We bounce from Dubai travel memories and questionable coffee trends to gym culture, reality TV drama, and the oddly specific stuff our algorithms won’t stop showing us. Along the way, we trade stories that are funny, nosy, and a little too relatable, then land on the shows and songs we can’t quit this week.

Compression Socks And Dubai Memories

SPEAKER_00

Hello.

SPEAKER_05

Hello. Speaking of espresso, I tried the oh I don't usually wear headphones, but sometimes I like to because I You look like quite the aviationist.

SPEAKER_01

Is that a technical term? Nope. I have no idea.

SPEAKER_05

But you do look like you're flying a plane.

SPEAKER_01

Cute.

SPEAKER_05

In like a cool way.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, yeah. That's all I want is to be a cool. I like you with compression.

SPEAKER_05

Sorry.

SPEAKER_01

You sound nice with compression.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, on the on the mic. Thank you. No? Is that all we meant? Yes, on the mic. I think I mean like compression socks.

SPEAKER_01

I love when you're working on your circulation.

SPEAKER_05

Do you ever wear them when you're flying?

SPEAKER_01

No.

SPEAKER_05

I don't some people do.

SPEAKER_01

I think you should as you get older, right? Probably. PSA.

SPEAKER_05

To prevent blood clots.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, that's important.

SPEAKER_05

I think I did wear like not technically compression socks, but like tighter like cruise socks on the international flight I was on.

SPEAKER_01

To Dubai?

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Remember that? That was a whole thing.

SPEAKER_05

I actually thought about that the other day because one of my friends asked me like places I've traveled, and I said that, and I was like, she was like, Did you like it? And it's always interesting when people ask that, because it can go either way. Like they could love Dubai or they could like kind of hate it.

SPEAKER_01

How dare you?

SPEAKER_05

And luckily we were on the same page for how we felt.

SPEAKER_01

Wanna let everyone know, Allie?

SPEAKER_05

Um, no hate if you are from Dubai or if or if you love Dubai, but I don't think it's for me.

SPEAKER_01

Like a beautiful place, what cool things you experienced.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, very clean, lots of tall buildings.

SPEAKER_01

Do you remember the first thing you text me when you got there?

SPEAKER_05

No, what did I say? Scary.

SPEAKER_01

It was just a video of you guys in a taxi, and I could not figure out what was going on. I was like, is she being kidnapped? And this is like her way of sending it to me.

SPEAKER_05

Did I mean to do it?

SPEAKER_01

Yes, because I replied, I was like, what am I looking at here?

SPEAKER_05

What was I sending it?

SPEAKER_01

You were you wanted me to see that the rear view mirror was a camera.

SPEAKER_05

You were like, Wait, that exists here.

SPEAKER_01

Now, I think it was new then. You were like, I was like, oh, okay. It was you were stoked.

SPEAKER_05

It must have looked cool.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

I want to say for real though, I didn't see one Lamborghini.

SPEAKER_01

Is that a is that a thing then?

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, it's like the whole thing that like there's a bunch of.

SPEAKER_01

Dubai's whole thing.

SPEAKER_05

Dubai's whole thing is like really cool, expensive cars.

SPEAKER_01

Oh.

SPEAKER_05

And it's like whenever you see videos of people there, there's like hella lamb Lamborghinis and like really expensive.

SPEAKER_01

Hella Lambos.

SPEAKER_05

Hella Lambos. And I didn't see any.

SPEAKER_01

Wow.

SPEAKER_05

Maybe like one nice car when we went to the mall because we entered on the like luxury side of the mall.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Which I got such a headache in the mall because it was so big. And like I don't think we saw a third of it.

SPEAKER_01

Wasn't there like an aquarium and something in there? Yeah, that's big.

SPEAKER_05

It was crazy. The Birch Khalifa was really cool. And like once in a lifetime, like loved being at the top of that. That was really cool.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, but also like on the way up, it's like you're learning how it's made. And it's like, oh. Right.

SPEAKER_01

Isn't the elevator too like screens? The whole thing is just screens.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, it's very LED and it goes very fast. And it's a little sickening for someone that gets motion sickness. Oh. Um, but yeah, I don't know. It just feels like a fake place. And I think it just like I had an we all kind of had like an eerie feeling there, you know. But the one night that we did do like something cultural and like it felt like I was learning and immersing myself, that was my favorite night. We did Dune bashing. Yeah, there was cats. Uh Dune bashing for like 45 minutes. That was cool. And then we, although he was playing Christmas music, oh, and it was not Christmas time.

SPEAKER_01

Americans love Christmas music.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, they're like Christmas music. Um, but then we got to like have this dinner where we like sat on like these cool like mats. I'm not making it sound good. Rugs, and there was like dancers and like people like doing cool things with fire, and like the music was really cool, the food was really good, and we like learned cultural things, and there was like people selling really cool things. I don't know, like that day, that night was my favorite night because it was cool.

SPEAKER_01

Sex in the City 2 has they did that same experience. Yeah, if you'd like to understand what Allison's talking about.

SPEAKER_05

But it was like a little nerve-wracking, like being with gay boys, gay men, and I know there was one quarry about that.

SPEAKER_01

At one point, didn't you see their location was like in the middle of the water? And you were like what?

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, we could not find them one night. We were going to dinner, and Haley and I were in a room, and they were in a room, although we had to say that me and Caleb were in a room and her and Cameron were in a room. Right. Which, like, yeah, it was just like a scary thing.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

And um we were trying to call them because we had a reservation at like seven or something, and it was seven, and they were not answering. They were not in their room. They were not in their room. And like we went down to the lobby to wait for them. There was no communication happening, and then we looked at their locations on our phones, and they the location was in the water.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that is scary.

SPEAKER_05

And we were like, they have been kidnapped and thrown in the water for being gay. And then it really ended up they fell asleep on accident, and the hotel was just so tall that the location just didn't know where they were really, and so it looked like they were in the ocean. But anyway, everyone I met there was very nice. Like it was just like it's just like feels like a fake place.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Anyway, shall we get to going?

SPEAKER_01

Let's get her going.

The Espresso Cola Float Taste Test

SPEAKER_05

Welcome back to the A-List podcast with Allison and Alex. I'm Allison. He's Alex.

SPEAKER_01

That's two A's.

SPEAKER_05

That is two A's. And I didn't finish earlier about caffeine. What was that? Was it about caffeine or coffee?

SPEAKER_01

What?

SPEAKER_05

The very first thing I said was like, speaking of coffee, and then we started talking about Dubai and compression socks. What there was something I wanted to say about.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, I have no memory of this.

SPEAKER_05

And it was that I tried the um Alfred coffee. They have like a Coca-Cola slash espresso drink with like a cold foam on top and a cherry. And it looks so cool.

SPEAKER_01

Can you get a diet Coke?

SPEAKER_05

I don't know. Let me pull it up so you can have a visual.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. Alfred coffee. I haven't been in so long.

SPEAKER_05

There is one near me.

SPEAKER_01

And me.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, you just don't go?

SPEAKER_01

No, it's in Studio City.

SPEAKER_05

Espresso Cola Float. Cute. It does look cute, right? I got it.

SPEAKER_01

Not cute.

SPEAKER_05

Really bad.

SPEAKER_01

Like it tastes really bad.

SPEAKER_05

It's just a really weird. I think the mixture of espresso and Coca-Cola, like it's very bitter. I was gonna say I feel like a sourness. Yeah, I can't.

SPEAKER_01

I feel like it would have a sourness.

SPEAKER_05

When I mixed in the very sweet cold foam, I it was better, but I just I don't get it, and it wasn't for me, but it is very aesthetic.

