Disney Trip Plans And Star Wars Land Rumors

SPEAKER_02

Okay, well we were just hello everyone. Welcome back to the C List podcast with Allison and Alex. I'm Alison. He's Alex. We were just planning our next Disney trip with our two newest cultures.

SPEAKER_00

We got two new recruits for the Disney.

SPEAKER_02

Oh my gosh, I just heard today I saw a uh TikTok, I think, where they are changing um Star Wars Land. They are redoing it to be the original storyline. So Darth Vader, no more Kylo Wren. So this the ride is gonna stay the same, but the world star like Galaxy's Edge will be there'll be no more Kylo Wren walking around. Um Vader. Like Ren uh Ray, I think you can meet like in special times, like in a special spot, but she's not gonna be walking around. And it'll be Darth Vader, it'll be Leia, it'll be Han. Like Han, yeah, all that. And they're changing some of the stores to reflect things there. Oh, and they're redoing um Olga's, Olga's, Olga's?

SPEAKER_00

Olga's?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, sure. Because it's like weathered now because it is years later, and now they're making it look new, like she just opened it.

SPEAKER_00

Wait.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

That doesn't make sense.

SPEAKER_02

It doesn't? Yeah, because in the way.

SPEAKER_00

Kylo Wren happen, yeah, that happens after.

SPEAKER_02

Kylo Wren is what's his name's son?

SPEAKER_00

Han Solo.

SPEAKER_02

Han Solo.

SPEAKER_00

Sorry, spoiler. Okay, I'm with you now. I got confused. So yeah, they're jumping back. So we one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine is the new ones.

SPEAKER_01

Yes.

SPEAKER_00

With Ray. And Ray is the daughter of.

SPEAKER_02

I don't think I know that yet. Don't tell me.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_02

I don't think I know that.

SPEAKER_00

Really?

SPEAKER_02

If I do, I have forgotten, and don't tell me right now. Alright, cool.

SPEAKER_00

Um now I understand. So they're gonna make the right the other thing.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, like we're going back in time.

SPEAKER_00

Does that mean we're gonna get better drinks?

SPEAKER_02

Maybe. I don't know.

SPEAKER_00

Remember my awful, like, what was it?

SPEAKER_02

It was like Oh, at o at Ogas. Yeah, it was like coffee, but it was really bitter, like citrusy. It wasn't good.

SPEAKER_00

And wasn't yours like an edible drink?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, it had edible foam.

SPEAKER_00

That's it, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

It was it was fun.

SPEAKER_00

Fun, but they weren't good. None of them were good.

SPEAKER_02

They're not good. They're not good.

SPEAKER_00

We got the chips in Guac. It was two chips and a tiny little dollop.

SPEAKER_02

They're not gonna be good. Regardless, they might do a new menu, but it's not gonna be good because they're always gonna make things higher sugar, higher whatever content, less alcohol content because they don't want people to get crazy.

SPEAKER_00

That's a good point.

SPEAKER_02

So they're never gonna be good.

SPEAKER_00

You're right.

SPEAKER_02

Gotta pull up my dog.

SPEAKER_00

Well, I'm excited for it, and I'm excited to have two new recruits.

SPEAKER_02

Guess what? You know that jacket I wanted from the 70th?

SPEAKER_00

Yes.

SPEAKER_02

I was like, uh, maybe I'll go buy it and I'll for my birthday or something.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_02

Completely sold out, and then everyone that's selling it.

SPEAKER_00

When are you selling it?

SPEAKER_02

It's so expensive.

SPEAKER_00

Was it from Box Lunch?

SPEAKER_02

No, it was from the Disney store.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, it was the Disney store.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Maybe it'll be replenished and we'll find it again.

SPEAKER_02

Maybe go at the end of the month. But maybe.

SPEAKER_00

Maybe.

SPEAKER_02

We'll see.

SPEAKER_00

Well, anyway, I will explain more to you when I give it to you because it's it's not vintage, I'll tell you right now. It was just right now, it ain't vintage.

SPEAKER_02

So remember how I wanted to do things on or I was selling on Depop.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

I decided I don't care anymore and I'm just gonna donate everything. I did someone bought something last night randomly. This has been up for months. I've sold two things.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_02

And I can't I don't have the space to hold. Right. And then if I had a spare room that I could put everything in and just like never think about it. And then if someone buys something cool, it takes up so much space in my closet that I'm going crazy. And I just thought it'll be flying off the shelves.

SPEAKER_00

Is it are we talking about clothes, accessories? Like what do you what are you selling? Clothes, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Just I there's some like vintage, if you will, fitness martial things that I used to wear in original videos.

SPEAKER_03

Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_02

There's just like a bunch of like crew necks that I or sweatshirts that I don't wear anymore. And I just thought, wow, these will be flying off the shelves.

SPEAKER_00

And fast, fast, fast. No.

SPEAKER_02

So the only thing I've sold is a Billie Eilish sweatshirt. That's like the one thing people cared about, but they didn't want to pay more than a few dollars for it.

SPEAKER_00

Because you can bet, not bet, bet, no, you can bid or just buy it right out, right?

SPEAKER_02

Correct. Like you can propose a different uh price, or you can buy what you can buy it from what I have listed.

SPEAKER_00

So you did inspire me, and I did buy something.

SPEAKER_02

On Depop? Yeah, and like the Now you can't stop, can you?

SPEAKER_00

Well, I think I can because I don't need to frivolously buy, but I was just like, I wonder what kind of Cedar Point stuff they'll have. Did you see the one I I did see the one that you sent me, yes. But I was like, I'm not trying to spend that. I just wanted to see. I found a hat from the seven eighties Cedar Point. Cute. Never worn. Eight dollars. That was the buy it now price.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, that's a good one. What I don't love, I wish that they had the shipping into the state. The shipping was$11. Yeah, that's the ship.

Merch FOMO And Vintage Hunting Wins

SPEAKER_00

But still, less than$20 for an 80s never worn. And it came today, and I was like, we'll see, and it's amazing.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, I love that.

SPEAKER_00

So I was like, okay.

SPEAKER_02

Well, to everyone listening, yeah. The Deepop's going away. ASAP. So I'll let I'll let this episode drop, and then within the next week, it will be shut down.

SPEAKER_00

And if you want her to autograph something, make sure you put that in the notes.

SPEAKER_02

Sure. Honestly, literally, because I do have some like little headshot cards. If you buy something for me and you tell me in the notes I want a signed thing, I will send it. I'll add that in the thing. And that's a that's a good deal. A week it's going away. Goodbye. And I can't care anymore because it's taking up. And I will donate it and someone will be so happy in the random shirt that I wore in like the random fitness marshall video. And I love that for them.

SPEAKER_00

I love that for them too. And for you. I spent I've spent about four hours every day since Monday. No, so I started this last Thursday. I was like, that's it. There's no room for my crossing. Um I was like, well, what was meant to be like just pull out my sweatshirts and go through them, turned into Thursday, a little bit on Thursday. I would say like three hours, and then four hours on Monday, four hours on Tuesday, six hours today.

SPEAKER_01

Oh my gosh.

SPEAKER_00

Today's Thursday, right?

SPEAKER_02

Today's Thursday.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, six hours today. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday. This is what I spent on it. I pulled everything out of the closet under my stairs. I've thrown away so much garbage, like just junk.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

There's things reorganized so now you can walk into that closet. Okay. Pulled everything out of my closet upstairs. Clothes. All the clothes. Pulled everything out of that cabinet at the top of my stairs.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Just and I was like, Alex, for real.

SPEAKER_01

How much?

SPEAKER_00

And I'm excited to show you. I have pile folded nicely piles upstairs of everything I'm getting rid of, and it's a ton.

