Speaker 1:

I've been up and down for so long. Crazy how right can become so wrong. The thoughts in my head Keep me on a constant rollercoaster and I just want some peace. Tonight Feels like my heart done, left me stranded, just floating away on a melody, leaving me to all my tears. I just hope somebody hears and decides to come and rescue me, cause I've been through some pain and the only way to get past the pain are the prayers that pray to keep my sanity. Tell me, have you ever been caught up in your mind, so unaware of time, cause you can't stop thinking, oh, and it feels like You're breaking down inside. You wanna let it ride, ride, but you can't, cause you're overthinking it all. Am I really as good as I think I am, or am I stunting in my mind like they stunting on the ground? Father, please tell me again. Tell me again, cause your voice is so comforting on the days when I'm thinking with it, even after you said that I win. Told me walk bold, cause you're queen and I'm loving how you dream in your representation. No, you ain't perfect, but baby, you gon' make it. Yeah, yeah, baby girl, you gon' make it. So stop overthinking. So stop overthinking.

Speaker 1:

Hi, I'm Pam Gonsolin and I want to welcome you to Overthinker's Anonymous Podcast. This is the final episode of the season, the 60th episode. Wow, can't believe that we're here, and if you have been with me since the beginning, when we ventured out and started this podcast back in February, I want to say a great big thank you to you. Thank you so much. As I said, can't believe that we're here. 16 episodes in Wow, that is awesome. Listen, it's not too late to subscribe to the podcast. Just go to the description box and click on the link provided. I would greatly appreciate it if you did so. So let's get into this final episode of the season.

Speaker 1:

Today, we have come a mighty long way, baby. We've come a long way, baby. We have learned some things, some things about ourselves, some things about why we overthink, some things about others, and all of those things are going to help us now to better navigate our future. Better navigate our future. Did I say future? Yes, future. That's what we're going to talk about today the future, and specifically your future, and specifically your future. Now that we have, hopefully gone through the healing process which was needed for us to be able to get to the root of our overthinking. It is now time to put it all behind us and move forward, move forward. It is time to go forward, move forward, it is time to go forward.

Speaker 1:

We have dealt with the hurt and the pain. We have dealt with the disappointment and disillusionment of life, all of those things that have shook us to our core and have caused us to begin to overthink every single thing in our lives. We have acknowledged it, we have accepted it, we have felt it, we've dealt with our feelings concerning it, we have let it go, dealt with our feelings concerning it, we have let it go, and now the last step is to simply move forward. There's nothing left to do with it, but to move forward. It happened, but now it is in your past. So put it in the rearview mirror and get going. Get going to your future.

Speaker 1:

So you might say well, what does that look like? What does my future look like, and how do I get going towards my future? How do I get going towards a better and a brighter day? I'll tell you how by making a commitment to move forward with a new sense of direction and purpose. Listen, I know that you got banged up. It shook you up quite a bit, but now that you've come through it, you should have a new sense of purpose and direction. You should have a new sense of self and self-assurance. All of it should have given you a new perspective.

Speaker 1:

Why? Because what doesn't kill us can make us better. You ever heard that saying If it doesn't kill us, it makes us better? And so what that means is if it doesn't kill us, if it doesn't stop us, then we can always learn from it. We can always grow from it. You can learn from anything. You can always use something. You can use every adversity as a tool for your growth. You can use it as a tool for your growth. You can learn from it. And yes, even the bad and the messed up things that happen, even the bad and messed up things, can be used as a tool for your growth. You can learn from anything. Even if it's just to learn what not to do next time, even if it's just to learn what not to say, not to do, not to be, you can always learn from it. You can learn from anything. You can learn from anything.

Speaker 1:

It's all how you look at it and what you do with what you see. It's all how you look at it, if you just look at it negatively, then you're not going to see the way that you can possibly use it as a tool for your growth, because it's all about what you do with what you see. So let what you see make you and not let it break you. Let what you see, what you have experienced, what you have gone through, let it make you, but don't let it break you. Let it make you better, a better person, a better spouse, a better mother, a better father, a better friend. Let it make you better, a better employee, a better boss, a better sister or brother. Let it make you better. Don't let it make you better. Don't let it break you, but let it make you better, but let it make you better.

Speaker 1:

So, in moving forward, it's going to involve you creating a vision for the future that you would like to see in your life. What kind of vision do you have for your future? What is it that you see yourself doing, or what is it that you would like to see yourself doing? What is it that you would like to see in your life? What is it? And don't worry about if it's too hard or it's too big or what have you. Don't worry about all of that.

Speaker 1:

But I want you to just get the vision. I want you to just get a vision. I want you to get it in your sight. That's what creating a vision means To get it in your sights, to start looking at it, start focusing on it, shift your focus to it, get it in your sights. Whatever it may be, I want you to get that thing in your sights. And then I want you to get that thing in your sights and then I want you to start taking steps to make that vision a reality, because as long as it stays a vision, it'll never be a reality.

Speaker 1:

But it's got to move from being simply a vision, simply a goal, into becoming a reality. In other words, you're going to have to begin to take the proper steps in order to cause the vision that you're seeing to manifest in your life. It's going to call for you to take some steps. It's going to call for you to do some work. You're going to have to do a little work or do some leg work in order to get it done. So get the vision in front of you.

Speaker 1:

In other words, write the vision, make it plain upon tablets that he or that whoever reads it may run with it and guess what? Even though it may tarry or it may take a while before it comes to pass, wait on it, because it will come to pass, it will come to pass, it will come to pass. So I want you to get a paper and a pencil, a pad Paper and a pen, and I want you to begin to write out the vision that you have for your future. Begin to write out what you would like to see in your future. If you don't have a paper and pen handy, just click on the notes button on your phone or your iPad and just put it in your notes. Your phone is always in your hand, so it'll be easy to quickly refer to it, often right in the palm of your hand. My husband tells me that all the time.

