SPEAKER_01Okay, on the count of three, start singing your let's try to let's try to sing the exact same Christmas song.
SPEAKER_02Oh my gosh.
SPEAKER_01Look me in the eyes.
SPEAKER_02The exact same?
SPEAKER_01Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on. I'm saying the title of it. The count of three, ready? One, two, three. Jingle bell. Jingle bell.
SPEAKER_02Merry little Christmas. I want a little more at beat that thing.
SPEAKER_01You did, you did. Well, I should have thought too, because you're also jingly over there. Do you like my pom-pom?
SPEAKER_02I do. You look like a a a Who that's also a breakdancer.
SPEAKER_01I bet those existed in Whoville.
SPEAKER_02Probably. Did you see Taylor Momsen on the Thanksgiving Day parade?
SPEAKER_00Where are you Christmas?
Taylor Momsen, Cindy Lou Who, And Music Glow-Ups
SPEAKER_02But so many. Are we recording?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it's just zoomed in.
SPEAKER_02Okay. So many people didn't know who she was and what was going on. And like I get that because what a random year for Taylor Momson. Yeah, it is kind of, I don't know. It's not like an anniversary of seeing Where Are You Christmas? But in her like Taylor Momson Screamo, like black eyes, whatever. Have you seen her like this video? Smoked her smoky eye.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. That she's had since Gossip Girl.
SPEAKER_02Um, no, I knew she made like Screamo version of it, right? That was that.
SPEAKER_01Screamo's just like rock.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. World is changing. And she's been, I feel like she's, you know, she's been doing her the music for a while.
SPEAKER_01She's been doing the music. She's in a band.
SPEAKER_02She is in a band. But I think like a lot of people, first if you didn't watch Gossip Girl and you just know her, knew her as Cindy Lou Hu, and you were like, you know, I wonder what Cindy Lou Who is doing these days. And then you, it's like a jump scare to what she is now. If you watched uh Gossip Girl, you got the transition because she became her look now in Gossip Girl. Did you watch Gossip Girl?
SPEAKER_01No, just like culturally, I'm aware.
SPEAKER_02I feel like you should go back and watch it.
SPEAKER_01I know the I know who he is. She is.
SPEAKER_02Hey, who spoiler alert.
SPEAKER_01Damn.
SPEAKER_02I know, but it's just like it's one of those things. I feel like you would also like love to make fun of it.
SPEAKER_01Are you doing the 12 days of Vlogmas?
SPEAKER_02Um, yeah, I think so. I saw so many people like randomly are doing like all of the days of Vlogmas, like started yesterday or two days ago, like day one of Vlogmas.
SPEAKER_01Isn't it the first 12 days? Is that what I no?
SPEAKER_02A lot of people do the whole month, but I can't keep up with that. That's too many days.
SPEAKER_01You just do 12 days, you don't have them in a row necessarily.
SPEAKER_02No, I normally do the 12 days leading up to Christmas. Oh, but I thought you were to do the whole month, like, is actually wild. If you don't have your like if you're someone who has an editor for you and stuff like that, then that's some I I'm gonna have to take this off.
SPEAKER_01You think? Keep talking. Just do it.
SPEAKER_02No, just for my sanity, it's we definitely hear it, but I think it's cute.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_02Um for my sanity, like I it the 12 doing 12 days is like my breaking point. Okay. Because I'm also not cool, like cool enough.
SPEAKER_01I'm not doing these limiting beliefs you place in the streets.
SPEAKER_02No, no, I'm just saying, like, I'm not doing enough things. Like, I'm actively like trying to find things to do every day, every day of those 12 days because I'm like, what am I doing?
SPEAKER_01And all these other people sweat sessions, videos, six flags perhaps.
SPEAKER_02But my I mean, yes, there's like days like that, but most of the days are just like sitting editing for like the whole day. Okay, true. So I don't know.
SPEAKER_01But I will be doing the halls, tell all your girls and friends.
Holiday Travel And Big Bear Getaway
SPEAKER_02Tell all you tell all your now you've followed the halls, tell all your fam and friends.
SPEAKER_01It's the 12 days of Vlogmas with Allison.
