We bounce from wedding weekend chaos to pop culture news that gets surprisingly heavy, then land the plane with theme park grief and the TV and snacks we can’t stop thinking about. Along the way, we trade stories about dive bars, travel mishaps, prison privilege, and why “normal” systems keep failing in very public ways.

SPEAKER_02Welcome back to the A-list podcast. In this episode, we got into a lot of wedding talk. Alex and I both have weddings. We talked about our video, our millennial music video, To Lucky. It just came out.
SPEAKER_04We talked about prison and asked the question: Is prison better than real life?
SPEAKER_06That's a thinker. And then we jump into some pop culture throwbacks, get into our A-list of the weeks, and then we get into some funny wedding stories.
SPEAKER_04Rest in peace to our favorite roller coaster.
SPEAKER_06Oh, and rest in peace to X2, we spend a little time mourning the loss of a beloved roller coaster to me and Angela, not Allison.
SPEAKER_04Let's go.
SPEAKER_02I'm Allison. I'm Alex. And I'm Angela.
SPEAKER_06Allison hates this intro.
SPEAKER_02I just liked it before, but I understand three people's a lot.
SPEAKER_06Maybe it's because I edited it, so I was seeing it a lot, but it was a lot like, welcome back to the it was just a little bit.
SPEAKER_02Well, it was the first time of all three of us.
SPEAKER_06You want to try it really fast? It was too long.
SPEAKER_02Oh yeah, that we didn't need it.
unknownWe didn't need it.
SPEAKER_06Okay, coming in here with executive decisions.
SPEAKER_04Well we didn't know. She, she one episode, she's vetoing everything.
unknownHi, listen.
SPEAKER_06Oh, we didn't need it.
SPEAKER_04You brought it up.
SPEAKER_06You're right, you're right, you're right, you're right. Okay.
SPEAKER_04I'm just gonna go.
SPEAKER_06She's the wheel on the wagon wheel.
SPEAKER_04Wagon wheel wants to see. It means I'm in on it. I'm in.
SPEAKER_06You're in, girl. Um, okay.
SPEAKER_04Because I made it up.
SPEAKER_02You said it so confidently.
SPEAKER_04I know that's how people invent sayings. That's true.
SPEAKER_06Listen, I tried the world. I tried to make camp work.
SPEAKER_03You did. You tried to work. I tried really hard.
SPEAKER_06And I maybe I should try again. Camp.
SPEAKER_03What does that mean?
SPEAKER_06Cancel all my plans. Allison, let's play it out for her, okay? Invite me to something.
SPEAKER_01Hey Alex, you wanna come over here?
SPEAKER_06Oh, hold on. Let it play.
SPEAKER_01Hey Alex.
SPEAKER_06Hey, what's up?
SPEAKER_01Oh, I just wondered if you wanted to come over uh on Friday.
SPEAKER_06Well, what's happening?
SPEAKER_01Well, I thought we could have a sleepover and oh my god, camp.
SPEAKER_06I'll be there. Can we please make camp happen?
SPEAKER_01No, we've tried.
SPEAKER_06All I have to say is camp. Let's get on with the show.
SPEAKER_04Woo! Wait, is that going in?
SPEAKER_06Yes.
SPEAKER_04I didn't know we were going yet.
SPEAKER_06We did the intro.
SPEAKER_04Then we were discussing if that was the intro.
SPEAKER_06That's just called banter.
SPEAKER_04Oh, okay.
Set Glow Up And Wedding Weekend
SPEAKER_06Allison, you just went to a wedding.
SPEAKER_04I did. Wait, hold on, guys. Right before you get into that, we gotta talk about our glow-up. Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_02We tried something new.
SPEAKER_04Episode two, glow up.
SPEAKER_06What are we talking about?
SPEAKER_02The lighting.
SPEAKER_04The background.
SPEAKER_02We changed the camera.
SPEAKER_04We're just gonna pretend we don't have a completely new set.
SPEAKER_06Listen, we were like, we did something last week to get it. We needed it to get done. And then I was like, hold on, I think we can plus this. And we put our heads together and we came up with color.
SPEAKER_04Revolutionary. Okay, Allison. Get into it. Just how to address that also.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, anyway. So I hope you guys like our set. And as Allison would say, let us know.
SPEAKER_02I would say that. The wedding was gorgeous. It was perfect weather. Very pretty. We did uh I got in on Wednesday, like later, so that was a wash. Thursday, we did like I went with Reagan to get her nails done. I did, in fact, change my toenail color. You did?
SPEAKER_06Thank God. Why didn't you text us right away?
SPEAKER_02Show it. Not on camera, not for free. What color is it? The exact color of my dress. Oh my gosh, perfect. So that looked better. And then we got spray tans that evening. And then we went to dinner and we did. I don't know if I told you this, probably not, but at the Bachelorette party, we did like a little like, you know, those color like a color me mine type place where you like Oh, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_06You did tell this on the pod.
SPEAKER_02Okay, so we did the reveal at dinner after we got our spray.
SPEAKER_06I forgot that was happening, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, so we had like drawn names um for everyone in the bridal party, and then whatever we made at Color Me Mine, that was like we were gonna give it to that person. Give someone else, but it was a we didn't know. Secret Santa sorts. Oh, I love. Yeah, so at the we went to dinner after we got our spray tans, and then we did the reveal, and so that was very cute. What did you make? I made a little seashell like bowl thing that you can put like rings in, like a catch on. Yeah, I had ragged. You had the bride. She was quite excited because that's very her. Anyway, so yeah, we did that. And then Friday was the rehearsal dinner. We had some delicious Pizza King pizza. Oh wow. Never had it.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, and you're missing out.
SPEAKER_02Is it good? I'm thinking about or they ship it.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, they will ship it.
SPEAKER_02This is a hundred dollar shipping. Yeah, it's crazy. Yeah, because they overnight it and cold.
SPEAKER_06What?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I'm thinking about ordering some though, so we'll talk later. Oh, it's so good. And then on Sunday, I gave Josh a little tour of Marion and Deanna. What do you think? I mean, there's not much to see. Yeah. It's a little town. I do mean, I do need to
Tipsy’s Dive Bar Turns Bizarre
SPEAKER_02say. So on Friday, no, after the wedding on Saturday, it was like it was early. Reagan's an early evening kind of gal. Okay. So we didn't go deep into the night. Love her, love her so much. If you're listening, love you so much. But the wedding was done, like, I think they left at like nine o'clock. And then I think Josh and I probably left at like 9:30. We were chatting a little bit more, and then we were sitting by the fire, whatever. And he was like, Let's go do something. Like the night is young. And Marion is not a place of like very exciting bars and clubs, if you will. Every bar is like a dive bar. And we went to go to one that I know I've heard people say before. Cause like since I've lived there, I don't know. I don't know where the places are. There was one called Rebels when I was in like high college.
SPEAKER_06What are you saying?
SPEAKER_02Rebels? Rebels. Rebel. Like Rebels. It was kind of like a motorcycle bar, but they also played like hip hop music. I don't know. It was an interesting place, but that's like kind of where people went. There was a place that people went like the night before Thanksgiving that is apparently not a thing anymore. Oh. So I was like, I don't really know the spots. But um I looked up one that I have heard people say before, and we walked in. There was three people there and Josh had forgotten his ID ID. Well, his like passport because we were at the wet wedding and oh yeah, like we didn't need it. So they were like, no, if you don't have an ID, get out of here. And so I feel like they probably had like a violation of some kind that they were being like so strict about it. Yeah. Um so we actually those places would be like relaxed. Yeah, and we we know we're you can tell we're over 21. Okay. Yeah. Um, so we went back to the hotel, which was four and a half minutes away, and everything is five minutes away there also. So we went back and got it, and I was like, let's go somewhere else. Cause like it wasn't the vibe. There was like no music playing, everyone stared at us. It was like it wasn't the vibe. There was another place that you know was a place to go, and I looked online and it had a new name, and so I was like, Well, this place used to be called Folky's also a dive bar, very much like brown in there, like all wooden, all wooden, like uh maybe like a pool table and just kind of like whatever, very dive bar. Yeah, I was like, it has a new name though, it's called Tipsy's, okay, and I was like, but uh like this was a spot, so let's go check this out. Let's see if it's a little bit more lively. It's a Saturday night at like 10 o'clock, maybe it is now. So I don't we thought like there's gonna be people out.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_02So we go and we go into Tipsy's and we walk in, and I mean there was there was a lot going on. Oh no, it was a very different vibe than it used to be.
SPEAKER_01Really?
SPEAKER_02Yes. And we walk up to the bar and I'm like, can I please have a gin and tonic?
SPEAKER_06Uh-oh.
SPEAKER_02That's a fairly easy drink to make.
SPEAKER_06It's two ingredients.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. I get three, I get a lime.
SPEAKER_06Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02So they're like, What? We uh sure, you can have gin. And I was like, okay, and I saw they had impress gin, and I was like, that's safe. I like impression, I'll have the impress gin. They go, we don't have tonic. I can give you a sprite. We don't have tonic? What bar doesn't have tonic?
SPEAKER_06Okay, all right. Not even in a can, all right.
SPEAKER_02Not even a can. They said you can have sprite with that. And I said, Okay, can I have a lime? She said, We don't have limes, you can have a lemon. I said, Perfect. Don't take it. Oh, this is horrible.
SPEAKER_06Sounds delicious.
SPEAKER_02Perfect.
unknownI'll have that.
