Hey guys, listen, this is JR again back at it. Listen, here's an update, man. Let's just get into it. Some things that I am working on right now that I can say, you know, I'm proud. I'm proud of myself. I can honestly say, listen, I am on just like getting into season three of my podcast journey. It has been really good to me. It has been some good times. It has been some trying times. And I'm happy and glad I became a podcaster. And I'll tell you why. Because with what I'm doing right now, I'm talking to you. I've been able to travel the 50 states. And I'm on probably about like right now, and I got a few more states to go to because I haven't been to Ohio. However, podcasting have taken me to some good places. And I've done some awesome and fire podcasts. I was able to go viral several to good times on my pod. I've had some slip-ups. I've had some malfunctions and different things of that nature. But listen, I'm here to tell you that you are doing and you can do the thing that you want to do. You just have to put systems in place. Put systems in place plus strategy. And listen, you will get there. And like I say, when this podcast game, listen, I started struggling out struggling. I didn't know what to do. I was dropping every two weeks. I went under a mentorship under Brendan Boyd, David Shans, Rich, real big, uh, real bad money rich. Um shoot. Listen, they taught me some things and got had like some trouble starting because it was about money. I was like, oh, this is gonna be making money? Oh, this is the way you make money? No. This is where you get in the rooms and you make networking friends and colleagues and you network, and this is where you start. And not everybody is successful in being a podcaster, and not everybody's meant to be podcasters or to be podcasting at all. But I say you this, man, I was able to do this and lock in. And with the strategies and systems that were taught along the coaching, the mentoring, and different things along that way. Listen, let me tell you. Not only did I get like the growth and got to be in some of the most world-renowned studios to record my podcast, I've actually was able to get up to like, what is it? Over 2,000 downloads and still growing. I am in Asia, India, London. Shoot, man, I'm in 37 of the 50 states. I didn't see that coming, but it came. But systems and strategy is what got me there, and listening to those who have been there and were going there. And there's a difference between having a business and being a business owner. I thought if you had LFC and you know, you call yourself a business, that was it. No. It takes time, it doesn't happen overnight. And this is why I'm saying systems and strategies help you build the brand that you're building, whatever that might be. Remember, systems and strategies. And along this journey of me doing the thing that I wanted to do, or just it was bestowed upon me actually. Because I asked God about it, and this is what fell into my lap, and I enjoy podcasting. I love it. I wish I had learned this early on, so I would have built this sooner. But I'd say this: I am proud and I'm happy that I built it. I am more than grateful and want to keep on going. And I still got some more systems and strategies of things that I gotta learn. I will forever be a student of the game and podcasting, and you will too if you become a podcaster, if you become an actor, dancer, public speaker, or whatever. However, you choose to do it, turn that hustle into a drive, into a grind, into like the grit, and like practice. Ask for help. This is not a one-army team. When I tell you you can do this, you can. You will and you must. So just to share some other things that happened along the way in my podcast journey. I got to meet some good people. I'm still gonna get these interviews. I got more people to interview. It's coming up, and I'm and I'm not gonna stop. I'm gonna keep going. And I'm gonna use this to build more on my platform and be able to interview bigger and better people. Or more interesting and exclusive people. That's where I'm going at. So, in this journey of my podcast, guys, let me say this. I was able to build a brand, and my logo, you know, I'm the host of JR of Real Shitless Talk Podcast. And when you look at my logo, it's fire. It's the best logo ever. And I would say that I was a little nervous at first, but then I learned to get better. I learned to have confidence. I learned that I had to build a have a system in place with a strategy, listen to my coaches and my mentors, and start building. As I build, I built an accountability uh workbook, and I've also built a program called the Accelerator, I mean Accountability Accelerator Program. It's a three-week program, and I got a, you know, if you want, if you need it, I got the five-week program. But I was able to build this thing, and it's been in the works for a long time. But I was able to build it, and I did my first one last year. Um for like what 90 days I did that joint, and then I turned around and like I just kept podcasting, I kept podcasting, and I kept doing the thing. And yes, I had it. I I like at that time, like I was working like two, two, three jobs at that time, and then I got