behind these hazel eyes I took the took the low option, obviously I'm gonna take the high option whoa, do you look at these lights? I set those up so weird, but it looks good, it's fine. I mean, it looked good, it is what it is.
Speaker 1:Okay, welcome back to the A-List Podcast With Allison and Alex.
Speaker 2:I'm Allison, she's Allison. I'm Alex, he's Alex.
Speaker 1:Good job.
Speaker 2:And this is Stanley.
Speaker 1:Stanley's here. I don't know if you can see him. He wants his frog.
Speaker 2:Here you go.
Speaker 1:Um what's up.
Speaker 2:I'm feeling burnt out.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I'm really it's Tuesday and and your whole week is going to be very tiring.
Speaker 2:Well, my work week started Sunday, so this feels like a Wednesday to me and very tiring. Well, my work week started Sunday, so this feels like a Wednesday to me, and I had a shoot in Hollywood Sunday morning. I was out until 4am Saturday night and my goodness gracious. And I am, it's like, exhausted, but not for like the. It's not because, like, the efforts that I'm putting in are working towards something like fun, exciting things. So the tired is not like depression, tired it's like.
Speaker 1:I'm just truly like yeah, my God, you were physically tired.
Speaker 2:Go, go, go. But I have decided I'm going to quit one of my jobs. Okay, I'm going to let him know next week, but I think that will help a lot.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:I'm going to finish out the month. So this month is going to really test me because, guys, my mygan is coming into town tonight really late, and then she's here, for a week she leaves. I have a week where I'm going to be shooting so many videos, yeah, and then my mom is here oh yeah and then my mom leaves, and then allison and I leave on the same airplane on the same airplane have we ever traveled together.
Speaker 2:We haven't I don't think so it's gonna be a test of our friendship. Yeah, it really is now I feel like we're the exact same travelers we are, um, yeah, so it's just gonna be a really busy month, but it's okay, I think because of my new like the nutrition plan I'm on and the workout routine, like my energy levels are good for what it is but.
Speaker 2:I have got to figure out the sleep because, like yeah when I get home from Buzzfeed it's roughly five, 6 PM and even on like when I've been going to the gym, I've been going early Like I've been going there before Buzzfeed. So that cause I'm like there's no way you're going to get me at the gym afterward. Yeah, but today I did Um, and then I get home, I like take care of Stanley and then I immediately have to start my next job, and I'm doing that till like midnight or one in the morning.
Speaker 1:What time are you getting up?
Speaker 2:between six, 30 and seven, 30?.
Speaker 1:So you're getting like five hours of sleep since Sunday.
Speaker 2:So Saturday night I got four hours. Sunday night I got four. Did I say Sunday twice? Saturday night for Sunday night, for Monday night I?
Speaker 1:got four hours.
Speaker 2:Sunday night I got four. Did I say Sunday twice? Saturday night four. Sunday night four. Monday night five, last night four.
Speaker 1:But when you let go of one of the jobs that's the night job, so that will be gone help you and then you can go to bed earlier and get up early and, I think, working out probably early. I used to be a nighttime workout so person like I would always go to like the six o'clock class and when I first moved here that was like my thing yeah yeah, and now I can't fathom that.
Speaker 1:That's yeah, like I, I think. Maybe like last year, the year before, I think, last year all of a sudden I was like I can't do that anymore. And now, if I don't work out by noon, I'm yeah, there's. What am I gonna do so?
Speaker 2:I get it.
Speaker 1:Sometimes I've done a four o'clock if that's the last option and if I go to a dance class like it's usually. And if I go to a dance class like it's usually, yeah.
Speaker 2:Like, if I go to a boxing class that's different, but you can't get me to a gym to do a workout on my own.
Speaker 1:Oh no, in the evening I can't even do that. All I'm doing is thinking about all of my like yeah, I need to take care of my dog, I need to eat dinner and I have to go to a class, because if I just go to the gym unless I'm with a friend that we're like let's go and let's do it together, then I'll be motivated. But if it's just by myself, I'm not doing it.
Speaker 2:That's why I can't. I can't have that kind of gym membership, yeah, and normally like and I'm trying to pack it in cause I'm not going to like Megan, I don't have a stacked plan, but we all are all going to disney on thursday, I took that day off from every job? Okay, because like trying to be remote and there is just a nightmare.
Speaker 1:I'm not doing it yeah, josh was like, you guys are going, you're going again I was like look the thing is is there should have been more time in between, because we were gonna alex and I were gonna go for our birthdays way earlier, and so it it is like very close in time, but then we can't go again for three months, so it's like exactly, but.
Speaker 2:But it is like very close in time, but then we can't go again for three months.
Speaker 1:So it's like but but it is like. No one here has real jobs, correct, except for some people do.
Speaker 2:No one, but some people.
Speaker 1:But it's like it is silly that we can just go to Disneyland.
Speaker 2:It is.
Speaker 1:No, I recognize that During the week, like it is silly, but then it's also like we're still we're working sometimes on Saturday and Sunday. Correct, like yeah exactly this past weekend, for instance. So time is a contract.
Speaker 2:How are you doing?
Speaker 1:I'm good. What has happened? Um I, this is just random. I guess Not random, but I had the worst cramps of my life yesterday.
Speaker 2:Oh God.
Speaker 1:Ovulation cramps Crazy. I never used to get those when I was younger and as I've gotten older, there is one day obviously the day that I'm ovulating that I just First of all. It's actually kind of nice to know, true, because then I know what day I'm ovulating. But I was debilitating cramps last night and I could not pay attention to anything. I tried to watch.
Speaker 2:Handmaid's Tale.
Speaker 1:I tried to watch the Titanic documentary and I couldn't focus. And so then I just put on regular Titanic because I was like I can go in and out of focus here on this one. I love that. So that's that. I also watched a goofy movie. I didn't watch the documentary, okay but. I hadn't watched it literally since high school, and so since we holds doesn't it talked about it yeah it was good.
Speaker 1:It's so cute and what else did I watch? I watched a bunch of things because I had all day on Saturday to do nothing, because Josh was busy literally from sunset to sundown and I was just sunrise, she means yes, and I had gotten all my things done, and so I just was home the whole day and all I was doing was watching do you want to know what I did on saturday?
Speaker 2:yes I went to the gym, I unpacked my house a lot more and I went to a club. Guess what hour I went to the club?
