If you know you are chosen by God, you must see your life through a different lens. Everything you walk through is shaped by the hand of the One who called you. Every battle, every storm, every pressure, and every opposition is woven into the divine process God uses to form you.

The Role of Satan in God's Plan

When you belong to God, Satan is not the threat you think he is. He becomes a tool that God uses to strengthen you, position you, and prepare you for purpose.

This truth is uncomfortable for some because we have been taught to fear the devil more than we trust God. Yet Scripture repeatedly shows that Satan has limits. He cannot act outside the permission of God.

Biblical Examples of God's Sovereignty

In the book of Job we see this clearly. God set boundaries around Job’s life, and the enemy could only operate inside those boundaries. Job 1:12 says, “And the Lord said to Satan, Behold, all that he has is in your hand, only against him do not stretch out your hand.” This reveals a foundational reality. The devil has no authority over you that God does not allow. God is sovereign over every part of your journey.

The Purpose of Preparation and Pressure

When God chooses you for purpose, preparation becomes unavoidable. Being chosen means being refined. It means being shaped for assignment. It means being set apart so God can work something in you that will later flow through you. Preparation does not feel comfortable, and it does not look convenient. It comes through pressure, adversity, and resistance. Yet all of it is intentional.

Nothing is random. Nothing is wasted. God uses every moment, even the painful ones, to shape you into who you need to become. Romans 8:28 confirms this truth. “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” All things include challenges, setbacks, betrayal, warfare, and spiritual opposition. None of it exists outside God’s control.

This is why Satan cannot be viewed as a threat to the believer who walks in purpose. A threat has power to destroy you. A tool has no power of its own. It becomes useful only when placed in the hands of the one using it.

The Power of Pressure in Spiritual Growth

God will often allow the enemy to apply pressure because pressure forces what is inside of you to come out. Pressure reveals faith. Pressure builds maturity. Pressure exposes weak places. Pressure prepares you to carry weight in the future. Anything God intends to use must be strengthened first, and strength is only built through resistance.

Historical Examples of Resistance Leading to Destiny

Think of how God used Pharaoh in Moses’ life. Pharaoh’s resistance pushed Moses into leadership. Think of Goliath. His intimidation pushed David into destiny. Even Jesus experienced this. Satan’s temptation in the wilderness became part of the preparation for his ministry. God used the enemy to strengthen what was already inside him.

God's Use of the Enemy for Your Growth

Whatever you are battling today, it is not the devil running your life. If you belong to God, the enemy does not lead you or define your outcome. God is using the enemy as a tool to accomplish something deep in you. The resistance you feel is the pressure God is using to align you with your calling. The difficulty you face is shaping your endurance. The warfare around you is sharpening your discernment. The frustration you feel is revealing where God is stretching you.

The Constructive Nature of Suffering

Your current season is not destruction. It is construction.

This is why suffering for a little while never ends in defeat for the believer. First Peter 5:10 says, “And the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.” God uses suffering to restore you. He uses warfare to confirm you. He uses pressure to strengthen you. He uses difficulty to establish you.

Final Encouragement and Assurance

You are being prepared, even when it feels like you are being attacked. You are being positioned, even when it looks like something is coming against you. You are being refined, even when life feels heavy. The devil is not directing your story. God is. And God is using everything the enemy attempts to work against you as the very tool that will build you, mature you, and elevate you.

You are not threatened. You are being prepared.
