Speaker 1:

Um, so get this please. I have gone shopping on exactly four trips to try and find my outfits for Gaga and Backstreet Boys Zero luck.

Speaker 2:

What's your inspiration mood board?

Speaker 1:

So for Gaga I'm trying to go grunge cause mayhem ball. The colors are black and red and I was just like oh, grunge just works for Gaga, like hot topic but like more my style.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

So I bought a shirt that I thought could work. The boyfriend borrowed it for a concert he went to last week and it looked so good on him.

Speaker 2:

So he took it.

Speaker 1:

Well, it's no. He brought it back and I was like, yeah, it looks really good, it looks good in photos, and then, but I was like I don't know, it's a little big, but if I got the one size down it would be too short on my arms. So I'd rather have it be a little bigger on the side rather than have it like be short on the arms. Okay anyway, but I was unclear about the bottoms. I bought A ton of stuff from amazon because I was like, let me just see what I can scrounge up with amazon.

Speaker 2:

Not a single thing worked and like it didn't look right or didn't fit didn't fit.

Speaker 1:

There's a pair of jeans that could. That was. I was like these are promising. They were okay, so I'm a size 31. They were a size 32. So I was like, okay, I'll belt it. Like they're baggy jeans with like a ton of buckles and stuff. I pulled them out of the bag. I was like these look worn. I put them on. They're way too big. Like it said it was a size 32. It was definitely like a size 38, like the way that I could fit a second me in them.

Speaker 1:

Not only that, I put my hands in the pockets, pull out an empty no, an empty um liquid iv packet so someone wore them in return and returned them, so I was like forget this so return all that?

Speaker 2:

you were gonna do that?

Speaker 1:

no, I was like I was looking for a pair of baggy jeans that could work, that I would just hold on to yeah anyway. So I with I had about thrown out, throwing the towel. And then today boyfriend wanted to go shopping for something for backstreet boys, so we went to the galleria.

Speaker 2:

He- made out like a bandit. The glendale galleria he made out like a bandit.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, he found amazing things, that he got some basics at uniclo. He got like a ton of stuff at zara. He got some stuff at where else, somewhere else. Oh, he got jeans at aripod abercrombie aberccrombie is the best store right now. Like.

Speaker 2:

I don't know what to say. They're the best he was looking for a very specific.

Speaker 1:

So his jeans ripped yesterday like up by his hip and I was like, oh, has this always been there? He's like what? So he's looking to replace those?

Speaker 2:

We found an almost exact match today at Abercrombie.

Speaker 1:

I tried on so many cool things as are. I was like something here's going to work.

Speaker 2:

No, it didn't work, cause it's not long enough for your legs. There's a spider on the wall. That was crazy.

Speaker 1:

That was so calm and you could dump spiders on me and I'd be fine. There's a snake in there. I'm dead immediately. Okay, so listen. No, then I, I'm dead immediately In there. Okay, so listen, no. Then I came back today with absolutely nothing and I said you're going to figure this out. So what I neglected to say was that I also there was another. There was a pair of pants that were like I was like these will be my backup pants. Okay, if I can't find pants, for good God.

Speaker 2:

Okay, cause you're in Vegas, you have to wear pants because you can't go out after. If you don't wear pants, right, what? No, isn't there like dress codes everywhere?

Speaker 1:

No In Vegas. Yeah, maybe in some clubs, but typically no.

Speaker 2:

Oh, I thought there was like hardcore dress codes.

Speaker 1:

I don't For Gaga. We're not like planning to go to an after party. That's the way you're saying it. These will be a backup. So I start putting so. Today, boyfriend leaves and I was, like allison's here in an hour. I'm gonna find these fits, because I don't have time. I have tomorrow, then I have to work a full day yeah while then also packing, cleaning, washing stanley, packing stanley like it's there's no time yeah so it's like I've got to figure this out.

Speaker 1:

Now I'm gonna do it. So also, the inspo for the backstreet boys concert is like the. The residency is called millenn 2.0. So it's like a celebration of that album.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Is how I'm interpreting it, and so the group I'm going with were like so that's like silver right, silver white, blue. Yeah. So, like all of the Backstreet Boys family that have been posting, they're all wearing white, they're doing the white, okay. And so initially we were thinking that and then we kind of pivoted to just like in early 2000s inspo. But I have, like I don't know, like I have a lot of this stuff already because of wasting time and like the pieces I held on to.

Speaker 1:

So I do you remember the jumpsuit that I have, that I've never worn, that's sleeveless and it's light jean colored? Yes okay that we had gray come over and and like tailor a bunch of stuff and she made it fit me better and I've never fucking worn it this is your time I put that house and I put that shit on, slapped on, slapped on a bandana, do you?

Speaker 2:

see this? Do you see this?

Speaker 1:

yeah, that's everything these boots from wasting time I do love those boots and I'm gonna wear it shirtless like this your biceps, oh yeah I'm also like gaining so much also jacked, I'm also jacked. With these teeny little gold.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, you look so cool.

Speaker 1:

There it is.

Speaker 2:

Wow, then Throw this photo up for the peeps, okay guys.

Speaker 1:

Then I was like let me just see if this fit works for Gaga. And then this is the Gaga fit.

Speaker 2:

I thought that was a Halloween skeleton. Ew, it's cool.

Speaker 1:

But I'm going to do black combat boots instead. They just haven't come in. They're supposed to be here tomorrow.

Speaker 2:

I was picturing some black cargo jean type situation, so that's exactly what that is.

Speaker 1:

Good job. So in the hour before you got here I did that. Good job With things that are already in my closet.

Speaker 2:

So you can return everything.

Speaker 1:

I did already return everything Nice, so you can return everything. I did already return everything Nice. Again, that's a lie. Those pants are new from Amazon and that's the shirt that I got that Chad wore. Oh yeah yeah, but I think it's perfect.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, looks great Proud of you.

