SPEAKER_00:

I just really love how that came together.

SPEAKER_01:

That was nice.

SPEAKER_00:

That was nice.

SPEAKER_01:

It's an organic intro that just set out for in this podcast.

SPEAKER_00:

We were like, we want a intro that feels natural. But it's like a people know it's a recurring thing. And somehow it really came together.

SPEAKER_01:

I think it took us a year.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01:

I don't think it was consistent until we hit a year.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01:

And we it even adapted more unintentionally because I we used to talk over each other.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01:

And then I was like, no, it's gonna sound better if we say the names the same, but just change the you're he.

SPEAKER_00:

Yes.

SPEAKER_01:

I'm I'm she, I'm he.

SPEAKER_00:

And we are we.

SPEAKER_01:

We are and we are we.

SPEAKER_00:

Yes.

SPEAKER_01:

And we are here. So if you're listening to this, you didn't get raptured.

SPEAKER_00:

You didn't, and neither did we. You gotta figure that out. What a crazy I know that happens like every few years, right? Because I looked back on the Rapture Wikipedia because I started really deep diving. Um, I haven't really studied the Rapture since I was in vacation Bible school. And probably like I'm sure we talked about it in like teenagers.

SPEAKER_01:

Vacation Bible school. Hilarious thought. I I can almost promise that they're not being like one week out of the summer that you're at church for VBS. They're like one day one day you're gonna wake up and your family's gonna be gone. Are you gonna be with them?

SPEAKER_00:

No, but probably like the teen time during you know when you go back in the back during teen time. Is that what was it called? Kid, no.

SPEAKER_01:

Sunday school?

SPEAKER_00:

I guess.

SPEAKER_01:

I know what you're talking about, and yes.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, probably we talked about it then. I never saw the movie, I'm sure you did.

SPEAKER_01:

Left Behind. Yeah, and Left Behind 2, starring Jordan Sparks.

SPEAKER_00:

There's two?

SPEAKER_01:

Well, yeah.

SPEAKER_00:

It's a sequel or is it just another one?

SPEAKER_01:

No, it's a sequel.

SPEAKER_00:

Whoa.

SPEAKER_01:

Kirk Cameron is in it, and Jordan Sparks. I'm gonna say it again.

SPEAKER_00:

And Jordan Sparks. Was that one of her earlier works?

SPEAKER_01:

Wait, I lied to you. It's a remake.

SPEAKER_00:

That does make sense. Because, like, what is part two, you know?

SPEAKER_01:

The second rapture.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah. Well, if you guys, I don't know if people who aren't online know about this. Right. So over the past week, someone predicted that the rapture, the Christian rapture, was going to happen on today, Tuesday, September 23rd. And I feel like this kind of came out of there's a random girl who went viral that was like, I know someone in the government, and on September 24th, don't believe anything you hear.

SPEAKER_01:

Okay, I did see that too. I didn't connect it to this.

SPEAKER_00:

Well, because people were saying if you, if everyone is taken, don't b the government's gonna try to say that it's aliens.

SPEAKER_01:

Oh, they tied it into that video?

SPEAKER_00:

I think.

SPEAKER_01:

Because that's tomorrow.

SPEAKER_00:

Yes, but it would be like this happened today, so then we wake up tomorrow and everyone's like, where did all these people go? And they were like, the government's gonna try to tell you that it's aliens. And don't believe them. And so then I think out of that, somehow the rapture happening on the 23rd happened, but it took over the social media community.

SPEAKER_01:

Well, it was a South African minister.

SPEAKER_00:

He predicted it?

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah. So So two different things were going on.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah. Because I maybe that is why people really like were really believing.

SPEAKER_01:

And I found the podcast he was on where he talked about it.

SPEAKER_00:

He just said like a prophecy came to him.

SPEAKER_01:

No, it's be based on the Jewish, isn't it like ra ha uh Rosh Hashanah today? And it's tied into the the Feast of Trumpets.

SPEAKER_00:

Which, yeah. But also, how does it how is it Jewish? Because this is not a Jewish thing.

SPEAKER_01:

Correct, correct. But he said it has to do with the Feast of Trumpets and something with the but he is the one that started it.

SPEAKER_00:

Okay.

SPEAKER_01:

The South African minister.

SPEAKER_00:

But why this year? Because Rosh Hashanah happens every year.

SPEAKER_01:

Right, I know. I don't know. Maybe because of all the turmoil turmoil in the world, and that's like one of the signs.

SPEAKER_00:

True. True.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00:

But I looked on the um Wikipedia, and it was like it listed however many years like this has been a worldwide or uh something that has taken on, like where a lot of people thought like this is the year.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00:

And it was in the 50s, in the 70s, in the in 2008. Yeah, literally. So um, and I'm not disparaging anyone who believed.

SPEAKER_01:

I want to see the following.

SPEAKER_00:

I just don't believe that it's supposed to be known and being prepared for because I was seeing a lot of TikToks that were like people who were like, I'm preparing my home for when I leave. And I've I saw this woman she like laminated cards that were like, This is what happened, and this is what you need to do, and then like this is how to take care of my dogs. And I was like, I just don't think you're supposed to be able to prepare like this. I don't correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think that's it.

SPEAKER_01:

The Bible does say not even Jesus knows the day of his return. Like yeah, it the scripture says something literally like a thief in the night. Like you're not supposed to know.

SPEAKER_00:

Because if you have time to prepare, then you have time to be saved, which honestly, maybe that is good. I don't know.

SPEAKER_01:

Sure, but the point is you're supposed to be a faithful follower all the time. Yeah, because you're not supposed to know. Because if we all knew that it was January 16th, not January January 16th, 2026, then w everyone would just be doing their thing and then be like, okay, okay, okay.

