Shocking Neighborhood Crime

SPEAKER_00

First of all, someone murdered someone the next street over. I saw it on Facebook today. I was like, that looks like my street. Sure was.

SPEAKER_01

Oh my god. Wait, what street? Like, don't say it, but the main one. Okay.

SPEAKER_00

That's right out there.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Go to the next side street.

SPEAKER_02

Okay. Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_00

But like it it was right on the corner of the main street and I was like, hold on, I passed that. Sure enough. Ew. It was like specific murder. It wasn't like random. Someone sought out to kill me.

SPEAKER_01

Well I f RAP to that person. I feel bad for that.

SPEAKER_00

Speaking of, we lost ro we lost Robert Duvall. We lost Wabo Duval. Gotta look up Robert Duvall. You'll know right away. A face you know.

SPEAKER_01

I do know this guy. Um.

SPEAKER_00

But if you want to do this, I'm looking at the list.

SPEAKER_01

I'm looking at the list. What would I Four Christmases? No, I've definitely seen him in something.

SPEAKER_00

Four Christmases is good. No?

SPEAKER_01

I didn't watch The Godfather. Gone in Sixty Seconds, I've seen. Deep Impact, I've seen.

SPEAKER_00

Great movie. Sad. That impact was deep.

SPEAKER_01

Oh my gosh, he's in so much.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, well, he was like 80 something, or 90 maybe even. Hundred? Who knows?

SPEAKER_01

Let me tell you, he was born in 1931. 95.

unknown

Wow.

SPEAKER_00

Wow.

SPEAKER_01

That's the year my grandpa was born.

SPEAKER_00

That is a long life. Robert, thank you for your service as an actor.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Creative.

SPEAKER_01

A very iconic movie as well.

Hosts Reset And Lunar New Year Traditions

SPEAKER_00

Very, very. You couldn't even. The hey threw you off.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I'm Allison. He's Alex. Yeah, you did throw me off. Well, happy lunar new year.

SPEAKER_00

I okay, so Do you have anything red on? Well, I had red panties on for the I also have red panties on. But I did work out, so I have changed. I don't like the word panties. I know you don't.

SPEAKER_01

Not in the context of like a guy wearing it? No, no, no. In general. Like if I'm telling the public, I'm gonna say underwear, undergarments.

SPEAKER_00

Well, mine were more of a panty shape.

SPEAKER_01

That's fine.

SPEAKER_00

Like a bikini brief.

SPEAKER_01

What's a panty shape?

SPEAKER_00

I feel like that.

SPEAKER_01

So you're saying like a like a like a boy short is not a panty?

SPEAKER_00

No, that's a boy short.

SPEAKER_01

Let me keep saying the word.

SPEAKER_00

Panty, I feel like is a very like specific looking underwear.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, I just thought it was like a cute way to say underwear. Sound off in the comments.

SPEAKER_00

Panties is a specific kind, I feel like. Because when I say when I jokingly am like, oh, I'm wearing my panties, it's because I'm wearing like a wearing like a Brazilian cut. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, I just feel like it, in my definition, it is just like a cute way to say it. Because if you're like talking cute to like your partner, if you're like my underwear, that it doesn't sound as like dainty and cute as panties.

SPEAKER_00

Does any sentence with either of those words is trying to think? And like the throes of passion, are you saying something about your panties? I guess maybe.

SPEAKER_01

No, I'm not like I'm not saying you personally. But it is just like cuter.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

You know what I mean?

SPEAKER_00

Give me those panties, girl. Whoa, whoa, whoa.

SPEAKER_01

Wow. We are really starting off.

SPEAKER_00

So I did have red panties on.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, cute.

SPEAKER_00

They're not anymore.

SPEAKER_01

I put this red sweatshirt on.

SPEAKER_00

And it's quite red and cute, and I like it with the chains.

SPEAKER_01

I got this from Depop.

SPEAKER_00

Love. So if those of you don't know, Chinese New Year, you're supposed to wear red, not wash new.

SPEAKER_01

Lunar New Year.

SPEAKER_00

Athari.

SPEAKER_01

Lunar New Year. I think, honestly, I think it's both.

SPEAKER_00

Don't wash your hair. Don't take out your trash. Don't do your laundry and wear red.

SPEAKER_01

What happens if you did like two of the three?

SPEAKER_00

Well, it just is like a little bad luck. It's just like you're basically sweeping away, washing away, or getting rid of the abundance of money that you're supposed to like you're welcome to do.

SPEAKER_01

I'm gonna get a third less money.

unknown

Dang it.

SPEAKER_01

I did have to take out the trash. I think it was like bad.

SPEAKER_00

It might be red, you might be redeemed because it is our year. It is the horse.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, I got a little bit more.

SPEAKER_00

It is not the metal horse, we're the metal horse.

SPEAKER_01

Which I like that.

SPEAKER_00

Iron. I think it's wooden. It's fire. Fire horse.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, I thought it was wooden.

SPEAKER_00

Right now?

unknown

Fire.

SPEAKER_01

I don't know. Okay.

SPEAKER_00

It's the fire horse.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

The horse this year is fire. Anyway.

Valentine’s Day At Home: Lasagna And Red Velvet

SPEAKER_01

Alright. Well, happy lunar new year, everyone.

SPEAKER_00

Happy Lunar New Year.

SPEAKER_01

I hope everyone has a prosperous year.

SPEAKER_00

Year of the horse. Do you want to come up here with me?

SPEAKER_01

And speaking of red, Valentine's Day was the other day.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, it was. Did you have a Valentine's year?

SPEAKER_01

I did. Did you?

SPEAKER_00

Yes. I did.

SPEAKER_01

Did you formally ask each other?

SPEAKER_00

No.

SPEAKER_01

What did we oh we just had a night in? He made dinner, which was nice. He made a delicious lasagna.

unknown

Whoa.

SPEAKER_01

And I spent the whole day slaving away because I'm not good at it.

SPEAKER_03

We had a cake.

SPEAKER_01

I made a red velvet cake from scratch.

SPEAKER_03

How to turn out.

SPEAKER_01

Pretty good.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

I did, I it's in my carousel on Instagram. Um it is. It was hard. Because I don't know. No, no, no. Like it the task was hard. Oh. The cake was actually very much not hard. It was it was a good sponge, I will say. I think it may be a little too soft. You know what I mean? But so I watched a lot of baking shows, as you know, and I was trying to think of things I hear them say. So I was like putting it in the fridge in between so it didn't get too warm while I was like I let it cool, and then as I was making the icing, yeah, I put it in the fridge for a little bit so like it could get cold or whatever. But even when I was spreading the icing, I think I got the icing a little too cold. I don't know. It was hard to spread the icing without the cake like coming up. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

For future reference, if you dip your knife in water first.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, I also didn't have like a the correct type of icing spread.

SPEAKER_00

It's what's so annoying is I do have that. Why?

SPEAKER_01

Why?

SPEAKER_00

I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

I didn't have like a turntable either. I also oh why didn't I ask you?