SPEAKER_01

It did look, and did it look as good as these photos? Like, did it look like that?

SPEAKER_05

I mean, no, because it was in a branded cup. Like this, these are like clear, so I think that would look better, but it did still look cute. It just like is not.

SPEAKER_01

Did you eat the cherry?

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Did you tie it a knot with the stem in your mouth?

SPEAKER_05

I did it. I have been able to do that a few times, but I can't consistently do it.

SPEAKER_01

I'm really good at it. I'm very fast. Oh, whoa. Sorry.

SPEAKER_05

Whoa, that was crazy. Um anyway, how's your week?

Gym Routine And A Bold Stretch

SPEAKER_01

My week is good. Um I hung curtains. It was very domestic yesterday.

SPEAKER_05

They look nice.

SPEAKER_01

Thank you. Um, I discovered something today. So the boyfriend and I go to the gym together four days a week in the morning.

SPEAKER_05

Oh wow, I didn't know this.

SPEAKER_01

Yep. I get up at 6 a.m.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, we're so different.

SPEAKER_01

I'm so different. I am so different than I used to be. Anyway, it's like nice. It's we're in a routine. We have a nice little routine. But anyway, we have either an early gym session or a late gym session. And the difference is literally only 30 minutes.

SPEAKER_05

It's it's it early day or a late day, is that what you say?

SPEAKER_01

Correct, yes. And it's always according to whether like I have to be somewhere by 9 a.m. or he has to be somewhere by 9 a.m.

SPEAKER_05

So the default you want is later.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, it means leaving the house at 7 or leaving the house at 7:30.

SPEAKER_05

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Um, I prefer the later.

SPEAKER_05

Obviously.

SPEAKER_01

Because I like to have a full hour of a cup of coffee, wake up, scroll for a couple minutes, walk Stanley. So the difference of 6 a.m. and 6 30 for wake up means a lot to me.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Whenever I get up, he gets up an hour before I do.

SPEAKER_05

Oh my gosh. He has what time do you go to bed?

SPEAKER_01

Like eight three.

SPEAKER_05

You're a night owl, though. Do you fall asleep immediately?

SPEAKER_01

I have to take a sleeping pill every night.

SPEAKER_05

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Because he goes to bed early and then it's easier to wake up. But yeah, like I wake up to so many texts because all my friends are still awake.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, because we're used to you.

SPEAKER_01

I know, texting all hours.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Anyway, this is not the point of this. The point is that I have discovered, and boyfriend, if you're listening to this, I love you so much. He's kind of slutty in the gym. And I'm like, and I'm like walking around. We do our own thing. We don't work out together. We have our own room, which is I love that.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I'll walk around a corner and he's cacaoing and people are staring.

SPEAKER_05

And wait, are you at the same gym that you sign up for or a different gym?

SPEAKER_01

The one in Burbank. Yeah, he signed up. He he's enjoying it. Um, and I am like, the first time it happened a few weeks ago that I caught it, I was like, okay.

SPEAKER_05

And then is he in a corner or is he in the middle?

SPEAKER_01

Oh, we just wherever he needs to stretch. He's stretching. Okay. And he was at this one machine. I'll show you the video after. I was like, Jesus Christ, my guy. Everyone is looking at your ass. There's no way they're not.

SPEAKER_05

Is he wearing clothes?

SPEAKER_01

Well, yeah, but you'll see.

SPEAKER_05

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Anyway, so today was extra funny because we decided we did sometimes we'll do the same warm-up. We'll like start on the same, like either treadmill, stairmaster, or whatever we I like to warm up on one of those. And today, he warmed up with me. I went to go refill my water bottle. As I'm walking back, he's holding on to the treadmill and sticking his ass so far out to like stretch out his back.

SPEAKER_05

I do like to do that too.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, so follow with me. Okay, if you will. If you're me looking this way, and I'm Chad, right? Mike right here stretching, and then across like behind him is two rows of like the circuit machines, right? There is definitely a straight man sitting at one of the machines, and I see him stretching, and I look over because I can see them both pretty closely. The straight guy literally like releases the thing he's he's holding and just like looks, is just staring at Chad, just blankly staring at him, stretching. And then, like out of a cartoon, goes.

SPEAKER_05

And I was like, And this is at a pretty straight gym.

SPEAKER_01

So can you imagine what was happening when he was going to John Reed for the last two years?

SPEAKER_05

Well, everyone else is doing the same thing there.

SPEAKER_01

You're right. They're all peacocking.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

But he has he's just an innocent sweet baby. He doesn't know that he's like, he's not asking for someone to like come upon it. He's like, I need to stretch. I'm gonna show you this video afterward. It is wild.

SPEAKER_05

You took a video of him or of the guy staring at him.

SPEAKER_01

No, that was today. Yesterday. He was at the he was like the at a lap machine. Yeah, his posture was perfect, his ass was on display. I was just like, what is happening?

SPEAKER_05

Just like for everyone to see. You guys need to have gym shirts that are like, I'm with him. So everyone knows.

SPEAKER_01

I about said something very inappropriate. Yes, I'm with him. Anyway, it's very cute to work out together, work out together.

SPEAKER_04

That is cute.

SPEAKER_01

But my routine is nice. Like we go in, my gym offer has a full coffee bar, which is hilarious to see people walking around with like a cup of coffee while they're between sets. Um we go for like between an hour and an hour and thirty, and then always within the last 10 minutes, I go to Starbucks right on the corner, and I get my is the coffee free? The coffee at the gym, yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Is it not good?

SPEAKER_01

Well, I want like a little sweet cream cold brew.

SPEAKER_05

Wait, do they also do smoothies?

SPEAKER_01

Starbucks?

SPEAKER_05

No, the gym.

SPEAKER_01

No, no, no, no. It's just a coffee.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, I would rather have a smoothie after my workout than a coffee during or before.

SPEAKER_01

The coffee during is strange to me because it's not a coffee, it's like a yeah. What am I trying to say here? It's not like there's not a barista, it's a coffee bar with like gourmet coffee options that are that they brew.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I would compare it to like your church.

SPEAKER_05

Oh.

SPEAKER_01

Um what's it called? The recreation. Well, you know what, the what's it called when what is it called? Between the services when everyone mingles and has donuts and coffee.

SPEAKER_05

What is that called? I know. It's gonna kill me. Picture it.

SPEAKER_01

That it's just whatever that is.

SPEAKER_05

What is that? Something haul. Hall is not in the name of it.

SPEAKER_01

No.

SPEAKER_05

I think I feel like it wasn't mine.

SPEAKER_01

I know someone's listening to this screaming right now. Anyway, um, it's just like that, and then they have a variety of different like flavors you can add, and it it's just a luxe coffee bar.

SPEAKER_06

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Anyway, the point is it's a nice routine, and I am like today sealed it. I was like, oh, he is kind of slutty in the gym. I'm not mad at it.

SPEAKER_05

Okay, I'm not mad at it either. Um I'm happy for him to be living his best.

SPEAKER_01

Other than that, there is like some big things happening in the real housewives world, which we'll get to.

SPEAKER_05

Okay, please tell this. Is something you can tell me about. I did hear like rumblings, but you can explain to me. I can, but we can do that when we get to A-list news.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, A-list news. What's

Whiny Dodgeball And A Kooky Massage

SPEAKER_01

your week? How have you been? What is today even?

SPEAKER_05

Today's Thursday. Nothing of note, really, except for annoying. It was an annoying game of Dr. Ball last night. We played a team that literally complains about everything. And if any of you are listening, just know.