SPEAKER_00:

Okay. One thing, the last thing that I will say, because this is not a religious podcast, it's not. It's not, is I do have a problem with I saw this guy who was an Uber driver. Bless you.

SPEAKER_02:

Thank you.

SPEAKER_00:

And he was like, I picked up this couple from church on Sunday, and they got in the car and they were like, We prayed for this. Could all be made up by the way, but this was his story. And he's he said they got in the car and they were like talking to him, and they were like, We prayed for our Uber driver to be someone who will need this money that we want to give you. So they're saying they prayed for someone who was going to be left behind to be their Uber driver. And they had a lot of cash and they were like, We don't need this money because like we aren't gonna be here. So we want to give you like an extra amount of money and so that you can do do something with it. I don't know.

SPEAKER_01:

I wonder if they're looking at their Uber history today to try to find this man.

SPEAKER_00:

Maybe. And and they gave him like an extra tip like on the app, too. And it was like sixteen hundred dollars, like it was a lot of money. And I'm watching him and I'm listening to him tell the story, and I'm like, wait, so they were like, You're definitely not going. So we're gonna give you this. But in no, at no point in time did they try to be like, like, let me tell you about God, like, let me teach you, let me spread the word. They were just like, you're not going, so we're gonna give you our money and pity you. Like, isn't the point to spread the word?

SPEAKER_01:

Well, in that particular instance, to me, it's it's a it's a little like they believe this thing was happening with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength. Yeah therefore, when they prayed for an Uber driver to give the money to, they trusted that it would be sent to them someone who wasn't saved. So there could be no other option. Because they believe it.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, I guess you could still try. If that's like, I don't know.

SPEAKER_01:

I don't we can't get too far into this, but that I just thought that was an interesting can't wait to like get on TikTok when I lay down tonight to find the videos of people being like, well, I was wrong. Like, there's one woman I was following who's like crying, and she was like, I'm just uh this is my last video, and I promise, if we wake up and it didn't happen, I'll come on here and I'll apologize for my my ignorance. It's like I'm waiting. Yeah, I bookmarked that video so I can come find her account today.

SPEAKER_00:

And you know what? Believing in something is great, yeah. So I don't know, but that was what was happening online. And when I tell you I couldn't, that's all I was seeing, that's all I was seeing. So I had to it had to be talked about because what else?

SPEAKER_01:

Yep. I I saw a doctor.

SPEAKER_00:

You saw a doctor.

SPEAKER_01:

I finally saw the doctor. For just a general I found a new doctor, went and saw him.

SPEAKER_00:

How did you like him?

SPEAKER_01:

I liked him a lot. Um he was very funny, very disarming. He thinks that I have I might have an autoimmune disease based on my strange medical history.

SPEAKER_00:

You know what? That checks.

SPEAKER_01:

So he ordered all these tests. So I'm having like a bone density test test, a bunch of blood work.

SPEAKER_00:

Does he know like what's what kind he's thinking it is? Or just like in general, autoimmune?

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, and he's that's why he wants to check my bone density to see if it's something. I don't I don't I don't know. I'm seeing I'm getting a dexicon test or something. Dexascan. Dexascan. Dexicon. I'm getting a dexascan.

SPEAKER_00:

I'm gonna find out a lot of info.

SPEAKER_01:

A kidney doctor, a cardiologist.

SPEAKER_00:

Was he your weird medical history? What all did that include? Heart, kidney stones?

SPEAKER_01:

Heart, kidney, really high testosterone levels.

SPEAKER_00:

Hey.

SPEAKER_01:

Hey. Um my migraines.

SPEAKER_00:

Okay. And did you ask Chat GPT?

SPEAKER_01:

No.

SPEAKER_00:

Okay.

SPEAKER_01:

Because I saw this guy, but it was funny when he was taking all my medical history, he was, you know, doing the questions like, do you drink? Do you smoke? All that. And then he was like, when was the last time you were tested for STDs? And I was like, March or April. And he was like, Nope, March. It was March, and I definitely told him April. I just remembered. And he was like, Okay, should we we should probably do that again? I was like, No, I'm in a committed relationship since then. And he was like, um he starts to he was one of those doctors that reads while he types. So he was like, committed, heterosexual. And I was like, oh sorry, homo. And he was like, Thank God, honestly, I prefer spelling homo, it's much easier.

SPEAKER_00:

Whatever. You're funny. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, I liked him.

SPEAKER_00:

Okay, well, that's good.

SPEAKER_01:

So, but because I leave the country twice in the next two weeks, I'm doing all those tests when I get back.

SPEAKER_00:

That's good.

SPEAKER_01:

But I got my asthma piece refilled. Oh, that was another one. He's like, severe allergies, asthma that I still have.

SPEAKER_00:

Mm-hmm. He's like, let's just Because it's you should grow out of it. I saw a product on TikTok that is a nose Alarmy. What?

SPEAKER_01:

Oh, uh if we saw the same thing, it's called Alarmy.

SPEAKER_00:

I don't know the name of it, but it was like a stick that you sniff.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00:

And they have different like smells.

SPEAKER_01:

Oh no. Alarm is a like nasal spray. I know what you're talking about. It's the boom boom sticks.

SPEAKER_00:

Boom boom sticks. Have you tried?

SPEAKER_01:

Well, it's VIX. I have had those a lot. I actually have two right now, but it's And they don't help. Yeah, I mean it gives you an instant like like eating a Listerine strip. Yeah, but it doesn't help with the get rid of the claw.

SPEAKER_00:

What do you say about that?

SPEAKER_01:

Didn't tell him about it.

SPEAKER_00:

Well.

SPEAKER_01:

So my hope, my next thing is to go see an allergist or uh uh ENTER an ENT, because they're the ones that like Yeah, he would just refer you to an ENT. Correct. So I'm gonna take care of these for and I have to go to a whoever does colonoscopies.

