Complaining begins in the heart and distances us from God’s purpose. Through Numbers 11, this message reveals the danger of longing for “Egypt,” embracing worldly appetites, and comparing your journey with others. Discover how gratitude, purity, wisdom, fasting, and trusting God’s timing position you to experience His presence and navigate every season faithfully.

SPEAKER_02

So we're still on vexing righteousness. I want us to go to Numbers chapter eleven. I want us to read from verse one.

SPEAKER_00

Thank you, sir. Numbers chapter eleven from verse one says, Now when the people complained, it displeased the Lord, for the Lord heard it, and his anger was aroused. So the fire of the Lord burned among them and consumed some in the outskirts of the camp. Verse two. Then the people cried out to Moses, and when Moses prayed to the Lord, the fire was quenched. Verse three. So he called the name of the place Tabera, because of the fire of the Lord had burned among them. Verse four.

SPEAKER_02

Now the mix of God will go on and read. And his anger was kindled. And the fire of the Lord burnt among them and consumed them that were in the uttermost part of the camp. And the people cried unto Moses. And when Moses prayed unto the Lord, the fire was quenched. And he called the place Tabera. Because the fire of the Lord burnt among them. Because there's a lot to learn and unpack. But just to look at verse 1, 2 and 3, the Bible is clear that the people complained. But the Bible doesn't tell us what they complained about. It says they complained and the Lord heard them. And his anger was kindled. Now when we look at this from verse 1 and 3, I find it interesting because when I was studying this, I thought to myself, I didn't just start there, of course. I was reading the whole of Numbers. I found that the children of Israel were not necessarily wrong in complaining from a human perspective because they went through a lot. So I kind of put myself in their shoes. Amen. At a time, at that specific time, they were in the desert. It was hot. Amen. It's really hot. About 600,000 men. That's not counting women and babies. That's a lot of people. And a lot of problems. A lot of management. And a lot of patience. Praise God. So again, the Bible doesn't tell us what they complained about, but when you have a lot of people, there would be complaints. Amen. When you're dealing with a mass institute, there would be complaints. So I said to the Lord, I said, Lord, I understand them. Complaining is human nature. So let's define a complaint. Okay? Because that as we look in the word, that's what got God angry. So let's define what that is. What is a complaint? So a complaint is you taking your opinion on a situation and pondering on it until it distresses you. So that is you can have multiple opinions on a thing. And you take those opinions on board and ponder on them for so long it begins to distress you. An opinion isn't a complaint. But an opinion can evolve into a complaint. With complaints, there's usually no solution attached. Praise God forevermore. So that kind of thing angers the Lord. He doesn't he's not a fan of you taking on your own opinion on a matter. You took on your own opinion. This is the way I see things. And you ponder on it until it starts distressing you. That's a complaint. From a humanistic viewpoint, even when you complain to another human before you do that, you ponder. Hallelujah. So you find yourself pondering on that thought, that train of thought, or that opinion. You ponder, ponder. And then eventually you may bring it to the person in a harsh way. Complaints are rarely delivered in love. And again, this is from a human perspective. This is very important for you to write down, especially you. Okay? In the midst. But the fire only burnt those on the outside, on the outskirts of the camp. Can I open a bracket there? Some of you don't know, yeah, that there have been things that you should have been a recipient of. But because you gave yourself to the Lord for a time it missed you. In mystery. For what you have done, you should have been caught in the snare of the fowler. But because you gave yourself to the Lord, you missed it. Or rather, it missed you. I'll give you a practical example. In that same uh story, right? Um, if you read Numbers chapter 12, you find that Miriam and Aaron murmur against Moses because he married an Ethiopian woman. They would call them Cushite women. Yeah, so he married this woman, and their complaints started coming forward. And now, it's probably good for you to know that what Moses did was wrong according to the law. Okay? I'll come back to that in a second. But nonetheless, they complained against him, and God said, Three of you, they were among him, and that they were two comp they complained about two things. One, is it only through Moses that God speaks? First complaint. Number two, he married a woman that he was not supposed to. We marry amongst ourselves. Why should you why did he go to Ethiopia? Do you understand that? So God heard this and God said, Three of you come out of the camp. Come out. Amen. When God finished his judgment, the leprosy was all over Miriam. Nothing happened to Aaron. Nothing. Allegedly. Now let me explain to you what actually happened to Aaron. Did you know that on that day was the day Aaron died? On that specific day he did that, he died. How do I know? Because when it was time for Aaron to actually die, God said, Don't kill him, just take off his priestly garment, and he would die. Because the spirit of death was following him the entire time, was just waiting for the mantle to be removed. That mantle was on him. So God couldn't even kill his own servant because the mantle was on him. Some of you, it's your sacrifices in the house of God that has spared you.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

