if I if I ask Zoe to come and join me in prayer about something, I will not just invite her because I like her. No, who are you? Who are you? What have you done in this area? What do you believe? What do you believe? So, if I'm looking for healing and Zoe has prayed for the last 10 years for an auntie to recover, you know what I brought into my my prayer life in my prayer room? Baggage. Who's baggage? For prayer of agreement, you see, let me a prayer of agreement. I said it moves the needle. Prayer of agreement deals with God's permissive will. There are things that God will see it happening, and he will turn around and say, That doesn't affect the body of Christ, whether it happens or not. So it's fine.
unknownYes, sir.
SPEAKER_00I remember a man of God said he was he was teaching, and he said his secretary got ill. It was a lady, she was elderly, she got ill. And the Bible says to die is to be with the Lord. So it's a win. So God is even waiting for her to come up. He's like, Yeah, it's time. But he on his side, I still need her. So her dying was not part of God's plan, but he permitted he was okay with it. He said, Because I want her to come up here, she's winning anyway. I'm preaching to the wrong people. I'm talking to people, you're not responding. Are you listening? This this pastor said, Look, uh, he's looking at this thing. He said, The train is moving fast, this lady's going. And he just knew in his heart that God wants her to. He went on his knees, he prayed, he cried, he said, God, not her. I need her. I need this woman. This woman has been with me for the longest time. All right, a lot of things in the church are moving forward because she's a trailblazer. I need her, but she was going, she was getting sick, and it was getting worse. He said, No, you know what he did. He he went and got a bunch of disciples seasoned. Listen, who he raised. So he knew the history, he knew who they were, he knew the experiences. He said, Come and sit with me. He explained, how can we let mama so-and-so die? How can she slip out of our hands? We still have a work to do, and we're gonna let this woman die. Everyone was stubborn by the time he finished, people were speaking in tongues. Do you understand? There was an agreement within a week, she recovered. Are you listening? Ask yourself a question. There was a disciple who died in the Bible, a great man of God. He was killed, and the church at that time did nothing. He was the the church heard that he was captured, no one did anything. He was killed, it scared them. Then the Bible says Herod saw that it pleased the people, so he grabbed Peter and said, You, I'm gonna execute you in front of everyone. The Bible says the church came together. There was something that pulled them together, they came in agreement, and everyone collectively there was a common consensus. They all said together, we can't lose that man. Peter was sleeping in the prison. You're too quiet. Peter was sleeping at the church. And by the way, if you didn't know, God would have let him die. Can I tell you how I know? He let John the Baptist die. What was John the Baptist's disciples? Because for someone to die, God wins anyway. It's his soul. They come up to him. It's only a loss for you. Is this too much hope for you? Woman of God, should I turn it down? I think I should turn it down a beard. Death is a loss for you, not for God. He gets to dance with his children. You understand that? After all, he said, I'm preparing a place for you. So welcome home, brother. Yeah. So when when you don't want certain things to take place, do you understand? Listen, prayer is so sacred, you can't just bring anyone in. Listen, you can't just you see you saw someone praying and sweating in church, you say, that's a good candidate. I will take that guy, and you go and approach him. Ah, brother. No, listen, no, say no. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. You don't pick candidates for prayer in such a manner, you have to be wise. Do you understand? You scan them, you sit down and ask questions. You tell them, I'm looking for prayer partners and I want to know who you are. So answer these questions in the last five years. Have you have you traversed an issue where you had to move the mountain? Tell me. Do you understand? When what you you may hear something like, you know, I was praying, I didn't have money, and then I prayed, and money came, and you can you can weigh that against you what you're going up against to say, thank you, brother. You've done well. Thank you. You move on. No, because I need somebody who was in a life or death situation, and he stood his ground. He stood, he stood his ground. He said, No, no, God, this is not happening, not in my family. Do you know how many people have come to me and said, Pastor, I prayed, I cried, I sowed my mom. Still died. I prayed, I cried, I sowed, my wife still died. You didn't know how to move the needle, and now you're mad at God because you didn't know the scripture. Listen, when you come together with someone, there's something called corporate faith. Do you understand? Your faith is balanced and synergizes with that person's faith. So you cannot come together with a person, all right, who's had terrible, terrible experiences in the in the house of God. That's why God asks you to don't get offended in the house of God. Let it go. Move on, move quickly, because you're not helping yourself. One, you're not even you can't even help others. You you are not eligible, you do not qualify to pray for anybody. You can't you can't you can't help anybody, your heart is dark. You have not learned to forgive, you have not learned to let go. James says you pray amiss. You ask, yeah, James, I think James chapter 4. You ask to gratify your own lust of the flesh. So because you got angry, I declare. Oh, I declare. I've been I've been barren for how long? So you turn, you're facing your uncle's house in the north. Say he must die. I dec I I know it's him. I've been seeing him in my dream. I declare he must go. Are you a wizard? Or are you a Christian? Someone has offended you. You say he will suffer, he will feel the pain, the pain that I felt. Now, in that verse in Matthew 18, who was talking? What color is it? So who was talking? The king himself. The king himself. You know, when I was studying the prayer of agreement, I said, uh God, if I can pray alone, okay? If I can pray alone, you said ask anything in my name, and you will receive it. Why do I have to pray with someone else in agreement again now? For what?