Speaker 1:

Thank you. Should we start the show?

Speaker 2:

Yes, yes, welcome back to the A-List Podcast with Allison and Alex. I'm Allison, she's.

Speaker 1:

Allison we're getting good at that.

Speaker 2:

I never know if it's for real or if it's that. You're always going to be on your toes. Oh sorry, no, not tits.

Speaker 1:

How was your day?

Speaker 2:

Oh my gosh, my day's been actually fine, slept in that was so Irish sounding, my day's been actually fine I wish. There's this um a girl that plays football with Josh. That is Irish and I love talking to her.

Speaker 1:

She's also the sweetest ever and she does she say oh hey, lassie, it's good to see you.

Speaker 2:

She doesn't say Lassie, but she is like, she's like straight up, like from Ireland.

Speaker 1:

That is dope.

Speaker 2:

Not just like fake or like her mom, you know, she's like for real and her Irish accent is so cute.

Speaker 1:

I love it. I love an accent. Do you talk like her when, if you're around her too long, no, okay, well, that's good Cause.

Speaker 2:

I don't really. I can't really do that. When I'm around a British person, I do that Like my friend Dan he, but one time he got mad at me. I couldn't tell if he was actually mad or if he was just joking, but I started talking in a. British accent and he was like, what Like? You can't do that I was like wait a joke, yeah, but um, okay, I have, there's a lot to say. My week has been it's been ups and downs. Okay, I'm gonna start with an up.

Speaker 1:

Great, I got the lububu and I brought her here to show you okay I am so mad, though I did a, an unboxing.

Speaker 2:

I was like filming a vlog where I haven't. I'm just doing like little clips of random things. But then I was like I'm going to do a TikTok unboxing. My audio accidentally connected to my headphones Cause I like had used them and just like uh took them out for something but didn't put them in the case and my phone connected to them so you can't hear any of my audio and my unboxing. So I'm going to have to do like a voiceover or something, which is not going to be as good you should try an ADR.

Speaker 1:

Match your lips. That will take so long oh my God, I want to do it. Okay, that would be so funny. I'll send it to you.

Speaker 2:

Okay, so I got to get her over here.

Speaker 1:

Okay, okay, okay, man Cause I was going to ask, I was going to say you should put the unboxing video like insert it here.

Speaker 2:

But if there's no, no, I haven't done any dubbing or voiceover yet, because I watched it back and I was like what is happening with the audio? And then I realized that's what happened so frustrating.

Speaker 1:

So, yeah, green grape.

Speaker 2:

No, no, it's, it was the big. I'm gonna tell you, I'm gonna have you guess what you think I got. Okay, so it's the big. Into energy um collection did you know that?

Speaker 1:

yeah, yeah and then you don't know what Labu you're getting in the. Whatever the category is, you don't know.

Speaker 2:

Correct. So the collection has? You can get love, happiness, loyalty, serenity, hope or luck, and then there's a secret that I don't know what it looks like. So which do you think I got? Serenity that was one that I wanted. I'll show you them in a second.

Speaker 1:

Well, no, let me guess by what it looks like, if it's not Serenity.

Speaker 2:

Okay, I didn't get Serenity.

Speaker 1:

Oh, great, there you gave it away.

Speaker 2:

This is her.

Speaker 1:

Love.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Cute.

Speaker 2:

This is her Love. Yeah, cute, this is her. Ah, mm-hmm you want to see her yeah.

Speaker 1:

Wow, this is the thing that has the world it was.

Speaker 2:

Sorry.

Speaker 1:

This has the world in a chokehold right now.

Speaker 2:

It was pretty exciting to do. Yeah, I'm not going to lie. The whole blind box of it all is a fun thing.

Speaker 1:

Oh, their feet spin, that's cute.

Speaker 2:

What am I going to get? Opening it, I will say as soon as it's over. It's over. I just like set it down and I was like, okay, yeah that's the rest I also don't have like a big purse to put it on, because all my purses are pretty small.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

So I don't know what to do with her.

Speaker 1:

They're called the monsters.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

That's the brand.

Speaker 2:

Um, yeah, I think so.

Speaker 1:

Cute.

Speaker 2:

So here she is.

Speaker 1:

That's an up.

Speaker 2:

I don't think I'm going to get another one and I'm not going to buy one.

Speaker 1:

What if it's gifted to you?

Speaker 2:

That would be exciting. If anyone has one, okay. But yeah, la Boo Boo happened and that was exciting love that.

Speaker 1:

I got my, I got a lash lift for the first time.

Speaker 2:

How do you feel? I like the way it looks it does look cute, not extensions, just the lift. Never done that before, I wasn't prepared I'm sorry, is this a down?

Speaker 1:

are we still in an up?

Speaker 2:

but this is still okay, I was afraid um, I wasn't prepared for how long it was going to take, like I thought it would be 30 minutes max.

Speaker 1:

Okay, and it was not.

Speaker 2:

Hour and a half. Whoa and um, it's a little scary with the eyes.

Speaker 1:

Sure.

Speaker 2:

Just cause I hadn't done it before and I was like kind of scared of whatever was going around my eyes. Kind of scared of whatever was going around my eyes was going to make me blind, cause that's something that would stress me out. But um, the girl who did it was very nice and I liked the way they look. I am maybe interested in getting um extensions, but very, very minimal.

Speaker 1:

Like just more like filler.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, just like a little little like the the most natural looking of the extensions, not a big like crazy like yeah, yeah wild that kind of thing, but I don't know because it is. It is a lot of upkeep. It was like 100 little over 100 bucks and it only lasts for six to eight weeks and so, so it's like it is like it's another expense on top of like nails and waxing and stuff like that.