I've been praying for, and the Lord said to me, This person should have caught AIDS by now. I spared them twice. I said, Why? God said, He's giving. God said, He's giving. And I looked at the records and I thought he actually does. You know, it's not significant enough for me to notice, but it's consistent. I went back and I was shocked. I said he does give, he gives very consistently. I thought, that's interesting. Praise God forevermore. Some of you skipped some missiles from the family. It was following you, but because you're in the inner court, not the outside, it's mystery. Do you remember? Do you remember God saying to Israel, uh, he said, they were still in Egypt. He said, Everyone mark your doors. Some things skip you because of association. Praise God. I'm telling you this so that you're aware that uh the position that you're in is a special position. Aaron really messed up, he really really messed up. But the Lord decided, I cannot touch him. Equally, uh, if you look at David and Saul, David saw Saul and said, I can't touch him. He's God's anointed. Amen. So Saul could not be killed by the sword because he was anointed. Amen. So let's let's continue. But write that down and just take a note of that for me. Yeah, so as I'm ministering to you, I want you to just already ask yourself, am I already fitting this category of uh complaining? Okay, have I been complaining? And by the way, this happens in the heart first. Okay, this is a heart thing, what we're discussing now. So rarely will you see someone come out and complain uh publicly unless they have lost respect for the house. Okay, but it usually takes place inside the heart, okay? Inside the heart. So I want you to ask yourself that question because I think God wants to help you today. Alright. Now it says verse 4, and the mixed multitude that was among them fell into a lusting, and the children of Israel also wept again and said, Who shall give us flesh to eat? We remember the fish which we did eat in Egypt freely, the cucumbers and the lemons and the melons, sorry, and the leeks and the onions and the garlic, but now our soul is dried away. There is nothing at all beside this manor before our eyes. And the Bible says in verse 7, and the manor was coriander seed, and the color thereof as the colour of Delium. Verse 8. And the people went about and gathered it and ground and ground it in mills, or ground grinded it in mills, and beat it in a mortar, and baked it in pans, and made cakes of it, and the taste of it, the taste of it was as the taste of fresh oil. Verse 9. And when the Jew fell upon the camp in the night, the manor fell upon it also. Then Moses heard people weep throughout their families, every man in the door of his tent. And the anger of the Lord was kindled greatly. Moses also was displeased. Amen. So I finished that verse 10. Now I want you to notice that earlier on they complained, God never said what about. And then as we go on, we now find out a second complaint. But there's a bit more detail now. Listen to this complaint very carefully, and I want you to identify with this. Yeah. They said where we were, there was fish. There was melons. There was all kinds of foods where we were. So they compared. Where Satan had them versus where God has them. You understand that? They compared. So this is the same as saying, to be honest, when I was in the world, things were easier. I didn't have to use much self-control. I didn't have to, you know, pray as much, fast as much. I wasn't as broke as I am now. Things are tougher now that I'm a Christian than when I was in the world. Praise God. So with them, it was happening in the mind. They were seeing what it was like before. But with you, or maybe with your colleagues, you may find that you're comparing to your friends from the other life. You know, there's a comparison going on. Sometimes you may click on their social media platforms and say, Wow, they're enjoying themselves. I wish. Do you know how offensive that is to God? Now, I'm not the kind of teacher to just say, Don't do something. I will tell you why. In detail. So you know what you're getting into. Now, first of all, that is so rude. It's such a rude thing to do. Some things there's just no honor in there's no honor in that. There's no honor in that. Let me ask you a question. Can I ask you a question? Just raise your hand here if you've been on a long journey before. Raise your hand. Just okay. Now, on that long journey, did you pack the same kind of food you'd be eating if you were home all day? There's food for the journey. And then there's food for the promised land. If I'm journeying somewhere, I'm on my way to Canaan land. Why would I find myself with massive meals? No, I would find myself with finger food. And that is the place where some of you are at now in your life.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, yes, yes, I love it.

