Hilary Duff Night Recap
SPEAKER_00Okay, so what? I was at uh we I have to update you on Hillary Duff.
SPEAKER_02Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_00I went and saw Hillary Duff, you guys.
SPEAKER_02Everyone did beside everyone. Literally, I felt like the only person not there, and I did have FOMO.
SPEAKER_00It was crazy. So many people went, including like I we had better seats than Megan Trainer. We had better seats than Demi Lovato's.
SPEAKER_02Wait, what? Yeah, like saw her? You like saw her walking up to Dallas?
SPEAKER_00We saw Megan. We saw Megan. We did not see, I saw in Demi's stories.
SPEAKER_02Wait, does she not have like a tent like Taylor?
SPEAKER_00No, she didn't, not at the butt. It was the most, it was like it was exactly what you'd want a Hillary Duff concert to be. It was just fun and cute and laughy. Did I I already told you about the drama when we tried to go out and do it?
SPEAKER_02Oh yeah, but you tell them.
SPEAKER_00Briefly, I'll let you guys know that during Hillary's set, there's four songs that I was like, I could be okay without this.
SPEAKER_02Can you tell me these songs? Because I don't think you told me those songs. Do I even know them?
SPEAKER_00No, you do not know them. It's like some of the it's a coup a couple tracks from her newest album that I like, but I was like, if I have to pee or we want to go have a smoke break, like this would be the time. And then it was Fly, which I know a lot of people love, but I never really connected to Fly.
SPEAKER_02Give me a line. In a moment, everything can change.
SPEAKER_00Oh, okay. It's the I don't know the I open up the mud of you. That's not it's like the emotional power balance. That's not my vibe. The music video is like from when she was on tour a hundred years ago, and it's just like black and white footage of her like being artsy. Yeah. But Chad loves that song. So he was like, I want to get back for that, which was the last
The Smoking Break Re-Entry Mess
SPEAKER_00of the four. I was like, anyway, guys, we go out. I know it's 2026. You cannot enter, you can't leave and go back into a venue like that.
SPEAKER_01Which why?
SPEAKER_00Guns. I imagine it's for safe.
SPEAKER_02It's yeah, but you I think it's just you go through the exact same check you did when you came in. Like, what is changing?
SPEAKER_00Funny you say that, and I will tell you why. Um, so I also know there's designated smoking areas at most venues. So we went out, guys, we walked out of the just like from the doors that go to the arena. So it's just like the roundabout concessions are. Then there's a set of doors that go out, and we were VIPs, so we had our own entrance. So we went to that security guard still inside the venue. Hi, we want to smoke. Where's the smoking section? And the guy points around, he's like, over around there. And I I saw that there were two ways to go out and around or up and around. And I said, up and around to the terrace. He went, no, no, no, out and around, out. And we were like, okay, because again, I don't want to get kicked out.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00We walk out past another security guard, maybe five feet from the security guard, still within the barricades, but like out. Yeah. I was like, oh, yeah, this must be the smoking section. Yeah. I spit my gum out in a trash can. We stand by the trash can, we smoke a little bit. This is important. And then as we're walking back, we're just like chatting about to go back in. And the security guard that we had passed, the second security guard we passed was like gave us so much aggy. I'm not gonna go into all of it, but he was mean and he was like, I don't know about anything you're saying. All I know is you gotta get out of here. Like he kept putting emphasis on it like that. Oh, he's power tripping.
SPEAKER_02Like planned. Like, what am I gonna say?
SPEAKER_00And like, because he saw us walk past him and go right there to smoke. We were smoking right next to him.
SPEAKER_02It didn't look like you were leaving.
SPEAKER_00Correct. And he didn't even say, like, Chad was like, Why didn't you say something like you guys know re-entry if you leave? Like, no, didn't say anything. Before we fully got out. He's like, You saw that we came out here and and that we were like, we just talked to that security guard. So the security guard that told us to go that way is maybe 20 feet from us. He can hear everything that's going on, and I just keep saying, Will you please talk to him? Talk to him, ask him. I tried to clarify where to go. Yeah, why would we leave halfway through a concert that we're we paid for VIP tickets at? Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. And if we're leaving, why would we stop to smoke? Correct. Why wouldn't we just walk and smoke?
SPEAKER_00And he was just like, he just wasn't hearing it. And then boyfriend was like, get someone else that can actually help us because you're not being helpful at all. Yeah. And he was he called in, he's like, someone from the house is coming out. So we wait, and this woman comes out and she's like, What's going on? And so I explain very calmly to her, and blah blah blah. This guy said this, blah blah blah. And now this guy is acting as if we like have ran out of this place and he didn't see it. This whole interaction happen. Yeah. And he went, and then like walked away from us. I'm sure you're fine. I'm gonna go check with him. I'll be right back. She goes to the security guard that initially told us where to go. And boyfriend was like, he's gonna lie because he doesn't want to get in trouble, which is fair. I also was like, Yeah, you're probably right. He's I was like, I think we gotta probably just leave.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00She comes back. He was honest. He was like, Yeah, you told she goes, here's what happened. I'm the team lead, I'm the lead. And I told them where the employee smoking section is. Yeah, he did not know that there's a separate smoking section for people that are attending the concert. So he was correct in where he was telling you to go. If you were an employee here, that is on me. I'm gonna take you guys back in. Thank God. The security guard that didn't want us to come back in was like so mad.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, because he looked stupid.
SPEAKER_00Oh, he looked stupid as fuck.
SPEAKER_02So then, like, but again, I said this before when you told me this story. I don't understand people. I don't know. Why can't why couldn't he just be like, oh shoot, yeah, that's a weird situation, and just automatically just be like, let me call the lead and then we'll figure it out. Like, there's no need to ever be mean and rude.
SPEAKER_00And I'm sorry, we're like two dressed pretty gay, gay guys. Like we're very non-threatening. We had a clear Hillary Duff bag.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and just be like, hey, like, we're probably gonna have to go through your stuff again.
SPEAKER_00And this is why I said, Oh, well, this is fun. So this woman's like, I'll take you back, but she's like, all you have to do is go back through security again. Yeah, no fucking shit.
SPEAKER_02Like, why I that's what I don't understand, like the no re-entry thing. Like, I I totally get it. Yeah, but it is like it's a very easy thing. It's annoying. Like, yeah, oh, you have to go all the way back to the front entrance and you have to go through. Like, if you're cool with doing that, then that's what it is, yeah, type of thing.
SPEAKER_00But I know, I don't know. So we got in right at the last chorus of fly.
unknownOh, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Well, at least you heard something.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and then we got to finish out the show, and we what dreams are made of was her closing number. And like, I love that song, but I also knew that we would be in a sea of frustration if we stayed for the whole thing. So I I was like, let's stay through one verse in chorus of what dreams are made of. I will feel fulfilled, and then we will dart out of here. My god, if we had waited even 30 more seconds, it would have been because everyone else did the same thing. Yes.
