Speaker 1:

He's six foot tall, by the way.

Speaker 2:

I don't know why I just spaced out. I'm sorry. I was thinking about your chains, because we just talked about last time.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, how attractive, I think, chains are.

Speaker 2:

And I like this shirt. Thank you, congratulations.

Speaker 1:

This is, this was my identity, like all last year. Do you not remember it?

Speaker 2:

That specific shirt.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I have three of the exact same one.

Speaker 2:

I mean probably, but you know, time has passed.

Speaker 1:

Time has passed, I haven't been wearing them. It's back out the closet like me.

Speaker 2:

welcome back to the a-list podcast with with Allison and Alex. I'm Allison, that's Alex.

Speaker 1:

And I'm still wearing an Apple Watch guys.

Speaker 2:

He's doing it.

Speaker 1:

I'm really committing to it.

Speaker 2:

You also have your permanent jewelry on, like I do on this arm.

Speaker 1:

I love permanent jewelry.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, the place that I have gotten my nails done twice now does also permanent jewelry. I don't. They do a lot there. There's like facials happening. There's like facials happening. There's waxing services, there's permanent jewelry. There's massage Like it's wild A little bit of everything, and they also have a random uh like bar in the corner with like gin and For purchase. I don't know, I think it's like they make drinks there, but do I ask like, do they offer that?

Speaker 1:

Do I ask I?

Speaker 2:

feel that feels illegal. You don't have a liquor license.

Speaker 1:

Like how you get champagne at a bridal shop.

Speaker 2:

Yes, but it's liquor, it's not just champagne Cause some um nail salons do that.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

It'll be like what if you get the deluxe blah, comes with a glass of champagne, but this, there's a hard liquor and it's just like are is it for the workers interesting, or do you? Are you offering to make me a cocktail?

Speaker 1:

it's got to be that, because I can't imagine the workers would like have alcohol sitting out that's also not legal right right in the same way that mushrooms aren't legal, but people are selling them at farmer's markets markets, true, and stores and stores yeah as I learned right, yeah, wild um so, before we begin um, I want to admire your heart of the ocean at this were you holding on to this? I was? This is um guess it is cute, I do like it, but you.

Speaker 1:

Immediately I did a double take. I was like is that Heart of the Ocean?

Speaker 2:

No, Well, I went looking for a choker-esque chain because I have a silver one, specifically Because I have a gold one where it's actually I got it on Etsy years ago, or maybe just a random ad, but it's this person who upcycles buttons from designer things. So the one I have is a Chanel button that was made into a necklace, so it's kind of like a real but fake way of wearing a Chanel piece of jewelry. It was like $70. So it was like actually more expensive than anything else I would buy. That day I just felt feisty, I guess.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, you're like I'm a splurge.

Speaker 2:

But that's gold and I wear that a lot. But I didn't have a silver one. Got it like all my other silver stack things are longer, yeah, and I wanted one that was more of a choker style. So I got this macy's it's guess, not sponsored by macy's or guess I wish, because all the um guests has now been doing like Coachella really big and they have this like compound that they rent out these like houses on a cul-de-sac that's like gated. There's probably like 17 houses or something, yeah, and they invite a bunch of creators and a bunch of them that I follow. So all Coachella weekend for weekend one. I was just getting guests content.

Speaker 1:

Okay.

Speaker 2:

I had this before.

Speaker 1:

actually, I was going to say did that influence, but no, you already had it no.

Speaker 2:

But then I went to their site and, like, their sizing is not inclusive, so like I'm not, I guess I can't wear your guest jeans because they don't go above like a size 12.

Speaker 2:

So like in 2025, literally, and Aber off in 2025, literally, and Abercrombie and Hollister have somehow yes, and I was because I was filming a Q&A on my um channel or for my channel earlier and I was talking about Nuuly and how there's these brands they don't have inclusive sizing in their storefronts, but then they do have it available on places like newly, or I guess on their website maybe, but not even, not even. I don't know. It's like a hidden thing, but like a big one. That I remember is anthropology. Like in store, their sizing does not go above maybe a large, maybe extra large, but at least large, and then then on newly, I can get anthropology stuff that goes all the way up to probably a 20. Wow, something.

Speaker 1:

Make it make sense, or you can get it yeah.

Speaker 2:

So that's annoying. And I guess I have a guess. I guess I have a guest necklace but I can't buy the jeans. So it sucks to be me. No, I'm not going to say that, Sorry, you guessed. So that's that. Today is Cinco de Mayo Arriba, the 5th of May if you will yes, the day after May 4th. May the 4th with you, which is my mom's birthday.

Speaker 1:

Oh, it's also Katie's birthday.

Speaker 2:

And it's the day of Star Wars, which, by the way, I have now watched episodes one, two and three.

Speaker 1:

Oh, and have I talked about?

Speaker 2:

this on the podcast? No, I think I told you, maybe in person. I have embarked on a journey of watching the Star Wars movies because Josh loves them, and I made him watch a bunch of things that he didn't want to watch that I like Speaking of. Like the first thing was love island when we first started dating.

Speaker 1:

Oh, I remember he got into that though he didn't.

Speaker 2:

He did get into like knowing the characters and what was happening, but the whole time he was still like this is dumb, uh. And I made him watch a whole season of the challenge, which he also didn't get into, but so there's just been a bunch of things that I've been like.

Speaker 2:

I want you to watch this and I was like what can I watch of yours that? Uh, you will, that is equal. And he said star wars. So we are watching and I chose to watch chronologically and I know that that is apparently the wrong way to do it, but the thing is is I know all the secrets. Like I'm not that far out of the zeitgeist of Star Wars, like I know the big secrets that happen. So I felt like learning the origin story because I have maybe seen like episode one, just like in the world, like my mom was watching it or it was on TV or something.

Speaker 1:

When you say one, do you actually mean episode one or do you mean episode four?

Speaker 2:

Oh sorry, mom was watching it, or it was on tv or something. You say when do you actually mean episode one or do you mean episode?

Speaker 1:

sorry, I mean episode four with harrison ford, which that's it just episode four starring only harrison no, I just mean like the one with harrison ford.

Speaker 2:

I feel like I have, like I've seen bits and pieces and then I also know the big reveals. I know like there's at least two big reveals okay, darth luke, I am your father. Luke, I am your father and the siblings, the siblings. So I thought, watching it chronologically, would be interesting to see the origin stories of the people that I already knew who they were. I knew C-3PO R2-D2. I know Harrison Ford is Luke.

Speaker 1:

No, he's not. Harrison Ford, is not Luke Skywalker.

Speaker 2:

Who is Harrison Ford? Han Solo. Right, sorry, he's not harrison ford is not luke skywalker who was harrison ford. Han solo right, sorry, um, okay, I that was wrong about that, but I did. I did know that luke was his father or he was luke's father. Wrong, no, not harrison ford, I just mean like luke, whoever luke is his father is his father is darth vader, like I knew that.

