SPEAKER_01

Man, welcome, welcome, welcome again. Another episode of Real Shit Let's Talk Podcast. Listen, man, I'm back. I'm your host, JR. Listen, today, man, let's get into it right now. So I just want to say thank y'all. First of all, let me start by saying that. Thank you for clicking like and subscribing. Thank you for tuning in. I just want to say today's topic right now is the five mental modes that built my brand and you know my grit for it. So here's the thing. One of the things that I would say I had to start doing, and shout out to real uh bag money rich, I had to start thinking like a CEO. And act like the machine and how bad I really want it. And like I want to, I want to be a legend in this game. Like in this podcast game, it is difficult. My name alone is difficult. I'm still working at it. Like I want it bad enough because I don't have a choice. And I knew that when I did this, I wanted it. You gotta want it. You gotta do it. Do the thing, as they say, do the thing that makes you afraid, you know? And that's where I was at with it. So it's like, hey, most people fail at this because they're they don't feel like they're talented enough. They feel like, oh, I can't make this content, or I can't do this, or they fail because they think differently. They don't have that mindset to think like a CEO. You know, in today's episode, I'm gonna break down the five mental modes, or no, not modes, models that help me build my brand and stay consistent in developing my podcast. Now, and if you can apply one of these, you you'll be good to go to. Let's go say, you know? So let's get it. Let's let's let's let's get into it. Let me keep it a hundred with you, a thousand, a stat with you right now. This shit wasn't easy. There was a time where I had the vision, but no structure. I was just, like I said, I've I mentioned this uh a couple other episodes. I ended up doing my podcast and not like I was dropping every two weeks. Like I was, I started, and I can't, and if I didn't have the money, I wasn't doing it. Um, I was procrastinating. I was doing the things that was like my mindset didn't think like a CEO. But I had to get there because of the coaches and mentors and programs things that I was going through. And, you know, shout out to you know, uh David Shans, Donnie Wiggins, and Podcast Summit, like all those things, podcast movement, these things. I had to get in these rooms in order to get there, though. I had to do the thing that I said I wanted to do. And once I start, I mean, I was knocking out podcasts. Uh uh, you catch me in the studio. And again, where I started from is where I'm starting at right now. In the sense of I can stop and do a podcast anywhere I go. I carry my tripod, I carry my uh mics, and I I I'm ready. Let's go. Set up the camera, let's go. We're ready to go all day, no matter where. It could be at the airport, I'm ready. It could be at the coffee shop, I'm ready. Barbershop, I'm ready. So, listen, it really wasn't until I changed the actual way that I was thinking, and I had to want the change. But when I wanted it bad enough and I put myself in position to move like that, the modes, the momentum started taking off. And I was like, well, it's just just money. No, man, listen, I have gotten to interview some most poetic, um, high-class, six, seven, eight-figure earners on my podcast. It's not always just about working hard, though. It is about doing the thing smarter. As I say, work smarter, not harder. That's the thing. That's the transition that I had to do. That's where I was like, okay, I'm gonna make this happen. And so I had to get into that mode. Five of them. Or I had to use models that helped me get to where I needed to be. And that changed for me everything about my structure. I started dropping every week. I started doing batches, I started just recording and just doing the thing that I had to do because I wanted it bad enough. I wasn't thinking about it. I just had to make it happen. I knew that if I didn't do it, it was not going to get done. And, you know, as as we look at it, you know, I tell myself all the time, like, damn.

SPEAKER_00

Well, I messed up.

SPEAKER_01

But I'm getting back on that horse and I'm doing it. I am not giving up. I am not gonna quit. I don't want to quit. I'm not gonna quit. And this is the thing that helps me keep going forward for doing my podcast, for doing the thing. As you see, like I said, I got my little mic right here, you know, and I'm and I'm doing it. You can too. Remember that. The thing that you want to do, you want to keep going for that. So let me just, you know, get into it a little bit, you know. Let's go to, you know, model one. Stop focusing on what you want and start focused on who you need to become. If you want to be that millionaire, if you want to be that next scientist, the next doctor, the next lawyer, start looking at yourself like that. Have affirmations around you, get positive energy around you, read some books, make sure that you're studying, make sure you're doing the thing that causes you to be different and in the sense of change for the greatness of you. If you want to be successful, who however ask yourself does your habits match that identity of you wanting to be successful, if you want to be that NBA player, NFL player, hockey player, um, MLB player, soccer player, lawyer, doctor, pharmacist, nurse, entrepreneur, solopreneur, anything of that nature, you gotta ask yourself that stuff. That that's where it comes in, and you'd be like, I don't know.