SPEAKER_01

I love that.

SPEAKER_00

So you can go through the crew necks, you can go through the hoodies.

SPEAKER_02

I might need to do that.

SPEAKER_00

You can go through the hoodies.

SPEAKER_02

Um I will say another thing. Sorry, you can continue, but I have I was getting rid of those. I put on Depop those Queen Herbie sat shirts. I thought people would eat those up.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, well, you're talking about the crew neck ones, and those are expensive. I know to produce. I know. Which color do you have? The gray one?

SPEAKER_02

I have gray and pink. And I was like, wow, someone's gonna be so excited to see these on here.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. I'm really sorry about that.

SPEAKER_02

It's okay.

SPEAKER_00

But there are a bunch upstairs. I have one empty drawer. That's how much I got rid of. I have a full drawer available.

SPEAKER_01

What are you gonna put in there?

SPEAKER_00

Well, I just let Chad have another drawer.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, cute.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, because he had one and he's breasting at the seams.

SPEAKER_02

We don't really need to do that because we live so you live so freaking close. So there's no need when I first started like going over there, I was like, maybe I'll leave like a shirt here. And I think like to sleep in or something, and it might still be there because I never used it, because I either remembered to like bring something, bring a bag, or I was just like, I'll go home. So yeah, yeah. I don't there's no drawers to be had.

Depop Frustrations And Final Shutdown

SPEAKER_00

Well, damn. I also just to finish this, I was so productive. I was like, fine, I'm doing spring cleaning now, I guess. But also, like I know I'm gonna have to move in a couple months. So just trying to downsize, cleaned my whole garage, which I needed to do. Motivation for that is because we're gonna shoot in there. Yeah. But I didn't realize like how much pictures not guns means. We're gonna be shooting pictures, not guns. So my house is like in the best shape it's ever been in, even like after I moved in. You remember everything sat in the middle of this room for like two months.

SPEAKER_01

Well, yeah, there was things to be done.

SPEAKER_00

Did we podcast around that?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

We did?

SPEAKER_02

I believe so.

SPEAKER_00

I need to go back and look at those videos because I'm sure it looked atrocious.

SPEAKER_02

We definitely didn't. It wasn't in the show.

SPEAKER_00

I had no couch for like three months. Were we in chairs? I have no memory.

SPEAKER_02

I actually have no memory either. I never have a memory though.

SPEAKER_00

Well, yeah, that's true. I block everything out. In fact, let's let us review the text today.

SPEAKER_02

I was gonna say while you're looking for whatever um oh my fertile window. Fertile fertile window will start in three days, so says my watch. Just in case you wondered. Is that accurate?

SPEAKER_00

Is that what you were gonna tell me?

SPEAKER_02

No, and now I have forgotten. Oh, wait. No, wait, no.

SPEAKER_01

What was I gonna say?

unknown

Frick.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, tell me what, and I'll it's okay.

SPEAKER_00

I wanna I like wanna make sense of this. So I send you a voice note this morning.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, this is what I was gonna say. Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Because I'm so confused. I didn't, I was like, I'll talk to her about it on the podcast. I send you a voice note. Yeah, you say, Yeah, yeah, I can be there at 7 30. And what time are you proposing for tomorrow? After 12 before five, and I'm down to drive by the I have to teach at Emily's school. I I think so I can do after that. Then you hearted that. You hearted your own message.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, I think I meant to heart yours.

SPEAKER_00

And then I said, I love that you love your text heart.

unknown

Oh.

SPEAKER_00

And then you went, ha ha, I hate voice notes because I can't think that fast. And I was like, I have no idea what she's talking about.

SPEAKER_02

So this is what I was gonna say. This is what I was gonna comment on. Okay. I first of all, I think I meant to heart yours, so I think I just hit the wrong one.

SPEAKER_00

Which I assumed, but then I thought you'd be like, oh, oops, but it but you didn't, so I was like, oh, but maybe that was on purpose.

SPEAKER_02

Your response was because you always send me voice notes and I always text you back because I don't really like voice notes. And so I thought you were saying, ha ha, I love that you love your text. I love that you love to text.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, fair, fair. Okay, I didn't even think about that.

SPEAKER_02

And I was saying because whenever I do a voice note, I try to talk. Like I cannot think. And then it just like ends up being way longer than it needs to be, and I'm just like, um, um, um, um you I prefer a voice note. I just don't like it. But sometimes I will do that, but that's why I usually text back when you voice.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, that makes sense what you're saying now.

SPEAKER_02

Cause but I was like Yeah, I didn't realize I liked my own text.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, she liked her own text.

SPEAKER_02

But you know what?

SPEAKER_00

Work.

SPEAKER_02

I stand by stand by what I said.

SPEAKER_00

Um are we doing that thing after this?

SPEAKER_02

Yes. Okay, okay. Also, I need to say, yeah, because I I feel like you're definitely gonna do this. But luckily I didn't know you in 2016. So I cannot with all the 2016 pictures. You have it ready to go, don't you?

SPEAKER_01

That's fucking crazy. You have an album ready to go.

SPEAKER_00

No, I haven't done it yet. What? Because I can't decide if I want to make it a post or just a series and stories, and I think I've landed on stories. Let it live for 24 hours and be done with it. That's what a lot of people I I am following are doing.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, it's been 50-50, I guess. There's been a lot of people posting.

SPEAKER_00

Why are you why do you hate it? Because you didn't like you in 2026?

SPEAKER_02

I don't want to post any pictures of me from that time. And I won't be bullied into it.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, you will.

SPEAKER_02

No, I will not. And luckily you didn't know me then.

SPEAKER_00

But yeah, I know that we're friends on Facebook. I can do it for you.

SPEAKER_02

How many pictures are you gonna post where you're wearing a leather jacket and a plaid something around your waist?

SPEAKER_00

My god.

SPEAKER_02

How many?

SPEAKER_00

I mean, there's at least five. I s I went through my 2016 photos and saved. I mean, 2016 was filled with a lot of people I don't associate with anymore. So it was a little tricky, but I still was able to get like 10 photos. I had a really fun birthday that year in Palm Springs, and Heather and Caitlin flew out for it. So like that was that's fun. Um but yeah, there's a lot of leather jackets and it wasn't a great time for me. What's actually crazy is the leather jacket in that photo is the one that I still have that's like Forever 21 peeling on the neck that made boyfriend go, hey.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, let's get a new one.

SPEAKER_00

Which he did get me for Christmas, so kind. Um when I saw that picture today though, I was like, it's time to get rid of this Forever 21 plastic jacket. Yeah, it served me well, but it's time to go.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Anyway.

SPEAKER_02

2016 is also the time when like I had a hiatus from the fitness marshal. So like let's get into it. Post No, it's been talked to nauseum. But like, I don't have pictures from then of the even the fitness marshal. Like Caleb posted something and there was a video of me in it, and then like there's another picture that I can remember the day of like you saw that and get put like post it and you were like No, it was like we had a show and then and then like I left and they did something like together after, and I remember being like, Oh, I'm like, I'm sad that I wasn't there, and then like I think the next show was like my last show before. So it was just before the hiatus. Yeah, it was just funny. We're good, we're all good. Of course, of course. And then I came back and you know, everything's fine.

Massive Decluttering And Spring Cleaning Sprint

SPEAKER_00

Everything's fine. Well, can you talk for a second?

SPEAKER_02

I sure can. Hi. Well, I like normal volume. Testing, testing, one, two, three.

SPEAKER_00

You got quieter somehow.

SPEAKER_02

Well, sometimes I do talk like that. How do I talk like this?

SPEAKER_00

Give me like a hey.

SPEAKER_02

Hey.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, you're just a soft-spoken gal tonight.