Speaker 2:

So I just was like this is going to be interesting to me. And I did actually enjoy it, because the first thing I have learned is the origin of C-3PO and R2-D2. Oh yeah, not the first thing, but that was one of the things and I was like, oh, this is actually cool because I did know who they were. How did he get gold? I, he get gold. I learned that now, you know so it might be wrong, but I am actually enjoying it.

Speaker 2:

We watched. We watched um episode three last night, which was the birth of darth vader clone wars no.

Speaker 1:

Episode two is clone wars right yes, episode three was what was it called?

Speaker 2:

christensen becomes yes yeah well, I forget the name of it, but now we have to watch rogue one before we watch episode four you're doing the series.

Speaker 1:

Oh, he wants to watch rogue one first he said that that's the next one oh, because you're doing chronological. Yes, okay, yeah, yeah, that's right. Yeah, I wonder. I know you're more of a star trek guy what you this is not the first time you've said that and and that's not true.

Speaker 2:

It is true, You've definitely talked about that before right, I've literally never I've seen maybe two Star. Trek movies. Is there a space thing that you like?

Speaker 1:

What.

Speaker 2:

There is some space show that you watch.

Speaker 1:

Are you talking about Stargate? Yes, that's what you're talking about. Yeah, yes, that's what you're talking about. Yeah, stargate, sorry, yeah.

Speaker 2:

Oh, so are you a star Wars person.

Speaker 1:

I was about to say like I bet I could pass a quiz if you found one.

Speaker 2:

Oh my God, should I.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, because. So at today at Buzzfeed, lindsay, one of our producers, was talking about how she just did a press junk and so she was like I want to do a Star Wars quiz for them and their people approved it. And she was saying when they went to do the actual quiz, none of them knew the answers and they were pretty bummed about it. Oh, but then she said the questions aren't actually. She's like I don't know anything about Star Wars, but I had Star Wars fans took it.

Speaker 2:

And they were like oh yeah, okay, so I'm just curious if I would pass. Well, this is the first one I saw, so I don't know if it's going to be hard or easy. But about this quiz are you a true star wars fan, looking to put your knowledge to the test? Dive into our ultimate star wars quiz and see if you have what it takes to be a jedi master oh, we'll see in star wars, rewind.

Speaker 2:

In star wars, the force awakens. Which character has darth vader's damaged mask? Fin, finn Rey, kylo Ren, luke Skywalker.

Speaker 1:

Kylo Ren.

Speaker 2:

Correct. In Star Wars film, how did Princess Leia get her title of royalty?

Speaker 1:

In Star Wars film.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, Okay, the weird. I don't know. That is how it is. Yeah, she is the adopted daughter of Bail Organa and Queen Brea Her sharp aim with a blaster A mocking name from Han Solo. Or she's the daughter of Queen Katrina of the Genosians?

Speaker 1:

Oh, it's A.

Speaker 2:

Okay, while the Jedi use a number, of Is that correct. Sorry, that was correct. While the Jedi use a number of. Is that correct? Sorry, that was correct. Well, the Jedi use a number of crystal colors for their lightsabers. What color is preferred by the Sith? Purple, blue, red, green, Red? Correct, Although in the one I just saw the purple one was introduced and I was like I like purple better.

Speaker 1:

You liked Mace Windu's lightsaber.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I think I need him. Who destroyed the droid control ship when they accidentally activated a Naboo fighter's autopilot? Biggs Darklighter, anakin Skywalker, obi-wan Kenobi or Jar Jar Binks?

Speaker 1:

I think it was Jar Jar.

Speaker 2:

Wrong, it was Anakin it was. Anakin In Star Wars. Where does Yoda live when he first trains Luke Skywalker? Tatooine Dagobah, hoth or Karuskant? I think it's Hoth, wrong Dagobah, oh, which also Yoda's cute. Oh, his little sweet face.

Speaker 1:

He is cute.

Speaker 2:

And I was so sad when he was getting beat up.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

But he was alive, at least. For now Spoiler alert. While fighting his own father in the Cloud City, which hand does Luke Skywalker lose? Right left, both, neither.

Speaker 1:

Left.

Speaker 2:

Right, it was wrong. Right, oh damn, but I liked your rendition or your reenactment of him In Star Wars, who defeats Finn in his very first lightsaber duel. I don't know who Finn is, by the way Darth Maul, darth Vader, kurokic Vett or Kylo Ren.

Speaker 1:

Here's the thing. I was hoping for more of a Star Wars 1 through 6 trivia, because I don't really know the new ones, to be honest.

Speaker 2:

Ew. Well, I'm sorry is cute uh, okay, so I don't know who fights him let's just say kylo ren, since that's he's new right, true good job what is chewbacca's weapon of choice? Blaster rifle, lightsaber, metal club bowcaster blaster rifle wrong, bowcaster and you said that so early I know he does have that crossbow when we see him again in the star wars, the force awakens after many years gallivanting around the galaxy with han solo. How old is chewbacca? Under 55, 78, 200 years on the dot, or over 220 years?

Speaker 1:

I think it's 200 on the dot wrong over 220.

Speaker 2:

But I don't like they baited you into that, because what a specific answer? Do you want to sit on my lap? What's happening?

Speaker 1:

what are the creatures living in indoor that Wrong Over 220.

Speaker 2:

But I don't like they baited you into that, because what a specific answer? Do you want to sit on my lap? What's happening? What are the creatures living in Endor that helped the rebels to defeat the second Death Star? Ewoks, Wookiees, Nerf, Herders or Jawas?

Speaker 1:

The first one, ewoks, correct, yep, yep.

Speaker 2:

What was the original title for the star wars movie? Star battles, adventures of luke star killer, the adventures of the jedi, or battles in space? Battles in space no, the adventures of luke star killer oh how many are there? There's a lot of these.

Speaker 1:

Let's just we can stop, we can stop that is I was just curious you did well I will say I have do. I do have fond memories of Star War because when they re-released them in the 90s, they released them like one.

Speaker 2:

They re-released them six months apart and before the episode one came out, correct, yeah.

Speaker 1:

They re-released three, four, five and six in like new digital, whatever. Okay, and every time my dad would come to school and say that he was taking us to a dental appointment and he took us straight to the theater to watch them.

Speaker 2:

Oh, that's cute and that's a fun memory I have. That is a fun memory.

Speaker 1:

That was really sweet.

Speaker 2:

Well, everyone, I'll keep you updated on this, but that is happening and I am not hating it.

Speaker 1:

Okay good, I love that. Yeah it Okay good, I love that. Next, lord of the Rings. I'm sorry you read Fairy Smut but you won't watch Lord of the Rings.

Speaker 2:

I have seen the Fellowship of the Ring.

Speaker 1:

Okay, no, we've talked about this. You haven't. You've seen the Two Towers? Oh, the Two Towers you went to the theaters and saw the second one and were just like, well, okay.

Speaker 2:

Yep.

Speaker 1:

I saw what I needed to see. I just feel like they're really long right they are I think that's what deters me I think I'm gonna watch those again tonight all of them. Well, no, I'll start it. Bring to rule them off okay, well, back, uh, backtracking.