SPEAKER_02

You're going towards Canaan.

unknown

Oh, yes.

SPEAKER_02

Do you understand that? And you're looking at somebody who's in the world, and you're saying, Look where God has me. God is giving you finger food because your journey.

unknown

Yes.

SPEAKER_02

And you're comparing your journey and your finger food to someone's canon. You see, to walk with God, you need wisdom. You need wisdom. You need wisdom. It's the tiny things that have broken relationships. You know, a lot of a lot of uh men of God in the in the in the Bible have broken their relationships with God over the smallest things. Like, for example, how many firstborns lost their place? How many firstbones? So many firstbones over small things. Some lost it over words. Reuben. Reuben lost his position. He lost his position because he was emotional. Yeah, his dad said, You're the first. You're you know the strength of my youth, he called him. You're the first, but you will go nowhere. Reuben lost it because he was emotional. And then we have another who lost it because of food. Something so small. How many firstborns lost their positions? Listen, there's room for overtaking. There's room for overtaking. That's something that's imprinted in my spirit since 2013. There's room for overtaking. I've become a specialist. Alright, I've become a specialist in not comparing myself to anyone because I may be journeying. I may come across someone who's arrived at their promised land. I can't compare my journey. I'm still going. Amen. I'm still I'm still on my way. So on my way, God may give me money for the day. Food for the day. And I still have food for the day.

unknown

Thank you, Jesus.

SPEAKER_02

Listen, to walk with God, you need wisdom. Oh, but Pastor, we came up to we are the same age, and she got married. She's been married, she has five kids. And look up, look at me. God gave you food for the day. Relax. Relax. No, you got to tell your neighbor that relax. Relax. Relax. You got food for the day. You have food for the day. Now you gotta say it. I have food for the day. Now, you see, when you're saying when you're when you're making such a confession, you're not saying it because this is where you want to be. Because you will not journey forever. When you journey, there is indeed a destination. You have not arrived at Canaan just yet. You haven't arrived. So this brought anger. The Bible says the anger of the Lord was kindled. God was upset. God was upset. God said, You're comparing me. You're comparing me. And the journey I've set before you. Now, can I bring something else to your attention? Can I? You don't see him as I'm not really feeling you. Amen. I'm not I'm not feeling your spirit.

SPEAKER_01

Ready, sir. Ready, sir.

SPEAKER_02

Alright, I'll try again. So I discovered. Because the Bible says, at a time a lust came upon the camp. A lust. Now the amplified version says there's a greediness. Yeah, there's a greediness that came upon the camp. Um, and on our side it says there's a lust. Okay, I found that word interesting because the Lord was ministering to me as I was reading that passage. The Lord was saying, I didn't want to entreat the appetite of Egypt in Israel. Do you understand what he just said there? God says, Look, he took disciple Zoe out of Egypt. But remember, she was there for some time, so she took on their culture, she took on their appetites, she took on their ways of doing things, their ways of thinking. She even started liking their food. And God says, I'm not gonna give you fish. No, I'll give you quails, I will not give you fish. They were complaining, they said, at least where we were, there was fish. God said, I can give you fish, but I will not. I will give you quails. I will give you a different thing because I will not entreat the appetite of Egypt in Israel. Do you get that? You understand that? The appetite. So this is what you like and how much you like it. So some of you were in the world, you gave your life to God, and your sexual appetite was so enlarged, and you came into Christ, and then you're praying for a husband with the appetite of the world, you will get that husband, and you will start doing strange things with him, you will introduce him into strange things because Egypt still lives in Israel, you understand that? So you may find you're praying, God. Why haven't you prospered me? And he looks, he says, You have the appetite of Egypt. If I bless you now, I'm killing you. I I read right twice now. Yeah, twice. Two people won the lottery in the US. One 400 million lottery. There's about 400 or 40 million, one of the two, yeah, but I think it's 400. I read 400 million in cash liquid. I don't remember the sum of the other individual, the other person. But this guy decided to become a drug kingpin. He took 400 million, I think it was 40, 40 million, and reinvested it and made 400 million, and then got arrested, and now he's doing life. But you won 40 million. That's what happens when you bless a man who has Egypt inside. You're not actually blessing the man, you're sponsoring his lust. So look over what you're asking God. Look over, look over it. You may say, but I'm I'm so pretty. Why why am I not getting proper interest? God. God's hand is in there, He knows you better than all of us. How far has Egypt taken your your appetite? How far? How far now? Amen. Yeah. How far has it taken your appetite? How far has Egypt stretched you? What are you willing to do now that you were not willing to do before? Praise God. This is a terrible thing. They were asking for fish. Can someone read out the blessing? Read out exactly what they were asking for. They said, at least in Egypt, we had fish. For me, the question is who told you that God wants fish for you? That's that's the question. I told you, with God, you're a bond servant. Who told you that God wants you to have fish now? Whilst you're journeying for the day. Go ahead, read.