SPEAKER_02

All right. I guess.

SPEAKER_00

Alright, we're good. What were we gonna say?

SPEAKER_02

Well, you're not caught up on traders.

SPEAKER_00

But we you I want you to catch me up so that I can just like jump into the newest episode tonight. I literally I and I've avoided, I don't know who got out or anything.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, I don't know if I'm gonna do it justice, so maybe I need to pull up. Well, no, no, can't can you just tell me who got out? Okay, this is trader spoilers are going to come after this. So this is your time to click off and move forward, like I don't know, five to ten minutes.

SPEAKER_00

Ten minutes?

SPEAKER_02

Five, five to seven minutes.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, fair.

SPEAKER_02

Maybe we'll put a timestamp on the screen. Okay. And if and in the description. More work for ourselves. Okay, anyway. You saw the first episode. So you know that Ian left or no?

SPEAKER_00

No, no, no one left in the first episode.

SPEAKER_02

So the first person murdered was Ian.

SPEAKER_00

So remind me, just or correct confirm. Secret terrorist gave terrorist. Secret trader gave names to the traders that we knew.

SPEAKER_02

Yes, they gave a short list.

SPEAKER_00

Short list. We don't know whose names were on it because they teased us in the first episode. They didn't say their names.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, but then they did in the next episode.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, so Ian was on that list.

SPEAKER_02

Ian was on that list. Rob was on that list, which he's a trader, so like he Oh, right, because the secret trader don't have it. Yeah, so they had even a smaller pool to choose from.

SPEAKER_00

How many names do you remember? Was it like three or four?

SPEAKER_02

Maybe. I think four, maybe. Not important. Okay. Ian is one of the winners on from Big Brother. I'm on the Big Brother. He won Big Brother 14.

unknown

Ian.

SPEAKER_00

Ian Terry?

SPEAKER_02

Yes. And he is like on that list of like gamers who they know won a strategy show and like are scared of. So he was like a very easy person to just in case he's a trader, just get out. You know what I mean?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that's sad though.

SPEAKER_02

Or just in you know what I mean. Like none of the people were gonna be upset that like a very big gamer left. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I do want to talk because I do love him about how we didn't really talk about it while it was happening, but Portia saying what she said in the car and then blatantly denying it in that kitchen, and people just like believed it.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

When that happened with something else last season, and to me, uh there must just be so much conversation happening because to us watching, it's like, how did everyone just let that go? I know that was a full blatant lie.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. But it so that came up in the round table.

SPEAKER_00

It did.

SPEAKER_02

And yeah, Jam Jam confronted her and was like, You said this, and Donna Kelsey was like, and I heard two. And so everyone was like, Well, that's crazy. And they did kind of embellish it a little, like from what she said to like how they were retelling it. Yeah, so I think it did sound even more incriminating, and she get she got um banished.

SPEAKER_00

They figured her out.

SPEAKER_02

It wasn't her, which was crazy.

SPEAKER_00

Wait, hold on.

SPEAKER_02

I know she just said that, and she wasn't a traitor.

SPEAKER_00

So I thought Portia was a traitor.

SPEAKER_02

No.

SPEAKER_00

She's not a traitor, you're right.

SPEAKER_02

We thought she was the secret traitor.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, yes, yes. She wasn't.

SPEAKER_02

She wasn't. She just said that.

SPEAKER_00

What?

SPEAKER_02

I was just making sure because I can't really see it.

SPEAKER_00

Hold on.

SPEAKER_02

I know. She just randomly said, like, we killed blah blah blah.

SPEAKER_00

Wait, who's the secret traitor?

SPEAKER_02

Well, do you want me to tell you right now? Or do you mean to keep going? Oh, keep going. Sorry, yeah. Keep going.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, keep going in order. This is great.

SPEAKER_02

So Portia, they banish her, and she gets to the thing, and everyone's like sad because Or were people like for did everyone agree?

SPEAKER_00

Was it unanimous, Porsche?

SPEAKER_02

Pretty much. I think uh there might have been a couple rogue.

SPEAKER_00

So she just lied for no reason.

SPEAKER_02

She just, it really was a slip of the tongue. Like she really didn't realize what she said. And she goes, and everyone's like, We gotta traitor. And then she goes, I'm a faithful. And everyone was like, What? Then why did you say that?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

That was so weird. And then everyone thought Jam Jam made it up. But like once they watch it back, they're gonna be like, Oh, she really did say that. Yeah. Um, and then the next murder, the shortlist, I forget who was on it, but oh, they had to do a murder in plain sight.

SPEAKER_00

What is that? Oh, one of those. One of those.

SPEAKER_02

And they basically had to like find a little like something behind a picture. And they had there was like little cards with the short list on it that the secret trader gave them. And then they had to choose one and throw it in the fire, like in the main room or whatever, and burn it, which is very risky.

SPEAKER_00

Very obvious.

SPEAKER_02

And um what's her name, Trader? With the ones we know. We know Rob, we know Lisa, we know the third. What is her name?

SPEAKER_00

Candace.

SPEAKER_02

Candace, okay, sorry. Um oh, Candace randomly goes, Con everyone, I want to do a conga line around the house, which is very suspicious. Because like, why would we do that? But everyone You know what?

SPEAKER_00

Remember last season when they had to get everyone to drink out of this like and then who was the girl who was the girl that ended up winning? Her voice was crazy to me.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I forget her name.

SPEAKER_00

But she was so obvious.

SPEAKER_02

I was like, what anyway. I know. So they she she got them, Candace got everyone to participate in a conga line, and then Rob just acted like a bro and was like, I don't want to do this, and like walked away and then ran in, got the cards, saw who they were, and then got Lisa to play chess with him, where they were, he was like, Oh, I'm gonna teach you how to play chess. You wanted to learn how to play chess, right? Like, I'll teach you. And then they sit down at the chessboard and he's like, Okay, let's look look at these like they're like players in the game. And like, this is this person. And like, would you do you think you should move this one, or do you think you should move this one? And like, I think if you were sitting there like intently, they made it like why are you doing that? And they made it like Tara Lipinski was, but I she probably wasn't, but they made it look like she was like watching them super intensely. Um, so then they decide who they're gonna kill, and he they pull it off, they throw it in the fire, whatever, and they murdered Rob Sesternino, who's the other uh survivor player that is the podcaster. And I was so like two of my favorites, and that's one of mine that I guess would get yes, so he got murdered, and then they go to the round table, and everyone is super suspicious of Donna Kelsey because apparently she's just like lurking around, being very quiet, and that's kind of her vibe, I feel I know. She just she did kept being like, um, I uh I just have such a big fan of you guys. Like, I'm starstruck, and she must have been like really suspicious, and like to us, we weren't even getting half of it because it was a unanimous vote that she was the a traitor, and then she was she was the secret traitor.

SPEAKER_00

So she got banished.

SPEAKER_02

She got banished, she lasted so they're very excited because no, I don't think anyone's gotten a traitor that quickly.

SPEAKER_00

No, no, no. Yeah, but I mean she only lasted two weeks.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Well, Bob wasn't that pretty fast.

SPEAKER_02

I feel like Bob lasted maybe three weeks or four weeks. A little bit longer, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Or four episodes, you know what I mean.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Donna's Kelsey's already gone. She is gone. That was a strange one from the start, I'll be honest.

SPEAKER_02

They did also show like people did a deep dive, and the one there was a um competition they did where she was not participating. So really, so sh she must have just been like had physical limitations and they like just kind of edited it around in a way that they didn't really acknowledge it. Okay, okay. And but people like looked at it and they were like, She is nowhere. Like there's an overhead shot of everyone, and they're like, She's nowhere here. They just like put her in at the end and put her in at the beginning and whatever. So I don't know, maybe she maybe she was happy to go because the competitions sometimes are a lot.