Speaker 2:

It is cinco de mayo and I had some cinco de mayo facts to spit.

Speaker 1:

Share with us.

Speaker 2:

Well, not only is it the 5th of May, we think that it is like the Independence Day of Mexico and that is wrong. That's in September, so really it's just more of an American thing. I think we know that. But it is also celebrated in around the world, including Brisbane, australia, malta and the Cayman Islands. Random, that's like other places where it's like a big thing to celebrate. I don't know if that's Americans took it there and adopted it or what, but Mexico's independence day is September 16th.

Speaker 1:

Okay, and it okay and it celebrates.

Speaker 2:

But what it does celebrate is the unlikely uh victory over france at the battle of puebla during the franco-mexican war in 1862 okay so there's your history lesson there it is um in a non-history. Uh way, americans drink an average of three and a half alcoholic beverages on this day, and that doesn't seem. I would have picked more.

Speaker 1:

Well, average.

Speaker 2:

So you know, there's some people are just having one, seven, yeah, and some people are having. And Americans drink more tequila than any other country, apparently, and we spend $2.9 billion on margaritas every year. And it's just so like us to like take over a tradition or make a tradition ours that has nothing to do with us, just to drink more, yeah, like, can we not? Do we have any thoughts of our own? Well, no. Literally no.

Speaker 1:

No.

Speaker 2:

We pillage and steal and claim it as our own god well, hopefully not anymore under this presidency I'm choosing to to hope for the best.

Speaker 1:

Okay, and and without a positive attitude, without hope, what do we have?

Speaker 2:

Exactly.

Speaker 1:

True.

Speaker 2:

True, how was your weekend?

Speaker 1:

My weekend was good. I was telling Allison I was super gay on Saturday, and by that I just mean I went out to West Hollywood and you would have thought it was New Year's Eve. I have never seen West Hollywood like that in my life.

Speaker 2:

I wonder what you went to the Pink Pony Club I went to the pink pony club, went to the Bayou went to high tops. The Bayou is also so small. It's the smallest place I've ever seen.

Speaker 1:

It was the least busy, though.

Speaker 2:

I wonder why.

Speaker 1:

And then we went back to the Abbey, the pink pony club, and shut it down. Lights nothing more jarring than being like which. I agree with Alison about the music choices. The Abbey is never the best music in my opinion. It's always housey. So they were doing like a remix of Dying in your Arms Tonight by Cutting Crew, but it was like a girl singing it and it was. It was like pretty bumping, and so it's like lights, just like everyone's sweaty, just be like oh the worst. Really bad.

Speaker 2:

And you just like don't look good anymore. No, I'm sure you did. Thank you the good, the one. I think the best part about the abbey is the dancers and the yeah they're great they have like really cool pipes that they like hang from and do really cool acrobatic things or like really a lot of cool poses that take a lot of core strength they also the abby has in those same piping systems.

Speaker 1:

They, they do like they shoot out the really cold air so like the dance floor stays pretty like manageable yeah, but it's too small it is still too small and I was also telling allison I got hit on more than I've ever been hit on in my life. It was a little validating, I will say that's great's great. And then, of course, well, I had I.

Speaker 2:

You did have a good outfit on because I saw you earlier.

Speaker 1:

I did see me earlier that night, and it was. It was a good outfit, it was a fun night out, and I don't do that often. I mean, when we were leaving, they were like will we see you again? I was like hey, I'm here every Wednesday night.

Speaker 2:

Oh yeah, but it's but it's such a different vibe.

Speaker 1:

We're sitting at a table, I can have conversation.

Speaker 2:

It is a different vibe. Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Anyway, and then rewinding Friday. Friday, I actually kept it pretty chill. I did a lot of self-care.

Speaker 2:

I don't ventured that way yet.

Speaker 1:

Currently it's completely blocked as. I said you can walk in there now. Yeah, it was a pretty deece weekend Gym tan oh I'm tanning, oh my God.

Speaker 2:

I'm tanning, I'm not even going to try to hide it from you. Why.

Speaker 1:

Because I want to be tan. It makes me feel better about myself.

Speaker 2:

Get a spray tan.

Speaker 1:

No, I don't like that. I feel like sun tanning versus chemical tanning can't be that big of a difference.

Speaker 2:

That's insane.

Speaker 1:

What? I cover up my face so.

Speaker 2:

Okay, well, I hope you go plan on going to the dermatologist very often.

Speaker 1:

Well, now that I have health insurance, I fucking will.

Speaker 2:

Well, please do, because I am scared.

Speaker 1:

I know you are.

Speaker 2:

And we are white.

Speaker 1:

That is a fact.

Speaker 2:

Um, I I don't think. Do you think the tan, like spray tanning, is bad for you?

Speaker 1:

I mean, it's a chemical that stains your skin. It can't be good.

Speaker 2:

All right, but I think it's better than.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah, yeah, uh. Then saturday before the pink pony club, you and I were at the same birthday party.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, then you had another birthday yeah, our paths crossed slightly for like 30 minutes, yeah, but I had to another birthday party to get to and that sucked because I wanted to hang out it is funny.

Speaker 1:

Do you ever have moments where you're like, wow, like we. We run in same, similar circles, but like can show up at different times?

Speaker 2:

yeah, and it not be weird yes, meaning like you've.

Speaker 1:

You're pretty established, angeleno now oh, because I have like actual, like groups of friend groups, wow, and like they cross into some of my friends, but it's like we technically met those people at the same time yeah you know, yeah, that's pretty cool.

Speaker 2:

I don't think I'll call myself an angelina just because that feels fraudulent.

Speaker 1:

Still how many years, you think a dozen probably 10, 10, yeah, I call myself an angelina, or rather I don't call myself one. But when I tell people I've been here long, like that, is what people's reaction always is they're like oh, you're an angelina, yeah and it's true, I think.

Speaker 2:

If other people say it at that point I will, yeah, I'll believe it. But it's only been what? Three or four years now, three, uh friday I watched the pacers game with hayley. We went to a sports bar and we were very sporty and we watched the Pacers game and the Pacers lost. So that was not done. And then we hopped on over next door to the wine bar and had a glass of wine.

Speaker 1:

Hopped on over.

Speaker 2:

And that was that Saturday, oh that was the parties. And I was very tired. Yeah, the second party you went to was a house party right the parties and I was very tired.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, the second party you went to was a house party, right?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, and I didn't even stay that long. I was like emotionally and mentally and physically I can't hang. Yeah, I yeah.

Speaker 1:

Love you all Gotta go.

Speaker 2:

Yes, I did, and I went home and that was it. And then yesterday I worked out and oh, I got a massage. Because I have a, I get a monthly massage. I have a subscription. We know this. I got scammed into getting a 90 minute massage. What do you?

Speaker 1:

mean? What do you?

Speaker 2:

mean Because, well, I was glad to have it because I my neck was super sore from our last live stream. I just, I guess, overdid it.

Speaker 1:

You whipped your hair back and forth.