Speaker 1:like 1 am or something. Didn't you tell me this?
Speaker 2:11.
Speaker 1:Yes, I text you because I was like well, we, we met up at the mall because we needed to we both needed to vent yeah.
Speaker 2:Oh, my God.
Speaker 1:Yeah, so I had you worked out or something and had your car detailed, I had gone to the gym and then we were like you want, you want to meet up at the mall, and we just sat in the mall and talked about our problems we did, and waiting for my car to get finished, that's right, oh my god, wow, I can't that day.
Speaker 2:What a blur but that is crazy that you did that and like, when I go out on friday, when we go out on friday night, not you because you're busy, but you can meet up, um, because we'll definitely be out shutting down the abbey.
Speaker 1:I going to say no.
Speaker 2:I like want music that isn't house music.
Speaker 1:I can't tell you how many times I've said this, nor will I continue. Wait what. I'm going to keep saying it I hate house music and I want to go to a club.
Speaker 2:No, you need to clarify. We've talked about it.
Speaker 1:It's fine at a day pool party for a little bit during the day and if it's mixed with like music that I know yeah I, I'm not the girl who just likes the in the background. Yes, absolutely not get me out of there. If it is like house that's mixed with britney spears song and I can like sing along to it. I have.
Speaker 1:I found this house version of ruby mcintyre's fancy that I made you listen to which was actually pretty good that I heard when we were in puerto vallarta and I have put on my liked song you don't know why you like that, though, because there's still structure to it yeah, it's the song. It's just like a house version of it and I'm fine with that. If it's a song that I know, it's still not like my vibe, because I want to dance and get down and you know I want a song to come on that makes everyone go like that's what I fucking love so I'm hoping, and preferably from the years of 1998 to 2006.
Speaker 1:yeah, yeah, for sure, that's like the, the ideal type of music I want to listen to. But that is pretty wild that you went out at 11 pm. I actually did that on Saturday, but it wasn't like that and I was home by midnight. Oh, yeah.
Speaker 1:I went to go pick up Josh from the bar he was at because he went to a wedding thing oh, that right, yeah, yeah and I went hung out and I played like a round of pool with them, but then we were gone by midnight and it wasn't like a club club, it was just like a bar.
Speaker 2:So and I was out till four yeah, absolutely not.
Speaker 1:even if I am going like out with the intention of going out, I am never staying out till four. First of all, our bars don't stay open that late. So, oh, you went to get food right? Oh, that was another night. Yeah, alex is doing the most.
Speaker 2:I am doing the most.
Speaker 1:Um, I don't really know what happened on Sunday. Everything I am doing the most. I don't really know what happened on Sunday, everything's kind of just been fine Same.
Speaker 2:So then should we go to our sports corner? We should Because guys, guess who stepped in to play on Lucille's balls last week.
Speaker 1:Allison did. And Allison didn't really do much, but it was fun to be back with the team.
Speaker 2:Allison stepped in and it was so well, technically had enough players.
Speaker 1:But someone dropped out someone too.
Speaker 2:Well, I have a team of 18, okay, and I lost four of them, and I wanted to have an alternate so that someone could sit out, because I do have some players on the team that like to take breaks yeah and that's fine. So I was like, can I have allison in?
Speaker 1:there was so much drama at this game, you guys first of all, you also had to get me you, just they had to screen me, right yes, the way that I had to like fight to get them to approve and what did they ask? You slash, what did you say?
Speaker 2:they asked me to like. Well, I submitted the same way that I asked for subs, like three weeks prior when I had like, no one show up.
Speaker 1:Which is how.
Speaker 2:You email them the person's name, if they're a current registered player or not and their skill level. So I was like Allison. She played on my team last season. She has played dodgeball, she's completed three seasons of dodgeball and she's comparable.
Speaker 1:She's medium.
Speaker 2:I said she's comparable skill level to my current team like where we stand, to which they replied no, what is her skill level individually?
Speaker 1:and I was like I don't know three seasons of dodgeballs like not that not amazing, but not bad right why isn't she on your team this year? Because Because I don't have time. No, no.
Speaker 2:These are what they asked. I was like she wasn't available because she had other things going on on Wednesday, but she did just play on the WeHo League on Brendan's team.
Speaker 1:Shouldn't have said that, no, because I was the worst person on that team.
Speaker 2:Also, they just like.
Speaker 1:Oh, they don't like you, brendan, correct?
Speaker 2:Something's going on there and then. So he replied. The one replied and said sure, and then the one that I'm friendlier with was, like, make sure she signs the form no.
Speaker 1:He's not a part of it, no, okay.
Speaker 2:It was crazy, right guys. So I was crazy, right guys. So I was like, oh geez, like are they going to?
Speaker 1:like it's not that real.
Speaker 2:They're going to like get her height and have her throw and like what are they? Whatever? It was crazy Also. I offered to pay and no one came for me and I.
Speaker 1:it didn't prompt me to pay, I would have.
Speaker 2:Yeah, so Alison stepped in. We did lose two to six. They were a really good team, they're really good and I, as a captain, had to step in and find out what was going on and it was just goofy guys, we're not going to get into it, but basically, like the best player in the entire league was allowed to be on a rec team.
Speaker 1:Yeah, he also played on in the other league that I played at on a really good team, so yeah.
Speaker 2:And, as a human, we love this guy. He's a great ref, he's really nice, but it was like, like, what is he doing on this team again? He's also played on team usa. Yes, okay, and to give you guys, some context.
Speaker 1:He was responsible for like 75 of our outs. We had a you guys, I know that this might not mean anything to anyone, but there was a game where it was down to they had two people left him and another guy and we had 12 yeah, we had almost and they got us all out. I think I was like also like one of the first people out on that one, so I couldn't even do anything, yeah so it was a.
Speaker 2:It was rough in the sense that, like we, didn't. I didn't understand. It was fair because, like also, he had played a game in the hour prior, which is technically illegal, but then I guess there was a loophole that he was allowed to go through. So it. It was just like I ended the conversation being like so it really just sounds like you guys make up whatever rules you want.
Speaker 1:Did they reply to that?
Speaker 2:I was on the phone with him when I said that.
Speaker 1:Oh, okay.