SPEAKER_00:

I don't know their name.

SPEAKER_01:

But I have to go to one because I'm I am only 35. They don't do that until like 40 is the first. Um but because of the history of colon cancer on both sides of my family and my medical history, he's like, might as well just go talk to one and see like what they think.

SPEAKER_00:

You can just do an at-home test. They do those now.

SPEAKER_01:

Well, he referred me to the case.

SPEAKER_00:

I mean, I'm not a doctor, but I knew they I know that they have at-home tests.

SPEAKER_01:

So I'm gonna well, yeah, I think it's more like he just wants me to meet with one, talk about medical history, see if that doctor thinks that I should get one now or wait till I'm 40.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah. I have to tell the psychologist I've been seeing that I can't see him anymore because it's too expensive. And like, what do I how do I do that?

SPEAKER_01:

Exactly like that.

SPEAKER_00:

Because not only meeting with him, even though it's telehealth, is expensive, and then the medication is a hundred dollars a month. And so I can't do$200 a month because I just got a bill and I'm assuming it was for the last one and it was like$113. So therefore$200 a month, like I'm so sorry I can't do that.

SPEAKER_01:

Are you but does will you st will still be able to get the medication without something? I don't know.

SPEAKER_00:

I kind of don't want it. Oh but I feel like he's gonna be like, Well, how do you feel? And I'm gonna be like, I feel pretty good. And he's gonna be like, is that the medication or what? But I or he's gonna be like, you're gonna have to switch to a cheaper one. And like that, I don't the reason I'm on the one I'm on is because I wanted less side effects.

SPEAKER_01:

Here's what I recommend. Or like stopping six weeks away from being able to switch your health insurance plan.

SPEAKER_00:

True.

SPEAKER_01:

So why don't you maybe maybe we do some research and see if there's a better plan that would cover more of that medication?

SPEAKER_00:

That's true. All right.

SPEAKER_01:

Food for thought.

SPEAKER_00:

Food for thought. But I will be like, hey, can we like I can't afford meeting with you every month? So like can we email? Like, what's the right because really he was just like, How do you feel? And he was like, Have you had any nightmares? Have you blah blah blah? And I was like, no. And he was like, Okay.

unknown:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00:

So like, don't I don't need you to charge me$100.

SPEAKER_01:

And this is weekly?

SPEAKER_00:

Monthly.

SPEAKER_01:

Monthly, yeah. Maybe can you go on like a quarterly even?

SPEAKER_00:

Maybe, maybe it gets less frequent, like the longer.

SPEAKER_01:

We need more information.

SPEAKER_00:

We do, but I have to meet with him tomorrow.

SPEAKER_01:

I like your necklaces, by the way.

SPEAKER_00:

Thank you. Speaking of doctors, yeah. I had I went to the gynecologist this week, and this is a PSA. If you are someone who goes to the gynecologist, to don't be afraid and go, especially if you're 30 plus.

SPEAKER_01:

Don't be afraid and go.

SPEAKER_00:

Don't be afraid. If you've never gone, I mean, if you're younger and you are, you know, doing adult things, you should go. But it isn't scary, and it's better to go and, you know, be healthy than to be scared and not go. So I went and actually it was like a very quick thing, so it wasn't annoying. Okay. And then I came home and I stubbed my pinky toe on the shower, like on the tub, so hard that my whole pinky toe is perfect.

SPEAKER_01:

Broke off.

SPEAKER_00:

Oh, I don't right now.

SPEAKER_01:

Now later. You're already later. You're you're tucked in.

SPEAKER_00:

I couldn't believe it. I stubbed it and it was just like that, like few seconds of like intense. Intense. And and you normally it's just like, and then it goes away and it's fine. And then a few hours later, I was like, my toe still hurts. And I looked at it and it was starting to get purple. And then the next day it was so purple. And Josh was like, told me that I should go to urgent care or something. And I was like, what are they gonna do? They don't do anything for toes. They're just gonna be like, if it's broken, they're just gonna be like, you're gonna have to like tape it together and just let it go. And if it's not, they're just gonna be like, I can't do anything. Yeah. So I didn't go, but you're right, that's uh that's all that would happen. What else?

SPEAKER_01:

That was our medical corner.

SPEAKER_00:

Medical corner.

SPEAKER_01:

Anything for sports corner?

SPEAKER_00:

No, we start tomorrow.

SPEAKER_01:

Oh, hell yeah.

SPEAKER_00:

New season starting tomorrow.

SPEAKER_01:

Right on.

SPEAKER_00:

And my old team is merging with my new team. Well, our original team. Because the Tuesday league is um like a one of those weird, like not a real different format. This god, I can't talk. It's a different format this season, and a lot of my team wasn't playing in that because they don't like that format. And we had a good amount of people not come back this season.

SPEAKER_01:

For Lucius, yeah.

SPEAKER_00:

So Jack recruited the old Cooter Punch.

SPEAKER_01:

Oh my god, who? Do you know who?

SPEAKER_00:

Brendan Blake, Nick, Trent?

SPEAKER_01:

No, Maddie?

SPEAKER_00:

No. It might honestly just be those three. Oh, okay. There might be someone else. I just like can't remember the group chat, but so I was like, wow, both teams. But yeah, there's nothing to report because we start tomorrow. Okay. So next week you will have a thing.

SPEAKER_01:

A full report.

SPEAKER_00:

But yesterday I cleaned my fridge.

SPEAKER_01:

How'd that go?

SPEAKER_00:

It took a long time and I was sweating so much, but it looks nice. Like I fully took out all the drawers, took out all of them, washed them down.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00:

It's the worst.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, it is.

SPEAKER_00:

But it looks really nice in there.