Speaker 2:

Too much. Yes, and I've also been running I because I feel like I said this I want to run a 5k.

Speaker 2:

So I've also been doing that and I've just I was very sore and so I I got I last minute, like two hours before, booked it Okay, the massage. And I got there and the guy at the counter was like okay, so I have a couple options for you. And I was like what? He was like you booked a 90 minute spot, which that's not that. What do you mean? I booked a 90 minute spot.

Speaker 1:

How long have you been booking these massages? For years.

Speaker 2:

Literally like five years, and it the I said I want to to do this. And it came up the times and I clicked the time, like I didn't click a 90 minute because it would have been more expensive and it would have shown a more expensive price. So I don't know what that meant. But he was like you booked a 90 minute time slot so, um, you could upgrade to a 90 minute massage or we could split it and you could get a facial after this does feel like a scam which they do facials, or, like you could keep it the 30 minutes and I was like you know what I?

Speaker 1:

feel like a little self-care.

Speaker 2:

it was 30 different, crazy that's terrible. So I did upgrade to the 90 minutes, and then Haley and I were going to watch the game again, but she wasn't feeling well, so I just went home and I cooked dinner.

Speaker 1:

Like a replay yeah.

Speaker 2:

No, the next game. That's how much you loved it.

Speaker 1:

Oh right, they're in the playoffs or something, right Cause I caught the end of like the Lakers against a team. I don't remember who the Lakers are playing, cause I'm not really watching them, but um I'm told it could be really epic if the Lakers and the golden state are the ones in the last they would be the Western Conference Finals and then whoever wins the Eastern Conference Finals would play one of those teams Got it.

Speaker 2:

But it is. I mean, lebron is nearing the end.

Speaker 1:

That's what they're saying, like it would be epic if he and Steph played against each other. Yeah.

Speaker 2:

I don't think Steph is like retiring yet but LeBron is. No, they said like four or five years for like retiring yet, but lebron like it is for stuff yeah, lebron is.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, isn't he like 68?

Speaker 2:

no, he's like 39 lebron james yeah, because you can't play, you can't think of kobe bryant maybe well, kobe is past.

Speaker 1:

Lebron james is definitely like in his 50s.

Speaker 2:

No you can't play basketball that long who says our body, wasn't that?

Speaker 1:

wasn't brett farve a quarterback till. He was like 99 he is 40. He's born in 1984 oh, brett farve was a quarterback until he was at least 60 no, probably 40s.

Speaker 2:

you tried, just thought you probably just that he's only 55 right now.

Speaker 1:

Brett Favre.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, okay, let me go.

Speaker 1:

He was 55 when we were in high school.

Speaker 2:

No, he probably just looked a mess. He played until 2010. So how long ago was that? 15 years ago. So what's 55 minus 15?

Speaker 1:

40.

Speaker 2:

He was 40.

Speaker 1:

Which is ancient football years.

Speaker 2:

It's ancient in most sports, unless it's really golf. But even then, like your hips, your hips got to move. So in professional sports they always do seem older than they are. But, yeah, you can't really play. I feel like past 40 and that's pushing it.

Speaker 1:

Well, before we jump back to getting out of Sports Corner, while we're in it.

Speaker 2:

Oh, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1:

I will tell you guys Remember how stressed I was about my dodgeball game. Everyone ditched, so there was just I literally ended up with only 12 people.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

And we still won. We did win four to two. Nice For everyone sending prayers, thank you.

Speaker 2:

I know you are, that's good. We lost, I don't know, did it have?

Speaker 1:

you're done.

Speaker 2:

Did I say this last time, though, or had we played after?

Speaker 1:

No, because we recorded last Monday and you were, you had already finished.

Speaker 2:

I thought we played on Tuesdays.

Speaker 1:

You did.

Speaker 2:

We recorded last Monday, but I'm pretty sure we played on Tuesday.

Speaker 1:

No, you were done already. The Tuesday prior was your last one.

Speaker 2:

All right. Well, there you go. As a reminder, I lost and it's but you played. That's okay, it's okay.

Speaker 1:

But anyway, you were saying you were going to watch the replay game with Haley.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, but she wasn't feeling well, so I home and I cooked some turkey burgers and I watched it at home and Josh came over.

Speaker 1:

I will never understand the let's put on the game. I'll just never know it, I'll never know.

Speaker 2:

I know it's okay. You didn't grow up playing sports, and that's okay.

Speaker 1:

I played baseball and I enjoyed going to the Colts games.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, and I just don't like it on television I hate it on television. I like going to sporting events, except, except baseball I think you need to go again with different people to baseball.

Speaker 1:

Yes, no, no I do not like. I don't like the.

Speaker 2:

I don't like no no, I'll go to a basketball game, I do want to go to a lakers game I also do want to do that.

Speaker 1:

Tell me again why you don't like the dodgers games because you're like sitting around people who care too much and it's just like you can't talk. Because, like people care about paying attention to this game and like I was spoiled with the first two times I went we were in box seats so I was like it's eating, it's drinking. It's like cheering when everyone's cheering. I was on the jumbotron, so it's just like. Then I went down to the regular seats and I was like who?

Speaker 2:

does this? Who does this? I think that you could possibly sit by someone who is not that megan and I got so bored that we went shopping instead.

Speaker 1:

We went to the dodgers gift shop and shopped for like an hour and a half, all right, I don't.

Speaker 2:

it's just if, like other sports, it's weird to me that you cause I feel like all the sports are the same If you go to a basketball game, people are going to care.

Speaker 1:

You know what it is? I think I'm just realizing it's the stadium setting Cause, like I loved going to my brother's baseball games in high school. Yeah, but like being at a park on bleachers.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, you can sit in the outfield that's bleachers.

Speaker 1:

We'll see.

Speaker 2:

The sun would be in our eyes for a long time, though.

Speaker 1:

I do also like watching soccer games.

Speaker 2:

We should go to the LAFC or not? The LAFC the women's team.

Speaker 1:

Who was I talking to about the women's team?

Speaker 2:

Maybe me, because I would like to go.

Speaker 1:

I know someone who has season tickets.

Speaker 2:

And I know someone who works with them.

Speaker 1:

So we're connected. We should go. Who was it that was like me and my sister go. But if she ever doesn't want to go, oh, it's katie, my friend katie.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, katie has season tickets and to the women's the women's team she said, they're really fun and if and lafc is apparently really fun too I've been to a galaxy game that's just far away it is far away, but my friend was singing the

Speaker 2:

national anthem, so I just went oh cute, yeah, lafc plays like in town, like closer but yeah, I really, and she was like they're actually so fucking fun, the girls yeah, when we were in on tour in north carolina, hayley and I randomly went to a match because it was like within walking distance and the boys were doing something else and we were like we're going to go get a beer and watch this soccer game and we had the best time, yeah. So I do recommend and we should go um sports, go sports. Speaking of sweating yeah.

Speaker 2:

I am trying out a new deodorant and I just thought I would tell everyone where you served an ad that you felt I feel like I know the ad. Salt Air.

