Welcome to The Zeepy Sleep Podcast. Tonight we're sharing The Puddle, a special Zeepy Morning story preview set just outside the door of the Moonbeam Cat CafΓ©.
It rained in the night, and the morning smells of it β stone, ground, clean air. By the open door there's a small puddle holding the whole sky, clouds drifting slowly across it. Kip crouches down to read the weather in it, looks up at the real sky to check, and then jumps straight in.
π What your child will experience:
- The after-rain smell of a morning, noticed slowly and out loud
- A puddle holding the whole sky β clouds, light, and a flash of brightness when the sun finds a gap
- An invitation to look out of their own window and see what the day is doing
- The quiet confidence of knowing what's out there before you step into it
- A jump β on the spot, or on the bed, if they want one
- Something waiting on the other side of the wait, for a child learning to stay put until the light turns blue
- For children aged 2β6, for the part of the morning when they're properly awake and ready to move
Play this one in the morning rather than at bedtime β after the clock turns blue, at a low, comfortable volume, with the curtains open if you can. The wake pieces are the other end of the routine: something warm and a bit playful that arrives once the waiting is done, so staying in bed has a point to it. This isn't a plotted story with a problem to solve. Kip finds one small thing outside the door and stays with it, and your child is invited to look and move alongside her.
Part of Zeepy's growing world of calming bedtime stories, sleep stories, meditations and music, this special preview offers a peaceful glimpse of the Wake content coming to the Zeepy app.
