Praise God. So we are um dealing a lot in in in in prayer and marriage and and and whatnot. Amen. Um it's very important that in the season that we're in, we follow the wind that the Lord is blowing. Alright? If the Lord is blowing a certain wind, we have to go with that wind. Amen. We don't preach and teach what we feel like preaching and teaching. And contrary to popular belief, you don't preach and teach what people are going through either. You're not led by the people. So people can be going through financial crisis. You don't start teaching on financial crisis because people are going through financial crisis. You teach on financial crisis when the Lord tells you to teach on financial crisis. Yeah. Because just because financial crisis is the issue to them, it doesn't mean that's the issue to God. But this is ministry stuff. You'd have to sit, I'd have to sit you down and teach you about ministry. Amen. So to you, the problem may be my finances, but you you you get here and God sees a deeper problem that if we touch on that, your finances will be also touched as well. So we do not teach on what you are going through. I'm saying that to encourage you, because you may have come with an expectation in your spirit that I'm going through something, and then we teach on something completely opposite. The most important thing is that the spirit that is ministering to you, which is the Holy Spirit. Do you understand? And if you know anything about the Holy Spirit, just being around him, just being in an environment that is prepared for him, can deal with the very thing in which you are experiencing. So I'm encouraging you. Tell your neighbor, be encouraged. Say, be encouraged. That which you're going through, it's good because you're going through it. So today I'm entitling it Spirit Management. Amen. Spirit management. This is the marriage edition. Spirit management. The marriage edition. So I want us to to start with um with James chapter two, verse ten.
SPEAKER_02Thank you, sir. James chapter 2 from verse 10 says, For whoever shall keep the whole law and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all.
SPEAKER_00Amen. It says, Whoever transgresses in one law, alright? If you transgress one law, you are guilty of all. Is that what your Bible says? And a lot of people misunderstand this scripture to say that if you commit one sin, it is the same as committing every other sin. But that's not what the Bible is saying. It says you are guilty of all. Okay? So the scripture is saying that you are guilty. If you break one, you're guilty of all, but the impact is different. So guilt, you stand the same, stands the same, but impact different. Do you understand? Every transgression has its impact. Or should I change the word to consequences? Spiritual consequences. Alright, and I will show you this. We don't have a long time, but I'll try and go through it as fast as I can. Um so that you may understand this thing. Because once you understand this thing, it will position you uh very in a very peculiar way before the Lord. Amen. Alright. So the first thing I want you to write down is that uh number one, there is something called spiritual sin. Okay, write that down that you have spiritual sin. Number one. Number two, you have sensual sin. Okay. And number three, you have Godward sin. This is important because you're traversing through life and you may find yourself stumbling across these three categories without knowing. Alright? And if you know that you're you're stumbling across these three categories, you know how to react and you know what to do. Now in the Bible, there are men who have found themselves in these three different categories and they reacted differently. Some knew what to do, some didn't know what to do. And it heavily impacted their relationship with God. Do you understand? Now write this note down on your on your notes that Godward sin is the worst of all. Godward sin is the worst of all. You don't want to be found in that area. I'll explain what they are, but just write that down. Godward sin is the worst of all. Spiritual sin is second to that. And then of course the last one, which is what? Central sin. Central sin is the last one. Now please don't confuse this for me recommending the last one to you. This is not a it's not a recommendation. I'm simply telling you based on impact. Alright? Based on impact, God would sin is where you do not want to be found. Okay, and then so on and so forth. And of course, I will give you scriptures that will answer other scriptures. Because I believe scripture answers scripture. Amen. Now let's start with sensual sin. Okay, sensual sin is sins or missing the mark. Alright, because that's what sin actually means. It means missing the mark. Missing the mark in everything to do with physical gratification. So I know when you hear the word sensual, what may come to your mind is sexual stuff. Amen. But that's not the case in its entirety. So anything to do with physical gratification. So I will start with gluttony, for example. Gluttony. You know what gluttony is? Those individuals who love eateries, you find themselves at they find themselves at every new eatery every week. Okay? And then they don't know when to stop eating. They eat and continue eating, and they eat and continue eating. They have no discipline in that area. Can you imagine that God is so concerned about your food and how much food you want to take? Gluttony is simply overeating. Yes, God is that concerned, and that's a sin, alright, that is attached to self-gratification. Praise God. So you are full, okay. Your belly has your butt your belly signal to you that it is time for us to surrender, you know, and you're still digging in again. You're still tucking in, you're still digging in. Amen. Now, of course, in this area you also find sexual immorality because it's physical gratification. Amen. And I'll try to answer the FAQs that I believe you may have as well. Another one is drunkenness. The Bible's clear. It says, Be not drunk with wine. We're in excess. Amen. So being drunk and gluttony, where are they crossing? Where do they meet? Overindulging. Overindulging. That's where God has an issue with. God says, I've given you this thing, you must know when to stop. You have to know when to stop. Likewise, with sexual immorality or fornication specifically, okay, because those are two different things: sexual immorality and fornication. With fornication, the desire for you to want to be intimate with a person came from God. Yes. Just like the access and the knowledge to make wine also came from God as well. It did. But he's asking you to have self-control in all those areas. Do you understand that? Yeah. He's saying, be controlled. I'm ordering you to be controlled. So as far as fornication is concerned, the feeling isn't an unpure feeling. But he's saying, even if the feeling is pure, put it under subjection. And he's giving you the tools to do that. This is what you call sensual sin. It gratifies the lusts of the flesh. It feeds the lusts of the flesh. Amen. Praise God. Am I hurting your feelings? You're awfully quiet. But I guess the type of message I'm teaching requires for you to take me in and be focused. So it's as well. Amen. Because it's gratification. Alright? And you are looking upon the nakedness of persons in whom you have no covenants with. Your pass to look upon the nakedness of a person is covenant. If you don't have a covenant with that person, you can't look at their nakedness. Hence why, even if you're engaged, you still cannot look upon the person's nakedness because there's no covenant. Do you understand that? Yeah. So if that's something that you're