SPEAKER_02Did she take a shot on stage at yours?
SPEAKER_00She took wine. She has a wine fridge that's like matches it, looks like it's part of the stage, and she just opened it. So millennial. Yeah, it was so incredible.
SPEAKER_02I just I saw a clip of her taking a tequila shot, and we're the same because she her face was like, it's the worst thing ever. And I was like, Yeah.
SPEAKER_00It was a great show. We had a great time.
SPEAKER_02Her outfits were really cute. So cute. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And we were so close. Like, we could like I could see her sweating. Yeah. So it was really, it was really nice.
SPEAKER_02She's human.
SPEAKER_00She's human. But yeah, she was just like also her vocals were like, Hilary Duff isn't the strongest vocalist, but like you know what you're getting into, and she sounded so good. I was just like, this is great. Our openers, the first person didn't know who they were, but the second one, Laroe. LaRue. This time, baby, I'll be real.
SPEAKER_01I think it's real.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, didn't know until Chad made the connection. He's like, Oh my god, you know this person. And then when she performed that song, wow, the crowd went wild.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's fun, like melodic.
SPEAKER_00The music's so good. I was like, okay, I'm gonna check this out because she's she's really good. Um and that was Hillary Duff a week ago. It was so nice.
SPEAKER_01Fun.
Recording Delays And Internet Chaos
SPEAKER_00Welcome back to the A-list podcast with Allison and Alex. She's Allison. I'm Alex. Listen, last week was a virtual episode because Alex has been busy as fuck. But um, doing the intro that we do is impossible to do over virtual. We learned because there is always a delay in a virtual recording.
SPEAKER_02We'll just split it up, maybe. When we do it.
SPEAKER_00Welcome back to the S podcast. Oh, yeah. Allison. Yeah, I don't know. Just split up the words, but yeah.
SPEAKER_02I mean, so it ended up being good, but that was I I think my my internet is crazy, but like it showed whenever we do a speed test, it shows it's like great. So I don't I don't understand the speed test is lying or what, but it's always like speed test looks good, like whatever. But I have a hard time downloading stuff from Caleb and then that upload.
SPEAKER_00Do you have Spectrum?
SPEAKER_02Verizon. We switched to Verizon.
SPEAKER_00Oh, right. So it's 5G.
SPEAKER_02I know it's been it's been we haven't had we've had one outage in like a year. In Spectrum, it was every other week.
SPEAKER_00Here's what I'll say about Spectrum. We all hate, yeah, but I have by necessity, and they now have something called un undefeated unbeatable internet, un okay. Unstoppable internet.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And because we that we were like a new account, they were like, we can give this to you for free for a year. And it is a little box that sits next to our modem, our router. And I don't know how this works, but even in the we've had like three power outages and two massive spectrum outages where like even Karina was out of internet for over a day. But this thing keeps Wi-Fi.
SPEAKER_02Oh, like it's like a Starlink.
SPEAKER_00It must be something that's like satellite driven. So, like, even in the power outages, we still had internet.
SPEAKER_02Well, that's good for spectrum blackouts and pending doom and zombie apocalypse is apocalypse.
SPEAKER_00Unstoppable internet.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Um, but I was gonna say, like, I'm sure if you called Verizon and we're like, this issue because 5G should be so fast.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Because every time that we've had an issue with Spectrum in the past, you know, you call and they're like, oh, well, it turns out you need an upgrade, so we'll send that through now and then everything's fine.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I think I didn't really know if it was the issue because with Caleb's it's a long, it's like it's uh boring and unnecessary, but we switch like how we store all of our videos.
SPEAKER_00Okay. And then is it local or cloud?
SPEAKER_02Great question.
SPEAKER_00Local is like on a hard drive.
SPEAKER_02Oh no, it's cloud.
SPEAKER_00It's cloud, okay.
SPEAKER_02But we were using Dropbox before, and Dropbox download, like sometimes if it was really big, would take like for 30 to 40 minutes. It takes a lot, but for most things, like under 15 minutes to download, so like it was fine. But we switched to this thing, so it's like on my computer in my like under locations, there's a drive for it, but it is cloud-based.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And I was the only one having issues, but I also thought it could be like this company because we just could not figure out like why is it lucid link? No, it's called Synology.
SPEAKER_00Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_02But but now I don't know. It doesn't, it really no one cares. It doesn't matter. I need to look at the internet, but it was a it was a problem with getting the upload for last week, but then we thought we lost it, but then it was okay.
SPEAKER_00So that's also saying, yeah, the one section where your videos are.
SPEAKER_02Um what happened? Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh.
SPEAKER_00What happened?
The Dodgeball Game Of A Lifetime
SPEAKER_02I had the dodgeball game of my life yesterday. Yesterday? Wednesday.
SPEAKER_00Wednesday.
SPEAKER_02Wow. We literally lost so bad. So it was like a good team, and I got like seven people out, which has never happened. Like, usually I might get one to two people out.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_02On like a good game. Like I can throw, yeah, but I don't throw really hard.
SPEAKER_00And you're not scared of the ball anymore from that video you showed me.
SPEAKER_02Sometimes I am because they throw really hard. And I just don't want to get hit in the face.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, for sure.
SPEAKER_02Um, I do try to catch things, but usually it's like so hard that it just like bounces off of me.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Um, but I don't know what came over me. I just like I like took away.
SPEAKER_00Was that catch the video you showed me? Was that like early on in your seven outs or like towards the end? So you were like on fire. Yeah. So you had a lot of confidence.
SPEAKER_02I had confidence, and that brought in our best thrower. Like when I caught it.
SPEAKER_00Who's your best thrower?
SPEAKER_02His name's Nick. He came in after you left. But yeah, I was like even took over left corner, and I like got people, I like sniped people. The guy in front of me that they're corner their right corner, I got him out twice.
SPEAKER_00Wow.
SPEAKER_02Like, yeah, I don't know what happened. It was crazy. And I I'm impressed. Yeah, I don't know if it'll ever happen again, but wow, it was electric.
SPEAKER_00Who is on the team that I know still?
SPEAKER_02Sid. Jenny.
SPEAKER_00I love that Sid is still doing that.
SPEAKER_02I know. And God love her, she gets hit in the face every single game.
SPEAKER_00But how's her game doing? Like, is she still taking more chances?
SPEAKER_02I mean, yeah, but she she kind of is her role is kind of shagging and like getting the ball to other people. And then if it comes down to the end, like she'll try. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00I love her.
SPEAKER_02But I feel like she has like a a a knowledge of the game now to know what's going on, type thing.
SPEAKER_00Sure, sure, sure.
SPEAKER_02Um, but anyway, we lost so bad. Um, but but did you feel good?
SPEAKER_00You know when you lose, but you're like, that's still a fun game.