unknownAmen.
SPEAKER_00This was a burning question in my spirit. I was searching the scriptures. By the way, you're seeing me teaching it like this, but this is months of study. Sometimes you're standing at one door for three months, God is not opening. You know when he said, I stand at the door and I knock. He's also doing that to us. Yeah, sometimes you stand at the door and you're knocking, you're saying, God, what's the answer? Three months, nothing. But if you want it, you'll get it. If you're hungry enough, you'll get that. So I've been I'm I'm standing there asking him, why should I why should I do prayer of agreement if I can pray by myself and I've had good experiences, when I pray, you answer me. So why must I pray prayer of agreement? Amen. Now, when the Lord was ministering to me about corporate faith, yeah, he was also talking to me about how when you come together with someone who is sound and has the correct doctrines and you pray with them, they can they can point out where you are going uh astray. Because you've explained this. So let's say, let's say I don't want I don't want my grandmother to go. Amen. I don't want my grandmother to go. I love my grandmother. You love your grandmother? Raise your hand if you love your grandmother. Yeah, so I say, I love, I love my grandmother, I don't want her to go, all right, and then I I go to a seasoned brother in the church whom I've I've told things, I've asked questions and all that. And the brother says, All right, let's go and see your grandmother. He collects all the information, then he says, At the end, I noticed that your grandmother is in pain. You want her to stay alive and go through that pain? Are you sure? This is a sound person, someone who knows he under he's discerned. Are you sure you want to spend your energy praying for this? Is this the correct prayer? Is this the right thing you're doing right now? A seasoned person. Brother, do you know what it is for someone for me to give you my prayer requests? Read that verse again. There's a lot I want to unpack for you there before I go back to Deuteronomy. Matthew eighteen, nineteen, let's read together. One, two, go. He said that when two or three ask in his name, the father will do it. But then in the following verse, he tells us why. He says, Because I am in the midst. Are you listening? There's a difference between praying alone and making the request alone with the Holy Spirit in you, and praying with the body and Jesus being in the midst. It's like me explaining to you the anointing in you versus the anointing on you.
unknownYes, sir. Yes, sir.
SPEAKER_00The anointing in you qualifies you for heaven. The anointing on you qualifies you to experience heaven on earth. Are you following that? So he says, when two or three are are together and they make a request unto my father, I am there, I'm in the midst. Now, why is that important? Why is it important for the Lord Jesus to be in the midst? Why is it important? Because if you go back to Deuteronomy, it speaks about witnessing. Should we go back there? Let's go back to Deuteronomy. I feel like today's a Sunday message. I should have reserved it for Sunday. Deuteronomy 19, 15. Blessing take us away.
SPEAKER_04Thank you, sir. Deuteronomy chapter 19 from verse 15 says, One witness shall not rise against a man concerning any iniquity or any sin that he commits. By the mouth of two or three witnesses shall the matter be established.
