The Accent Bit And Catching Up

SPEAKER_03

Okay, before we start, I want to ask how would you feel if I attempted to do the entire episode with an accent?

SPEAKER_02

I would feel bad.

SPEAKER_03

I wouldn't like it. You would feel bad.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Like British, if I really tried to pull it off.

SPEAKER_01

Would people be offended?

SPEAKER_03

For a British accent?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I don't know. You can do you want to try? I do want to try. I feel like people would they like it?

SPEAKER_03

I don't know. Maybe in the cut if in a cut down I'm speaking with a British accent, people are like, what's going on here? What's what's happening? Maybe it'll help with engagement.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, well, let's hear it.

SPEAKER_03

It's like I'm uh, what's it called when actors really get into it?

SPEAKER_02

Method?

SPEAKER_03

It's method.

SPEAKER_02

Are you preparing for a role?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, I'm preparing to be cast as one of those sexy British vampires in one of those books you love.

SPEAKER_02

This is so funny because I have to talk about a movie with a British man in it today. Like in this episode.

SPEAKER_03

So great. This is gonna this is how this is happening.

unknown

All right.

SPEAKER_03

Ready?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Welcome back.

SPEAKER_01

I was just watching. Okay.

SPEAKER_03

I'm Alex. We'll see how long you can last. Because I think it's less about me, it's more about you.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. How's it going?

SPEAKER_03

It's going great, actually. I'm um finally catching up on so much editing work. You have to just get used to it. This is who I am. Catching up on a lot of editing work and then getting into the groove of like a new schedule at work. We um had another mass

Layoffs And Recording Without Support

SPEAKER_03

layoff happen, which was rough.

SPEAKER_00

There's a mass layoff.

SPEAKER_03

Like every two months.

SPEAKER_00

How is there anyone?

SPEAKER_03

So that's what after okay. So we got the email and it was like, just let us know. Like that those of us freelancers that are fine, they're like, you're safe, you're good. And I was like, great.

SPEAKER_01

You can't look at me because you're going to laugh. Because I'm gonna laugh.

SPEAKER_03

We just have to get used to it, it has to become normal. For sure, for sure. Okay, so I was like, okay, I'm good, but I feel bad because I know some of my friends are gonna get the boot. So anyway. Really sorry. So then it comes through that 35% of the BuzzFeed full-time employees are being let go. If you take that percent plus the last three layoffs, that's about 100%.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, where that's who's working?

SPEAKER_03

Me. Like true. No, it's so funny because this is just this has just happened. This is just a coincidence. This has nothing to do with the layoffs. But tomorrow, when I go in to record for Gay and Shrine, we have no additional support, no help. I'm going in to build the set all by myself. Dylan's coming in. We have no one behind the camera. Which until this moment, truly, I have been like, how weird is it gonna be to record a podcast without anyone behind the cameras to perform to? You and I record by ourselves every week.

SPEAKER_02

I think you can really be yourself. You know, you can say anything because you know you can just edit it out if it is weird. Can I ask you, where are you from?

SPEAKER_03

Hmm across the pond.

SPEAKER_02

Do we is there do we have a region?

SPEAKER_03

I've been all over love.

SPEAKER_02

Okay. So it's kind of a your accent is kind of an amalgamation of Yeah, those who those who are from where I'm from, they know they get it.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Okay.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, so that

Dream Street Collab Goes Viral

SPEAKER_03

is what's going on with me. I want to touch a bit on some exciting news for us, which is you guys, the music videos, the mini music videos, you know them, you love them. I on Okay, I'm done with the British accent. I thought I'd last longer.

SPEAKER_00

Oh god. Okay.

SPEAKER_03

We thought that it would. I was just like, kind of jokingly, was like, I'm just gonna try to collab with Dream Street.

SPEAKER_02

Like, I know that's funny. Why haven't we just done that with all of them?

SPEAKER_03

I don't know. Yeah, but like truly, A Teens definitely would have because it's all they're all just like fan page, they're basically just like historical pages.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, just like posting all the stuff.

SPEAKER_03

Dream Street, I have more followers than them, so that's why I did it. Is I was like, if little old me has more followers, surely they'll collab. Yeah, guys, they collabed. And boy, has it been it's so interesting to see how different people's like it's well received all over, but the responses are very different on TikTok versus Instagram. Yeah, nostalgia is the through line, yeah. But like TikTok, I don't know if you ever like if you go through the comments of the Dream Street video right now, it's 90% of them are like thanks for the invite. Oh, I want to do this with you guys so bad. Like, it is doing what I wouldn't, that's what I wanted this to be. I wanted it to be like a this is me just actually creating the content that I envisioned in my head as a preteen teen with my cousins, but that was before iPhones and you could make make cool looking shit for very inexpensive and quickly.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

So it's scratching that itch. So I am hitting the audience that I intended, which is the people that were like me who are just like, Yeah, I want to do this with my friends so badly.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

We are creating the FOMO that I was hoping to create.

SPEAKER_02

What's the Instagram? Because I feel like I see that those kind of things on both.

SPEAKER_03

So, yes, I think that there's definitely more of it happening on TikTok. Instagram feels like it's more people that are fans of the artist that are just like excited about us doing a song by the time.

SPEAKER_02

I do see people like, wow, I'm glad other people are listening to this. Like I've been listening to this for whatever. Yeah, that's true.

SPEAKER_03

And I think way more overseas people are watching it on TikTok. I think I really hit the like the European audience and like tons of people from the Philippines are following me now. Um anyway, I'm now just working on like how to um evolve this. I think you're hearing it here first. I think that the next step is I might hire Sid to design merch for us or look a few different logos.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_03

Because like I don't want I want it to be real so that if people are like, hey I can be like, no, I hired a real graphic designer and she's good and I think she would get it. Yeah, we need to figure out like what is the cat what it is, but then we we slap it on three sweatshirts so that you the three of us wear a few times and then we just sell them.

SPEAKER_02

Question Yeah, do we start a new Instagram page? I thought of that too, like maybe we do so that the there can be a name hub for it, and like a name of us.

SPEAKER_03

I mean, I think that all of this is we I want to discuss with you and Angela because I feel like now it's starting to get into the territory of like it would be stupid if we didn't find a way to monetize on this. Yeah. Not to take advantage of anyone at all, but it's like if I if we were wearing something just to throw it out there that was like millennial core, but it was done in a cool Y2K font and looked trendy enough, it's like hey Gretchen or Fetch, what was the name of our short-lived failed shirt company?

SPEAKER_02

Um Gretsch in. It was Gretchen. Gretchen? Yeah, Gretchen.