SPEAKER_01

The team you played was whiny? Yes. Okay, so what was so annoying about it?

SPEAKER_05

They just complain about everything, but yet they like against you guys. Yeah, but like they don't take their out. There, they complain that people are out that they think should be out, but they don't take their outs. They complained at one point that, and like I, you know, I am known publicly in some circles.

SPEAKER_02

Oh.

SPEAKER_05

Just as myself, especially in like the gay world. Yeah. So I'm sure some of these people there know who I am. Yeah. I think one person might have like let it be known. Like they came up and they were like, said my name, like they showed they know who I was. But like, but no one's really saying that if they know who I am, they're not saying it really. Um, so I'm sure some of them do know. And like sometimes I get sassy back, which I do have to like reel myself in and not do something crazy because I can get a little heated if if I feel like there's injustice.

SPEAKER_01

Because you're a sports girl at heart.

SPEAKER_05

I am, and if there's injustice happening, like I it's hard for me not to say something. I know. And one of them complained that they thought someone stepped out of bounds on our side. Wow. And then, like, the next game we played, this person, the person that complained, I literally watched him step fully out of bounds to get a ball. And I was I had just gotten out, so I was standing there and I was like, You are out of bounds. And then he complained to the ref that I said something. Cause like technically, only the players. No, oh, the captain can say something. The captain can say something to the referee. Got him. And I kind of just like said it out loud, and he but he complained that I said it. And I was like, I'm just speaking into the abyss. And the ref was like, Don't do that. And I was like, Okay, well, if you're gonna let them complain about everything, like I'm not just gonna not say something, like it's annoying. If everyone just shut their mouths and just played and had fun like we're supposed to, yep, then it wouldn't be annoying to me.

SPEAKER_01

That is very impressive.

SPEAKER_05

The sports that is like the sports girl in me, because like really who cares? No one.

SPEAKER_01

Well, this is why I don't do dodgeball anymore.

SPEAKER_05

It's annoying to me that that like when people complain that much and I'm just supposed to smile. I know. No, it's stupid. But anyway, nothing else has really happened this week except I had a very kooky massage, and I just wanted to tell you about it.

SPEAKER_01

Today before this.

SPEAKER_05

No, this was on like Monday. Yeah. I had my monthly massage, as I do, but sometimes I don't go to the same person because I last minute. Oh. Because I don't really know like what day I like to have a massage at the very end of the day so I can just go home, get comfy, and like relax in bed or on the couch or whatever. And so I defin I don't always know when I'm gonna do it. So then I look at whenever the it strikes me like, oh, I have the evening off. Yeah, yeah. Then I'll get on the thing and I'll look to see if it's available. So I go get my massage and I have a random older lady, let's say late 60s, maybe like very early 70s, if you will.

unknown

What?

SPEAKER_05

Yeah. Okay. More likely late 60s, I would say. Okay. Sure. Yeah. And she never had her before. Her thing said all what's the word?

SPEAKER_01

All inclusive.

SPEAKER_05

No, like you don't have to light, medium, hard on your like touch.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

What is the word I'm looking for? It doesn't matter. Pressure? Pressure. She can do all pressures, right? So I'm like, because sometimes if it says light, I'm like, no, I don't want a light massage. Like, I need my muscles to be like worked out.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

She said it said all pressure. So I was like, cool. I go in, she's like, do we need to work on anything sp specific? And for the once I was like, actually, like, I'm feeling pretty good. So just like full body is great. But if you do feel a knot here or there or tightness, like feel free to work on it.

SPEAKER_01

Work.

SPEAKER_05

As I normally say.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Um, and so she starts and like it just feels like nothing no movement is finished, if you will. So, like, think of like a nice shoulder massage, right? I'm thinking about it. Now think of if every stroke or every squeeze was like halfway and then moved on to a different part of the body.

SPEAKER_01

It felt like there's no way she could be done, and then she would move on. Yes.

SPEAKER_05

And it would be like shoulder, and then all of a sudden to middle of the back. And then to the other, other like halfway up my back, and then to the very bottom of my neck. Like it was like we were not concentrating on any section at this, like at a for a long enough period of time to actually feel that. And then she would kind of be like, just like lightly do-da-doing, and then she would like feel a spot, and then she would like elbow drop me. Oh my god. For like what the knot that she found.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_05

And then she would go back to like lightly touching again. There was like some times where she did like a little like flutter of her hands. Um and then it was over again. Very interesting.

SPEAKER_01

Was it relaxing at all?

SPEAKER_05

No. I mean, she just know to never book her. Like, this is like unlike anything I've felt before. Yeah. Cause like, yeah, it was nothing felt finished. So it was like I wasn't ever like, oh, now that shoulder feels relaxed. Yeah, yeah. Because it never got there.

SPEAKER_02

Damn.

SPEAKER_05

And then at the end, she was like, okay, we're finished. And she was like, I tried a few different uh, you know, you're like, yeah, I know, I can tell you.

SPEAKER_01

Oh no.

SPEAKER_05

I was like, amazing, thank you. Okay, Gail, never again. You know, I'm not gonna say anything. No, I'm just gonna thank her and move on.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

But and the only the word that just kept coming to my mind is this is kooky.

SPEAKER_01

Kookie is the perfect word for it.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah. She had, you know, she had short a little short haircut, and you know, kooky gal. She was a kooky gal.

SPEAKER_01

Wow.

SPEAKER_05

And God love her, someone must love her.

SPEAKER_01

Someone's booking her regularly.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Well, I'm sorry about that.

SPEAKER_05

It's okay. You know, you can't win them all. And that's what I get for not finding. I did have a lady that I went to, yeah, Fernanda.

SPEAKER_01

Same as the hair.

SPEAKER_05

Same as the hair. Um, and then she stopped working there.

SPEAKER_01

So same as Fernanda.

SPEAKER_05

Literally, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Or leaves me. All the Fernandas leave.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah. But that's really it. Nothing of note has really happened to me.

SPEAKER_01

Um, I feel like there was something else I wanted to say. I rediscovered Beyonce, but that's not really a thing. Love that. I was like, irreplaceable came on. It's my A-list of the week. I'm getting ahead of myself.

SPEAKER_05

Whoa.

SPEAKER_01

But I was like, oh my God, this song is so good.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah. Well, I when the partition sound was going viral the last couple weeks, I was like, that's such a good song. And then I was like, oh my God, wow.

SPEAKER_01

Um I wrote a fun new transition style video that I think could go viral that I need to film with people. That's something else I did this week. And I also met up with one of my fri Brandy. You know my friend Brandy?

SPEAKER_02

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_01

We get together like quarterly. So we got together and went to Well, we don't go to Bakery anymore, which is sad.

SPEAKER_05

Yes.

SPEAKER_01

Bachy.

SPEAKER_05

Why don't you?

SPEAKER_01

I can't say it on the podcast. I'll tell you off.

SPEAKER_05

Oh my gosh. T.

SPEAKER_01

But um, so we tried a new place in Glendale and it was like a Russian cafe.

SPEAKER_05

Was it the one that was a carnival or whatever? The one that the Kardashians go to?

SPEAKER_01

No. It was called like the Corner Cafe.

SPEAKER_05

Oh.

SPEAKER_01

And it was so good.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

She got caviar pasta.

SPEAKER_05

Whoa.

SPEAKER_01

And I got a chicken Caesar wrap. This menu is all over the place. I'm like, Gimme Matt Grilled Chicken Caesar wrap. Yeah. Um, and I had a mimosa. It was the strangest dinner combination, but it was so good. And they have an all-day breakfast.