SPEAKER_02Um that was given to me in a red solo cup. Oh man. And then Josh ordered a whiskey, and I don't know, that was given to him in a little cup that was like a cup that you use for mouthwash, like that vibe. No, the blue one? Well, it was it was like white, but the same like style and size. That was what his whiskey was given to him.
SPEAKER_06No, no, no, no.
SPEAKER_02So then we go to pay and they're like, oh, it's cash only tonight. And I was like, Okay, do you have an ATM? And they were like, No, you can walk across the street to the gas station where there's an ATM.
SPEAKER_06It's cash only tonight?
SPEAKER_02It's cash only tonight. We go, okay, no problem. It's it'll take us 10 steps to get across the street. Sure thing. We'll be right back.
SPEAKER_06Totally.
SPEAKER_02We go to leave, we're locked in. What do you mean? The bar is locked. Is locked. Now it's starting to feel like a from the inside. So you can't leave it. Riddle me? That's I just and I just told you guys about the uh video I watched where there was a fire in the bar and no one could get out. I said, we're gonna die.
unknownOh my god.
SPEAKER_02Why do they lock it? It took well, I'll get there in a second. It took the man way too long to find the key, also too.
SPEAKER_06Oh god, oh my god.
SPEAKER_02I was like, this is actually like very unsafe. Unsafe and scary. So he unlocks it and we walk across the street, we get our cash, we come back. Because we were like, we've committed to the bit now. Like we're here, we're gonna have our drink, we're here. Even though the red flag should have been, hey, they locked you in. Yeah, there's probably like 20 people in there. So it's like there's it's a small place, there's like a lot going on. We've got some good music. So we're like, all right, like cool. We found out, or we realized that the reason it was cash only is because there was dancers walking around. They weren't tripping, but they were dancing. And interesting. So Josh was probably like, okay, I assume like maybe they don't like you're not supposed to do that here, or maybe you have to have a specific type of like license to be because he said there's some cities or like states where in order to have like strippers, like you you can't serve food. Or you have to serve food if there are are strippers, and if it's like a dancer that if they're just if they're not taking their clothes off, then yeah, different. So like it could have been something like that.
SPEAKER_00For sure.
SPEAKER_02But clearly they wanted it to be cash only so that you had cash to pay the girls, which like do your thing, girls.
SPEAKER_06Like it was not your bag, yeah, sisters.
SPEAKER_02They had turned the back room, sisters, they had turned the back room in which there used to be like darts that you play and like whatever into a champagne room. Oh champagne room, but they serve stuff with solo cups. Yeah, well, the she the champagne room is like the private dance room, right?
SPEAKER_06Oh yeah, it's just the classy name for a non-classy thing.
SPEAKER_02So it was just like so interesting, like me knowing what this place like used to be. It used to be just your average dive bar, you know, whatever, to now like and what was it called originally? Folkies.
SPEAKER_06Folkies to tipsies.
SPEAKER_02Folkies to tipsies. Interesting.
SPEAKER_06So yeah, don't forget to tipsies your dancer.
SPEAKER_02When we came back, they did not lock the door behind us. But he was like, I feel like maybe they locked the door because other dancers that they probably can't have. I don't know. Yeah. So anyway, that was very interesting.
SPEAKER_06What a we if that is true, what a weird thing to like try to hide under the table.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I know. It's like a very good idea. I asked someone too, like I messaged someone that I used to work with there, and I was like, what do you know about tipsies? They didn't even know that it wasn't the other bar, so it must have been recently that this changed. That was because you went on opening. I also was like, I can't believe I don't recognize a single person here. Like that's also true. How fun would it have been to be like, hey, girl about the tips? Um, but yeah, and then the last thing I'll uh I have to note is that I almost killed someone on the airplane
The Uncrustable Peanut Allergy Scare
SPEAKER_02going home.
SPEAKER_06What? Like you dropped your bag on their head, or like they were bothering you and you were gonna murder them.
SPEAKER_02Neither. Um, they were severely allergic to peanut butter, and I didn't know that. I whipped out my uncrustable.
SPEAKER_06They didn't say it over the loudspeaker.
SPEAKER_02Well, I caused them to say it. So we You're kidding. Yeah, this has never happened to me before. Well, sure. We had eaten like kind of a big like brunch um earlier in the day, and our flight was at seven, our initial flight. We had to switch planes in Tulsa. No, Minnesota.
SPEAKER_06Yep.
SPEAKER_02And I like wasn't really hungry, but then when we were changing planes, it was like, well, I'm probably gonna be hungry sometime during this flight. So I was like, I'm gonna grab something to take on the plane just like for when I get hungry, so I'm not then in the air for three hours and dying.
SPEAKER_06And you chose an uncrustable?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, because I also was like, I don't want something super heavy. I didn't want like something that's been sitting there all day. Now it's like eight, eight p.m. And like a turkey sandwich has probably been sitting there all day, and that just sounded pretty gross to me. And I feel like an uncrustable is pretty safe in that scenario. We got some like crackers and stuff, but I got this uncrustable, and like we get on the plane, I we take off, and then I open up the uncrustable, sure, and I'm happily eating it, it tastes delicious. I'm like, wow, I haven't had a peanut butter jelly in so long.
SPEAKER_06Meanwhile, someone is someone's entire life is flashing.
SPEAKER_04Well, now you know there's peanuts in it for real, because you know true.
SPEAKER_02But I imagine they smelled it. Like no one was around me really close that I noticed being like oh my god, and then they come and I like finished it, and then they came over, the speaker, and they were like, just to let you know, there's someone on here with a severe peanut allergy. So could you please or so please refrain from eating anything with peanuts for the rest of the flight? So you had to stop it. For like insane allergies, probably, but I also feel like when you walk on to the flight, you should be like, hey, just to let you know I have a severe peanut allergy, can you make an announcement? So they do it like as soon as everyone's on the plane. Right.
SPEAKER_06I've been on a few Southwest planes where they've announced it at the beginning. We have a passenger on board who's allergic to peanuts, so we will be serving pretzels instead. Like they will preemptively handle that.
SPEAKER_02Most airlines just don't do peanuts at all anymore, but still, I feel like I waited until we were legitimately like in the air to open it. So there was plenty of time to tell me that. I would have been really sad if that had happened. I might have had to go to the bathroom and eat it because I would by that time I was actually really hungry. Yeah. But yeah, I guess I almost killed someone. I was like, this is totally me. Right. I was like looking around, like I'm the one that just did this. So yeah, wow, so it can be airborne like that, definitely.
SPEAKER_04Wow.
SPEAKER_02And I just assume you have a nose for it if you're sure peanuts.
SPEAKER_06Feel a tickle in the back of your throat. Okay, that's scary.
SPEAKER_01Well, they survived. They did, hopefully. Yeah, no one told me otherwise.
SPEAKER_02No, they would have died on the flight. Yeah, I imagine I have that on my conscience. Insane.
SPEAKER_06All right, let's move past that.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. How was your guys' weekend? Who wants to go
Santa Barbara Heat And Train Standoff
SPEAKER_02first?
SPEAKER_06Well, we spent Saturday together.
SPEAKER_02Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_06We went to Santa Barbara. We took the train for I had never taken the monorail, neither had she.
SPEAKER_01The surf liner? Yes. The surf liner.
SPEAKER_06And then we spent a very hot and sticky day in Santa Barbara. Oh, it was so hot.
SPEAKER_04It was just as hot in LA. I think it was bad. It was a hundred. Even with the water up there?
SPEAKER_06No, it was it was so ridiculously hot. And the boat, we went on a boat excursion for an hour, and it was tolerable as long as the boat was moving, but the majority of the ride was like slow, so we could see dolphins and sea lions.
SPEAKER_04So there wasn't like much wind.
SPEAKER_06The drink, ice in our drinks.
SPEAKER_04I was just gonna say, Alex looks at me and he goes, There's no ice in your drink anymore. And I was like, There's none in yours. Both of us got our ice was good.
SPEAKER_06Like less than 10 minutes. It was so bad.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, we had just gotten it, and then like 20 minutes in, I just was like, but it was very pretty there.
SPEAKER_06Angela loves Santa Barbara, and I said I guess I really only saw a teeny bit of it.
SPEAKER_02Is that your first time? Oh my gosh. Driving in, you'll see a little more for yeah, it's one of my favorite places.
SPEAKER_06We had a very annoying train ride home because we did. I'm gonna summarize it because it stalled us for 50 minutes. It made us 50 minutes later. Oh my gosh. Because there was on our first of all, there was a rowdy group of people on our side. Very rowdy room. We tried to avoid them. We were like, let's get in a line for a different train.
SPEAKER_04But I'm pretty sure it was a few different ones, too. A few more. Had you not been drinking?
SPEAKER_06No, it was so hot we were all exhausted.
SPEAKER_04I we all wanted to like take naps. And these people were just. Oh my god.
SPEAKER_06Well, they ended so a huge group celebrating a 30th birthday got on the train, and they were like just loud. They weren't breaking anything or destroying anything, they were just loud. One of them had a boom box, and then they all started s just singing. Singing. Just singing.
SPEAKER_02Were they good? No, it was like we're gonna pay. Yeah, I didn't even know so much.
SPEAKER_06It was just it was annoying and loud. Then a man, a man, a seemingly normal man, walks through the train and he's wearing a strawberry.
SPEAKER_04I think he works for the the train.
SPEAKER_06No, he does. I'm setting it up.
SPEAKER_04Oh, okay. Okay.
SPEAKER_06To all of us, we're just like, this is a normal person walking through. He's we cannot hear at the time what he's saying to this group of people, but they're obviously like being like this at him, like being like, okay.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, get out of our face.