SPEAKER_02I do need to like start now and figure out my what's the plan? That and figure out like a video intro.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and you have this new vlog camera, so it's gonna make it really easy.
SPEAKER_02I know. I'm so excited to have my phone now while I'm vlogging.
SPEAKER_01Yes, that does make a big difference. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02And I want to clear out my phone. It's got so much on it that King needs to go. Anyway. I'm Allison, he's Alex.
SPEAKER_01That's the later days. And that's Santa. You hear me? Happy holidays.
SPEAKER_02Happy holidays. Merry Christmas, we're Mary Hanawana Kwansmas. That's not how they say it.
SPEAKER_01Mary Kwanawana Hansmas.
SPEAKER_02Chrismaquanzica. What? Yeah. No. What? Who said that? Chrismaquanzica.
SPEAKER_01Hanawana Kwansmas.
SPEAKER_02Hana Hanukkah. What's Wana?
SPEAKER_01I I don't know.
SPEAKER_02But that's what are we trying to hit here? Christmas, Kwanzaa, Hanukkah. Just the three?
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02So Chris Maquanzica really hits them.
SPEAKER_01You made that up?
SPEAKER_02No.
SPEAKER_01That's what they say?
SPEAKER_02That's what they say.
SPEAKER_01I'm pretty sure it's Hanawana Kwanzmas. Who's the?
SPEAKER_02Okay, I like it.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Well, I like yours too. Oh my god, don't look. Thanks. My cheat here.
SPEAKER_02Literally was looking at it.
SPEAKER_01Looking at every line.
SPEAKER_02Looking at my computer. Oh god. I have nothing prepared because I had the day wrong.
SPEAKER_01So for this Christmas, where will you be, Allison?
SPEAKER_02At my apartment.
SPEAKER_01I meant like in general. You're in California.
SPEAKER_02Oh, I'll be in California. Yeah. I'll be uh we'll have gone. Wait, what day has this come out? The 22nd? So this past three days, I will have been in Big Bear.
SPEAKER_01Cannot wait to hear about that.
SPEAKER_02I'm excited. I told you what we were staying, right?
SPEAKER_00Yes. And we we walked by those. Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I'm excited.
SPEAKER_00Very cute.
SPEAKER_02And I did bring up the coaster and sledding, and it was positive feedback. Okay, good. So hopefully that happens.
SPEAKER_01It should happen. Um well since it's a holiday episode and it's a Christ it's the week of Christmas here in the United States. Christmas. Christmas here in the United States.
SPEAKER_02Well, Christmas happens in the world, too. Just for Christian people.
SPEAKER_01Christians.
SPEAKER_02Christian Christians or people who just want to celebrate Santa Claus.
TikTok Beat Games And Content Ideas
SPEAKER_01This is a good Christmas if you celebrate. And if you don't, it still is that week, this week. And so we're going to have a little bit of a shorter episode and kind of gonna play some. I'm well, I've prepared a trivia game for Allison that is starts out easy and then gets very hard.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_01But I think I'm gonna just mix the questions around. I think I'm just gonna give you a mix of some easy and some hard, and we'll see what happens. But first, I'm gonna talk to you about a TikTok trend that I'm gonna try in the next couple days, currently, which will probably be out by the time this episode comes out. Have you been served these videos where you have to say the picture in time?
SPEAKER_02In time.
SPEAKER_01It like puts up eight photos and you have and there's a a beat going, and you have to say the pictures in the beat. And it's like it's like sheep, cow, duck, chicken, cow, duck, chicken, cow.
SPEAKER_02No, I've not seen this at all.
SPEAKER_01Addicting. And like, no, I've only seen one person. Have you tried it?
SPEAKER_02Oh, you're about to try it.
SPEAKER_01No, I have tried it. There's just tons of them. They're so fun and like addicting. And it's five rounds, and it's just like easy to hard.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_01And now brands are starting to make them. And this is all happening in the last like week. But I've only found one person because you can't stitch it because like you have to hear. You know, if you stitch, it's only the first like five seconds. Yeah. But if you duet, there's no sound.
SPEAKER_02Correct, which is so annoying.