SPEAKER_05

Wait, question. I've the corner cafe or the corner bakery. Because isn't the corner bakery also a place?

SPEAKER_01

Yes, this is Corner Cafe.

SPEAKER_05

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Glendale. Right by the Americana. Highly recommend. It was delicious.

SPEAKER_05

Nice.

SPEAKER_01

I like Glendale.

SPEAKER_05

What made it wait, you said Russian? What made it Russian? Oh, just the owner. Not the food wasn't like Russian, like themed.

SPEAKER_01

There was some Russian food on there. Okay. And our waitress was a gorgeous Russian woman.

SPEAKER_05

Um well, the very famous restaurant that the Kardashians made famous, which would be Armenian, not Russian, is like called like Carnival or something. And it's in Glendale also.

SPEAKER_01

I have been there.

SPEAKER_05

Did you like it?

SPEAKER_01

Have no memory of it. Only the interior. And I was like, whoa.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And that's it.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

I do want to I keep ready to tell you that Heather gives me updates on, she's very behind on our podcast, but she's to the part now where we talked about how the changes we were going to make, and she was like, I'm sorry to say, but I love sports corner. Well, it's still here for me.

SPEAKER_05

Honestly, we really haven't made any changes.

SPEAKER_01

No, just the location.

SPEAKER_05

Although I am, I think we are just I we're workshopping like segments.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, we are. We are.

SPEAKER_05

So, like as of right now, A-less news, we're working that one out to see if that works. And today I have brought back what's my algorithm, or what did I call it?

SPEAKER_01

What's my algorithm?

SPEAKER_05

What's my algorithm? So there should be a better name for that.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, well, it what's the what what in the algo? Is that good?

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, but it's like not it's not giving the A-list like exclusive, like sexy. Is that what we are?

SPEAKER_01

A-list sexy. We're gonna, we're gonna, we're workshopping the workshop.

SPEAKER_05

Well, do you want to let's we can start A-list

Housewives Breakups And DJ Erika Jayne

SPEAKER_05

news? Yeah, let's do it. And you can tell me about the housewives. Beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep.

SPEAKER_01

Kids don't know what that means.

SPEAKER_05

Definitely not.

SPEAKER_01

Anyway, um, welcome to A-list News, where we highlight the top things in pop culture news. Excellent intro. Um hot, hot piping hot tea happening with the housewives right now.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, of Salt Lake City.

SPEAKER_01

Of Salt Lake City. Now, Salt Lake City just finished rap they wrapped filming maybe a month ago, maybe a little less than a month ago. Salt Lake, for those who don't know, um, is in my opinion, yes, the best franchise of the Housewives. I will be honest, I have not seen Potomac and Rhode Island.

SPEAKER_05

People are enthralled by it. Correct.

SPEAKER_01

And I feel like boyfriend and I will jump to that next. But right now, the new season of Orange County just started, and they were the OGs, which I watch because they're the OGs. Um, 20 years of Housewives, which is wild. Yeah. And but I ride hard for my Salt Lake gals. And I two fan faves, they're all faves, but Angie K and Whitney Rose, only two days apart, both announced their separations from their husbands.

SPEAKER_06

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Sad because Angie and her husband have been together for like 20 years or something like that. They came up together, um, built their careers. She's like, she's one of the people behind Kara Stos. Kara Stos. Kara Stas. Kara Stas. She's one of the women behind Kara Stas hair products. Okay. Um he is as well. So that's sad. Whitney and her husband Justin. That one's also shocking. They had a pretty crazy, just a little backstory for everyone. Whitney in Whitney and Justin were having an affair with each other. That's how their whole relationship began, like almost 20 years ago.

SPEAKER_06

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

She is a lot younger than him. And then they had two kids together. They divorced their others, made it right, apologized. Like they talk about this openly in the show, and then got together. In the latest season, you can there's some rockiness going, but in the early seasons of Salt Lake, you would be like Whitney and Justin are lifers.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

The T is not really that because that I mean, that is T and it's sad. But Lisa Barlow.

SPEAKER_05

I've heard this name.

SPEAKER_01

And Meredith Marks, who are the resident villains of the show. I love them. I'm just saying that's that's kind of what they're labeled as.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

More so Lisa.

SPEAKER_05

I feel like that's if I know their names, it's because they're making waves.

SPEAKER_01

Lisa Barlow also is her catchphrase that maybe you've heard is baby gorgeous.

SPEAKER_05

Does one of them have a music career?

SPEAKER_01

Uh so she just released her first single, Gorgeous, Baby Gorgeous. Love. Anyway. Meredith Marks. Meredith Marks is a DJ. Immediately. DJ Meredith Marks. And she did something in West Hollywood like a few months ago and all the gays were there.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Um, they both released pretty upsetting statements about it, like kind of dragging them. I don't remember Meredith.

SPEAKER_05

Dragging the other women or okay.

SPEAKER_01

The ones going through the divorce. Basically being like, well, when you act the way that you act, like it's not surprising this would happen to you. These are cast members, like they're all in this thing together. And then Lisa Barlow posts on Instagram a picture with her husband, and she was like, partners in everything till the end, just like right after Whitney announced her separation. So that's upsetting to see. Ladies, we should be supporting each other.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, like what is the point? Like, I know we don't know the reason for the divorces.

SPEAKER_01

We do not.

SPEAKER_05

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Um, and then the last bit of Housewives news I'll share is that this past Saturday, I had the opportunity to go see Erica Jane, DJ Abby. Fun. So I got to meet her and hang out in the booth with her.

SPEAKER_05

And wow, I didn't know this. Yeah, it was so You didn't post anything, did you?

SPEAKER_01

Correct. Okay. I was gonna delay it.

SPEAKER_05

Um you do like to do that. I do love to delay.

SPEAKER_01

The thing that's the thing that was here's the thing. Here's the thing. This is what, and I know we've already talked about our weeks, but I need to tell you like my motivation to get through Saturday was like I can get finally meet Erica Jane and be in the presence of one of my favorite housewives. Um so Erica Jane is Housewife Beverly Hills. That's my second favorite franchise. Salt Lake, Beverly Hills, Orange County. The short-lived Real Housewives of the Real Housewives of Melbourne, the Australia. There were only three seasons and it was forever ago, and I loved it.

SPEAKER_06

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

I digress. So on Saturday, Saturday morning, um, I was went with boyfriend to a going-away party for one of his friends that is from his like youth up, like his youth years in Hollywood. My god, the stories are insane. The people he hung out with, I'm talking about that's Lois on the list. But like I'm talking, he was hanging with Lindsay, Hillary, Ashley Simpson.

SPEAKER_06

That is crazy.

SPEAKER_01

Like these people, and it was like the girl kind of at the core of that group, is moving to New York for three years. Um, and I never met her, but of course, know everything about her, and so we went to her house for her going away. Her mother is the producer of Anne Juliet on Broadway, so I got to meet her, and she was wearing an Anne Juliet sweatshirt, and I got to be like, hi. Also, she was um she was Britney Spears' on tour like assistant for the first two years of her career. So, like Britney Spears plaques. Do you hear music? No, Britney Spears plaques in her house, Backstreet Boys in sync. Like, she is just a cool life. Anyway, so we got up, we went to her house, which is pretty close to where you live, yeah, and we did that for two and a half hours. Then we left to go to Culver City to hang out with another one of his friends who we haven't seen in a while. You're right, from there it wasn't that bad. All the way. We go there, we spend about four hours there, then we come home. We have to kill like five hours because she set wasn't till midnight.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, no, no, no.

SPEAKER_01

She wasn't arriving until 11:30.

SPEAKER_05

So we were she late also?