practicing, looking upon the nakedness of others, you got to put that on hold. And by the way, your mind is your mind, God has not designed your mind. Alright? He hasn't designed it in such a way where you can look upon multiple people's nakedness and your appetite not being stretched. Now, the problem with sensual sin is that it harms the body. It literally, and I'm not saying harms the body, because I'll take you to the scripture that actually speaks on that in a minute. I'm saying medically, if you indulge in sensual sin, medically your body is being harmed. Medically. So as you're indulging in that, you find that what you invite in your spirit is demotivation first. Amen. And one of the worst parts of this practice is the way you view yourself changes too. It's so difficult to not finish watching such content and not feel filthy. So, in essence, your opinion of yourself has changed in that space of time where you've indulged in that content. Your mind has been so renewed that you no longer see yourself the way God sees you, you see yourself the way Satan sees you. And that is very pressing to the mind, it's very taxing to the mind. So pornography attacks all right, your efficiency attacks your motivations, attacks your view on yourself, all right, completely cripples your effectiveness. Another thing I might want to throw in there as well is that it also affects your memory. All the chronic pawn watchers, all right, yeah, all the chronic pawn watchers outside of the church, because they're blind and dead, all right, as the Bible calls them, they don't notice these things. It's you, the one that's in the body who's suffering this affliction that will notice this, what I'm talking about. The one outside outside of the body will not notice any of these things. He will think that everything is normal. But you, because you have the spirit of God, when you finish such watching such content, you can you can almost feel these changes taking place immediately. Amen. Now this is a terrible thing. It's a terrible thing, terrible. So, what category is that? Let's look at first Corinthians chapter six.
SPEAKER_02Thank you, sir. First Corinthians chapter six from verse eighteen. Says flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.
SPEAKER_00Every other sin a man doeth is without the body. But he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. Verse 19, what know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost, which is in you, which ye have got of God, and ye are not your own. Then he tells you you are both with a price, and so on and so forth. Amen. So he's saying that you're sinning against your own body when you do this thing. Alright? You're using your body as a catalyst to commit this treason, and in the same breath, you are sinning against that body which God gave you, which the Holy Spirit lives in. Then He asks you a rhetorical question. He says, Do you not know that you were bought with a price? And that you're not of your own, which means that do you not know that that body that you are using to do such a thing, you do not own it? It's not yours. Praise God forevermore. Sensual sin is corrosive. You see, people who are sexually active outside of the bounds of covenant of marriage. Yeah, you find that if you just study them, all right, because remember, not all illnesses can be seen. Alright, I've I've spoken to people who were ill for years, they didn't know. Until they sat with someone who could give them information and say, This is a sickness, you shouldn't be living like this. Do you understand? Those who are sexually active outside of the covenant of marriage, you'll find that they are constantly finding themselves in health crisis. Mental health, it starts even there most of the time. They're not okay. Can I tell you where it really starts? How you know that you're being afflicted mentally in the mental health area? You find that those people are very angry people. Yes, all the all the chronic porn watchers, yeah, they're in a community of anger. That's where you find them. Every little thing will they will, you know, it will aggravate them. Yeah, they are angry about everything, the way you look at them, the way you talk to them. These people, you cannot correct them, they're not mouldable, they find offense in everything, and that anger is uh can be interpreted as rage. Do you understand? Yeah, porn watches. Yeah, one young man said to me, Sir, when I finish my indulgences, says it feels like my mind has been molested. I said, That's a good description. Well done. That's probably the first good thing you've done this year. I said, That's a very good description. He said, My mind feels molested. I said, That's very good. And you've noticed that. I'll give you this piece of last piece of information, then I'll move on to the other ones, yeah. Uh, when you watch this content, millions and billions of demons have entered you immediately. And if you didn't know, demons outpopulate us on earth. There's more of them here than there are of us here. Billions, which the Bible calls legions, yeah, can live in a person. So when you watch such content, you open up your spirit to this, these evil spirits enter you. It's like a in a blink of an eye, like a flash, just happens very quickly. And you may see the after the effects of it later. So you won't see the effects of this thing immediately, it will come later on. Amen. Yeah, it will come later on. In these types of messages, the Lord is ministering to me. In these types of messages, the enemy likes to attack the minds of the people listening. You find that you're distracted, or you you want to fall asleep, or you feel there's an unusual tiredness on you. Amen. Because these types of messages are so informative. If you take this and grab and run with it, you're free, basically. You're free, you're free, amen. It can be that when we're teaching such things, you are now for that's the time you choose to fall asleep. It's demonic. Alright, the next one. So I was on central sin and I spoke about fornication, gluttony, drunkenness, amen. And I was telling you about the effects of uh watching the stuff, and I was also mentioning that evil spirits come and live in you very quickly, very fast, and they change your characteristics, they start to influence what you like. Do you understand? What you like seeing, even what you like eating? Do you understand? Even even where you want to live. Yeah, did you did you not read in the scripture? There was a gentleman who was possessed by demons, he went to live in the cemetery. Yeah, only a demonically possessed person can choose to live in such an area. So, what what made you where you live now? What has made you live there? What influenced you to choose to live there? A lot of our members in this ministry have come from outside of the city and they've come to me and I've looked at them and I said, move to London. Why are you where you are there? Move to London. What pushed you to go and live there? And no, it's not about the area looking nice. No, no, no, no, no. Amen. Sodom and Gomorrah looked good. It was a very nice. You can even smell the food from outside the city. Yeah, it looked good. Next is spiritual sin. Now, spiritual sin are sins connected to the heart posture. Okay, sins connected to the heart posture. Now for sensual sin, I said it harms the body. Uh, right next to central sin, it also makes you unusable. Sentral sin, God looks and says, I can't use you, you are defiled. Do you understand? Yeah, you're unusable. Spiritual sin is connected to the heart posture. Now let's go to uh Isaiah 59. We looked at it the other day, so I just want to dive into it a little bit more. Isaiah 59.