SPEAKER_00

Don't question it. Go for it.

SPEAKER_01

I told myself that in being a podcaster, like I did say, I ain't gonna lie, I wanted to be a successful podcaster. That's what I said. However, I had to stop saying that. I said, I am a disciplined, successful podcaster because guess what? I'm a disciplined podcaster. I am the master of only my podcast. I am ready to shift these gears and make my podcast a whole class brand name out here, you know? And this is where I was like, hmm, I had to change the game. I am JR, the host of Real Shit Let's Talk Podcast. This is my podcast. This is me. I'm going to build it.

SPEAKER_00

And like I said, I had to start from scratch. And you know, again, guess what?

SPEAKER_01

I made it happen. So we're gonna get into model two real quick. So you know how motivation dies sometimes and it's only temporary, you know, it happens, right? So that's that thing. But I had to develop a system and a routine to change the habits that I needed to do to order to keep producing this podcast, and I got all the videos. I'm now I'm working on that. I gotta drop those. I'm not gonna not drop my pod.

SPEAKER_00

You're gonna get the audio version because I'm still dropping. But once you develop a system, systems last forever.

SPEAKER_01

You are not inconsistent with what your goals are, what you want to do, and how you want to do it. It's just your system, you don't have it properly created. So once I would say again, back to me in the podcast, once I created the system of the flow, because I had to learn from mentors and coaches and go through these things and fail and drop the ball and pick it up again and different things and post in my schedule on my on my uh computer and my iPad and my phone. Listen, you got to set up these things, and don't think it's easy because it's not.

SPEAKER_00

Don't ever think that. But I'll tell you this. I had to execute on days I didn't feel like doing it. And I would say this winners don't rely on feelings, they rely on systems.

SPEAKER_01

Remember that model three. Stack small wins. Everybody wants big wins, but ignore the small ones. Small wins get you to the top as well. Don't ever forget that because that's where you begin to pick up on momentum. So when you're consistent, it's not funny, it's not sexy, it's not cute, but it builds confidence that you are doing the thing that you want to do and you're making it happen. Every post and every podcast that I've ever done, I just I had to do it. That's how I built my momentum. And whatever it is, the thing that you do, practicing, getting in the gym, getting in the weight room, um, studying, and executing those practice exams. These are the things that you got to do in order to get you to the next level.

SPEAKER_00

Small wins stack daily, unstoppable momentum. Let's get into model number four.

SPEAKER_01

Feedback over ego. Your ego will keep you stuck. You gotta be willing to say, what can I do better and learn from it? How I this is how I grew. Listening and adjusting and improving. Always. Not taking things too personal, but taking them serious in order to build my brand in order to be the person that I want to see is that in the mirror and who I am today. Feedback is not an attack, it's an upgraded version of where you are going to be. Now, in this next model, model number five.

SPEAKER_00

Most people don't acknowledge the problem or know that there is a problem.

SPEAKER_01

They have an action problem by not being consistent, by not doing the thing that was supposed to be done to in order for them to get to the next level. But you're gonna be different. I built my brand by moving and not waiting on others.

SPEAKER_00

Clarity comes from the action and not thinking, or overthinking, I should say.

SPEAKER_01

Listen, let's just do a quick little recap really quick, guys, so I can get this to you because I want you to have it. I know that you are doing the thing that you are going to be great at.

SPEAKER_00

So let's get into it real quick. Let's lock this in. Step number one.