Speaker 2:

It's like I don't really know that I'll add it to my Rolodex all the time, but it's nice for um, maybe going on vacation or right now. I wanted to do it in the summer because it's like I'm wearing less makeup yeah and so it's to have them already. Look like good, basically, and just be like oh, I'm just gonna do a little tinted moisturizer fill in my eyebrows, maybe a little like highlight yeah it is nice that it's like already they're up and in place, alert and cute then I left the appointment, got my first ever parking ticket.

Speaker 1:

So sad oh, why would you do?

Speaker 2:

because I didn't know how long it was going to take. I and I couldn't fathom that it would have been more than an hour and a half, okay so what did you pay?

Speaker 1:

for an hour?

Speaker 2:

no, I paid for an hour and a half but because the appointment went that long, like the paying checking out, walking down in that time period, they got me. I was like because I obviously couldn't open my eyes. So in my mind I was thinking this is kind of going a long time, like hopefully I can still get down there. I was like if it's close, there's no way that they're standing there waiting for me. They must have been.

Speaker 1:

I think I was like eight minutes late. Is that like a shopping center?

Speaker 2:

It was in West Hollywood, Um kind of near Barney's Beanery in Salon Republic space.

Speaker 1:

On Sunset.

Speaker 2:

On Santa Monica.

Speaker 1:

Not the one on Sunset.

Speaker 2:

Correct, no, not the one across from the Laugh Factory. I was also there. I've been done a lot this week, oh my God, I was at that Salon Republic. That's usually where when Fernanda was coming, that's where she would rent out. No, this girl is the one. It's like right across from Barney's Beanery on Santa Monica, but yeah, it was like eight minutes and in that time period I got my first. Ever since I've moved to your parking ticket and I have been priding myself on Hollywood, we'll get you.

Speaker 1:

That's where I got my first one.

Speaker 2:

Yeah Well, and I can't believe they only give you three weeks, like you're not going to give me a full month.

Speaker 1:

What was it? 56.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, not even going to give me a full month until I get so I could pay, pay when I get paid for next month. So annoying. So that streak has been broken and a down. That is a down. Um, josh and I went to see his friend perform at the laugh factory.

Speaker 2:

That wasn't up, except for it was late and I was tired. Okay, but that's not fully a down. But this whole week, now we're getting into the real down. Actually it's been like three ish weeks. I have just my true health anxiety and hypochondria has been in full effect and I have been feeling I hesitate to talk about health at all online because it one hater and mean person get wind and it they'll just tell me everything that yeah, I'll just be mean yeah.

Speaker 2:

But I mean, it is what it is. I have just had a weird feeling and my, my like heart just feels like not right. But I also know that I have anxiety. Yes, normally I can like talk myself down from the health anxiety and be like you know, if something, if something was wrong, like it you, you would have already caught it, or I don't know.

Speaker 2:

I can usually talk myself down, but in this case I was like you know what? You are 35 and I don't want to play with fate. So if I have a weird feeling, I would rather just go to the doctor and just get it out of the way, get it out.

Speaker 2:

My blood pressure has always been a topic of conversation, but I have a lot of high anxiety and white coat syndrome and so when I go to the doctor, if it's a little elevated, they're like your, your blood pressure is a little high and I'm, I am, I have a lot of anxiety.

Speaker 2:

I like explain the whole thing and they're like, okay, we'll take it again at the end, and then they would take it again and it would go down and they'd be like okay but since I've been on well buterin over the past year, um, it is a stimulant, so it kind of already raises it a little bit and so I was kind of like that's adding on to it. Everyone, everyone like anxiety plus that, just so everyone knows, and it hasn't like really like been an issue when I've been at the doctor, but since I've just had this like new, like weird tightness or like weirdness in my chest went to the doctor, we were just like it's time to do like an yearly checkup, so like let's do blood work and all that. So I'm waiting for that. But because I have such high anxiety the waiting for the results of my blood test or my like blood work and it do I actually need to be concerned about my blood pressure now because I'm older.

Speaker 2:

But like in thinking about that, then I have more anxiety and I'm like taking my blood pressure at home and it's it's like on the higher end. It's not like, you know, critical or anything. It's not like that high, but it is higher than the normal thing or whatever. And but my anxiety is compounding that and so I had to call and be like I need a beta blocker, because we had talked about it a little bit when we were there and she was like, if you, if that's something like you, it will give you more peace of mind, like you can totally have it. But I was like I think I'll be fine there. And then I called on Friday and I was like I think I'll be fine there, okay.

Speaker 2:

And then I called on Friday and I was like, nope, give it to me. So I um have been taking a beta blocker the past couple of days to just like ease my mind a little bit, but I think so it's a very low dose, so it's not like I'm really feeling much, but it is helping my peace of mind. Because there was one night I was literally laying there like you're going to have a heart attack and die and like that's going to be so sad for Josh to wake up to that, and I made myself so anxious that I almost passed out. And I think it was also because I took my blood pressure, like a couple of times in a row. I had there was some time in between. I know you can't like just like back to back, do it, but I think, because I was so stressed and giving myself such anxiety that I was sitting there being like I'm going to pass out and like you know that feeling in your ears and this it's like static in your head and I was like I'm going down.

Speaker 2:

But I, like what was able to walk into the bed bedroom and was like, hey, I'm just letting you know like I think I'm gonna pass out. And he was so dead asleep that he was like okay, like can I do anything? And then I was like I know, I'm just gonna sit here. And he was just like, okay, I don't know what to do. I didn't end up passing out, but I, when I took my blood pressure again, it was like in the, it was like 89 over something, and I was like, am I still gonna pass out? And I, when I took my blood pressure again, it was like in the, it was like 89 over something, and I was like am I still gonna pass out? And so then I laid there the whole night being like I'm gonna pass out or I'm gonna have a heart attack, and then like what do I do? But I also don't want to preemptively be like, hey, I'm gonna go to the emergency room because I think I'm gonna have a heart attack and then be like you're.