Speaker 2:And he was like no, it's not like that, it's just like it does kind of feel like that I was like yeah, one of the rules is like we very explicitly were told last season that we're allowed to hold balls in if we're out. We're allowed to hold them for our teammates that are still in and roll them out to them when they need them.
Speaker 1:Yeah, and no one said anything. No one said anything.
Speaker 2:In fact, we were told to do it.
Speaker 1:Yeah, our team captain was like this is something that you do, yeah, and we were like okay.
Speaker 2:And then we just keep getting yelled at for doing that. So I was like clarify this rule? And he was like that's a rule that's allowed in the WeHo League, not ours, and sometimes people get confused and it's like okay. So why is?
Speaker 1:there not like a universal dodgeball thing? If there's like a nationally sanctioned team, then why aren't we just following the rules of that?
Speaker 2:Exactly.
Speaker 1:So that everyone's doing the same thing.
Speaker 2:But it was fun to have you play with us again.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I enjoy.
Speaker 2:My observation is you and Freddie get hit the exact same way. The difference is Freddie throws his body like onto the ground.
Speaker 1:You don't do that, but you both do a jump spin. Yeah. When you know the ball is coming for you, you always just you're like ah cause I'm mad, Cause I'm like why didn't you try to catch it or why didn't you like react in any way? And a lot of the times it's just cause it's coming from the opposite direction that.
Speaker 2:I'm like looking or whatever I would love to get Freddie on like tape one day, just to like you guys don't understand, Like we all get hit.
Speaker 1:but no one gets hit he throws his body.
Speaker 2:He takes the hit Like it's a fucking bullet yeah. Glasses flying Like it is crazy.
Speaker 1:It's funny, his poor hips, you literally and his glasses always come flying off.
Speaker 2:So that was really fun to have you play. Yeah, I enjoyed it, and we have one more game in the season tomorrow, we find out where we're at in playoffs.
Speaker 1:Hopefully I can come. Well, I can't Tomorrow I cannot, I have a.
Speaker 2:Megan's coming to watch.
Speaker 1:Oh, that'll be fun. No for the playoffs, but it depends, because we're still playing Cornhole.
Speaker 2:Well, the playoffs are pushed to a week. Oh fun, Because instead of having it be next week and the following week, next week is a fun glow in the dark.
Speaker 1:Oh yeah.
Speaker 2:So 12 people on my me and 11 others on the team are going to do that? Yeah, and then that has nothing to do with anything. There's no points or anything, it's just random and fun and we just got the rules for that. It's like absolutely no black. It's like whoa, oh yeah, because it's low in the dark. Yeah, so that and then so that's pushed two weeks, so maybe you can come.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I'll see what the schedule is. I mean, I truly don't know when cornhole ends like I really actually have no idea when it ends, just never ends.
Speaker 2:So there's that and then, speaking of sports, the met gala.
Speaker 1:Sorry, did you have something else. No.
Speaker 2:So if we're going to talk Met Gala, I was looking through some of the photos today and I'm just like normally, I can figure out what the theme is, can't figure it out.
Speaker 1:Oh well, we already talked about the theme when they announced the theme, but I have it here. Yeah.
Speaker 2:To remind you. Oh, it just, it just hit me yes.
Speaker 1:And then so you guys, while we're talking about this, we're just going to all look at the same article, which is the Vogue article, and we will have the HTML, if you will. The link, the link. We'll have it in all the descriptions so that you can click on it and you can follow along with us if you would like. So now is your chance to go find that link. While I tell you the well, I'll remind everyone of the theme.
Speaker 2:Yes, wow, that was such a big dream, so the theme was super fine Tailoring black style is the title.
Speaker 1:Then the description is the theme is inspired by the Costume Institute Spring 2025 exhibition, which explores the history and cultural significance of the black dandyism and its impact on black diasporic identity through fashion. Diasporic Diasporic? I'm not sure about the pronunciation of that. The exhibition is also inspired by Monica L Miller's book Slaves to Fashion Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity. Sorry, I don't know how to say that word, so I need to go back to school, I guess.
Speaker 2:Cheerio.
Speaker 1:So we have a huge emphasis on tailoring with this because like that is a big, oh, I have the. I also had a definition of dandyism because people were asking that Dandyism Dandelions Does that sound like goofy.
Speaker 2:Kind of Kind that sound like goofy Kind of kind of Maxi.
Speaker 1:So dandyism is a style and cultural phenomenon where individuals, particularly men, express themselves through meticulous and often exaggerated attention attention to personal appearance and style. It's about using clothing, mannerisms and other details to make a statement about identity and individuality, often in a way that challenges societal norms or expectations. So, honestly, this is one of the um met gala themes. That is actually very straightforward and very yeah, I feel like easy to follow which is why my overall thought is like I didn't hate most of it like there was looks that I didn't love do you like jenna's, we'll get to it for the most part I thought like 98 of people like were fine.
Speaker 1:They could have been. Some of them were boring, but they were. It was pretty easy to be on the theme yeah with this, so let's go to the article. The one of the big things to come out of the night is that Rihanna. Rihanna is pregnant. Isn't that crazy that her name's Rihanna but we all just say Rihanna and we all refuse to change it, even though she's been like my name is Rihanna and we're just like no, it's Rihanna. Um, she announced that she was pregnant by just showing up and having a bump.
Speaker 2:I love that.
Speaker 1:I like her outfit. I like it's not. Honestly, it's not my favorite to be TBH. I like the shoes.
Speaker 2:I can't see them.
Speaker 1:You can't.
Speaker 2:Well, didn't scroll enough. The shoes are dope.
Speaker 1:Yeah, the shoes are cool. I think it's a cool way to show off her bump.
Speaker 2:Well, the skirt is like a take on a jacket, which is kind of cool, and then the arms are like the back.
Speaker 1:Yeah, which Kylie Jenner also kind of did, that I think.
Speaker 2:Marc Jacobs.
Speaker 1:It's cute, but it's like it's good but it's not my personal favorite. Yeah, there's a bunch of you guys, there's a bunch of people, so I feel feel like 306, we'll just kind of scroll till we get tired of it and also we'll only really talk about the people we want to talk about. Yeah, so there you go. Fierce coleman um has an outfit change, which I don't know why they didn't just put his next look right after this, but I the cape is cool, but I like his other.
Speaker 1:Look, we can get to that yeah when we get to it, we have lewis hamilton. Do you know who he is?