SPEAKER_01:

I'm proud of you. That's hard. Clean the refrigerator is like top top of like one of the things I hate.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah.

unknown:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00:

Floorboards and that.

SPEAKER_01:

Floorboards, refrigerator, dishes. I don't know why I hate dishes so much.

SPEAKER_00:

What? I guess you don't. You don't have a dishwasher here. I don't know. So you do have to do them by hand.

SPEAKER_01:

I do. I love vacuuming though. Give it to me every day.

SPEAKER_00:

I need a new vacuum. They're expensive.

SPEAKER_01:

They are. It's one of those things. It's stupid expensive.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00:

Well, I am almost done watching Sex Lives with College Girls. I like season three.

unknown:

Oh.

SPEAKER_01:

It's because of the musical theater girly, isn't it?

SPEAKER_00:

Do you know who that is? No. That girl I hate. Well, she's fine. She's not good. The musical theater girl, she's kind of annoying. I, the like kind of nerdy, smart girl from that's in all the seasons.

SPEAKER_01:

Timothy Chalamet's sister.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, that's what I was gonna tell you.

SPEAKER_01:

I was like, Oh, I know.

SPEAKER_00:

No one told me this, and I didn't know she had a si he had a sister.

SPEAKER_01:

And her breasts are huge.

SPEAKER_00:

She does have moves.

SPEAKER_01:

And she has that face that's like, are you 45 or are you 21?

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, I followed her on Instagram and she is cool.

SPEAKER_01:

She is cool.

SPEAKER_00:

Like she has like really cool photography shots.

SPEAKER_01:

No, I love that show.

SPEAKER_00:

I want to say this might be controversial. I don't think Renee Rapp was the best part of the show.

SPEAKER_01:

That is controversial.

SPEAKER_00:

I liked her storyline and I like her. But her being gone is not not affecting you. It's not really affecting me. I will say the new girl, the British girl, I don't care. Like the core girls are enough for me.

SPEAKER_01:

I will say what I think they did what they did. I first saw they gave her a nice exit. I'm glad that they gave her an exit and then just cut her out.

SPEAKER_00:

Expecting her to be in the first like three episodes. Yeah, two or three.

SPEAKER_01:

But they should have just left it with those three girls, the other three.

SPEAKER_00:

I agree.

SPEAKER_01:

I think they tried too hard and it made it awkward. It's like don't replace them.

SPEAKER_00:

Just side characters come in that aren't like they're trying to be be main characters because like most of the guys, like I think the uh Lily, is that her name?

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah. And Kanan, like the all of those people are still good. Those storylines are still happening, and I'm like, I don't, yeah, I don't need these other girls. And I like the core three girls enough that like I'm still having a good time.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00:

So yeah, I'm not like devastated by Renee's departure.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00:

Cause sometimes I'm sorry, sometimes she doesn't do it.

SPEAKER_01:

She's a little too gen Z for you.

SPEAKER_00:

Maybe. I don't know. But I do love her like as an artist and singer and everything. It's just I I was like, oh, I'm fine. Yeah. With this. I'm almost done. I have like three episodes left.

SPEAKER_01:

Love that.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah. What are you watching?

SPEAKER_01:

Well, it's Go More Girls season, of course.

SPEAKER_00:

How far have you gotten?

SPEAKER_01:

Almost done with season one.

SPEAKER_00:

Nice.

SPEAKER_01:

And Chad's watching two. And the other night, Angela and I, Angela Crean and I went out and we went to Foreman's and randomly ran into Katie. My friend Katie. And she works on the Warner Brothers lot. And I was like, hey. She was like, yeah. It's like, what's going on?

SPEAKER_00:

Can you get me in?

SPEAKER_01:

And she was like, yeah. So that's on the docket now.

SPEAKER_00:

Love.

SPEAKER_01:

I'm like, Chad.

SPEAKER_00:

I might try to watch it once I finish this.

SPEAKER_01:

Don't say that.

SPEAKER_00:

No, I might, I might try. But I'm not making any promises. If I if it doesn't, how how long do I need to give it to pull me in?

SPEAKER_01:

You're asking a real Gilmore head. Um I mean, to be honest, boyfriend has was ne like it was never something. And then he was like, Let me give it a shot. And episode one hooked him. And he was like, okay.

SPEAKER_00:

But I have seen episodes.

SPEAKER_01:

But not consecutively.

SPEAKER_00:

No.

SPEAKER_01:

Here's the thing light a candle, set the vibe, which I know your apartment already is.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01:

And that is what like that's what he does.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah. I think because it's also not like chilly yet, although next week there's like three days where it's like high as like 77 or something.

SPEAKER_01:

I just yeah.

SPEAKER_00:

But I think I would like it more if it wasn't so hot.

unknown:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00:

But I can't do anything about that.

SPEAKER_01:

No. Unfortunately, this is where we live, and we will get that weather in December.

SPEAKER_00:

How about every episode I complain about the temperature?

SPEAKER_01:

That's good.

SPEAKER_00:

Um, wait. So yeah, I might. I finished this show. I'm almost done with the pumpkin size cafe book, which and there are five, there are four more books in this world, in this city.

SPEAKER_01:

Do you care to do it?

SPEAKER_00:

It isn't good, and I probably will give it a two-star, but I it's like bad enough that I understand not gonna be mad at reading more of these books.

SPEAKER_01:

It's taking you a minute. Are they easy reads? You're just taking your time.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, I just like I haven't consistently read a bunch every night.

SPEAKER_01:

I need to see the cover of this book. Can you show me a picture? Because I feel I'm picturing, I want it to know if it's what I'm picturing.

SPEAKER_00:

I'll show you the whole series. Maybe. There's a there's a couple gay characters.

SPEAKER_01:

Okay, not what I was picturing.

SPEAKER_00:

What were you picturing?