Speaker 1:

Well, they would say it's like a panic attack probably.

Speaker 2:

Yes. So what I do know now is I was having a panic attack, but this whole week I have been just not okay with that and I have a whole nother week to go.

Speaker 1:

I was going to say we're not. We're a week away still.

Speaker 2:

I know I don't go until Friday, so everyone comment something nice.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, it's just like.

Speaker 2:

So having health anxiety is like the actual worst thing that can happen to you, because you're either totally fine, but your mind is telling you that you're not okay. And then if you're, if you listen to that and you're like tell yourself, okay, this is just your anxiety, it's not real and you ignore. Then what if something? And then your mind is like but what if something is really wrong? And I'm telling myself, it's anxiety, but it's actually not anxiety, it's actually the thing that is wrong. And so you're in this constant loop of is it real or is it anxiety?

Speaker 1:

And that is so true it's horrible, yeah.

Speaker 2:

So I probably won't like come back with, like the results of my blood work because like I'm not ready to face that on the internet and I'm sure like everything is going to be fine, other than like as an as you get older, like I'm sure you have to, you know, watch certain things like that. You didn't have to care about when you were 18. But in, in the grand scheme, like I'm sure everything's fine and everything always is fine. Whatever my hyper fixation is at the moment, like it's usually like a yearly or every couple of years thing where like something is a super hyper fixation whatever. And then once I get the results of, or I see the doctor and I am like told everything is fine, then I'm good, yeah, but this is the most recent one, so we're with you.

Speaker 2:

All of that. That was so much, but we're on the up right now. The blocker has, I guess, helped a little bit. Today I was like I'm not taking my blood pressure today, like I can't. I can not taking my blood pressure today, like I can't, I can't think about it, because it's it. When I take it, I'm nervous about what it's going to be. Right, you guys, I'm going to let this go because I could be on this loop forever.

Speaker 1:

But yeah, cause it is a loop.

Speaker 2:

I know and you have health anxiety too, right?

Speaker 1:

So like you get it, I get it big time.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

I'm more surrendered to it, I think.

Speaker 2:

Just take me.

Speaker 1:

But yeah, it's still there.

Speaker 2:

If I'm going to have a heart attack, I'm going to have a heart attack.

Speaker 1:

Like I almost had a panic attack in the parking garage at the Glendale Galleria earlier today, but they happen so frequently for me that I know what they are. Because of the traffic. No, it's true, it's just like one. I have one weird heart flutter and then like it sends my mind spiraling and then all of a sudden I can't breathe and then I feel like I'm going to throw up, and then and then I go. It's just a panic attack Park the car.

Speaker 2:

Do you have beta blockers? No, maybe you should get some. I'll give you a couple. Is that allowed?

Speaker 1:

You heard it here first folks.

Speaker 2:

Everyone, like a lot of people in my life, swear by them. Like Caleb is a big fan.

Speaker 1:

Well, yours are fast acting. Are they ones you have to build up in your system?

Speaker 2:

I think they're fast acting, like it's as needed.

Speaker 1:

So it's like Xanax.

Speaker 2:

Yes, but way different and it's more. It's what I think, probably for you. I guess you could probably also talk to your doctor I'm not a doctor, everyone, so in case you weren but I think it treats the, the physical things that are going on. So when you're having a panic attack, it like lowers your heart rate or your blood pressure and um the like shake, like if you're like shaking or sweating and things like that, like it's like in my non-professional opinion from what I've heard or researched, it's like those types of symptoms is what it calms those. So I honestly think cause Xanax is like also like makes you like sleepy and like all that stuff.

Speaker 1:

Right, it's a beta blocker.

Speaker 2:

But doesn't it make you super sleepy?

Speaker 1:

I think some people yeah, to me it was just like.

Speaker 2:

Xanax is just like scary Because it's easy to Get addicted to yes and people out here Are all like Xanned out Like that For some reason scares me. So when she we talked about a couple and I was like no, xanax.

Speaker 1:

Okay.

Speaker 2:

None, so Perpanol, perpanol is. Oh okay, yeah, nice, anyway, everyone, I'll be okay you will, she will what else happened with you this week?

Speaker 1:

this week I had three shoots. I went to the red carpet premiere of zombies. Four, not one, not two, not three. There's four, apparently, okay disney channel original movie oh, decom this generation's high school musical is what they say okay, was.

Speaker 2:

Is there anyone in it that we know?

Speaker 1:

well, it's like the next generation of disney kids. So everyone on the red carpet? I didn't know. But then sabrina bryan came on the red carpet and I lost my shit that's exciting a cheetah girl in live and living color yeah um the kid that played lizzie mcguire's brother. It's like when that group of Disney people came through.

Speaker 2:

I was like those are mine, those are your people. The era of DCOM Sitting down on the couch Just wow what a time.

Speaker 1:

So there was that I had two other shoots at the Buzzfeed and then In between all that, I'm trying to shop.

Speaker 2:

Trying to shop.

Speaker 1:

Trying to find fits for the shows this weekend. And then I went to Newport Beach yesterday, oh, and I got my hair cut. You didn't say anything.

Speaker 2:

People do that to me all the time. I don't look, I don't see.

Speaker 1:

It's also a half joke, because you can't I mean.

Speaker 2:

You got a trim.

Speaker 1:

She gave me layers and I, she gave me layers. Well, I also have headphones on, so you can't really see, that's also true, but I have layers and she cut off the dead ends and my hair is healthy Some inches are gone, but it's for the greater good.