SPEAKER_00

The challenges, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

So yeah, so the new episode episode drops tonight at nine.

SPEAKER_00

So we'll see what's next. Well, unfortunately, I was on the Wikipedia page and saw already.

SPEAKER_02

You did see, yeah, we can't do that.

SPEAKER_00

No, because now I know what's happening.

SPEAKER_02

Okay. Um we're going out of spoilers now.

SPEAKER_00

Done. Yes. Spoilers done.

SPEAKER_02

And that probably was 10 minutes.

SPEAKER_00

No.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, it wasn't?

SPEAKER_00

No, no, no.

SPEAKER_02

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

No, at all.

SPEAKER_02

No at all.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_02

Anything else?

SPEAKER_00

Well, what's going on with you? I gave you my whole reorganized my house update.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, right. Um, I don't have it. I don't know.

SPEAKER_00

How has the January challenge been going?

SPEAKER_02

It's good. I'm just very tired.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. Well, it is an exhausting challenge.

SPEAKER_02

Like, I don't what happened this week? Let me, where's my phone? Let me see.

Traitors Spoiler Block And Banishments

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, take a look. Look at your calendar. I know that you went on a hike with Dylan. You didn't tell me you did that.

SPEAKER_02

Oh. He just randomly texted me and was like, Do you want to I want to see you? Like, do you want to go on a hike? So we did that. We did do that. That was on Sunday evening, like early evening. I watched the was that last week or this week. Um, the IU played Oregon for like in the football, and they won. They killed them. So now they are in the national championship, which is exciting.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, okay. Um I'm actually so glad you brought up IU. Remind me, keep going.

SPEAKER_02

I feel like that's it. Wait, no, that's not it. Okay. I guess I can say this because like what's the point in not or what's the point in there's no need to not say it.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, then say it.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, so something super annoying that I'm dealing with is that someone has committed fraud and forgery against me.

SPEAKER_00

In the form of in the form of?

SPEAKER_02

In the form of they stole my check from a choreography job I did, somehow got it, and uh Like in the mail? I guess. I don't know. Like I literally don't know, but I was like, Oh, I haven't gotten this check yet. And I checked in with the the teacher that I worked with, and she was like, I'll check in on it. And then she texted me not last night, but the night before, and she was like, Hey, it was cashed on December 9th. And I was like, Well, I didn't do that. So someone else did. And then they got a uh like a photocopy of it, and the person like the signature on it is so clearly not even it's not even forging my name, it's just their signature, and it has a um like a company name on it. It's like pay to the order of like what some like some moving company and then a signature, and the bank account is clearly not mine. A spider. Ew, gross. I would die.

SPEAKER_00

Come here, little guy.

SPEAKER_02

Ew. You're just gonna let him live?

SPEAKER_00

Well, he didn't do anything. Yeah, he's fine.

SPEAKER_02

So I spent um the day yesterday going to the police station, not once but twice, because I went to first to go file it, and I explained it to them, and they were like, Okay.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, you kind of found the person. If they put a pay to the order of it, it's probably easy to find them, right?

SPEAKER_02

Well, maybe, yeah, I don't know. And I explained it to them, and the guy was like, Okay, you need to do an identity theft report. And I was like, Okay, cool. I went back home, I started to do it online, and then I got to a question that was like, Do you know information about who did this? And I was like, Well, I kind of do because it's on the they whatever they wrote on the check, like that is information. Yeah, and so when I clicked that, they were like, You you can't do this, like you need to go in person.

SPEAKER_00

And so I was like, Go in person to confront the person?

SPEAKER_02

No, to to file a report. Because there's some reports that you need to do online, and there's some reports that you need to do in person, apparently. Okay, and so I went back to the police station and I was like, Okay, so this is what the thing said, and the guy was like, That is not true, like that question really means like if you like personally know that person or like you were face to face or something like that, like that would be why how you would do that. And so I was like, Okay, so you're sure that I need to do this same thing. Yeah, and he was like, Yeah, totally. Okay, I go back, fill out the report, I have to like write out a whole narrative of everything, blah, blah, blah. And I submit it, and I'm like, okay, wow, you did something so brave today.

SPEAKER_03

And you did.

SPEAKER_02

Because I had also called them and they were had me on hold for 40 minutes. That's why I went back because I was like so annoying. Whatever. I get an email 10 minutes later after I submit it, and it goes, Hey, we can't accept this. You have to come and do it in person because it this is not an identity theft case, this is a forgery case. And I was like, I asked twice what I'm supposed to do. So, really, I'm doing this because the school wants there to be a report done so that they can submit it to their bank for proof of yeah, so they can get the money back and then they can re-issue it to me. So they're not like out the money, also. It's wild.

SPEAKER_00

So you'll see this check at the end of the year.

SPEAKER_02

Literally, it's insane. So that is what I did yesterday. And I was on the phone. I was on the phone with the insurance company yesterday, forever, on hold forever a million times. I was on going to the police station, being on hold with the police station. I had the worst day of my life yesterday, and I can't believe I blocked it out.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, you did. You fully blocked it out. So that's but like you did it, everything you did what you needed to do, at least.

SPEAKER_02

No, because I I had to work today, so I wasn't able to go back. So and tomorrow I have to teach at a different school.

SPEAKER_00

So are these all with Emily?

SPEAKER_02

The other one was not. It was a friend of Emily that she um hooked me up with.

SPEAKER_00

So I wanted to keep you updated. Please do. Yeah, please. Jumping back to You said IU, which reminded me of um a conversation that I had with Emma because she went to it's it didn't sync here. Oh, it's on here.

SPEAKER_01

Canada Emma.

SPEAKER_00

Canada Emma went to a hockey game, or no, uh she went to some sporting event where there was an Indiana team playing.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

And she texts me and she says, This is actually crazy. And I just want to know.

SPEAKER_02

Um I don't know of a single hockey team team from Indiana. Well, I do know like the Fort Wayne comments or whatever, but yeah, no, hang on, let's see.

SPEAKER_00

Sorry, cut this out. Okay, she said she texts me this. Can you explain what a Hoosier is? I'm at the Rose Bowl LOL cheering for Indiana.

SPEAKER_02

So Oh, that was yeah. That was the bowl game. Yeah. That was on like New Year's, right?

SPEAKER_00

Yes, it was on January 1st.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, Josh and I watched that.

SPEAKER_00

I was like, ha, I love this. Well, I am a Hoosier because I'm from Indiana.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Being like, is that what you mean?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. She was like, no, no.

SPEAKER_00

The exact origin of the word is debated. Do you know, first of all, do you know any of the okay, so I don't know why we were taught this. I was taught this in school, but so I I was like, I bel I choose to believe this one.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

I choose to believe the one that says it came from early Indi Indiana settlers. They had a sort of accent and would say the phrase who's there in a sort of slur that sounded like Hoosers. They'd be like, who's there?

SPEAKER_01

Who's there? Okay, who's there?

SPEAKER_00

Who's there?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Um she says, Okay, this is super helpful until Mackenzie, that's her husband, asked the person next to us, and they said it's from a you it's from Ukrainian gangs. Which you're Ukrainian, so you should know this.

SPEAKER_02

I'm not I'm Romanian.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, Romanian. Sorry, cut that out. Um, that's funny. She said, Is she fucking with us because we're uh neutral fans? We're cheering for Hoosiers, though. I said, and this is true, I've heard like three or four different ones. I've never heard of it coming from gangs. No, and then she said she's gonna ask for more info, and then I said, I'm gonna text every Hoosier I know. Oh, you did text me that the bison mascot has something to do with the Ukrainian gangs, also. What bison mascot I have no idea.