SPEAKER_00

Because why would I have that?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I did order like piping bags, so I had that.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

But I was just like using, you know, like a table knife to spread it.

SPEAKER_00

Was Josh surprised and excited?

SPEAKER_01

Well, he wasn't that surprised because he came over in the middle of the day, which I wasn't expecting to give me flowers, which was very nice.

SPEAKER_00

Cute.

SPEAKER_01

And that but I had like the kitchen was a mess, and there was like covered in flour, like and there was like cream cheese everywhere. And he was like, What are you doing? And I was like, Don't worry about it.

SPEAKER_02

Chill.

SPEAKER_01

Or yeah, something like that. And he was like, Okay. And so then when I showed him later, I was like, he was like, I kind of had like an inkling because you like acted weird.

SPEAKER_00

So something was up, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

But he said it was very good.

SPEAKER_00

So that's very precious.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And then you guys just watched movies or something?

SPEAKER_01

We watched a rom-com. It wasn't which one? Rom from a coup I know I said that. Like, should we watch Valentine's Day? It was from a couple years ago. It was um Gabrielle Union. Don't remember what it was called. Was it cute? It was cute. It was a little bit a little low budge, I think.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, a little low budge.

SPEAKER_01

Let me look. And you can tell me what you did.

SPEAKER_00

Well, we did absolutely nothing. Um was Valentine's Day Friday? Saturday. Saturday. Oh, yeah, because Friday we went out for Angela's birthday, and that was wild.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Well, we can circle back to that.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. Saturday was Valentine's Day. We woke up, so I stayed in at his place because we were in West Hollywood.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, okay, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Which is where he lives. So we got up casually. Oh yeah. And then Shannon made us lamb tacos for lunch, with which were delicious. Yeah. And then we loaded up and came to the valley here where we lit candles and like just had an afternoon and evening by candlelight. We did watch the movie Valentine's Day. And then we watched just like action movies, but like end of world disaster movies, you know, cozy movies. Just to put you in the mood for what's about to come, you know. And then we agree to not exchange gifts, but I cannot do that. Of course. I wrote him a very nice card, basically being like, and really mushy, but just basically being like, I can't believe how many amazing memories we've already made in our short time together, and I can't wait to make more. And then as a gift, I got him like Target Target's games where like buy one go and 50% off. So I got two like couples games, like get to know me better games for us to play.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Can you even believe it that I forgot to bring your card again today? It's sitting by the door now. I've moved it from the kitchen to like my coffee table, and now it's directly next to the door.

SPEAKER_00

So it's getting closer. It's getting closer.

SPEAKER_01

Still forgot it. So if it makes it into the car next, then it will just be in the car.

SPEAKER_00

We do, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

So sorry about that. I just thought about that in this moment.

SPEAKER_00

It's okay.

SPEAKER_01

But you know what? It'll be a fun birthday extension when you get so that that was our Valentine's Day.

SPEAKER_00

It was our chill.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Same. The movie was called The Perfect Find.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Let me read you the thing.

SPEAKER_00

The synopsis.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. After a high profile firing, Jenna's fashion career comeback hits a snag when she falls for a charming, much younger coworker who happens to be her boss's son. As sparks fly, Jenna must decide if she'll risk it all on a secret romance.

SPEAKER_00

Jenna.

SPEAKER_01

Sounds like a good description. Um, I don't know. It wasn't my favorite. Like it was cute, and there were the act, like the actors were good and cute. Yeah. Liked them, loved Gabrielle. Love. There was just like some plot points that were odd.

SPEAKER_00

Made by someone.

SPEAKER_01

And just I think they didn't have a huge budget, which is fair. So it feels very like lifetime vibes. It's a very Netflix lifetime vibe.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, okay.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. So it's like, you know, you know what you're getting. Yeah. And it was a cute movie to watch. So I wasn't upset that we picked to watch it.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, great.

SPEAKER_01

But that's what we did.

SPEAKER_00

Um circling back to Friday. Oh, yeah. So Friday was Angie's, our friend Angela, who's been on the pod a few times, you know her face, and also she's part of our viral video. Um she, which is now starting to pop off on TikTok.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, it is?

SPEAKER_00

It was like cruising around 30. I had no idea that it was held. And overnight it's up to 75.

SPEAKER_02

Oh.

SPEAKER_00

And I'm getting so many followers from it.

SPEAKER_02

I love that.

SPEAKER_00

So I'm glad that we're continuing.

SPEAKER_02

I had no idea.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Why can't you collab on posts on TikTok? Can you not? Well, I've seen some accounts have, but like I feel like you guys would be if you could, right? Why aren't you?

SPEAKER_01

I don't know.

SPEAKER_00

I'm not saying that we can look into this later, but yeah, there I've seen because when someone posts one that is a collab, it has these two circles next to it and it lives on both profiles. I cannot figure out how to do it. So I'm wondering if it's like a yeah, you I feel like you might have enough followers for that feature if that is a feature.

SPEAKER_01

Let me go look.

SPEAKER_00

Also, I think you should post it on Facebook. You should post it on Facebook.

SPEAKER_01

I do think I yeah, I I agree. Because Facebook is the target audience.

SPEAKER_00

It is.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, okay. Nice. 80,000. It's up to 80?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, last I saw it was like 75.

SPEAKER_01

All right. Well.

SPEAKER_00

And it's so funny, all of you who are not this, these people at all, but the people commenting who are like, wow, I'm it's so weird seeing Allison with other people. Or you guys look like that fitness marshal group.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, people think I just hang out with the same looking people.

SPEAKER_00

But I think there are some people that aren't clocking that it's you. I think they're just like scene three, us three that all you are you, but we vaguely resemble Caleb and Haley and Duff that they're like, whoa, trippy. It's like those people that dance together.

SPEAKER_01

Got it.

SPEAKER_00

That's what I think.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, because I'm also wearing like normal clothes, correct? Which is jarring, I guess.

SPEAKER_00

And flipping your hair a lot, which I don't like. Well, that's normal. Oh, sorry. Okay. Without a headset, though.

SPEAKER_03

True.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Um, so yeah, we went out for Angela's party. It was wild and crazy Friday the 13th. For many reasons, it was wild and crazy, but it was a good time. I feel like Angela had a fun time.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

She was very hungover the next day.

SPEAKER_01

Lots of cute pictures. Were you hungover? Yes. I had a headache. Um, I got a McGriddle from McDonald's, which is crazy, but it really hit the spot.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that sounds amazing.

NBA All-Star At Intuit Dome: Fun And Friction

SPEAKER_01

And I took an ibuprofen and then I had to drive for like so long because I locked myself out of my apartment. I it was just one of those things. Where did you sleep? At my apartment.

SPEAKER_00

I'm sorry, you left your apartment to go to McDonald's.

SPEAKER_01

No, no, no, no, no, no. I slept in my apartment.

SPEAKER_00

When?

SPEAKER_01

I had to Friday night.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. Oh, so before you were able to sleep in your apartment, you were locked out. Tell your story. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

So I wake up in the morning. I have I'm hungover. I have a headache. And I'm like, I need to go charge my car. So I was like, I'm gonna stop. What do you need when you're hungover? McDonald's, obviously.