SPEAKER_03

It's like that, but it would just be like for like two or three things that just are like yeah, maybe or the internet is so interesting because it could go both ways.

SPEAKER_02

Like we could start a new page and it could blow up, or it could we could start it and no one would care. So it's like we could do any, we could if someone wanted to put money behind us to promote something or whatever, like it's just as easy for us to write it in the contract that we just all collab post. Yeah, then because that's what weirdly, like we the fitness marshal, we haven't really done a lot of social media campaigns together. We've done YouTube, sure. But recently we did one where we all had our own contract and then we all collab posted and it was very seamless. Okay. So that is also something that could happen, but or we could start a new page and it could get its own situation and whatever.

SPEAKER_03

Well, that is probably good anyway, because if we do start producing merch, having it direct back to that so that because I don't are you legally allowed to pedal any other brands as long as it's not activewear?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah. Like we I could do like a t-shirt, like a graphic t-shirt or something.

SPEAKER_03

So that way too, it kind of separates like from our own personal stuff. Like, we don't have to be you don't have to be on your page being like, buy active booty, buy this merch. It's more like it just everyone buy everything. Buy everything. So anyway, it was very exciting to see Dream Street accept the collaboration.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

And so cute. There's so many more to come.

SPEAKER_02

I will say, you I guess you guys just got a glimpse into like conversations like this, but I think it is interesting for people because it's so accessible to be a content creator now. And I was just thinking about this because so there's um there's been like drama

Merch Ideas And Monetizing Carefully

SPEAKER_02

on Montauk recently.

SPEAKER_03

Imagine that.

SPEAKER_02

Where one of the like small stores put up a sign and they were like, No influencers allowed.

SPEAKER_03

Oh my god. In Utah? No, Montauk is I thought you said mom talk.

SPEAKER_02

Oh no, no, no. Montauk the island of Montauk.

SPEAKER_03

Well, I take that back because I don't know anything about Montauk. Okay, I don't either, but it's a rich, surprising.

SPEAKER_02

It's a that I know super rich, yeah. Um, and one of the little boutique stores like put up a sign and they were like, No influencers allowed. Like they didn't want influencers to come in and film their shit, okay. Which is like a kind of dumb on their part because it's the biggest form of promotion now and free advertising, yeah. Um, and someone who there's a very popular and famous influencer, don't remember, maybe Page Page Lorenz, maybe, or I don't know. Someone, someone very like influential in that area, yeah, yeah, got was very upset by it. And it was like, why would you say this when like people coming into your store, you know what we just said, it's like a free thing. And their whole thing is like they just don't want people to be disturbed, they don't want the ring lights, they don't okay, which like totally get, but you also have just alienated a lot of people. And then I was thinking, like, what is the difference between an influencer and a content creator? Because I do think now there is a difference. There is, you're right. Like, I wouldn't really consider myself an influencer.

SPEAKER_03

I agree.

SPEAKER_02

I would call myself a content creator. I don't know if that is just because it feels cringy to call myself an influencer. Um, no, I think you're right.

SPEAKER_03

I think there is a kind of a line.

SPEAKER_02

But like my whole thing isn't like can come along and do this thing with me, and I'm gonna show you all the things you need to buy. Yes. And like, here's like a curated blah blah blah. Like, I think of those people more as influencers versus me. It's like I'm like posting content and making dances and whatever. And then every once in a while I'll be like, hey, here's this thing I really like. Like I want to share that with you, and that is you know, an influencing type of thing to do. But it isn't, I don't think that I'm an influencer.

SPEAKER_03

I would agree.

SPEAKER_02

I think you are a good one type of person.

SPEAKER_03

Correct, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

So I don't know, I thought that was very interesting, and it is so accessible to be a content creator now that I think like those kind of conversations are interesting on like how you how you come up with like a concept and execute it, and then like what comes after that.

SPEAKER_03

Well, and I will I'm like considering this sounds so stupid because it it does sound stupid, but like so many comments are also like, How did you do this? And it is so mind-blowingly easy.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, and I was like, I could make a course, you definitely could, but it is like you are this type of it part of it is my eye and my mind, yes.

SPEAKER_03

But if the general consensus of so many of these millennials that are watching us, yeah, is like I would love to do this with my friends, and I could like make a 10-minute video that just shows you how to do it. Yeah, guys, I use an iPhone, this light that's behind Allison, yeah, and final cut editing software.

SPEAKER_02

Which I was telling someone recently who was like wanted to edit some videos but doesn't have Final Cut. No, I was talking to Angela about it.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, okay. Because she uses iMovie still.

SPEAKER_02

And I was like, okay, Final Cut is expensive. So one time, you know, but Cap Cut is the exact same interface as Final Cut on like desktop.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And I was like, it is the same commands, the same shortcuts, all of that. So like if you start using Cap Cut and that is a way cheaper subscription to pay for than to pay for Final Cut, then you're you have everything almost everything that Final Cut has.

SPEAKER_03

Well, and and I well, how much Cap Cut monthly is what? It's like $5.99 or something. Um I was like, if you learn on on Cap Cut and then like Final Cut is expensive, it's $300, but it's a one-time purchase, you have it for life.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, it is an upfront thing.

SPEAKER_03

It is, but if you learn on Cap Cut and you're like, I got this, there are way more customizational things you can do. Like the tracking, like the cuts that I do that zoom and turn, that is trickier to do in Cap Cut. It is so easy in Final Cut because you can customize everything. Yeah. But what's the price?

SPEAKER_02

I don't know. I can't, it's not I can't.

SPEAKER_03

It might be a little more than that, but I think it used to be less than 10 bucks a month.

SPEAKER_02

Hold on, let me look at Cap Cut price. Yeah, if you do it on your phone, it's a little different. So it's $19.99 per month or $179 per year. So I guess it is cheaper to buy Final Cut once in the long run. In the long run.

SPEAKER_03

But if you wanted to like try it out, definitely doing Cap Cut for a couple months. I anyway, so I'm just like, I would love like I don't want to gatekeep because I mean, what's the saying? Mimicry is the best form of flattery. Uh when someone copies you, it's like flattering.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

And like everyone would have their own unique take on it. And I'm like, I I put myself in that those people's shoes. It's like I would have died if for someone to teach me how to do this.

SPEAKER_02

I definitely can. So because you could also then expand and do music, like full music video.

SPEAKER_03

Correct. It's all in the works. Anyway, when Angela's back from the East Coast, I thought the three of us should just meet and kind of see how do we take this to the next level because people fucking care. It's really keeps the interest every time.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. And if anything, I love a new t-shirt. Hell yeah. So if we make a shirt and seven people buy it, I have it still and I want to want to wear it.