SPEAKER_00Now, when you're praying alone, faith establishes what you're asking for. When you're praying in a group, your mouth establishes what you're asking for. Are you listening? If I pray alone, he says in the book of James, I must believe that I have what I asked for. Alright, that you should not doubt. First John, he also says, believe that you have the petitions of your heart. Okay, so that's one-on-one prayer. But Jesus says that if there's two or three of you, okay, I am in the midst. And if you look at Deuteronomy, it says, By the mouth of two or three, it is established. By the mouth, by the saying, so it could be that Pharrell and Nicole and Daniel are praying, and Pharrell's faith is wavering, and Nicole is pushing through, and Daniel is confused, but they're in agreement on the matter, and they're all saying the same thing. Now, most of you are looking for marriage. Why have you not come together with your partner? Why? Why have you not come together with your partner? Why have you not stood together in the place of prayer? You've explained to each other. You tell your partner, listen, listen, let me explain to you why I need to marry you. Have you sat her down and said, Let me tell you why I want you and why I need you in my house. And you start explaining. You give her your reasons, brother. And then the woman, you also give him your reasons. This is why we need to get married now. No. Listen, you may find that the man has a very lax approach. He's relaxed about everything. And the woman is bringing, she's fighting for the marriage. And the man is lax as if he's living in another universe. Sometimes as a woman, you sit him down. I need you because there's other guys knocking on the door. No, you're you're you're you're let me talk to these guys. I like these guys over here. What happened when you sat down with your partner and said, look, look, look, I need you in my house. Do you understand? Be honest. If it's because you want to split the council tax bill, say it. Say it. Be honest, brother. Say it, say everything. Be honest, tell them my body is kicking. And I don't want to give the enemy a foothold. So we have to do it, and we have to do it now. By the time you finish explaining it to her, she's vibrating on the chair. She said, This is my husband. You give it up, you start fighting, and you come back with a wedding band on your hand. But before that, you spoke koinonia. You communed, you came together. Do you understand? You came together, you spoke. You came to an understanding, a mutual agreement that we we both need this. I told you we marry for purpose, so you tell her, Look, I'm in ministry, and I want to kick off, but I can't kick off. This thing is haunting me. Do you understand? Now, the moment you two come in agreement, the Bible says Jesus is in the midst as a third witness.
unknownThank you, Lord. Amen.
SPEAKER_00Now, the moment you start praying, the two of you, guess what? Jesus is witnessing now. He's with you, witnessing now. And he says the Father will give it to you. Have you not read about Shadrach, Meshach, and the Bednagor? Have you not read the Bad? You didn't read about the Let me take you there. I'm gonna take you there, brother. Thank you, Holy Spirit. Let's go to the book of Daniel. Oh, thank you, Lord Jesus.
unknownCome on out.
SPEAKER_00Let's go to Daniel 3, 16.
SPEAKER_04Thank you, sir.
SPEAKER_00Read that for me, blessing.
SPEAKER_04Daniel chapter 3 from verse 16 says, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter. Verse 17. If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us from your hand, O King.
SPEAKER_00Did you hear that? Now listen, verse 16, it doesn't say, it doesn't say Shadrach said. You're too quiet. It says Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Three of them. They three of them said together, we don't need to answer you on this matter. We believe that God would deliver us. We ain't gonna answer you, brother. Can we read on and see what happened? Oh, the king was angry, he was mad, mad. He was angry. Oh, the things that anger can do.
SPEAKER_04Thank you, sir. Daniel chapter 3 from verse 18 says No, no, no. 19. Oh, thank you, sir. From verse 19 says, Then Nebuchadnezzar was full of fury, and the expression on his face changed towards Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. He spoke and commanded that they heat the furnace seven times more than it was usually heated. Verse 20.
SPEAKER_00He said, Turn that thing up. He said, Turn it up. He said, I want them cooked. He said, I want them cooked today. Yeah. He was angry. He said, I want them cooked today. Let's press on. Let's press on.