SPEAKER_06It gets back to my row. I was by myself.
SPEAKER_04Okay. Well, good for you. No, it's fine.
SPEAKER_06Let the girls all sit with a girl. Um, we find out that he had said something like, You gotta calm down, or I'm gonna stop this train. And they're like, Oh, you work for the train or something? Like they were mocking him. And then he was like, I'm the conductor. He stops the train.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_06So the train is stopped. Now he's back there arguing with them again. Then the little conductor children that like just check the tickets. I don't know why to me they all look like they were 12 years old. Yeah, hello. Totally. And they're like, No, no, that he drives us, he drives the train. She was like very animated.
SPEAKER_02He drives the train. No, no, he drives the train. Yeah. Who's driving the train right now? By the way.
SPEAKER_06It was stopped.
SPEAKER_02Oh, but he walked back there. He stopped it, walked back.
SPEAKER_06Correct. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02That's like a pilot getting an autopilot and coming back. Totally. They do while it's in the air.
SPEAKER_06One of the co-pilots is there. I'm sure his assistant conductor was still in the cab. Anyway, then a fight. Angela's citizen app goes off. There's a fight happening on the on the outside of the train now. We see police cars come in, they're handling that. Then the police officers get on the train. They're down there. We can see the police officers, the conductor, the little conductor assistants, and the people are having a conversation. And then as they're walking back, is it you that said it?
SPEAKER_04What I said.
SPEAKER_06You were like, are they gonna start the train or was it Karina?
SPEAKER_04It was Karina.
SPEAKER_06And then the police officer goes, Yep.
SPEAKER_04And so we started the train. But you know, it took us from start to finish, like almost it was like three and three and a half hours.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, it added a near nearly an hour to our trip.
SPEAKER_02Oh my gosh. And then we had it was just like I just can't imagine if we were if we were being rowdy, I feel like we all would just be like, Oh my god, I'm so sorry. No, but they were purposely being rowdy.
SPEAKER_06Like they knew it, they knew everyone was like, They were trying to get everyone into their like vibe.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, yeah. They just didn't really care. Yeah, and it was very we wouldn't do that because I I don't want to be loud on a train. Right.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. What if we had been celebrating and like we got a little too like laughy?
SPEAKER_04I feel like we would just be like, Oh, it wasn't just laughing, but yeah, they were like in the aisles, like running back and forth and stuff. Well, I'm so sorry.
SPEAKER_06No, it's other other than that, lovely food, fun time. And I just literally didn't leave bed all day Sunday. It was like the sun was so exhausting.
SPEAKER_04I know it was. Yeah, the next day was tough.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, for sure. Before I got off the plane, I had already booked my massage for Monday night. Smart. It was great.
SPEAKER_06Smart. Yeah. And then uh that was it. And I've had two, like three, two long shoot days. Samuel L. Jackson, though. He's very cool.
SPEAKER_04I saw that. That's pretty cool. That's cool.
SPEAKER_06That's very cool, guys.
SPEAKER_04Was it were you guys at a premiere?
SPEAKER_06No, they were doing their press junket at BuzzFeed.
SPEAKER_04Oh, that was at BuzzFeed.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, that was there. So we were just like operating the shoot.
SPEAKER_04Press junket for what that's so cool.
SPEAKER_06He plays the president in a new movie called The Beast, and it's about like the getaway car.
SPEAKER_01Oh, that's cool.
SPEAKER_06It looks very, and then like his co-star is another famous guy. He was cool too, Joel something. If you saw him, you'd know. He's in like a lot of stuff, a lot of action
Men’s Wearhouse Tux Rental Meltdown
SPEAKER_06film. I have one thing I need to get off my chest. Get it men's warehouse. What the fuck? So I have just rent I've rented a suit for a black tie wedding. You know this. I'm not gonna go into the story. Yeah, I go last night, boyfriend and I go to pick up our identical tuxedos, but in our individual sizes, Vera Wang, $300 rental.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's insane.
SPEAKER_06I try it on. I'm like, wow, I am absolutely swimming in these pants. What the fuck? She's like, let me look at your chart. She looks and Chad's perfect. But I have said it and I will say it again. I don't have a body for suits. I just don't. So even getting it custom, I was like shocked. At how good the like sizing was when I went for the fitting.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_06I'm like, what the hell? What gives? She checks my chart. She's like, well, it is the sizes. Would you like to try the next size down? I was like, well, yeah, because right now I look ridiculous. So she brings out they have like samples that they just keep sizes of to do the measurements, right? So she brings them out the next size down. I try it on. I was like, well, yeah, this fits way better. So like, can I get this size? She's like, Yes, let me go back. It depends. Like, if we have one in stock, then yes.
SPEAKER_04You just tried one on. That's insane.
SPEAKER_06I tried on the sample.
SPEAKER_04Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_06So she gives me the Vera Wang pant. I try it on. It is awful. It is so tight, I can barely move. And the belt that's built into the sides, like, I have to have it expanded all the way that I can't even close that. And I was like, how do I? So she helps me figure it out. They're they're so tight.
SPEAKER_02She's like, Well, I was like, So the difference between the size that you had that was too big and then that was that much smaller?
SPEAKER_06Yes. I said, why did I try on a sample pant that is so vastly different from the fit of the actual designer?
SPEAKER_04Yeah. No.
SPEAKER_06I was like, okay, well, what are my options? She's like, the ones that you just tried on, or we can do these and we can just let them out a little bit so they're a little longer. And I was like, so I just have to choose which one I hate less.
SPEAKER_02Wait, you couldn't just get a different brand like tuxedo pants?
SPEAKER_06No, because they don't keep these in stock at their stores. Because you can buy from men's warehouse their brand, but you rent designer. Yeah. So they ship them all over the country.
SPEAKER_02So you can't rent a men's warehouse brand.
SPEAKER_06Correct. You can buy it. They have them there.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_06Anyway, so I was like, well, I'm not, this is what it is, so I guess I will do that. So I had to go back today to pick this up. So I try on the pants that have now been extended. I walk out. And it's a different guy, a guy that wasn't there last night. And I give him the spiel. I was like, so can you explain to me why you would even go through a fitting process or not give people a heads up that, oh, by the way, every designer's style is different. So even though you're a 32 waist, you might be a 34.
SPEAKER_03Right. Yeah.
SPEAKER_06And then not have me try on one of those. He goes, it's a good question.
SPEAKER_04How long have they been in business?
SPEAKER_06Men's warehouse has been around since like the 1400s.
SPEAKER_04Right.
SPEAKER_06So this is a message to men's warehouse. What bad system? Figure it out. And I look terrible for this wedding that I'm going to. And it's a gay wedding.
SPEAKER_02I can't imagine you look terrible. Terrible. What's the fit now?
SPEAKER_06I chose to keep the tight ones. Because it I am telling you, a fitted jacket, vest, and long sleeve shirt with pants that were like, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Also, yeah, how is it that much of a difference? I was like between one sides.
SPEAKER_06And she was like, yeah.
SPEAKER_02They couldn't overnight take in the big Allison.
SPEAKER_06It was like it was like that. It was like flowy big.
SPEAKER_02Wow.
SPEAKER_06To then tight.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's insane.
SPEAKER_06I mean, even to have I was like last night, I was like, does this work? He was even like, I don't think so.
SPEAKER_04That's insane.
SPEAKER_06Anyway, so I just had to get that off my chest.
SPEAKER_04I you should provide photos. Yeah. From the wedding.
SPEAKER_02Why is like wedding fits so hard? My dress, you guys did end up being perfect.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, you did look very pretty.
SPEAKER_02But it shouldn't have taken all that.
SPEAKER_06Sure, sure. It shouldn't be all that. No, you're right.
SPEAKER_02I know, yeah, that's a lot.
SPEAKER_06Let's move on.
Our Lucky Video Behind The Rewind
SPEAKER_06Interesting.
SPEAKER_02Okay, well, are we ready for our next segment? Behind the rewind.
unknownBehind the rewind.
SPEAKER_02Let's do it. And we just recorded, so we have something to talk about.
SPEAKER_06Well, okay, so we kind of lied to you guys last week.
SPEAKER_02Well, it was our intention, not it wasn't an intention to do it.
SPEAKER_06It was our intention to lie. No, it was our intention not to. We were intending to do Lucky, as we said. And when we finished recording, we were all like, what the hell were we thinking? This was exhausting. We just we just did our first episode together. Like it was a lot. So we did it tonight. And I was like, we gotta do it before the pod so that we're for sure it's done. So by the time you're watching this, Lucky has come out. What did you guys think?
SPEAKER_04Comment below. I think people love slow motion. Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, and we I love slow motion.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, it always looks so nice.
SPEAKER_06Motion families. Slow motion. Motion phame. Such a pop.
SPEAKER_02So Angela again forgot the order that we go in. Always.
SPEAKER_06It's kind of like it is funny. I will never understand. It's funny to react, but it is like kind of tradition.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I don't know. I'm just like aloof when we're recording.
SPEAKER_06So I'm not like well, know what I like.
SPEAKER_04Exactly.
SPEAKER_06Then when you're in it again, it's like all brand new information.
SPEAKER_04It's like I'm like, why are you? What are we doing?
SPEAKER_06We heard them all. What's the order? That's really long.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Today's is especially long. Come on.
SPEAKER_06So long.
SPEAKER_04It was. It was 60 seconds. Usually they're like 30.
SPEAKER_02Is that true?
SPEAKER_06They're usually around 35 to 45.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. But I I'll be honest, I don't really know either way.
SPEAKER_06Here's the thing, though.