SPEAKER_03

And like my my following, I'm I'm now at 10,000. I got 400 followers in the last three days on TikTok. So I'm now over 10K.

SPEAKER_02

Cute, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

And when I this year started, like we posted the first one, the Celine Dion we posted on February 10th. And I had 1900 followers on TikTok. So in six months. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Wait, I thought you had more. Do you have you have more on Instagram?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, Instagram I almost have 18K. Yeah. But these videos got me from like 11k to 18k. Yeah. Um, so anyway, I'm just like, how do we I don't want to be money grabby, that's not the point. But it's like, how do we make this into a thing that can become more of a job for us and less of just for fun?

SPEAKER_02

This kind of content is refreshing for people because it isn't selling them things.

SPEAKER_03

Yes, exactly.

SPEAKER_02

But if it's just like, hey, no pressure, we made this shirt, we think it's cute, if you want it like cool, then that's a different thing because I think everyone loves a t-shirt.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. So anyway, lots to consider. It's all very exciting. I love that people are responding to it. And here is if anyone out there listens to the A-list who is listening to the A-list or watching, and you are curious about content creation or where to start, what to do, this is literally everyone says this is no. I have taken, I have paid so much money for courses, I have fallen down rabbit holes for years trying to figure out like how do people get into this. It's really simple, and it hit me like a fucking train after we started doing this content. Make the shit that you want to watch. Yeah. I was truly just like, well, if I'm like, like I love this stuff, like I would love to see this. Oh, duh, that's the answer. Make the thing that you want to see because more than likely, a lot of people want to see that kind of stuff. Yeah. And then it just works because it's authentic.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. And everything is so

Influencer Vs Content Creator Debate

SPEAKER_02

saturated now. I feel like a lot of people are making the same kind of content. So I think that's another thing that it's like a refreshing, like different thing. Totally. And it looks so qu it it is so high quality, but it is so low lift. It's such a low. And it looks like it's taking us. You know, when people shoot a music video, it's like 10 hours or multiple days, multiple days, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Days and days of edit. No, guys, I don't I don't even care. It takes us like per song, because we always batch shoot typically two to four songs at a time.

SPEAKER_02

It takes us an hour to do like what six six to eight?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And then it takes you what how long to edit?

SPEAKER_03

15 to 20 minutes.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Again, these are it's because of my shortcuts and my tricks and final cut that I would share if I but it is also your eye. And it is my eye. Like, I definitely go into these songs already in my head, knowing how I want them to be.

SPEAKER_02

Because if both of us edited, it'd be so it would actually be funny if one time like that.

SPEAKER_03

What if the three or the three of us?

SPEAKER_02

Like, we also saw the difference in editing and what like moments we picked. Well, speaking of money, this is like one of my like my week things.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, tell me what's going on with you.

SPEAKER_02

So I've had a little snafu with my taxes.

SPEAKER_03

What you how?

SPEAKER_02

Well, so my like tax lady filed a extension for me.

SPEAKER_03

Is she in the Midwest?

SPEAKER_02

No.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, she okay. You have a tax lady.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, she filed an extension for me. So like I like have a minute to figure it out. But basically, there was a mix-up with uh documentation from my financial advisor.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_02

And it has to do with my 401k like moving accounts, basically, like being taken out of one account and put in a different thing. And it looked like I made I took that money out. She was like, Are you are you buying a house?

SPEAKER_03

Oh god. No, you're like, what? No. No.

SPEAKER_02

And she was like, Well, it looks like this money, like you took it out, and then it didn't, like it's it looks like income for you. Like you took it out to do something with it. And I was like, I did not do that. She was like, Okay, well, we need to figure that out, or like you owe $30,000. I was like, Okay, well, no, I don't because I don't have that.

SPEAKER_03

That's just not true.

SPEAKER_02

So I've been trying to figure out how that I think it's fine. I just think like one document was missed. And like once that is uploaded, then like he my guy was like, my financial advisor guy was like, Once you have these two documents, like the story is told. Like this money was removed from this account, put in this account.

SPEAKER_03

Here's the proof.

SPEAKER_02

And it's yeah, it should be fine, but you know, I'm stressed about well, you know, I'm stressed.

SPEAKER_03

Too many of my friends have the same financial advisor. And if this person runs off with your money, you're all fucked. Everyone's being a good one.

SPEAKER_02

But it is, I was just like, it's so having a weird job and doing your taxes is so confusing and you don't understand, which I do not understand. And as soon as I started this job, like when I had my old job and it was like, here's your W9, whatever, you have nothing else, it was like so easy to do, and now it's like so many different income streams and it's so stressful.

SPEAKER_03

It is. I don't envy you.

SPEAKER_02

Well, that's why I had to have someone do it for sure. So but I think it'll be fine.

SPEAKER_03

Has that been the majority of your week dealing with money?

SPEAKER_02

Kind of. I also oh, I finally got my uh ticket time to get Olympics tickets.

SPEAKER_03

And let me tell you Wait a minute, so you didn't miss out.

SPEAKER_02

No, so I I missed the first opportunity.

SPEAKER_03

Did you know there was gonna be another opportunity?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, so it's like if you don't get in the first one, you're automatically put in the second drawing. But then I got an email that was like if you have a Visa card, you can be in the Visa presale thing.

SPEAKER_03

Hilarious.

SPEAKER_02

And so I signed in that, signed up for that, and then I got picked for that one. Okay. So yesterday was the day to pin it. To buy tickets. A lot.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, because aren't they very expensive?

SPEAKER_02

It depends. Like the all of the finals, like the medal things were crazy. Like I we Josh and I both marked like sports we want to see.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And the like swimming was like a thousand dollars because it's probably Katie Ledecki's last Olympics. And everyone wants to see that. But then swimming in general is really popular, like gymnastics. There was like some when I first logged on, and then I went back to look and they were completely gone. So the time was 10 a.m. And then I was in a queue for like 45 minutes before I could get in. Yeah. And then I got in and it was like, oh, there's so many sports that like sifting through it was really a lot to do. Um, so and Josh was at work, so we were try I was trying to coordinate and everything.

SPEAKER_03

So you have a set amount of time, like you You have forty eight hours. Oh, okay, okay.

SPEAKER_02

But as of the evening yesterday, everything was gone. So I they do hold back tickets. So there's another there's the second drop that then everyone who wasn't in the first one will be able to be in, and I'm sure they'll have more. Tickets for that that they didn't put out in this visa one.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

But yeah, by the end of the day, it was like nothing.

SPEAKER_03

So did you get anything?