SPEAKER_02Because like people on the other team walked by and and like told me how good I did, and yeah, some of it was a little backhanded because they were like, Oh my god, you you even got me out. I don't know, like the way they said it. I was like, all right.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Uh yeah, even me.
SPEAKER_02And this girl got a video of me um making a cool catch that maybe I'll put somewhere online.
SPEAKER_00But no, you she you absolutely what were you saying last night when they when Chloe? I don't know.
SPEAKER_02I get insecure about like dodgeball clips for some reason. I don't know. I don't know. Why does why does anyone because it's very lesbian coded?
unknownYep.
SPEAKER_02No, I don't know. I just feel like I never like I'm always like looking. Like I'm not wearing makeup. I'm in it's like a it's just you know, yeah, yeah, no. I mean, yeah, but you know, I'll overcome that and I'll post it.
SPEAKER_00Yes, you will.
SPEAKER_02What else has happened this week? Nothing.
Green Day Work And A Pride Shirt
SPEAKER_00I had a two a big two-day shoot at Buzzfeed with Green Day. Happy to report they are lovely.
SPEAKER_01Aw, that's nice.
SPEAKER_00We had it was the smoothest like press junket two-day thing ever. Everyone was lovely. It was long days, but they were not like exhausting.
SPEAKER_02Did you get a screener of the movie?
SPEAKER_00No, no, but um, no, all of them were so lovely, like vibes were good the whole time. It was just like this, these are the kind of shoots that you are like this is when production is fun. Um, yeah. And yeah, you it was just true like teamwork and really good for us because us kind of hosting these press junkets is newer for BuzzFeed. And like, for reference, y'all, we have eight stages of varying sizes, and stage in Hollywood terms is like a sound stage, meaning just like a big room that can be utilized for they're like rigged with outlets and and like really high electrical panels, like so you can basically build sets and have lights hanging everywhere. We have eight of them in varying sizes from like a small room to a massive, massive one, our biggest, which is stage eight. They utilized five of our eight stages for all this. So we had teams in five. I mean, it was so many people there, and randomly we're like standing out having our lunch break, and Rob Schneider is walking around. Oh, what is Rob Schneider doing here?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I've not heard his name in a very long time.
SPEAKER_00Well, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Is he problematic?
SPEAKER_00Okay, yeah. So I was a little like, what is he doing here? Um, but no, Green Day was great, it was so busy, and but it was nice. And then we had so I've been a I've been at BuzzFeed every day. I was at BuzzFeed every day, which is rare. And then we did the Gay and Trying podcast. We had um Kane Colto. Do you know who that gay artist is? He is it was interesting to talk to him. You guys should check out the episode, it comes out in three weeks. Um he is his upbringing's similar to mine. So he was he was raised in Kentucky, Lexington. Okay, so near ish us. And then evangelical Christian, but he went the route of like youth pastor playing his own. There's two routes you can go. Fiddle, he played a violin, and yeah, yeah, there's two routes for sure. And then so the difference between him and I is he went like he went Carlins and you just put on glasses. I mean, when he deconstructed his religion.
SPEAKER_02Oh, he went far.
SPEAKER_00He went his music, is very good. He is very uh explicit um and sexual, but he was so it was so fascinating to talk to him. He also came out five years ago. Oh wow same time as that I did, and but now he's engaged and he's getting married and he has an album coming out, and his music is so good, it's just so it's like really coded in like his religious trauma and like feeling sexually like free for the first time. It's important for me to talk about these things because like Chad and I will sometimes get in discussions where like my boyfriend, y'all, has been out basically since he was 21. And I think people, even Dylan, my co-host on Game Shrine, they like sometimes I'll say or do things that to both of them, especially boyfriend, will be like, Why are you doing like why do you uh for instance? This is a perfect example, a little vulnerable here, but like Boohoo Man released a pride line of clothes, and there's nothing I would wear in public, but one of the tanks just says gay in collegiate letters. I was wearing it yesterday. And boyfriend was like, What why would you ever wear that? That's so weird. And so I had to think about it for a second. And I was just like, sorry, he didn't say weird, he said like inappropriate. Like it's just a like that's a very bold and strange thing to want to wear. And I had to think about it for a second because I was like, why would he feel that way? And then why am I also, but why do I feel this need or want to wear it? And it's talking to Kane, I was like, oh, this is why. It's because we were suppressed for so fucking long, yeah, never able to express myself, and even only being out five years, I would say only in the last like two have I really been comfortable, like not being sexual, just like being like very stand behind the fact that I am gay. Yeah. So it was like the shirt is fun because I I was I by the way, boyfriend and I talked about this and everything's fine. But I was like, it is it was like it's like, oh my god, if I were 15-year-old Alex, saw someone wearing this shirt, I would be like, I really wish I could wear that shirt. Like that's so fun. So it's kind of like for me, it was like, oh, it's just me wearing it because it's healing a little bit of my children.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I feel like you probably in 15 years wouldn't look at it and be like, that's a shirt I want to wear. 100%. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00But I was like, oh, Pride Collection, I'll support, and also like fun. I would never like I can wear this and not give a fuck if my parents see it on Instagram.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, so interesting because I saw it and I was just like, cute shirt.
SPEAKER_00Right, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Like I didn't like think anything of it. By the way, everyone, Alex wrote a very moving essay on BuzzFeed um on the website.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, BuzzFeed.com.
SPEAKER_02So, guys, go check it out. Um, I mean you saved it. You put it, you it's not saved it, you shared it.
SPEAKER_00I shared it on my Instagram.
SPEAKER_02So go look there, but also go read the article.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, we'll see. Another thing about that, so yeah, guys, I put out an article. Basically, like it's the five-year anniversary since I came out, and I just wanted to like talk about that experience and how different I feel even now, five years later.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Everyone's the support's been amazing. My sister, it was it was great because uh Caitlin and I obviously very close. She's coming out to visit in September.
SPEAKER_01Oh fun.
SPEAKER_00We uh she was like, I'm gonna be totally honest. Like, when I shared it, I was nervous about mom and dad seeing it. And but she was like in therapy, I realized it's like because we are still so pro. I mean, it's the same reason I'm anxious, which is like we were raised very much in the mindset of like you live and breathe to please your parents. Yeah, if you do anything to embarrass or upset them, you are failing as a human. Yeah, it's how they have acted towards their parents, it is how we were raised. It's just like, you know, we have our complications, but it's it's 100% like you we were expected to manage my parents' emotions.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And she's like, and I realized that's what it was. It was just like, what are mom and dad gonna think? Are they gonna be upset? She's like, and I was like, I have we have to shift this, we have to stop.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, because if you share something that they have a problem with, and if they come to you and say, Hey, why did you post that, or like, hey, can we talk about that? Then that opens up a dialogue that maybe wouldn't have been there before. Maybe it's a hard conversation, but maybe it also is like a breakthrough conversation, you never know. So I think it is like a good thing. And especially your sister had like living near them makes uh it more maybe plausible that they bring it up at Sunday dinner or something like that.
