How the power of social media brought 2 strangers together who soon found out they had more in common than they ever imagined! In this episode, meet Katie and Karen who were strangers until they weren’t.

• At the first meeting, Katie experienced a huge shift in a relationship and it changed the tone of the visit
• Katie was in a tumultuous relationship that constantly questioned whether it was the right thing for her
• Negative DM’s started coming in from the ex and threw her into anxious dysregulation
• Bearing witness to a hardship in real time tethered them in that moment and Karen was equipped to handle because she had been through similar abuse
• Feeling misunderstood by someone you’re supposed be protected by
• No resentment or grief any longer
• Same shoe size, Halloween is their favorite holiday, same short haircut, same birthday
• Houston surgery, in the hotel for 3 days then recuperated at Karen’s home 4 hrs away

• Asking each other “How would you like me to respond? Do you want me to listen or do you want me to provide honest feedback and/or solve problem?”
• People pleasing, changing how you show up, still a form of self-absorption

• Mean Girls movie discussion, Katie hasn’t seen the first version only the remake
• Katie and Karen didn’t have a good high school experience, but Karen still has friends from elementary and HS. Katie excelled in college as an athlete and made lifelong friends.