SPEAKER_02

I did. We got random. Like I saw that there was the indoor women's volleyball quarterfinal was available and it wasn't that crazy. They were like 70 bucks a piece. Okay. So I just got that because I was like, I feel like a quarterfinal is more likely that we'll see America. Because if you do a random preliminary round, you have no idea what teams are going to be playing against each other. Um, so that, and then we got um handball.

SPEAKER_03

Handball.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. It's this random sport.

SPEAKER_03

With the trampoline?

SPEAKER_02

No.

SPEAKER_03

You like throw it on the bouncy thing?

SPEAKER_02

No.

SPEAKER_03

What is handball?

SPEAKER_02

It's like a weird thing where there's I don't think it's like a basketball, but they don't dribble. And there's like a goal at the end. I think. Am I crazy? Oh, wait. No.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, you're going to see that.

SPEAKER_02

Definitely not that at all. I've watched it before. Handball is a fast-paced indoor team sport where two teams of seven players pass and throw a ball into an opposing goal. I think it's like.

SPEAKER_03

Is there a picture?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. It's giving like soccer but throwing.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, I have seen this. Yes. Okay, okay.

SPEAKER_02

The other one I'm thinking of, I don't know what that is called then. It's like there's not dribbling, you just like pass the ball, and then there's like one goal on each side, but you have to throw it really high for

How To Make Mini Music Videos

SPEAKER_02

it to fall in. It's random. I don't know. I don't know. But this is like soccer butt throwing.

SPEAKER_03

So you got those two events.

SPEAKER_02

We got those two events.

SPEAKER_03

That's it.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Because because it was we were doing, we were looking, and you could only get 12 tickets. So we were like marking things or like saving things. And then I was like, I'm just gonna get this volleyball one because it's a good, it's a good deal for a good match. And then I was like, you like here's my card, like just get whatever you whatever you think. Because I'm down to watch anything. All the ones that I really want to watch are already sold out or are gymnastics swimming 600 to $1,000, which obviously we're not paying. So I've already resigned. Yeah, I've already resigned myself that we're not seeing those. So I'm down to literally watching.

SPEAKER_03

Was Dodge is dodgeball not in the Olympics this that I didn't see it. Interesting.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

I know that not everything's in every time.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. So I was like, yeah, just get whatever. And then by the time he could after work, he was like, everything's gone.

SPEAKER_03

So we're just gonna have to Will you get to do the next no, but he will. Ah, okay. So you can look at a few more things.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

How much were handball?

SPEAKER_02

Uh around the same thing. They were like a little like that's not bad. $15 to $20 cheaper.

SPEAKER_03

You get to say that you went to the Olympics, which is cool. I'm planning to be gone for two weeks.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, it is gonna be crazy because this the stuff up in the valley is like by us.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

So it's gonna be insane. And that sucks, but it'll be fun.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

So that was basically it.

SPEAKER_03

Well, that's exciting because I thought you were like out of the running totally.

SPEAKER_02

Same because it was like I'm not getting any of these things. Yeah. So that was pretty much it.

SPEAKER_03

Okay. And here we are. We're filming, we're recording on a Thursday.

SPEAKER_02

A Thursday. Okay. Did anyone comment last time that they didn't like when I gave away that whole documentary?

SPEAKER_03

No, there were no negative comments.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, because I have another one that I watched.

SPEAKER_03

Well, and I will say for the record, for anyone that just didn't comment but maybe thought it, she did tell me the whole documentary, and I still watched it, and it was still like new information for me.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, well, here's another spoiler alert if you would like to pause and or skip forward and come back later. Because I have to talk about this documentary. Tell me everything called Toxic Love Story. Have you seen it? Did you watch it?

SPEAKER_03

No.

SPEAKER_02

Okay.

SPEAKER_03

I see I have seen I've seen it like in the scroll.

SPEAKER_02

What a wild ride.

SPEAKER_03

Really?

SPEAKER_02

Let me tell you.

SPEAKER_03

Please.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, so it starts out with this random lady. Should come. She comes back up at towards the end. But she's kind of she starts out talking about how this guy is her best friend and they're Disney adults and they love to go to Disneyland together. I know when it starts out, I was like, I was like, where's this going? But she was basically just being like, you know, young at heart, like just love going to Disney. It's like our whole thing, whatever. Yeah. And then he gets a girlfriend, and they have a whirlwind experience. Like they like are engaged after two weeks, they're married after a couple months, and then she's already pregnant.

SPEAKER_03

That feels Disney adult.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And like all seems well.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And then they show that the fiance of this man starts getting these threatening emails from a random person under the pseudonym Lilith. Do you know Lilith from the Bible?

SPEAKER_00

Of course.

SPEAKER_02

Okay. Well, the initial emails are like very religiously coded. And it's like, you, you know, you will come, you'll get what's coming to you. God will, blah, blah, blah. And then they start being like, I am gonna, I'm watching you, like, I'm gonna come. You should be afraid because you know, I know what I I know everything you do and everything you are, like you're gonna die, basically, and just like really threatening like that. And so they call the police and they like file a report on it, and the officers come over and they're telling them about it, they're showing them the things. The guy, the boyfriend is a US marshal.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_02

And he makes that known, and that's of note. And so they're like continuously getting these emails and they're having to And it's coming to the woman or the man or coming to the woman.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, okay, okay.

SPEAKER_02

And they are keep having to have these uh the police getting police reports called and all these things. And then they think, I think it's his ex-girlfriend that's doing that.

SPEAKER_03

I would have thought that for immediately anyway. But anyway. I mean, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

I mean it's who else, you know. And so they're like, I am I oh, I think she starts signing them with her name. So then they're like, Oh, it's obviously her.

SPEAKER_03

Because it's her name.

SPEAKER_02

It's clear she's signing her name to these.

SPEAKER_03

That's incriminating, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Right. And then it comes to a head where she gets an uh email, or no, an email is sent to a guy on Craigslist who does a meetup of a assault fantasy, if you will. I'm trying not to say the word that starts with an R.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Um, and he they set up where he's gonna come over and she's gonna have this like fantasy moment happen. And the emails are like, I'm I'm gonna like try to resist you and just know that I was I want it to happen. Like, don't stop, basically. And the guy, because he's like does this, I guess, with other people, he's like thinks it's normal. And so he goes there, but then he sees that there's a man there, and he's like, This wasn't part of the agreement, so I'm not going in there and I'm not getting beat up by this guy. Yeah, like there was no man involved in our discussion discussion. So he leaves, he doesn't do it. And then they call the police, and they're like, I saw this man come up, and then we saw this, and then we saw the email or something. I don't know. I'm missing, I might be missing a little detail there. But they call the police and they're like, We know that it's her, and the police are like, Okay, we