SPEAKER_00She did say she was like, they never bring this stuff up to me. I don't know why I was worried, but I think just because it's such a public display of what and I don't talk badly about them in the article at all.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00I just say that our relationship has changed permanently.
SPEAKER_02Um But like maybe they need to hear or see that. Yeah. For them to be like, you know, you never know what the what is the thing that's gonna the thing that could wake them up.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Um So yeah, check it out. It was a very it took me like two and a half months to finish, but I'm happy with it. Thanks for all the support.
SPEAKER_02Moving.
SPEAKER_00Thank
Dolphins, Dinosaurs, And Pop Culture Bits
SPEAKER_00you.
SPEAKER_02Well, do you feel like it's time to get into something that I just came to me on the drive over, which is A-list news?
SPEAKER_00Okay, yeah, I would love to. A-list news.
SPEAKER_02It's not really that kind of news. It's just like it's like what's going on in pop culture. I was just like, you know, workshopping like a transition, if you will.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02So you know, what's in the news these days? And one of the first things that I wrote down, I think is because last time we talked a little bit about dolphins, and I, although I hated that conversation, yeah. Go if you want to hear, I'm not bringing it up again, but you guys can go listen to two episodes ago.
SPEAKER_03Fair.
SPEAKER_02But I got some dolphin content then on my social media. Of course. This is actually a fun thing.
SPEAKER_03Oh.
SPEAKER_02Um, did you know that dolphins can they get high for fun?
SPEAKER_00Like it like jump high in the air?
SPEAKER_02No.
SPEAKER_00Like what makes them high?
SPEAKER_02Puffer fish. They they don't eat it, they like play with it, like, and just kind of like hold it in their mouths, or like kind of bop it around. Like they'll be like a a group of dolphins. I don't know what that is called. Pod. A pod of dolphins. They'll like find a little pufferfish and then they'll just kind of like throw it around like it's like a little beach ball, and they get high off the toxins, and then they're just like swimming.
SPEAKER_00Does a puffer fish die then?
SPEAKER_02I don't think so.
SPEAKER_00I thought that they can't deflate, like once they inflate, they die.
SPEAKER_02Well, this I don't know. That it would be sad, but I saw a video, maybe it was AI, but it was just like them just kind of like pushing it around.
SPEAKER_00Can you Google real quick? Do pufferfish die after they inflate?
SPEAKER_02No, pufferfish do not die every time they puff up. Inflation is a natural defense mechanism to deter predators. However, puffing is extremely stressful, requires five times their normal oxygen intake, and takes hours for their metabolism to recover. Well, that is sad. Oh my god. Because they're not asking for it, right? But kind of fun for the dolphin.
SPEAKER_00No kidding. I didn't even know that could happen.
SPEAKER_02Inevitable.
SPEAKER_00That is wild. Dolphins are, I wonder what they're gonna look like.
SPEAKER_02They're so smart and weird, but like cute.
SPEAKER_00Do you think that they're just an under evolved human?
SPEAKER_02Hmm. Do you think they're aliens?
SPEAKER_00We'll check back in a million years.
SPEAKER_02Well, you know what? I did start watching that um very viral Netflix documentary about the dinosaurs. Did you ever watch that?
SPEAKER_00I know what you're talking about.
SPEAKER_02Like, I really needed to hear more context on that because I could not compute.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02And and in talking, it's like, how do they know that? Like, I know it's like rocks and sediment, but like, how do they hypothesize this?
SPEAKER_00It's gotta be science, it's science-based.
SPEAKER_02But what does that mean?
SPEAKER_00Did you learn it?
SPEAKER_02No, alls they said, alls they said. Hey, alls they said is that it rained for over. So I did learn it didn't rain for a million years straight. That is what it sounded like to me. For a million year period, it rained a lot, is what like most days it was raining than not raining, is what the vibe. But there were days that it did not rain, if you will. So that was a clarification that I needed because in my brain, for a million years it rained nonstop. Yeah, that's how I think it didn't make sense to me.
SPEAKER_03Right.
SPEAKER_02But in that documentary, I only watched like a couple episodes of it. There they did show the evolution of dinosaurs from like these tiny little lizard things. And that was interesting. Okay, my own. So, you know what? I recommend it, but I also didn't finish it.
SPEAKER_00So it was a good couple episode watch. Okay. Oh, well, has a good voice. I mean, yeah, incredible.
SPEAKER_02So last episode, I wanted to talk about something, but we didn't have time.
Zoella’s Silence And Parasocial Entitlement
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_02And that is, I know you're not chronically online like me, so I'm going to give you the 411 a little bit, but then I kind of just want to talk. It's like an overarching theme, if you will. So you know the YouTuber Zoella.
SPEAKER_00Of course.
SPEAKER_02Right? This, if you guys don't know, this is a one of the OG YouTubers, um, especially British YouTuber. She did lifestyle beauty video, long like long form lifestyle beauty back in like 2012. Wait, are you thinking of someone else? Who are you thinking of?
SPEAKER_00Clozelle.
SPEAKER_02Clozelle. Oh, you thought she was meeting Peter at the perk. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Um, now I know who you're talking about.
SPEAKER_02I love Glozelle too. But no, Zoella is a yeah, a British YouTuber, makeup, lifestyle, whatever. She did long form like that, like back 2012.
SPEAKER_00Isn't she like, is she in her 40s?
SPEAKER_02She's our age.
SPEAKER_00She's our age. Okay, okay.
SPEAKER_02And then over the past probably 10 years, she transitioned to mostly like vlog, but she does kind of like very aesthetic vlog stuff, and she's she loves her Christmas like vlogs and all that. She's just kind of like a comfort creator. Like, I watch her just like it's very relaxing, and she's very millennial and just like real, she's very rich, so not relatable like that, but relatable in like things she likes and whatever. She has disappeared from the internet, and people are in like people are mad at her. So it's not she didn't get canceled, she didn't cancel herself, she didn't like Jenna marbles it. She did her um vlogmas last winter.
SPEAKER_0325.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_02And she like it was like really good, it was very normal. And then I think like she might have done a QA one night that people ask, like, what like if if she leaves, like, how's she gonna do that? If she ever stops doing it, and she's like, I don't know, like I might just like stop one day. But she was like, That's not I don't not planning on that right now or anything. They do have two daughters now, and one of them they had kind of made the conscious decision to keep out of the well, they had like had her in, but then when she started school, they were like, Now that she's starting school, like we're not gonna have her in the vlogs anymore, and we're not gonna show her face, basically. Okay, that was like the only like thing that hadn't maybe changed over the past year. So she has she hasn't posted since her last like uh Instagram post was like the very beginning of the year, like maybe February. She has not posted anything on Instagram, she's not posted any videos, anything, just silence, and also her like fiance has not posted anything either, and everyone is mad, like all the comments are like live? Yes, so I'll get to that in a second, but um, I'm shaking like a twitch or like caffeine, or I don't know. Like, I just keep noticing my thumb is like kind of twitching. Yeah, you're gonna be like, I have a twitch. I don't know, but that's weird. So the comments for over the past like five months have been like I can't believe you would just not even acknowledge. Like, I can't you like you owe us at least an acknowledgement. And and people then like having this discourse back and forth, like she doesn't owe you anything, and then people being like, Yeah, we funded her life for all these years, like she does owe us an explanation. So that's like this discourse.