SPEAKER_04Thank you, sir. Daniel chapter 3 from verse 20 says, And he commanded certain mighty men of valor who were in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and cast them into the burning fiery furnace. Verse 21. Then these men were bound in their coats, their trousers, their turbans, and their other garments, and were cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. Verse 22. Therefore, because the king's command was urgent, and the furnace exceedingly hot, the flame of the fire killed those men who took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Verse 23. And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell down, bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. Verse 24. Then King Nebuchadnezzar was astonished, and he rose in haste and spoke, saying to his counselors, Did we not cast three men bound into the midst of the fire?
SPEAKER_00Are you listening? He said, verse 25, he said, I answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose. Be loose in Jesus' name. Sit down, sit down, sit down, sit down. Did you read what I read? Listen, the three of them were in agreement the entire time. The king didn't say, Shajrak, oh yeah, leave. Meshach, stay. Let them go. I don't even want to see you. You understand? No, no, no. It was the three of them together. They said, All of us, we know that our God will deliver us. Now, notice that as they were in unison, the gods were not in unison with them. At least if you were a God and you believed in their God, you would have made that. The Bible says, the gods that were on duty that day, they were cooked. But the intended, the only thing that happened to them, and this is something I want you to notice. Yeah, this is very prophetic. They fell in the fiery furnace, bound. So God will always allow you to experience turbulence. But your responsibility is for you to stand on his word with your brothers and sisters in Christ. And remember, before you marry that woman, she's your sister in Christ. Because thank you, Holy Spirit. This is so important. So some of you are at different stages of the marriage period. You understand that? Some are talking to the parents. Some of the parents have said, No, the the bride price should be this, and you've looked and said, I don't have the money. This is a long bride price. So you're experiencing a turbulence. There's always something popping up and you know coming around. Do you understand that? And the Bible says it there. Did did Abednego and We don't know if they felt the fire. But we know they saw the fire. We know that they fell in the fire. We know that they were bound in the fire. But as they agreed, the king looked. And the king was very careful with what he said. He said, Did we not bring three? I'm seeing four. But he didn't stop there. He said, They're loose. He said, The loose. So, what is it in your life, my brother, my sister, that has not moved? What is it that has not moved? And what it is that has not moved is because you've not taken your time to look for mission. Those who understand you, you understand. You know what he did to the pastor? Number one, he looked at our age. Alright, he looked at our age. We were tender aged at the time. Just like Timothy. Timothy was about 18 when he was sent out. 16 to 18, some some of the scholars say. When he was sent out, that's why Paul was telling him, Do not despise your age. He was very young, but he was anointed. You understand? Nevertheless, this guy was looking at our age. We did not even have branches at the time. Yeah, he had a branch already established. So when we would give him instructions, he would say, he would try to advise us. We'll take instructions from the top, we'll try to give it to him, and then he will advise us. We had to discuss how do we deal with him with wisdom without hurting his feelings. You know, he's an elderly man, we have to deal with him with wisdom. And the guy was not bendable at all. He was not teachable. Amen. He has to submit under the ministry, but didn't like the structure. He wasn't movable, bendable, which means he's not usable. God resists the proud. Trust me on that. So this great man of God, I still call him a great man of God. Um my father in the Lord finally spoke with him. Said to him, Have you noticed that your membership is still the same years later? One. Two, have you noticed that God has limited your influence? Oh, there's some con listen, there's some conversations, yeah? There's some conversations that you have to be esoteric and humble enough to sit and just bask in the wisdom. You know, so because prideful people don't see all the details. That's why they're still prideful. Because they don't see all the details. If you saw all the details, you would humble yourself because you know that there's a fall coming. Because the Bible says pride comes before a fall. So if you saw all the details, you would know I'm about to fall. I need to humble myself. Praise God forevermore. Am I hurting your feelings with that? Well, if the shoe fits. So this pastor said, Did you notice that God limited your influence in your area? Others started three years ago. In three years, they're doing more impact than you. He said, That's true. I have noticed that. I've