Tax Stress And The 401K Mix-Up

SPEAKER_02

have enough that we can go arrest her. So they arrest her, and then she gets in for questioning, and they're like, Did you send an email to this woman? She goes, I did.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_02

She's like, I I she was like, I know, I'm sorry. Like, I was just like, I was in a really bad place, and I know I shouldn't have said you know that stuff, but like I was really hurt by him. And the police are like, Okay, she gets put in jail. Okay, she's confessed. Like, she has confessed, she is in jail. Then that part of the documentary is over. We cut to we go into the past, and that the ex-girlfriend who has been now incarcerated, she is like, let me tell you about my ex-boyfriend. He's crazy. He, which like, duh, we knew this. Yeah. Um, he basically was like so controlling of her and was like um put like tracker on her car. And she, if she went anywhere outside of like her job, and I think she might have been taking classes at a school or something, like if she went anywhere else, he would like immediately start calling her, blowing up her phone, calling her a million times, mad at her. What are you doing? Like, so he was like very controlling and very like she could not escape him in any way. He convinced her to buy a condo together, but she just paid for it.

SPEAKER_03

Right.

SPEAKER_02

Um, so now she's like financially tied to him. And then he decides he starts like really like pushing this that he wants to watch her sleep with someone else.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_02

And he wants to watch. And she's like, I don't want to do that. And he's like, Well, we'll not let it go. Every single day, he's like, I want you to do this, I want you to do this, blah blah blah.

SPEAKER_03

Cock fantasy, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And then she finally is like, Oh my gosh, like, I will if I do this one time, will you back off? Like, I'm telling you, I'll do it once, but I will never do it again. So you have to know that before I agree to do it this one time.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

So she does it, and then she feels like horrible. She didn't want to do it, and he's not letting up and whatever. So she like one day decides she's leaving him and she leaves in the night and she drives. I think they live in somewhere in California. Oh, they lived in Anaheim. She gets all she drives all the way to Arizona, and then she wakes up in a field. Not kidding. And she's found by like a Native American family, and they take her to the hospital, and they're like, You were in a psychosis. That's when she writes the email to him, the original one about from Lilith, about God, all these things. So that's what she has confessed to.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_02

Then we have another part of the documentary where we go into the life of the current fiance who was getting the incriminate that she's pregnant, getting the incriminating things. We go back into an ex-boyfriend of hers, and he's like, She's crazy. And she's just like the previous documentary, she's one of those girls that just lies about everything. She has lied that she has cancer. And everyone bel and she's made everyone believe she has cancer. She like is gets super f skinny and frail, and she's like going to get her chemo, blah, blah, blah. And then one day, one of her friends, she has a head wrap on because she's losing her hair. And her one of her friends like notices like she is like pushing up a lot of hair from the back. And she's like, something's off about this. And then her ex-boyfriend, who you know is a part of a big part of this section, is like, yeah, we realize like she doesn't actually have cancer at all. So we stay this intervention.

SPEAKER_00

Oh my god.

SPEAKER_02

And because like a place where she was like supposed to be going, like, I think her friend called, which like HIPAA violation and was like, Hey, I'm supposed to be picking up my um friend from her appointment. Like, can you let me know when she's gonna be done? And they were like, We don't have anyone.

SPEAKER_03

That's not a HIPAA violation. I actually know that. Oh, okay. You can say they are allowed to say that person is here, that person isn't here.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, well, they're like, we don't have a record of this person at all ever. Okay, basically. And so then they're like, We have to stage this intervention. They do, and she's like doubling down. She's like, No, I do have cancer. What are you talking about? And she's just like, whatever, I'm just gonna leave

Olympics Ticket Chaos And Weird Sports

SPEAKER_02

because you guys are being mean to me. She leaves, and then they're like, This relationship's over, like you're insane.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

So then we cut back to present day, current couple, current couple. Okay, her pregnancy is not real.

SPEAKER_03

Oh my god, another one, right?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, and the police like start looking into this whole thing and they're like, something doesn't add up. On both, something's not right. Yeah, they find these um pregnancy tests are fake, and they found a uh sonogram that was fake. And the police bring the boyfriend in for the original boyfriend in for um questioning, and they're like, Did you know that her pregnancy wasn't real? And he turns on her and he's like, Oh my god, she she's done all of this, like she is behind everything. I can't believe that she would do this to me.

SPEAKER_03

Uh-huh.

SPEAKER_02

Convenient, convenient. So, yeah, this police officer that thinks things are fishy, he starts really diving in and he's investigating the investigation.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, in a scent.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, he looks into everything and he starts he watches all the body camera footage for like a million times, and he even gets like into metadata on the guy's computer. Because remember, he said he was a US, he's a US Marshal. He is a US Marshal. Yeah. And he made sure that every time the police were there on the body cam footage that they were seeing this is my badge, I'm a U.S. Marshal. Because he's trying to like get them to trust him.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And when the guy looks into the metadata on his computer, they find that the emails are coming from him.

SPEAKER_03

Oh my God. Yeah. Not the Lilith, but everything after.

SPEAKER_02

So he mimicked the style that she wrote the first email, two emails in, where she's Lilith and she's talking.

SPEAKER_03

She sent two emails.

SPEAKER_02

She sent two emails.

SPEAKER_03

Got it.

SPEAKER_02

And he then he decides that he's hates her and he's gonna take her down by mimicking the style of the emails that she wrote. So she just gets caught up in something bad. Because she's like, Yeah, I sent those emails, but I was just like a girl going through something.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Like I was just really hurt. But little did she know, they use the those to then create this whole thing against her. And because the new girl is crazy, she's like so down to be a part of it. So together they're in on this whole thing.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, they both are in on it.

SPEAKER_02

They're in on it until he turns on her because then he's like, I'm not going down with you. Yeah. So he tries to make it look like she's the only one that did it. And the police officer like gets all this information and then he presents this and he gets both of them convicted.

SPEAKER_00

Wow.

SPEAKER_02

So they're both convicted, and then at the end, this girl that started it all, where she's like, This is my best friend, blah, blah, blah. Everyone's like, Yeah, they're all crazy. They all did this, blah, blah, blah. This girl's like, he would never do that. And the police officer is like, Yeah, this girl's in love with him. And then she goes, I'm not in love with him. He was just my best friend, but I believe him 100%. He would never do this. Girl, you look crazy. Crazy. And that's how it ends. I was like, I would be so mad if that was me. And like, I just got yeah, made to look out. Like, I'm just like, so did him.

SPEAKER_03

Did they both go to jail then for all this like conspira conspiracy? Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

So the original girl got exonerated of everything, charges dropped. She isn't, she's good.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_02

They are both in there, but they're not in there for that long. So I'm kind of worried for when they get out.