Speaker 2:

You said she, that means someone new, yeah.

Speaker 1:

I went to someone new.

Speaker 2:

Because I'm also in the market.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I went to my boyfriend's gal.

Speaker 2:

I was like I gotta get this before yeah if one more person tells me my hair looks like a bob speaking of bobs, I'm gonna punch a wall, so I needed to get something done I think what I did wrong last time I saw a tiktok of someone explaining um, I think why I hated I didn't say this publicly, but I didn't love my bob the last time I got it done and I think it's because I was so used to Fernanda just knowing what I wanted. So then when I went to someone else and they cut it, I wasn't clear on. I wanted a blunt bob.

Speaker 2:

So I got some layers that I wasn't interested in, and then I think that's why it looked different to me and I didn't love it. Yeah, so everyone out there, if you're looking for a blunt cut with no layers, you have to specify when you go to get your bob.

Speaker 1:

Lesson learned.

Speaker 2:

So I do. I think that that's why I never I couldn't pinpoint it before. I was like why is this so different? Like I would said the same thing, like I want to look like a little bit longer in the front.

Speaker 1:

I want to like a little bit longer in the front.

Speaker 2:

I want it like shoulder length or whatever, but I it's because I was given layers and that's on me for not explaining exactly sure way to take ownership. I do want to get a little trim and just like a go a little darker call up salon angela palermo I know, I do think I'm going to ask her to cut it, but, um, I don't know, I don't want to put that on her to color unless she wants to. But I also, like I don't know if a box color is like the healthiest for anyone's hair.

Speaker 2:

No, not that I don't trust Angela, I'm just saying.

Speaker 1:

I love this woman so much.

Speaker 2:

I'm going to go back and start to lighten with her. I'm gonna get a balayage next month work and we're gonna just lighten and lighten, and lighten and light. Give me the deets, because I sure will. Okay, I, oh my gosh, I took the train to anaheim.

Speaker 2:

Oh, so in in the midst of panic attack other the other day yes um, josh was at work and I called him and I was like what if I just came to the Angels game to get my mind off? Because it was like it was Friday night and I didn't have any plans and I was like I don't want to sit at home and I didn't. I also wasn't like last minute going to call my friends and be like what are you guys doing? Because by that time everyone who had plans probably had plans, because it was I don't know four o'clock or something. And I was like what if I just came to the game?

Speaker 1:

I love that.

Speaker 2:

And I was like can I just come meet you? And he was like I'm already on my way, sorry. And I was like, oh, I could drive, but that's going to be the traffic at that time Terrible.

Speaker 1:

Truly.

Speaker 2:

And going to Anaheim like absolutely not rough. So he was like why don't you check the train schedule? And there was a train that I could just make like change really fast, drive to the van nuys like station.

Speaker 2:

And I took the amtrak and it was so cute it was like an hour, a little over an hour ish. Um ride stopped, had a couple stops. It was like stopped somewhere, stopped at the burbank airport, stopped in glendale, downtown la, and then from there there was like one more stop before it got to the stadium. It was like it dropped off right outside the stadium and I just literally walked under an underpass and there I was.

Speaker 1:

Oh my God, that's cool.

Speaker 2:

So it was like super cute, 20 bucks.

Speaker 1:

Okay.

Speaker 2:

And got a $17 ticket to the baseball game. Oh okay, so cheap because angels industry and I just like watch the game. Josh came up and said hi, like when he had a little break and then met him after the game drove home and I was like this was like such a nice distraction for my brain Got a little angel dog.

Speaker 1:

Did they win?

Speaker 2:

They did. It went on extra innings. It actually was too long, they were tied, no one could score and then at the last they eventually won. But that was that part was a lot. And then I come out, I like I'm trying to finding to meet josh, where he was leaving, at an exit that was different than other people, since he works there, and so I'm on the phone and I'm he's telling me where to go, so I we hang up and I walk over and I see him and he's signing autographs and I was like listening and he did say he was like it was little kids and he was like, just so you guys know I don't play and but he has like his like MLB uh uniform and stuff on.

Speaker 1:

Wow.

Speaker 2:

And they're like we don't care, and so these kids just wanted his autograph and it was the cutest thing ever. That's really cute but it was just funny to walk up to, just like signing a baseball that was funny I loved it. But um, yeah, the train super cute, love that did angela make it to your game on wednesday? Wednesday yes, no she didn't. Oh, cause she was a Buzzfeed, I saw.

Speaker 1:

Right, yeah, but we got off at four. She got off at like four.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I don't think that she am I crazy. I don't think I remember her being there.

Speaker 1:

She was very much like well, I guess I should go. I got off with enough time.

Speaker 2:

I now I'm I'm mixing the two weeks together Um cause she was there one week, oh then it was this one, because this was she hasn't been doing it On Wednesday. She was like I've never made it to a game. Okay yeah.

Speaker 1:

Okay, she did, she did make it.

Speaker 2:

Okay, good, what was she doing there? I don't know if you can say I hired her as a PA.

Speaker 1:

I needed extra hands for this shoot and I was, like everyone that's like already part of BuzzFeed machine. Who would know how it all goes? Yeah, it was unavailable except for one guy, and I needed to. I was like who else do I know that has film set experience? I was going to say you could call me but I was like oh, and I was like Angela, I did work on first gentleman and I was a good PA show runner.

Speaker 2:

I was PA right.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

You're okay. I think I did a good job.

Speaker 1:

Yes, actually you would have been fine, but I was just like let me see if Angela's interested. Because, it doesn't pay great.

Speaker 2:

But then she's kind of in the door, she's like, yeah, why not.

Speaker 1:

She did really great. She was a great PA, she helped out a lot and we were able to get the shoot done pretty quickly. I'm glad she made it to baseball, softball, dodgeball.