SPEAKER_00

100%.

SPEAKER_01

So I'm like, I'm gonna go grab breakfast at McDonald's and then I'm gonna sit and charge my car.

SPEAKER_00

Honestly, were you excited? Were you just gonna like put on Netflix in the car and just like chill?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. And I needed to go to the grocery store because I needed a couple more ingredients for the cake. So I was like, I was pretty early-ish. I feel like it was like nine, like 10.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

And I was like, I need these things, so I'm going to go charge my car, I'm gonna get the ingredients, I'm gonna start baking so that it can be done in a timely manner, and I'm not doing this up until the time that Josh is gonna come over, which is actually what happened. Because I walk out my door, pull it shut, and then just stand there and stare as I because I've realized that I have locked myself out, and I know that he is at a referee thing for hours. So I just am like, there's no way. And then I text him and I'm like, hey, um, whenever you're done, just let me know because I need to get my key from you. I've locked myself out. Because I was like, even if it's a couple hours, I can entertain myself. I need to go to the girl, I need to do these things that I already needed to do, and then I guess like I can just like go to the mall or something. I don't know. I looked like insane because I was just wearing like trash because I didn't think I was doing any of that.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And he was like, Well, I think I'm gonna be here like longer than I thought. So you might, if you want to come grab it, like just come and I'll hand it to you. And he sends me the address, and it's like Hollywood, like close to downtown-ish. And I was like, Cool. So it took me like 45 minutes to get there, and then he was like in the middle of you know, refereeing, so I had to wait for a break in that, and then he gave me the key, and then driving home. So wait, did you wait stuff?

SPEAKER_00

At what point did you do McDonald's and stuff before that? I did charge my car.

SPEAKER_01

So I yeah, I did that because I couldn't, I had like 11%. Like I had I couldn't do anything. Oh my. So I didn't start baking until much into the afternoon, which I didn't love.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. And all while I'm right, where did this come from?

SPEAKER_01

Well, you asked if I was hungover. Got it.

SPEAKER_00

Next day, because it was a fun night. We had a good time out. We went to West Hollywood, we started at Rooster Fish, we barhopped for a little bit. I mean, it was it's crazy how like when you're done, you're done. A real idea. I have to go right now. Like, yeah, not a m I can't because I know if I had stayed any longer that the Uber ride would have killed me. Even though we were just going to Chad's, which was like eight minutes.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I was like on the verge of barfing. Oh my god, we got back to his place and I could not order Shake Shack fast enough.

SPEAKER_01

But you have to order it before, so it's there when you get there.

SPEAKER_00

And it still got there so fast. But I what I will say is here's my take on West Hollywood. I don't love it. I cannot believe how expensive drinks are at these stupid dive bars with like low-quality booze.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I looked at my Venmo transactions the next day and it was like$54 at High Tops. How? For two drinks?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, it's not good.

SPEAKER_00

Upcharge during the weekends.

SPEAKER_01

I don't know. Because we get drinks there after Dodgeball sometimes.

SPEAKER_00

I don't feel like it's ever that.

SPEAKER_01

Maybe they do.

unknown

I don't know.

SPEAKER_00

And then in a plastic cup, I'm sorry if I'm paying that much. Where's my glassware?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, right. What? There would just be shattered glass Brittany Spears everywhere.

SPEAKER_00

Brittany Spears. Yeah, you're right. And then rooster fish. Seemed normal prices there. It was like$11 a drink.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Normal. But you're selling me two Diet Coke sodas with lime and high tops with tip was$54. Get out of here.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Someone took advantage of me.

SPEAKER_01

They did. I'm sorry about that. Anyway. I'll be honest, didn't I still haven't looked at my credit card?

SPEAKER_00

I was like, what?

SPEAKER_01

I want to.

SPEAKER_00

Anyway, but it was a fun night. I'm glad we were able to celebrate Ange. And um can't believe it was such a busy weekend. Do you know that I had to look at my calendar for coming up and this is what my life looks like?

SPEAKER_01

Tell me.

SPEAKER_00

Caitlin gets here on Wednesday.

SPEAKER_01

Like next Wednesday.

SPEAKER_00

A week from tomorrow.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

And then she leaves Sunday, that Sunday. So Friday to Sunday. Saturday, we're doing, you know, Pasadena. Sunday, she leaves. Sunday night is Emily's party, birthday party. Then that very next weekend is your party. And then the weekend after that is Chad's friend Annie's party. There's no end in sight for my plans.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, there's two times a year this happens to me personally. It's this time of year, and then it is summer, like July-ish. June, July, or July, August. One of those two. Yes. Same thing. Like everyone has their birthdays at the exact same time.

SPEAKER_00

Or in this case, in my case, I will say, I have my boyfriend and one of my friends' birthdays in October, and then nothing stops.

SPEAKER_01

Because Thanksgiving, because Christmas.

SPEAKER_00

Halloween. It's birthdays, Halloween. Thanksgiving, Christmas.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. So yours is this time of year.

Techy Stadiums And Lost Jobs

SPEAKER_00

My birthday. You, Susanna, Emily, now Annie. Annie and you have the same birthday.

SPEAKER_01

At some point, we just have to say we're done.

SPEAKER_00

I've in like what truly.

SPEAKER_01

We just have to say we're done.

SPEAKER_00

It's like, gosh, why is the summer busy for you? Other friends have birthdays then? The fitness marshal people.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Haley.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, like why is everything not spread out? Why were our parents all getting it on at the same times of year? Holidays. For us, it's like Memorial Day time.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. Nothing gets you in the mood like Memorial Day.

SPEAKER_00

That three-day weekend.

SPEAKER_01

Fair, I guess.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Anyway, so busy times ahead.

SPEAKER_01

Well, on Sunday, Josh and I got um to go to the NBA All-Star game, which I know you uh don't love.

SPEAKER_00

I thought football was done, so that's crazy. Oh, it's basketball.

SPEAKER_01

So this is that this is the middle of the season because it's the all-star break.

SPEAKER_00

There's never a stopping in sports. There's never an all-star.

SPEAKER_01

They do that on purpose because you know, one sport ends and the other begins.

SPEAKER_00

Capitalism.

SPEAKER_01

Basketball ends in like June, or yeah, right?

SPEAKER_00

And starts in July.

SPEAKER_01

May? June? Something like that.

SPEAKER_00

But doesn't it also start like um no? I feel like I would go to my sister's games and it would always be cold out.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, you are talking about high school. Like school.

SPEAKER_00

It's different.

SPEAKER_01

I I think a little bit. Because like the NBA goes way longer than school does. School goes to the ball.

SPEAKER_00

But the longest is like the longest is baseball, right?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, they have a pretty long season, yeah. The shortest is football.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, okay. By the way, I'm sorry I diverted you. You're you went to the all-star game. That's what I'm saying.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, he had a friend that offered us tickets and we went. So the game was at the Intuit Dome, which is a new stadium that was made for the Clippers. Because but previously the Clippers and the Lakers both played at the Staples Center slash now crypto arena.