SPEAKER_01:

Like those books that everyone's reading right now that have a very specific like like AI, like boy and girl guys.

SPEAKER_00:

Yes, yes. Yes. Here's the box set. So when they're next to it. Oh great. Well, when they're the like binding has part of the house or the cafes or whatever. So when they're next to each other, like it looks like little stores next to each other like that. It's pretty cute.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00:

It did take them until chapter 25 to do the deed.

SPEAKER_01:

Is it their wedding night?

SPEAKER_00:

No, it's uh it's a it's really up and down with Logan and Janine. Logan is the brooding farm owner, and Janine is the shebrands the pumpkin spice cafe.

SPEAKER_01:

Did they do it for the first time in the barn?

SPEAKER_00:

No.

SPEAKER_01:

Oh.

SPEAKER_00:

So like it does feel like a little homey, but it isn't a good book or storyline. And it will be two stars on my good readers.

SPEAKER_01:

Like, I do not recommend, but I will be reading more.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, it's just like it's a Hallmark movie. Like Hallmark movies aren't good.

SPEAKER_01:

Right.

SPEAKER_00:

And you wouldn't rate them highly, you know, cinematically, but it is something to read or to watch and pass the time and have like warm and fuzzy feelings. It's like literally just a Hallmark movie in book form.

SPEAKER_01:

Right.

SPEAKER_00:

So I should be done, like honestly, tonight.

SPEAKER_01:

I'm excited to hear how it concludes.

SPEAKER_00:

So that's um Wow. What do you uh what do you want to talk about?

SPEAKER_01:

Well, I am gonna get to I'm going to Bogota, and until today I thought it would be humid summer weather. No, Bogota is like Seattle, apparently. So I'm going to 50, 55 degree rainy weather. So I have been planning in my head crop tops and shorts, and now I have to pivot to pull out jackets and jeans.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, do you have that like put away somewhere?

SPEAKER_01:

No, no. Everything is in my closet because you know me. You never know when you need your leather jacket.

SPEAKER_00:

That's true. Do you have a rain jacket?

SPEAKER_01:

No. I won't be going out in the rain.

SPEAKER_00:

What boots? Are you taking boots?

SPEAKER_01:

What kind?

SPEAKER_00:

I don't know. Something that you can walk around if it's raining in and not be like wet feet and your chucks, that's gonna be so wet.

SPEAKER_01:

Hadn't considered that.

SPEAKER_00:

You might need a boot.

SPEAKER_01:

Well, I do have boots. It's just like packing shoes is the worst part of packing for me. Usually for anyone, I think.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, because it takes up a lot. Were you planning on just taking carry-on?

SPEAKER_01:

No, no, because I get a bag included because it's international, so like I'm gonna load it up.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah. You gotta throw some boots in there.

unknown:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00:

You also don't know like terrain. I don't know what's what's the terrain. Like you're gonna be hiking somewhere.

SPEAKER_01:

Well, it is on a mountain and it's very highly elevated, so there's a the potential of altitude sickness. But she said the streets and the sidewalks and stuff is like LA. Like it's very like uneven sidewalks, not super clean, but not like dangerous.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah. Um you might need one of those oxygen things.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, she said she has all that supplies for us, and there's like an altitude tea that you can drink that's supposed to help you.

SPEAKER_00:

Okay, is she like fully acclimated?

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, and the altitude sickness didn't hit her until like day six, so she's like, you might actually avoid it because I'm only there for three nights.

SPEAKER_00:

Okay, that's fun. I can't wait for your stories.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, I'm gonna learn how to speak Spanish.

SPEAKER_00:

While you're there? Yeah, three nights.

SPEAKER_01:

I'm gonna become back, I'm gonna come back and be a pro.

SPEAKER_00:

Did you? I guess you didn't probably take Spanish.

SPEAKER_01:

Yes, I did.

SPEAKER_00:

At home? Or call you Spanish?

SPEAKER_01:

I took I was video school, so Oh, okay. I learned Cristo me llama esto se Jesus loves me in Spanish.

SPEAKER_00:

Um Billy Scumpianos.

SPEAKER_01:

Aki.

SPEAKER_00:

Ati.

SPEAKER_01:

Ati. I'm uh we're going to like some four-story, five-story gay club, the biggest club in South America.

SPEAKER_00:

Fun.

SPEAKER_01:

That has a giant food court in the middle.

SPEAKER_00:

Hell yeah.

SPEAKER_01:

Why doesn't that exist here? A math a club with the food court? That's genius.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, because you get hungry. You get hungry. Is every floor a different vibe?

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, something it's one of those, which we do have in downtown LA.

SPEAKER_00:

I don't think I've ever been to one of those. I I always hear stories. It's like Nashville has them and all these places.

SPEAKER_01:

I just lied to your face. I have been to one.

SPEAKER_00:

Why did you lie?

SPEAKER_01:

Last year for uh pre for Pride.

SPEAKER_00:

Where? Downtown?

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, near downtown.

SPEAKER_00:

Didn't love it. I don't think you would like any bar downtown.

SPEAKER_01:

You have been to one. Halloween.

SPEAKER_00:

We all went to what year?

SPEAKER_01:

The f I don't know, the first year we were friends. What? That club where you and Chloe dressed as tourists.

SPEAKER_00:

I guess I was a little too drunk. I don't remember.

SPEAKER_01:

Every room was a different DJ with a different.

SPEAKER_00:

Oh, yes. It wasn't floors, it was rooms. But it was different. There was a 70s room.

SPEAKER_01:

Yes.

SPEAKER_00:

There were yes.

SPEAKER_01:

So it's that vibe, but bigger, bigger scale.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah. That's fun.

SPEAKER_01:

You can be like, I had enough of the CDM. But for me, it's gonna be like somehow I just know. If it's a gay club with multiple levels, it's just different house music, I'm sure.