SPEAKER_01So I have to like download the video I want to use and then edit this in final cut. But I'm gonna do it because like the one curl that that has that I have found that did it has gone viral, and it's exactly what I want to do with it, which is just like film yourself trying to say these things in time. And it's like it makes you want to do it. So I was like, I think it's gonna be like I want to see that.
SPEAKER_02I've not seen that. Have you did you ever participate in the counting one?
SPEAKER_00We and you did it.
SPEAKER_02We did oh we did it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02That was so long ago. One, two, three, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. Two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. Three, four, five, six, seven, eight. Four five six seven eight. Five six seven eight.
SPEAKER_01We already did six. Eight nine.
SPEAKER_02Oh, sorry. Six seven.
Holiday Menu Stress And Traditions
SPEAKER_01Um I also want to film a TikTok with you that I'll tell you about afterward, but I think it'll be fun. But um, did you have anything you want to talk about before we get into this crimace quiz?
SPEAKER_02No, I just hope that this year for Christmas I get an engagement ring.
SPEAKER_01I knew it.
SPEAKER_02Um, no, I just hope that everyone has a wonderful holiday time with their families.
SPEAKER_01I don't know.
SPEAKER_02Um, no, but I need to figure out what I'm making for Christmas Eve and Christmas to eat.
SPEAKER_01For just you?
SPEAKER_02And Josh.
SPEAKER_01Oh, you guys are spending it together.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Well, that makes sense.
SPEAKER_02If I was spending it alone, I would hope that you would be scooping me up.
SPEAKER_01I would never let you be alone.
SPEAKER_02No, um, I yeah, I need to like in advance be like, okay, what are we having for dinner, Christmas Eve, and then what are we having for breakfast? Probably like a breakfast, like brunch type thing, and then a dinner.
SPEAKER_01Allison loves an egg casserole.
SPEAKER_02Oh, I'm making that. That's like, he won't be eating that though.
SPEAKER_01Right. I remember this last year. He's not, it's not his thing.
SPEAKER_02No, he hates eggs, and it's like mostly egg and like sausage and whatever. So I will just be making that because that's a tradition from my family. My grandma used to make this like egg cheese sausage casserole. Like it's like pretty silly. Um, but yeah, I don't know what what's like something to have because obviously I'm not making like turkey. I know a lot of people eat the same foods from Thanksgiving, also on Christmas. It's like the same kind of turkey and mashed potatoes and things like that.
SPEAKER_01Ham.
SPEAKER_02I'm not I don't know how to make ham.
SPEAKER_01Ham. You gotta try it.
unknownI've tried ham.
SPEAKER_02And I'm not trying to make ham for the first time. Okay. Yeah, last year I made wings.
SPEAKER_01That's perfect. You should do that again. That could be your guys' tradition.
SPEAKER_02Just wings? It's kind of like a lot of dishes. It doesn't matter. If you guys have any any suggestions, any suggestions, I have like, just give me some.
SPEAKER_01Line them up. Let's see.
SPEAKER_02All right, hit me with this quiz.
Christmas Trivia: Movies And Music
SPEAKER_01Okay, so okay, Allison. This is a holiday quiz.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_01And you at home, try try and answer. I also have a have a hint for each one in case there's an issue. I'm gonna go, I'm gonna start easy, but like guys, try to answer quicker than Allison, which may be hard. Maybe easy.
SPEAKER_02I'm so quick.
SPEAKER_01Um pardon me. I just want to make sure. Okay, good. Okay, here we go. We're gonna start out easy. Allison, in which movie does a young boy defend his home from burglars on Christmas Eve?
SPEAKER_02Home alone.
SPEAKER_01Okay, great.
SPEAKER_02Imagine I didn't know that.
SPEAKER_01Well in Die Hard. Have you seen it?
SPEAKER_02Literally saw it for the first time last year, and do I remember it? Not right really.
SPEAKER_01Well, let's put it to the test. In diehard, what is the name of the skyscraper where the Christmas Eve takeover occurs?
SPEAKER_02Is it a real skyscraper?
SPEAKER_01Hint. It's a Japanese corporation.
SPEAKER_02Uh it's a brand I would know? Yes. Like Yamaha?