SPEAKER_00

Who are the Clippers?

SPEAKER_01

The other LA basketball teams.

SPEAKER_00

But like professional?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, we have two NBA teams, the Lakers and the Clippers.

SPEAKER_00

Who's better? Do they ever play each other?

SPEAKER_01

I don't know record wise. I think people are more excited about the Lakers because it it just like is the cooler Kobe.

SPEAKER_00

Do they ever play each other?

SPEAKER_01

Probably, I assume, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Follow-up question.

SPEAKER_01

I don't watch them, so I don't know.

SPEAKER_00

Is the All-Star game the same as the Super Bowl? Is the All-Star to Basketball?

SPEAKER_01

The NBA, the NBA finals are the same thing as a Super Bowl.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, so what is this All-Star game?

SPEAKER_01

The All-Star is like mid-season. They have a break and they it's like a fun game where they pick like the best players. Different teams. And they all come together and play. And so Oh, that's kind of fun. Right. They just like they throw them together. And there's usually like the USA versus the world, because there's a lot of players that come from other countries.

SPEAKER_00

So it's like I'm intrigued by this actually.

SPEAKER_01

Um the player from the played from the Pacers, is his name is Pascal Siakum. He's from Cameroon. Then there's like the a really tall guy named Victor Wimbenyama. He's from France. So that's like they played on the world. And then US players are people from America. This time they did it differently, and there was like three teams. There was like two USA teams and a world team. And then they played shorter games, and they did it sort of like a like a bracket. Yeah, a bracket style where they played like four short games. So there was like you they each played each other, and then whoever won out of the last one then got to play in the last game.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

So to game-wise, the beginning and end were kind of not as exciting. The middle games were really cool. Like there was like the all-star game is kind of like he's hurt. Right. So he couldn't play. But they're kind of like the time where they are like doing cool dunks and God, they have a little more fun because it's not. Yeah, they're just like kind of Is it for charity? No.

SPEAKER_00

I don't think so. For profit.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I guess. Oh, okay. It's just like a fun thing for the fans. There's like a celebrity basketball game that you've seen like Justin Bieber has played in before.

SPEAKER_00

Didn't know any of that, nope.

Traitors Spoilers And Strategy

SPEAKER_01

And there's like a it's a whole week of stuff. There's a slam dunk contest one, there's a three-point contest on one day, there's a celebrity game. My gosh. It's like a whole thing because like it gives the other players a week off, basically. And then if you're in the All-Star game, then you have to play in it. And it's like a new city each year.

SPEAKER_00

And today it was LA. This year it was in LA.

SPEAKER_01

And so the first game, they were kind of like not doing much. And then the last game, it was kind of a blowout. The two USA teams were playing each other, and the team that like LeBron was on, they got beat by a lot. So I don't know. But the middle games were fun. There was lots of cool stuff going on. Obama was there. I saw him with my own two eyes on the Jumbotron.

SPEAKER_00

What did he play? Oh no, no.

SPEAKER_01

He was just attending. Got it. I didn't really see him in person, but I saw him on the Jumbotron.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_01

And then there was like cool performances. Red Panda. Do you know her? I do, yes. She performed, she killed it.

SPEAKER_00

Oh wow, okay.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

That's cool.

SPEAKER_01

Um, so yeah, but I do what what I want to talk about is the Intuit Dome.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, tell me.

SPEAKER_01

This is a new stadium. It is too high-tech for no reason. It's like trying to me, it looked like it was trying to be like the Google office or like the YouTube office app, like things like that. And it was like you have to download the app in order to get in, and then you have to agree to facial recognition. And then in order to buy any food or drinks, you know, at the airport, like I think it's Amazon, where you before you walk in, you like scan your thing and then you get your food and then you just leave. Yeah, all the food and drinks were that self-screen. So like no one's working. There's like one person monitoring. But like, you know, in which I I don't love because it's like those people, that's a job for people.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

That it just like doesn't exist anymore. Yeah. Stadiums have at least, I don't know, I feel like one uh like lap around on whatever floor probably has like 16 food and drink things. Yeah. And each of those have at least four or five people working in them. So they've taken away all of those jobs and made it self-serve and tap to pay. And then there's one person working that's just like making sure you open your alcohol before you leave, basically.

SPEAKER_00

And was there congestion in that situation?

SPEAKER_01

No, there was. I'm I'm actually so confused because this place, there was thousands of people in this arena. I went into the bathroom, not a single person there. Going to get the food and drink, it was like we were the only people. I don't know. It was really weird.

SPEAKER_00

Unfortunately, I'm wondering if they're onto something and it's created a like very efficient way of moving.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, it's just like it feels too high-tech.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, it's like but are they like what about hot dogs?

SPEAKER_01

You just grab it.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, they're just like pre-making this stuff.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. So what I didn't love is the food was kind of like you couldn't see it. So everything was kind of closed up. There was this like Korean beef bowl or something, and we were like, Oh, that sounds good, but in order to look at it, you would have had to touch the box and open it, and then it's like you have to buy it because you can't just touch a box and open it. Right. And we were like, Well, that seems yeah, that's risky. So I just got chicken fingers because like you can't go wrong with chicken fingers.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that's true.

SPEAKER_01

But yeah, I don't know. And the way that it was built, it was very much the more vertical than out.

SPEAKER_00

I've driven by it, and it doesn't seem as big as SoFi.

SPEAKER_01

Right. So, but I do think there's more seats in there because they've instead of you know a normal stadium, like a normal. Have you been to Staples Center?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, oh yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, so like it's more flat, yeah, but outwards.

SPEAKER_03

Correct, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

This was more vertical, like it was actually scary walking down the stairs for me as someone who has just fallen downstairs. I had to give Josh like my drink and be like, I need to hang on to the rail.

SPEAKER_00

Wait, even more than like Sofi felt for us.

SPEAKER_01

We were just at the very top.

SPEAKER_00

You're right. It doesn't feel like that all the places.

SPEAKER_01

No. Yeah. So, but what was weird is that we were on, we were kind of in an upper section, and our seats were we seemed very high up. Okay. And we were like, this is crazy because we're in the second section, but we feel so high. And there was like a a guy on a computer right in front of us, like, I don't know, a journalist of some kind. Oh, okay. And the computer was kind of in the way of a little bit of the court. And so after we got some food, we were like, let's like sit somewhere else and just like wait. And someone tells us to move, we'll move. I know. My nightmare too, but I just said, you know what, you take care of it, and I'll just follow.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

We went and sat same section, same level, just like a little bit around the curve. We sat there and we were like, this is an optical illusion because it looks so much closer right here. We were dead ass, like why exactly something with the construction. Yeah, they have like the physics of uh however they have designed it. Nuts. It's like you're high up, but you don't look as high up in some areas. I don't know. Didn't love it. Wasn't my favorite stadium.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, okay.

SPEAKER_01

Game was fun, it was fun to go. That's a long story.

SPEAKER_00

Well, I had no idea. I had no idea you did that. That sounds very fun.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, it was fun. It was kind of a last minute thing.