SPEAKER_01

No. Okay. She Erica Jane is never late. We had to get there at 11.

SPEAKER_05

I wouldn't, we shouldn't have come home.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, I was like, do we nap? No, we didn't. We've powered through.

SPEAKER_05

No, you should have like gone out.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, but we didn't. Because it was work for him.

SPEAKER_05

So like we had to but just like being not at home to totally, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

So we get to the Abbey at 11 a.m. 11 p.m. The Abbey isn't my favorite place.

SPEAKER_06

No, it's no one's favorite place.

SPEAKER_01

Poor air circulation. And there's this listen, if you're this, if you're a if this is you, there's a drag artist that I'd never seen before, but seemed like everyone was stoked to see. This person is in a full costume with their face covered, and then it's like an ostrich puppet, and I hated it.

SPEAKER_03

Lauren Benal?

SPEAKER_01

Who?

SPEAKER_03

Lauren Benal.

SPEAKER_01

I don't know. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. It is far it's terrifying. It was constantly coming into the DJ booth, and it was just a lot.

SPEAKER_05

Um but everyone was excited for it.

SPEAKER_01

Everyone was stoked for this.

SPEAKER_05

Do you think their normal drag is ostrich drag?

SPEAKER_01

Or like Yeah, because it's like the arm is the neck of the ostrich, and so like she's like making it sing and you know what?

SPEAKER_05

You have to diversify.

SPEAKER_01

You have to if you saw this thing, you would be mad.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

It was intrusive. It was a lot. I did get an Abby fan.

SPEAKER_05

Love.

SPEAKER_01

And we were at the you know the DJ booths like at the back.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Absolutely no air circulation. It was the hottest experience of my life. Yeah. Erica Jane did a great job. I think her name is DJ Pretty Mess.

SPEAKER_06

That's fun.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. And we were in and we were out.

SPEAKER_05

You just you watched her play and you looked at her.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, and it was hilarious. All the gay boys looking at us, being like, who are they? Why do they get to be up there? You know, it's very much like, yeah, we had bottle service. Like it was it's really the only way to do the Abbey.

SPEAKER_05

If you must be well, the Abbey, I can do brunch. I can do drag brunch because you're outside.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, okay.

SPEAKER_05

It's if you are in the shade, you're not miserable. Like it's daytime, so like I really don't think people are trying to roof you in that moment, you know.

SPEAKER_01

Yes. So here's the issue with West Hollywood for me. I am a pr I'm a pretty new gay, five years. And I always see someone I know.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And it I don't understand how that's possible. But I well, first of all, I saw a married couple that do like videos together, and I recognize them.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, what?

SPEAKER_01

And then I saw someone that I had been with. I was like, how, how?

SPEAKER_05

Well, it's because where else? Like, because if you you're either a West Hollywood gay or you're a Silver Lake gay.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

And most people don't cross. Like you're one or the other. You're at the like what's it called?

SPEAKER_01

The High Tops.

SPEAKER_05

Well, there's the High Tops and Um what Silver Lake or whatever.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

But no, what's the one Akbar?

SPEAKER_01

Oh, oh, oh, oh.

SPEAKER_05

You're either like going to Akbar or you're going to the Abbey.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, okay.

SPEAKER_05

And it's like, yeah, you're right. So anyone that's gay that is like, I don't, I don't feel like you're really like have having a lot of Silver Lake gay friends.

SPEAKER_01

That doesn't, I don't know. Maybe I need to go there and see.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah. I don't think that you have you know a lot of Silver Lake gays.

SPEAKER_01

I maybe I don't. I guess I don't.

SPEAKER_05

I don't think you do. So then West Holly, what is it?

SPEAKER_01

Anyway, that's the scoop on the housewives and how they've been in my orbit lately.

SPEAKER_05

It's so interesting that like it's the one thing, it's the one reality thing that I'm not into. I don't know why.

SPEAKER_01

It's the only thing I am.

SPEAKER_05

Wait, are the Salt Lake City girls Mormon also?

SPEAKER_01

A few of them.

SPEAKER_05

Okay. But they never cohabitate on the secret lives of Mormon wives.

SPEAKER_01

Not as of yet. So I still I still recommend. Like if anyone is interested, Salt Lake is the only one. Like it gets you in the first episode of season one. You're like, oh, I can do this.

SPEAKER_05

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

And it is not, there is not a single mourning episode. It is like Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

I just don't think about it when I'm like, okay, I finish a show. It doesn't come to my mind to start. Because I like wood. I would try it. I have watched a handful of seasons of New York.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, sure.

SPEAKER_05

Or whatever. It's just like not my can't recommend Salt Lake enough.

SPEAKER_01

It's like I'll really try to remember. Housewife show.

SPEAKER_05

I'll try.

SPEAKER_01

What else is going on

The Nancy Guthrie Ransom Note

SPEAKER_01

in the news? Pop culture.

SPEAKER_05

Well, the only thing I saw really that like piqued my interest was an article about Nancy Guthrie, who like we still don't have really answers on.

SPEAKER_00

Wild.

SPEAKER_05

Which is they haven't found like a body, have they, right?

SPEAKER_00

No.

SPEAKER_05

Well, this was um the headline says chilling first Nancy Guthrie ransom note revealed report revealed.

SPEAKER_02

Okay.

SPEAKER_05

I headlines sometimes do not make sense.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I know.

SPEAKER_05

So the I'm just gonna read, I'm gonna read through most of the uh article just so we have the info. Okay. The chilling first ransom note allegedly sent by Nancy Guthrie's kidnapper has been revealed in full for the first time. The message um was read on Wednesday's episode of the Crime Junkie Podcast. Isn't that your girls?

SPEAKER_01

No, but I love that podcast. My favorite murder.

SPEAKER_05

Nearly six months after the 84-year-old disappearance from her Tucson and Arizona home. How did they get the full note?

SPEAKER_01

But the note is fake. Isn't that what it was determined? The note was fake.

SPEAKER_05

It says, hello, Savannah. We have your mother. The note began.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_05

She is safe but scared. She will be held for ransom. And once payment is received, she will be released unharmed. We will be holding her for a maximum of seven days. Um, noted that the alleged abductor went on to demand millions of dollars, specifying this should be sent in U.S. currency while outlining deadlines. Once payment is received to the Bitcoin address below, she will be released within 12 hours of deposit to a safe drop-off location back in Tucson.

SPEAKER_06

Wow.

SPEAKER_05

However, the note continued if the payment is not received by the last deadline on Monday the 9th at 5 p.m., she will be killed. Your mother is aware of this, and her life is in your hands.

SPEAKER_04

It is in the best interest of everyone to have completed have this completed as soon as possible. You would not be able to contact contact me from here on now.

SPEAKER_05

There will be no negotiation. Do not play games. Law enforcement will not be able to help you. Um Whitney from Crime Junkie claimed the note included details about Nancy's home from the white smartwatch on the floor near her bed, like at the foot of the bed. I'm dead that they wrote it like that.

unknown

No.

SPEAKER_05

Like at the foot of the bed.

SPEAKER_01

Like at the foot of the bed.

SPEAKER_05

Floodlight destroyed in the backyard. She clarified that the FBI is still investigating the legitimacy of the note. Savannah's Savannah's rep did not immediately respond to page six request.

SPEAKER_01

When did this come out?

SPEAKER_05

This came out today at 11 a.m.

SPEAKER_01

I swear I read somewhere like a few weeks ago that they determined the ransom note was fake.

SPEAKER_05

I mean I feel like you can never know because people just say things. Totally. But who are the suspects that we do we have any suspects? Like is it like isn't there something in someone in her family that are adjacent to her family that people thought or am I thinking of something else? Let me just search Nancy Guthrie's suspect.