Speaker 2:

Well, nice glad she made it to baseball, softball, dodgeball. Well, I am also glad you win. We literally beat them so badly.

Speaker 1:

It was like 10 to 1.

Speaker 2:

So you guys, might win this year killing it crushing crushing. And my other team, my tuesday team we did win this week, but harder yeah, what's that team I do?

Speaker 1:

think I'm gonna play on um Labor Day well then, sign up, because I'm about to back out of it wait why? Because no one else is signing up and I might, and I might get a free trip to Palm Springs, but but I have already paid for this and I'm committed to it yeah, I just told him because I wasn't sure.

Speaker 2:

But I just told him on Wednesday that I would okay, well, we'll see.

Speaker 1:

Send me proof, because Karina said she would too and she didn't. And it's just me right now, okay, okay, I guess I will stick to my commitment, all right.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, you need to Okay.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Okay.

Speaker 1:

Start over. Start over, start over.

Speaker 2:

Tonight is the finale of love Island. Do you care.

Speaker 1:

I can't care. Do you know? Did you see any of the controversy that happened this past week?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, that's what we're about to talk about, but, yes, tonight is the finale, and then Big Brother has already started Whoa, so you better get in line. Get in while it's hot.

Speaker 1:

Guess who's on Big Brother. Yeah, christmas.

Speaker 2:

Well, no, I had a dream recently that she came back on the show, so I was.

Speaker 1:

I had to think no, rachel, rachel, yeah, why? Because she's bored I guess. Wow, okay, all right she was just on traders.

Speaker 2:

She's just trying to stay in the good for her in the loop, I guess okay but big brother has started. I haven't watched. I watched like the first, like two minutes of the first episode and I really wasn't mentally prepared for it. So I need to get through tonight's Love Island.

Speaker 1:

Okay.

Speaker 2:

And then this coming week I can allow myself to like get in the mindset of Big Brother. Yeah, luckily Big Brother is only three times a week and I won't be watching the live feeds, okay, well, love island being every night has been for hump day stressful, except for hump day I wasn't watching sundays either because that was after sun.

Speaker 2:

They're like talk show. So really, yeah, two nights, but yes, the finale is tonight. There has been controversy this past week with they removed Sierra from the villa Post people seeing, uncovering old videos and stories and whatever of her using a racial slur.

Speaker 1:

Okay, this, by the way, is not what I was talking about, so, like I don't know any of this, so do you know who Sierra is?

Speaker 2:

No, Okay, she um.

Speaker 1:

I know a Sierra, but it's not her one two step, you know.

Speaker 2:

I know a Sierra. So this um contestant and she was paired with this guy named Nick and cute girl. She kind of became part of like a little bit of a mean girl click, which was people started being down on her. And so then, as soon as people don't like you yes, as soon as people don't like you then that's when the digging starts happening.

Speaker 2:

Okay, that's when the digging starts happening, okay, and people found these um, I think it was a video or a story, a screenshot of a story that she put out where she was saying, um, that she gets Botox near her eyes to open them up a little, but she used um, a slur against, like the Asian community, if you can imagine, and then it in more digging.

Speaker 2:

It was like she had used that in an instagram caption back in like 20, the mid 2010s, like 2015, 2016, like that type of time, where she had said it then and then it came out that when she did the one recently, like last year or something, was the original screenshot that people found when she was talking about the Botox, that someone had messaged her and been like, hey, that's offensive. And she, um, um, apologized or whatever, I think, and then maybe there was like one more time that it was used, so it was like something that's in her vernacular, basically, and because she was corrected and then, like, still used it, it was like, oh, people are people just went in on her. It got a little far, like people involved her family and stuff, and she's Latina, I think, hispanic descent in some way.

Speaker 2:

Sorry, I don't know really exactly her ethnicity, but, um, people were like called ice on her family and stuff and like that is crazy, like, uh, she got removed and I think that that was the right decision, since they had removed ulyssa from the beginning beginning.

Speaker 1:

Yes, I remember that.

Speaker 2:

So like they were consistent, even though, like Sierra, had been there for a while, she had been a favorite and it's like a week until the finale, and I was like I don't think they're going to remove her because it's so close to the finale, but they did like overnight.

Speaker 1:

Wow.

Speaker 2:

The next morning, after, like people were really going in on her, she was gone the next episode and they they just said she was removed or whatever. Um, so that has been the controversy, and she came out with an apology video by the time she got home. And it wasn't. It was. It was, uh, art, she articulated well, but I don't think that people really bought all of it, because she used the phrase holding space a lot.

Speaker 2:

She was like I'm no longer holding space for this slur or something, and it was like holding space. People were not a fan of her using holding space, but this is what she looks like.

Speaker 1:

Okay, yeah, I remember the one episode I watched. Yeah, so that is that the finale is tonight.

Speaker 2:

Um, okay, yeah, I remember the one episode I watched. Yeah, so that is that the finale is tonight. Thank god, the guy she was with Is now with Alandria. Do you remember her? I do, and people are really liking.

Speaker 1:

Because they More than Nicolandria, oh, that's them.

Speaker 2:

That's them, so we'll see, but I think that Amaya Papaya Is gonna win.

Speaker 1:

Okay.

Speaker 2:

Love Island is ending that, so we'll see, but I think that Amaya Papaya is going to win Okay.

Speaker 1:

Love Island is ending.

Speaker 2:

That's all I just needed to tell you. But since you don't know that, you didn't know the drama, then I'm just informing you that there was drama.

Speaker 1:

I should hope so.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Reality TV.

Speaker 2:

What are your thoughts on? I guess the precedent of like if you're on television and something comes out like what's the statute of limitations on removal. Like if she hadn't had the. The Instagram story about the Botox was like last year, if that wasn't it, and someone found something from 2015,. Like is that? No, we, someone found something from 2015 like is that?