SPEAKER_02Thank you, sir. Isaiah chapter 59 from verse 1 says, Behold, the Lord's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save, nor his ear heavy that it cannot hear. Verse 2, but your iniquities have separated you from your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear.
SPEAKER_00And that is the secret. With spiritual sin, it takes you away from God. You understand that? Sensual sin makes you an unusable instrument in the hand of God, and the impact of it inflicts sickness on your physical body, and remember your mind is a part of that, your heart, your organs, they're all a part of that. Okay. But then now we're talking about spiritual sin. Now, in spiritual sin, you find unforgiveness. I'm gonna give you just a list of a list of things. You find unforgiveness, hatred, bitterness, greed, arrogance, malice, pride, anger, Amen. Notice that most of these things that we're speaking about usually cannot be seen. Does that make sense? So this is a heart thing, this is a heart posture. Amen. And Isaiah 59 2 says, But your iniquities have separated, have separated you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear you. Alright. So when we're dealing with spiritual sin, this you know you can you can indulge in sensual sin, okay, and still go and pray. This, what I'm talking about, doesn't give you the license to pray. Because he said he doesn't hear you. So what are you praying? So, Pastor, how do I deal with anger or bitterness or unforgiveness in my heart? If I can't pray, then how do I get rid of it? Isn't it God that's to get rid of this thing for me? No, you have a spiritual responsibility to deal with your own heart. You've been given that responsibility. The moment you became a Christian, he gave you the responsibility to deal with your heart afflictions. You can't say, I'm gonna pray this thing away. No, no, no, no, no, no. Why is it that he says before uh if you have an issue with your neighbor, don't give your sacrifice. Don't, don't, don't, don't, don't give your sacrifice. Go and fix it with your neighbor first. Right? So this thing creates a massive separation between you and God by virtue of yourself. You will find yourself walking away from God, you will find yourself offended at God. Praise God forevermore. Even murder, something like murder, you would say murder is a central sin, but it isn't. It isn't. Murder is an outside response to the inside of a person. Do you understand? So when we see Cain murdering his brother, okay, that was the Bible gives us a backstory, it tells us what was going on in his heart before. It says he was angry. He was upset. He said, Why is my sacrifice not accepted? But my brother's sacrifice is accepted, and the Bible also tells us that he didn't know why, he was just upset. Jealousy grew in him, anger grew in him, and he killed his brother. Are you listening? So, as he murdered his brother, what's interesting to me is now his responses to God were so rude. Because it's a response to his human spirit, the posture of his human spirit. So, because of the way his heart was, he's talking to God anyhow. God says, Where's your brother? He says, How should I know? Am I my brother's keeper? It's one of this is one of also the secrets of ministry. The Lord said to me, When you see someone that you're raising in the things of God become automatically rude or all of a sudden disrespectful, something's gone wrong on the inside. Something's gone wrong inside their heart. This is an error you want to stay away from. You want to stay away from. Now, a lot of people will tell you, Cain, God exiled Cain, right? For what he did. But do you know that Cain left God before God sent him away? Read that passage properly. You find that Cain was the one that distanced himself from God before God finally said, Go your way. Because of his heart. Now, since this is a marriage edition, let me bring marriage into this a little bit. Alright? Spiritual sin, spiritual, as I'm describing it now, this is one of the areas that marriage will bring out of you the most. Once you're married, you find that your heart and spirit postures are really tested. You know, who's an only child here? If you're you're an only child, because only children, like as in, like, they're they're the only ones, they think that they are so forgiving and nice. Because you lived alone. There's no one to test that. You didn't come home, all right, to one of the drinks you were looking forward to drinking, disappearing from the fridge. Not only that, it didn't just disappear from the fridge, it was finished and put back. Can you imagine that? That kind of pain can bring out a different side of a person. As in, you've had a long day, you've come home, you're you were on the train thinking about that mango juice. Said, I will have that juice will cool me down today. You get home, you you put everything down, you go into the fridge to open to get it, and it's light. Why is it so light? That kind of pain. Amen. Now, marriage is worse than having siblings. I'm telling you, marriage is worse than having siblings. If you're an only child, you you won't know what it is to come home to seeing your brother or sister wearing your clothes without your permission. And you know, you know, you may pack your room in a certain way where you have used clothes one side and the new fresh ones for special events in a certain place, and you come home and you notice that box is missing. Why is the box missing? Who has the audacity to touch such a box? And you hear because I've I've been through that, and you ask your mom, your dad, what happened? Oh, I saw your brother leaving with it. You know, my my immediate thought from that is why didn't you stop him? That's what will come to my mind. You saw him leaving with this thing. Why didn't you stop him? Nonetheless, marriage will test you more than that. Say, Lord, make me humble, or teach me how to make myself humble through the scripture. Amen. If you can't and if you do not deal with your heart, okay, if you do not deal with this area, it will be difficult for you to have a long journey with God. I can name you over 50 men of God in the Bible who their journeys were cut short because they were too angry. One, because look, Jesus said something. Jesus said, How can you say you love God who you cannot see, but your own brother and sister you treat away who you can't see? So if a person is so angry towards humanity, one day it will turn to God. You have to know that if you're constantly