Sermon: Boiling Water that Leads to Peace (10th Sunday after Pentecost --Year C -- August 17, 2025)

Jesus says he came to bring fire—not to scorch us, but to purify. Using Flint’s boiling water as an image, we explore false peace versus Christ’s peace, learn to “check the radar of our hearts,” and listen with the cloud of witnesses as the table becomes the place where love takes root.