Speaker 1:

no, we've talked about this. I think that, yeah, as long as there's like they're, they are not.

Speaker 2:

It's like what happened with tana and brooke brooke yeah, yeah, like I think, because both of theirs were recent. You listen at the beginning. You're right, we did talk about it when you listen. I got kicked out. They were so recent that it's like we can't. This is too close to you right now. Yes, and if it's said in during filming, which with love Island, they, because they're editing, they would just wouldn't put it in the edit and then no one would know.

Speaker 2:

But because on big brother and stuff with the live feeds, as soon as someone says something, the guy in big brother UK with our celebrity big brother with Jojo and there's been countless people on big brother us that say something and it's on the live feeds and the fans clock it immediately and then it's like, well, we have to remove you now because you said it in real time right and I don't know, but if it was just the 2015 thing, I think I would have not been.

Speaker 2:

I think that she probably will would have needed to hear about it or address it when she got out and just be like I. I, you know it's not, it was this many years ago. It doesn't change the fact that I said it, but I am sorry. You know what I mean.

Speaker 2:

Like you do need to be like okay, I acknowledge that this was wrong to say, but again, like we, our childhood was a different time. I guess she's younger, but like when we were younger. I can't believe how many people in regular life said the F slur, the R slur, like all those things. It was just like so in the world, in music, in movies. I think I just saw a movie that someone said something crazy that I was like Whoa, that could never happen today. I wish I could remember, but I think it was our word and it was just like like wild, yeah, like the like people in school.

Speaker 1:

when I was in school used to say the R word without the R E.

Speaker 2:

It yes, no, the what I'm thinking of. I forget the show, but it was um the t word. This is hard to say um referring to oh yeah yeah yeah that was in a show. It could have been like friends or something and I was like wild, yeah. But anyway, sorry about her, I guess yeah she'll, she'll have to deal with it and whatever yeah I do hope that she feels like understands and isn't just like because her apology.

Speaker 2:

she was wearing like a sweatshirt that said empathy and she had like a Jade necklace which I guess has like some sort of significance in, and it was just like she's trying hard to be like feel sorry for me and kind of like. The empathy sweater was like very it felt it was like I'm putting this on because I'm about to do this, so that's why people aren't really buying it.

Speaker 1:

That sucks.

Speaker 2:

Do you, are you ready for you know what time it is I am. Are you going to sing?

Speaker 1:

it. It's time for.

Speaker 2:

A-list of the week. Ooh, I liked that Mango sticky rice.

Speaker 1:

Okay, elaborate.

Speaker 2:

Have you ever had it?

Speaker 1:

Of course, and you've actually talked about it before.

Speaker 2:

Was it an A-list of the week already, or was it just like I had?

Speaker 1:

it. No, you were just talking about it.

Speaker 2:

I just had it today. That's why I remembered it, Because it is like mango season right now summertime.

Speaker 1:

It is summertime. I have mango in the fridge right now.

Speaker 2:

We had lunch from.

Speaker 1:

Josh's favorite Thai place. Oh yeah, Is it Sun Sunset Thai?

Speaker 2:

Summer Canteen.

Speaker 1:

Nope, okay, have you ever had that?

Speaker 2:

No, but summer it's pretty good. Summer what did I say Sunset Thai?

Speaker 1:

has mango sticky rice.

Speaker 2:

I think most Thai places probably do it this time of year, but I just had it earlier and it was delicious, so I just wanted everyone to know it's mango season, get your mangoes and if you have the opportunity, to order mango sticky rice, do it because it's delicious. I love that. What's yours?

Speaker 1:

my list of the week is the backstreet boys album, album millennium, because I'm going to their residency in vegas, millennium 2.0 I might need some merch you let me know if there's like a cute crew neck or t-shirt or something, I might need you to send me a quick. Have you seen any of the videos from their opening night?

Speaker 2:

I have because Reagan has sent them to me and I've seen them on Tik Tok.

Speaker 1:

It's pretty crazy Like the set of this at the sphere is insane, but it is interesting to see it how we've progressed to a place where there's no backup dancers now. I don't like that. I'm in. I'm curious.

Speaker 2:

I think it's because, well, do you think it's because the sphere has so much going on? Also, do you need a zofran no are you worried? Oh, I think I would be if we were high up okay, I would be so worried about being nauseous because even in the videos I'm like whoa no, I'm ready for it.

Speaker 1:

I'm probably gonna be. It be, it's going to be fine.

Speaker 2:

Oh my God, I'm going to be barred out. Is that what you're about to say? I was going to say barred out, no.

Speaker 1:

But I was just like, yeah, it looks very impressive, but it's like seeing the Backstreet Boys without dancers. It could also be that the residency is only Fridays and Saturdays and maybe it's just like hard to like. How do you employ dancers for just two days, two nights a week?

Speaker 2:

You just do.

Speaker 1:

You're right, it's Vegas. You're right.

Speaker 2:

They just would. It's like a it's a gig. Yeah, they would just probably pay for some cheap housing in Vegas and they would have a rehearsal or two midweek and then they would have you're right the show. Like that's weird to me. There's obviously it's a group of them, it's not just a single singer, but I think it's weird that there's no dancers.

Speaker 1:

It's interesting. I am excited and I do. I've been listening to the album they re-released. It called Millennium 2.0. And it's got some live performances from their show in Indianapolis, Indiana. I'm going to have fun. And then the new version of I Want it that Way, which everyone go listen.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, he was telling me earlier it's got some new lyrics. Yeah, it's crazy, no one's going to sing Like I'm so sorry, no one's singing that.

Speaker 1:

We're going to listen to it after this.