offended at people, one day you'll be offended at God, and you won't move from there. You won't move from there. How can every little thing offend you? And you'll be shocked to know that those things that are offending you are a part of God. Till this day, I've been reading the Bible for years. Yeah, till this day, this scripture, which I've taught you before, still impresses on my heart. Amen. That prophet Samuel's children were doing fraud. So so effect effectively, effectively, this is what it's like, okay. I my children are grown, my boys, my sons, they're grown, yeah. And I leave one of them as the pastor of the church, and he starts bribing you, members, lying to you, taking your money, buying Fendi, and doing all of those things. And then you guys call me where I am in the states or wherever, and you say, You say, We need you to remove these boys from here, they're not doing a good job. Amen. And God responds by saying, Your request was wrong, you should leave them there. You have to read the Bible so you can understand what I'm saying now. Prophet Samuel's kids were judges over Israel, and they were taking bribes, they were doing terrible things, and rightfully the children of Israel cried out. They said, Uh, what's going on here? We need a king, we don't want judges anymore. These guys are not good for us. God said to Samuel, They have rejected me. That scripture impresses on my heart almost every day. I think, God, how can those boys be you? It means there's a side to God you have not seen. Yeah. God says, Those fraudulent boys are Him. You reject those fraud boys, you reject me. Just put that in your spirit for a second. What a scripture, what a passage. It pushed me to see uh God in a different light. Amen. Whilst pastoring, you are training people and raising them up in the things of God. Amen. And you're bringing their prayers to God and you're praying on their behalf. But whilst pastoring, God is also training you to when you pastor, you'll God is also training you because you'll find people there who show you a side to God that you didn't think he had. And you may pray and say, This is unacceptable. God says no, leave that person there. I want you to figure out how to deal with them. Amen. Now, as someone who's uh going into marriage, you must make up your mind. Yeah, make up your mind that you will not, you will not say, I will not, I will not, I will not have a long memory against my husband or wife. Say it, I will not have a long memory. Say it.
SPEAKER_01I will not have a long memory.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, say when it pertains to their wrongdoings, I have a short memory. Do you know why I'm advocating for you to have a short memory? Because if you remember, it affects your heart. If you forget, amen. It's it's be like a child. You know, children, you can beat them now, two minutes later, they'll come and hug you. Have you have you raised your hand if you've seen that in children? You've disciplined them, two minutes later, they run to you and hug you as if nothing happened. So you you'd you'd actually think children are so forgiving, they are not, they just don't remember. That's that's what it is. Alright, because trust me, if a child remembers, he he will give he will show you that he remembers what you did. The child should be looking at you. I've seen children with looks, amen. So effectively, children have short memories, they forget. So be like a child when your husband or your wife offends you, just forget. Fight, and you can you can coach yourself in this thing, you understand, and and be the same in the house of God as well. You can coach yourself, say, All right, I've noticed that I I need I need about an hour or two to calm down. I need to coach myself. This thing needs to take 20 minutes. I should be okay after 20. Pastor, what if it's really a grave thing? Train yourself, force yourself. Say, force yourself to have a short memory, and I would advise you to do that with your leaders in the ministry, do it with your husband or your wife, even do it with your manager at work, yes, sir. Yeah, so that you may forgive and move on. I prefer forgetting than forgiving. Now, this is not the Bible, this is me personally. I'm just throwing this out there because if I forget, there's nothing to forgive. God says the blood of Jesus wipes your transgressions as if you did nothing. So God also forgets. Once the blood of Jesus is pleaded, God has forgotten what you've done. It's as if you didn't do it. Amen. So I choose to forget. You can't forget and forgive. No, no, no. You forget full stop. Can I forgive something I forgot? I need to remember in order to forgive, isn't it? Are you am I confusing you with that? Amen. See, I will forget. I forget everything. All the offenses. So if you find pride in you, pride, envy, hatred, bitterness, greed, malice, arrogance, anger. Let's quickly go to Ephesians 4. And we will read from verse 30.
SPEAKER_02Thank you, sir. Ephesians chapter 4 from verse 30 says, And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Thank you, sir. Verse 31. Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking before.
SPEAKER_00Did you hear that? You're gonna read again. Look, when we looked at sensual sin, did he say you grieve in the Holy Spirit? Are you following when we spoke about sensual sin? He said that it harms the body, it affects the body. Amen. That's what we read. So so in James chapter 2, we looked at that you break one, you've broken all, but the impact is different. So sensual sin, the impact is your body. With spiritual sin, the impact is now touching on God. He says you're grieving the spirit. Look, he didn't mention anything. Go on, go ahead. Go and read read that verse.
SPEAKER_02Thank you, sir. Ephesians chapter 4 from verse 30 says, And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Verse 31. Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you with all malice.
SPEAKER_00Be put away from you. He didn't say God will put it away from you. He said, Let it be put away from you. You do it yourself. Put it away. Malice, anger, revenge, offense, bitterness, evil speaking, because you only speak what's in your heart. He said, put it away. Tell your neighbor, put it away. Because it grieves the Holy Spirit. Now read the following verse, because now it starts dealing with the complete opposite to those things. Read it.
SPEAKER_02Thank you, sir. Ephesians chapter 4 from verse 32 says, And be kind to one another. Tenderhearted.