Speaker 1:

Yes.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah, because I but I've seen that brand before and cause it's in like most stores, so it's not like I knew it wasn't a product, that I might not know what I'm getting from TikTok, but I was intrigued by the serum deodorant because I am scared of natural deodorants. I haven't switched yet, guys. I know I'm still on the degree.

Speaker 1:

Me too, and with the aluminum and the poisonous things?

Speaker 2:

Right, but the natural deodorants scare me because I feel like you have to or not. I feel I know you have to go through that transition of like the toxins coming out of your body and you do not smell good and there's like weird stuff going on with the hair Like it's like gross. I know that people do it and when you come out on the other side like I'm sure you have a great time, but the the amount of time to put in the work to do in that I haven't been willing to do the serum deodorant intrigued me with salt air. This is not an ad, I just I've only had it for two days also, so I don't know what's going on. But it's like it was marketed as skincare deodorant and yesterday, wearing it, I loved the smell of the one I got and I didn't smell like BO, so that was good.

Speaker 2:

Today I went on a run and when I got done I did a sniff test and I smelled fine. So I might be into. The only thing is is you have to let it dry. It's like on the instructions, it's like let dry for 30 to 60 seconds, because, if not, not because I didn't do that once and it was very wet under here I see okay so you do have to do that, which is annoying like you put it on.

Speaker 2:

And then I had my little like makeup fan. I was like fanning myself, yeah, and it took a while to do so, don't not loving that part of it, but love the scent. And now I want every single thing in that I can get in that. I want the shampoo, the body wash. I did get the body wash too, because I was like I want the combo, yeah, but there's body butter, there's body scrub, there's hair oil, there's hair or um body mist.

Speaker 2:

Oh, same. Thing. I now because I like the smell so much. It's like the Santal, something Obsessed, and I want everything I own to smell like that.

Speaker 1:

I love that for you.

Speaker 2:

So follow me on this journey. I'll let you know if it goes south, but so far enjoying the serum.

Speaker 1:

Okay, oh, also you guys. We went disney on thursday we did actually make it there and we decided to bring microphones and like record it, to make it like either a bonus episode or maybe we'll make it an episode. I will say I did listen.

Speaker 2:

The audio is not great oh really yeah, I think because we're talking too loud.

Speaker 1:

A little bit of that. A little bit Just the quality.

Speaker 2:

I can probably clean it up a little bit.

Speaker 1:

So I don't know Like if we'll, I'll edit it together and we'll see if it's like worth being an episode or just being like some bonus material. But we did have a very successful time at Disney.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it was good.

Speaker 1:

We got into the Blue Bayou.

Speaker 2:

Oh my gosh, you guys.

Speaker 1:

Allison finally got the Blue Bayou experience.

Speaker 2:

I finally got it Loved the darkness.

Speaker 1:

The vibes immaculate, the food delicious.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, great the drinks meh.

Speaker 1:

We did have a espresso martini, though that was delightful. Yes, that was at Pim's yes we will be getting that again in a week.

Speaker 2:

Literally, there's new coffees, though I don't know what to do. There's new coffees, though. What, what?

Speaker 1:

do you mean? Do I know about this?

Speaker 2:

I don't know if I sent it to you, but I saw there's new food dropping on the 30th, which always happens?

Speaker 1:

Oh, always it does. We go once and the merch that I was looking for drops the first.

Speaker 2:

Oh, so it'll be there. Yes, nice, I got a new sweatshirt. Go look at my Instagram, yeah, she got so lucky.

Speaker 1:

The thing she was looking for they actually had.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

And I really didn't think so. You were like it's not going to happen.

Speaker 2:

I was like well, yeah, we're definitely going to look, but it's not going to be there.

Speaker 1:

I would have gotten the one too big. Yeah, yeah, but truly, like, cast members are pretty knowledgeable, I'd say, because to be a cast member. I feel like 90 of them are like disney obsessed, so they really do know everything going on yeah but like we were looking, I was looking for this specific magic band that, like people, can really help us with. So by the time we were looking for this sweatshirt, I was like I don't know if anyone's actually gonna know, but I'm a good asker, like I'm not afraid to ask.

Speaker 2:

So a lot of some people have like that thing in them. That's like they if, if they don't see it, they're not gonna ask. They're either, um, like the social awkwardness of it, like doesn't let them do that, or they're like it's not worth it. It's too much work to ask, and I'm always like I will ask for directions, I will ask for help or whatever.

Speaker 1:

Not, I'm not worried about it I'm ask averse in situations like for merch items because they're just doing it like it's like. I'm not adding no, because like I just feel like I guess I am burnt because like places, like six flags, they're never gonna know. And it's like you just know they're never going to know, and so I just assume the person's not going to know, and then I'm going to get stuck in a conversation that I don't want to be and just tell me yes or no.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Or like I don't know. Just be honest, Don't be like, oh, maybe it's over there which went into the store and Allison was like I don't know, Do you guys have, do you know where this would be? And he literally goes there.

Speaker 2:

He pointed across the streets over there, sure, sure was.

Speaker 1:

It's real cute. Karina is obsessed with it. She's going to get one Nice I was like well, lucky for you, we know exactly where it is.

Speaker 2:

Exactly where it is. Yeah, it's a lightning McQueen like color blocked quarter zip sweatshirt.

Speaker 1:

She thought it was a windbreaker. I was like, no, no, it's a sweatshirt. It would have been cool if it was. It would have been cool yeah, I agree.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I had a good time, uh, filming and all those things so I do hope that it comes out, even if it is a bonus ep, that'd be fun she got to ride the train for the first time yeah, that was cute the og animatronics yeah, some things were closed, which are always closed, and Indiana Jones was not, was it?

Speaker 1:

it wasn't just closed.

Speaker 2:

It was barred up. Yeah, it is on lockdown and what else is well, tiana's was. We weren't going to go on Tiana's, but it was closed. I'm pretty sure.

Speaker 1:

It might've been.

Speaker 2:

Or maybe you just couldn't get lightning lane. Anyway, yeah, we're going again in a bit, but and and it's gonna be hard for me not to buy something else I'm saying well, especially if they drop that sweatshirt that I'm literally looking for yeah we are.

Speaker 1:

Our next goal is to write, make a list of everything we haven't done at both parks oh, yeah, yeah, I want to do that so that we can actually like, with intention, do these things we've never done yeah, even if it seems silly like we've never played a game on the boardwalk never played a game on the boardwalk.

Speaker 2:

I've never done dumbo right like we've and I will do it I'll do dumbo.

Speaker 1:

I won't do the teacups because I know I will get sick yeah, I have done the teacups before, so at disney world, yeah we haven't done.

Speaker 2:

I don't need to do it. We haven't done jojo's train we haven't done.

Speaker 1:

I don't need to do it either. We haven't done Jojo's train we haven't done.

Speaker 2:

Jojo's train.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, that's the little train where you are in the cages.

Speaker 2:

Oh, who's Jojo?