SPEAKER_02I mean, a minute is a little bit more than a little bit more. What did we determine last week?
SPEAKER_06What did we determine last week? People love a conclusion.
SPEAKER_04But back in the day, songs were longer than they are today. That's true. So are we going to make all of them now a little longer? No, no, no.
SPEAKER_02I think it just makes sense with, yeah, it's a little bit more than a little bit.
SPEAKER_04It depends.
SPEAKER_06It's song dependent, I think. Because like Bewitched was short, and I was like, because there's no real good way to stop. No, totally.
SPEAKER_04No, I'm not complaining. I don't know.
SPEAKER_06I like the cut we're doing for the oh, should we give them a heads up for the next one? Like, why not?
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_06We're gonna be doing uh well, a Halloween song that we're not gonna touch. And it's not that. Um, but I have something interesting to talk about that today. Uh it's well to be determined. But then we're also doing finally we're doing O-town.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, they've been begging.
SPEAKER_06They have been begging. So we're gonna be doing a little bit of a lot of things.
SPEAKER_02People have been begging. They have. Anyway. They've been asking us for it.
SPEAKER_06Hell yeah.
SPEAKER_02So yeah, look forward to that. Yeah. That was a very short segment. That's fine. That's okay. That's okay.
Botched Execution And What Happens Next
SPEAKER_02We're gonna talk about uh celebrity uh pop culture news in the download. What do you got?
SPEAKER_06Let me tell you. First of all, we haven't talked about this on the pod yet, but I feel like it bodes talking about for a moment and giving input on.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_06The woman in Tennessee who was sentenced to death and then survived.
SPEAKER_02That's on my list.
SPEAKER_06Okay, Krista Pike. Do you know anything about this?
SPEAKER_02No.
SPEAKER_06Oh my god, I was hoping one of his. So I have been following this for a while. So Krista Pike, just some background for everyone listening and you, Angela. Yeah. Um so back when Krista Pike in 1996. No, she was sentenced to 96. So 94. In 1994, Krista Pike um was suspicious that the a woman named I don't want to say her. Okay, uh was suspicious that a woman named Colleen was trying to take her boyfriend away from her. So Krista Pike and her boyfriend were into like a cult and devil worship, and they were all in the same going to the same college. So they were living in like housing. And so uh Krista Pike and her boyfriend had conspired to murder Colleen. So they lured her to the woods under the false pretense of like making amends and smoking some weed, and they beat her to death essentially.
SPEAKER_02And they like etched a satanic thing in her.
SPEAKER_06Pentagram into her chest. Dang. Bad. Krista is arrested, her boyfriend as well. I don't know what his sentence is, it wasn't the death sentence, but hers was. So uh she was arrested in 94, sentenced in 96, she was 19, uh, she was 20 years old, and um, sentenced to death. Okay. That death was supposed to take place and um under lethal injection two weeks ago.
SPEAKER_02On the 30th. September 30th.
SPEAKER_06September 30th. So oh, a week ago. Yeah. Wow.
SPEAKER_02So yeah, I can't. Why was she uh like on death row for so long?
SPEAKER_06Yeah, it takes a long time. Like there's a lot of things. Again, we talk about this a lot of times. I don't get it. So it's like if you're sentenced, yeah, I don't understand. Um, so anyway, they give her a full lethal dose.
SPEAKER_04Okay.
SPEAKER_06She doesn't die.
SPEAKER_04Oh my god.
SPEAKER_06She is going in and out of consciousness by way of like she'll fall asleep and snore.
SPEAKER_02I think they got her muscle more like instead of her vein or something like that.
SPEAKER_06She would woke up at one point and was like, uh, what is it? My arm feels weird. I feel like my arm is gonna explode.
SPEAKER_05What?
SPEAKER_06And then falls back asleep and is snoring again, wakes back up, complaining, moaning, her arm hurts. So they give her another full lethal dose. And they have trouble finding a vein, and she's going, she's trying to actively help them to like end her suffering.
SPEAKER_05Oh my.
SPEAKER_06They get another full dose inside of her. Okay. The moaning, snoring, waking up, complaining of our arm pain continues.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_06And then they finally call it because she survives. They rush her to the hospital. At the time, there they are like, There is no way that brain damage hasn't happened. Like, she is for sure dead. She's not dead. She's getting life-saving support, but like her if she wakes up, it's not, she's not gonna be a vegetable essentially. They're like, there's no way. She has woken up and is talking.
SPEAKER_01Oh my god. She's just like, huh.
SPEAKER_06She's awake and talking. They don't know at what level the damage is because I guess to to be sentenced and to be put to death, you have to have you have to have be able to comprehend your crime and understand why you're being put to death. And if you can't, if those two things can't happen, then they can't legally put you to death.
SPEAKER_01However, what in the world?
SPEAKER_06However, I speculated that I was like, I wonder if technically she was put to death by lethal injection if she served her sentence and will now just like go into reform or something, which is crazy because she's in her 40s. Like she was raised in prison, essentially.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Um gosh. But apparently the uh execution still stands.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_06And uh so they don't know with like her lawyers what their move is gonna be, but uh according to the law, like it still stands. It's just the governor called off all executions for the rest of the year. There was one of them.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, they're like double checking like procedures and stuff to see. I think like some people's bodies just react differently. And like if they got her muscle, that's one thing. I don't know the second time how they would do that, but I also know they're like people who have red hair sometimes, like they have to do special well.
SPEAKER_06They told her apparently her lawyers said they they'd been fighting for years against lethal injection because she had a blood disease or a blood disorder where it would make it hard. So, like, there is a probably a medical reason.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and this is them being like, We told you sometimes, yeah, just based on different genetic things, sometimes they have to change what it is, yeah, like amounts of medications, things like that. Yeah. But so I have this pulled up that they this uh is a article from people, and it says, um, on Monday, uh the Monday, October 5th, Krista Pike's attorney, Randy Spivey, received some upsetting news about his clients despite somehow surviving the botched execution six days prior. Um, the decision has been made to remove Pike from life support. On Monday night, it was our understanding that Krista was brain dead and that on life life support would be removed the next day. But on Tuesday, to shock everyone, Krista woke up and began talking. So oh, you already said that. Sorry. I thought this was like a new development.
SPEAKER_06No, sorry, that was just I just summarized it, but I didn't know those details that they were gonna take off life support. That's quite yellow dumb.
SPEAKER_02So I what I'm wondering, I don't know like how much of her family is like around or alive anymore. I wonder if they can sue for emotional damages themselves.
SPEAKER_06Totally having to like go through that.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I know that like her execution will still stand, they will do it again or they'll change the method. Cause I think in the state she's in, it still is electric chair, lethal injection, or firing squad, yeah, yeah, yeah. Are still like available. So I wonder if they will change oh right. The form just like to make sure. Yeah, yeah. That's insane. Yeah, but wow. Yeah, I'm like, because I people are like, well, can she sue? And it's like, well, no, she's still on death row. Like yeah, you can't sue them. They they had to save her life, and that's like she's she deserves like to be treated humanely in the case of that it something went wrong. Totally. But like once she recovered, it does say she has a long road, a long recovery. It said it does not have an explain explanation for what happened between Monday night and Tuesday morning, but that she has a long road to recovery, which I'm sure she's so happy about.
SPEAKER_06Maybe if she's that cognizant. I don't know.
SPEAKER_02Does she get another last meal?
SPEAKER_06She refused her last meal.
SPEAKER_02In what world? I would never. I would be getting Pizza King. I would be getting all of it. Cheese cheesecake factory cheesecake.
unknownWow.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, it's nuts.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, so I'm just like, I wonder if her family can sue.
unknownOh.
SPEAKER_06Maybe. Hey. Who knows now? Anything's possible.
SPEAKER_02Totally. Well, I can't sue for anything.
SPEAKER_04You don't know anything about the devil.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, wow. Now you're gonna see it in your own.
SPEAKER_04I know I will. I can't, yeah. I didn't even hear about it at all. Yeah. It's wild.
SPEAKER_02It's well, I I don't want to step on your toes for your, but I mine does it also include prison.
Diddy’s Prison Perks And Corruption
SPEAKER_02So it's a good segue. Girl, prison. Well, there has been a new article um that has been released about Diddy's time in prison. And I just thought that it was very interesting.
SPEAKER_06Oh, we used to have Diddy Corner on this podcast. Wow, I forgot about that. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02So NBC did a like expose, I guess, on how Diddy's doing in prison. Oh, God. And um, so this is a page six article, but about the NBC. And it says, Sean Diddy Combs is reportedly living a pampered life while his 50 month, while serving his 50-month sentence in New Jersey. Four anonymous men who spent time in the same unit as Diddy claimed that his people, he has people who cooks cooks and cleans for him and even give him Chinese style massages. In prison. In prison. Um, this is quote. One of them says, quote, this is not some normal shit you see in jail. This is some rich shit. Wow. It looks crazy, but again, it's city. So Combs allegedly pays other men to clean his toilet and shower area and secretly cook him special meals such as curry, chicken, pizza, and empanadas. Dude. Wow. After a while, I got tired of cooking. One said, one of the men said, who allegedly prepared meals for Diddy. He started to then he started going to the Jamaicans. So this guy said, I'm not doing it anymore. And Diddy said, I'll find someone else.
SPEAKER_05Wow. Wow.
SPEAKER_02The outlet obtained photos uh and videos of comb 56 inside the prison. And one video, the disgraced hip-hop mogul can be seen using a contraband cell phone, which I also learned if you get caught using a cell phone, that every time you get caught, it can add a year to your sentence.