noticed that. And my spiritual father said to him, I put you under them. You came to me for the anointing. I put you under them because there was something blocking the anointing that only these two young boys could have removed. And you were too prideful. You failed the test. You didn't know that that sometimes God will send a child to deliver you. Let me adjunct. Is it too deep for you? Yeah. Who helped Samson when he was blind? Read your Bible. It was a child. The child came. Samson said, Take my hand, put it on the wall. It was a child that helped him to defeat his enemies. I heard a pastor say something that really challenged me, and I love being challenged. My wife will tell you, I love men of God challenging my mindset because it causes growth. He said, Be okay being misjudged and disgraced. He said, Ask yourself what makes you want to not be disgraced. Oh, that challenged me for years. I heard that in 2016. I thought, wow, I should be okay being misjudged. He said, be okay being misjudged. But people will look at you and think something of you be okay will stay in there. The only thing that should move you is when Christ is misjudged. Yeah. So it's either you have your own interest or you have his interest. Is that not moving? If you love the Lord, what I just said has moved you. Really moved me years ago. I thought, God, I should be okay being misjudged. He made me okay with that. Said it's alright, it's just you. You're not that important in the grand scheme of things. That's the message that was coming to my spirit. It's Christ in me, the hope of glory. Say Christ in me, the hope of glory. Christ in me, the hope of glory. Yeah. That's what's important. So, what I'm teaching you today, praise God, because I know I I I I went into talking about being bendable and and stuff, but it was for a purpose. Amen. It's for it's for a purpose. When you're coming together with somebody to move the needle in your private life, okay, understand who exactly you're coming together with in the church and pick wise. It's like an interview. Do you understand? It's like an interview. Now, the last thing the Lord ministered to me about this area, he said, He showed me something in Zachar in the book of Zachariah. Yeah, let's go there. This is where I will adjourn. Because if I continue with this, we'll go into very, very mature teachings. This this type of teaching is for a select few because it it's very difficult to digest. Amen. So it's not everything that I can teach straight away. It has to have to wait a couple of years to show you. Nevertheless, he took me to Zechariah chapter 3. Alright. Now, the Joshua they're talking about there is not Joshua the son of Nun. So because I know some of you will think, Is this Joshua? Like Moses is Joshua. No. Joshua the son of Nun died. This was like 2,000 years before this. Yeah, 2,000 years before this, he had died. Okay. So this is Joshua the High Priest. Okay, go ahead.
SPEAKER_04Thank you, sir. Zechariah chapter 3 from verse 1 says, Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right hand to oppose him. Verse 2. And the Lord said to Satan, The Lord rebuke you, Satan, the Lord who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you. Is this not a brand plucked from the fire? Verse 3. Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments and was standing before the angel. Verse 4. Then he answered and spoke to those who stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And to him he said, See, I have removed your iniquity from you, and I will clothe you with rich robes.
SPEAKER_00Praise God forevermore. Now this is interesting because Satan turns up and he's a witness against Joshua the high priest. The Bible says, Joshua, let me let me explain to you what it looked like geographically. Okay. Joshua's standing, the high priest is standing here with dirty garments. Yeah. On his right hand side, Satan is there. Okay. Now in front of him is the angel of the Lord. That's what the Bible just described. And the Bible says that Satan was on his right hand side resisting him. Some version says accusing him. Do you understand? So he was accusing Joshua. He said, Look at his clothes. This guy is dirty. He cannot be your high priest. Look at him. He cannot be your high priest. Do you remember when Jesus said, Peter, Peter didn't know? That's why you have to be prophetic. Peter didn't know. And no, it's not get thee behind me, Satan. No, no, no, it's not that. If you think that no, he said, Peter, Peter, Satan is after you. He's sifting after you. He wants you, sir. He's looking for you. You have to know it. You have to come to that level of discernment where you know that there's a target on your back. You understand that? Jesus said, Peter, in case you don't know, Satan is after you. He did not tell John that. He didn't tell James that. He said, Satan. He said, Peter, Satan is after you. He's after you. Now, you may ask me, Pastor, but they all died. All of them died. Satan being after you is not about you dying. Don't be myopic. I told you to die is to gain. So Satan doesn't even want to kill you. If you're a genuine Christian, he doesn't want to kill you. You're going to a better place. So you know what he wants to do? He wants your faith. Your