SPEAKER_01

The conspiracy is that it's linked to the fact that Savannah interviewed survivors of the Epstein Files and it was tied into that.

SPEAKER_05

But why wouldn't they just like kidnap Savannah then? Why her mom? Is Savannah Guthrie that rich?

SPEAKER_01

I don't know.

SPEAKER_05

I had to that they could think they could get millions and millions.

SPEAKER_01

I didn't know who she was until I mean I knew her name.

SPEAKER_04

But I'm trying to see if I can it's really crazy that there aren't any suspects that there aren't. I'm trying to see if the suspect may have exploited an unlocked back door.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, I feel like there's no like actual like names or weird. It must have been someone else. Some other case I was thinking of that someone in their family.

SPEAKER_04

On Monday, June 8th, um an outlet reported that a 40-year-old woman, Coral Michelle Smith, is wanted by the PCSD, according to the outlet.

SPEAKER_05

Smith is wanted in connection with the kidnapping and aggressive assault with deadly weapon. This must not have gone been anything though. Yeah. I don't know. Like it's really weird. How can we solve crimes like so well now? I know, but and we have not not a single lead on this.

SPEAKER_01

I think it's just like it's just because it's not they're not releasing what they know.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, I guess that's probably true. Yeah, I just feel like Nancy cannot be that rich that they think they can get like big Bitcoin millions out of her. I don't know. So it's just like so sad. And I just I saw that headline and I was like, oh, we haven't I feel like we haven't seen anything from this lately. But yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Sad.

SPEAKER_05

It is sad. Another sad I brought it down again.

Love Island Buzz And Ugly Uniforms

SPEAKER_05

Sorry.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, it's it's real life.

SPEAKER_05

I feel like when I was looking through like paychecks and stuff, there wasn't a lot happening. I feel like in the summer, celebrities are just like laying low.

SPEAKER_01

They're chilling.

SPEAKER_05

There is some like Love Island drama right now, but I just like kind of was like, do we care?

SPEAKER_01

I don't.

SPEAKER_05

I know you don't.

SPEAKER_01

But I think it's hard for me to get invested in 20-year-old's drama. Like that's it's just a lot. Housewives, I'm like, oh my god, they're my age, and this is crazy.

SPEAKER_05

Well, the drama, there's not even draw. Well, there is drama with season six people.

SPEAKER_01

But it's what season are we on? Eight?

SPEAKER_05

Season eight just airs. Just happened. Season seven, the headline that like yesterday happened is that Nickelandria, i.e. Olandria and Nick, have broken up and everyone was like, Yeah, it was fake.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Like they knew. I even knew that.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah. They were never like seen like kissing or like intimately being together. They would like do appearances.

SPEAKER_01

They're the ones that won.

SPEAKER_05

Huh?

SPEAKER_01

Did they win season seven?

SPEAKER_05

They did not.

SPEAKER_01

Oh. No. It was just like a people left.

SPEAKER_05

No, they were the ones that he Nick was with a the girl that got kicked off for being racist. Right. And he was like obsessed with her. They were like, you know, getting it on in the bedroom or whatever. And then she got kicked off, and he was like, not, he was like, I'm not leaving. Because he wanted to still be on the show and be famous. Totally. So he was single. And then um him and Alandria at one point like got voted out or got dumped because they didn't have any um, they weren't with anyone at the time.

SPEAKER_02

Okay.

SPEAKER_05

And they had already like kissed or something, and they were like, Yeah, we don't really feel anything. And then they got dumped, and then the product the producers obviously wanted them to still be there. So they gave them like a secret date instead of sending them home. And they were like, if you guys like feel like you guys can you have some sort of connection and you want to still like be together, you can couple up and we'll send you back on the show. And they were obviously like, Yeah. So then they just pretended the rest of the season that they were into each other, even though they had just kissed and been like, Yeah, I don't, we don't really feel anything. It was like, okay.

SPEAKER_01

It was a business move.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, and then they have kept it up for a year.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, good for them.

SPEAKER_05

But they were never seen together, they were always like doing appearances like on their own, then they would randomly do one together, and they were never like all over each other, kissing, like acting like they were together. So people were skeptical, obviously. And then they announced that they broke up. And then immediately, like, Dumas Dumois was like, Yeah, I've gotten tips that she's been hooking up with Travis Scott.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_05

And like they were at Coachella, like, people saw them and said that they looked like they were very awkward and kind of like acted like they didn't like each other like at all.

SPEAKER_02

Oof.

SPEAKER_05

So, like the drama is that it was fake. That's it. And then the other thing that's happening is season six people, Janae and Kenny.

SPEAKER_01

I thought they already broke up.

SPEAKER_05

They did break up, but he just he had been silent for a while.

SPEAKER_01

And then it was dramatic.

SPEAKER_05

And he like said something. Must have said something racist also. Um, because there was like she alluded to text messages that he broke his silence and went on a podcast and was like, I he basically was trying to like say that he didn't do anything wrong and all these things. And then she was she came back at him and she was like, My lawyers are contacting you. And if you think that I don't have like 75 screenshots, you're crazy.

SPEAKER_01

That's rough.

SPEAKER_05

So that's really it. And like honestly, who cares?

SPEAKER_01

Well, I liked them, they're the ones I actually met.

SPEAKER_05

I love Janae, and actually, she corresponds with my A-list of the week, so I won't get too into it. But yeah, that's kind of the news. It's a slow one because celebs are on vacation.

SPEAKER_01

And watching FIFA.

SPEAKER_05

It is over.

SPEAKER_01

What? Do you know who won? No. Let me guess.

SPEAKER_05

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Spain.

SPEAKER_05

No way.

SPEAKER_01

Isn't that normal? Don't they always win?

SPEAKER_05

They have won a lot, I think.

SPEAKER_01

I'm not. So that was honestly just a guess.

SPEAKER_05

Oh my gosh, wow. Yeah, the final was Spain and Argentina.

SPEAKER_01

Uh, I was watching like highlights of something at the gym that was just on the TVs, and all I could think is how like why are sports uniforms so fucking ugly? Like, soccer clothes are so dumb. I want to like, I would like to, I was like, it's too late. If FIFA were like just now happening, I would do like a video that's like blind ranking these terrible outfits and how they could be better.

SPEAKER_05

Dang, yeah, you should have.

SPEAKER_01

Because I was just like, these don't even match. That is a light blue short and a forest green top. What is happening here?

SPEAKER_05

Wait, are you talking about the goalie or are you talking about the actual people?

SPEAKER_01

I don't know, just people. They all they all look stupid. Like jerseys are so ugly.

SPEAKER_05

Okay. Hmm. Do you think they should be wearing like the tiny little tank tops that the gays wear to the gym that are like strings?

SPEAKER_01

I think every sports team should be wearing what rugby players wear.

SPEAKER_05

What do they wear?

SPEAKER_01

I don't know that's pretty gay. Short shorts.

SPEAKER_05

Well, I feel like the shorts are not that long. For some of the things that's the right thing at today, they were. The basketball boys do wear their shorts a little shorter than they used to.

SPEAKER_01

It's all bad.

SPEAKER_05

In the 70s, they're short, short shorts.

SPEAKER_01

Football, like you can't do much with that. It's just for they have they're they have to be protected.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, baseball, they could be tighter. Like Derek Jeter wore some tight pants.

SPEAKER_01

Baseball pants are just there's they look so uncomfortable, like they don't have any move.

SPEAKER_05

They're very polyester and very hot. I remember that.