SPEAKER_01

Identify over outcomes, systems over motivation, stack the small wins, feedback over ego, action over overthinking. If you apply these, your life will change, period, automatically, because you are him, you are her, you are that man, that woman, you're that athlete, you are that lawyer, that doctor. And if you've got a podcast, come on now, put it up. Now listen, if you're serious about leveling up, I'll let you know. Down below, I created a 21-day accountability challenge workbook. If you need it, it's designed to help you with then change your old habits into new habits. And if you really want to take it another one, you can also excuse me, join the community. It's down below. If you really want to do it, listen. You don't need more motivation, you need a system. You're not inconsistent. Your system's just broken. Clarify comes after action, not before. So stop focusing on goals and focus on your identity of the thing that you want to become, person you want to be, places that you want to go. And guess what? I am so excited to just keep going with my pod. I'm super excited that you are just here. And after these five mottos, man, listen, this podcast game is is is is it's fun, man. I enjoy it. I have a I have a passion of doing it. And I know that one day soon I'll get another sponsor. I'll get a brand deal. And I'll be on BT, MTV, a couple morning shows, and different things of that nature. And I'm already on a few networks as doing my podcast or for doing my podcast. But you can too. You can do this. Don't think that it's just one trick pony, and that's it. That's not the way this goes. This is the thing that you must embed into your head. You must do this relentless, regardless. Sometimes you might not feel like doing it, but guess what? You're doing it. And excuse me. And you know what? I'm proud of you. If nobody tells you that I'm that they're proud of you, I'm telling you, I'm proud of you. For actually listening to this podcast, I'm actually grateful that you took the time to actually shape and format your goals. And I got a few other things down there to help you. We I got a uh we got a program driven program down below. If you need some six weeks of coaching from two coaches right there, if you need that for anything to clarify your vision, habit stacking, accountability, I got that down there too. If you need to just set up the foundation for your finances, hey, and to build trust, like trust for your assets and different things. I got that down there too. But I got so many tools that I love to give these out to you as resources that shows you that you can, you will, you must continue to on building you and the future that you want into the future of yourself. And know that guess what? You got this. One day you will be the head of household. One day you will be that boss, leader, director, photographer, lawyer, basketball player, football player, anything. You can do it. That's that's not hard. It's just about being consistent with it. And you know what? Don't think about it. Don't overthink of it. Just do the thing. I'm happy for you. And again, these were the five mental models that built my brand and my grit for the real shit. Let's talk podcast. But you can apply these things to yourself and use this models for your the next level you. You can do this and guess what? Ain't nobody stopping you but you. Ain't nobody gonna quit or give up but you. And so it might not fit the demographics of how everybody else is, it might not be what how what they say or what they think, but guess what? Building yourself or building your career doesn't look pretty every day. And people are gonna doubt you, people are gonna hate on you, people are gonna not be in your corner, but you have to persevere forward. You have to look yourself in the mirror and say, I am, I will, and I must. You cannot give up because this shit out here, this world is not here to help you, it's here to hinder you, but your mindset has to change. That's another big thing. You've got to change your fucking mindset. And I know it sounds harsh, but guess what? Once you change your mindset, once you tap into you, yourself, it's not about your kids, you know, it's not about your mom, your dad, your brothers, or your sisters uh supporting you, it's you. Because if you do the thing that others are reluctant or scared to do, guess what? You become him, her, them, they are looking at you to say, How did you do it? And you tell them, hey, had to make it happen. I changed my mindset. I took the necessary steps to not only heal from either a broken heart or I didn't get the job that I wanted, or I didn't make the team that I wanted to play for, or I didn't get the shoes that I wanted, because guess what? One day you're gonna be able to get all of that, and all that they're gonna be eaten out of your hand. This is to encourage you, this is to motivate you, this is to tell you, get out of feeling sorry for yourself, get out from looking that help is just, oh well, nobody's helping me, and this, why, and the third. And guess what? They won't. Because guess why? They wanna see you either fail or they're looking to see how uh are you gonna stay stuck, how you're gonna make it. And when you make it through and you break through that thing, listen, it's gonna feel great on the other side. It is. It is just to motivate you. This is to stimulate you, this is to let you know. Keep using these models and keep up the momentum. You're doing it. Nobody else is doing a good job, but sure, you got this. And once you lock in, lock in. Hone it. Own it. So you can show up and show out and show the betterment or the better self of who you are. And it's not easy. I'm not gonna tell you this is easy because this podcast game is relentless. It's like they're gonna say, oh, it's over saturated, oh, everybody's got a podcast. Ain't nobody got no real shitless talk podcast, but me. That's me. I own that name. You feel me? And I just wanna say thank you again for watching. Thank you for paying attention. Thank you for just giving me. The moment to share my intellect or my concept or models with you. And it's these things that are going to keep me building my momentum. It's going to be these things that help me be more aligned with myself and my calling. And guess what? I'm going to venture into other things. And like, hey, this podcast, I'm going to keep going. I'm going to keep doing the thing that I enjoy with a passion. Doing the thing that makes me happy. The thing that gets me up. And even when I don't feel like doing it, I'm doing the damn thing. And you can too.