Speaker 1:

Put it in your notes, Put it in your notes so you won't forget it. I want you to put it in your notes, be it the notes on your phone, the notes on your iPad or handwritten notes. Put it in your notes, write it down, make it plain, write it all down so that when you read it, when you read it, you can now guess what run with it, because you know exactly what it is that you want. You know exactly what the goal is that you're trying to achieve. Then you can run with it and guess what?

Speaker 1:

Sometimes it may take a little while before it comes to pass, but wait on it, wait on it, keep striving, keep pushing, keep moving towards it, because it will come to pass. So start setting some goals, start seeking out support to help your vision come to pass. Start seeking out support, start seeking out those that can help you, that can assist you in bringing your vision for your future to pass. Start seeking that out. You know they said seek and you shall find Knock and the door will be open to you. Well, maybe you haven't found the support because you haven't been seeking the support, you haven't been looking for the support. So now that you've got the vision written out, now that you've decided on exactly what it is that you want to see for your future, start seeking out the support to go along with it, to help you, assist you in causing it, your vision, to come to pass. So start seeking out the support, start setting some goals and start engaging in activities that will facilitate your vision. Start engaging in activities that will facilitate your healing. Start engaging in activities that will facilitate your growth, because it's all about growing. It's all about growing and healing and thriving. That's what we're all about.

Speaker 1:

And lastly, don't overthink it. Don't overthink it. Allow yourself I know this is going to be a big one, but you can do it Allow yourself to simply go with the flow. Go with the flow, see, because you've walked through the healing and if you've earnestly and honestly walked through the healing process, then you should be feeling a whole lot better about yourself. You should be feeling a whole lot better about your situation. You should be feeling a whole lot more about your situation. You should be feeling a whole lot more confident and assured. So there will be no need now to overthink and you can allow yourself to just go with the flow. Just go with the flow.

Speaker 1:

And if you mess up, if you make a mistake, if you make a boo-boo oh well, oh well, dust yourself off and try it again. All you got to do is just dust yourself off and try it again. But what if I make a mistake? Well, oh well, we all make mistakes. Nobody's perfect, and we don't expect you to be perfect. And we don't expect you to be perfect and you shouldn't expect you to be perfect. So if you make a mistake, oh well, chalk it up to being human, dust yourself off and try it again. Try it again. Who knows? Try it again. Who knows Guess what? If you go with the flow, you might not make a mistake, but you might just end up With the future that you envisioned. You might just make it. You never know. You might not make it. You never know. You might not make a mistake. You might not mess up, you might not blow it. You might just end up exactly where you want it to be. You might just end up with the very vision that you saw for your future. So just go with the flow. Go with the flow, don't overthink it, don't worry about it. Just go with the flow and see where you end up.

Speaker 1:

And remember I told you, even if you make a mistake, even if you mess up, you can still use that as a learning tool. You can still use that to allow yourself to grow. It can still be used. It won't be a total waste. Maybe all you'll learn is what not to do next time, but you still learn something. You can use everything, your achievements as well as your mistakes. All of it can be used in the grand scheme of life, because it all works together for your good. My, it can all work together for your good.

Speaker 1:

So it has been my pleasure to share this podcast with you and I just hope that you have enjoyed it as much as I have enjoyed doing it. I have enjoyed doing this. This has been a vision that I have had for a long time and I have enjoyed doing it. I have enjoyed seeing it come to pass. It has been a boost in my confidence. It has been a boost in my self-esteem that I've actually done something that I had in my heart and my mind to do. I've actually fulfilled a vision that I saw for myself. You talk about a confidence booster. Watch you're going to see when you're going to begin to write those things out, the vision for your future, when you're going to begin to write it out and you're going to begin to see those things come to pass and you can go back and check them off. Watch how that's going to be a boost of confidence, a boost of energy. It's just going to do something for your whole spirit, soul, body, whole thing. This is going to do something for you. You're going to feel great. Trust me you will. You're going to feel great. You're going to feel absolutely wonderful, wonderful, and then you're going to begin to strive to keep on having that feeling. You're going to begin to strive to continue to experience that feeling over and over and over again, mm-hmm. So, as I said in the beginning, this is the last episode of the season, but I will be back in the fall, my with a brand new season, just for you. I'm going to be back. I'm coming back in the fall. You can look for me around August or September. I will be back with a brand new season for you, just for you. But guess what? This doesn't have to end today.

Speaker 1:

You can go back and listen to each one of the 16 episodes that have been published over and over again. You can play them over and over again. You can refer back to them at times when you're facing any type of hardship and take the steps and walk through to healing. Once again, you can refer back to that. The thing about healing is that it's not always just a one time thing. Sometimes it has to be a continual thing in order for us to walk in harmony in our lives. So now you have a point of reference. You have something that you can go back and refer to when you hit those tough spots. When you hit those hard spots that make you just want to stop, want to quit, want to give up. You've got something that you can go back and refer to. You can play them over and over and walk yourself through healing once again, walk yourself back to a place of wholeness and harmony once again. Gosh, isn't that awesome.

Speaker 1:

So I'm Pam Gonsolin and I want to thank you for joining me and I will see you in the fall for Season 2 of Overthinkers Anonymous, season 2 coming your way August or September. Tba to be announced, but you look out for the announcement. It's going to go over social media. I'm going to send out emails. You're going to see it. I want you to have a great summer, have a great summer and I'll see you back here in the fall. Bye-bye, bye-bye.