Speaker 1:

I don't know. That's what it's called.

Speaker 2:

I need to talk about Jojo later.

Speaker 1:

We haven't done. Have you done the submarine you have?

Speaker 2:

I have.

Speaker 1:

I have not done the submarine. You and Romeo and Karina.

Speaker 2:

Got it. Are you claustrophobic?

Speaker 1:

Yeah, but I'll do it.

Speaker 2:

I don't think that it will be that stressful for you because you can see there is like a worker, a cast member that stands in the middle and there's a porthole and you can see the outside. So and it definitely doesn't actually fully submerge, it's just until it just enough to go uh the windows to be submerged. So I think being able to see the outside will be.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I actually didn't see that on the wait times when we were there. Now that I think about it oh. But then, like, the reason we haven't done a lot of things is because we typically stick to the things where we can get lightning lanes, because we don't want to wait 20 plus minutes and most things most of those things do have that, but we don't want to wait 20 plus minutes and most things most of those things do have that, but we don't have to do them all on a trip.

Speaker 2:

but it's like we should start checking off that list yeah, like we can just be like, okay, if, if the submarine is a 40 minute wait I don't think it'll actually be 40 minutes for one and we can just be like, okay, this is our one. Yeah, yeah, wait in line thing, yeah, but yes, all in all, a trip. It was my first time this year. I know that sounds crazy, but I haven't been since, I think, november.

Speaker 1:

Oh, wow, with me. And now, by the way, guys, exciting news for us They've opened up our passes and we get two weeks in December.

Speaker 2:

Oh yeah, we need to be on that because it's going to get it's gonna fill up first, what else oh breaking news? Breaking news the conclave will be starting in two days from when this episode comes out, the seventh oh my gosh, so you need to. Josh watched it, so now you need to watch it I need to watch.

Speaker 1:

Did he enjoy it?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, okay, shit, yeah, I can't talk to you about it Until you watch it, because, yeah, copy. The comments are on Things that I can't tell you.

Speaker 1:

Right right, right, right Okay.

Speaker 2:

Okay, have we talked about Jojo and Big Brother?

Speaker 1:

A little, but not a lot but not since it's ended. Correct and everything Correct Okay.

Speaker 2:

So I need to okay I need to talk about this again because big brother uk is over. Jojo has emerged. I think she got third place. Okay, the controversy continued, so I think the last time we did mention that she's flirting her and the guy are flirting chris, and we had talked about what's mick jagger, no mickey rourke, who got expelled for being homophobic and all those things.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, he's out of there so I think that's what we talked about, and after that, chris from love island and jojo just like continued to get closer and they were cuddling all the time and being all over each other and like, making up dances and flirting and everyone was like they clearly are crossing a line. Jojo has been in a relationship with kath ebbs.

Speaker 1:

I don't know who this person is I believe that they are an english dancer, a dancer. I did not know that well okay.

Speaker 2:

So, actor, I think they are an English dancer, a dancer. I did not know that. Well, okay.

Speaker 1:

So Actor? I think they're an actor.

Speaker 2:

Okay, well, they were making videos being like I think it's for game and like I'm really not worried, like whatever. So maybe Jojo did say like if I have to flirt, I have to flirt Like if she was really going in to win, like some people do that If they're um did she win? No, she got third, I'm pretty sure.

Speaker 2:

Oh actually not bad. But some people go into those games if they're married or in relationships and they're like you know what, Like if I have to flirt with someone, just know that it's just game and like it's not real or whatever.

Speaker 2:

I don't know if I would do that or if I would like that to happen, but I do know that that has happened before in those kind of games and so now that they're out, I've seen some interviews and they're both saying their relationship was platonic. It's giving, jojo has feelings and he, yeah, thinks of her as a friend. But I also I think that that's a cop-out sometimes that people say, like when it's the girl, it's like obviously the girl has to have more feelings than, okay, the guy does. I think that that's just like a trope that maybe our brains tell us because he could have feelings for her, like it's not, yeah, whatever, but jojo broke up with kath yeah, at the after party, which I, I, so I watched this interview with Jojo and Chris.

Speaker 2:

They did made him do it together and they were asking them about their relationship, which is crazy. It was a British publication or like a TV show, so maybe they're more forward and those types of things, but I was like that's kind of crazy that they're doing that.

Speaker 2:

But so the narrative that we were all seeing is kath flew there to the after to surprise her go to the after party, and then jojo broke up with them. What jojo was saying is that kath was didn't want to come to the after party, and so jojo was like okay, then I'm just gonna party and I'll see you later. And then kath changed their mind and did want to go, and so jojo was like well, I feel like we have to have a conversation then. And I guess kath asked jojo like are you happy? And jojo was like no. And so then that's why Jojo broke up.

Speaker 2:

So that makes it sound a little bit better than just I'm out and I'm breaking up with you, like that sounds worse, but on this interview on this television show, they asked about the relationship with Kath with kath and jojo was basically like I got into the show and I was immediately cut off from the outside world and all I had to do was think and I realized that I wasn't happy, which is like very honest, yeah, yeah, and wild. But do you think, like she should have, not, I mean, flirted so much, like if you, if you went in and you were like, okay, now that I am thinking about it, I am not happy in my relationship, would you? You would probably just keep that inside until the end, right, and then like go home and be like okay, look, this is what happened. Or would you just be like you know what? Fuck it, I'm gonna flirt and do whatever and I'll deal with it when I get out. I don't know.

Speaker 1:

It seems like a little rude I feel like she broke up with them in her head when she got in there and yeah kind of uh, threw her inhibitions out the window a little bit and probably wasn't being as respectful as she could have been, because in her brain she was like I'm going to break up with them when I'm out of here.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, obviously it's hard when you are like in a show like that where you're cut off from the world and you forget everything. You forget you're being filmed at, sometimes because it's a 24-hour live feed and most shows aren't like that, right. So I can, I assume and I have heard people on big brother say like you kind of forget, yeah, and you. That's why people say things they get in trouble for, because they're not like paying attention to that and she's still young. We forget that she's young.

Speaker 2:

So I I agree with everyone saying she was being disrespectful, because I think that she was, and if she really thought about it and in her having having a sexual awakening and realizing that she, you know, is not a lesbian and she's queer and she is allowing herself to have feelings for a man, all those things love that for her. But in your mind you do have to be like there are other people's feelings involved in this and I don't know. So I have softened a little bit to jojo on this one, because I know that she had a, you know, something happened to her while she was in there.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, but also it's not good not, not a great look, not a great look hi, stan, you're cute he's flopped over. Yeah, well, should we get into a list of the week. What's on your?

Speaker 2:

a list of the week my alist of the week is we got these chocolate chip cookies at disneyland which we've gotten before I was about to be so mad, but I'm involved in this.

Speaker 1:

It's like where'd you get chocolate chip?

Speaker 2:

yeah, what the heck at disneyland if you, we, this is in the video that we did, obviously, but this is going to come out before then. So I'm telling you now uh, the chocolate chip cookies at the Harbor galley it's across from the haunted mansion Uh, those are. You can get a six or a 12 pack and but they're like small cookies. We've known this.