SPEAKER_01

What the hell is wrong with sports teams?

SPEAKER_05

Well, with that, they just they're sliding, so they want their legs to be.

SPEAKER_01

I'm fine with swimmers.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, yeah. Yeah, you are.

SPEAKER_01

No, but you're right. They I guess they have to slide. I don't know. Just wear why have we not come further in sportswear?

SPEAKER_05

Choose to wear like looser pants and no tight ones.

SPEAKER_01

Who?

SPEAKER_05

The baseball boys.

SPEAKER_01

I've never seen a loose baseball pant ever.

SPEAKER_05

I could show you one.

SPEAKER_01

Are you thinking of softball?

SPEAKER_05

No.

SPEAKER_01

No, because girls, girls play softball in like booty shorts.

SPEAKER_05

Not really anymore. We did back in the day. Um, no, they kind of wear the same pants as baseball now.

SPEAKER_01

I hate sports clothes.

What The Algorithm Keeps Serving Us

SPEAKER_05

Okay, well, now I want to know what your algorithm says about you.

SPEAKER_01

Well, my algorithm ties into the news, which is well, first of all, I have not engaged with this kind of uh stuff, but for the last two days, it's first of all, it's all housewives, it's housewives. And it's if you told me three months ago that today I would be a millionaire because of TikTok shop. I was like, when have I interacted with people selling on TikTok? It's like TikTok gives that to you every now and then, but it's like every other video is like life-changing money just came into my it's like stop, stop.

SPEAKER_05

It's not like that, it's only like that if you got into it early again and you make 35 videos a day.

SPEAKER_01

Correct. Well, any of them that I've been like, let's see, it is like they post every hour. It's like there is a or they're on live for four hours.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah. If you start to get into like TikTok selling now, I think it is probably pretty hard. Tough.

SPEAKER_01

If you get into Instagram because it's about to launch, and that would be the time to start. That's it.

SPEAKER_05

I just can't do because like I need to sell clothes.

SPEAKER_06

What?

SPEAKER_05

I need to sell clothes. Active booty. Yeah. But like I can't, I just cannot get into the like style of marketing that is like TikTok shop or whatever. Like I hate this shirt because it makes the guys go crazy. Like, I you cannot or my favorite hook of all time. Get me to say that.

SPEAKER_01

I feel so bad for anyone that bought this last week before it was on sale.

SPEAKER_05

And it's never on sale.

SPEAKER_01

No, it's not.

SPEAKER_05

You're lying.

SPEAKER_01

Right now, though, number one thing I'm getting served is the Dyson personal fan.

SPEAKER_05

Same because it's so hot. I I bought, I did not buy the Dyson one because it's like $400.

SPEAKER_01

No, it's $91. It's tiny. No, it's the handheld one, the one you take with you to like theme parks and shit. $99.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, okay. Maybe I saw like a middle one.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, yeah.

SPEAKER_05

I did buy another tiny fan to put in my bathroom because I get no circulation back there. Okay.

SPEAKER_01

And I did get influenced by Dylan and bought a personal fan for theme parks that has a built-in air conditioner.

SPEAKER_05

Drop the link.

SPEAKER_01

I'm gonna show it to you after this. It's really insane. Anyway, that's my algo. What's yours?

SPEAKER_05

I'm that's not fun at all. No, it's fun. I have fun things.

SPEAKER_01

Lucky.

SPEAKER_05

Well, one that I didn't even write down is the trend where everyone's saying things that are worth the money to them. But everyone is saying the most expensive things ever. Like, yeah, right.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, right.

SPEAKER_05

It's like the most expensive, like, Prada perfume. And then it's like Louboutons. Like, sure. We still can't buy that. What do you mean? But do you know about Jimothy?

SPEAKER_01

That is what his name was gonna be. Jimothy Tyler.

SPEAKER_05

Do you know Jimothy?

SPEAKER_01

It sounds familiar.

SPEAKER_05

Jimothy is the short spine raccoon from Seattle. Yes. He is everywhere. And I did see him.

SPEAKER_01

I saw one video of Jimothy.

SPEAKER_05

Only one? Oh my gosh. I've seen 35.

SPEAKER_01

Jimothy. Is he gonna be okay?

SPEAKER_05

You mean in his condition of his short spiness? It I haven't seen that that is inhibiting him from having a full life. Yeah, it seems like he's doing well.

SPEAKER_01

Wow.

SPEAKER_05

To be really honest.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_05

Um, if you guys don't know, look up Jimothy the raccoon from Seattle, and you're he is pretty cute.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, he is cute, yeah. Little hunchback.

SPEAKER_05

And then the second thing is have you seen these British girls who are making the cheer mixes?

SPEAKER_01

Yes.

SPEAKER_05

Did I send it to you?

SPEAKER_01

No, but I have seen that.

SPEAKER_05

Oh yeah, it's a big idea. So there's these girls. I like why can't I be funny like that?

SPEAKER_00

It's so good.

SPEAKER_05

Like when we're hanging out, like why do these things not I mean, we are making the like the videos that we're making, but like this is like such a like it had to just come to them one day where they were just being so stupid and they were like something about cheer mixes, and then they just did it and it made them laugh, so they just made a video about it. Like, why does that not happen to me? I don't think I'm funny enough.

SPEAKER_01

It's I had the same thought when uh my friend Shannon, she put maybe you saw it in her story, but she posted this girl doing she's like my f my gymnastics floor routine without any of the flips, and it is so funny. I was like, this is my kind of comedy. It's the most incredibly but why can't we think of it?

unknown

Well God.

SPEAKER_01

It's not that because I do think of stuff like that, and then I just forget to like make it a thing. Yeah, because you really those things happen, they actually happen, like they they get filmed because you're already hanging out. It would be weird for me to be like, What we do is more serious, but if I was like, I have an idea for this comedy piece, come over. We try I tried it with Angela, it just doesn't work like that.

SPEAKER_05

You have to be like, yeah. So I guess I didn't explain it. If you haven't seen it, there are these two girls, they are happen to be British, which is so also funny. Yeah, they're sisters, and they just sit there in the camera, and they you have heard like cheer mixes that like you know at the national cheer competition or whatever, and it's always like insane wild transitions and it's time to go. Yeah, and they just like riff, they do not plan it. They right at the beginning, they'll be like, they'll pick a name of the team they're doing, so they'll be like the sharks, yeah, the eagles, and then they just start like making this mix on the spot, and then it is one of the funniest things I've ever seen. And it's really funny when one of them makes the other laugh, yeah, yeah, but they keep going. Yeah, you guys just look up like sisters doing cheer mix, whatever, and I'm sure it'll come up because they've probably done like six now. Yeah, and it really makes me like I watched the whole thing, I have a smile on my face, like it really makes me happy.

SPEAKER_01

Brings joy.

SPEAKER_05

So, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I love that.

SPEAKER_05

Nothing morbid this time, completely different algos. Say algo one more time. Um, okay, well, also is it time for A-list of the week.

Beyoncé Rediscovery And Destination X

SPEAKER_01

Well, I already spoiled mine, and it is I rediscovered Beyoncé, but specifically irreplaceable. I listened to it on repeat. Written by Neo and just incredible. Wow, to the left, to the left.

SPEAKER_05

I mean, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

She's she's be she's bae. She's be she's Beyonce. Anyway, rediscovered that song, love it.

SPEAKER_05

Everyone had to say it in like the French way.

SPEAKER_00

Beyonce.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, I will say, like, I since I'm not good at listening to albums in full, I'm sure there are so many songs that I could discover like it was new, you know?