SPEAKER_00

Thank you, sir. Numbers chapter 11 from verse 5 says, We remember the fish which we ate freely in Egypt, the cucumbers, the melons, the leeks, the onions, and the garlic.

SPEAKER_02

But now our soul is dried away. There is nothing at all beside this manner before our eyes. So interestingly, it's not like God wasn't providing. God provided, He gave them manner, but they wanted delicacies, you know. They wanted luxury. You know, at times God God can be actually providing for you, but your eyes are so set on luxury goods that it feels as though God is doing nothing for you. But if you look closely day by day, He's been providing and He's been loyal, and He's been there for you, but your eyes are so fixated on luxury goods. I want the penthouse. I want the penthouse. You have a flat, a nice flat. You know, some flats don't have lifts. You have a lift. Some of us, when we started, we had to walk up the steps to the seventh floor. You have a lift, a whole lift that functions perfectly fine. You get in the lift, it's talking to you. Welcome. Welcoming you into the lift. God has provided. Praise God. No, you don't know where some of us began. Yeah, you don't know where some of us began. No lift. Walking up the stairs, and you smell urine. That seventh floor. And the wall between you and your neighbor is cut, it's like cardboard. You can hear everything. That house, there's no point gossiping. That's where some of us began. We started there. Amen. And we stayed with God and we understood our season. What season am I in? Now you may ask, but sir, it's been four years. Well, sir, it's been seven years. Go and find out how long it took those children of Israel to come out of Egypt. All the way to Canaan. Let me can I shock you? You see, those guys that came out with Moses, none of them entered. It was their children's children. Not because God couldn't do it, but because those guys refused to take Egypt out of their system. And God said, I have to work with a new generation. I have to wait two generations and work with those guys because they will not have Egypt in them. The parents do. So you know what? The parents will start the journey. Hi, it took a long time. It took a long time. I think it was in the hundreds of years. I need to double check that. It took a long time. Now, that shouldn't scare you. Because of course you're not as stubborn as they are. Yeah, of course you're not. Of course you're not. Surely you're not as stubborn as they are. You're not as stubborn as they are. I believe in you. Amen. Well, it's your stubbornness that will keep you in the same place. It's your stubbornness that will keep you in the same place. With God, be fluid. Do you understand that? God is so this is this God is so uh interested in the little details about you. He wants all of you. So he was trying to change their their likes, their inclinations, their interests. But Pastor, I'm so into anime. Okay, there's nothing wrong with anime, but God told you to stop. So with you, God wants you to have nothing to do with anime anymore. Yet you struggle with that thing. Egypt still lives inside of you. So now if you were God, would you bless you? I told you some people haven't done certain things because they're too broke to do it. Once you give them economic power, the type of sins they'll be doing. Some people look holy because of their brokenness. The moment you sponsor them, I'm telling you. At this point in time, some sins haven't even come to their minds yet because they don't have the financial means for it. That's why some wealthy men have said in the in the past, if you want to know someone, give them a lot of money and you will know who they are. Give them a bunch of money. Because all their heart's desires start coming out that they didn't even know existed in there. Praise God. Listen, God doesn't want you dressing like them. You're one of his. What do you need five chains for? What do you need five chains for? Five chains is a cry for help. No, it's a cry for help. He doesn't want you like them. Let me stop there. Because of time. Time. Come back on Sunday. Praise God. She said eight more minutes. Let me entreat that. Amen. When I was reading this, I was quite um saddened. Um because I could feel some sometimes when you read the scripture, you can feel the people's complaints until you start looking at things from God's perspective. And you're like, wow, they really they really hurt him. So there's some more things I want to show you. So look at this. It says we remember the fish. We remembered the fish. We remembered the fish.