SPEAKER_05Whoa.
SPEAKER_02Um, but he uses this phone to scroll Instagram and scan nude and sexually explicit photos that an old girlfriend sends him. So clearly he doesn't care what why he's in there and he's gonna keep doing the same things. He always does. But I guess we all we already need that.
SPEAKER_06Of course, of course.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Um, and also he the outlet reported that he allegedly gets antidepressant drugs and has a secret stash of premium liquor. Um, one of the inmates said that he drank with him. This is what I want to talk about. It's like, how are all prisons privately owned? Or some of them are state?
SPEAKER_05Correct. Right?
SPEAKER_02Yes, and so though they have regulations, I'm sure, but there is so much corruption in the prison system. Yeah. But it's like really though? Come on. Why don't these people want everyone to be treated the same? I understand like Martha Stewart did like a white collar crime, and like that's not as bad as what Diddy did. It's not as bad as murder and all those things. Like, it's against the law, sure. But like, I'm not mad at her having like a chiller time in prison, I guess, for her like tax evasion, like whatever, yeah. Do not care. But like for him, it's like he why is no one enforcing that you have to be treated like everyone else? Fine, put him in a different unit because he's famous and all these people are gonna be like fawning over him. Put him in a different unit, but like make him still have to do the things that everyone else does. It's he's never gonna learn, right? He's never gonna learn. He's never, nothing is ever gonna matter to him. He's just gonna be like, Well, I have to be in here for a few years and then I'll get out and everything's fine. Like he's even using his money now as hierarchy, totally. Yeah, he's so he's having someone on the outside send money to commissary to these people who do all these things for him. Wow. And it's just yeah, no one's ever gonna learn.
SPEAKER_05Nope.
SPEAKER_02And his lawyers are just like, Why are you guys making news about this? Like, this is what happens every day in prison. It's like this is not like this is not salacious, this is what happens in prison.
SPEAKER_06And I'm just like, well, but then what's we have a problem with prison?
SPEAKER_02That's why people get out and do repeat the same things because they're the the what's the word I'm trying to say? Like the consequence is like you are taken out of society for however long your sentence is, uh-huh, but people just find a way to live the same way. Yeah, so no one's ever really the whole point is you're put somewhere where it's so bad you never want to go back. Right.
SPEAKER_06It's bare minimum, it's bare minimum.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but you have someone making you empanadas, you're like, I'm like, should I be inpanadas?
SPEAKER_05I feel like a good idea. I do.
SPEAKER_02There is a couple girls like that come up sometimes on my TikTok that are like used to be in prison, and they will remake. They'll be like, This is how we made prison pizza, and they'll like show you how they did it and like it low-key looks good.
SPEAKER_04Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_02Easy ingredients, people get that shipped out. Uh-huh. People get creative, but I don't know. I'm just like, yeah, he doesn't care. So what's the point? Why are we paying for him? Let him out. I know it's like at this point, what's the point? He's getting nudes, he's getting porn like while he's in there. So, like, why have people the taxpayers pay money? I don't know if this is a hot take.
SPEAKER_06But not as pizza and porn, sign me up for prison.
SPEAKER_02He doesn't care, it doesn't matter. So, what's the point? Yeah, yeah. I don't know. Maybe that's like hot, but speaker truth.
SPEAKER_04Can't even that's wild. Can't believe it. Well, mine's kind of prison related, but
Gypsy Rose News And Public Whiplash
SPEAKER_04not really. But I actually brought up to you guys, I don't know if we were gonna talk about it separately. Yeah, but I'm just gonna bring it up. Um, Gypsy Rose's husband.
SPEAKER_06Oh, wait.
SPEAKER_04Was it his own? So he was found unresponsive in Raceland, Louisiana. What a name. Raceland? Yeah. Um on his 31st, 31st. That's a different one. 34th birthday. On his birthday. And um he had an overdose.
SPEAKER_06But like I did not hear it was an overdose.
SPEAKER_04It is like tub. That's what season being it is. But what what yes? Like, she drugged him on his birthday. Allegedly. That's what I'm reading. Allegedly. Totally, allegedly, allegedly, but that's that's what my my like blinders are telling me.
SPEAKER_02Well, that's what everyone's like I saw the the first post I saw was like ran to the comments, and everyone else is like, everyone was letting it. I couldn't run faster to be.
SPEAKER_04She does it again and stuff like that. I mean, like, what are the chances though? Really?
SPEAKER_06Yeah, that is I know. I thought that too. I was like, no way.
SPEAKER_04But again, no one learns in prison. You're right. This is exact, this ties in. Look at that. It's I don't know.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it's a little bit between your name and Gypsy Rose and someone near you die.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, so I'm kind of excited to see where I'm not excited. Were they you know what I mean?
SPEAKER_02Were they still together?
SPEAKER_06They were still together, I thought.
SPEAKER_02This is the one that she was like the D is fired.
SPEAKER_06No, no, no, no. I don't think so.
SPEAKER_04Supposedly they might have they were go gonna get a divorce.
SPEAKER_06Oh, and then I thought they were engaged.
SPEAKER_04Actually, yeah, they're engaged. They weren't no, they got engaged in 2018, split up, they have a kid together, and then she briefly married someone else. Oh divorced him. Yeah, which one has the fire deal?
SPEAKER_06Maybe it was is this guy that's passed.
SPEAKER_02The guy that she was with right out of prison is not this guy. I know that.
SPEAKER_06Correct, the one that was like in the documentary, correct.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, yeah, this is a different one. Wow, but she can get more men than me.
SPEAKER_02Who's the kid with?
SPEAKER_06The one that died.
SPEAKER_02Okay, yeah, yeah, it's tough when your name is Gypsy Rose Blanchard, yeah, it's tough.
SPEAKER_06And if you're around her, watch it back.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, seriously. Like, imagine being her friend, like she has friends, that's crazy.
SPEAKER_06Do you think Joey King is her friend?
SPEAKER_04No, I don't or like uh Kim Kardashian.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, it feels like that.
SPEAKER_02Like it's such a roller coaster with Gypsy too, because for so many years, which by the way, I was one of those people that thought that Gypsy Rose, like the whole story took place like 70 years ago. Like I thought that wasn't that like it was school? No, like there was because I didn't know what her, I just knew the story, and for some reason I thought it had happened so long before it actually did.
SPEAKER_06You're not confusing it with Grey Gardens.
SPEAKER_02What's Grey Gardens?
SPEAKER_06Grey Gardens is about Gypsy Rose, and she lives with her like weird mother in a this is a true story, Grey Gardens.
SPEAKER_02I mean, if that's true that's her name is Gypsy Rose and her it's this is
SPEAKER_06That's why it was so crazy because it was like Munchhausen by proxy really happened, and then it happened, and the daughter's name is Gypsy Rose, and then she'd kill her mom.
SPEAKER_02I have never heard of the term Grey Gardens, so maybe I knew.
SPEAKER_06No, Grey Gardens is the name of the movie.
SPEAKER_02Maybe I knew this like subconsciously, but I never knew anything about Gypsy Rose. I just knew the name and like the story, but I didn't know what she looked like or anything. Yeah. And so I thought that it was like so much older. And then when I learned she was the age that she is, I was like, What?
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_02But maybe, maybe subconsciously, like I knew something about that.
SPEAKER_04For sure, for sure.
SPEAKER_02So what I was gonna say is that it's such a roller coaster with her because you like feel so sorry for her for because all these things that happened to her when she, you know, was young.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And then then you kind of feel weird about it because it's like she orchestrated murdering, helping orchestrated murdering her mom, and then you're like, well, that's wrong. But then you're like, but also she was being tortured essentially, and it's like mom done that, you never know, right? Yeah, so it's uh such an emotional thing. And then she gets out of prison, and then we're all like gypsy rose doing like TikTok dances, and we're like, we were happy for her to get out, and then we were like, okay, now you're acting weird, yes, and you're like acting strange. It's just been a such a roller coaster. And I don't know what to think about it. We'll see what happens with this whole situation, we'll keep everyone abreast.
SPEAKER_06Well, speaking of roller coasters, dearly beloved, we gather here to say our goodbyes.
Saying Goodbye To X2 At Six Flags
SPEAKER_01We should have had candles. What's that from again? Oh, that's from Rent.
SPEAKER_06Rent. Um, you might have noticed we're all wearing our matching Six Flags sweatshirt.
SPEAKER_02We are crazy. I wondered if you noticed.
SPEAKER_06I forgot to say before we started. Whoa, we're all in the same sweatshirt.
SPEAKER_02No, I think it's funnier that we didn't say anything until just now.
SPEAKER_06But you you can react into your mic.
SPEAKER_02You can say Oh my god, I can't believe it.
SPEAKER_04You can talk into your mic directly. Oh, yeah, that's what this is. All right.
SPEAKER_06Anyway, guys, we are here to say rest in peace.
SPEAKER_04We are here.
SPEAKER_06We're here to say rest in peace to X2.
SPEAKER_04X2 My favorite ride, my number one. I've introduced so many people to it. It gave me a first ride I go on when I go to Six Flags. And you don't have a headache for all the whole day? Yes, I do. Oh, okay. But it's amazing. It's like a headache of like, I just did that.
SPEAKER_06You know? People got brain damage.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, literally. I think I got brain damage. To be fair, there's a lot of roller coasters I've ridden that knock me around that are far worse, in my opinion, than X2.