down to just one job, and then just two jobs, and then one job like that. And I'm not saying that you cannot make money in podcasting, but it, you know, you gotta fill in the gaps. That's that's what it is. There's always room in the gaps to fill in, especially when you have other obligations, but you have to believe in the thing that you want to do. And listen, I wouldn't have built that digital product, I wouldn't have started that program if it wasn't for the early mentoring and different things of that nature from the grades. And I'm gonna continue on building. I got more things to do, I've got a lot going on. And to add to that, listen, not only I build a digital product, I got an accelerated accountability program, I got a new book, my first book coming out, guys. And part of, like said, me and my partner in crime over here built another program called Driven. In the sense of these things like were built to help people. Like, I've always wanted to help people who help me and also be a help like to society. And if anything, in podcasting, what it's taught me to do is that give back. And in this building stages and this everything, listen, I we me and the crew we built pod peeps. It was good. We get, I think we did about two to three runs. Awesome, amazing. Shout out Tevin with the camera work. He listened he that's that's the GOAT when it comes to filming, photography, picturing, mixing, mastering, everything you need. That's the gotta go to right there. And I'm just saying that I'm great and I'm fortunate, and I had to learn about systems. And I I had a very even a lesson the other day, guys, check this out. Tell me why I ended up having to build a system that I was reluctant not to learn how to build, and it was a CRM system. Well, the funnel that uses the CRM system, and I ain't listen, let me tell you something. I didn't want to learn how to do that joint. I was like, this shit is for the birds. But I'll tell you one thing that changed once I built the program for myself from scratch. Listen, it was hard and gruesome. Excuse me. And as I built it, listen, some things failed and I was mad. Some things didn't get like I didn't save the right document. And listen, listen, one thing after another, it was just failing. But I actually got to learn and see what it takes and systems that like you would pay somebody to do, but if you don't know how to do it yourself, then just paying somebody and there ain't no money, real money coming through right now. Or it's tight times, you need to learn. And it wasn't until I actually sat down and did it in YouTube university and built it, and I turned and I was like, wow, guess what? I need to I need to get back in, need to get back into learning and be willing to learn. And that's one of the things too. I had to be willing to learn. It wasn't until I had to actually do this all by myself and get it done that I actually see what it takes. Again, it was a life lesson. Like I said, I'll forever be a student in the game of learning of how to execute and get things done. And when there's a will, there's a way. And that's my point. I built it, and guess what? My emails didn't go through automatically. And I was so mad, but I knew why. And I figured it out. And this is all a part about entrepreneurship. This is a part about living life. It's about always the journey of evolving and not trying to just run through things. And so, systems and strategies is the thing that's going to take you far in life. Respect people and network. Like, say, podcasts has put me in the rooms with the heavy hitters, the heavy entrepreneurs, the heavy doers and movers and shakers. And I would just say that you can do it. You will do it, and you must do it. I had to, and I'm still going to keep going. I'm still going to keep grinding. And I will be on top of the greats with them in the race. Being as good as I can get and still being willing to learn to do the thing that I love to do in podcasting, writing my book. Let's see, I even got into working on becoming an MC for hosting and a public speaker and different things of that nature. So all I'm saying is that the road is not over. You listening to this pod, I thank you. You sharing this with another friend, I thank you again, or family member, I would say, don't give up. I would tell you that even though life gives you lemons, don't be a sour patch about it. Take that lemon, make lemon meringue pie, make a lemon garden, grow you some lemons, make your lemonade stand, sell lemon, uh lemon drops, like the organic lemon drops, make um lemon lip balm. Take that lemon and use it for what it's worth, in the sense of there's more than one way to peel a lemon, as I say, or to skin a cat, to say. But also utilize what you have in front of you. And even when times are hard, even when belief seems unbelievable, and it's making you so uncomfortable, listen, get ready to be uncomfortable. So when you so when it's time to get comfortable, you've done the work, you've stuck it out, you've seen what it takes and what the hard, gruesome world is doing, and whatever they're going through. It affects you, but nothing more affects you than not having systems and strategies in place. You have