SPEAKER_00Be kind to one another. Be kind. Kindness is a thing of the heart. Look at that. Be kind to one. Then follow. Does it say tender-hearted? Be kind and tender hearted. Some of your hearts are too hard. Your heart is too hard. How can God have a relationship with you? He cannot. You're grieving him. Now, let me let me show you something that you didn't notice. Number one, the Holy Spirit is not an energy. Okay, I'm taking you somewhere. Holy Spirit is the precious Holy Spirit is not some energy, he's not a power, he's a person. Now, raise your hand here if you've ever grieved. Hi, hi, hi. I want to see you. Okay. Number one question Can I put a time on your grieving? Can I tell you, okay, now it's been one year. You need you, you shouldn't, you shouldn't be grieving anymore. Can I do that? Can you put a time to someone's grieving? No, you cannot. Now, in that time you were grieving, were you even able to work properly? Sometimes at work, they will they will tell you to take off because you're grieving, you lost someone close to you. The Bible is telling you that this thing, this bitterness in your heart, this anger, this unforgiveness grieves the spirit. You know what it is to be grieving. It's just that your grieving is because you lost someone, the spirit's grieving is because your heart is dark. What touches me the most is when a person is grieving, they cannot perform. You missed the revelation when you grieve the spirit of God. What does that mean? Now, so all those who think they're very clever, which you are, in Jesus' name. Yeah, you are, you are, but not more than the scripture. You say, but he is God. How can he not perform? The Bible tells us Jesus went to a town where he could not perform many miracles. Is that in your Bible? Jesus went to a town. This is God in flesh. The Bible says he went there and could not perform many miracles. So that means he saw someone who could not walk and said, walk, and the person didn't walk. So if you were there in that time, you would have seen Jesus fail a miracle. Because of the content of their hearts, he says there was not much faith there. So a heart that has bitterness, anger, malice has no faith, which grieves the Holy Spirit, which in effect means that he cannot perform in your life. So the operation that he set off in your life to make you a great person, to make you an effective person, the entire operation stops. Because you decided you want to have a long memory. Remember the testimony that I gave you of the lady who came to church and said, My husband is cheating on me. And and she was so angry. And and Pastor said, You have a bigger problem than him. She said, How? He said, Your heart, your heart is evil. How I haven't left him, you haven't forgiven. He said, She said, Pastor, that's what you're concerned about. I just told you my husband is cheating. He said, Yes, that is what I'm concerned about. Of course they're quiet. On top of that, Pastor looked at her and asked her a question: Are you ill? She said, Yes, I have cancer. Her story was very sad. Because in that conversation, she was like, I've I've been knowing for two years. I just haven't said anything, but enough is enough. Because now he's bringing them in the house. And she said, How can God allow such a thing? I'm serving him, I'm coming to church, I'm doing Pastor was basically telling her, God, you had left God two years ago. The day you found out is the day you left God. Because from that day onwards you became bitter. Amen. That was the day you became angry and bitter towards your husband. What a sad story. Can I continue telling you the rest? Pastor finished counseling her and said to her, Forgive him. Don't focus on what he's doing. Because she was talking about in the counseling session. She was saying, But he's doing well for two years. I thought he would have lost his job at least, or something. God would have dealt with him and stuff like that. Pastor said, He will continue to prosper. He will. You forgive him. So you know what happened? She forgave. Glory be to God. She had forgiven him, and she was prayed for for healing, and she recovered from the cancer. Amen. She recovered. You could tell the difference. You know, she was coming to church more happy, more bouncing. It was nice. Amen. Yeah. And we had found that in that time the husband kind of came to his senses a bit. Praise God forevermore. Now, from there, the husband started again. Guess what happened? The anger came back again. The bitterness came back again. Eventually, the cancer came back again. As I'm talking to you, that woman died. Her husband gave her life, his life to Christ and remarried. Now you as a uh as a human from a human perspective, you say that's not fair. Did God preach about fair? Can you show me a scripture in the Bible that talks about fair? Who told you life is fair? But that's not fair. Why is God that's not fair? Who told you that God intended to be fair? Who told you that fairness is one of his priorities? That's one thing I realized about ruling, being a king in the days of old, or being even prime minister or president. You cannot put fairness at the forefront of your mind. You'll be confused. You can't make decisions. It's better to be principled than fair. Have principles. And that's God. God is principled. He said it's not about fair, it's about follow my principles. I've set it in stone that you forgive so that you may be forgiven. And it's terrible because the lady's problem wasn't that only that she couldn't forgive her husband for what he was continuously doing. The other side to it was in order for you to say, I can't forgive someone, or I'm struggling to forgive someone, it's because you think you will not do what he he's doing. And if you think I would never do what he's doing, you think you are better than him. That's why you don't judge people. Do you understand? Yeah, God knows all these things, so he says, Forgive. He doesn't need to give you long explanations, just forgive. Your own is to forgive and forget. Just go. Say, I will forgive or forget. Say it like you mean it. Have a short memory. Have a short memory. Don't meet the master on the day of judgment and say to him, You didn't deal with me fairly. And you know, Jesus is so is so wise. He will allow you to say it, but his responses will paralyze you. You won't be able to have a more than a 10-second conversation with him because everything he says is truth. So the moment he starts pulling out your own sins, what about you? Did I hurt your feelings with that? So, what we're looking at here is spiritual, spiritual sin. So it grieves the spirit. The Holy Spirit can no longer perform for you, with you, and on you. You want to stay away from spiritual sin. Fight with everything you have to forgive and move on. Fight with everything you have to not hate another person. Fight with everything you have to not be arrogant. Don't think you're better than other people because your life is going a certain way. You're not better than anybody. I'm like a child. If I see in the Bible, I say, okay, I'm gonna do it. I so forgive, so I'm forgiving. Quickly, quickly, quickly, quickly. But sir, but sir, what if it's this? What if it's that? What if, what if, what if it doesn't matter? It doesn't, it doesn't matter, sir. What if my uncle touched me when I was a kid, I was innocent. It doesn't matter, it doesn't matter, Pastor. That's so insensitive. That means God is insensitive. Take it up with him. You can send him an email if you want. Amen. Let's move on to God word sins. First things first, God word sins. Number one, impiety, idolatry, blasphemy, unbelief, apostasy. I'll give you some time to write all of that down. Number three, blasphemy. Number four, unbelief. Number five, apostasy. And there's more by the way. Okay, now impiety, just in case you don't know what that means, yeah, is the lack of reverence towards God. You know, you I've met people that they they just they they have no respect for God at all, and anything that God holds sacred. Do you understand? They would at least if you're gonna be a terrible person, do it outside the