Speaker 1:

I think we've talked about it before but did not know that you could get a 12 pack and feel a little bit gypped that you only got six.

Speaker 2:

What are we going to do with a 12?

Speaker 1:

pack of cookies. Cookies Six was perfect.

Speaker 2:

When we go on the 7th, 8th or 9th whenever that is I don't know which day it is I always say the wrong date. We have a lot more people. We could get a 12-pack.

Speaker 1:

Well, maybe two 12-packs.

Speaker 2:

Sure, how many would you realistically want to eat in one sitting without feeling sick?

Speaker 1:

Four.

Speaker 2:

Why don't you just get your own six pack and you can save the two You're?

Speaker 1:

absolutely right.

Speaker 2:

For when you get hungry again later.

Speaker 1:

Oh well, then, if it's my own six pack, then I'll have two, and then I'll have two a little bit later.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, and then two to finish it off, but they're good because they're warm, they're warm as hell, but really what my A list of the week is is the hazelnut spread that now you can get with it. About it but you they.

Speaker 1:

You can get a little hazelnut spread to go with it and dip your cookie in and it is delightful. I need you all who are visualizing this right now to know that she's saying spread, because that's what it's called, but it isn't like a nutella spread, it's like a mousse oh yeah, it's like a mousse light and whipped and yeah it's like an icing or whipped cream mixed with yeah, like a hazelnut spread. It's like cool whip consistency correct.

Speaker 2:

Correct.

Speaker 1:

That's what it is.

Speaker 2:

That is good to note.

Speaker 1:

It is because, like it does change the texture in a way that's delightful.

Speaker 2:

Yes, and I know that, that if you're not around Disneyland or Disney World, then you can't get that right now. And what I'm going to tell you next?

Speaker 1:

Listen up, Listen everyone.

Speaker 2:

For my second A-list of the week, which is really just goes with the first one, is if you've never had a Monte Cristo sandwich, you must find one at your local restaurant.

Speaker 2:

Yes, Somewhere somewhere has to have it. A Monte Cristo sandwich is a turkey and ham cheese sandwich that has that is deep fried, and I know what you're thinking that's crazy and it is a wild concept, but it is delicious and they sprinkle a little um powdered sugar on top and then there's usually a raspberry or berry jam that is served with it, that you either spread on top or dip in, and it is a delightful meal and if you share it with someone then it makes it a little less crazy to eat I've also had a monte Monte Cristo at a diner before, where the where it is that same sandwich, but it's just with French toast.

Speaker 1:

So a similar concept just isn't deep fried.

Speaker 2:

That is probably well. Does it taste the same?

Speaker 1:

It tastes pretty similar. It doesn't have like the crunch Like that is the part of the Disneyland. One is like the crunchy flaky outer. My mouth was watering.

Speaker 2:

And I will say it wasn't huge, so it wasn't that crazy, I mean.

Speaker 1:

No, they cut it into three pieces.

Speaker 2:

Yeah. So I guess because we shared it, it didn't seem that crazy. I guess if you got it yourself, it's a little crazy.

Speaker 1:

But you did discover you sent me a video that there's somewhere in Disneyland that sells the mini Christos.

Speaker 2:

Yes, I do need to try it if you never have and I concur sorry, I have a hair on my face that is itching me you take care of that.

Speaker 1:

Is it like a fuzz, maybe, on the microphone?

Speaker 2:

that's like touching your lip I can't see it, but maybe I'm gonna hold it a little bit away because I'm like going crazy, okay well, guys, my a-list of the week has left my mind one moment.

Speaker 1:

Okay, my list of the week, and I recommend everyone watch this, is a show. It's on uh peacock and it's just completed and it's called the americas. Okay it's it's about. It's a nature show and you know I love those. Yeah, but it's been. They shot it over five years. It's narrated by tom hanks cute and it is the.

Speaker 1:

it's actually probably the most fascinating uh like nature show I've ever seen the cameras that they use, the, the way that they're the things that they capture, like I was watching it being like how this has to be AI. How are they getting this on film?

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

But then the last episode. The whole episode is a behind the scenes on how they did this over the course of five years, and it's remarkable.

Speaker 2:

Oh.

Speaker 1:

I mean we're talking about. They were in remote places that, like humans, haven't gone.

Speaker 2:

Like in above ground or below ground, like the ocean or it's all over.

Speaker 1:

So there's an ocean episode, but it's like some of it's in the US. Most of it isn't, and it's just like insects or animals that we rarely have caught on video doing something like insane. That like where they're known for Like, there's this one where they catch the flamingos in the wild. These flamingos live in a remote part, somewhere that took humans don't go and it took the camera crew two weeks to get there, like out.

Speaker 2:

They were the first humans to be there.

Speaker 1:

Well, it's like humans can't get there. So we know about it, but people don't go there. But it takes from like civilization. It took two weeks of driving to get to this so come for two weeks, two weeks of remote how did they fuel up? They just had to take it with them they did, yeah, and it was like a caravan, but like scary be two weeks away from civilization yeah, that's wild.

Speaker 2:

They had to have like protection, I'm assuming.

Speaker 1:

And the water where these flamingos live, these specific flamingos, where they were trying to catch this dance that these flamingos do, and it's insane. These flamingos all dance in unison. What it's wild? Nature's crazy, but the water is toxic to skin. Like if you touch the water there's corrosion, there's corrosive elements in it that your skin just starts to burn. So they're waiting in this water with cameras for hours just to catch these flamingos.

Speaker 2:

They're wearing like suits.

Speaker 1:

Waterproof suits. How?

Speaker 2:

do they know if humans can't really get there, like someone has gone there before? That's what I mean.

Speaker 1:

Like it's been explored, but it's like they knew these flamingos lived there.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

But it's not like there's no town, there's no civilization, it's just so deep in nature.

Speaker 2:

That's crazy.

Speaker 1:

Anyway, the show is fascinating and it's 10 episodes and they just completed and it was. That does sound really cool, like they followed this pod of orcas, who are the first orcas They've been tracking them for years now who have learned how to go on land to grab a seal and take it back into the water oh my god and they caught on film, which means they stalked this pod forever. The matriarch orca teaching the youth orca how to do it oh my gosh, they just shimmy yeah, they throw their bodies up there, grab a and then shimmy back into the water.

Speaker 1:

That's crazy. It's literally like, and it's fucking crazy.

Speaker 2:

So now they're not only the top of the food chain in the water, now they're on land.

Speaker 1:

And they're wearing salmon as hats.

Speaker 2:

That is a crazy thing to say.

Speaker 1:

Do you know?

Speaker 2:

this no.

Speaker 1:

Orcas are killing salmon and then tossing them on their heads and wearing them as hats.

Speaker 2:

I have to look up the photo of this.

Speaker 1:

It was a phenomenon that they did like years ago and they've started doing it again. Type it in Orcas wearing salmon as hats.