shield of faith. That's what he wants. If he can take your faith and then kill you, then it's over. Tell your neighbor Satan is after your faith. He will pull you from those that are feeding your faith. Yeah, he's after your faith. So Joshua, the high priest, is standing there. Satan is resisting him, accusing him. In case you don't understand what I'm saying, in the same manner he accused Job. Do we have Bible readers here? Some people are looking at me like who's Job? Job. Which Job is this? I applied for a job yesterday. Job in the Bible was also accused. Okay? So Joshua the high priest has been accused. Uh what you're looking at there, I won't go into the details of it because it wasn't actually Joshua himself. Joshua was the high priest representing Jerusalem. Do you understand? So he was a representative of Jerusalem in the vision of Zachariah the prophet. But I don't want to go into that now. This is for another time. But what I want to extract from this verse is that when you come together with someone and you're praying the corporate prayer or the prayer of agreement, you can deliver a person out of darkness into light from unrighteousness into righteousness. So I can come together with disciple Eden and we start contending for his cousin's life. We know that this cousin is carnal. This is a this is a dirty, disgusting, carnal guy. He doesn't care about God, but we love him. We love him. So you know what? Me and Eden discussed, we're talking. You know, this guy has amazing qualities. That if we bring him into the house of God, he will do amazing things. We're sharing good things about him. You understand? And it's stirring us up. Then we come together. When we fully stirred, we come together, we start praying for Joshua. You understand? We pull Joshua out of that dark place. You'll be shocked. Amen. You'll be shocked. Joshua walked through the door and said, I had an experience. What move the needle? Joshua was misbehaving for 15 years. What moved the needle? Our prayer. Pick a prayer partner because you have things in common, like you like each other, we're friends. So because I know after such a message, you're already looking across, you say, That's my guy. No, don't do that.
unknownDon't do that.
SPEAKER_00Don't look at the outward appearance. Don't do that. Oh, I feel more comfortable talking to this person. If you pick a prayer partner based on comfort, you will comfortably fail. Comfortably. Do you understand? It has to be discerned. And be okay with that person telling you you're wrong. What kind of mindset are you bringing here? You are wrong. Repent. Yeah. Why should we agree with you? If I'm seasoned, I should be able to tell you this is disgusting. This mindset that you have. If you have a partner in the ministry, alright? And you studied your partner, and that person is not fit for this type of thing, you can pick another to pray with. Until they come of age. I've challenged you. Mountains that have not been moved. You've been waiting for the same deal for I don't know, two years. You're sitting there thinking, you're growing gray hair. Oh God, when is my deal? When is this deal gonna close? Where are the investors? You're you're dying on your chair there. What kind of Christian are you? Do you not know that God knows where all the money in the world is? That He has a trillion ways of making you a billionaire. How can you sit there because you want to buy a house and you don't have the money and you're stressing? Instead of finding somebody who knows how to pray, who has a good track history. You lock in one hour every day, and you call that house into existence. Why are you like this? You know what I'm giving you? This is where I will end. Okay, because I feel the anointing on me. You know, you know what I'm giving you right now? It's the spirit of prayer. Now, the spirit of prayer is not a spirit that has prayer on its face. No, no, the spirit of prayer is a burden that causes you to pray, and it can be on you for months. For some, they've reported that this thing was on them for years. Amen. So the spirit of prayer is not a spirit like the Holy Spirit, it's a burden, it comes with burdens, responsibility that you must move this thing. Only you can do this thing. Go and move that mountain. Amen. I was teaching my wife, and I said, Do you know that men are seasons? She reacted the same way you just reacted. She said, Hmm. When she does that, I like it. It's like she's telling me, Teach me, teacher. So yeah, praise God. So yeah, I'll teach. It's nice. Praise God. It's nice. So I said, you know, men are seasons. When men, when men of God come into your life that were not there, and they come in, they're bringing a new season. And marriage is growth. Don't think that churches grew by just single members coming in. No, people got married and had children and it exploded. That's how ministries grow. Praise God. So God has already given me so much information. I'm so excited for the year. You must marry. We don't want single people in the house of God doing nonsense. We want married people doing nonsense. Amen. Married people. Amen. Because that nonsense is sense when it's married. Stand up and let's pray. Let's pray. Praise God. Lift your hands and bless him.