SPEAKER_00:

And I hate that, but I love that for you.

SPEAKER_01:

Thank you.

SPEAKER_00:

What was I gonna ask? I had something.

SPEAKER_01:

Were you gonna ask?

SPEAKER_00:

Oh no, I wasn't gonna ask. I was going to update you. My sister texted me, and she was like, um, she said that she talks, tries to talk to us like while she's listening. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And she said she was like, um, when we were talking about why Ariana isn't at SoFi, and she says it's she thinks it's because the World Cup will be there.

SPEAKER_01:

Oh, well, hard to compete.

SPEAKER_00:

It is hard to compete. They need it.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00:

To be honest. So she believes that that is why Ariana isn't at SoFi.

SPEAKER_01:

Dylan offered me a ticket to Ariana today.

SPEAKER_00:

Oh my gosh. Wait, he got them?

SPEAKER_01:

I was offered two tickets.

SPEAKER_00:

Okay. Amazing.

SPEAKER_01:

No.

SPEAKER_00:

Is it bad seats?

SPEAKER_01:

No, it's amazing seats.

SPEAKER_00:

Oh, offered like you still have to buy it.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00:

How much?

SPEAKER_01:

$1,500 each. I said, hi. No.

SPEAKER_00:

That's crazy.

SPEAKER_01:

I was like, I have debts that go before a$1,500 Argonne ticket. Sorry about that.

SPEAKER_00:

Do you have to pa pay for it now? Could you when is it? It's next June.

SPEAKER_01:

And yes, I would. And no, I mean I can't do that.

SPEAKER_00:

You're like, get me a brand deal. Yeah, which that pays that much.

SPEAKER_01:

We may have, I'll say that off air, but there could be potential for some new streams of revenue. Love. But I'm not gonna spend it on Ariana Grande. I'm gonna pay for it.

SPEAKER_00:

That is like it feels it feels reckless.

SPEAKER_01:

I mean, I didn't even spend that much on Taylor.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01:

And I went twice to Taylor.

SPEAKER_00:

You did? And she was in the movie. Did you guys know?

SPEAKER_01:

Guys, I'm in the Airs tour. I didn't and I spent 280 on Gaga.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah. Like honestly, that's kind of the limit.

SPEAKER_01:

Totally. It really is. Totally.

SPEAKER_00:

Because the more we the more people will spend, it's never gonna go down. Like you have to like boycott. And we learned that boycotting works. Yeah. So you kind of have to be like, no, I'm not doing it.

SPEAKER_01:

Period.

SPEAKER_00:

And then it will be cheaper. Supply and demand, right? Am I right?

SPEAKER_01:

Amen, sister.

SPEAKER_00:

Speaking of movies, kind of two things. One, James Vanderbeek. Did you see that video picture of him or video?

SPEAKER_01:

I didn't realize I was that sick.

SPEAKER_00:

I didn't either. I didn't know he had cancer at all. I just I'm not tapped into James Vanderbeek news, I suppose. But um there was a Dawson's Creek reunion that just happened and James couldn't attend because I think it it wasn't like because of the cancer, they said they said he was had an illness that I think probably just is exacerbated because of the cancer, or if he's doing chemo or whatever, but he wasn't able to be there. This was weird that they sent Lynn Manuel Miranda and his That I didn't know. His replacement was Lynn Manuel Miranda. I don't know, I haven't seen any videos, so I need to know what that means. Like because it was on stage, like it was like not like a televised thing. Right.

SPEAKER_01:

Was Michelle Williams there?

SPEAKER_00:

I believe so, yeah. And at the beginning, they were singing the intro. I saw like a little thing of that, but then like, are they acting out things? Are is it just a QA? Are they watching the things in Brim and Missing? But like, why would Lynn need to be there?

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, was he hosting it?

SPEAKER_00:

Because like, remember when Maybe, but why wouldn't they just say hosted by Lynn Manuel Miranda, not replaced? James Vanderbeek was replaced by Lynn Manuel Miranda.

SPEAKER_01:

Maybe they reenacted. Because like, remember the Friends Reunion on HBO Max? They did do some, like they read some of the table read thing, yeah. So maybe it was like that.

SPEAKER_00:

I do need to look into it, but the uh still of him in that video is so sad. He's just so tiny and not like so gaunt, like his face. Is that the right word? Yeah, yeah, it's sad. It makes me think sad. Dawson's Creek was my life for a few years in high school. So funny. I had my little TV in my room that had the built-in VHS player, and I had the no DVD player, and I had the box, the series set, and every night I would fall asleep to Dawson's Creek.

SPEAKER_01:

And I would watch them also, but I only watched a few episodes and it was with you.

SPEAKER_00:

Maybe you should go back and watch it. I feel like that's honestly Gilmore Girls vibes? No.

SPEAKER_01:

It doesn't feel like fall?

SPEAKER_00:

No. Oh it doesn't feel like Katie Holmes there? I think so. Let me double check. That's not the right one.

SPEAKER_01:

Miss Holmes, if you're nasty.

SPEAKER_00:

Due to two stomach viruses, is what Oh my god, James. There's Michelle Williams.

SPEAKER_01:

Wasn't Miss Busy there too?

SPEAKER_00:

Busy Phillips was I saw Busy, I saw Michelle. There was another person that was blonde that I don't know who it was. Kimberly and the little ones joined James's former co-stars, including Katie Holmes, Joshua Jackson, Michelle Williams.

SPEAKER_02:

Okay.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, Josh Jackson and Katie were like looking at each other really cute, and I was like, uh spoiler alert.

SPEAKER_01:

No, I knew about that. I know about that.

unknown:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, but I don't think it feels like any certain season.