SPEAKER_01

We remember the fish.

SPEAKER_02

They pondered. They gave it attention. Listen, do you know do you know how do you know how much of a grave offense it is to visualize your ex-partner whilst being with your current partner? That is a grave. That is a supreme blunder. I remember how he used to touch me. No, you can't remember. You shouldn't remember. You're not allowed to remember. You're not. You're in a new place now. The lust of the flesh. We remember the fish which we did eat in Egypt. Freely. Look at the greed. Now, now they're not saying what you think they're saying. They're not saying that the fish was free. They're saying there was as much as we wanted. That's what they're saying. And God was giving them manna for the day. So God was saying, I want to help you to control your appetites. Do you understand that? Some of you think when you get into marriage, you can have all the sex you want. You will get inside, and God will show you the truth. No, brother. I'm telling you, brother, no, it's not like that. In all things, you must have self-control. Because there will be times where she simply cannot give it to you. Yeah. There will be times where he cannot give it to you. It's unlawful for him to give it to you at that time. Praise God. So God is in the business of self control. That's why He God will allow you to be around your maybe, you know, you will see. These old friends of yours living lavishly, and God is not moved to bless you because God is not in competition. God is not feeling the pressure that you're feeling, He's not feeling it. So, in Gen Z terms, he's both so both. Amen. You are feeling a pressure. I see my friend with a G wagon. I need to go and get this on finance. God is looking at you like both. She's so unbothered. Because that pressure's on you, it's not on him. Am I talking to somebody here? Praise God. You left that lifestyle behind for a reason. Praise God. It's for a purpose. Don't look back. Stop saying I remember. You know, you can come across certain Christians and the way they talk is giving I miss my old life. Have you bumped into guys like that? And they start showing you the snap. Look where I was back in the day. What what what are you showing me your snap? What are you showing me your snap? Why are you showing me your snap? Opening the snapchat and and showing us things. They still have it saved because they reminisce from time to time. This used to be me. Look at the girls I used to get. Oh God. Have mercy on us. Do you know the flights I used to take? Some of you ladies, you have videos of yourself. On your device, dancing indecently. Dressed indecently. You watch it from time to time and think, I used to look good. You see, if you can look at those videos and think, I used to look good, Egypt is still in you. Egypt is still in you. You should be looking at, first of all, you shouldn't be looking at it. Okay, so I'll get to that in a second. But let's say you come across such a video, say, Oh, it's terrible. I'm gonna remove this off my phone. And you're not putting it on, it's in your spirit, you're disgusted. No, no, no, no, no. I I used to do this, it's terrible. Amen. It's a bracket I'm opening. Some Christians, for the sake of showing us where they came from, have made others fall into sin. Yeah. Because you know, I'm sure you've seen on uh social media so many, mostly women, yeah, all right, showing their before video. I used to drink, I used to do this. Now, what they're posting is still is still you. We you're still here. So they're showing us them before as if we've now all gone to heaven. So what they're showing us is them in indecent clothes, they may be woman or women of God now. Say this was me before, and they're showing you everything how they used to dance in the club, how they used to dress in the club, how they used to do all this stuff, and then they say, This is now me with a long dress in church. That's nice, but is it wise? Look at what you exposed us to the first five, seven seconds of that video. Now I can't see you the same anymore. We are looking at you differently now. The young ladies here shouldn't do that. This is why it used to be. You're showing us a video of you shaking your this thing. And then five seconds later, you're praying in the church like this. You can you can preach and say, I used to do this. We don't need evidence. It's fine. We know where you came from. It says, Whoa. Praise God. This is this is a this is a treacherous way of living your life. It's so offensive to God. It's so offensive to God. Do you remember the gentleman I told you guys about who came to me and said, Pastor, why is it why did God why is it so hard? Why should I just have one woman? Why I can do everything good, but let me have this area. Why is it difficult? He's fighting for his life. You see, following the things of God is very easy if you stay in his frequency, that frequency is in fasting and praying. It's not hard. If you fast and pray, these things become detestable. You won't even desire them. Every single spiritual tool has its uh responsibility. What prayer cannot do, fasting will do. What fasting cannot do, giving will do. What giving cannot do, something else will do, which is the word of God. They all have their their responsibilities, their roles. Amen. If you would give yourself to fasting, you have a stronghold in your spirit, you're always thinking certain thoughts, and you're not happy with those thoughts, fast about it. Go into fasting and say, Lord, you don't you you give yourself to him and say, Look, I'm a filthy, I just have filthy thoughts, and I need you to take care of this. And you start going head on with these thoughts in fasting. Remember, Jesus said these types of ones, there's specific ones that don't move, even if you give. You give, they're looking at you like you're not serious. You're not a serious guy. You're giving, you think I'll move. Jesus, Jesus said, these ones, these ones, they go by fasting and prayer. These specific ones. So if you want, if you want to shake that stronghold out of your life, you fast. You go in and take it serious. Amen. Whether it's too hot, too cold, you're in there. Do you understand? Yeah, you're in there. So I will stay in there. I will do my fasting because your your your your aggressiveness in this fast is uh is uh is an is exemplary of how much you want to change. How badly do you want it? How badly do you do you really want to live for the Lord? Or are you just doing lip service? Do you really want to live for him? Or are you just a talker? Verse 5. We remember the fish. The garlic, the onions, the leeks. But now our soul is dried away. Should I stop there? There is nothing at all beside this manner. So listening to them, you think that God hasn't done anything. And to be fair, some people sound like that. When I listen to you speak to me over there, I look and I say, Maybe God should really stop doing anything for you. Then you will know what it is to have nothing. Yeah, when I sit there sometimes, I say, I hear some things I'm like, it's not gratitude. There's no gratitude. You'd be grateful if you know where you are in your journey.