Speaker 2:boyfriend of colman domingo. He's straight and he is.
Speaker 1:He's a race car driver great very famous race car driver okay, pharrell is looking for. Well, actually styled a bunch of people which I didn't know. He I think he does some sort of creative directing with louis vuitton okay, possibly, and he styled. Can I remember who he styled? I wish that it said it in this article the carpet is so good, oh, with the I don't know, I like the carpet yeah, I do think with some people it it makes them blend in a little bit oh, okay like when we get to someone.
Speaker 1:I'll point that out. But for all looks good, I will say that a lot of. Because this is such an emphasis on menswear. I was highly aware of the wrinkles in the men's pants, for because it took them an hour to get like 10 blocks in New York from the hotel that most of them stay at and get ready in I forget which, what it's called, but it's like 10 blocks away, which should take a couple minutes. It took them like over an hour to get in their cars from the hotel there. So they're sitting for a very long time. So a lot of the men's pants are wrinkled by the time they get there from where they're sitting. So I my eye goes to that, yeah, but I like the. I like the silhouette of the pants. I just don't like that they're wrinkled from sitting. But that's not his fault who's are you talking about?
Speaker 1:for real oh, okay okay, so next we have asap rocky, it's fine. It's fine. I did see someone point out like his cane is cool because it's like an umbrella slash a cane, but it is like the end of it is a gun and like he just got out of that um trial, so like that it was kind of crazy.
Speaker 2:Is ASAP Rocky Rihanna's.
Speaker 1:Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2:Emma Chamberlain.
Speaker 1:I don't love.
Speaker 2:I don't either.
Speaker 1:And she usually does the Met? Gala. Well, it's a risk, it's very low, very low. But I'm not, I'm not living for it. Yeah, lala Anthony, do you know her?
Speaker 2:No, do you yes?
Speaker 1:She's just, she's famous. She's also married to Carmelo Anthony, or are they still married? Oh, I don't know, but I think it's cool. Look. Half dress, half pants, suit thing. Oh my gosh, tiana Taylor, she looks so cool, insane oh, you hate it oh I know, I love it oh yeah, I think it's so good. No, it's it is so cool what striking facial features she has.
Speaker 2:Yeah, she's just so good, she's so cool.
Speaker 1:I love the um like what do you call this jewelry on the waistcoat?
Speaker 2:oh, I don't know is it a belt.
Speaker 1:It's on a belt right, I don't know. I like all the the jewels and the chains and everything. Yeah it's. This whole silhouette is really cool, yeah I feel like she's like top yeah of the best dress, yeah, there you go yeah, it's a cool silhouette, it is cute.
Speaker 2:I like the red pop shoes.
Speaker 1:I think I don't like the necklace but the silhouette of the dress is cool, it is Okay, well, zendaya. Zendaya looks incredible and, I have to say, someone else wore this same suit and they do not look as good as her and that's because, again, emphasis on tailoring this is tailored to perfection to her body and the way that the the pants flare like it is she's hiding her face so delicately with the hat? She's the coolest person ever for one and two it's giving wedding.
Speaker 1:Well, she's engaged, so yeah, work. But like, yeah, she's the coolest and it's she is the coolest, it's just tailored so perfectly. The coolest and it's she is the coolest, it's just tailored so perfectly. I think it's boring, like it's a suit so cool but bored. I don't like any of the kardashian jitters to be really honest kendall's is boring. Oh, I wish they were all in a line, but bored um this one is ao.
Speaker 2:She's from yes chef, yeah, what's it what's that show called?
Speaker 1:uh, the bear, the bear, yeah, I think she looks good. She does look good. The beats are cool. I feel like the men um shined more not more than the women, but more than they normally do because the emphasis was so much on menswear that they actually took risks. I feel like some met galas. They're just like I'm just wearing a tux, yeah, and that's it. But because it was such a menswear forward thing, I feel like a lot more guys took risks and this like blue. Who's this guy? Raul? I don't know him, but it's a cool suit anna went to her classic it.
Speaker 1:She's not really on theme, right? I guess she has a jacket, yeah, but like okay, uh, tyla tyla in pandora jewelry work. She said affordable. It's fine like her outfit's fine, to me it's also. It's not anything like crazy.
Speaker 2:Oh, I scrolled down to kylie.
Speaker 1:I had to know yeah, I just like don't care are they all that same color? Because that's the same color that I think that, like it again, it's like kind of boring to me. I don't know. Again, like, but I'm not a fashion person. Maybe I'm wrong you know?
Speaker 2:oh, there's kim's right after her yeah, I just don't care.
Speaker 1:I think all of them are like whatever, yeah, and is that alligator like, is that cancelable? Probably not why didn't they say who rehearses by? Okay, this is actually a different angle than I saw her the first time the waist up. I like it better than the first picture I saw. I think was inside the gala or maybe at a party, and the way she was standing. I really couldn't tell what the outfit was, and so I like it better than at first glance. I do like yeah, I agree, waist up.
Speaker 1:I this doesn't seem like something chapel would want to go to. But oh, there she is. Yeah, I think it's a cool. It's like it's a cool suit.
Speaker 2:Is the girl behind her the one that wore the same?
Speaker 1:Yes.
Speaker 2:I see it yeah.
Speaker 1:Yeah, you're right, but yeah, I think chapel looks cool.
Speaker 2:She has a cool.
Speaker 1:Oh yeah, bud, get your public appearances while you can, okay. So, sabrina, yeah, sabrina carpenter, I here's. I think that she looks great, it's tailored perfectly, but I also like but I also don't think like. I wish that it was not just a bodysuit, okay, but I think this is actually one that pharrell um dress.
Speaker 2:Yeah, wasn't she saying like he was like you're short, so no pants?
Speaker 1:yes, but what I, what I feel in all of my fashion knowledge? What if she would have done a sheer skirt? Okay like a sheer long, full-length skirt that is the same color so you can see the bodysuit through it, but it adds like a silhouette to the bottom part of her body. That is like more interesting, because I feel like we just look at her crotch that could be cute so I don't know, that was my.
Speaker 1:If I was like, if I could change anything, that's what. I would just add that. But I think the collar is really cool with the jewelry up there and she looks beautiful.
Speaker 2:She does look beautiful.
Speaker 1:Jenna, are these rulers?
Speaker 2:Yes.