SPEAKER_01

Yes. And that's kind of what happened.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Do you think her middle name is Jessica? No. How funny would that be if it was like Beyoncé? Jessica. She's never said it? No, I don't know. She probably has.

SPEAKER_05

Let me look it up.

SPEAKER_01

Beyonce. It's gonna be something really regal and like fancy, but it would be funny if it was Jessica.

SPEAKER_05

It's Giselle, which makes sense. Totally. Beyonce Giselle.

SPEAKER_01

So French. I guess they are French. Yeah, they are. Yeah. Yeah. Oh my god.

SPEAKER_05

Um her mom's from Louisiana. If you guys didn't know, it's in the song.

SPEAKER_01

Also, her mom's last name, maiden name is Beyonce. Isn't that the whole thing? She named her Beyonce. It was her maiden name.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, I had no idea.

SPEAKER_01

Oh my god, I could be wrong. That sounds right, though.

SPEAKER_05

No, it sounds, and I'm not gonna look it up.

SPEAKER_01

Nope, but guys, you heard it here first.

SPEAKER_05

I definitely could act. I definitely could, because Wikipedia, I could click on it right then, but it's more fun to that.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

unknown

Oh.

SPEAKER_01

Charles Beyoncé. Yeah, it does sound like a last name. Okay, go ahead. What?

SPEAKER_05

It does. Well, then something came to my mind in talking about this and talking about, you know, like fabulous women, is that there is a documentary being made about um why does her name escape from me right now? Sound of music.

SPEAKER_01

Julie Andrews. Julie Andrews. That did send me on a spiral. When that picture would was popping up on Facebook, I was like, she's dead.

SPEAKER_05

She's dead.

SPEAKER_01

Everyone, the comments are like, Yeah, they did. They did, and it worked, and I will do all this.

SPEAKER_05

Julie Andrews, there will be a documentary, and that is never before scene or how have they not done this?

SPEAKER_01

I don't know, but this is gonna be huge. Can't wait for Disney Plus. You say documentary reminded me real quick. I finally, boyfriend and I watched the one that you recommended that you told the entirety of, but it was different getting the experience watching it.

SPEAKER_05

Were it was your mouth on the fashion on the floor?

SPEAKER_01

No, because I knew it was coming. Oh, damn, but still shocked.

SPEAKER_05

I feel like Celia. Did he know anything about it?

SPEAKER_01

No.

SPEAKER_05

Nice. What did he think?

SPEAKER_01

He was like, I can't believe that this crazy this exists. I was I had forgotten the fact that the girl she killed was 21. That part was I was like I also forgot that. And the fact that her mother found her, that sucked. Sucked so bad.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, having the 911 call in was like really sad.

SPEAKER_01

I don't know if you told me that she was on death row.

SPEAKER_05

I did.

SPEAKER_01

Well, I forgot that fact too. The youngest person in Texas on death row.

SPEAKER_05

And there's only like six. And she's probably running that. Like, she probably is like having fun, which is annoying.

SPEAKER_01

I know. I don't want to get onto the topic of death row, but it is a little like if you've been sentenced to death, the chances of it actually following through are very rare. Oh, do you have like infinite amount of appeals? Like you can put it off and put it off and put it off and put it off and put it off.

SPEAKER_05

But why would they allow that many amount of appeals?

SPEAKER_01

Like, I know. If you've been I think because it's such a serious thing to take a life.

SPEAKER_05

Definitely, but like there has to like more than 10? I know, I know.

SPEAKER_02

I don't know.

SPEAKER_05

Like what what is the I guess like different reasons for the appeal, but if it's like if they found you, if you did this thing, this heinous crime, the you know, court found you guilty, you've tried whatever appeal, I don't even know what the appeal would be, like the the prosecution was corrupt or something like that, whatever. But once like things like that are kind of through, I feel like you can't there can't be that many appeals you can make. And then once you've gotten past that, then it's like Yeah. What more can we say?

SPEAKER_01

Right. Still wild story, wild story. Okay, anyway, what's your A list of the week?

SPEAKER_05

I watched a new competition show. It's actually not new, but there's a new season that's gonna be coming out at the beginning of next year with people on it.

SPEAKER_01

You're currently watching?

SPEAKER_05

I am currently watching.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, sorry, go ahead.

SPEAKER_05

No, it's called Destination X, and it's basically like GeoGesser. Have you ever you played that, right? Oh, well, the game GeoGuesser is like basically they use um like Google Earth or whatever, and it will just drop you in a random spot in the world, and you are trying you can look around and use like Google Earth basically to like see the area. And then however like close you are is how many points you get.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, is it a website? Yeah. Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_05

I used to play it when I was like bored at my desk job. Funny I was like, didn't want to work.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Um, so it's basically that in game form. It's hosted by Jeffrey Dean Morgan, which wow, what a look like.

SPEAKER_01

Wow, yeah.

SPEAKER_05

He is just like wow.

SPEAKER_01

Sorry, it's called Destination X.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, what's it on?

SPEAKER_05

Peacock.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_05

And so in the show, they put every they this one was in Europe. I am assuming they can't like cross oceans. So I don't know if one might be in Asia, one might be in the US. I don't know.

SPEAKER_02

Okay.

SPEAKER_05

But this the first season was in Europe, and they basically like have them on a tour bus that like all the windows are blacked out.

SPEAKER_01

I auditioned for this. You did I submitted for this.

SPEAKER_05

I didn't exactly and um so it was mostly like random people, but then in the middle of the season, they put on Pilot Pete from Traderslash Bachelor and Janae from Love Island. And yeah, they basically just like drive them around, they take them to a spot, yeah, and then they have goggles on them where they can't see, and they get out, and then they will like let them see a specific place, like, and then they kind of do a challenge that if they win will give them more of a clue versus just like you know, looking at a random building in the countryside, if you will, or whatever. And then they go back on the bus and they, you know, there's alliances. You like maybe if you've gotten close to someone, like you might share the information that you think you know, or if you got a clue, you might share the clue with your alliance, if you will. Okay. And then at the end of the episode, you have to go into the map room and you have to guess where you are, and then the person who's furthest away gets kicked off.

unknown

Oof.

SPEAKER_05

I had a great time watching it.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, well, I may I'll I maybe I'll check it out. I obviously didn't make it on the show. You would have seen it.

SPEAKER_05

I feel like you would have been good at at least the like alliance part.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, my angle in the video was very much like this will be a challenge for me, but I'm really good at context clues, but it's gonna be hard because I spent my whole youth learning about Bible history and not actual geography of places.

SPEAKER_05

That would have been funny. There was like a guy on there who had never been out of the United States, and he did so well. He was like so like country and like you know, a farm guy, but he had a really funny personality, and he was just like, I don't know, but like he just made friends with people that gave him helped him out, helped him out.

SPEAKER_02

Good old boy.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, but it was I highly recommend. I had a great time watching it. It's probably it's only like you know, 10 episodes if normal.

SPEAKER_01

Destination X.

SPEAKER_05

Destination X and Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Wow.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, what a looker!

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, all right.

Goodbyes And A Quick Reminder

SPEAKER_05

Well, what else do you have to say before we end this?

SPEAKER_00

So long farewell to you, my friend. Goodbye for now.

SPEAKER_04

Till we meet again.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, and you did it in the right key.

SPEAKER_05

Thank you so much. Wow, everyone, what a nice ending. I did something right vocally. Yeah. We'll see you in the next one. Drop a comment and like, subscribe, share, and be nice. Be nice to people.

SPEAKER_01

Love you.

SPEAKER_05

What okay, yeah, definitely do that though. I don't know why. Okay, love you, bye.