church. Some people are impious, they come into the church and act, dress, behave, talk, anyhow. In the church, that is a sin against God. Are you listening? Yeah, that's impiety. Okay, what was the second one? Idolatry is now replacing God with another God. Okay, so you've so anything that is to do with hurting God, attacking God, is Godward sin. And this is the area I told you you want to stay away from. Okay, so idolatry is replacing God with another God. You also have blasphemy. Blasphemy, that is, you are speaking of the personality and the character of the Godhead in a treasonous manner. So, for example, if I say, if we have a king, King Charles, amen, we do we all know who that is, and I turn around and I say, He is not the true born king, he's not supposed to be on that throne. That is blasphemy because I've questioned his eligibility, that is what we're dealing with when we talk about blaspheming. Now, Jesus said something interesting. Jesus said, let me take you there because I don't want to misquote you. I want you to read this thing for yourself, because if I say stuff, maybe you understand. Okay, let's go to Matthew, Matthew chapter 12. It's good for you to read it yourself, but some of the stuff that I say you've probably not heard before, or you've heard a little bit, but in a different way. Um, so it's good. I like backing up what I say with the scripture. So 12, 30.
SPEAKER_02Thank you, sir. Matthew chapter 12, from verse 30, says.
SPEAKER_00Uh read 31. Let's just go straight into 31.
SPEAKER_02Thank you, sir. From verse 31 says, Therefore, I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven, men, but the blasphemy against the spirit will not be forgiven, men. Verse 32.
SPEAKER_00I'll read. I I'm not sure. It it sounded like you were skipping some words there, but I'll read here. It says, Wherefore I say unto you, all manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men, but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. Did you hear that? It says, Verse 32, and whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven him. But whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come. That's a deep thing. Do you want to explain that to you? Okay. He says, All manner of sin, so all sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men. So all manner of sin will be forgiven and all blasphemy on other men, on other people. If you blaspheme on another person, because you can do that. Amen. Like me saying you've given your life to Christ, yeah. And I say you're not a Christian, that's blaspheming. I've questioned your entire identity in Christ, I've blasphemed. Do you understand that? All right. He says, but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. It's one of the only things that cannot be forgiven. It can't be forgiven. Jesus Himself said that. It's in red. It says, and whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven him. He said, You can talk about Jesus. A lot of people say Jesus is not God, it's his well. He says, You can be forgiven. He says, Talk about the Holy Spirit. That one cannot be forgiven. And he even goes on to say, Yeah, but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Spirit or the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come. Whether or not you know what you're doing, you will never be forgiven. This blaspheming, speaking out of turn. Speaking out of turn. Praise God. We have unbelief. Unbelief is a Godward sin. Now I'm gonna hit the last one in a second, but unbelief is what you find in the Garden of Eden, in Genesis. Chapter 3. Now, the difference between spiritual sin and Godward sin is that spiritual sin moves you away from God, and Godward sin moves God away from you. Look at Genesis chapter 3. God sends them away. In Matthew, he says, I will not forgive you. Not you will not forgive me, I will not forgive you. So with that's why I said stay away from Godward sin. Because it's one thing for you to move away from God, you can always come back, isn't it? But for God to choose to move away from you, you are in hot soup. You're in trouble, brother. You are in big trouble. And it's interesting, God asks a question. He says, When a man spits out something or when he vomits something out, will he take the vomit and put it back in his mouth? Have you ever raised your hand if you've ever eaten your own vomit? Look, I've seen the faces some of you have made. That's God when He decides that He will cut you off. That's finished. Amen. Which takes me to my last point: apostasy. Apostasy is you leaving the faith in simple terms. You left the faith and the Bible talks about those guys, apostates, those that have left the faith. It tells us how to deal with them. He said they are worse than non-believers. Have you read that in the Bible? The Bible says because they've they've tasted grace, they've tasted this thing that we have right now, and they still left, but they are worse than unbelievers. Yeah. So I'm appealing to you, stay away from God word sin. Interestingly, marriage can lead you there. I'm shocked that you didn't know that. Did you forget Job? You forgot Job? Some stuff happened. Job's wife turns around and says, Curse God and die. Job is the first of many. Should I give you more examples? You forgot King Ahab? He was the king of Israel. And he married Jezebel, who was from not from Israel. His wife turned his face away from God. And he brought idols into the house and began to serve them. You forgot Solomon? Married women from outside of where God recommended. And those women, the Bible says, they brought in idols into the house and turned his heart away from God. Marriage. Eve turned the face of her husband. Men, be careful when your wife takes her hand and she gently moves your face. Be careful. I'm telling you, be careful. Yeah, be careful. As she's moving your face, ask, Am I turning from the Lord? Am I turning away from God? Amen. Put God above the happiness of your entire household so that you don't miss the mark. You're the one that He will hold accountable tomorrow. Yeah. God will not hold you both jointly accountable, He will hold you alone accountable. So sometimes you must make decisions and not factor her and the kids in. Make the decisions based on what God is saying. Amen. I'm literally preparing you to be a man of God in marriage. Not a married man. I'm not preparing you to be a married man, a man of God in marriage. Yeah. Praise God forevermore. Sometimes decisions that have to be made are difficult. They're difficult. But I want you to vow today, as I round up, I want you to vow that you know, and write this down. It's good that you write it down in your notes or somewhere you remember, or maybe make it your screensaver or something. That the blessing of God will not cause you to fall into any of these three categories. That something good doesn't cause you to fall into these three things. Because some people are so lustful before marriage that when they get into marriage, because you don't know this, but marriage is like the anointing, it it uh amplifies what you have inside of you. So so when you get married, if you were lustful before, you become ten times worse. Marriage doesn't quench lust, in case you didn't know that. Yeah, it actually brings it out more, and for some women, the fact that you're married, you look more appealing. Church is quiet. Yeah, the fact that you are a married man, you look more appealing to them, they want you more when you're single, they just brush you when someone picks you and accepts you. Then they're like, ah, this guy looks good. There's something about that guy. Amen.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_00I apologize if I've hurt a lot of your feelings today, you know, but I have to teach I have to teach you the word. One thing you can trust about me is that I will always teach you the scripture. Doesn't matter, I'll teach you the scripture, amen. I will teach you the word of God. Amen. Yeah. What verse did I give you last? Let's finish on Genesis 3. Let's finish there. This will be our last scripture. He will read and then we'll adjourn. Amen.