SPEAKER_02

I didn't go to IU, so is that their mascot? A bison?

SPEAKER_00

I I didn't know they had a mascot. I thought it was just that fork-looking thing.

SPEAKER_02

The letters I Hoosier the bison. I had no idea.

SPEAKER_00

I said, what the hell?

SPEAKER_02

Well, he had a 60-year hiatus, so why? I don't know. Oh, sorry.

SPEAKER_00

So it never was concluded.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I don't know. Did you I saw that on your search history? What's a Hoosier?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, on there, yeah. And so the one that I thought is on there, but I hadn't heard of like two of the other ones.

SPEAKER_02

But um was was the Ukrainian thing on there?

SPEAKER_00

No. And I Googled it. So anyway, she comes, we come to work, right? And she pronounces it like this Hooser.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, because she's Canadian.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Yeah. She's like, ah, you're wearing your Hooser shirt.

SPEAKER_02

I was wearing, you know, my Don't they say hoser?

SPEAKER_00

I was like, who it's Hoosier.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, the uh frontiersman or hill dweller is possibly linked to English words for high or large, eventually becoming a proud symbol of Indiana's friendly and independent spirit.

SPEAKER_00

Friendly and independent spirit? Amanda, if you're watching or listening to this, can you let us know?

SPEAKER_02

She doesn't know either, but she could she might. Um but funny, right? That is funny. And I had no idea that the bison was I certainly didn't either.

SPEAKER_00

What was Ball State's mascot?

SPEAKER_02

Charlie Cardinal.

SPEAKER_00

Right, chirp chirp.

SPEAKER_02

Charlie Cardinal, which definitely makes sense because Cardinal is the bird of Indiana, great.

SPEAKER_00

And of a bunch of other states.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, it is?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I don't like that.

SPEAKER_00

My favorite thing, and I'm gonna make a video this Christmas, mark my words. There's so much gay cardinal Christmas decor, but people don't know that it's gay, and I love that.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, because they're always kissing, but they're two male ones.

Life Catch-Up And January Challenge

SPEAKER_00

Male cardinals are the red ones, that's it. So there'll be like this beautiful scenescape of like two red cardinals like touching, including my mother. She has this beautiful snow globe with two red.

SPEAKER_02

You should tell her that one and see what she does.

SPEAKER_00

No, I think it's more fun to just let it be there and just can constantly compliment her on it. Mom, this is just such a cute cardinal decoration you got here. Um I'm gonna make a video of that this year.

SPEAKER_02

I like it.

SPEAKER_00

Um, another thing that I've been doing is I kind of blame your influence. It's taken a long time, but I have been watching vlogs on YouTube.

SPEAKER_03

Oh my gosh, finally.

SPEAKER_00

This whole cleaning process, I've just had vlogs on, either upstairs or downstairs. It started because I wanted to watch a vlog about Cedar Point, my favorite place.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Um never heard that before.

SPEAKER_00

Never? I want to tell you about it.

SPEAKER_02

Please don't.

SPEAKER_00

Um and so I was like, let me see if there's vlogs on there. There's this one that had it's like 1.5 million views, and it was from this past summer. And I was like at Cedar Point. At Cedar Point, yeah. But it was like by this girl. I don't really want to out her, I don't have anything bad to say about her, but it was a very irritating vlog that I could not turn away from.

SPEAKER_02

Why was it irritating?

SPEAKER_00

Her energy.

SPEAKER_02

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Well, everyone's not for everyone. She's very famous. So, like, but I had never heard of her before this, but she has quite a following. People were stopping her in the park. And I've never heard of her.

SPEAKER_01

I want to know her name.

SPEAKER_00

Um, Kayla and Kylie. She's 20. So for the first half of the episode, I'm like, okay. She's a 16-year-old driving a Range Rover. They she lives like two hours from Cedar Point, she goes a lot.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

I'm like, okay, okay, okay. Then they do the guess, the age guessing game at Cedar Point. And the and the person she's with, her friend Kylie, I was like, is clearly like her mentor. But Kayla is like running the show. You can just leave it in. Yeah, it's not it's nothing mean. Like in the end, oh, it has a good conclusion. They go to do that guessing game where they can be like, guess your weight, your birthday, or your age. Terrible.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Imagine me guessing that.

SPEAKER_01

I would never do that.

SPEAKER_00

So they guess that Kay she guesses that Kayla is 19, and they guess that Kylie is 21.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Kayla is 26, and Kylie is 16. Oh. And I was like, oh, now I'm invested.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I don't know why finding out that like this girl is, and that was last year, sorry. So she's like 28 now.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

There's no way. And then I was like, I watched that episode, then I watched another one of her episodes, then I watched another one of her episodes, and I was like, oh, I'm get I get it now. She is wholesome, just a happy, wholesome girl.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, so now you're on board.

SPEAKER_00

Yes.

SPEAKER_02

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

I don't know if I'll tune in. Like, she hosts like sleepovers and like I can't really, I haven't been able to understand the family dynamic. Like, is she taking care of all these children that are in her house? I don't know. But like the fans, the people that were approaching her were all little girls.

SPEAKER_01

Ah, okay.

SPEAKER_00

So it's like, okay, she's like a wholesome.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

She's what Miranda sings wish she could have been. And for that I say, great. And do you know what I think did it? Her thumbnails. It is crazy how a thumbnail pulls me in. It's like, goddamn.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I'm not good at thumbnails.

SPEAKER_00

So I need to show you her thumbnails. It's wild.

SPEAKER_02

Look at people's thumbnails that I know are successful and have good thumbnails. I can't recreate it. I try.

SPEAKER_00

And and I think like that's gotta be part of why people click on it because the thumbnails are I know they're important. Like even we have a whole team at Buzzfeed that just makes them. Yeah, it is very important. They test them and they test them and they test them.

SPEAKER_02

Like I mean, for whatever you think about Shane Dawson is he kind of led that. He is the most he is the best person to make thumbnails.

SPEAKER_00

He could do a master class on it.

SPEAKER_02

Literally.

SPEAKER_00

Well, that just caught catapulted me into just so many vlogs.

SPEAKER_02

I was just like Did you watch the magical people? What's her name?

SPEAKER_00

No, I forgot about them. I need to go back. I do need to go back. Are they still making content? I think so. Okay.

SPEAKER_02

I um I have been on a hiatus from vlogging. I have not had the energy after doing Vlogmas.

SPEAKER_00

I just want to show you. And I need to get back into it. Like, look at her thumbnail, the second video.

SPEAKER_02

Is it AI?

SPEAKER_00

I don't think no. I think it or is it like an actual photo that she enhanced?

SPEAKER_02

Maybe, because Mr. Beast does a lot of AI um images of himself and his thumbnails.

SPEAKER_00

Like Purple Star Zero Two is her name. No, I think they're like real pictures that she enhances. But do you you see they're like they pull you in?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

This girl has it down. Anyway, now I'm watching vlogs and I would like you to oh it's making me want to be like.

SPEAKER_02

You want to be a vlogger?

SPEAKER_00

Well, because imagine if I was just consistent with my editing skills. Yeah. Anyway.

SPEAKER_02

Well, if you ever want to try vlogging, I or like that, because you you do like a vertical vlog. But if you ever want to do like a long form, I think you should be able to do that.

SPEAKER_00

Well, that's what I want to try with you and Angela. That's what I want to propose to you as far remember. So we'll talk, we'll talk about it.

SPEAKER_02

I yeah, I've been on a like drought because I just cannot like Well, you were deeply injured. I was deeply injured, and I did so much like Vlogmas every day just like really wears on me. And when I do when I I just needed some time off, but I do need to pick it back up.

SPEAKER_00

I think realistically, like you could do a weekly vlog.