SPEAKER_03Oh my god.
SPEAKER_02Then they were just in the news that in wherever they live, they live in Brighton, I think. Okay. Um, which is like a beach town, whatever. That they bought in Australia? In England.
SPEAKER_00Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_02They have like a lot of property where they live. They are building like a donkey farm or something on the like very back of their property. And some of the local people were annoyed at them because the structure of the building they built is not, doesn't like match the aesthetic. It's a very like aesthetic town. Like all the buildings kind of look, you know, a certain way, I guess. So they were in the news for like people kind of being annoyed at them that they're building this donkey farm and they didn't like the way it looked. So that's the only news that anyone has of them. So they are alive.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_02They're just not posting. But the overarching thing is like people feeling entitled to knowing your business. Like, what is that parasocial thing? And I actually don't know where I stand because I am kind of like, why can't you just say, hey, I'm taking a really long break, or like I'm only gonna be posting like December like Vlogmas, like forever.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And I'm just letting you guys know, or hey, I'm going through something right, I'm not posting right now. Like, I do think, I do think that your audience would it would be nice to tell your audience that and for them to like not have these negative feelings towards you. Like, I think that is like a very easy way to do that. But I do also agree, as I guess a creator, people do not have the right to know everything that's going on in my life. Like, they are not entitled. I do understand the viewer, if she comes back, they totally have the right to never watch a video of hers again and never give her any views or ad sense or whatever. So it is a double-sided thing that I get both sides.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02But it is just like an interesting commentary.
SPEAKER_00Hera's social relationships are wild.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And I'm sure there's a reason, and she's gonna come back and it's gonna be this big story time.
SPEAKER_02No, I feel like it's like could be something really bad. Like they could have had a miscarriage or something and like really going through something bad, and then everyone's gonna feel horrible.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Or if it is like, I just like am I been doing this for so long, I'm like kind of over it. That is kind of a thing where I feel like people like she should have just said something.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, 100%.
SPEAKER_02Because you just like abruptly stopped. But the thing is, is like she was like so big on posting on Instagram that it's weird that she's not posting on Instagram. I even so did this thing like every her for the past couple years, she's posted every week and she'd posts a she posts a carousel of just like photos from the week. And it's like she like made a point, like her last post was like the 52nd week, if you will. Is that how it works? Is there 52 weeks in a year? Uh-huh. Okay. So it's like she like wanted to like cap off the year. Interesting. So like she did the last post, but then silent. I don't know. It's like such an interesting, like, niche side of the internet that I'm on that I'm just like waiting.
SPEAKER_00That is so interesting.
SPEAKER_02And people will post like day whatever Zoella's still missing.
SPEAKER_00I am excited to see how this pans out.
SPEAKER_02That's why I hope nothing is like wrong. Same. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Well, that's
Love Island Finale And Producer Favoritism
SPEAKER_02that. Oh, Love Island finished. We haven't talked about it, but this is the I don't know, I feel like maybe a cap since we have talked about it a little bit. Trinity and Bryce ended up winning, which was really expected, and the people, the ones that people wanted to win. What I thought was so funny. You didn't watch anything, right?
SPEAKER_00Not a thing.
SPEAKER_02So in the last episode, they send them all on a date. Okay. Like every couple gets to go on a cute date. And it was very apparent this year who they prioritized and who they did not prioritize. Why? So it's like obviously some people have to go during the day because it's all in one day that they're going on these dates. Yeah. And they kind of always save the favorites for the for the nighttime dates because that's more romantic.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02But last year, someone went on a nighttime date that was not a favorite, and then it was very dramatic, and they like broke up in the day, and it was like very awkward and dramatic. So that ended up being good TV.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02But this time they sent one of the um couples on a to a swamp.
SPEAKER_03To a swamp.
SPEAKER_02And they literally went on this, like, you know, those kind of like speed boats that go on swamps.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, oh yeah. They simply fanboats.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Although it didn't look like that, but they were like going that fast. And her hair, she had like gotten all done up for this date. Cause they don't know where they're going. They're just like, okay, it's time for your guys' date. And then they like walk and they get picked up or whatever. They get dropped off at this swamp and they're like, oh, it's like a river. It's a river, I guess. It's a river, not a swamp. But it doesn't look cute.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_02And they're like, oh, I wonder what we're gonna be doing. And then this guy pulls up on this boat, and then they get on, and she they get wrecked. Like the guy is driving so crazy. The wind is like, her hair is insane. They're just like getting wonderful. There's no way to look on them that way. And then they um have a shot where they bring them to a little table that's set up next to the Swampy River, and then they just give them like these pre-made like Jersey Mike looking sandwiches that are just like wrapped in twine to like look a little bit more artisan. And that was their whole day. And the sun is beating down. There's not a shade to be seen.
SPEAKER_00They didn't stand a chance.
SPEAKER_02They didn't put up any umbrellas. It's just like they got such a bad day. And then it cuts to like one of the couples, Anaya and Carl. They made them this like romantic storybook thing where there's like all these like lights hanging from the tree. It's at night, and there's like violinists, and they've made them this like fairy tale book that had their story, but then like cartooned as what? I know. And then like these like musicians come out and they like dance, and it's like the most romantic thing ever.
SPEAKER_00Holy.
SPEAKER_02And like I just was dying laughing at like imagine them watching that back and being like, We got the worst dates ever.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. That's wild. The discrepancies and the dates.
SPEAKER_02So that was it. Um, Trinity and Bryce won. Apparently, Bryce is like all of a sudden, all these people came out of the woodwork supporting him. The Glee cast, my friends Kyle, um Hanagami, and Leroy Sanchez posted him like because I think he also must produce music. Like they they um shared it in the context of like they worked with him musically, and I think he like DJs. But like three Darren Chris like made a story, was like, congrats, my friend, on winning Love Island.
SPEAKER_00That's so weird.
SPEAKER_02Who was this person? Like, we did not hear it was like he was presented as like, Oh, I'm a model. Okay, and that was it. And it's like he has all these famous friends.
SPEAKER_00That is so funny.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, so I guess like maybe they helped him win. Yeah, oh maybe, but no one said that during they weren't like, Oh, Darren Chris is posting vote for my friend. Like, it wasn't like that.