Speaker 1:I don't get it Tailored. Yeah, Is it just because like it was made from I don't know? Oh, tailoring because you have to measure that's what I think, and it's.
Speaker 2:It is perfectly tailored to her it is.
Speaker 1:I don't know, I don't think it. I mean, do you like it?
Speaker 2:I'm like it's interesting but I don't.
Speaker 1:Yeah, it's not my favorite I guess with that explanation it's like okay, that's more interesting than other people's, so cool, I did have a list. I know that we have.
Speaker 2:I'm going to jump to Nicki Minaj.
Speaker 1:Okay, and Cardi I want to talk about oh yeah, nicki's.
Speaker 2:Scroll down a little bit, guys, and you'll get to Nicki.
Speaker 1:What number is she?
Speaker 2:because they can probably oh she is 31 nikki is 31, not my favorite, but she looks fierce it's not my favorite either.
Speaker 1:I think, um, the chest up is cool, like I like the layers of the bra and the collar and everything, but it's not my favorite either.
Speaker 2:Yeah to me it's not really tailored yeah I don't like it, but she's pretty oh, going to 34, because that's my girl dochi so sick so fucking good, it's so good oh my god, and like having the afro so good ascot cool the shoes and like it's so good.
Speaker 1:The textures are cool, like the belt, everything is so cool. I wonder if this is one that pharrell did too, because it's louis, but I don't know if he did everyone that was in louis vuitton or not.
Speaker 2:Cardi oh she looks incredible, amazing.
Speaker 1:I love it.
Speaker 2:Yeah, it's so this is what I mean, though.
Speaker 1:Um, she kind of blends in to the yeah, yeah, she totally does yeah but so good she's on my top also kiki's cute yeah, I think it kind of swallows her a little bit, but oh my god, lauren hill walked okay oh yeah, pretty. I like the yellow and I like the draping of the head thing. She's number 38. Everyone and gg hadid. What is this? How in the world is this the theme? Am I missing something?
Speaker 1:yeah, gg did not I don't know how it's on theme do you think tom ford is in tom ford? Wouldn't that be crazy? If he wasn't, I assume anna.
Speaker 2:So what? How do you say her name?
Speaker 1:I don't know her, so why? I think she's from show the show shogun well, she's wearing.
Speaker 2:She's wearing the same day outfit.
Speaker 1:And this is a testament to hers is not tailored perfectly to her body. Therefore, it doesn't look as good Like she still looks good, but like it could look better that they're wearing the same thing. I mean, I don't think that they want it to happen, because now people are being like Zendaya showed you up, which, if Zendaya wasn't wearing that, people would probably be like oh she, this is a cool look.
Speaker 2:Halle Berry is nearly showing cooch.
Speaker 1:Wait, I have to get to it. Number 45. Yes, oh, this is a different angle that I saw. It's kind of wild.
Speaker 2:There is a strip of fabric down the middle and otherwise you'd see everything.
Speaker 1:Yeah it's. It's not my favorite either, Not that it's because it's almost showing her cooch, it's just like not my favorite dress.
Speaker 2:I'm skimming to see if there's any call outs. Doja number 50. Okay.
Speaker 1:I remember I need to go back and look at Doja. It's interesting, do you like it? I heard people be like I loved it and I was like, like maybe this is one of them that like I'm just not, you do not get. I just like am not that into the fashion world, that I just don't get it. I wanted to say who's the guy that everyone was talking about, alton mason. We need to search him, okay. Control F.
Speaker 2:Sydney Sweeney looks so good. Number 60, you guys, she's wearing Miu Miu and looks so good.
Speaker 1:Wait, I don't know if I liked it, okay.
Speaker 2:Did you find just a photo of him?
Speaker 1:I'm looking because I don't know why.
Speaker 2:Oh, found him Whoa.
Speaker 1:Whoa, isn't it incredible.
Speaker 2:Tell them what number it is Number 85, you guys, whoa? Isn't it incredible? Tell them what number?
Speaker 1:it is number 85, you guys doesn't? It's so cool though he looks so good so bad?
Speaker 2:what is it in boss? Who's boss? Like hugo boss, I feel like it would say the pants no, they're, they're not.
Speaker 1:They're the same material if you look close, they're, because I did that too, I was like, is this a one one.
Speaker 2:Yeah, whatever thing, and it's not, but it is the same oh my god, I would love, I would wear the shit out of that. Who is alton mason?
Speaker 1:he's uh, I looked him up and he's a model okay, rightfully so I have to redo this website because I am you're gonna rebuild the website.
Speaker 2:I'm lost?
Speaker 1:no, I just had to reopen it because I couldn't.
Speaker 2:Hey, natasha Lyonne. That's crazy because I just saw her this weekend. She's there at the.
Speaker 1:Met Gala. Oh yeah, what do you think about Walton Goggins Number? Great question. I wish that it would let me search people's names.
Speaker 2:There's a man carrying a piano on his back. Oh, it's Andre 3000.
Speaker 1:And he has a trash bag as a purse.
Speaker 2:Quinta looks cute.
Speaker 1:He's um. Walton Goggins is wearing a kilt.
Speaker 2:Did um Lisa go.
Speaker 1:Lisa. Oh Lisa, there's some controversy with Lisa. Wait really, lisa.
Speaker 2:Jenny and Rose controversy with lisa. Wait, really, lisa, jenny and rose were there.
Speaker 1:Oh, they all three were. I just saw rose. Um, I'm gonna tell you about lisa's thing drama. So people that maybe we're not too yet or we've passed over some of my standouts I just made a list oh yeah, tell me um other than the ones we've said.
Speaker 1:Um coleman domingo, if you get to his like actual look. Uh, loved that pusha t had a really cool like maroon suit that it had a bunch of jewels at the top, that kind of disperse as it goes down. I really liked that cute. Um. I liked walton goggins. Um kilt, okay he. I saw people not liking him, not liking it, but I thought it was cool okay.
Speaker 1:Uh, carrie washington and altamason, like we said okay oh, joey king, let me tell you what lisa's controversy is, but I have to search it, okay. So, whoever um designed this, I apparently there was a bunch of yeah, there's a bunch of faces that are embroidered into her panties.