SPEAKER_03

No one died, thankfully, but yeah. Still my god. People are wild.

SPEAKER_02

Twists and turns. At no point did I know in this whole documentary what was coming next.

SPEAKER_03

And that is what you want in a documentary like that.

SPEAKER_02

Truly.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, what's it called?

SPEAKER_02

Toxic Love Story.

SPEAKER_03

Toxic Love Story on Netflix. Netflix, yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Wow.

SPEAKER_03

Well done. You're good at retelling. Am I a good storyteller? You are. You're good. I had fun.

SPEAKER_02

It's kind of like a new passion of mine. I love it.

SPEAKER_03

I was in. I'm in.

SPEAKER_02

But hopefully, if okay, you guys comment below though. If you actually hate it, I won't do it. Or I'll just like give you a brief synopsis that doesn't give everything away. But like it's kind of really fun for me to retell it.

SPEAKER_03

It's cute. It's fun to listen.

SPEAKER_02

Thank you.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

The only other big there's two big stories I have. One is BTS boycotting the Grammys.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, big.

SPEAKER_02

What do you think of this?

SPEAKER_03

I love that. I think that that's okay. Here's the thing. I like that they're recognizing the K-pop genre as being so influential it deserves its own award. Yeah. But I also see BTS's point and like, can it just exist as just music and music is music is music?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Well, let me read the headline or like the little thing for anyone that doesn't know. So the this article says members of the Global K-pop sensation BTS announced Wednesday that they have decided not to submit music for consideration for the next Grammy Awards. An apparent protest of new category they think makes music less universal. They said we have decided not to enter the Grammys this year. I hope music itself can be heard and loved rather than being distinguished by region or language. So I think a lot of people are like thinking that the gr the recording academy is like BTS is like steamrolling everything. Well, I mean, before they before they went into a year and a half, two years off.

SPEAKER_03

Two.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. But before that, like they were winning so many categories. And it's like, are they trying to give people other other people a chance to win and like suppressing then BTS from winning by making a category that's just Asian? It's I think it is um Asian pop. Best Asian pop music performance, which recognizes music from including but not limited to K-pop, J pop, and C pop.

SPEAKER_03

Isn't it like like English but heavy on a different language? There's something about the language in the definition, isn't it?

SPEAKER_02

With meaningful use of one or more Asian languages.

SPEAKER_03

Meaningful use of one or more Asian languages.

SPEAKER_02

And then the CEO said he wanted to clarify that it's what seems like to be getting lost in conversation. The Asian pop category was created to celebrate the depth, diversity, and extraordinary growth of pop artistry coming out of Asia. The spirit of this new category is to shine a dedicated spotlight on these important artists. More categories mean more artist work is recognized. It's never to divide but expand. Um, and then he said, like it does not mean that they cannot be considered in general categories, including record of the year, album of the year, and song of the year.

SPEAKER_03

Right. But I think the thing is if BTS is like, okay, fine, and then if they don't show up in that category, then it's like we were right.

SPEAKER_02

Right. Yeah. So I I mean I support their I do too. I think that because they paved the way for that whole category, basically, I think like they're the ones to maybe set a precedent or like stand up to it. So like I do appreciate that they are not so award hungry that they're like, whatever, we just want the award. They're like, no, we want to stand up for what we think is right. And I I like that of them there. Yeah, they're good guys.

SPEAKER_03

But that was shocking to read. Oh shit, okay. All right, boys.

SPEAKER_02

I know. I support. They did get, they were the first K-pop group to be to get a Grammy nomination, right? I have no idea, but that seems absolutely in 2020 for Dynamite, I believe. So that's been big news. That is big news. Yeah. And I guess we'll see what happens. I wonder like who's gonna win? Because like Blackpink doesn't have nothing out. New music. It's like cat's eye.

SPEAKER_03

Um cat's eye's not can't be in that category, can they?

SPEAKER_02

Oh, right, because they're English. Yeah, it's all English.

SPEAKER_03

I think it would probably be um XG. Yeah, maybe La Seraphim, they put out a new album.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Probably.

Toxic Love Story Documentary Recap

SPEAKER_03

I mean, there's so many, but I would love if X Love got nominated. The like queer boys.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

That'd be so cute.

SPEAKER_02

I guess we'll just have to we'll have to report back, you know?

SPEAKER_03

And hyphen, didn't they put something out? And hypen?

SPEAKER_02

Probably. I haven't kept up on really anyone's new albums, to be so honest.

SPEAKER_03

Hybe? Is that the name of the company?

SPEAKER_02

Hybe, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Lindsay and Joyce just got to go to their like US headquarters.

SPEAKER_02

The Geffen, Hybe ex Geffen? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. That's who that's Cat's Eyes. They created that for the Cat's Eye, you know, yeah. And beyond.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Isn't there drama too with the the like Cat's Eye spinoff group and that girl has quit again?

SPEAKER_02

She did quit again. And um they're the girl you were excited about. Uh Saint Sateen is their name. And yes, um, what is her name?

SPEAKER_03

Isn't it Allie?

SPEAKER_02

No, it's just an L. Um Lexi. Oh, Lexi. So Lexi was a part of uh Dream Academy. Yes. And she was like one of the top girls, and then she in the middle, she had hurt her hip and had to have some like met some procedure done on her hip. So she was out for a little bit, but she was still like going every day, learning the songs, whatever. She just like couldn't dance.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And then she came back and like she was like still on the top. And then she randomly was like one day was like, I'm I actually don't want to be here anymore, and just left. Wow. And then they brought her back to be in St. Sateen with um two other girls that were on Dream Academy. Me that didn't make it into Catholic. That's all right.

SPEAKER_03

Uh-huh.

SPEAKER_02

And so they basically like formed this new group. Like, they were like, We want you're a star. Like, we want you to be in this. So she was in it, and they just added their fourth member. Her name is Sakura. And then a couple months, a month or two later after their debut, then Lexi has decided to leave again. I would be so mad.

SPEAKER_03

What's going on with her?

SPEAKER_02

She just It's too much. I don't think, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

I think Did Manon leave Cat's Eye as well.

SPEAKER_02

I think that they're still calling it she is hiatus. Yeah. I don't I don't know if they've fully been like she is gone.

SPEAKER_03

Okay. Let me like just do these girls, these girl groups. And I love a girl group.

SPEAKER_02

I know. I don't know why they can't get it together. I I understand. I think we're in an age of people really standing up for their mental health.