SPEAKER_00Okay, okay, but I don't know, it was so weird. Wow, okay. Well, congratulations, Bryce and Dolores. Trinity. Trinity.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, they're really cute. And they said they they said that I love you in the last episode, which was sweet, and it seemed like genuine, genuine. Okay, shit. Cute. Everyone loves them.
SPEAKER_00I love that.
Sad Corner Breakups And Music Loss
SPEAKER_02Well, one sad thing, then plus something.
SPEAKER_00Oh, I have two sad things. So sad corner.
SPEAKER_02Sad corner. Um, the matriarch of the Kardashians has died. Um, MJ.
SPEAKER_00MJ.
SPEAKER_02She is a big part of the show, not a big part of the show, but she's on the show.
SPEAKER_00Like, she watched any of it, like you know she's an important part of their family.
SPEAKER_02Sweet lady. She passed away, but the tell me your sad thing, I guess. Because what I'm about to say next is so trivial.
SPEAKER_00So it's fine.
SPEAKER_02Oh, okay. Well, I went to the e-news website just to like look on like any breaking news that has happened before I came over to record. There's a whole tab on e the e-news website that's just the Kardashian tab.
SPEAKER_00I love that. Incredible. That's wild. I just have never-through all their different franchises, probably.
SPEAKER_02And I guess the only other tab that was like like that is there's a royal tab. Oh, okay. Because there's always some Prince Harry and Megan articles being written. So they're just like, you know what? There's so many of these. We need to have a tab. But it's like, um, I'll just read them to you. News, photos, videos, shopping, Kardashians, couples, influencers, red carpet, royals.
SPEAKER_00Incredible. I mean, the amount of money the Kardashians have made E is That's oh, they're shows on the E.
SPEAKER_02Correct. Okay. I was gonna say, like, you could do that for like Taylor, because there's always an article. I thought it was more just like we are overrun with stories about the Kardashians.
SPEAKER_00No, I'm sure it's both, but it's also like they are such a huge part of the reason E, I think, is still even afloat.
SPEAKER_02Okay, that actually makes more sense. I was just like, wow, there's not much to say.
SPEAKER_00That's wild. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02What's your sad story?
SPEAKER_00Well, first is Chris Olson and his boyfriend broke up, and I'm sad because his one from 2020?
SPEAKER_02He has a new boyfriend?
SPEAKER_00Chris Olson. He has been dating that like British, tall British man for like over a year.
SPEAKER_02Had no idea.
SPEAKER_00And I saw it.
SPEAKER_02I see a video of his like every once in a while, but it's just him.
SPEAKER_00No, his boyfriend and him were so cute, and I got to well, so when I was I was ch Chad's plus one to a wedding, and they were there, so I like watched them interact, and they were so cute, and he was so cute to Chris, and he fucking cheated on him.
SPEAKER_02So they were public. Very how do I not know this? The last boyfriend that I saw Ian? Ian, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, no, he has dated two people since Ian, and now this one that he dated for a while, and it seemed really legit because he wasn't a like a figure, like a front-facing public figure. Yeah, and then he puts out a statement, the cheating ex-basically like, I want to respect our relationships, so I'm gonna keep, I don't want to talk negatively. I just hope we can move forward with peace and blah blah blah. Chris posts on his story.
SPEAKER_01No, you cheated on me.
SPEAKER_00I was cheated, I was insanely cheated on at an Olivia Rodrigo concert. And then the caption was like, but thanks so much for sending me here Spotify. Like he it's very Chris Olson to just be like, no, no. Actually, you cheated on it. Yeah, that's the first piece. Second is Okay, so everyone knows I have a deep love for GRL. The girl group that didn't really last because one of the members sadly ended her own life like back in 2014. Simone. And another member just died, which is so weird. That it she's English.
SPEAKER_02Have they been making music as a like duo?
SPEAKER_00No, they haven't. No, so there was four, and then Simone passed, then they replaced a couple years later, tried to get it back going again, it just didn't take. And then uh two of the founding members, Lauren, one of the one that passed, Natasha, and Emmy, they tried to do it as the three of them.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_00And they did a couple things, and then they all just went their own separate way. But Lauren was in the music industry for a long time. Her she's one of those voices, like, if you pick a random pit bull song from like 2010, she's the singer on it. Like, she's that girl where like those voices that were used in all of those songs. And then she got into GRL and she's just an insane singer. She has a she has like a three-year-old daughter and a husband. And the the official cause of death has not been released. But what's crazy is she died in early May. No one knew about it till July.
SPEAKER_01Oh.
SPEAKER_00And what I was able to find last week, I haven't looked in a week, so maybe there's more info. But what I was able to find last week is like she had some mysterious illness early this year, and her father is a doctor and had like prescribed some sort of treatment for her that she had an insanely negative reaction to. And but that was that happened early in the year, so it seemed like she was maybe doing fine again. So I wonder if it's related to that. But like Lauren Bennett is her name, everyone. And that's sad. I know it's sad because I was always I've always been hopeful for a GRL resurgence, but it always freaks me out too when like groups like lose multiple members. It's like the glee of it all, you know.
SPEAKER_02It's just like, what's the what is it's why is that following that? Feels cursed, yeah. Well, that's sad.
SPEAKER_00So we send you condolences, Lawrence Family. Also, um, another member that I didn't, I don't know if you know this. We did a dream. Oh, guys, we did another batch of millennial music videos incoming. One of them was a Dream Street song. Did you know one of those members also died?
SPEAKER_02Like recently?
SPEAKER_00A couple years ago, Chris.
SPEAKER_02No, I'll be honest, I only know Jesse McCartney. Like, I don't know anyone else's name. Fair.
SPEAKER_00Anyway, so that's it for Sad Corner. Back to you.
SPEAKER_02I don't know how to um transition, so I'm just gonna. Well, there's two two things we need to talk about.
Cyclospora, Sinkholes, And Porta Potty Horror
SPEAKER_00Great.
SPEAKER_02One cyclospora.
SPEAKER_00Who the salad disease?
SPEAKER_02Yeah. The parasite.
SPEAKER_00The parasite. What about it?
SPEAKER_02I don't know. I just feel like we need to acknowledge it. I feel like we need to acknowledge it.
SPEAKER_00Are we is there a positive Have you had Taco Bell? No, why is everyone saying Taco Bell?
SPEAKER_02No, I think because they traced back the lettuce from Taco Bell supplied by Cisco for. From Taylor Farms.
SPEAKER_00Okay, because you're now the second person to say, no Taco Bell, sorry, to pick another drunk food. And I was like, what does Taco Bell have to do with a lettuce disease?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, the lettuce like that they use, I think, came from Taylor Farms, but supplied by Cisco, so it's probably other places. I think they might have just traced back some cases to Taco Bell's.
SPEAKER_00Well, I'd like to say for the record, my Taco Bell, my Taco Bell order does not include anything that has lettuce.
SPEAKER_02It has no nothing of nutritional value. Um, Taylor Farms has kind of been in a lot of issues.