SPEAKER_02Thank you, sir. Genesis chapter 3 from verse 1 says, Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made, and he said to the woman, Has God indeed said, You shall not eat of every tree of the garden? Verse 2. And the woman said to the serpent, We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden. Verse 3, but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die. Verse 4. The serpent said to the woman, You will not surely die. Verse 5, for God knows that in the day you eat of it, your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, no. Amen.
SPEAKER_00Amen. Now, can I can I tell you something that you've probably never heard before? On this, I was praying one time last year on this scripture. I was praying, and the Spirit of God said something to me about this verse. And at first I saw it in a vision, but then he started speaking to me, and what he told me shocked me. But we're gonna fact check it in the Bible. Yeah, God said to me that Adam didn't know that the fruit was from the forbidden tree when he ate it. I was shocked. I said he didn't know God said yes. She simply took from it, ate, and gave to him. He thought it was normal. It was a normal fruit. So now with that knowledge, let's read again. I'll read, verse 6. And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof and did eat. Right? And also unto her husband with her, and he did eat. Do you want us to read that again? Now, when you're studying the scripture, you have to be very careful, careful with certain translations like the NLT, the AMP. These are very good translations, but you always have to cross-check it with the Spirit of God on if they are translating it properly. Because sometimes when they're meant to translate, they interpret, and at times when they're meant to interpret, they translate. So you have to know the difference between the two, and you have to be discerned as well. Okay? So if you when you're reading the AMP, just because it's written down and it's in a Bible form doesn't make it a fact. AMP is has come hundreds of years later. Praise God. So the Bible says here, and when the woman saw that the tree was good for food and that it was pleasant to the eyes, who saw the tree? Who saw that it was pleasant to the eyes? Who saw that it was desired to make one wise? Now, question, yeah? Adam already knew he was wise because before that, God asked him to name the animals, and he did. The Bible says God brought him to the animals to see what he would name them. And whatever he said it is, it was thereof. So it means that God had named them before Adam arrived, and God brought Adam to see what he would say, and what he said, it that's what it was. Praise God. So the one who needed wisdom and desired wisdom was Eve. That's why the serpent went to her, not the husband. Do you understand that? So, as the Bible says here, she that's what tipped her over the edge. She wanted wisdom, she desired to be so much like her husband. So, this is the word I would end with with the women. Then I'll give a word to the men. Stop competing with your husband, don't desire to be in his position. Do not, you're not equipped for that. Praise God. You're not. And with the men, this is where I'll end it with you guys. Adam failed to ask questions. Amen. What's interesting to me is the Bible says Adam had wisdom, yes, God gave it to him. Solomon had wisdom, but they both fell. So wisdom doesn't stop you from falling. It doesn't stop you from falling. But that's a topic for another day, okay? What I wanted to say was ask questions. As a man, as the head of your home, ask a lot of questions. If you see your wife coming home with a new dress or a new bag that you didn't buy, where did you get that from? Who bought that for you? And she says, Oh, one of my uh female friends, I want to speak to that female friend. And no, it's not controlling, it's wise. Do you know how many people have been their hearts have been poisoned because of a gift through a gift? They may not have even intended to poison your wife, I mean spiritually poison her. It's because of where the gift is coming from, the house the gift is coming from. So, as a wise husband, you ask questions where'd you get that ring from? Where'd you get the money to do your hair? I've never seen these pair of shoes. Who gave you those pair of shoes? Ask all the questions. Some of you want to be husbands, but you're just blind, you're just living anyhow. She's walking in and out of the house doing anything. Amen. To the point where you study her words, when you notice that she's using new lingo, where'd you where'd you get this from? Where'd that come from? We live together, we I don't talk like that. Where did this come from? Oh, I watched this. I want to see what you watched. Show me what they what this thing is. Let me see this thing. Let me assess. Let me assess with my manly eyes, the eyes of the visionary, the one that God gave me. Let me assess this thing. The women don't like me, but for the men, the men, I'm even giving you wisdom and you're quiet. It's shocking. Guys sleeping. Amen. Yeah, you're you're seeing her with one consistent hairstyle, and then she just swivels and changes. Excuse me, where did this inspiration come from? I need to know. No, because let me tell you something. Because, yeah, this is not control. This is not control. This is what you call overhaul. This is this is overseeing. You're overseeing your house, and you deal with the kids the same way. Your son can't come into the house with a new trainer, and he's he's broke and he's not working. He has a new trainer. How did you get the new trainer? What happened? Where'd you get the money for this? If he cannot account for it, take it off, put it back in the box. Me and you together, we're going back to where you bought it from. You're gonna put it back. And I need to get to the root of where this money came from. See, when you deal with things in that manner, you won't have stuff like what happened in the Garden of Eden. And men, disclaimer, your wife may say