Managing Vermont’s Wildlife and the Forests they Live in with Two Former (Recovering) Commissioners Who Love to Hunt

In this episode of Northwoods Whitetails we welcome former Vermont Fish and Wildlife Commissioner, Louis Porter and sister department former Vermont Commissioner of Forests, Parks and Recreation, as well as author of Woods Whys: An Exploration of Forests and Forestry, Mike Snyder for an educational conversation of the correlation of management between the Wildlife and Forestry Departments. 

Long time friends and colleagues, Louis and Mike, both of whom served in the Shumlin Administration and transitioned into the Scott Administration share challenges, insights and understanding into the working relationship between the two departments as well as the future of deer hunting in Vermont.