SPEAKER_03Really?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I feel like there's been like other E. coli or like salmonella, like things like that that are traced back to them. They do have good bag salads, but like I'm scared of them.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Taylor Farms.
SPEAKER_02I think we're kind of marked. There have been some California cases, but I feel like we're kind of marked safe in this area.
SPEAKER_00Cool. Well, a lot of our produce comes from our own state.
SPEAKER_02Oh.
SPEAKER_00Taylor Farms. Yeah. Got it. Copy. Cool. They saved the good stuff for California and send the pad shit into other states. That's great. Great.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. That's the big like story this week is the cyclospora.
SPEAKER_00Sinkhole in West Hollywood.
SPEAKER_02Oh my gosh, yeah. You guys, there's a sinkhole in West Hollywood. Because it's so hot here, the pipes are bursting.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And there's a like big flood that happened like from a water main break in West Hollywood, basically sunset down to Santa Monica Boulevard. Those are big, those are big streets. And you've definitely heard of.
SPEAKER_00Sinkhole is crazy.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. So didn't someone fall in?
SPEAKER_00What?
SPEAKER_02Did someone let me look this up? Yeah. Two men fell into a sinkhole that opened up on a sidewalk following a massive watermane break in West Hollywood Thursday morning. Okay. It doesn't say they died, so I think that's a good thing.
SPEAKER_00It didn't look like like the sinkhole looked like it kind of just went doo-doom. Like it wasn't like a gaping.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it wasn't like to the earth's core.
SPEAKER_00Earth's crust. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Speaking of falling in, I saw a video. This is so crazy. There was a man that was inside of a porta potty like basin.
SPEAKER_00Sorry?
SPEAKER_02Yeah. I don't know how he got in there because I actually could not watch the video. It was making me physically. Was he stuck or was he creepy? Well, he got stuck. He couldn't get out. I don't know if he lost the stuff. But they the there was an event. And then like two hours after the event, they were gonna come pick up the porta potties. And someone knocked on them to make sure no one was in there, and then one of them was locked, and the guy was like, Hello, like, is someone in there? And like you could faintly hear someone be like, Yeah, I can't, I can't get out. So they had to like bring the fire trucks, they had to like cut the door open, and then the firemen were actually kind of being like, they sounded kind of mean. Oh they were like, they like cut the like toilet seat open more to try to let him a bigger hole for him to get out, but they were like, Okay, get out. We're not like I'm not coming in there to get you out type thing. And they tone, I didn't like their tone. But how did this happen? I actually had to scroll away because it was making I physically ill.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I couldn't. Well, I wonder if he was like on drugs or some shit. Yeah, I don't think there is not there isn't an item in the world that I would be willing to give up.
SPEAKER_02What if it was a diamond? That's what I mean.
SPEAKER_00I don't think I care. I think I'd be like, no, it's okay, because then forever it would be the poop ring. I would I would not care.
SPEAKER_02Do you think that that's covered on like insurance on the ring?
SPEAKER_00Yeah. I think that would fall under lost or stolen.
SPEAKER_02Okay, a Kansas City man spent roughly eight hours trapped inside the waste tank of a porta potty on July 14th, 2026, after climbing in to retrieve a dropped ring.
SPEAKER_00Oh my god.
SPEAKER_02Mountain dew bottle. Stop. First responders had to use saws to cut the man out, then used a firetruck hose to rinse him off. Well, that was nice, I guess. This was in Kansas City.
SPEAKER_00He dropped a Mountain Dew bottle.
SPEAKER_02Wait, what was in the Mountain Dew bottle?
SPEAKER_00Right.
SPEAKER_02What? There's no way.
SPEAKER_00There had to be something else in it.
SPEAKER_02I mean, I love like Mountain Dew like the best of them.
SPEAKER_00You do?
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00I just don't really drink it because like I haven't had a Mountain Dew in a chemicals.
SPEAKER_02But like also so is Coke Zero. It's just like different cookies. But the problem with Mountain Dew is like the sugar-free Mountain Dew does not taste as good. It's not so it's not worth it.
SPEAKER_00Mountain Dew Zero is bad.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, no, no, no, no, no. But anyway, that's crazy. And he declined medical treatment and simply walked away. There's no way you don't get sick, right?
SPEAKER_00He was on something. There was something in that bottle that he had to have, and that's what sustained him for eight hours.
SPEAKER_02Well, I hope he's okay. I hope he doesn't get like a weird like illness from all the beacon.
SPEAKER_00And piss and tampons. Okay, we gotta stop. Okay. Please. All right, sorry.
SPEAKER_02Okay, the last thing I have to say is Okay.
SPEAKER_00Move on.
Pokemon Mania And Dylan Sprouse’s Break-In
SPEAKER_02The last thing I have to say is Pokemon has gone too far.
SPEAKER_00Okay. The guest on our podcast yesterday brought that as his hot take, too. So I'm curious what why yours is.
SPEAKER_02It's not really that. Like, I actually don't care, but I saw this headline of, you know, remember when Dylan Sprouse's house got broken into?
SPEAKER_00Not even a little bit.
SPEAKER_02Okay, well, his it did. And this article is so Pokemon heavy talking about the events of him warding off this robber.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And I'm just like, everyone's got a chill on the Pokemon. And I'm talking directly to my boss and co-worker.
SPEAKER_00Okay. But what are they?
SPEAKER_02They're opening cards on left and right, left, right, side. Like roller coasters.
SPEAKER_00Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_02And everyone needs to chill.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And and there's like fights happening at my pavilions I go to every other day trying to buy the cards from the vending machine or whatever, because people like want to resell them. So they go in there trying because they they sell them, they're so cheap at those things. But then everywhere else, every like store you can get them at, they mark them up really high. You can get them for like five dollars at these vending machines.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_02But then people sell them for like $60 or more.
SPEAKER_03Right.
SPEAKER_02So it's like very a very high markup. So it is like if you can get one there, it's like great, sure. And I understand it's a thrill to open them. But everyone has got to chill. I need to read you this article. Dylan Sprouse details holding intruder at gunpoint during attempted home invasion.
SPEAKER_00Holding the intruder at gunpoint.
SPEAKER_02Yes. So when did this happen? In April. Okay. So he is talking to a reporter, and he was saying the sweet life of Zack and Cody alum detailed the attempted burglary at his and his wife Barbara Pavlin's home in April that ended up with him holding the suspect at gunpoint for the first time. He says, Barbara and I were ripping Pokemon packs. After uh she pulls huge. Flash forward, it's 12:30 at night. Also, the way he's talking is crazy. Wow. She pulls huge. Flash forward, it's 12:30 at night, and I'm laying on the couch playing video games. I never lock my front door until I go to bed. I usually should I really shouldn't be saying this, but I've started now, so nice try.
unknownIt's crazy.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_02So I'm lying on the couch, he continued, and I don't hear him come through the gate, and all of a sudden I'm hearing a rattle on the front door. And the first thought that goes through my head is my dad, who comes in anytime he wants. But he would never show up at 12:30 because he's in bed by eight. Like the way I'm talking, like, really feels like the way he was.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02And the second thought that went through my head is someone's trying to steal our Pokemon cards. Get real.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02And get out of here.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Um, he noted that the couple's collection of Pokemon cards is, quote, is far away the most valuable thing in this house. That's obviously the life of that's obviously wait, what? Is far and away not the most valuable thing. Okay, that makes me feel better. Because I've read that three times when I was reading it earlier, and I also heard that's the most valuable thing. Because I just like was so shocked that he's like putting such emphasis on these Pokemon cards.