SPEAKER_02

I was like for the last like couple months, or for the like a handful of months.

SPEAKER_00

Prior to Christmas Vlogmas.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I was doing that's true a week. I was just like picking up the camera randomly throughout the week and just compiling it. And just compiling it because and that did seem to work for me. It's just like now I need to get back into it because I felt so burnt out.

SPEAKER_00

Well now you have the fun new vlog camera.

SPEAKER_02

So but I also just like need to do things. Yeah. Okay, sure. Because I that is a problem of mine where I'm like, I what am I doing? Like some days I'm literally not leaving the apartment. I'm editing all day.

SPEAKER_00

Even if you had a 10-minute vlog, that you're doing enough in a week to fill a 10-minute vlog.

SPEAKER_02

Sure. I'm like going to work out, which like I don't love filming myself because I'm in a big class and I don't really want to film other people because there's someone in my class that does that and people are annoyed by it. And so I'm just like, what what exciting thing am I doing? And then it's just like I'm watching a movie with Josh and like going to like what am I doing?

SPEAKER_00

You're turning the camera on you and Josh. You're saying, okay, we're just cozy up to watch. The Hummer Maid and these are the snacks we're having.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, which I also just like he will be in content, but he doesn't like necessarily want to be in it all the time. So then it's like okay, what am I doing? So but I do enjoy it, and I know that people watch, I know that people watch, and I enjoy it. I really enjoy vlogging. Okay, but I now it's gonna be hard for me to get back into it. So anyway, I do have something pop culture to talk about.

SPEAKER_00

Sorry, yes.

SPEAKER_02

Two things. One, I didn't watch the Golden Globes, did you? I did watch Nikki Glazer's um monologue and I had a good time with that.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I watched them.

SPEAKER_02

Okay. Do you have any breakout moments?

SPEAKER_00

The Heat of Rivalry Boys, I think everyone was obsessed. Yes, that was cute. Um, not really any big standout moments. Nikki Glazer's like song number in the middle was so cringe I had to walk away.

SPEAKER_02

I heard that. Um K-pop Demon Hunters 1, best animated picture. That's it.

SPEAKER_00

Think on and song.

SPEAKER_02

Good point.

SPEAKER_00

Which, like, you know, do you know that girl's story, EJ, the girl that wrote it? Yeah, so it's just like that, just was like, it's just nice because she's our age. It's like we fucking did it.

Fraudulent Check Ordeal And Police Runaround

SPEAKER_02

She didn't know. For you guys don't know, she was went through the K-pop trainee program. She almost debuted with uh, I think Espa.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_02

Um, but then she kind of was too, she had become like older than all the other girls. Like she was in her like late 20s and they were early 20s, if even 20. Yeah. And it just like they it didn't make sense, I believe. This is the story I heard. And so she ended up not getting to debut, and then she started writing music.

SPEAKER_00

Work your whole fucking 20s to do this thing, and then I know. But like she's so like her speech, her acceptance speech said it's like clearly this was how it was meant to be. This is what was supposed to happen.

SPEAKER_02

I really think that they should just become hot tricks, agree, and just be agreed and just go perform. Yes. And then like what's holding them back?

SPEAKER_00

Is it is it copyright because of the no, see, this is what so this is what worked in their favor is that Netflix doesn't have an in-house music department. And so they have to outsource for music. Whereas now they won't because they own Warner Brothers. So Warner Brothers has an in-house music department. Right, yeah. So they can do everything in-house and own everything. Yeah, they just need to be like this was like this was outsourced. So a producer team, a production team, and these songwriters created this music. There is, um sure, some sort of deal, but it would only benefit Netflix because they would get a part of that.

SPEAKER_02

They should just pay whatever they need to pay for the rights of them, and they should just be like, you are Hunter's.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, send them on a tour. They they even look the park. So great go so good.

SPEAKER_02

But they don't even have to. I don't think that people would even care if they're dressed like the character.

SPEAKER_00

No, I know, but I mean like they're not like a random songwriter that can't like perform. They are artists that could do it.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Every time I've seen them perform, they're amazing.

SPEAKER_00

Macy Thanksgiving Day Parade performance, so good.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I just I hope that that's what they do because people really but yeah, no, the show is like the Golden Globes is not my favorite because there's never music numbers really or anything.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Amy Poor did win the inaugural award for best podcast, which we should mention because we are a podcast.

SPEAKER_02

Yes, I'm happy for her.

SPEAKER_00

Which is yeah.

SPEAKER_02

But she is also very famous already, and yeah, you know, her first episode probably had millions. So for people who have worked their way up from the bottom, like it is I would have liked to see my favorite murder in there, you know. Like they're real which the iHeart Podcast Awards are have been announced, and your girls are nominated.

SPEAKER_00

They are? Mm-hmm. I mean, thank God they just celebrated their 100th episode. Sorry, that's a lie. Their 10th year.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I was gonna say they've definitely had.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Um, yeah, the iHeart Podcast Awards, I don't know when the show when it March March 16th is the thing. So you can you can vote on these. Um, podcast of the year, I'll just tell you this one and then I'll tell you hers. Okay. The nominees are Amy Polar, The Breakfast Club, Mel Robbins, Pablo Torrey finds out. I don't know that. The daily, the rest is history this past weekend with The O'Bon, Call Her Daddy, Heavyweight, Giggly Swad. Um, and your girls are nominated for not podcast? Podcast.

SPEAKER_00

What did you just read?

SPEAKER_02

Uh podcast of the year.

SPEAKER_00

They're not nominated in podcast of the year. No. There's another category for a podcast.

SPEAKER_02

This is all podcast awards. This is the iHeart Podcast Awards.

SPEAKER_00

Understood. Okay.

SPEAKER_02

So everything is a podcast. They are nominated for Best Crime Podcast. Crime Junkie, Rotten Mango, Anatomy of a Murder, Anatomy of Murder, My Favorite Murder with Karen Kilgriff and Georgia Hardstock, and Wisecrack.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_02

But there's like, there's so many categories.

SPEAKER_00

It's I just want to say real quick, it's Karen Kilgriff and Georgia Hardstock.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, my bad. It's all good. Best uh business finance, best comedy, crime, pop culture, which is Las Cultureistas, which we need to talk about. Call Her Daddy Therapus with Jake Shane, Giggly Swad, and The Vile Files, Food, Wellness and Fitness Podcast, History, Best Kids and Family, Music Podcast, News Podcast.

SPEAKER_00

Is Kristen not nominated for anything? Cavalieri.

SPEAKER_02

What would hers be under?

SPEAKER_00

Boss ass bitch? Is there like a boss?

SPEAKER_02

Uh best overall host, Amy Polar, Pablo Torre, Alex Cooper, Emma Chamberlain, Caleb Hearin. I hope he wins. That's fine.

SPEAKER_00

That'd be cool.

SPEAKER_02

Um Caleb Hearing. What is Kristen's called?

SPEAKER_00

I don't know. I shouldn't have said it. Not sure.

SPEAKER_02

Um, political Spanish. Like there's a bunch of awards. So Okay, sure. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

That's fun.

SPEAKER_02

I will be interested to tune in for that. Now let's talk about Lost Culturistas because my I what I want to know is I think they had the internet scrubbed of all Google searches because I had no idea about this controversy that is going on. Basically, if you guys don't know, um on the podcast, Matt, is that his name?

SPEAKER_00

Yes, Matt Rogers.