SPEAKER_06Well, here's the thing with X2 you are the perfect height for that roller coaster. My long leg, like I've ridden X2 at least 80 times.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_06And every time, like my head is in a safe space on X2. Like, I don't actually get that banged up in the head, but my legs get thrown like this because they're just like I would rather have my legs thrown than my head bouncing back and forth. Speak for yourself. Um, but anyway, it's I liked Six Flags statement. They they were like, it has passed every safety.
SPEAKER_04That's what I mean.
SPEAKER_06But their reason is like, but obviously, like what how good this is how I interpret it. How good is a roller coaster gonna do if like a quarter of the people write it now because everyone else is scared? But yeah, that's just like wasted real estate then.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, and they're trying to like do the family right and stuff.
SPEAKER_02For sure. So they are are they completely demolishing and doing a new one, or are they gonna try to just like use the track but change it up?
SPEAKER_06So I thought of that, but the track is so specific to the way the cars flip. I cannot imagine any other kind of thing going on that. Like it would have been.
SPEAKER_04Maybe they'll get rid of just some like crazy loops and stuff.
SPEAKER_02Is it staying closed, or is it like for one week you guys can come back? No, no, I think quite for insurance reasons.
SPEAKER_01Well, so they've been closed, I think, for a year.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but I just thought I was just thinking because it passed the things where they like, all right, fine, if you want to come write it, you can write it, but like it should just be ride at your own risk.
SPEAKER_06You if you want to find something, that's what I that's what I think all rides are. I think it's just the fact that the fears are.
SPEAKER_03So they know that no one is gonna do it.
SPEAKER_06I'm gonna still have gone for sure.
SPEAKER_03Well, he told me not to write it and I forgot.
SPEAKER_06Just knowing Allison, I was like, don't do it. It's it's like gonna be bad for your head.
SPEAKER_02Um I didn't know which one he actually had. But we'll have to go.
SPEAKER_06We should we should go for Christmas again. When we got these two years ago, three years ago? Oh my god, I think it was three years ago.
SPEAKER_02Wow, 10 flyers.
SPEAKER_06Maybe two, two, two, yeah, because I had longer hair. Two years ago we got these. We need to go back.
SPEAKER_02There's still strong. I'm really sorry to you both. I know you loved it so much.
SPEAKER_06But I have tons of tons of ride photos. And yeah, thank you, Allison.
SPEAKER_04And you have photos on it?
SPEAKER_06Yeah, that has a camera. So like I have all these photos of me.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I never I have one of you. Really?
SPEAKER_06Yeah, I have one from a trip we went on with you. I'll have to send it to you so you can post it. I think it's you and Britney. I think it's you and Brittany.
SPEAKER_02Oh my gosh. How many ride photos do you think you have accessible?
SPEAKER_06Oh, 500.
SPEAKER_02Oh my gosh. You should see if someone can make one of those like collage photos that looks like a bigger picture. Yeah, with all your photos.
SPEAKER_06You know what I did do with it during the pandemic? Because at that point I had maybe like 200. I had a I put them all in a Photoshop document, made them all the same size. So it filled like a nine by nine by sixteen. Cool. Then I had a puzzle made.
SPEAKER_03Oh fun.
SPEAKER_06And it is the hardest puzzle you'll ever see and ever do. But I still have it. Have you done it? Yeah, I've done it. Oh, yeah. Me and Megan did it.
SPEAKER_04Nice.
SPEAKER_06But it's tiny. So like the it's curved into some of the anyway. It was a challenge, but it was fun to do to be like, oh yeah, look tons of X2.
SPEAKER_04That's so cool.
SPEAKER_06Anyway, you're probably on that puzzle.
SPEAKER_04Well, I can't believe you wouldn't tell me, but I probably did.
SPEAKER_06Your memory's not the best.
SPEAKER_04You know, because I've been on X2 so many times. You probably do have brain dimensions.
SPEAKER_06Uh R A P R A P. One other little piece of theme park
Disneyland Reservation Rules Get Better
SPEAKER_06news. Um, I don't know if you guys got the email from Disneyland the other day.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, but I didn't I didn't even know those things existed. I sent it to the city. She sent it to me. How did you do it? She sent it to me? I sent it to our group. Yeah, and she was like, Yeah, she did it. On Instagram, you never check your Instagram. You're right, I don't. So we unanswered text.
SPEAKER_06She has to tell me to go look.
SPEAKER_04I'm like, I sent you something on Instagram, but then even then, sometimes no response.
SPEAKER_02I'm not doing that. If you don't see it, it's on you. But sure.
SPEAKER_06Well, okay, I'm excited about the fact that no more penalty and you can cancel day off. That's great.
SPEAKER_02So now is great. All we need to do. Oh, well, say that again.
SPEAKER_06So you used to be penalized, everyone. You would get three strikes. Correct. Two no shows.
SPEAKER_02If you make a reservation and then you have until 11:59 the day before. And then the day if you don't cancel it, you have until midnight the next night to go check in at the park.
SPEAKER_06So like physically go there and scan your.
SPEAKER_02You forget, and then you're like, oh no, like you you're making a trip down there to at least check in if you don't want to strike.
SPEAKER_06And I and the strikes, once you have three, you can't make a reservation for oh, I don't know, because a strike lasts for two months and then it'll go away. So I've I have had that in the past. Anyway, they got rid of that system, which is good because that was terrible.
SPEAKER_05And that is terrible.
SPEAKER_06Now you just need to they're not gonna give you a penalty, but you have the day, which I guess obviously, because if you're not gonna go the day of, you're gonna cancel.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_06And now you're not gonna get penalized for canceling day of. And you have till 11:59 p.m. the night of your reservation to cancel.
unknownWow.
SPEAKER_06So I think that's great.
SPEAKER_02So now all they need to do is take it back to same day reservations and it'll be perfect. Yes.
SPEAKER_04Oh, so you used to be able to.
SPEAKER_06Wait, you can. You just discovered this.
SPEAKER_02Like same same day?
SPEAKER_06Yes, you told me this that you were looking and you could make a reservation that day. You have you 100%.
SPEAKER_02Oh, okay. Maybe they're just not promoting it.
SPEAKER_06That could be.
SPEAKER_02And this could also Because it used to be, yeah. But this is before like we had it. Like back in the day, if you had a pass, it was just like you can just literally, I mean, like, you can just go to the park. Oh, like you can just walk up and be like, here's my pass, go in.
SPEAKER_06Because if you can do that at Knott's berry, Six Flags, Cedar Point, yeah.
SPEAKER_02But I think probably pandemic time, it wasn't that long ago. I feel like I've heard people say that that's when they changed correct policy.
SPEAKER_06To be a reservation system, yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02So they need to go back to that. Like we can just we can be all at our own homes and we can text each other and be like, hey, should we go to Disney tonight? And we could just go and walk up and get in.
SPEAKER_06Right.
SPEAKER_02Wow.
SPEAKER_06Could it be coming to that eventually? We'll see. This might be the first time.
SPEAKER_02You might be able to do that if you have the like most rich pass.
SPEAKER_06Just show up because there's no blackout.
SPEAKER_04Most rich.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, the one that's like how it's like 2,000 a year.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, it's crazy. Dylan pays 2,000 a year. What what extra does it give you?
SPEAKER_06No blackout dates, free parking, huge discounts.
SPEAKER_04It's probably worth it.
SPEAKER_06If you go a lot and he does.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Yeah, he must be there every week.
SPEAKER_06It feels like he is.
SPEAKER_02And like a lot of the uh Disney like influencers do that. Yeah. Because I that's why I think you can maybe go same day because oh yeah, they'll be like, come to the park with me. Yeah, it's just like because m Megan the magical millennial, I feel like she will just pop because she has another job, I think. Yeah, I feel like she just pops in there and she's like, I decided to come like for the evening.
SPEAKER_06Oh, right, right.
SPEAKER_02So I don't know.
SPEAKER_06So yeah, we love it.
SPEAKER_02Love. Was it time for A-list of the
A List Picks And Pop Culture Dates
SPEAKER_02week?
SPEAKER_06I think it's time for A-list of the week.
SPEAKER_02Oh, yeah. Angela, what you got?
SPEAKER_04Um, I had it written down on my other phone.
SPEAKER_06Your actual phone.
SPEAKER_04But let me think. If I can go, oh, um I've been watching Special Forces.
SPEAKER_00Oh, hell yeah.
SPEAKER_04Have you been watching it as well? That's one of Haverite. I really love that show because it's just so therapeutic. Like when they bring the people back and then like, let's get to the bottom of it. And they give them a nice talking to. Like, I made a um story the other night you probably saw about Ruby Rose. But I'm I've never been a fan of Ruby Rose. Like, she always bothered me. And then I was watching this and I was like starting to kind of feel like bad for her. I don't know if you know, like her well, yeah, you do because you're watching special.
SPEAKER_02Well, I think I've only seen like the first episode. So I saw her talk about her injury.
SPEAKER_04She had she broke her neck on the set of Catwoman.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, and that never even came out. It's a Batgirl.
SPEAKER_04Oh, it's Batgirl. So she broke her neck, then she was blacklisted, supposedly. I don't know how, maybe because she couldn't finish the film or something happened.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I don't know exactly that.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, and then like she hasn't been able to book anything, and then she was talking about her childhood as she used to get beat. You'll get to that anyway. And it was just so sad. And I'm listening to her, and I was just like, wow.
SPEAKER_06And Hayden Pantier was her best friend.
SPEAKER_04Oh, really? I didn't know that.
SPEAKER_06But I imagine this would have been filmed before she passed.
SPEAKER_02And she's in the middle of this thing with Katy Perry, which is strange. Yeah, and then the Katy Perry situation.