SPEAKER_01Or that's a good guess, but Suzuki? What car do I drive?
SPEAKER_02Hyundai? What do you drive? Honda?
SPEAKER_01I don't know.
SPEAKER_02Hmm. I don't know.
SPEAKER_01Nakatomi Plaza.
SPEAKER_02Nakatomi? That's not the car you drive.
SPEAKER_01No, I was just trying to throw you off.
SPEAKER_02Don't you drive a Suzuki or something?
SPEAKER_01No, Mitsubishi.
SPEAKER_02Oh, Mitsubishi. Okay, I would have never known that. But honestly, I gave a good guess.
SPEAKER_00You did give a good guess.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Which pop star released the hit song Santa Tell me?
SPEAKER_02Santa Tell Me if you're building there. Ariana Grande.
SPEAKER_01That's correct.
SPEAKER_02Oh, I was gonna say. We have a dance to that. It's pretty cute.
SPEAKER_01Oh yeah, it is cute. What singer is jokingly said to thaw every December?
SPEAKER_02Oh, Mariah Carey.
SPEAKER_01Wrong.
SPEAKER_02It's time! It's not Mariah?
SPEAKER_01It's not Mariah Carey.
SPEAKER_02Thaw.
SPEAKER_01It's a commonly common mistake. Hers is not thaw. Hers is like after hers is like something happens after Halloween. The day after Halloween. This is a different artist.
SPEAKER_02Thaw.
SPEAKER_01They jokingly thaw. And there's like Is it a guy? Yes.
SPEAKER_02It's Michael Buble.
SPEAKER_01Good job. You got there.
SPEAKER_02Buble.
SPEAKER_01Michael Buble. We're going back to the hard ones.
SPEAKER_02No one's thinking, sorry. Love you. Love you. Love you, Michael. I guess. No one's thinking about you. He is a voice of Christmas.
SPEAKER_01Like his songs are his songs are on my playlist for sure.
SPEAKER_02In terms of if you're like, who do we think of with Christmas music? Mariah's always gonna be first.
SPEAKER_01For sure. You're right.
SPEAKER_02And I am sorry to him about that.
SPEAKER_01Well, I hope you hear. I hope you hear me.
SPEAKER_02But he's doing fine.
SPEAKER_01He's doing fine. Um which 1980s pop star released the Christmas single Last Christmas as part of a duo?
SPEAKER_02Last Christmas. 1980s.
SPEAKER_01Do you want a hint?
SPEAKER_02Not yet. Okay. 1980s. Last Christmas I gave you my heart, but the very next day you gave it away. It's a is the duo a man and a woman?
SPEAKER_01No.
SPEAKER_02Two men?
SPEAKER_01Sounds gay. You wouldn't be wrong.
SPEAKER_02Are they gay?
SPEAKER_01Well.
SPEAKER_02No, I need a hint.
SPEAKER_01Um the duo name is an exclamation.
SPEAKER_02Wham.
SPEAKER_01Yes. George Michael gay.
SPEAKER_02And who's the other?
SPEAKER_01I don't know, but George Michael's gay.
SPEAKER_02He is. He's homosexual.
SPEAKER_01In Home Alone.
unknownYeah?
SPEAKER_01You're with me?
SPEAKER_02I thought you were gonna say Homo alone.
SPEAKER_01Huh?
SPEAKER_02I thought you were gonna say Homo Alone, because we it doesn't matter. I can't detail. In Homo Alone.
SPEAKER_01You're funny. In Home Alone, what fake gangster movie does Kevin watch that includes the line, keep the change, you filthy animal?
SPEAKER_02I don't know. I can't even begin to guess if it's fake.
SPEAKER_01The title parodies a 1930s gangster film.
SPEAKER_02Okay. 1930s? As if.
SPEAKER_01Well, your favorite genre of movies are from the 1930s. I say that. The answer is Angels with Filthy Souls.
SPEAKER_02That's the parody?
SPEAKER_01That's the name of the show.
SPEAKER_02What's the one that's parodying? Does it say?
SPEAKER_01No.
SPEAKER_02Um.