Speaker 2:

I didn't have to finish typing it. Images oh my God.

Speaker 1:

It's just a dead fish's sitting so upright.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, what are these fake pictures?

Speaker 1:

it's real how.

Speaker 2:

This is not a real photo.

Speaker 1:

This looks computer generated well, maybe the one that is what you're looking at.

Speaker 2:

You need to read an article like is this is a real photo. No, I'll say that is not a real photo okay, well, a bunch of them, a bunch of them look like that. So obviously no, I know that's what I'm saying, but most of them that are coming up will look like that. Okay, While on the subject of like animal shows I don't know what it's called, so I can't recommend this.

Speaker 1:

I know what you're talking about, dr Oakley. Yukon Vet no.

Speaker 2:

No, josh had me watch this show one random, like Saturday morning. That is similar, like it's really good cameras following small animals or insects and there's someone who narrates it.

Speaker 1:

That's really funny is it called a bug's life?

Speaker 2:

yes, yeah, and season two is about to come out it's a good show yeah, it's incredible, it's like it's like funny, like the narration is funny and it's like showing how they like procreate and the lenses on these cameras.

Speaker 1:

It's insanity. Yeah, they're under the water and they're getting microscopic things.

Speaker 2:

I enjoyed that show, so if it's like that, I will also enjoy this one. It is like that, and it's so good.

Speaker 1:

My other A-list of the week is a documentary called Not Just a Goof, and it's about the Goofy movie which is, as everyone knows, my top is oh, that has come out cried like a baby. It's unreal. The the like how no one appreciated this movie in its time and it's now become like such a cultural yeah, I'm glad that, and they talk about when it happened, so it was like 20 years later.

Speaker 1:

So it was like 25, 2014, 2013. Well, just celebrate its 30th year. So 2010, um, or 2015. Yeah, 2015. In 2015, they went, they had a small panel at the D D 23, the Disney convention, and they had to turn away thousands of people because they didn't realize that people cared about a goofy movie. It was just they used a small room. There was a panel. It was voted the number one panel of the whole event.

Speaker 2:

Oh, wow.

Speaker 1:

And it was after that event that Disney was like hold on a second.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

But like the most fascinating part, so like for me it was like the music of a goofy movie is what resonated with me. But also, specifically, powerline was the first pop star that made me be like, oh my God, I want to be that.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, wait, when did the original movie come out?

Speaker 1:

um 98 yeah, I didn't know about it until no 95 high school when, like people, started using it in choke wire yes, so I my parents bought it on vhs like pretty shortly after it came out so I had seen it like when I was six years old yeah and like, would watch it on repeat and the parts. So like the way they animated power line and like the dancing and all that. They had actual dancers on, like a sound stage with a grid doing the actual, like everything you see that they animated, they literally just copied from dancers doing the exact movements.

Speaker 2:

But before they had those like suits that they wear, so it was just like a grid that they could like track. Oh, okay. So like a real choreographer came in so much time.

Speaker 1:

I know, even like the funny, even all the funny moments on stage when, like Goofy like shows up, it's like there were act dancers playing these actors.

Speaker 2:

Do you know who the choreographer was?

Speaker 1:

I don't, but it's fascinating and I was just like, wow, this, this is crazy. This movie is and it took them so many years to make.

Speaker 2:

So many years to make I imagine especially just with that yeah, so I highly recommend guys.

Speaker 1:

It's also or that is on disney plus and it's called, not just a goof.

Speaker 2:

Cute, by the way, the magic band that Alex is looking for is the power line the power line. So if you guys know about it, let us know please Some positive proof that I'm not just a goof.

Speaker 1:

Okay.

Speaker 2:

Cute, well, today's birthday, happy birthday to you Go ahead. Adele.

Speaker 1:

No, oh wait, yeah, what Adele is two.

Speaker 2:

When did you say no?

Speaker 1:

38 37.

Speaker 2:

But why did you say no, I was just fucking with you. Oh, I thought you were like. I know her birthday and I know that it's not today.

Speaker 1:

Today's her fake out birthday.

Speaker 2:

Henry Cavill, okay Is 42, superman know that it's not today's her fake out birthday. Uh, henry cavill okay it's 42 superman chris brown is 36. I didn't know that he was that close in age to us 89 yes, young boy just turned 16, there you go. Daniel fishel is 44.

Speaker 1:

Boy Meets World.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, you thought it was Fisher, but it's Fishel. Yeah, hank Green is 45.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

He is a. He's just like a big on social media. He has a brother that writes. He wrote the Fault in Our Stars.

Speaker 1:

Oh.

Speaker 2:

It's their brothers. Hank Green he's like more science-y. He'll make videos like talking about science. And his brother wrote the Fault in Our Stars. People know him In terms of entertainment. Guardians of the Galaxy. Volume 2 and Volume 3 came out today, in 2017 and 2023 respectively. Wow, okay so they chose the same day, but not with the first one.

Speaker 1:

Interesting.

Speaker 2:

That is interesting. The song Me Too by Meghan Trainor, Thank you For my Career, came out in 2016.

Speaker 1:

Okay.

Speaker 2:

Which is wild. Yeah, I really can't listen to that song anymore because I've done it too much. But that that, like you know how people are doing that trend of um the butterfly effect is crazy, because, whatever, honestly, what if megan trainer never came out with me too, I wouldn't be sitting here today quite possibly that's probably not true no but it's dramatic to say yeah, the song.

Speaker 1:

This is america this is america in 2018 which culturally I wrote a cultural reset wow, is that what you're about to say?

Speaker 2:

crazy, true, like really true, and the song what you say with jason derulo with jason derulo came out in 2009. I loved the image and heap song hide and seek. Hide and seek. When would you say that came out?

Speaker 1:

I didn't look it up, but I didn't see that probably came out in like oh six yeah, we used to have.

Speaker 2:

I said this before we used to dance to this are you just saying that because you're anticipating that, or I've said it before?

Speaker 1:

You were a dancer in high school and every contemporary person I knew was dancing to hide and seek.

Speaker 2:

Well, what I was? More more specifically, my old dance studio had a door that went to the outside, and when it would rain, you mean the entrance to the place? No, no, there was a side door. Oh okay, it went to the outside, okay, and when it would rain we would open the door, because the rain would come in the way it was made it would like come in.

Speaker 1:

And you wanted to get it wet. This is definitely bad for the floor.

Speaker 2:

But we would do this for some reason and we would turn off all the lights and we would improv and we loved to improv to the image and heap sorry, you would, as dancers, make the floor slippery for yourself well, it was yeah, but it was turn off all the lights. Such a thing to like dance in the rain and improv what a cool studio owner to be like.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, go ahead, go ahead and do that, but sign a waiver.

Speaker 2:

Ruin my floor. She probably signed off on it for sure. Oh yeah, well, anyway, that is.

Speaker 1:

That's funny. I know you haven't shared that before.

Speaker 2:

Okay, good, you know I'm really bad at that. So a new anecdote, if you will.

Speaker 1:

Love.