SPEAKER_03

Mental health new support.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. So if you're really like, I'm not doing well, like I I'm not gonna push myself to be a part of this and be a cliche, you know, artist that goes down drugs and drinking, whatever to cope with that these things. Like I actually just want to remove myself and cope with it. Like I do support that, but as a fan, it does suck. Yeah. Um, the little uh I have so much to say.

SPEAKER_03

If I say it.

SPEAKER_02

Well, do you know about this TikToker that was murdered by her husband after she made the video about him?

SPEAKER_03

Yes. So can I recap it? Please. There was a trend on TikTok, everyone, where people are doing their getting ready for my Netflix documentary. Fitness Marshall did it. And then everyone else followed.

SPEAKER_02

Oh yeah, we started.

SPEAKER_03

Um great trend, hilarious, love it. It is overused at this point, but it was it was one of those where I was like, clever, love this. Anyway, so basically you walk into frame, you sit down like you're adjusting your microphone, and there's a text on screen that says something like preparing for my Netflix documentary about X. What did your guys say?

SPEAKER_02

I posted two. The first one was I don't remember what the first one was. The second one I did was more controversial, and it was like about why Allison wasn't in the group.

SPEAKER_03

I was like, oh T, fun. Yeah. Um okay, so that's the trend. And then this woman posted hers and said, getting ready for my Netflix documentary about how my husband is a PDF. PDF file. PDF file. That's what I'm saying. PDF file.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

And then he murdered her.

SPEAKER_02

A few days later.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And he it was a murder suicide.

SPEAKER_03

Yep.

SPEAKER_02

Basically. Her name is Sarah Gilson.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, Sarah Gilson found out that he had He was a He was a high school coach.

SPEAKER_02

Coach or teacher or something, and he was had been like grooming this like younger girl. Yeah. And I mean, do I think she should have maybe taken care of it privately before she said anything publicly if she really wanted to say like maybe we get a divorce, maybe we get a restraining order. I don't know.

SPEAKER_03

Um well they were she had kicked, he was they were not living together.

SPEAKER_02

Okay.

SPEAKER_03

There was separation.

SPEAKER_02

Okay.

SPEAKER_03

And she was processing and she chose that way to work through it.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Part of working through it, which no vague.

SPEAKER_02

I mean teach their own, but I think it is a a lesson that everyone should take from that. Like if you don't know what if you're learning this whole other side of your partner that you didn't know existed, I think that it's safe to say that maybe there's more sides of them.

SPEAKER_03

Step cautiously.

SPEAKER_02

And I think you should not do that just in case they do happen to be a murderer, also.

SPEAKER_03

And they snap.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. It's sad. It's very sad. And it's it was it's like a weird thing that you don't always think of things being so Oh my god.

SPEAKER_03

The person that came up with this would have never who would have ever thought a simple trend could become like the thing that gets you murdered.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, but we're in such an instant age that also I feel like it happened so fast. It's so fast. That like everyone saw that video, it went viral, and it was like I have saw it like organically. And I honestly didn't think that it was like a real thing. Sometimes people make videos or like comedy videos like that where they I would never do that because that's a crazy thing to put on the internet. If it's but people do that for jokes, like for like views, just I came across this girl who has this whole page where she's like satire, but she said her opening thing was like, I married my brother, and here's why I think it was the best decision ever. And it's like not real, but she just says crazy catchy. Rage baby things, yeah. And I'm like, what an insane thing to say. So it wouldn't have surprised me if it wasn't a real thing. Yeah, yeah. But yeah, it's just like a few days later, you're dead.

BTS Boycotts Grammys Over New Category

SPEAKER_03

It's wild.

SPEAKER_02

So I think everyone should maybe think before they post, just in case a crazy person is out there.

SPEAKER_03

That's great advice. Do what my current favorite trend is. Well, I'm loving the videos where people this is clearly how it's shot. I think they go to their friend or partner and they go, Okay, I'm gonna film this video, be very animated, and tell me what you would do to Hitler if he was here right now. Is what I think that some they might be using. So then I would film you and you'd be like, I would kick him in the face and then I would throw him across. Yeah, and then then that person films the intro. Have you seen this? No. So then I would go to you and be like, I'm here with Allison, and I'm going, I'm about to ask her what she would do if a newborn baby puppy was sitting on the front porch. And then that then that would be your reaction. They always show the person's reaction, like, what? No, and then it cuts to them being like, I would kick them and it's so funny because the people are like, and then when they hear what's happening, they're like, What?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, oh my gosh.

SPEAKER_03

I love that trend. And if you've seen it, I'm sure you giggled too.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Okay, well, do you have an A list of the week?

SPEAKER_03

Sure fucking do. And my list of the week is courtesy of Allison De La Floria herself.

SPEAKER_02

What is it?

SPEAKER_03

Zofran. Guys.

SPEAKER_02

Oh my god, yay.

SPEAKER_03

I went on a boat to Catalina Island. On a boat. A ferry. A ferry, which is arguably the most seasick you're gonna get if you're a seasick girly, is usually on a ferry because it's bigger than a boat where you can like balance yourself. Like going on the lake, I did not get sick um in Big Bear. But like a cruise ship is big enough that like you can kind of work through it.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, you don't, unless it's crazy waves, you don't really feel the waves.

SPEAKER_03

But a ferry, whoa.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, it's very doom.

SPEAKER_03

So Allie gave me Zofran, which I had never taken before, but I'm a car sick girly. I get car sickness. So I took this, the rest of my crew took bonine, which is.

SPEAKER_02

Did you take it before or during?

SPEAKER_03

Before.

SPEAKER_02

Okay.

SPEAKER_03

Because I was scared.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

And the crew I was with all took bonine, which is like a non-drowsy dramamine, essentially.

SPEAKER_02

Over the counter. Because Zofran you need a prescription for.

SPEAKER_03

Yes. And we sat, we had the Commodore level, which you have no It's the way to go. It is, but you cannot see in front of you. There, it is just the sides.

SPEAKER_00

Oh.

SPEAKER_03

The Commodore level is I was like, uh-oh, we're not gonna be able to see what direction we're going unless we look out of a window. I could have done backhand springs, cartwheels, flips, could have laid down, could have been wasted, didn't feel a thing.

SPEAKER_02

I do wish you had felt nausea, sorry, and taken it because then you would see how fast it works too.

SPEAKER_03

Sometime I will try that. Okay. But I didn't want to risk it on the way. For sure, yeah. And the the other three people I was with got sick.

SPEAKER_02

Nice. No, not nice.

SPEAKER_03

Nice, but yes, I was like, wow, that'd be me.

SPEAKER_02

Now you know. Are you gonna call your doctor up?

SPEAKER_03

I have an appointment, a virtual appointment. Oh my god. Next Thursday. No, next Tuesday. And I fully intend to be like, I need this immediately.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, it's the greatest medication ever created. I don't understand.