SPEAKER_01:

Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_00:

It just it feel because it goes through all the seasons because it's just so many years of their life. To me, it feels I don't know. It doesn't feel like fault to me. But I think maybe you should give it a try.

SPEAKER_01:

Just like you with the Elmore Girls, I'll put it under the maybe category.

unknown:

Okay.

SPEAKER_00:

Maybe.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00:

And then the other like movie thing that I was gonna say is Kanye's documentary has come out.

SPEAKER_01:

Saw the trailer.

SPEAKER_00:

I didn't know that it was like in theaters.

SPEAKER_01:

Oh, I didn't know that either.

SPEAKER_00:

I won't be I was like, oh, I'm interested in watching because like I just am so curious at like what's going on over there because all I hear are is the you know, really negative things and like not interested in him, but like I am like documentaries are just so interesting. But one produced by him, like how I don't know, yeah, like how real is everything, like not being the narrative not being spun like in his favor, you know what I mean? Yeah, and two, I don't really want to give him money, yeah. But also I'm curious, it's just like uh he's so he's gone through so many eras that I can't have never been able to keep up, and but I'm definitely not going to the movie theater. So I guess I don't care to watch, but yeah, I did look up on Rotten Tomatoes and it had like 85% audience, I think. I don't think I saw a critic rating yet. Okay, I think it just came out like a couple days ago. I don't know how long it takes, it didn't have anything in there. So I'm interested in what people think, but we'll see. The trailer did look crazy.

SPEAKER_01:

The trailer, I was like, whoa, I would watch this, yeah.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, and I wonder the like wasn't there a fight with um Chris. Yeah. And I did see one that was said that um Kim was like crying, but I didn't see her crying. I think that was just like a clickbait title. Oh but I don't know, it's like it's a lot.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00:

And actually, the more I think about it, definitely don't want to give it my money. But I don't know. The people's minds are interesting to me.

SPEAKER_01:

They sure are.

SPEAKER_00:

I think my notes are funny. Stub my toe and it's purple Stub my toe so bad it's purple.

SPEAKER_01:

Ouch!

SPEAKER_00:

Are you ready for? It's time for the week.

SPEAKER_01:

Good job.

SPEAKER_00:

Thank you.

SPEAKER_01:

That was really great.

SPEAKER_00:

I actually don't have one, but I knew it was time.

SPEAKER_01:

Okay, mine is? It's a VJ. Oh my god, I had a song recommendation too. Hold on. Oh my god, it looked Oh! Okay. There is what is his name? Column Callum.

SPEAKER_00:

Do I need to look up something?

SPEAKER_01:

Yes. A duet of I Wanna Dance With Somebody just came out. It's with Whitney Houston and Colum Call Callum some British dude.

SPEAKER_00:

Callum Scott.

SPEAKER_01:

Callum Scott. It is hauntingly beautiful. And it's a male and female duet with Whitney's raw vocal over like a ballad. It's a ballad.

SPEAKER_00:

So that's been like he's gay. Love that.

SPEAKER_01:

Is that why? Is that what you pictured?

SPEAKER_00:

He looks like a country artist.

SPEAKER_01:

He does. He's British. British. It's I cannot stop listening to it.

SPEAKER_00:

It's your happier than ever.

SPEAKER_01:

What?

SPEAKER_00:

It's your Kelly Clarkson's Happier Than Ever. Yes. Which I listened to on the way over here because I've decided that I want to quarry, I want to teach a dance class.

SPEAKER_01:

Are you going to teach at Devon's again?

SPEAKER_00:

Yes. Probably in maybe the end of October or November.

SPEAKER_02:

Okay.

SPEAKER_00:

Um, and I was like, I think I want to do like a contemporary class and I want to do that song.

SPEAKER_01:

I love that. So that's your A-list of the week then.

SPEAKER_00:

Well, that's my A-list of the century. But that is your happier than ever.

SPEAKER_02:

It is.

SPEAKER_00:

No, I was gonna say, I on the way over here, I was listening to Cardi's new album. And it is good. I haven't, I don't think I made it all the way through, and I really was just doing my initial vibe check of like what's the vibe of each song. And although I do love a, you know, banger of like things she's released, like as singles and stuff, love a wop, love a wop.

SPEAKER_01:

Oh, up.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, things like that. Like I do love those just because it's fun to sing and dance to. I do think the vibe um is different and it feels like I don't know what the category it is. What would you say?

SPEAKER_01:

It feels more pop to me, honestly.

SPEAKER_00:

But everything is kind of like slow and vibey.

SPEAKER_01:

Did you like the one with Selena?

SPEAKER_00:

Yes. Good. I like that one. That one is more upbeat, but there are a lot of slower tracks. Like the one with Kalon Kalani is cool.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00:

So I, you know, I haven't listened to every song. I think I'm oh no, maybe I did. I think it but it was a quick listen. But I do I like what I hear.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, sold a million copies. Work. Go hurt.

SPEAKER_00:

And she's pregnant.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00:

She's so cool.

SPEAKER_01:

She announced it to Gail.

SPEAKER_00:

The bodega song is cool.

SPEAKER_01:

Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01:

I'm a fan. I like it.

SPEAKER_00:

Same.

unknown:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00:

Are you ready for birth birthdays? Happy birthday to Halsey.

SPEAKER_01:

It's so crazy you said that because I was just thinking about her.

SPEAKER_00:

Right now in this moment?

SPEAKER_01:

I said Cardi B sold a million copies. It made me think of Halsey, how I saw a TikTok about her, how she was like very upset that she's not selling a lot of records.

SPEAKER_00:

Is it her label?

SPEAKER_01:

No, it's just because she did kind of an indie concept album that didn't sell a lot, and they're punishing her for it, and it sucks because she's a good artist.

SPEAKER_00:

But yeah, she was.

SPEAKER_01:

She turned 34, 33?

SPEAKER_00:

31.

unknown:

Baby.