SPEAKER_00It's insane.
SPEAKER_02So his wife is the most valuable thing. Thank you for clarifying, Dylan. I calculated this because I looked at the front door cam. He shared from the moment he's trying to get from the door and turns away, 20 seconds outside with a gun. Upstairs, grabs the 1911 Kimber, downstairs, out the door in 20 seconds. This is all quote the ways.
SPEAKER_00Oh my god.
SPEAKER_02I look at Barbara and she's like, is someone trying to break in? I'm like, Yeah, stay up here. Chill out. I'm gonna get the police on the phone. The big daddy actor noted that his wife effing killed it in the moment, mimicking her holding a gun and saying, She wasn't a crow's nest out the upper floor window.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_02What is he? Is he a real person? Is he a real person? This is crazy. I'm standing by the side and I go, Who's there? He goes, Nobody. First of all, if you're trying to break into someone's house, why are you responding to this? Nobody, nobody, no one's here. And now he's over there. So I have my gun raised and he walks out. And the first thing I notice as he comes into the light, he's walking really slow and he has a cigarette in one hand and a longboard skateboard in the other. That was my immediate lock. I went, he must be tweaking.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I go, hey, follow me. We're gonna go out of my property. You shouldn't do that with your gun. You should stay on your property, right?
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Isn't that like the rule?
SPEAKER_00Correct, yes.
SPEAKER_02Um, walk slow, keep your hands out. Like, I don't want any funny business. He's like, he's thinks he's in a movie. Yeah, he's it's a plant. So he complies and he's really mellow about it. He's not crazy. Um the Disney Channel alum noted that he sensed the suspect was on something and told him, dude, I don't even know where I am. Before Sprouse noticed that he had a bunch of wires hanging out of his pockets and a huge bulge in his chest.
unknownWhat?
SPEAKER_02Case closed, he explained. Didn't press charges. He got in the slammer because of his previous arrest warrants, and I want to have him on the pod.
SPEAKER_00Wow.
SPEAKER_02Dylan is wild. Yeah. Dylan Sprouse headline Dylan Sprouse is wild.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Wow, that is quite a journey he took us on.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but also too much Pokemon in this story.
SPEAKER_00There's a lot of Pokemon in that story.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, now you want to have your one. She pulled huge. Huge.
SPEAKER_00Incredible.
SPEAKER_02He's a weird guy, right?
SPEAKER_00Strange.
SPEAKER_02That Dylan?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that Dylan Sprouse.
SPEAKER_02Is he the one that was in Riverdale? Or the other one?
SPEAKER_00Couldn't tell you.
SPEAKER_02Well, they didn't say. They just start kept saying Sweet Life on deck. Wait.
SPEAKER_00Well, no, they said Big Daddy. They said Disney alum. They said sweet life.
SPEAKER_02I am doing I just have to know because like I feel like that says a lot. If he's the one that was in Riverdale, you know? Should I do a rewatch or no? It got crazy. I can't do that.
SPEAKER_00It got real nuts.
SPEAKER_02I stopped at a good point, I feel. No, Cole was on Riverdale. Cole's the one that like broodingly like smokes SIGs in his interview, and like he's also, I think they're just weird. It's a Disney Channel thing, right?
SPEAKER_00Kid act is it's a Disney Channel thing.
SPEAKER_02Anyway, what a that was wild, and I had to share because that is wild, Dylan.
SPEAKER_00Wow.
SPEAKER_02And put the Pokemon cards down for like a month.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, just one. It'll it'll pass. It's a phase.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
A-List Of The Week And Farewell
SPEAKER_00Well, is it time for A list of the week?
unknownWoo!
SPEAKER_02Do you have one?
SPEAKER_00No.
SPEAKER_02Okay, I have one, but like, whatever. It might be TMI, but also like everyone grow up.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Is it FIFA?
SPEAKER_02No, but that is the ending this week.
SPEAKER_00Thank God.
SPEAKER_02No, it's period panties. What about wear? I don't know. I just discovered them at my old age.
SPEAKER_00What is what is the difference? Like, what are they? What makes them?
SPEAKER_02They're kind of like reinforced for non-leakage.
SPEAKER_00Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_02And well So they're like spanks? It's like wearing like a panty liner, but like not.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_02You know what I mean? Yeah. And like, wow. I just never go.
SPEAKER_00Does it just give you more confidence that you're all good?
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_02And like sleeping-wise, I think it's like nice. A lot of girls are on the like free bleed train, which like I don't know if I can fully buy into just yet.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02But you know, if there's an apocalypse and the tampon oh right, industry collapses. Yeah, like it's nice to know.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02But I I just honestly am cheap. I never got them because they're like a little bit more expensive. Sure. And then last month I was like, no, I'm doing this.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_02And they are actually really nice.
SPEAKER_00So okay, well, you heard it here. Don't wait till you're 35, 6.
SPEAKER_0136.
SPEAKER_00Put your period panties now.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00My A list of the week is going to have to be Hillary Duff. Listen, the new album is very good. So give Hillary Duff a listen. Mature. It's such a good single. Yeah. Luck or something, I think, is the name of the album. Luck or something like it. Luck or something.
SPEAKER_01I feel like there's another word. No?
SPEAKER_00No, because the tour is the lucky me tour. I think it's luck dot dot dot or something.
SPEAKER_01I'm looking. You're so right. Luck or something. Luck or something. I just feel like there was another word.
SPEAKER_00It does feel like luck or something like that. It feels like it should be. You're right. We love you, HD.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, she is one of the Disney Channel alums that isn't super weird.
SPEAKER_00No.
SPEAKER_02So that's good for her. She made it out.
SPEAKER_00She lives a relatively normal life.
SPEAKER_02And yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I know. Hillary Duff.
SPEAKER_02Hilary Duff. Well, everyone, thank you so much for listening and watching and joining.
SPEAKER_00Commentary, commentating.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. If you guys could share and rate. Yeah, do the things like maybe maybe you haven't done in a long time, or maybe you never have. Since we went on our hiatus, you know, we got to get the word back out that we're up and running.
SPEAKER_00Gotta get it going again.
SPEAKER_02If you could, you know, help us out a little bit. That'd be great. And we love you so much.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, have a great week, and we'll see you next time.