Speaker 2:

Two things. One, I do think that I've seen the Backstreet Boys a couple times in concert because my sister is a New Kids on the Block fan and they toured with them a couple times, and so I feel like I've been to like two of those concerts where they were together. One time it was like also TLC and Nelly and someone else. I will say I think that they didn't have other dancers there either.

Speaker 1:

Oh my God, wait, it's a boy band.

Speaker 2:

Maybe they don't have other dancers yeah, I don't think NSYN ink ever did right, I don't know. Yeah, I don't think they do oh okay, so debunked I guess. The second thing is have you listened to jb's?

Speaker 1:

jb's I just started to and I like the song daisies. I think it's cute I do.

Speaker 2:

I'm just like kind of bored with this style, I'm sorry is it more of the same? Yeah, what he's been doing. Yeah, yeah, it's just like not my vibe. Yeah, give me one. Is it one world?

Speaker 1:

Huh.

Speaker 2:

What's that Um? One his album like from when he my world is that what it's called, I think it's called my World and then it's my World 2.0. Oh my gosh. The acoustic version.

Speaker 1:

I have it on CD. How many? I told you it's so good my World.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I liked that. Believe was good too. I just like haven't cared after that.

Speaker 1:

I like the one that has um. Yes, you do, we both. You love the album. What do you mean?

Speaker 2:

I like that singular song, but that song sounds different than all of these not on that album.

Speaker 1:

They all sound like that when it where's.

Speaker 2:

What do you mean?

Speaker 1:

I don't know it could have been you I don't know that song what about the one that paris? Oh, that's what do you mean?

Speaker 2:

yeah, what do you mean?

Speaker 1:

doesn't sound like so that was his last like full pop out. Yeah, it was very pop purpose 2015 purpose you'll give me purpose love yourself, yeah yeah this vibe is what I like, I don't like the last two albums, yeah and I didn't care for journals either journals 2013.

Speaker 2:

What's on that?

Speaker 1:

you might not even recognize it was a kind of an indie release.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I don't recognize any of them. Um Christmas album.

Speaker 1:

Yes, I'm in the mistletoe and my world acoustic.

Speaker 2:

Everyone go listen to that.

Speaker 1:

It's so good it's so good.

Speaker 2:

But yeah, I just don't care and I am happy for him to be releasing music again.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

And I would love for him to go on tour for all the girlies that like need to see jb again I got to see him perform what do you mean?

Speaker 1:

at the billboard awards? It was great.

Speaker 2:

He's great, yeah, but he's just like going through something right now that maybe we don't want to see it but, happy for him to be doing music yeah all right.

Speaker 1:

Well, there's no speak pipes all those birthdays probably, I'm sure there are oh, shout out, daphne, my niece her birthday was yesterday ninth, tenth, ninth ninth birthday 10th, 9th 9th birthday, nine, that's it.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, nine going on like 21.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Conor McGregor, MMA fighter. We don't care, he's 37. Lonnie Love 54. Aw, Hilarious Jane Lynch 65.

Speaker 1:

Nice.

Speaker 2:

Scott Porter. Do you know who that is? He's an actor, but he's on that show Jenny in Georgia.

Speaker 1:

Oh yeah.

Speaker 2:

He plays the Mayor.

Speaker 1:

Yep.

Speaker 2:

Happy birthday, you random few Having a hard time Getting through this, president Gerald Ford.

Speaker 1:

Oh good.

Speaker 2:

Mistress Isabel Brooks, oh fun. 27.

Speaker 1:

Oh, I am an episode to catch up on.

Speaker 2:

Phoebe Waller-Bridge.

Speaker 1:

Oh.

Speaker 2:

Do you know her? I've heard her name before. Sounds familiar English actress and playwright earned praise for the play Fleabag oh yeah, and she's a head writer and executive producer on the hit series Killing Eve, which is a great series everyone and you should watch it. Period is killing eve, which is a great series everyone and you should watch it. Period period she's 40. That's it. Okay, let's look at entertainment, because I also like to see what came out on this day also a bug's life well, maybe x-men released in 2000 okay the blair witch project 1999 changed the landscape of horror films forever.

Speaker 2:

True, Johnny Bravo 1997.

Speaker 1:

I was always told that my hair reminded people of him.

Speaker 2:

It was very tall from what I've seen it was tall, the Sorcerer's Apprentice. Good movie Nicolas Cage.

Speaker 1:

Honestly great.

Speaker 2:

It's a good movie 2010. The Wendy Williams Show premiered in 2008. Wow Clap, if you think that they should die.

Speaker 1:

Is that what she says?

Speaker 2:

I don't something like that, yeah clap if you think they should die. It's so stupid um you, me and dupree 2006 okay, will and osin will and osin osin will and oh oh oh my gosh, um john cook. The song seven one, two, three, four, five, six, wait, monday, tuesday, wednesday, is that the song?

Speaker 2:

There it is. Yeah, 2023. That's a good song. Oh, they're all out. Have we talked about this? They're all out, it's done.

Speaker 1:

Finally, they're all gay.

Speaker 2:

They are all released from the military and they announced a world tour and they are like we're back.

Speaker 1:

Dust off those dancing shoes, Jimin. We need you.

Speaker 2:

I would like to go to the concert concert, but it's going to be crazy well, maybe if we're lucky we'll get the last.

Speaker 1:

Maybe if we're lucky we'll get to sit at the very top.

Speaker 2:

I can't do that again, although the tickets were only 60, so I can't be mad that's true because now concerts are literally, if you want to sit anywhere, that's not the last row. It's like you're paying 500, 2000 and I just like don't care enough for that. Yeah, anyway, all right everyone. Well, that's that on that on that, that's that thank you for watching me and my laboo boo. Thank you, yes, and alex wants to tell you that he loves you so much and have a great week. Bye the A-List.