SPEAKER_02

He went was saying like you shouldn't basically he was like, you shouldn't but waste your time money um endorsing or uh donating to Jasmine Crockett because she's not gonna win, because what's his name is a man and like he's probably gonna win, so you should just like endorse him is like the gist, right? I didn't I saw this clip briefly and I didn't even see the like full thing. I just saw people commenting on it. Um, so I believe that's the gist of what he said, and they have been getting a lot of backlash and cancellation for that. And I don't I don't know, I don't have thoughts on that. Like I think that that was that's a wrong take because you can't taking out the people, like you can't just say, well, I don't I'm not gonna do that because that person's not gonna win, because then no one, then yeah, they're not gonna win because you're not like if everyone has that mindset, then they have no chance. They have no chance and no change will ever happen. So the the overall take is is wrong if if you want that person to succeed. But what I really wanted to comment on was that I heard someone say Los Culturistas has been like going through a cancellation, or they're like people they're getting a lot of backlash, and I had no idea what it was. So I went to Google and I typed in Las Culturistas and I typed in like cancellation, I said scandal, I typed in Jasmine Crockett. It is nothing comes up. And I just want to say that good for them that they have the means and money and representation to do that, but most people can't, and that's like kind of annoying on a that's a crisis PR that like did the literally so TikTok can't really be scrubbed like that because people can make videos like every second. So there are videos talking about it on TikTok, and that is how I learned the the gist of what I learned. Yeah, but I just thought that was crazy that they've had the internet scrubbed. That is wild, wild, which like Bowen is a like an a mainstream celebrity, so yeah, but those are the kind of people who get away with whatever they want because they are mainstream and no one cares.

SPEAKER_00

Like that it's weird that neither of them had made a statement. Uh, do you know?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, they were like yeah, they were just like get it, scrub it.

SPEAKER_00

It seems odd to also like be so opinionated about her because she seems like someone that would say.

SPEAKER_02

Oh.

SPEAKER_00

Like she's not gonna be quiet.

SPEAKER_02

No.

SPEAKER_00

I love her.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I love her too.

SPEAKER_00

Her videos bring me so much.

Hoosier Origins And Mascot Mysteries

SPEAKER_02

Again, I don't know like everything about politics, but like I have a great time hearing what she is.

SPEAKER_00

In the doom of the scroll when I land on one of hers, where she's always making me laugh. Yes.

unknown

Like, yes.

SPEAKER_02

She's always making me laugh. Do I know all of her stances? No.

SPEAKER_00

I don't either.

SPEAKER_02

But I don't know. I just thought that was very interesting. Um but they scrubbed the internet. Yep. Is it time for A-list, A-list on the week, Little Shop, Little Shop of Huss.

SPEAKER_00

Which we sang last week.

SPEAKER_02

We did, and uh I'm uh confused why you never want to go to karaoke places.

SPEAKER_00

I take it too seriously.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, but okay.

SPEAKER_00

Too serious.

SPEAKER_02

What what do you mean? You don't like you're good, so take it seriously, and everyone's gonna be like, wow, amazing, and we're all gonna have fun. We're in LA. I've seen so many people at karaoke bars take it seriously.

SPEAKER_00

You're right, you're right.

SPEAKER_02

Or we could just do the thing that we did last week and sing in my living room. No, get the like private room.

SPEAKER_00

I just wonder like why we don't like do that more often. Well, that was so expensive, but yeah, we should find one. Yeah. Oh, I had no idea. Um, because there was like a food and drink minimum. Oh, but no, those exist for much cheaper. We just need to find one. I would tell you that. Like a room for four or something.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Just get in there, just get in there, have some wings and drinks and sing.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

It's your dream, actually.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Just line up duet after duet.

SPEAKER_02

I will do karaoke if I am a little tipsy. Yeah. In an in a public place. Because I will perform. Whatever I'm doing, I will perform. I was blackout drunk, and my ex made me sing Britney Spears, which it was way too high for me. But I gave that which Britney Spears?

SPEAKER_00

Because she does not sing I.

SPEAKER_02

I think it was Toxic, maybe.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, that is high.

SPEAKER_02

That is high. Yeah, anything else? Have you baby one more time? Yeah. Could have sung that.

SPEAKER_00

I can sing most Britney songs because she has such a low.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, but I was blackout and I heard my name called, and I just I was like, what am I singing? And I walked up there.

SPEAKER_00

And there it was, toxic.

SPEAKER_02

And but I was like, I'm I'll make up for my lack of being able to sing this with my performance. And I had people up there right in front of me dancing and high fiving. So, like, if you give me a little tipsy, like I will outperform. Okay. So, and I have go-to songs. If I was given the opportunity to pick what I wanted to Atlantis Morris set, um Amy Winehouse.

SPEAKER_00

Probably something from Spring Awakening.

SPEAKER_02

Reba McIntyre. I'm not gonna sing Spring Awakening in if it's not a Broadway cracking.

SPEAKER_00

My friend Alyssa did say there's a karaoke bar around here that does musical theater night.

SPEAKER_02

Is it the one? Oh, I don't know. We'll talk about it later. Okay. My list of the week, I think, is just traders because I'm just so happy it's back.

SPEAKER_00

And that is a great one.

SPEAKER_02

And I'm just I just have a great time when it's on my TV.

SPEAKER_00

Into the depths. Um, mine is Kohl's. Let me tell you about my Coles experience.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Kohl's is great for a lot of for what in okay, prior to this.

SPEAKER_02

Amazon returns.

SPEAKER_00

Thank you. It's the Amazon returns of it all.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And sometimes I peruse with that 25% off coupon that you get when you leave. Of course. Is there something here for me? Typically, nay.

SPEAKER_02

This one has a Sephora, which is exciting.

SPEAKER_00

But this one has a Sephora, the 25% off doesn't work for that. But it does work for their dog stuff. So like I'll occasionally get something for Stanley, but typically, like, it ain't for me. Um however, that has changed.

SPEAKER_01

What do they have for you?

SPEAKER_00

Here's what happened. My parents, bless their hearts, sent me some clothes for Christmas. From Kohl's. From Coles. Bless their hearts again. They sent gift receipts. So I took that, I took those back. It was not not shocking at all because Coles is very affordable and they have great deals. It was$37 in store credit. Love that. I said, Great thanks. I don't think there's anything here for me. I'm not gonna worry about this today. But I had to do an Amazon return.

SPEAKER_01

I had to do sweatpants.

SPEAKER_00

But like no name brands. It's only Coles brand things you can use that coupon on. Sorry, the the coupon. Sorry.

SPEAKER_02

What your gift receipt could definitely get you some Nike.

SPEAKER_00

But not the whole thing. And it's like I don't like Nike enough to like, you know what I mean? If it was$37, sure. So I was like, let me wait till I have an Amazon return and then see if I can find something with this coupon that isn't excluded. So I'm like, I'm not I'm not very hopeful, but let's see. I walk around. I'm like, you know what? I've always needed a planter for this tree. And they have a whole home section.

SPEAKER_03

They do.

SPEAKER_00

They had a clearance section in there. This pot was I actually think the stickers on the bottom. Whatever amount of money it was, I gave it they accepted. It was on clearance. And I was like, Do you guys take this coupon even though this is on clearance? She was like, Yeah, we do.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, amazing. Bless you. I got in there early.

SPEAKER_00

You did. So 20% off brought this pot down to$13.99.$41.

SPEAKER_01

Oh.

SPEAKER_00

It's a you should see this pot. It's nice.$41. So after my store credit from my parents,$4 out of pocket. Nice for a really nice pot that adds to this.

SPEAKER_01

I will look at it when we're done.

SPEAKER_00

So I said, you know what, Coles? I'm sorry I've been sleeping on you. You sell great khakis and you have great planters. Yeah. And thank you for making my Amazon returns so easy. So my list of the week is Coles.

SPEAKER_02

I think shoes sometimes you can get a doing. You can find, you know, maybe some makeup, some jewelry.