unknown

That's right.

SPEAKER_02

Say I'm journeying. I can't compare myself to those in Canaan. Look, comparing yourself to those who are doing well allegedly, yeah, is is the same as you're walking towards Canaan and you're smelling the food, you're seeing them eat, and you're angry that you're not there. Those are things that children do, you but you're walking towards that. Do you understand? I've seen one of my children get angry that the food is not going down his throat fast enough for him to get the next one. They get angry at things that you're not supposed to give your energy to. Praise God. He's getting frustrated at his own his own system. Praise God. So you're walking there, you're going towards Canaan, and you're angry that there's you're smelling the food, and you're not getting there fast enough. But tell your neighbor you will get there. You are journeying, bit by bit, you are journeying, bit by bit, you are journeying, bit by bit, you are journeying, bit by bit, so much to unpack here. Okay, this is I'll try to end here, yeah, at verse, verse like verse 10. Verse 10. Then Moses heard the people weep throughout the tents, yeah, throughout their families, every man in the door of his tent, and the anger of the Lord was kindled greatly. So God was angry again a second time. God said, These people, you know, you made him angry. So if you don't understand these things, you read this and think, God is an angry God, but he isn't. This is fair. This is fair. The Bible says, wherever the children of Israel would go, a cloud would follow them to cover them from the sun, the shade, or give them shade. On top of that, the Bible also says, Whereas they grew, their clothes grew with them. They didn't need to change their clothes. The power of God was on them. They're complaining about fish, fishing chips. No, it's terrible. Moses heard them crying. Every man in the door of his tent. It wasn't the women, it was the men crying. Look at that. I'll skip over that because of time. But the anger of the Lord was kindled greatly. Moses was also displeased. Moses was unhappy. Now, we're not sure what Moses was displeased about. So we won't touch on that right now because of time. But Moses said unto the Lord, Wherefore thou hast afflicted thy servant. So you've afflicted me. And have I not found favor in your sight? That you laid the burden of all these people upon me. Now, listen carefully to this. Yeah? Now he now he's lamenting. You understand that? Moses is complaining now. Have I conceived all these people? So he's saying, Did I give birth to all these people? Listen to that. Have I begotten them? So he says, Did I give birth to them? One. Two, did I take them under my wing? That is begot to begot someone. Yeah. Is to is to assume a fatherly role upon them. So Jesus was God's begotten son, only begotten Son. Because Adam was created. Jesus was begot. He wasn't created because he was already there. So God couldn't create him, God just assumed the fatherly role. Because Jesus existed before time. No one created Jesus. Amen. This is an important fact in your theology. So it says, He says, Did I beget them? Yeah. That thou should say unto me, Carry them in thy bosom. So so listen, God told him, Carry them as if they're your own children. So he's saying, Did I give birth to them or did I take them on for you to tell me to carry them into my bosom? Yeah. Then, as a nursing father beareth the sucking child unto the land which thou swearest unto their fathers. Moses was rude here. Says, Am I their dad? Whence should I have flesh to give unto all these people? For they weep unto me, saying, Give us flesh that we may eat. I am not able to bear all these people alone, because it is too heavy for me. If thou deal with with if thou if thou deal thus with me, kill me, I pray thee, out of out of hand. If I have found favor in thy sight, let and let me not see my wretchedness. I'll explain. So Moses then says to God, Did I give birth to these guys? This is too much for me to bear. It's too heavy for me. He says, Why don't you just kill me if you haven't favored me? You gave me all these people to take care of, so just kill me. And he says, But if you have favored me, let me not see my end. Yeah, my terrible end. Now, this is where I want you to pay close attention. And the Lord said unto Moses, Gather unto me 70 men of the elders of Israel. Now, let me tell you something I learned about God here. Yeah, so interesting. So it's so interesting. God is what you call mature. Moses was rude. He didn't even address the rudeness. Cain killed Abel, right? He was also very rude. Did God address him and the rudeness? When they say God is humble, it shocks me. When his disciples said to him, Teach us how to pray like John the Baptist. He said, Okay, okay, no problem. He started teaching them. Which pastor do you know that you walk into his church and say, Can you preach like Pastor Max across the road there? He'll be like, Okay, no problem. I'll go and learn. Even you, you're saying I'm not a pastor, but that guy praise God. He didn't address it at all. That really helped me when I was studying this. Do you understand? When dealing with people, that there's some things you just completely overlook. Now I believe here that God overlooked it because of what was happening to Moses' psyche. Moses was depressed. Listen to what he was saying there. Moses was saying, He's saying, Am I their dad? For you to be telling me X, Y, and Z, Am I their dad? So God knew that this guy's not okay in his head. This guy's not okay. Let me let me just brush him. Now, what's beautiful about this thing is that as they go on, God says, Okay, bring me 70 men. He didn't address it, he said, bring me 70 men that are leaders of all the families, the 600,000. Yeah, bring me 70 of them, and I will take from the spirit that you have, and I'll put it on them so that they can bear the people's problems. Is that in your Bible? This is where I end the message now. Can we read that blessing? Can you read that part? That part is so profound. Yeah, look at this. Go ahead.

