Powerback 5: What You Think is What You Feel and What You Feel is What You Do
Ohhhh the entrepreneurial brain. I’d place a bet that you have rogue ideas when you’re in the car, shower - or maybe your brain kicks on at the oh-so-convenient hour of 3am. Regardless of when, at some point your brain just hits ya - leaving you in an intense trance mulling over things on repeat.
Sound familiar? Yeah, I know because I’m right there with you. This week I want you to take your #powerback by recognizing your thoughts when they’re happening and rerouting them in the moment. This takes some practice for sure because that rabbit hole of thoughts is real.
It’s easy to go from 100% ok to questioning everything you’ve ever done, simply because you got an email from a pissed off client. Instead of spiraling out of control, take a mental step. Ask yourself what is real and what is true. Remind yourself of the progress you have made, and create a plan on how you’ll handle it.
What you think about yourself and a particular situation dictates how you feel, and how you feel is typically how you’ll react. If you take control of your thoughts, you can take control of the situation.