SPEAKER_00:

She's young. Yeah. Iris from Love Island. I know you don't know her, but some of the listeners probably do. She's 26. Wow. But you do know this person. Nicholas Galzantine? Galantine? From Red White and Royal Blue, he is 31.

SPEAKER_01:

Uh, fine, he's in that gay movie we love. But even better.

SPEAKER_00:

What?

SPEAKER_01:

I don't know the name of it. That movie with Anne Hathaway, where he plays a young boy band member, and she That's him? Yes, as a Brevet.

SPEAKER_00:

Oh, I didn't know that. He's Harry Styles.

SPEAKER_01:

Yes. And she's Olivia Wilde.

SPEAKER_00:

I didn't know that was him.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah. Ooh, I want to watch that again.

SPEAKER_00:

Yes. Chrissy Metz. Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_01:

How old?

SPEAKER_00:

45.

SPEAKER_01:

Nice. Did you see the thing about Hunting Wives, by the way?

SPEAKER_00:

The wig?

SPEAKER_01:

No. I mean, yes, that way that was funny. But how so I guess work is still hard for actors right now. It's like hard for them to get work.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01:

So all these actors were can like the leads were convinced to do this show because it was going to stars.

SPEAKER_00:

Okay.

SPEAKER_01:

And kind of under the guise of like, um stars is still a thing? Exactly. So they're saying it's like, who has a stars subscription?

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01:

But it is still a thing and they have a lot of money. So they all got six salaries and thought, okay, fine, we'll be tots out for this whole thing. It's going to be on stars. Like, no one's going to watch it. And then truly, the week of that it was supposed to like all the initiatives were going to stars, stars pulled out. Netflix came in.

SPEAKER_00:

Dang.

SPEAKER_01:

Great for visibility, but then all of the actors were like, a lot more people are going to see our tots. Yep. Well, pretty interesting.

SPEAKER_00:

That is interesting. Yeah. A couple more interesting facts now that you say that is we just alluded to this, is that um Malin, what's her last name?

SPEAKER_01:

I don't know. Her.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah. Redheaded uh one on Hunting Wives. She was saying that the because people were talking about her wig and how it wasn't great.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00:

And she was like, Well, I made I they had this like really good wig made for me and like it looked perfect. And something happened.

SPEAKER_01:

What happened that when it showed up, it was manufac it was like no, something about the it didn't fit right.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, the wig that they had made didn't work, and they had to just like find a wig really fast because they were like shooting that day, and they just found one in the makeup tent and just put it on her, and they were like, Well, we gotta make this work. And so then that became what she had to be. So it wasn't supposed to be that.

SPEAKER_01:

Until the episode that she's getting her hair done in the living room.

SPEAKER_00:

Oh, that's so smart. They should have done that way earlier.

SPEAKER_01:

Well, that was they didn't shoot it in order either, I don't think. All the way in order.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah. I guess like what would be the need for that?

SPEAKER_01:

So like there was never supposed to be that scene. They added it so that they could transition it to the new wig.

SPEAKER_00:

That's really smart. It was wow.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00:

And then I just saw an interview of Brittany Snow.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00:

And she was talking about how she wasn't, she did the um audition for hairspray. Did you see this? She was doing an interview. Yeah, she was doing the interview or the um, she auditioned for hairspray and she said it went really badly. And like she her voice cracked singing, she didn't do the reading well, like she was just really in her head and she had a really bad audition. And then she talked to the director who is someone we all know, but I can't remember his name. And he was like, Yeah, that wasn't great. And he was like, It really sucks because we just signed on Michelle Pfeiffer to meet the mom character, and that would have been really cool if she was your mom. Yeah, yeah. And which is so mean to say on the phone to someone. And so she like they hung up, and then she was she remembered that she had seen a psychic that told her that she was going to work on a project with Michelle Pfeiffer and she was gonna be her mother. And she was like, I called him back up and I told him that. And I was like, please give me another chance. Like this, my psych, the psychic told me this, like, this has to happen.

SPEAKER_01:

So she was like, I know that this is gonna sound crazy. And he was like, Yeah, yeah, it does sound crazy, but he gave her another shot.

SPEAKER_00:

And he was like, All right, you we'll get you another audition, and then she booked it, which is like a really fun, yeah. Uh story for you know, it is hairspray heads, yeah. Which I haven't seen in a while, and I would love ultra clutch heads. Yes, ultra clutch hairspray. Well, if you oh no, there's more, there's more. Big mouth. I know you just did a premiere with them that premiered first in 2017. Wow. And then we have talked about this movie, I think, like for the past three episodes or something. I remember the Titans.

SPEAKER_01:

Wow, yeah.

SPEAKER_00:

Premiered on this day in 1998. 2000.

SPEAKER_01:

Oh, okay, close.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah. So I thought that was apropos. I needed to say apropos.

SPEAKER_01:

25 years old.

SPEAKER_00:

Thank you everyone for watching. Um and thank you for listening. Thank you for listening. Hopefully, there'll be like more. I literally searched for interesting things, and there was not a lot.

SPEAKER_01:

Well, it's because unfortunately, in this week and leave in, there's just so much going on in the political climate right now that that's really what's flooding.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01:

Like page six had we're trying to be uh bright, light, fun.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah. So we don't want to talk about, although we did talk about it today, but it was like a ingest, I suppose. And we want to be happy. So hopefully someone can give us something exciting and nice to talk about next week.

SPEAKER_01:

We're getting into spooky season, so fun. And yeah.

SPEAKER_00:

Can't wait.

SPEAKER_01:

Cannot wait.

SPEAKER_00:

Thanks for watching. We love you guys so much.

SPEAKER_01:

Have a good night. Day.

SPEAKER_00:

Bye. Whatever time.

People on this episode