SPEAKER_00

Honestly, that is a kind of basketball game I think I could have fun at. Because it's more just like, wanna have them.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and there was like I was upset that there was not Pacers representation there, other than the one player. But like they had dancers and mascots from all these other teams. It was like the Brooklyn Nets dancers were there. The I don't know, there's another team in the Chicago Bulls? No, I didn't see them, but they did have their mascot there. Oh so it was like they had representation uh in other ways from other teams. Yeah, and there was not a single pacers thing, and we were like we were in the finals last year, okay. I wore a shirt, a shirt, pacers shirt. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Well, um that's ex- What day was that?

SPEAKER_01

Sunday.

SPEAKER_00

A packed weekend all around. True, yeah. And we had Monday off. What'd you do yesterday?

SPEAKER_01

Nothing.

SPEAKER_00

Same.

SPEAKER_01

I went to the gym.

SPEAKER_00

Groceries.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Groceries.

SPEAKER_01

Groceries. Stanley, are you so cute?

SPEAKER_00

He's a proper gentleman.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, cutie.

SPEAKER_00

Um okay, so what? Traitors.

SPEAKER_01

Traitors.

SPEAKER_00

Did you watch?

SPEAKER_01

Yes.

SPEAKER_00

You don't seem very confident.

SPEAKER_01

I'm trying to think when it was. But yeah, that was just so long ago. Now it feels Thursday? Yes.

SPEAKER_00

Feels long ago, or since we've talked about it. I'm afraid to say what happens in case you haven't seen it.

SPEAKER_01

No, I definitely watched it.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, spoilers alert spoiler alert ahead if you haven't watched the latest actually two episodes of Traitors. There's another one that has been out by the time this comes out.

SPEAKER_01

You have ten. That's a long time. Three, five, four, three, two, one.

SPEAKER_00

Who do you who got out? Who was eliminated?

SPEAKER_01

I think I just can't remember, like in general. Tell me.

SPEAKER_00

Here's what they said when and they exited. See if this will spark it. I'm a faithful, you blew it.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, Steven. Yeah. Yeah, okay. That's a fierce thing to say because they did blow it.

SPEAKER_00

It is. I'm a faithful, you blew it. Um kind of shocked.

SPEAKER_01

I yeah, I thought Johnny, something must have happened prior to even the round table. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

We got a cut a condensed edit.

SPEAKER_01

Because I was like, no, this feels like or yeah, or something happened, sorry, in the round table that they just cut out.

SPEAKER_00

That's what I mean. Like there was more going on to make them get to Steven like that.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Um, I think he played an okay game in general, but like you're just too quiet. Too quiet. And how annoying for him to be like, God, no guys.

SPEAKER_01

They the only thing they had to go off of was Lisa gave him the coins in that one episode.

SPEAKER_00

Yep. I believe I think the traders are gonna win.

SPEAKER_01

Which I like, I like. I think it's more exciting when the traders win.

SPEAKER_00

I think unfortunately, this the the ice dancing queens are gonna be the ticket to them winning. They're gonna take them down with them.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Their whole alliance thing was just so stupid and random. It was like, you guys, no, it you actually are making yourselves look worse.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I don't know from the start, I don't know why anyone would think that they're not friends. I would have been in there and been like, there's no way, unless you guys had a public feud. Correct, that that's the only way.

SPEAKER_00

Tara has been. I just watched an episode of Sabrina the Teenage Witch with her in it. Like she's been around, yeah. And so has he.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

The circle of famous ice skaters is quite small. Yeah, you guys know each other, but then the way that they handle that, like we're best friends. Actually, so she told me and I believe her.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and they were like, So you both could be lying then.

SPEAKER_00

Like, what do you mean?

SPEAKER_01

What do you what do you actually mean? Because if you and I were in there, there's no way that I wouldn't be like, there's a strong chance that you're a traitor. And I love you. And same. Let's just shut up about it and let's both get there and just see what happens.

SPEAKER_00

And like, sure, they both happen to be faithfuls at this point.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

But it didn't help their game by being like, guys, we've been pulling one over on you. We're best friends.

SPEAKER_01

People because also it's against the rules to if you're a trader, to say you're a trader. In the whatever. So if you and I are in there, there's no we can't tell each other. Correct. I can't be like, hey, look, I'm a trader. Just like let's get there, and then or I'm gonna try to recruit you, so just like relax. I don't know. That's against the rules. Correct. So of course, if we're both in there, there is we cannot trust each other 100%.

SPEAKER_00

Not 100%, correct. Yes. And so I was just like, Moira being this whole thing of them being like, they but it backfired a little bit, I think, for them. Because that all it made people do is be like, okay, so you guys are in an alliance that could both be traitors. What do you mean?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, Moira being like, how like, why do you why?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Like, okay, you're best friends, but like, how can you trust? And um, what's his name from Dancing with the Stars? Why can't they give his name right now?

SPEAKER_03

Mark.

SPEAKER_01

He was like, Yeah, if one of my friends from my show was on here, I would not be able to trust them 100%. What do you mean?

SPEAKER_00

Exactly. And that is really it, and and again, I say the fact that they're thinking that it benefits them because they both know that they're faithful, but they don't actually know 100% if the other one is.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Or anyone, it's a game of trust.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And the and you shouldn't trust anyone 100%.

SPEAKER_01

I feel like if she would have worded it differently, maybe if she was like, look, I we are best friends, and like, sure, we should have told you before, but we were scared that we would have been targeted. Number one.

SPEAKER_03

Right.

SPEAKER_01

Number two, I know him so well that I can tell when he's lying, and I do not think he's lying to me.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I feel like that's a better way of just being like, I trust him at like 100% okay.

SPEAKER_00

Well And when was it Moira that was like to him? She was like, and you trust her? And she asked him why, and he was just like, I just do.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that's not a reason. Like, have you ever played Monopoly with your friends? Have you ever played like any board game with your friends? Like anything with trying to win.

SPEAKER_00

Correct.

SPEAKER_01

And if you're not trying to win, then why are you here? For one. Right. I digress. Anyway, how does does I know we have all the information, but like truly, how is no one on to rob?

SPEAKER_00

No, I don't know. I don't is it just because he's hot and they're just like And like stealthy and confident enough that people just Eric's gone next episode.

SPEAKER_01

Sorry. 100%.

SPEAKER_00

100%.

SPEAKER_01

See ya.

SPEAKER_00

Sidebar, are you seeing these videos going around of like vid footage of him performing at concerts and people are like, you're telling me this person is a traitor and it's like he's so h-pop dancing?

SPEAKER_01

Um I know you may don't like him, but I love him.

SPEAKER_00

I don't know, I just think I just like he it was a smart move for Rob to bring him because he will absolutely get himself caught and killed on this show.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Do you think is there time for him to recruit someone else? I can't. How many episodes are left?

SPEAKER_00

There no, there can't be. There's gotta only be like two episodes left. But I think that's think of him like Rob Boston Rob back in his heyday. He's that attitude.

SPEAKER_01

He is, yeah.