SPEAKER_03

And I can't be over the counter why. Just do powerful.

SPEAKER_02

I watched a doctor talk about it once. If you have too much of it, it can be really bad for you.

SPEAKER_03

In what way? Do you know?

SPEAKER_02

I don't know.

SPEAKER_03

Because the milligrams are so you're the one you gave me is eight.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. They give it to you in larger doses when you are under anesthesia and stuff like that.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, right. It's to help with that, like to combat those symptoms, right?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. So I don't know. They just were like, if we if people like abuse this, it would be really bad. Okay. But it's not addictive. So I'm not sure. Yeah, I wasn't like finding another one.

SPEAKER_03

It was truly just like I couldn't believe it. And then your day is not real.

SPEAKER_02

It's not constantly normal. Yeah. So I don't really know, but I do know in large doses it's bad. It's like bad for you in a bad way.

SPEAKER_03

I'm gonna get a prescription.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Because wow.

SPEAKER_02

I'm so happy for you. Yeah, and thank you so much. I love giving people a zofarin for the first time.

SPEAKER_03

That's my list of the week. Consult your doctor.

SPEAKER_02

Consult your doctor.

SPEAKER_03

You should have done that, but I, you know, Alison is kind of my doctor. Anyway, I love Zofran. Sorry, don't put that on her.

SPEAKER_02

No, yeah. I just like I'm so like medically bad.

SPEAKER_03

Serious. You take it seriously.

SPEAKER_02

I do take it seriously, but I am anxious. Oh yeah, medical anxiety.

SPEAKER_03

Allison does not just hand out pills willy-nilly. I want to be clear. She knows me, I know her, and I needed to prevent ruining my. What about you?

SPEAKER_02

Here's the thing is I don't really have an A-list, but I do have something that I've decided is a D list.

SPEAKER_03

I love this. Okay. Give it to me. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

I watched the J-Lo movie Office Romance.

SPEAKER_03

It's on my list. Should I take it off?

SPEAKER_02

I didn't even finish it.

SPEAKER_03

Whoa, okay.

SPEAKER_02

Positive is that it does feel like an old school J-Lo rom-com. Like the way she is acting feels like and so at the beginning I was like, I'm into it. But then it got super like it's just it moves really fast.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_02

Like she's a CEO of this airline company, and all I know is he's Roy from Ted Lasso. I don't know his real name.

SPEAKER_03

I don't either.

SPEAKER_02

But he's that. He's that. He's a lawyer.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_02

And they start working together like out of necessity from something that happens. And then he sees her and he's in love instantly.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, love at first flight.

SPEAKER_02

Love at literal first flight in light. In look. Because she turns around and he's like, Love at first look is not the same.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_02

It's not.

SPEAKER_03

Love at first sight.

unknown

Sight.

SPEAKER_02

And he's in love with her the first moment he sees her. And then he they like shake hands in that same scene, and he gets a boner.

SPEAKER_03

I'm sorry.

SPEAKER_02

What? Yeah, that happened. And I was like, huh? He got a and then she like they both like it shows them both at home later that night, and he's like in bed, like freaking out, like, oh my god, I can't believe that happened. And she's like smiling, like she thought that was like so endearing. In what world would a woman ever think that? She'd be like a restraining order immediately.

TikTok Trend Turns Into Tragedy

SPEAKER_03

That's insane, Allison. No.

SPEAKER_02

No, it's so weird. And then they like go on a work trip and they have they like have from that moment they flirt like every day, but they're like trying to keep it under wraps because they work together. She's a CEO, blah blah blah. And then they go on this work trip and they get it on. And then I mean that was expected, right? Sure, of course. Then they start like continuing their relationship, but in secret. And then she goes to he invites her, or she invites him over to her place.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_02

He's British, remember?

SPEAKER_03

Yes.

SPEAKER_02

And he's like, Oh, can I use the restroom? And she's like, Yeah, down the hall. Down the hall to the right. And then he starts walking, and then she's like, Oh my god, no, the left, the left. I'm sorry. And then he walks into the room on the right. It is a shrine of England.

unknown

Wait.

SPEAKER_02

And she, and I'm not kidding.

SPEAKER_03

You didn't know about this shrine until this moment.

SPEAKER_02

No. We did not.

SPEAKER_03

This doesn't sound like a real movie. It sounds like something you had in a dream.

SPEAKER_02

I know. That's what I'm saying. It's so weird. And he's like freaking out because he's like, What? Who are you? And she's like starting, she like lies about it. She's like, Oh my god, my I loved I loved England as a kid. And then like it became a joke. All my friends, like, they just started buying me things about London. And then like it never ended. So I didn't have anywhere to put all this stuff. And so like I just made like this room, like it's funny, ha ha. And he was like, I don't believe you. You have a British kink. And she's like, Yeah, I do.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_02

What? And then they get it on while he's wearing um a one of the British soldier outfits. Like the stand in front of Buckingham Palace.

SPEAKER_03

Is that when you stopped watching?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

So you don't know how it concludes.

SPEAKER_01

I don't.

SPEAKER_03

That is this move. I cannot believe that this is a movie. Who there's no Did she read the script or did she do it? Maybe she owes the director a favor.

SPEAKER_02

I don't know. It's the weirdest set of events ever. It's so weird. I probably will finish it. I just kind of wanted to do that. I need to know.

SPEAKER_03

So I'm not gonna watch this one. So you can you finish it, please? Yeah, I will. I'd love to know. Um, I do want to I do want to jump back though. You mentioned boner. Did you are you seeing the comments on our video about how that song by Dream Street is about a boner?

SPEAKER_02

No.

SPEAKER_03

So many comments are like, you guys, people you all know that this is about popping a boner as a little boy.

SPEAKER_02

No, had no idea. I know liquid dreams, like we know what liquid dreams is.

SPEAKER_03

It happens every time when I see you. It happens every time when I think of you. It happens every time. Oh, it's magic when we meet down on Dream Street.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, but I think you could do that about lots of songs.

SPEAKER_03

I like Haley Steinfeld's.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

I Love Me is totally about female masturbation.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, and the Demi Lovato song.

SPEAKER_03

All of them? They all, I feel like, are about touching your soul.

SPEAKER_02

Solo.

SPEAKER_03

Totally.

SPEAKER_02

I do it's solo. Yep. You guys have a big thing, probably huh? We do. That's how I know it. Because you know I probably wouldn't know it otherwise.

SPEAKER_03

Absolutely not.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, well, you guys, what are your thoughts? Do you think it's about a boner?

SPEAKER_03

SPEAKER_02