Thank you, sir. Numbers chapter 11 from verse 16 says, So the Lord said to Moses, Gather to me seventy men of the elders of Israel, whom you know to be the elders of the people, and officers over them. Bring them to the tabernacle of meeting, that they may stand there with you. Verse 17. Then I will come down and talk with you there. I will take this I will take of the spirit that is upon you, and will put the same upon them, and they shall bear the burden of the people with you, that you may not bear it yourself alone.

SPEAKER_02

Praise God. Now, this is a mistake I don't want you to make, so I'm gonna tell you what the error was. Yeah. First, do not ever recommend to God things to do. Because what you recommend in that time seems sweet, but it will give birth to more problems. When you're dealing with God, have it in your spirit that God knows best. So God's perfect plan was that Moses would take care of everyone alone with his spirit upon him. Moses complains, and God goes for the second plan. And God says, Okay, I will take what is on you. God didn't say, I will come down, bring the 17 men, I'll come down and I will advise them, I will counsel them, I'll give them experience. No, no, he said, I will take what is upon you, I will put it on them. That thing that's on them will bear the pains, the complaints, the issues upon the people. That thing, that spirit that you have, I will give to them. That's what will help get them to help you with the work. Praise God. Not your experience, not your bachelor's degree, the spirit. The spirit. Moses didn't know that he already had what he needed to be able to manage all those people. He discovered it after complaining. Praise God. You have the Holy Spirit. See that spirit that God said I'll take that impartation and put it on the 70. You have him in full. You have all that you need to go through all your problems. Stop praying for God to stop the problems because the problems are designed to teach you. Pray. That he gives you wisdom to manage them. Praise God. It's what's on me that allows me to deal with your issues when you bring them to me. You understand that? It's the spirit that's on me. To you, you may look at me and just think physical. Yeah, it's just human being. But there's something on me that allows me to deal with your problems. Praise God. Now I'm gonna give you um the last ingredient. Yeah, because I want you to notice that um Moses, Moses couldn't handle the pressure of the people whilst having the Holy Spirit. Yeah, he couldn't. Praise God. He couldn't. So God said, I will take what's on you and I'll put it on the 70. But God said something that most of you missed. Look at what he says. Yeah, he says, verse 17, and I will come down and I will talk with you there. I will take of the spirit which is upon thee, and will put it upon them, and they shall bear the burden of the people with thee, and that thou bear it not thyself alone. And say unto the people, Sanctify yourselves against tomorrow, and ye shall eat flesh, for ye have wept in the ears of the Lord, saying, Who shall give us flesh to eat? The part I want you to pay attention to is when God said to him, Tell the people to sanctify themselves for tomorrow. Amen. For the move of God that you're looking for in your life requires purity. Purity is the platform that power thrives off. Amen. Purity. God could have said, Okay, you complained today, so you know what I'm gonna do? I'm gonna give you meat and flesh today. He said, No, I'll give it to you tomorrow. But today, go and sanctify yourselves. There was too much going on. They