GoFundMe Backlash And Celebrity Grief

SPEAKER_00

It's that very much like this is how it's gonna happen, this is what we're gonna do, don't worry, it's fine. And then of course I wouldn't be like, okay.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Dorinda was on. Do you watch the podcast of um Bob the Drag Queen and Rob? Not regularly. Boston Rob. Oh my gosh, it's hard to say. They I've been watching it just because they're fun. Yeah, they do the official Peacock podcast of it, and they're like really cute on it. And um, they had Dorinda on to like do a little interview. And Boston Rob was like, okay, so now like knowing what you know, like do you think that it was like not great of you to blindly follow Rob? Yeah, and she's like, No, I just loved him so much. And even though he voted me out, like I'm like happy about like she was like, I don't care. Like, I love him. I she's like truly, I think, like in love with him.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, like sounds like she's a thank you so much for voting me out.

SPEAKER_01

Like, and Boston Rob was like, what are you talking about? Like, this is a game that you wanted to win.

SPEAKER_00

Right.

SPEAKER_01

It was weird. So he's he's really has pulled on up.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that's what I think this Rob is doing. He's just got this like big dick energy, and people are just drawn to it.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, for real, guys. If you have not ever watched Boston Rob's seasons, early seasons on any of them, but yes, the early one specifically to like just see his gameplay.

SPEAKER_00

It's so good.

SPEAKER_01

Because I know if you if your introduction to him was on traders, it's not it's not a fair assessment because he can't he's coming in with people knowing him so well that there's he is not gonna be set up to do well at all. So you need to go back, you need to watch um Redemption Island. Well, seasons Marquesas is his first one, right?

SPEAKER_00

Yes, yes, yes, with Amanda.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, but I don't think that's his best work.

SPEAKER_00

No, but then you can see the lore of their relationship. Yeah. That's cute.

SPEAKER_01

It is cute. Just like go back to the early seasons.

SPEAKER_00

Heroes vs. Villains. Heroes versus villains. Yeah, that was a good one too that he was in.

SPEAKER_01

So good. So good. Wow.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, traitors.

SPEAKER_01

Traitors. Um, everyone, I have bad news. I don't know if you know this. I'm sure you do.

SPEAKER_00

Probably.

SPEAKER_01

I'm so sorry to say that Mr. Hudson Williams is straight.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, I did see this.

SPEAKER_01

It is confirmed.

SPEAKER_00

He hard-launched his gal.

SPEAKER_01

He hard-launched his girlfriend in a Valentine's post.

SPEAKER_00

Because she's been by I do wonder, like, I saw that and I was like, this definitely was like her being like, please. I've played along for this long. I have been with you in the trenches. Please, please acknowledge me. It's not gonna hurt your career. And she's right, yeah. She's right. I'm a I'm talking like she did say this. Yeah. But I don't think it hurts his career.

SPEAKER_01

No, I could see her just being like, I don't want to have to like not be able to post and she's like, bro, you just put out a jock strap photo shoot.

SPEAKER_00

Like, let's clear the air a little. Yeah. And maybe he's a little bi, but he is committed to the woman he is with.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And we stand in love.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Because there's no fucking way Connor's stories is not queer in some way.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. I think too, if he if he never said anything, I think he might get a little in trouble down the road if like a year from now, two years from now, if he it's, you know, someone finds out that he's sh straight or with a girl or whatever, I think he might get into a little trouble of like queer baiting. So I think it was maybe even his PR being like I think you should probably in the post though, he did put a picture of Connor.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. And like put a heart around him.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

It's cute.

SPEAKER_01

Which is the fans liked.

SPEAKER_00

Of course.

SPEAKER_01

So, but I think PR-wise, it probably was a better thing for him.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, it sounds like they've been together for a long time. I mean, he's only 25, the baby.

SPEAKER_01

Oh my gosh.

Bachelorette Teaser, Mormon Influencers, And Scandals

SPEAKER_00

He just turned 25.

SPEAKER_01

I'm old. We're the same age.

SPEAKER_00

I'm actually older than you.

SPEAKER_01

Oh my gosh, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

A month.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

So sorry about that, guys. But it's okay.

SPEAKER_01

It is okay.

SPEAKER_00

I think it it doesn't help the why are we giving straight actors gay parts, but it's fine.

SPEAKER_01

But it's also like. Is it okay to ask someone their sexual orientation when you're casting them?

SPEAKER_00

I think it's less about that and more about like if you're auditioning someone who is openly gay.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Or like in the casting, you would be like, we would like an authentically homosexual man to portray this role.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, but don't you think that is like giving bad HR? I don't know, because like in other jobs, like think of it as another job. It's say you work, you're you are applying for a job at the gay newspaper business.

SPEAKER_00

Like, just share it.

SPEAKER_01

Wait, no, I don't know. You might not be gay.

SPEAKER_00

Query.

SPEAKER_01

Sure. On your application, it asks you your sexual orientation. I don't think that's like allowed. Or in the interview process, you're in an in-person interview and your interviewer goes, So uh, do you date men or women?

SPEAKER_00

Well, that's why I don't think you can ask it, but you can present the job position like we're looking for a homosexual to to fill this role.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Because I give I'm very back and forth on like actors playing, straight actors playing gay, gay actors playing straight. Because like sometimes an actor just does the job really well and they may be straight, but then on the flip side of it, it is a little like there should be more visibility for queer people. Because then it gives like the younger generation, like, you know, like who played Harvey Milk in Milk? What was his name? Yeah, Sean Penn? Sean Penn. Good job.

SPEAKER_02

Oh my gosh, good job.

SPEAKER_00

Wow, straight, yeah. And it's like that's an iconic historical gay figure that would have been nice to have like a gay man play for someone like me who saw that and thought that Sean Penn might have been gay and then found out he wasn't. So it's like looking up to someone in this role, yeah, we want an Oscar for it, and he's straight.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. I mean, I'm not saying I'm against it, I do agree that representation matters, but it is, I feel like now we've moved into an age of like people are so fluid, and it's like someone might be I'm straight right now, but this is why I'm and then they might decide that they are into the same sex or whatever, you know, a year from now, and it's like, but then they're allowed to change their mind back, you know what I mean? I don't know, so it is like I feel. Feel like um what's the word in not environmentally, socially, we are in a place now where it's like people are so fluid about sexuality, and so it's like, well then now but then now what?

SPEAKER_00

Right.

SPEAKER_01

Because if if you're if we're saying, you know, it's a fluid thing and like one year you're you present this way and this is how you feel, and then you change your mind, and then the next year you feel a different way, then how does that like fair rule go? I don't know.