SPEAKER_01Um, and Harry Potter and The Sorcerer's Stone, do you know it?
SPEAKER_02I do. Well.
SPEAKER_01What Christmas gift does Harry receive that later becomes iconic?
SPEAKER_02His um.
SPEAKER_00You're right.
SPEAKER_02His broom. His sweater. He gets a sweater from Ron's mom. That comes becomes iconic?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but that's not the answer.
SPEAKER_02That's not the answer. In the sort that's the first one.
SPEAKER_01Do you want a hint? Yeah, but I'm it belongs to his father. James. Yeah, James.
SPEAKER_02Hmm. Is it a book? I don't remember.
SPEAKER_01I thought he got a clothing item.
SPEAKER_02Oh, the clothes. Yes. That was a Christmas gift? Oh, I didn't. I thought that was just like you just got that.
SPEAKER_01No. Next, what is the name of the villainous winter spirit in Rise of the Guardians?
SPEAKER_02Rise of the Guardians. Hold on.
SPEAKER_01What is Rise of the Guardians?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, what?
SPEAKER_01I was reading this like, hold on. The answer is pitch black.
SPEAKER_02I don't know that, but what's Rise of the Guardians?
SPEAKER_01I don't know. I asked for a Christmas movie quiz.
SPEAKER_02I gotta look this up. Generation after generation, immortal guardians like Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, and the Tooth Fairy protect the world's children from darkness and despair. However, an evil boogeyman named Pitch Black schemes to overthrow the Guardians. When did this come out? By obliterating children's belief in them. It falls to a winter sprite named Jack Frost to thwart Pitch's plans and save the Guardians from destruction. It is 2012.
SPEAKER_01Never heard of it.
SPEAKER_02Chris Pine, Jude Law, Hugh Jackman, Alec Baldwin, Isla Fisher. Oh my God. Peter Rams.
SPEAKER_01Is it claymation?
SPEAKER_02No, it looks um. Can you turn your computer?
SPEAKER_01Oh, I have seen that type that now that I see it, but I've never seen it. I have not. Alright, moving on. In the nightmare before Christmas.
SPEAKER_02I've never seen it. So just.
SPEAKER_01Okay, we're gonna move on. We'll see.
SPEAKER_02We'll see.
SPEAKER_01Okay. I wouldn't have known this answer. So in the nightmare before Christmas, Jack mistakes Christmas town for what?
SPEAKER_02Hell. No, I don't know.
SPEAKER_01A place full of happiness and joy or something new and bright would have been an acceptable answer.
SPEAKER_02Okay. I know that's like one of my downfalls, is I've never seen that. And actually this year I want to make it a point to watch it, and you should too.
SPEAKER_01Listen, two nights ago, three nights, three nights ago, boyfriend's like, You haven't seen it, we must watch it. 30 seconds in, he goes, actually, uh, this isn't the vibe. That's what happens every year. I try to. When is it the vibe? I don't know. Because it's one of my favorite rides at Disney, but like I couldn't tell you a thing about it.
SPEAKER_02No, I just know, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, only I never make it past the first song. I'm always like, huh. Anyway, I'd love a chocolate chip cookie. You know, and I'm out.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I don't know when to watch it. Yeah. I've actually just never tried, but I will try this year.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Which pop singer released a Christmas album in 2000 titled Merry Christmas, Have a Nice Life?
SPEAKER_02Oh my gosh. Merry Christmas, have a nice life. That's kind of mean sounding.
SPEAKER_01You want a hint?
SPEAKER_02Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_01The hint is girls just want to have fun.
SPEAKER_02Cindy Lauper?
SPEAKER_01That is correct.
SPEAKER_02Okay. I almost said Gwen Stefani.
SPEAKER_01What is the name of the magical bell that only believers can hear in the Polar Express?
SPEAKER_02I've only seen that once. I think I fell asleep. I don't know.
SPEAKER_01It's called the Silver Bell.
SPEAKER_02You're not doing great, so I'm going to give you an easy one. Okay, I was doing that. I started out really great.
SPEAKER_01You did.
SPEAKER_02And then you asked me a 1930s parody movie.
SPEAKER_01Um In the Santa Claus.