SPEAKER_03Remember, she said that Katy Perry like put her vagina in her face at some club or something. And she's like trying to get her on like sexual assault. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02You don't remember this at all? We definitely talked about this.
SPEAKER_04Give us context. I'm you know what? This was my subject.
SPEAKER_06And you have a phone to Google but you're not.
SPEAKER_04Mine was basically special forces. It's really good. I love the show. I could never do any of it. And that's why I love it. Because I'm like, wow, my god, they're outside and like 50 below 50 degrees.
SPEAKER_02I'd be freezing looking for this. Like, please talk about George Santos. Because he's struggling.
SPEAKER_04Oh, George Santos is which one?
SPEAKER_06The gay politician.
SPEAKER_02Oh, he's gone. Yeah, he left spoiler alert. I'm sorry.
SPEAKER_06Oh no, that no warning at all.
SPEAKER_02No, it's fine. No, the first episode. He's gross. He's gross. It was wild. We already knew it wasn't gonna be good. Okay. Yeah. And he tried to keep keeping like, I I'm overweight and like I can't. And they were like, we don't care. Like if you're he's a if you're trying, then we're gonna not gonna be mean to you. Like they're gonna be like mean as in like that's the show they're supposed to yell at him. But like he was acting like such a weenie. He's like just like the deck is broken. And they're like, you just don't want to do like you're late, you're being lazy. But like, yeah, he they made him the first because every episode or like every yeah, they're they assign someone to be like the leader, and they have you have to make sure everyone is when they call like formation, like everyone, you make sure everyone gets out there, you like report to the guy, like the head guys, if for anything, like you're kind of just like the liaison in between. And they they keep like assigning new people to do that, but they made him the first one because obviously, like he they knew he was gonna struggle, yeah. And they're like calling him, and you if you when they're letting them like chill, they can take off their shoes and their like clothes and stuff like that to like lay on their beds and not be like in the whole get up.
SPEAKER_00Sure.
SPEAKER_02But if they call your name, like you have to put that all that on really fast and get out to them, and he's like taking his time, and he's like, Oh my god, everyone is like, it's a joke, you have to get out there. Like you're they're gonna make you do push-ups or something, like get out there. And he's like, he's like, What am I supposed to do? I can't do it, yeah. But like it him trying to see him crawl through the mud and the stuff, it was a really hard.
SPEAKER_04I know that's why I wanted him to stay on because I wanted them to kick his butt. Yeah, but he gave up, he gave up. Okay, so Tara Reed. Oh gosh. Oh, and what housewife, what's her name?
SPEAKER_02Um yeah, what is her name? I forget her name.
SPEAKER_06Well, this isn't her last. This is Dorinda.
SPEAKER_02No, no, she had oh Brandy.
SPEAKER_06It's Brandy.
SPEAKER_02Okay, so where's I have a lot to say about that too, but I won't. So Ruby Rose said she didn't kiss me. She wrote in a response to someone who referred to Kitty Perry's hit track, I kissed a girl. She saw me resting on my best friend's lap to avoid her and bent down, pulled her underwear to the side, and rubbed her disgusting vagina on my face until my eyes snapped open, and I projectile vomited on her. She vomited on her?
SPEAKER_04Where was this?
SPEAKER_02At a nightclub. Uh, they're all wasted. She it was 20 years ago because she said she was in her 20s, she's now 40.
SPEAKER_0620 years ago?
SPEAKER_04Wow.
SPEAKER_06Wonder if boyfriend was a good one.
SPEAKER_04So that song I kissed a girl is about Ruby.
SPEAKER_02I don't think so. Oh. Because she kissed her somewhere else, if that's what she was.
SPEAKER_06Different cherry lips. Oh god, I'm sorry.
SPEAKER_02That skirt. So, yes, I do enjoy that, but I love special forces so much.
SPEAKER_06Is that your A list of the week, too?
SPEAKER_02No, what's yours? I actually thought about it as I was thinking of things I've been watching. Um, mine is number one, Uncrustables. I just have to get that out of the way. I disagree. It was so delicious, and I was like, wow. Really? I've never had an uncrustable.
SPEAKER_06Every time I've bitten into an uncrustable, the frickin' jelly just comes out like an ooze, disgusting ooze.
SPEAKER_02First of all, you have to um freeze them, and then you have to take it out for just a couple minutes, and then it's perfect.
SPEAKER_06A frozen?
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, I don't know.
SPEAKER_02I don't know. I I can't do it. Well, wow. But it's it's my A-list. Okay, love that phrase. So I thought about special forces as mine. Okay. I want to say I have so many things. There's a new season of the Great British Baking Show. I did see that. Although I'm upset that they got rid of Prue.
SPEAKER_06Well, she's not doing well health-wise.
SPEAKER_02Well, I'm still upset because I love her so much. But The New Girl is pretty funny. I only watched um the first episode, so whatever. But obviously, it's the best show ever, and obviously. Everyone needs to go watch it. Post haste. I finally watched Disclosure Day on the airplane. Nice. Did you watch it? Of course. Did you watch it? No. It was better than I thought it was going to be. So it is like my A-list. Like, I do think people should watch it because it is like so relevant to the times that we're in.
SPEAKER_06But I love an action alien movie.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. See, I don't. That's why I it's like a partial A-list for me. It's like I kind of wanted it to be, I wish it was like a little better than it was.
SPEAKER_06What's it on? It's on a streaming platform now.
SPEAKER_02I don't know, because I watched it on a plane.
SPEAKER_06It might be on Netflix. It's on one of them. Peacock. Anyway.
SPEAKER_02One of them. Okay. But I love Emily Blunt so much that it made me like it more because of her.
SPEAKER_06I love it. I loved it.
SPEAKER_02But yeah, I think that everyone needs to. It's a partial A list. Because it's like it wasn't a perfect movie for me, but I did still enjoy it. Okay.
SPEAKER_06Cute.
SPEAKER_05There we go.
SPEAKER_06My list of the week is iced banana bread latte from Starbucks.
SPEAKER_04Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_06It is so good.
SPEAKER_04That sounds amazing.
SPEAKER_06Very unhealthy.
SPEAKER_04How many grams of sugar in that?
SPEAKER_06Too many. But I got a tall just to try it, and I was like, oh my. What a cute, what a nice little coffee treat.
SPEAKER_02You should learn how to make something similar yourself.
SPEAKER_06No, would never do that. Do you guys know me at all? I don't cook.
SPEAKER_02He loves Starbucks.
SPEAKER_04Okay, you can put syrup and stuff in a bean. It's a lot of effort. I finally figured out how to make my iced coffee in the morning taste like it. By shredding your bead.
SPEAKER_02And it took me years. What's your what's the routine?
SPEAKER_04Um, it's Starbucks blonde espresso. Just uh no, no, I put it in, so I do the espresso.
SPEAKER_06What do you do? Pour it over ice.
SPEAKER_04Shake it to make a little shaking espresso. Sure. Pour in my 2% a nice good amount. And then I have something called chogacino, which is a powder with mushroom nootropic blend, whatever. And the sweetener in that is monk fruit.
SPEAKER_05Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_04And it's like a nice, like instead of sugar, I put that in. And I'll put a little splash of vanilla.
SPEAKER_02Wow.
SPEAKER_04That is my Starbucks shaken espresso.
SPEAKER_06Do you start with beans or do you start with already their don't get started?
SPEAKER_04She doesn't know how to grind them. Hey, I chop them up.
SPEAKER_06Chop them up and chop them down.
SPEAKER_04I start with uh I have them do it.
unknownOh yeah.
SPEAKER_04There you go. You could do that at the store. What store? The grocery store. Yes, but Starbucks is crack. Like I can't switch off everything I've tried. Oh, you buy the beans from Starbucks. I buy it at Starbucks because they sell it.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, they do. They sell beans. This is not sponsored everyone.
SPEAKER_04No, it's not. Because I heard Starbucks like causes cancer, but like and also you heard it here first.
SPEAKER_06Starbucks does sell coffee.
SPEAKER_04They do. You would never know it.
SPEAKER_06Did you guys not okay?
SPEAKER_04Huh?
SPEAKER_06It was like you said, no, I get it from Starbucks. And she said, No, like, oh, you get it from the store. And I was like, yeah, it turns out you can get coffee at Starbucks.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Yeah, you can. Anyway, that sounds good.
SPEAKER_06That's my A-list of the week. But also, when I was just like researching stuff to talk about, I ended up on this cute little like the the this episode comes out on seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve. This episode comes out on October 12th, and I just got to see like what what in pop culture happened around those dates, and I saw some fun release dates that I wanted to say. So October 11th, yesterday was the in 1975 SNL premiered. Oh and then on that same day in 2006, the show 30 Rock premiered, which is a show that Tina Faye created based on a show like SNL.
SPEAKER_04So it must be a popular day for releases.
SPEAKER_06I think she probably did it on purpose.
SPEAKER_04I've never watched 30 Rock, should I? No.
SPEAKER_06Oh I loved 30 Rock.
SPEAKER_04Tina Faye to me is just not that. That's the hottest take ever. Tina Fay ain't it. Tina? I didn't say that.
SPEAKER_06That was all I said.
SPEAKER_04Don't cancel me, Tina.
SPEAKER_06October 13th, 1993, the nightmare before Christmas hits theaters. You sang it earlier.
SPEAKER_02Amazing.
SPEAKER_06October 14th, 2007, keeping up with the Kardashians aired.
SPEAKER_022007. Wow. And my senior year.
SPEAKER_06On October 17th in 1997, I know what you did last summer.