Speaker 1:It's yes, I did see this right here, and rosa parks is, uh, one of the notable faces, but it's like right on her vagina and people were like that's kind of crazy. But it's not. I don't think it's canceling, it's just like, hey, that's kind of crazy, but it's like someone the designer did that and they put it on her body. Like for the most part these people that are going here like they're getting a designer and the designer is dressing them like it's art and they don't really have much of a say, other than maybe on fit or like you know, I want it to be tighter, I want it to be whatever, but the the piece itself is like pretty much just the designer is doing it and whatever.
Speaker 1:So I found a list um online of what people thought were the best and worst, just like across the internet. Um. So the top collectively, uh, were zendaya, rihanna, diana ross, colman domingo, dochi lewis, hamilton, tiana taylor, gg hadid no I disagree bad bunny and jenny from blackpink. I agree with everyone else. I know we didn't get to all those people, but if you guys have the um website up, just scroll through and see um, we would be here for hours if we really went through everyone.
Speaker 1:Uh, and then across the internet, the worst dressed or the worst looks were Kim Kardashian, haley Bieber and Hathaway, which apparently in her one of her um interviews she was like openly, like yeah, I'm not really on theme, like just here I think she said one thing about it was a nod to someone, but for the most part she was like I'm just, you know, I'm just here to support heidi klum maya hawk, which maya was on my list of ones that I didn't love.
Speaker 2:Lorde didn't love. I liked Megs. Meg the Stallion yeah, it was cute.
Speaker 1:Pamela Anderson, shakira, jenna Ortega, amelia Gray Hamlin I don't know if I know who that is. Gustav Witzel I don't know him. Walton Goggins, which I don't know if I agree with, and Anna Wintour Witzel I don't know him. Walton Goggins, which I don't know that I agree with, and Anna Wintour, the host of the whole thing, the hostess of the night. She got put on the worst list.
Speaker 1:God damn, god damn what do you think she's going to say about that? She doesn't care. I don't think she's going to care, she does not care. So there you go. That's the Met Gala recap to the Met Gala recap Love it. Love it.
Speaker 2:At least there was no crazy. Well, you know, you guys remember what happened last year, right, thankfully nothing like that happened this year, I don't remember. Hayley Bailey canceled. Let the Meat Cake the genocide. Everything was happening.
Speaker 1:Right, yeah, I will say again enjoyed that this theme was attainable for most. Like some of the themes, like the camp and all that like that leaves a little too much to interpretation and then we get insane. We get insane things on the carpet, um, so this one, I thought most, mostly everyone looked great and I thought it was a nice nod to like well-made clothing yes and I wanted to wear. I. I want to wear a really tailored suit outfit. I think that'd be cool that'd be cute.
Speaker 2:You can wear one at my wedding very expensive to get things tailored it is and especially like that.
Speaker 1:And you guys want to know something. Don't ever feel bad about, like badly about yourself. When you put on a piece of clothing and you're like how do I look like this? And all these famous people, like they're so beautiful, like I'll never look like that, I feel like 75 of it is the fact that their clothes are specifically made for their bodies. And if you were to take that same outfit that you have on and you take it to get fitted to you and tailored and taken in and and things added and whatever you, that outfit will rise Like you'll feel so differently. So just know that you're not ugly, you just need your outfit tailored.
Speaker 2:That's the takeaway. Literally yeah, outfit tailored.
Speaker 1:that's the takeaway literally yeah so that's that to tomorrow. Wait, we are filming this, you guys, we're filming this on the six. And guess what? Tomorrow the conclave starts yes, it does.
Speaker 2:Isn't that so exciting? Yes, there's so many gonna be, there's so many potentials.
Speaker 1:I know I do also have a list. I know that we last time talked about it we didn't really have, we didn't know what was going on, but I now have a list of the front runners so that we can we can know who we're thinking of.
Speaker 2:Lay it on me.
Speaker 1:So the leading contenders? We have Cardinal Pietro Parolin, from Italy I'm not going to say these right guys, so sorry. He is the Vatican secretary of state, and this thing that I looked up gave me strengths and challenges, so I'll give you a few. He has a lot of diplomatic experience, but he's been criticized for not handling matters of alleged obstruction and abuse investigations. So not loving that.
Speaker 2:No, for sure not.
Speaker 1:Next is Cardinal Luis Antonio Tegel, from the Philippines, and his strengths are he advocates for the poor and represents the growing Asian Catholic population. But he has also faced criticism for inadequate responses to abuse cases which, like they're not helping the whole, like Catholic male priest allegations. With these challenges, with with these challenges Again, um, I'm I'm not Catholic people, and neither are you, so we don't know everything we're speaking about. This is just what the internet is telling me, so don't come for me. Cardinal Pierre Battista Pizzaballa, from Italy His name has pizza in it.
Speaker 2:That's cool, that's cool.
Speaker 1:He is known for humility and interfaith dialogue, so he's like you know what. I'm okay if a Catholic wants to date a Christian. Yeah.
Speaker 2:Interfaith dialogue he gained attention.
Speaker 1:He's just like you can talk about it.
Speaker 2:You guys don't get too serious, but you can talk, we can talk about it. He gained attention. He's just like you can talk about it. You guys don't get too serious, but you can talk about it.
Speaker 1:He gained attention for offering himself in exchange for hostages, which is very noble. Noble, yeah, but he has less experience in the Vatican hierarchy, which, to me, if that's his, if that's a negative on him. Let's push him to the top of the list.
Speaker 2:Let's conclave his ass.
Speaker 1:Cardinal Matteo Zuppi from Italy. Zuppi, he's progressive on social issues, so that's good yeah, and he will face resistance from conservative factions. That's his challenge. So he sounds like we could like him, but their name will change to Pope Francis, yeah. No, they get a pick. Remember, Right yeah they get to. No, they get to pick, remember, right, yeah, got it. Cardinal Peter Erdo from Hungary. He's favored by the conservatives and has strong ties with the Eastern Orthodox Church.
Speaker 2:Okay, what about the one from America? Is he a top runner or not?
Speaker 1:He's not, I'll get to him though and Jean-Marc Aveline, from France he is, also promotes interreligious dialogue, okay, but he's also just like not a known person. So those are like the front runners. I did look up what we think about the American. His name is Robert Francis Prevost, his name is Robert Francis Prevost Prevost, and he he like it says that he has maybe a chance to be considered, but definitely low on the totem pole. So we're not sure, but he is, I believe, trying to see what his like political. So people don't really want an American. What I've seen is they're not really excited about an American pope because, you know, there's concerns about the perceived US dominance in global affairs, so it seems like they're not leaning towards an American.