SPEAKER_02My favorite movie.
SPEAKER_01This is why I want to give you a boost.
SPEAKER_02What if I don't know what I'm scared?
SPEAKER_01In The Santa Claus, what color shirt is Santa wear? I'm kidding. In the Santa Claus, who accidentally becomes Santa after startling him on the roof?
SPEAKER_02Scott Calvin, obviously.
SPEAKER_01I mean, totally.
SPEAKER_02SC, Scott Calvin.
SPEAKER_01Yes, that's right. Now, this we just talked about Scott Calvin.
SPEAKER_02I want more of the I want more questions about that movie, but okay.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Um What creature terrorizes families in a dark Christmas film named after himself?
SPEAKER_02Krampus.
SPEAKER_01Good job. Which Christmas rom-com features the iconic airport final scene?
SPEAKER_02This is the Hollow. What's the airport final scene?
SPEAKER_01The hint is I don't I don't know why it's explained like that. It is, I mean, it is an iconic scene, but the hint is there are many storylines in this film. And I don't actually really like this movie. I think it's sad.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it's that one. What is it called? I don't think I like it either. Love actually. Love actually. Yeah. I think, yeah, I just think I was too young at first. Yeah, exactly. Yes. And then it kind of missed me. And then now I think I don't. I think I don't care.
SPEAKER_01In the Friends Holiday Armadillo episode.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_01Which character dressed up as the Holiday Armadillo?
SPEAKER_02Oh, Ross.
SPEAKER_01Full name?
SPEAKER_02Geller. Ross Geller. Yes.
SPEAKER_01What 2015 Christmas horror comedy features evil gingerbread men in a demonic jack in the box?
SPEAKER_022015? I don't know if I saw that one.
SPEAKER_01That's kind of a trick question. Because it's a you've already given this answer for one.
SPEAKER_02Krampus. Krampus. Which I haven't seen actually. I just know. Because again, I don't want to be I Christmas time is wholesome. I don't want horror.
SPEAKER_01You're right. Okay, this one is a is from one of your favorite shows.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_01What holiday beverage is the obsession of the character Eleanor in the good place?
SPEAKER_02Holiday beverage. Weird. Oh.
SPEAKER_01She meant hint is she mentions it.
SPEAKER_02She just really likes margaritas.
SPEAKER_01Hint is she mentions it constantly.
SPEAKER_02Holiday beverage. Is it hot cocoa or something? But she talks about margaritas constantly. She died, she died getting margarita mixed. She's always asking for margaritas. I don't know about this holiday beverage.
SPEAKER_01Eggnog.
SPEAKER_02What?
SPEAKER_01That's what it says.
SPEAKER_02I have watched The Good Place like six times all the way through. I don't remember her talking about eggnog at all.
SPEAKER_01Well then you weren't paying attention.
SPEAKER_02Eleanor?
SPEAKER_01Eleanor.
SPEAKER_02She is just wanting margaritas. That is something wrong with that.
SPEAKER_01We should fact check this one later.
SPEAKER_02We should.
SPEAKER_01What shh, excuse me? You're not gonna know that. Um, what iconic department store is central to Miracle on 34th Street? Which, by the way, I just watched for the first time. Cute.
SPEAKER_02It is cute, but it's just like old.
unknownWow.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Um, is it Macy's? Yes. Okay. I was gonna it was either Macy's or Saks.
SPEAKER_01Good job. Um which legendary singer voiced the conductor in the Polar Express?
SPEAKER_02Legendary singer, male or female?
SPEAKER_01This person is not a legendary singer, it's a legendary actor.
SPEAKER_02Do I I know them? Yeah. Again, I haven't seen it, so can you give me a hint?
SPEAKER_01This the hint is the same actor played multiple roles in the movie.
SPEAKER_02James Earl Jones.
SPEAKER_01Thomas Hanks.
SPEAKER_02Oh.
SPEAKER_01It says legendary singer, so we should fact check the egg on the.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, does he sing?
SPEAKER_01In which Christmas movie does a character say seeing isn't believing, believing is seeing.
SPEAKER_02Well, the character that says it originally is um don't tell me. Shush. Seeing isn't believing.