SPEAKER_02Ugh, the best.
SPEAKER_06And in 1998, Halloween Town.
SPEAKER_02Back when Halloween Town and horror movies came out at actual Halloween time and not February. Right. I hate that.
SPEAKER_06Halloween Town. So I gotta write too much. I know I forgot about it when I saw it. I was like, oh, I gotta, we gotta watch.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. I want to go to Salem at Halloween so much.
SPEAKER_06Megan has done it and it sounds amazing.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I know that people are like, it's so busy, and blah blah blah.
SPEAKER_06Who cares?
SPEAKER_02But I only want to go if it's like chilly.
SPEAKER_06And it makes me want to live in practical magic.
SPEAKER_02Of course.
SPEAKER_04I just watched that for the first time for the first one. And did you like it? I love it. It's so good, right? So it feels so good. It's so good. It is, yeah. Well, I haven't seen the second one yet. I really enjoyed it. I haven't seen it either.
SPEAKER_06Chad and I really enjoyed it.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Five stars.
SPEAKER_04Okay. Well, did it have the same vibe?
SPEAKER_06Yeah, with just, I would say, like the only spin is like technology is just better so the cameras aren't as like nostalgic feeling. The nostalgic cameras are so they dress them the same, like the vibe of their they they rebuilt the same house. Like it's cool. It's a it I enjoyed it.
SPEAKER_02Okay. Yeah. I'm excited to watch.
SPEAKER_06Um, except Maisie, what's her name?
SPEAKER_02You don't like her.
SPEAKER_06No, I like her, but her accent was so strong. She'd be like, What are you talking about? I love you.
SPEAKER_03It's like that was a good well. You're not Irish.
SPEAKER_06But she is trying to talk with an American accent. She'd be like, Mom, I love you. It's like, what?
SPEAKER_03And you're like, you're not her daughter, clearly. Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Um okay.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
Wedding Stories And A Dog Panic
SPEAKER_02Well, our last segment is um put it on the list. Put it on the list. And last week we asked you for sleepover stories.
SPEAKER_06Sleepover stories. And we got none. So do better this week.
SPEAKER_02No, but I have another.
SPEAKER_04Nobody have good sleepovers.
SPEAKER_06No, it's okay. We're like, this is a new thing. It's like we gotta try.
SPEAKER_02We gotta get people in the don't be shy. So since we I went to a wedding, Alex has been to a couple weddings, has another one this weekend. We thought we would talk about some crazy wedding stories.
SPEAKER_06Do you guys have anything?
SPEAKER_02I actually don't. I cannot, I have not been to that many weddings in my life. I did look up like something on Reddit just like for fun, but I was like going through the weddings I've been to, and I was like, oh, they're pretty like much just straightforward.
SPEAKER_06Okay, well, I have a funny one with a recorded sound bite to share. What?
SPEAKER_02Is this a yours or is this his you found no no?
SPEAKER_06I was at this wedding.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_06Okay, so I'm gonna text it to the group because I can't play it from my computer due to the fact that I'm plugged in.
SPEAKER_04Okay. This isn't no, it's okay.
SPEAKER_06She has her phone. Okay, you'll just play it from yours.
SPEAKER_04Okay, great.
SPEAKER_06Um I haven't hit send yet. Let me give context. I went to a wedding with my ex a few years ago. And there was a lot of people there. It was a large wedding and it was gorgeous. Literally, such a nice wedding. Really, really pretty. The bride was stunning. The bride um had a mariachi play her down the aisle.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_06And it was very hard to sit there with this particular mariachi music, and I would like for you to play it for everyone now, Allison.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_06Please enjoy. I recorded this from my phone.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_02Okay. Oh my god. It seems like we needed to tune up a little bit more.
SPEAKER_06I mean, wow. Talk about hard.
SPEAKER_03Sounds like when I try to harmonize with you guys. That's hilarious.
SPEAKER_06Anyway, that was like, yeah, I've been to a lot of weddings, but nothing really crazy. And then well, there's one crazy thing, but out of respect for my friend, I'm not gonna say that one.
SPEAKER_02I also have one like that. Yeah.
SPEAKER_06But this one I was like, oh, I have to tell this story because that's really funny. Imagine.
SPEAKER_03That is crazy.
SPEAKER_06And she wasn't laughing. So I was like, oh, she's not laughing, but we gotta was she mad? No, no, she didn't seem mad.
SPEAKER_03It was just like we didn't have a test run before.
SPEAKER_06It didn't seem like there was.
SPEAKER_02I mean, when you I think when you hire a mariachi, you're like, they're pretty the one style of music they do. It was their first gigding.
SPEAKER_06They seemed pretty established, they looked very good.
SPEAKER_02Maybe they just needed to tune a little bit more. That's crazy. Just if I tried to play.
SPEAKER_04That's like if we just decided to do it, like right now. Like that would be us. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05June, June, June. Hilarious.
SPEAKER_04I don't have a wedding story either, but I have like um a post-wedding like thing that happened. This is the only thing I can think about. I'll summarize it fast. I went up to my uncle's wedding up north, like outside of San Francisco.
SPEAKER_05Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_04And I brought my dog.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_04And he had this house with like all my aunts and uncles, and we were staying there. I remember. So I left Prince, and my cousin had his pit bull, and he left the pit bull with Prince. Oh gosh. But the pit bull was actually really friendly, which is kind of wild. So I made sure for the day before that they got along, and I was like, okay, they're gonna be good. So I was like the last one out of the house with Sass. And so I like closed the door and I was like, okay, I had like um I had those things on Prince as like the Apple tag, air tag, whatever. Because I know like my uncles and aunts, like they, you know, they like to have a good time and they'll like open the door and like leave it open. So I was like, we have I said to Sass, because Sass was like my date at the time. Yeah, I was like, I have to get be the first one back at the house so that they don't open the door and then Prince runs out. Yeah, yeah. So at the end of the wedding, I'm like, okay, it's time to get out of here. So like I went to call an Uber. There were no Ubers. Like this area was so desolate, there was not a single Uber. So me and a couple other people were like trying to get Ubers, and we're like, are there no Ubers here? So then some of my aunts and uncles like had driven, so they like start like going, but like the car was full, and I was like, oh my god. I was like, just be careful with the door and you get there, blah blah blah. And I'm looking and I'm like, okay, Prince is like in the house, whatever. So finally, like 45 minutes later, we figure out how we're gonna get home. Well, we finally like got an Uber, like a lift or something came and got us, and we're on our way driving, and my two little cousins are with me, they're like in their teens, and I'm looking at the air tag, and it's in the woods. And I start freaking out. I was like, they open the door, Prince is outside in the wilderness. Like, we were in the middle of nowhere.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, oh my god, my nightmare, my nightmare.
SPEAKER_04So we're we drive and I'm crying, and my cousins are like, oh my gosh, it's gonna be okay. It's okay. I'm like, no, you don't understand. Like, he's gone, and how can he find his way back? We get to the house, I run inside, and Prince is sitting on the couch, and I'm like, Where'd you go here? Nobody had gotten there yet. I think they went to a bar or something after. The air tag just didn't have a good signal and put him in the woods. That's what happened in Dubai with the boys. So rip to that air tag, because I'm never using that again to for anything like that. You had a heart attack for no reason. I was just sitting there on the couch and I was like, bawling my eyes out. My cousins were just like, Are you okay? I was like, I almost lost it. That was the day I almost lost my dog.
SPEAKER_06Oh, that is scary, and I hate that. Yeah, it was very scary.
SPEAKER_04Oh was did you have like cell service there? It was very spotty. It was like wine country.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_04I feel like it wasn't the AirTag's fault, then it was just like the it's the cell, it's wherever like this the cell towers can pick it up. Yeah, they picked it up in the woods. Yeah. Well, everybody. Can you imagine if you saw Stanley in the middle of the thing? I was like, he's gonna get eaten and there's no light.
SPEAKER_06Like, right, because it's like putting a hamster out in the woods.
SPEAKER_04So terrible. Yeah, no, it is.
SPEAKER_02Well, I I think I've said it before, but like I said when we were in Dubai that we were at such so high in our hotel that it looked like Caleb and Cameron were like in the ocean, and I thought that someone had like murdered them and thrown them in. Haley and I both did because they weren't answering their phones, they had like fallen asleep or something. Yeah, but and we had like dinner reservations that we were couldn't get a hold of them for. Oh my gosh. And it looked like they were in the ocean. We were like, they've been murdered and thrown in the ocean.
SPEAKER_04Oh my gosh, that's insane. Like their phones are in the ocean. What were they doing? Yeah, oh, I hate when that happens.
SPEAKER_02I just looked up Reddit because yeah, again, like every wedding I've been to was like when I was younger, like family things, and then like I've been to some friends, and it was perfect. So um, this is on Reddit, and it says, My mate got married at short notice because his fiance's dad was near death and wanted him to walk her down the aisle. At the reception, each table had a disposable camera. I had a few too many drinks and thought it would be amusing to take a photo of my crotch in the toilet. Problem was that they were developed, and wifey was going through them with her dad while he was in the hospital on his deathbed. The photo of his crotch popped up eventually. It was quickly identifiable because of the distinct tie I was wearing that was dangling in the photo. Oh god. My mate thought I was hilarious, but his wife never spoke to me again.
SPEAKER_04Oh god. Mate, this must be an Australian. It is. This is an Australian. So read it again with your accent.
SPEAKER_06Please try again with the Australian accent.
SPEAKER_04Next time be prepared, Alison.
SPEAKER_06Oh no, we have Australian listeners and they're gonna roast me for this.