Speaker 2:But they're going to give him a chance.
Speaker 1:He might have a chance. Yeah, okay, but he also has criticism regarding handling sexual abuse allegations. So not loving, but I looked at what the percentage like likelihood of these people and the top person is Pietro Parolin. Like I said, he only has 20% odds, so it seems like they're gonna be there for a while. They have to get 70%, yeah, so if he is only at 20% estimated odds, it feels like they're gonna be like going back and forth yeah which I'm here for.
Speaker 1:So, starting tomorrow, I think that there's a live feed somewhere to look for the smoke where you can look for the smoke, but I can't imagine it's gonna be anywhere in the first couple days now I need to really watch the movie you really do. Time is ticking time is of the essence even if you start it like while you get in bed, watch 40 minutes of it. You can finish it another night, you know. Yeah, do you not like doing that?
Speaker 1:I just will fall asleep, I think right away there you know, well, we're on conclave, watch everyone we'll keep an eye out okay, so the birthdays for, oh, please say happy birthday to you what's the date?
Speaker 1:may 12th. Oh, I feel like what, before I get into this, I feel like there were other things I wanted to talk about, but maybe I because we needed, we wanted to talk about the Met Gala. I didn't write them down because I was like, oh, this is like we're talking about the Met Gala today and I need to be better at that, because I feel like I had a story to tell, and now was it about Jojo Siwa. No, is there something else that happened with her?
Speaker 2:No, is there something else that happened with her?
Speaker 1:No, I just feel like you always know something. No, I'm sick of her right now, so I'm kind of over it.
Speaker 2:Period.
Speaker 1:Period. Okay, so today's the 12th and our birthdays for today are only boys of the people that we knew. Yeah okay, so I don't know what about today. Oh, one thing I wanted to say is I looked at remember when I did my birth chart with gall. I looked at it again and it was different, like my moon and my sun. So I was like have I been lied to? Like which one is correct?
Speaker 2:What you looked where again.
Speaker 1:On the interwebs.
Speaker 2:Not at gall.
Speaker 1:No, I looked at Gauls, so under Gaul, my whatever is Pisces my sun is. Pisces my moon was in Leo and my rising was Taurus. I don't know what those things mean, but when I looked it up again, it said my moon was in taurus and my rising was aries oh so I'm like which one is right?
Speaker 2:I would because I believe gall I I would believe him too.
Speaker 1:But then in reading this um, it said the moon and taurus. Emotionally you're grounded, steady and crave comfort and stability. You seek security in relationships and tend to have a calm, soothing presence. At first I thought that sounds like me, but actually I don't know that it does, I think it sounds like what I want to be, but then the rising in Aries says outwardly you come across as energetic, bold and assertive. People probably see you as someone confident, independent and not afraid to take initiative. Do you see me as that?
Speaker 2:Yeah, in a lot of ways yeah.
Speaker 1:The sun in Pisces definitely is right, even though, like that, we know that that one's true that you are a. Pisces. You're intuitive, empathetic, creative and deeply sensitive. You also absorb the moods of people and places easily and have a rich inner world.
Speaker 2:I don't know what that last part means, but all the rest of it is so true.
Speaker 1:You're a fish. Right, I am a fish, but then when I looked it up again, so the Leo moon, which is what Gall told me, says emotionally, you crave self-expression, attention and love to shine in your close relationships. You feel best when you're seen, admired and appreciated for who you really are. Loyalty is huge for you. Yes, that is true and then tourists rising.
Speaker 1:Says you appear in italics, appear calm, dependable, sensual and patient. To the outside world, people see you as grounded and steady, even when inside you're feeling that passionate Pisces, leo energy. But I want to know what it means by it. Says you appear calm, but it doesn't say what I actually am, so just the opposite, which is kind of true. I'm really anxious.
Speaker 2:You appear calm, you are anxious.
Speaker 1:So I, but I don't know if I appear calm, I think I appear pretty anxious. No, I present anxious you present.
Speaker 2:You present more anxious to the people you're comfortable around, but I think you're like outward sure, if I'm just at the mall, like what do they know? I hope no one can tell that I'm anxious right now and there's.
Speaker 1:I got a quick personality snapshot and that says warm-hearted. Your vibe is warm-hearted, creative dreamer with a steady, calm exterior. My strengths are loyalty, artistic flair, patience, emotional generosity and challenges. Are wanting a deep admiration from loved ones, while also needing stability at times dealing with stubbornness or fear of change yes, pretty true is. Did you want me to do yours? Do you want me to see if you get the same one?
Speaker 2:I'm happy with what I know.
Speaker 1:Okay, I just was like a check-in. I just was like let's give a little check-in and see if I'm still on, still the same thing, and it appears that I am.
Speaker 2:We have to jump back before you get to birthdays, because the big thing we're forgetting is this past weekend, emily, our friend Emily, had her spring show. Oh my gosh, you're so right, and Allison choreographed one of the numbers and I want to just say Emily, I know you're listening to this 49 numbers, so many 49 numbers. It so many 49 numbers. It's a lot. Part of me was like go for 50.
Speaker 2:Yeah, what's one more, you know Right 49, you guys, there are 49 dance numbers. This was a two and a half hour show. I will say it didn't feel like that long. It flowed pretty well.
Speaker 1:And I didn't have a program so I didn't. I was just going off vibes I had no idea what was going on.
Speaker 2:You didn't scan the QR code.
Speaker 1:I didn't, because I walked in right when it was about to start and then at halftime intermission I scanned it and then it went away from my phone somehow. I like looked at like the first couple and then it went away and I was like you know what, it's fine. So I was just kind of raw-dogging it and just like whatever happens happens. I didn't really know how many there were 49.
Speaker 2:49. But Emily did say she was like well, because they thought it was going to be her last show.
Speaker 1:So they crammed a lot in. But Emily.
Speaker 2:by the way, I don't know if we said it, but Emily was going to be transferred, but the students were retaliated and started a petition and yeah, I think there's some other things involved, but essentially she got to keep her job. Uh, keep stay at her location, and she's very excited. We're all happy for her. So it wasn't her last show yeah the kids did great. It's always fun to see like future star children.
Speaker 1:Everything was great.