SPEAKER_01It's not asking the character, it's asking for the movie.
SPEAKER_02Oh, it's a Santa Claus, but I can give you the character. I just have to get her name. It's the little elf that gives him the chocolate milk, and her name is Judy.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_02I'm so good.
SPEAKER_01Also, we watched that again the other night. I'm like, yeah, this is like calls with attitudes still make me like I know. Like they're adults now, so it's okay that I say that. But like it reminds me of that time when I was a little being like, I know.
SPEAKER_02This guy follow Matt King, he's also a podcaster. He fully for Halloween made that whole suit.
SPEAKER_01Incredible.
SPEAKER_02Like, he made every part of it. It looked exactly like it. I'll show you.
SPEAKER_01I do I'd love to see that. And I have one more question.
SPEAKER_02Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_01And I don't know if you've seen this movie, but I certainly have. Probably haven't because I suck, but which Netflix holiday movie stars Vanessa Hudgens in three different roles?
SPEAKER_02Three different roles. Oh. Three different roles. Isn't she it's the princess? Um something about a princess. I don't know the full name, but it's something about a princess.
SPEAKER_01Okay, so I'm gonna give you a.
Odd Christmas Facts You Didn’t Know
SPEAKER_02She plays her like cousin, herself, and something, right?
SPEAKER_01The princess switch?
SPEAKER_02The princess switch.
SPEAKER_01But which one?
SPEAKER_02Oh, I think it's like three.
SPEAKER_01It is. Do you know what it's called though?
SPEAKER_02No.
SPEAKER_01The Princess Switch 3, Romancing the Star.
SPEAKER_02Cool.
SPEAKER_01I want you to go out on a high note, so I'm gonna give you one more.
SPEAKER_02Okay, thank you. And then I want to tell everyone a movie to watch.
SPEAKER_01Okay, good. Um, here we go, here we go, here we go. Who sings Merry Christmas, happy holidays? Originally.
SPEAKER_02Happy Holiday! That one? Merry Christmas.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Originally, god, the most popular version, if you ask me.
SPEAKER_02In sync? Yes. Who sings it outside of that?
SPEAKER_01Oh my god, so many people. The Pentatonics. Okay, Jesse J. Oh Christopher Brown.
SPEAKER_02Hmm. Justin Justice Beaver?
SPEAKER_01That I don't know.
SPEAKER_02He should.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02He needs to put out another Christmas album, and more people should be listening to Little Drummer Boy. Rump. Yeah, I'm on the bass drum. Oh. Yeah. Um, okay, so speaking of that terrible Vanessa Hudgens movie. Yeah. Um, everyone, this year, your task is to go watch the Hallmark movie with Christine de Million called The Snow Globe.
SPEAKER_01She loves this, and it's on Netflix.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. And it's bad.
SPEAKER_01Hold on. I want to just say it's not even a net, it's not even a Hallmark movie.
SPEAKER_02It's not. What is it? Lifetime? Oh, it's really bad. And then you can watch Hot Frosty.
SPEAKER_01I just finished binging. Which is also really good. And he was one of the judges. Is it cake holiday version? If you watch it, it just came out. Do you ever watch this show? I've watched it before. The caliber of celebrities they get to judge is bizarre.
SPEAKER_02Like I could be on it.
SPEAKER_01No, it's like they're very famous.
SPEAKER_02Oh, I thought you were saying they are like not very much.
SPEAKER_01Or it's like a mix. It's like one or two, there's always three. One or two are like, okay. Then one is like, how'd you get Kristen Bell?
SPEAKER_02Probably because she would like told her agent, she was like, I want to be on that.
SPEAKER_01Or like Lacey Chaubert was in the finale, but that makes sense. She is like a she is the hallmark queen. Yeah. I wonder if it's people that are in Netflix movies, it's like part of a deal. Because like he was in hot frosty. That's totally it. But they get them, they get the big names in there.
SPEAKER_02That's totally it. Yeah. Um what was I gonna say?
SPEAKER_01I don't know. I'm sorry. I got too jazzed about.