murmured, they complained. People were doing all kinds of manner of things. Praise God. And again, if you desire to experience God at the fullest, walk in purity. Are you listening? Walk in purity. This side of the message, young people do not like because it requires work. Fight for your purity, fight for your purity, fight for your purity. Summer has already arrived amongst us, amen. You've seen the debauchery that's taken place in London. Have you seen it? Yeah, people are finding new initiatives, new ways of reinventing Gomorrah. Yeah, so fight for your purity. I was telling my boys on Sunday, yeah, the guys that are around me, I was telling them, you know, the Lord said to the children of Israel, mark the door and stay in the house. Staying in the house is not weakness, it's wisdom. Stay in your house. I was telling the boys, if you go out there, you'll become one of them. Stay in your house. Don't say to me, sir, I'm going evangelism, you know. I'm gonna evangel, you're not gonna evangelize. You're not, you won't. You won't. How do I know? Because you don't even evangelize on your Instagram on your social on social media. You don't evangelize. How then will you evangelize in the physical? You will go out there and they will evangelize to you. We'll lose you out there. Yeah, we'll lose you out there. There's a time Jesus Jesus told his disciples, he said to his disciples, He said, at this time, he sent out 72 at this time. Yeah, he said, go. He didn't do it all the time. Another time he sent the 12. Yeah, so he didn't do it all the time. There was a time when the power was on them, they were fortified and they went out, did the work, and there was much results. Then they retreated. No, you can't be going out all the time. You're a man of the spirit, you're just out. We see you in Stratford, bang, we see you in Beckton, then we're seeing you in Shepherd's Bush. Everywhere people are, you are there, you've arrived. Your man of God, we're seeing you're sighting you in places that even these places were like, Why are you there? There's a video that goes up online of two people fighting. We see you in the background. You're in the background, you're just walking. Why are you there? We're sighting you in different locations. Praise God. You're saying I'm a man of the spirit. No, sometimes you must know the spirit of God will lead you, you know. And it's called warfare, by the way. If you didn't know, what I just said is warfare. There are times when the Lord will say, Okay, go to the middle of uh there was a times I was there was a time I was in Milton Keynes, yeah, and the Lord said to me, Uh, go to a specific roundabout, stop there and pray and lay hands on the roundabout there. There's something he wanted me to do, he doesn't tell me to do that all the time. And other times, there's there's things going on, he says, Walk up, leave now, go quickly. Because he knows me, he knows my capacity. Praise God. So the Lord will protect that. So there's times where he knows that okay, the power is on him, lay hands. Other times he says, No, go, go, go, go, go. If I say, But God, I'm anointed, it's a silly thing to say. Is that not a silly thing to say? Because he knows you best. So in this season, I told the guys, I said, Stay in your house. Stay in your house. I don't want to cite you on people's Snapchat. Yeah, just just around. There's a flood coming, stay in your house. Fortify yourself. Stay in the house, fortify yourself, get strong, brother. You understand that? Get strong. Get strong. Clyde for the Lord Jesus. Thank you for listening to Pastor Max's teachings.