to be willing to go the extra mile for the thing that you want. You have to be willing to take the risk in everything that you do. Family sometimes won't help you. Sometimes family just wants you to suffer. Sometimes things don't happen because it's not your time. Not everything is for everybody, and not everybody's for everything. And when God blesses you or the higher being blesses you, listen, take it, run with it. Don't give up. And I would say thank you to everybody. Again, I have to say that, and I'm growing. And I'm getting into season three. I'm about to go into season three, guys. That is the craziest thing. I'm going into season three. What I've also taken heed to, guys, is that tomorrow isn't promise. So get done what you need to get done today. As I rap and talk about my pod and keep dropping these solo episodes, listen, I got so much more to go. You have no idea. And guess what? This is only the beginning. And so I would say go to these podcasts and events. And I'll tell you this. If you can, start your podcast if that's what you want. If you want to dance, go practice being a dancer. Go to go get help and work and build the business how you want. Be intentional about what you're building, what you're doing, and where you're going. Nobody is going to be there to help you all the way through the process. Remember that. It is not easy. It's not for the weak-hearted. It's not for the complainer. It's not for the person to be like, but it was only this. No. You have the opportunity to change your life. You have the opportunity to change your world. Make it happen. Don't think about it. Be about it. As I do these solo episodes, these solo episodes are the episodes to show that not every day you're going to have a guest. Not every day you're going to be wanting to get up and talk in front of a camera, whether it's your phone, whether it's a Sony FX or whatever. Not every day is going to be how you want it to be. Also, just remember this. Start. Don't quit. And if you feel like you're going to quit and you need some accountability, at the bottom, I got a few little links for it to help you out with accountability. I have other folks and other uh parts of the game. If you need something, man, hey, hit the fan mail. Send me something. Talk to me. Communicate. Share with a friend. Tell me what you want to hear or what kind of topics you want me to go over. I'm open to listening, to hearing what you gotta say. Because I actually care about you guys and I actually love y'all for supporting and listening. And shout out to my little people. Shout out them for believing in me. Because listen, if it wasn't for you three, I'll tell you. Some days I just it's a little tough. But daddy loves y'all. And daddy will continue working and making it a better life for you guys. If it's the last thing I ever do. And I would say I didn't always get it right. But daddy loves y'all. I needed y'all to know that. And I and I would say thank you to my family. Thank you to everybody that supported it in any way, shape, fashion, or form. Because if it wasn't for you guys, believe it in me, I had my days, I would quit. But I'm not a quitter. And I rose above it. I'm going to keep rising above it. I'm going to keep going and doing the thing that I love to do. And I'm going to make you guys even prouder. I know proud is not a word, but I'm going to show y'all how much JR has evolved and show you the next level of me. Now, cost me time. Yes. Cost me money. Yes. But you know what? I'm building something. And as this episode drops, I thank each and every one of y'all. And I won't ever stop giving or putting my best foot forward. And again, I got a book coming out. I got my first book, guys. Do you know how serious that is? I don't think you know how serious that is. My first book coming out. And I'm open to, man, so many different opportunities now that I can't even believe where this has taken me and where I'm going with it. So more to come. And you know what? Y'all be looking for season three. I'm going to be popping. I'm going to be him. I'm going for the people who I want to go for in my interviews, and I'm going to get them. And I'm going to have these more um big conversations, bigger conversations. And I'm going to get in the room with these moves and shakers. And listen, thank y'all for listening. Thank you for being a part. Thank you for just doing the thing that took the time to listen to me. And hey, hit my fan mail. Hey, you can support the pod by all means. Hey, if you are any sponsors out there, they need you, need me to represent their brand, let's talk. Let's get it out there. I'm going to put myself out there more. I'm going to get back on my game and letting y'all know that real shit, let's talk podcast is going to the top, and he won't stop. Like hip hop. See how I rhyme there? See what I did there? But I say this. Thank y'all. And I won't forget what I've done, what has been done for me, the people that helped me along the way. So I appreciate y'all. And again, this is JR Real Shit. Let's talk podcast. Listen, send this to somebody. Tell somebody, tell a friend to tell a friend to tell a friend. Tell them, hey, friend, lock in. JR on the mic.
