Point 1: Recognize the Pattern!
Truth: You can’t break what you refuse to see.
Recognize the Pattern
Cycles often continue because they go unrecognized or are excused.
Application: Ask yourself, Why does this keep happening? What triggers this? Where does it come from? God reveals that the root is deeper than the surface.
Scriptures:
Lamentations 3:40 – “Let us test and examine our ways, and return to the Lord!”
Jeremiah 17:9–10 – God searches the heart and tests the mind.
Proverbs 28:13 – “Whoever conceals his transgressions will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy.”
Replace the Pattern with Truth
Point 2: Replace the Pattern with Truth!
Truth: Transformation isn’t just stopping bad behavior, but filling your mind and heart with God’s Word. Empty spaces invite old cycles back.
Application: Train your thoughts to align with God’s truth. Replace lies with Scripture.
Scriptures:
Romans 12:2 – Be transformed by the renewal of your mind.
Psalm 119:11 – “I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.”
John 17:17 – “Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth.”
Submit the Cycle to God’s Authority
Point 3: Submit the Cycle to God’s Authority!
Truth: Willpower can break a habit temporarily, but only God’s power destroys the cycle permanently.
Application: Stop trying to fix it in your own strength. Submit it to God. Freedom is found in surrender.

Galatians 5:1 – Stand firm in the freedom Christ gives.
Guard Your Freedom
Point 4: Guard Your Freedom!
Truth: Deliverance is the start, discipline keeps you free. You must guard your heart, walk in obedience, and cut off access points the enemy once used.
Application: Freedom is generational. The choices you make now affect your children, your family, and those connected to you.
Scriptures:
Proverbs 4:23 – Guard your heart, for from it flow the springs of life.
Joshua 24:15 – As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