to you, because some women are like that, oh, I feel like you're controlling me. Say, that's what you signed up for. You should have studied marriage. That's what you signed up for. You shouldn't have you shouldn't have said yes to me then. Because now we're joined together. Your mistake, I will be held accountable. I'm I do not want to be held accountable. Yeah, so this is what you signed up for, and I'm teaching you this in front of them. It's not in a men's conference, yeah. I'm teaching you this in front of them so that they know what they're signing up for, and that's nice for the women because now you know that this is the level of surveillance. Amen. Study and overhaul all things. She may come home. Every the pattern is every day she comes home, she's tired, she's tired, she's tired. One day she comes home with a spring in her steck. Let's sit down, let's sit down. What happened today? Tell me your entire day. Why are you happy? Oh, you know, you know when the way they will respond, why why why can I not be happy? Don't fall for that. Don't fall for that. Tell them calm down, calm down. Why are you happy? Why are you so happy? What happened today? Tell me your day. I want to be happy with you. Let's be happy together. Amen. Overseeing, amen. So, husbands, be the same, don't be oblivious. You you you're with your wife, you see you have a new what's this thing? Bracelet, you're saying nothing. You're saying nothing. You see the Van Cliffs, you're saying nothing. You look at the bracelet, oh, that's a nice bracelet. You're saying nothing. Where did you get that bracelet from? What money did you use to get that bracelet? Where's the shop? Where's the receipt? How many mothers have said to me, Am I wasting your time here? How many, how many mothers here have said to me, I didn't know my son was in a gang? Of course, you didn't know. How can you live with him? You don't know that he's in a gang. What world are you living in? And no, I don't feel sorry for you. You should have been doing your homework as a mother. Your your son is coming back home late at night, fresh, he's looking good all of a sudden, he has a different, he's talking differently, and you don't know that your son is in a gang? No. Sometimes we look for sympathy, but you don't deserve it. You should be doing your job. Yeah, it goes back to my message on diligence, being diligent with your role, the role that God has given you. How is it that you don't know that your daughter is sleeping with guys? It's one thing to know and to let it slide. That's another conversation I can have with you another time. I'm talking about those who are thinking their child is a saint. Tell your neighbor you should know, you should be aware of what's going on under your roof. I'm not saying be a control freak. What I'm saying is you need to oversee, question everything. Question everything, it can be annoying to her because she might want to throw you a surprise, birthday, or whatever, and you're asking too many questions. Just do it, do your job as a man, ask questions. Even her friendship groups, ask questions. I watched uh Man of God yesterday, just yesterday, he posted a video on his platform of a lady saying, Yeah, in my circle, I advise my friends to leave their husbands. I tell them their husbands ain't nothing when they make mistakes. Yeah, I tell I tell my friends that you don't have that, don't take that from your husband. But I'm going home to mine. Yeah, I watched it with the woman of God yesterday. Yeah, she said, she said, I advise my friend when they tell me their problems, their marital, I tell them, Your husband is just a terrible person. Then I go home to mine. Then I tell her, You can live without men, but I can't live without a man. My man, that's what she says. She said, she said, I will talk terrible about men, but my man is not included in that. That's women for you. Praise God. So I'm telling you that your husband is a non-entity whilst I'm going home to my own. What a terrible thing. You might not be able to relate to this now because most of you are not married, but when you get there, you'll understand what I'm saying to you. Do you understand? Your wife says to you, This person from work bought me this. Who is that person? What's the name? I'm gonna drop you to work tomorrow. I want to see this person. I want to see them with my physical eyes. Let me stop. Some of the girls look worried. It's okay. We'll continue in the marriage sermon. We have a marriage sermon after this. We'll continue there. We'll continue there. Because of time, and a lot of the women are looking at me like some. Please. Amen. So go and marry. Tell me a neighbor, go and marry. Tell them to go in marry and pick well. Amen. Sit down, sit down. I studied in the Bible. Amen. That God in Genesis 3, Genesis 1, 2, and 3. Yeah, he said, and I'll expand on this next week, but he said, um He said to them, He said to Adam and Eve, a specific set of instructions. He says, um, be fruitful and multiply. He said, Rule over the earth, have dominion over the fish in the sea, and you know, the land and all of that. He says, I put everything under your command. He stopped there. Amen. They erred in their ways. The second Adam comes. And if you jump to Philippians 2 and to Philippians 4, he says, Think on these things. So, first Adam was given instructions to rule as how he wants. Second Adam tells us how to rule, then he tells us how to think. So now we're living in righteousness because we have an overseer. You understand that when you're being overseen, you can avoid mistakes. And when you make mistakes, you the impact is so little because someone is overseeing you. He can even tell you how to avoid taking full impact of the situation. That's what happens when you have a coach. The coach can tell you, move your body this way so you can feel less impact. That's an overseer. That's a husband. That's a husband. Amen. That's his job. We'll continue this uh next week. Praise God. Clap for Jesus. Thank you for listening to Pastor Max's teachings.