SPEAKER_00

I got, you know, some burse. I definitely get my hand touch.

SPEAKER_02

You can get the Lauren Conrad line there.

SPEAKER_00

You can. What's this? Touch hand. I get my touch hand from there.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, yes.

SPEAKER_00

The best scent ever, coconut.

SPEAKER_02

From the Sephora.

SPEAKER_00

From the Sephora.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Anyway, that's my list of weeks.

SPEAKER_02

Fun. That's really throwing it back to your Midwest roots.

SPEAKER_00

It is. Last thing I want to say is that I am going to Big Bear this weekend.

SPEAKER_02

I heard.

SPEAKER_00

It's so funny. It's like a right.

SPEAKER_02

Are you going to the restaurant?

SPEAKER_00

Well, so here's the thing. I was he uh obviously he knows what happened, and we are doing similar to you and Josh just two nights.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Um, and we're going to basically like go in. He's never been.

SPEAKER_01

Oh my gosh.

SPEAKER_00

I'm always from here.

SPEAKER_01

Wow.

SPEAKER_00

We're not gonna do like I'm not gonna do the the coaster or anything. I'm really trying to just like keep it low-key.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

So I was like, but he needs to see downtown. So we're gonna go downtown during the day, which is I think what you did. Yeah right during the day on Sunday, because we're doing Saturday to Monday. And then um if we are able to get in there, I would like to eat there.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, you should you should be like, hey.

SPEAKER_00

I that's what's so I'm like, I think I'm like if we do end up going there, I'm gonna go in and be like, hey, hey. Do you remember like right before Christmas? And they're gonna be like, oh my god, yeah, how is she? And I'm just gonna be like, it's not good. She died. She's no longer with us into a week.

SPEAKER_02

Don't do that to them. But you can tell them I'm healing okay. Kind of, I think I'll have a scar.

Vlog Rabbit Holes, Thumbnails, And Burnout

SPEAKER_00

I want you to send me a picture of you doing this, and then I'll be like, She wanted me to show you guys.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, I'll do it. I'll have her to go there. I don't want to be able to do that. You want to go in and be like, are you guys the managers that were here? I'll FaceTime in.

SPEAKER_00

Hey guys, remember her? Yeah. Um, but the other thing that is like we're both doing dry January. So he we're trying to avoid any situation, and that place feels like, well, there's a 20-minute wait, but you can be at the bar. Okay, we'll have a Diet Coke.

SPEAKER_02

You don't have to. You can just because they'll text you, so you can just go back out.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, because nothing's on open table. I checked.

SPEAKER_02

Just go to a store next door. There's a nice soap store next door. You can get a bath soap, a bath bomb, if you will.

SPEAKER_00

I love a bath.

SPEAKER_02

I know.

SPEAKER_00

But anyway, I will report back. Um also I saw this thing on TikTok. Did you guys did you see this restaurant that's like out on the lake and you you eat inside of an igloo?

SPEAKER_02

No. In Big Bear. I wish I would have known that.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, you probably wouldn't have fallen.

SPEAKER_02

Probably not.

SPEAKER_00

Maybe slipped.

SPEAKER_02

Well, if you didn't do that, I would like to hear about him.

SPEAKER_00

I will let you know.

SPEAKER_02

Do you want another birthdays for the Dolly Parton is 80?

SPEAKER_00

Love that. Actually, really happy because I thought she was much older.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_00

She's good. We're gonna have her till she's 100, I guarantee you.

SPEAKER_02

For sure. Which is what? Gosh, speaking of a hundred.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

What is that guy's name? In Mary Poppins.

SPEAKER_00

Dick Van Dyke.

SPEAKER_02

Dick Van Dyke. He just is celebrated like another hundred birthday.

SPEAKER_00

He's 200?

SPEAKER_02

Wait, how old is he?

SPEAKER_00

I think he's 90.

SPEAKER_02

No, I think he's a hundred.

SPEAKER_00

Dichlass Van Dyke?

SPEAKER_02

1925. He's 101. Wait. December 13th. Oh, but that's not Brady Spears. That's Taylor Swift's birthday.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, so he just turned.

SPEAKER_02

He just turned 100. And I saw a video of him singing Let's Go Fly Kai, and it literally made me cry. He's so sweet.

SPEAKER_00

What a life.

SPEAKER_02

Ugh. Wow. Um, anyway.

SPEAKER_00

That is like that is in pro that's he's married to someone that wasn't even born until he was 50. I know.

SPEAKER_02

She's like in her 50s, right? Or 60s, maybe. 50s?

SPEAKER_00

She's in her 50s, yes.

SPEAKER_02

Uh, R.A.P. Mac Miller, his birthday would be today. Jody Sweeton is 44. Logan Lerman. Do you know him? He's an actor. He was in that incredible show about the um it's like set in the 70s, and they're like Nazi hunter hunters.

SPEAKER_00

Never saw it.

SPEAKER_02

I told everyone I knew to watch the show. It's so good. But he's like the main guy in that. He's 34. Sean Johnson, the gymnast, is 34. Which did you get any did you do the Olympic thing?

SPEAKER_00

No.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, I had to wake up the other day, was uh the day that the lottery lottery registration opened. So not even the lottery, like, but I had to wake up so early. I was up at midnight because I didn't know if the site was gonna go live at midnight.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And then I didn't. And then so then I set an alarm for 7 a.m.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_02

Because we found that that was the time. Woke up and I was in the virtual queue for an hour and 15 minutes before it let me even register to have the opportunity to be in the lottery.

SPEAKER_00

Oh my god.

SPEAKER_02

So I will I'll find out in April if I got chosen to be in the lottery.

SPEAKER_00

Wow. And then from there, I'll possibly So it's a lottery before the lottery. Yeah. Um I think I'm gonna like ideally, I will not be here for two.

SPEAKER_02

I really want to go to something.

SPEAKER_00

And I get that. Like you love those things. I don't.

SPEAKER_02

I know it's going to be a nightmare.

SPEAKER_00

I love the camaraderie of it all, but like I think being in LA and not caring enough about sports will make me very frustrated.

SPEAKER_02

I understand. But yeah, I it's a kind of a once-in-a-lifetime thing for it to be in the city that you're in. I know it's going to be a nightmare, but like I would love to go see gymnastics, swimming.

SPEAKER_00

And do you know how the lottery even works? Like, is it a ticket to any of the events?

SPEAKER_02

I don't know exactly how it works works, but or like if you're offered a ticket. Yeah. It asked me my top things I would like to be to see.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Which like I'm sure they're everyone's top. Everyone's top because it was that. It was gymnastics. It was tenant or uh gymnastics. I think I did beach volleyball, uh, track and field, swimming. I don't know, I got to do like five. Okay. And then like the countries that I cared about. So after I picked the US, then I was like, what countries are good at gymnastics? China. So I put China down. I thought that might be a good strategy. And I put Jamaica down because they're good at running. Running, yeah. And so to see the track and field, I tried to be strategic.

SPEAKER_00

Clever.

SPEAKER_02

So we'll see. But I don't know. They might just be like, here you can get in the lottery for beach volleyball. The most random sport that I have never heard of. And like I will still go because like still fine.

SPEAKER_00

Sad we're not gonna get to see Ray Gunn.

SPEAKER_02

I know. Breakdancing is out.

SPEAKER_00

They were like, no, never again. This is actually no, actually bad.

SPEAKER_02

But Sean Johnson is 34, and then Sean Wayans is 55. And that's all.

SPEAKER_00

Very cute.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

All right. Well, everyone, have a wonderful week. Thanks for listening and watching.

SPEAKER_02

We'll be seeing you.

SPEAKER_00

And we'll see you then.

unknown

Bye.

SPEAKER_02

Goodbye.