SPEAKER_02No, I I liked it. Those were all great. I also pulled up um some interesting facts. We have a couple minutes. Let me find something that sounds cool. The first artificial Christmas tree was made from dyed goose feathers. Ew.
SPEAKER_01What? I would love to see what that looks like, though.
SPEAKER_02There's not a picture of it.
SPEAKER_01I'm sure.
SPEAKER_02What do you think the best selling Christmas song of all time is?
SPEAKER_01Of all time?
SPEAKER_02Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_01Is it not Mariah Carey's All I Want for Christmas is you? Then Is It Rockin' Around by Brenda Lee? Of all time? White Christmas.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Being Crosby's White Christmas has sold more than 50 million copies worldwide.
SPEAKER_01Have you watched that yet?
SPEAKER_02No, that's more to me of like um Christmas Adam or Christmas Eve. Got it.
SPEAKER_01Closer to.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Yeah. Which, like, I think I need to watch it on my own. I don't think Josh cares.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02But I watched Die Hard last year, so.
SPEAKER_01Maybe I'll do that for you. Do you watch a Christmas story every year?
SPEAKER_02Oh no, sorry. I watched a Christmas story for him last year. Oh, I had seen it for the first time last year.
SPEAKER_01Oh, that's right. We talked about this. Yeah. Even though it takes place in Indiana. Bad.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Can't believe it.
SPEAKER_02Tinsel was invented in 1610 in Germany.
SPEAKER_01It's a German thing?
SPEAKER_02According to the fact file, tinsel was created in Nuremberg, Germany in 1610. At one point in history, it was even made out of real silver.
SPEAKER_01That seems careless.
SPEAKER_02That could that's money. You don't need to make that tiny and on the tree.
Birthdays, Releases, And Pop Culture Grab Bag
SPEAKER_01What year was it invented?
SPEAKER_021610. 1610 is.
SPEAKER_01That's crazy.
SPEAKER_02Ew. Spider rubs in your tree are good luck. I don't care. Get them out.
SPEAKER_01Get them out. You're not keeping a clean house.
SPEAKER_02Alabama was the first state to recognize Christmas. In 1836, Alabama became the first state to recognize Christmas as a state holiday, with Arkansas and Louisiana following suit. But it wasn't until 1870 that President Grant declared Christmas a national holiday.
SPEAKER_00Wow. What year?
SPEAKER_021836 was Alabama and then 1870 was National Holiday. Teddy Roosevelt outlawed Christmas trees in the White House.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Outlawed Christmas trees in the White House during his term, given that he was the a staunch environmentalist and said he celebrated the holiday with a church service and a family meal. All right. Fine, Teddy. Fine, fine. Fruitcake can last a lifetime.
SPEAKER_01That is true.
SPEAKER_02My dad likes it. The oldest fruitcake is 114 years old and it's been passed down from generation to generation. That's disgusting.
SPEAKER_01Just in its packaging, or do they eat it every year? I don't want to know.
SPEAKER_02They didn't say. What's the what do you think is the highest grossing holiday movie of all time?
SPEAKER_01Highest grossing holiday movie of all time. Highest grossing holiday movie of all time.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Is not White Christmas, but most likely it is Jingle All the Way starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. I'm kidding.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Oh my god, what would it be of all time? It's not the Polar Express, is it? Is it an animated film? It's a live action Christmas film. Is it diehard?
SPEAKER_02No, but I would you would think that.
SPEAKER_01I actually I don't know.
SPEAKER_02You do know.
SPEAKER_01I do. How old is it? Give me a range. R age. It's our age and it's the highest selling. It's Home Alone. Home Alone.
SPEAKER_02Well, Chris White Christmas and Miracle on 24th Street are the most popular Christmas movies. Home Alone holds the title as the highest grossing holiday film ever. That's cool.
SPEAKER_01Love that.
SPEAKER_02Alright.
SPEAKER_01Got any birthdays for us?
SPEAKER_02What's it? The 22nd?
SPEAKER_0122nd.

SPEAKER_02Jojo? Great question. No, she's older than that. I feel like she turned 21 a few years ago. She's 22. Her birthday's May 19th.
SPEAKER_01So they're 11 years apart. Wild.
SPEAKER_02I actually didn't realize that.