SPEAKER_00

Totally fair, and I'm not real I'm this is it's a question mark for me too, because I would love I would love more representation, but at the same time, it's like if you get Ryan Reynolds in the room and another and a gay actor, uh Jonathan Bailey, and they audition for this this gay role, but Ryan is so much better at it, then it is like, well, then yeah, what do you do in that situation? I think it gets a little tricky with trans people because like the movie Trans America that was huge and like revolutionary, played by Felicity Huffman who is not a trans woman, like that would have been a situation where it's like, let's use a trans actor who can like speak to this experience, or like, what's that one that was huge and now that person's cancelled? Um Amelia Padis. Oh, right, that movie that like swept the Oscars last year.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Trans actor playing a trans person, yeah. That's a good call.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Although they ended up being very problematic. Um so I don't know. Because I agree, like, sometimes it's just like they're just better at it. But I guess in this this see, this is what happens, and this is why I can never get to a conclusion. Because I'm like, but when milk was being made, we were in a time when like gays in Hollywood was like known, and there were some, but people probably talked about it. So what would have happened if a gay actor actually like got the chance to audition and then was better than Sean Pennant? You know what I mean?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

A-List Of The Week: Ocean Calm And Cookies

SPEAKER_00

So it's I guess less about that. And really, I guess the answer is it sh we should get to a point where it just doesn't matter. Whoever's the best at doing it should just get the job.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

But like give gay actors a chance.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, 100%.

SPEAKER_00

It's a chance, yeah. You know, anyway. I don't know. And that is all I'm gonna say about that.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. Um, speaking of Hollywood, so last week we talked about James Vanderbeek's um GoFundMe. Oh. Well, the GoFundMe that was made from his passing, but I did hear that there was some backlash on that because there are people are like people die every day and they don't get$2.5 million to their family. And it's like I feel like I knew I felt like that was gonna happen. So I understand the frustration from people, but it is also like he has six kids.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And I guess like all of his money was spent on cancer treatment. Yeah, pretty much.

SPEAKER_01

So it's like I don't know, I I feel like if he was like still alive or something and there was a GoFundMe for his treatment, I think that's maybe where it would be like, okay, you're you're still alive, you're a celebrity, you're in a different place, you have access to, you know, places and doctors that a normal lay person from middle America that makes$30,000 a year.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

It's it is different, but because he has six kids, I feel like they it is a privilege for them to get that, but I don't think that the criticism is like as I don't know.

SPEAKER_00

Also, like, sorry, he's a celebrity. Like this this stuff happens.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And like a lot of people, you included, were very moved by his body of work. And so maybe people want to just like say that they helped out Dawson. Yeah. You know what I mean? Like, I don't know. I shouldn't.

SPEAKER_01

And we don't know what's gonna happen. Like, maybe his wife helps start a foundation for you know, cancer research or like kids or something, and helps give back to communities and people who are less fortunate. Like, give them a chance, maybe to turn it into something positive for other people. I do get the criticism, but I also feel like it's going to kids that don't have a parent anymore, and I don't know.

SPEAKER_00

I'm okay with it.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Personally.

SPEAKER_01

What do you want them to do? Be like, no, we're not gonna accept this.

SPEAKER_00

He was a celebrity. Sorry, they have to suffer.

SPEAKER_01

What? Yeah. Okay. I don't know. Um I have two things I can go with. You don't care about The Bachelorette, correct?

SPEAKER_00

Nope.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

I know that she's from Secret Lives of Mormon Hose, but she is.

SPEAKER_01

And though the the only thing is it hasn't started yet, so the NBC ABC? ABC released the trailer teaser for her, and like it looks pretty bad. Like I made it on iMovie.

SPEAKER_03

What?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, basically they put her in front of a green screen and she's walking down uh this like runway and she's passing like all of all of her scandals she's been in. Oh, and she's walking forward, and it just looks like cheap, cheaply made, if you will, and like the editing is like very yikes. Yeah, so there's just like criticism on that, and it's like, is this how the season's gonna be? I don't think so because they have a lot of money, and you know, all the seasons have looked the same for all these years. No, this is Taylor Frankie Paul, Taylor, right?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, done some things, yeah.

ANTM Doc Tease And What’s Next

SPEAKER_01

So, and then she walks out, she walks through the like phone or mirror or whatever, and she has on this like really pute pretty red dress as she's walking, and then she walks through the phone and she has like sweats on, and she's like, Maybe I just need to be myself. And it's like she's like a girl that wears sweats, and like same. So I'm not mad about that, but it just doesn't look is she a practicing Mormon? You know what? I don't know over there. I think that there's levels of it as there is like you know, there's people who are like reformed in the Jewish uh faith, or like um what are the words? It's just like there's levels to how closely they follow all the practices, right? And like in the on the show Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, like some of them are more devout, if you will, than others. Okay. And Taylor is on the end where she drinks.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, okay. She has coffee.

SPEAKER_01

She has coffee, she drinks, she wears like revealing clothes. So I think she like maybe quote is practicing or she like is Mormon. She identifies as that. Oh, okay. But she is more on the very low end.

SPEAKER_00

I see. Okay.

SPEAKER_01

I don't know all the terms, so don't come for me if I'm not saying things correctly.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, okay.

SPEAKER_01

But um Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Well, we'll see.

SPEAKER_01

But yeah, she has lots of scandals. She was a part of the swingers thing. She got arrested. She got pregnant out of wedlock, if you will. Um, and I don't know, just on the show. There's lots of fighting going on, lots of arguing. I don't know if that's all the scandals.

SPEAKER_00

I just will be curious.

SPEAKER_01

Like, but I have started watching the show, and I'm really like I'm having a great time. I'm on season two.

SPEAKER_00

Wow. How many seasons are there?

SPEAKER_01

I think three.

SPEAKER_00

It's just like as a guy going on the bachelorette, right? You don't know who it is.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Well.

SPEAKER_00

You find out like from what I've heard from I know two people that have been on the show. You find out like the week of.

SPEAKER_01

I thought because they have been selecting the next person from the pool of people who didn't get picked the year before. They've been doing that for like most of the seasons.

SPEAKER_00

I feel like they But it's teased though, right?

SPEAKER_01

I feel like they announce it at the like finale or like at the reunion show.

SPEAKER_00

If she was announced, we'd know.

SPEAKER_01

Taylor?

SPEAKER_00

Like at the end of the last season, if she was announced as the Bachelorette, I feel like it would have been dangerous.

SPEAKER_01

She's been announced for a long time.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, I had no idea.

SPEAKER_01

They just did the trailer just now, but people we've known that she's oh okay. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Then never mind. So these guys know who what they've been doing.

SPEAKER_01

They do know too. Yeah.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Because like then you can apply because you want to date this person. That's how it's been for a long time.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, I've been out the loop.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Yeah, you have.

SPEAKER_00

I have.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, well, on that note, shall we get into the A-list of the week? Yeah. A-list of the week. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

What's yours?

SPEAKER_01

Okay. I actually have this prepared and it's something new.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. Mine's not something new, but it bears repeating. Go ahead.

SPEAKER_01

Is it anyone but you?

unknown

No. Not you.

SPEAKER_01

No, I've been really into these underwater videos that these people they take their GoPro. No. Don't roll your eyes.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, sorry. I thought you meant like the uh AI underwater mermaid mermaids. Continue.