Speaker 2:I thought it was a really good show and I had said on instagram like my ninth year attending and emily corrected me it was it's actually my tenth time going. Ten years I've been going to see these shows yeah, my show, or my, my dance my show, my dance was a contemporary piece to Taylor Swift's.
Speaker 1:I can do it with a broken heart yes, it was very good which I did have to use the edited version. Yes, which she says um, I'm a real tough kid I can handle it which does sound funny to me.
Speaker 1:Yeah, but you know kids in school had to be clean, but I thought the kids did a good job. It was really fun. I am a little bit of a perfectionist, em Emily, don't worry, but I am actually used to. I've never choreographed something where I wasn't there during yeah like tech week rehearsals and dress rehearsals, right.
Speaker 1:So I felt a little out of control not being there and just being like I'm gonna show up and just see what happens. Obviously, emily is good at her job and everything was clean and put together well, so like it was great.
Speaker 1:But I was so stressed, being like I haven't seen this in two weeks or a week, and I'm so used to being there through the dress rehearsals so I was like I felt so strange just being like I'm showing up and I'm just going to watch it. Our friend Devin did the opener and his boyfriend did the mix.
Speaker 2:Oh my gosh.
Speaker 1:So good, yeah, if you guys, if you guys ever see someone named adam on tiktok who does is a dj that does really cool mixes. That is our also our friend adam but devin's boyfriend and he does such cool mixes like the coolest but the opening number was really fun, so fun. Had a great time. I can't believe I forgot that, you guys, something I have to actually start making a list every day and at the end of the day I need to just go and write what I did that day.
Speaker 2:Yeah, just so you can reference it.
Speaker 1:My love Sal Vacano from the impractical Jokers. He has done that every day of his life since he was like a child.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:He used to have a physical notebook. And you do this like you, but you just do it in your head, right?
Speaker 2:Yeah, I recap the whole day.
Speaker 1:He has written it down on all these notebooks and recaps the day, and I think I need to do that, just because I have such a bad memory that I actually don't know what I've done the prior week.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:And then I come on here and I'm like I don't know, it was a good week. It was good, it was great.
Speaker 2:It happens like that sometimes.
Speaker 1:Again, I'm so itchy. Okay, so today's birthday is Rami. Malek is 44. There is one woman actually. Okay, so I'll lie, I lied Tony Hawk.
Speaker 2:Oh, this point 57.
Speaker 1:Did you ever try to skateboard? Was he a skateboarder or a biker skateboard?
Speaker 2:skateboard tony hawk pro skater what did you play it? I did on it 64. No and no.
Speaker 1:I never tried to skateboard okay, I feel like you would have like broken something and I rollerbladed and I still can. Great yeah, emilio Estevez.
Speaker 2:Oh, how old 63. Great.
Speaker 1:Emily Van Camp. Do you know her?
Speaker 2:Love Emily Van Camp. I love that show Um revenge, Revenge yeah.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I like she's has one of those faces where it's like I know that she's famous, but I don't think I've actually really watched the things that she's in.
Speaker 2:Oh, Revenge was so good. I didn't really watch Revenge. How old is she?
Speaker 1:She's 39. Okay, yeah, jason Biggs.
Speaker 1:Oh yeah Is 47. And you know what, when I was looking at the entertainment, not a lot of things that were good were released this day. And I wonder if it's because of the met gala and they're like because it's been going for how many years now like 40 something, or the met gala, or maybe not that long, but a while and I feel like because news comes out the next day and it's probably mostly about the met gala, like what people wore, but then also what went down at the parties and stuff like that. So I feel like if you're going to choose a date, you might not choose the day after the met gala true, to release things. So really, the only notable thing I saw was that the real housewives of new jersey, um, premiered in 2009 but everything else was like a b-list movie that I've never heard of, or, yeah, nothing good.
Speaker 2:So I just thought that might be an interesting reason why you know, yeah, but yeah and lastly, I just want to say you guys know from early in the podcast that one of my guilty pleasure shows floribama shore. Oh yeah, we, one of the cast members passed away this last week. Um, probably the universally loved cast member, the one that had no beef with anyone never was.
Speaker 1:Fighting was just like vibing out in season two.
Speaker 2:There was some fighting, but it was just out of like frustration, but everyone loved him. No, no, he was the one cast member that was not alienated by anyone and everyone loved him. Kirk passed away from pancreatitis which is absolutely crazy.
Speaker 1:Necrotizing pancreatitis is what I saw and I was like what does that mean? I think it means something about the pancreatic fluids start like expelling or something like that, Like oozing into your body 33 years old, which is crazy yeah. So yeah, just like go back and watch floor by, I'm sure it's been on on my paramount plus. If you ever go to the live TV section, do you ever do?
Speaker 2:that.
Speaker 1:Yeah, it they play. There's a reality section where there's a couple of channels and they cycle through like Jersey Shore, the original and family reunion, the challenge, survivor, and I always see Floribama. So if you guys are ever itching to watch like odds are, it's going to be on that. There's now a petition.
Speaker 2:I guess they filmed an entire season that never aired. Oh and now there's a petition to like, release it.
Speaker 1:They should also just film a new season.
Speaker 2:I know Amy is like doing a tell all right now on Tik TOK. She's like, since it doesn't seem like it's ever going to come out, I'm going to spill the tea here's part six, like it's been really good, but also they're all very sad and stuff.
Speaker 1:So it's been but it's all over my for you page because I was like diving in to see what was going on. Anyway, rip, kirk, rip. And what a sad thing to end on. Should you say something, not sad?
Speaker 2:We didn't do a list of the week, but that's okay, it's been a it's been a time but we will do a list.
Speaker 1:We'll make sure we have to. I'll put it in my notes. Um, but spread love and joy and we're going to have a lot to talk about next time, because so many things are going to happen this week.
Speaker 2:What oh cause Megan's?
Speaker 1:Disney, there's a lot going on, there's a lot going on, there's a lot going on.
Speaker 2:There's a lot going on, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1:All right, love you guys so much.
Speaker 2:Thanks for listening and watching.
Speaker 1:See you next week.
Speaker 2:And remember.
Speaker 1:Stay classy.
Speaker 2:And keep it on the A-list.
Speaker 1:Keep it on the A-list.
Speaker 2:Yeah, like keep it tops. You know Sorry about it, bye, bye, bye Bye. The A-List.