SPEAKER_01

No, it's these people that in real life they take their GoPro and they set it at the bottom of the ocean. Not the like deep bottom, but like, you know, on a reef or something. Okay. And so it's like deep enough that there's lots of life happening. Okay. And they'll just like leave the camera there for like an hour or something at sunset. And then they capture like all the fish and the sharks and the whales singing in the distance. And it's just like kind of ASMR. Like there's no other sound, there's no music. You're just hearing the sounds of the ocean. And like you're seeing like I the ones I follow are in Hawaii. So there's always like sea turtles swimming by and like really pretty fish. And it's just like calming my nervous system. I'm gonna send you on the next one that pops up for me. It's just like such a nervous system calming video that comes up while you're scrolling, and they'll always be like, um, sunset in Hawaii.

SPEAKER_00

Like, do they show up putting the camera down? Yeah. Oh.

SPEAKER_01

It's nice.

SPEAKER_00

Because GoPros have like a cool ASMR sound to them.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. And you hear the whales singing in the background.

SPEAKER_00

Cute.

SPEAKER_01

So cute.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, that's a good one.

SPEAKER_01

Thank you.

SPEAKER_00

Mine is chocolate chip cookies. Let me explain. So I have I have been blessed with a tremendous amount of chocolate chip cookies over the last week. They brought them into the office last Wednesday. Don't remember where they're from, but they were brown butter chocolate chip cookies that were phenom. Boyfriend got me Susie cakes, chocolate chip cookie cakes for my birthday cake, and those were bomb. He's so cute.

SPEAKER_01

And then it was good, I can say.

SPEAKER_00

And I have just been living on chocolate chip cookies, and it bears repeating that very little can there's very, very few things can't be solved with the good attitude you have after eating a chocolate chip cookie.

SPEAKER_01

Wow.

SPEAKER_00

And that is a fact.

SPEAKER_01

Nestle, sponsor us.

SPEAKER_00

Please.

SPEAKER_01

Nestle Tulla. I actually have a thing of chocolate chip cookies that I bought when I was when we came over to uh hang out. Angela.

SPEAKER_03

You still have them.

SPEAKER_01

And um I forgot to bring them, much like I f I keep forgetting your card. And they're in my fridge. They're probably gonna go bad soon, to be honest.

SPEAKER_00

Fridge? Were they bacon?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, okay. Eat the dough.

SPEAKER_01

They're it's like puff. It's like different.

unknown

Puff.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I can think they're like supposed to be puffy and not flat.

SPEAKER_00

Puff.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, but it's like a take and break.

SPEAKER_00

Bake and take?

SPEAKER_01

Break and bake.

SPEAKER_00

I'm so curious. A puff.

SPEAKER_01

I'll show you a picture.

SPEAKER_00

I'd like to see.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Can I tell you the birthdays for tomato?

SPEAKER_00

I'd love to hear it.

SPEAKER_01

February 23rd.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Dakota fanning is 32.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, by the way, I was supposed to be born on February 22nd.

SPEAKER_01

And why weren't you?

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

And why weren't you?

SPEAKER_00

I was born 11 days early on February 11th and weighed 7-Eleven.

SPEAKER_01

Oh my gosh. 7-Eleven merch is fire, by the way.

SPEAKER_00

I know. I have some.

SPEAKER_01

Oh yeah. Okay. Emily Blunt is 43.

unknown

Oh.

SPEAKER_01

Josh Gadd is 45. Speaking of the Mormon wives, Macy Neely, you don't know who she is, but she is 31. She is one of the Mormon girlies. Samara Weaving is 34. She's in that one.

SPEAKER_00

It's coming out soon.

SPEAKER_01

I thought it already came out.

unknown

Nope.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, Evan Bates, the um Yes, the cutie little backflipper.

SPEAKER_00

Wait, what?

SPEAKER_01

Evan Bates is the husband of the husband and wife pair.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.

SPEAKER_01

Ilya is the one. And he did fall a lot and got a really bad score. But to be fair, I saw in the thing that like 10 out of like the 15 guys fell. And so it's it's this ice's problem.

SPEAKER_00

Because guys try to go too hard.

SPEAKER_01

No, no, no. I think that they haven't been managing the temperature of the ice that well because Apollo Ono, who I love, um, he was commentating on the speed skating and he was talking about how like the ice has been super soft and the speed skaters like the ice to be hard.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Because it it makes them go faster. And so and they skate in the same arena. So I think that that arena, they're having some temperature issues because of all the body heat that's in there.

SPEAKER_02

Damn.

SPEAKER_01

And so if 10 of 15 people like are having a hard time, I feel like maybe check yourselves.

SPEAKER_00

Right.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Anyway, I'm not an expert, so well, sure. Um Nisi Nash is 56. Love that queen. Kenny from Love Island, who we don't like from last two seasons ago.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, Kenny kicked Ross. I can't believe you left her.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Well, he cheated on her.

SPEAKER_00

I can't believe you cheated it. Good for you for leaving him.

SPEAKER_01

Yep. Aziz Ansari is 43. Okay. Oh my gosh, that's it. But before we go, and for next time, I started watching the first episode of the America's Next Top Model documentary. I'm excited. I haven't finished it, so I don't have that baked of an commentary about it. Okay. So for next time, we both need to have something to say about it because there's a lot happening.

SPEAKER_00

I'm just like, how legit can it be if Tyra's involved in making it?

SPEAKER_01

So I allegedly, I got this from another podcast. She wasn't the one making it. She came in, they brought her in right at the end to do some to speak on it. To speak on it. So I don't think she has creative control of this. Because people are saying she isn't looking that great.

SPEAKER_00

We're releasing this, whether you like it or not. Would you like the chance to do it?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I do believe the Jays and um Nigel were like and the uh guy who was like the head of Oh, the head producer. Yes. I think they were doing it and then they brought her in at the very end. Allegedly, that's what I heard.

SPEAKER_00

I also heard like there's it's coming back.

SPEAKER_01

She does want to bring it back, it seems.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

I don't know about that.

SPEAKER_00

That's what I'll do. I'll come be on this documentary and then I'll bring the show back. I am unsure of what that well, I'd love to see it because I can't wait for the first episode to be posed for my hot ice cream brand.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I don't know how they do it in today's climate and make it not be problematic. Problematic. All for her trying. Sure. I suppose.

SPEAKER_00

Would love to see what this entails.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. But I think for next time we need to be have seen and have a watch up. Okay.

unknown

Cool.

SPEAKER_01

All right. Well, thank you everyone. Um, and I do want to know, is it intimidating for you to call in to leave a speak pipe because it's calling and speaking? So what are you more inclined to ask a question if it's written in? Because maybe that's less intimidating. So please comment below if that is something.

SPEAKER_00

Or even just to say anything. You don't have to ask. Just be like, Yeah. I have something I'd like to say when you guys talked about this. This is how I feel. Go off queens.

SPEAKER_01

Yes. Like if you have commentary you want to give us in whatever form, are you more inclined to do that through writing? Yes. And if that's the case, then we can create an email that's just for that. Yeah. So I do want to know that below. And please follow, like, subscribe, all of the things. We love you so much.

SPEAKER_00

Thank you guys. Bye. Have a great week. Bye.
