The podcast explores two foundational concepts in Scripture: Logos (the written Word of God) and Rhema (the spoken, active Word of God). While Logos provides unchanging, authoritative truth and foundational knowledge, Rhema personalizes Scripture for specific moments and circumstances, bringing transformation and clarity. Believers are encouraged to engage in both realms to anchor their faith, avoid deception, and experience spiritual growth and breakthroughs.

In Scripture, God speaks in more than one way. Not because His voice changes, but because our posture determines how His Word is received. Two foundational concepts help us understand this distinction, the Logos realm and the Rhema realm. Both are vital. Both are powerful. But they function differently in the life of a believer.

The Logos Realm: The Written Word of God

The Logos realm refers to the written Word of God. It is the full counsel of Scripture, preserved, unchanging, authoritative, and available to all. Logos is God’s revealed truth in its complete form. When you open the Bible, study doctrine, learn commandments, and grow in understanding, you are engaging the Logos. This realm establishes foundation. It teaches who God is, how He thinks, what He values, and how His Kingdom operates.

Logos is objective truth. It does not bend to emotion, circumstances, or personal preference. It confronts error, corrects thinking, and trains the believer in righteousness. Without Logos, faith has no anchor. Experience becomes dangerous when it is not grounded in truth. Many believers struggle because they want power without knowledge, encounter without discipline, revelation without responsibility. Logos prevents deception. It guards the believer from spiritual drift.

But Logos alone, if never activated, can remain informational rather than transformational.

The Rhema Realm: The Spoken Word of God

This is where the Rhema realm comes in.

Rhema is the spoken Word of God, applied, personalized, and alive in a specific moment. Rhema is when the Holy Spirit takes what is written and breathes life into it for your situation, your season, your assignment. It is not new revelation outside of Scripture. It is Scripture made present and active in real time.

Rhema happens when a verse you have read many times suddenly pierces your heart. When a passage you know intellectually becomes a directive, a warning, a comfort, or a confirmation. Rhema is God saying, “This is for you, right now.”

Logos is the seed. Rhema is the seed breaking open.

Many believers read Scripture but never experience transformation because they remain in the Logos realm only. Others chase Rhema experiences without Logos grounding and become unstable, emotional, and easily deceived.

The Interplay of Logos and Rhema

God never intended one without the other. Logos establishes truth. Rhema activates it.

Consider this, Satan knows Scripture. He quoted it to Jesus in the wilderness. That was Logos knowledge without submission or relationship. Jesus responded with Logos rightly divided and empowered by the Spirit. His words carried authority because they were both written truth and Spirit led application.

Rhema requires posture. God does not release living words to casual listeners. Rhema is often released in stillness, obedience, hunger, and reverence. It is accessed through prayer, meditation, and surrender. You cannot rush Rhema. You cannot manipulate it. You receive it.

When Rhema speaks, it produces movement. Faith rises. Fear breaks. Direction becomes clear. Strength is imparted. Many breakthroughs do not come because people lack Scripture, but because they lack a present word from God to stand on.

This is why Jesus said, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.” Not merely what was written, but what is proceeding. Ongoing. Alive.

The Logos realm trains you. The Rhema realm transforms you.

Logos builds structure. Rhema ignites fire.

Living in Both Realms

A mature believer learns to live in both. To study deeply. To

listen carefully. To read the Word daily and wait for the Spirit to speak through it.

Conclusion: Aligning with God's Word

When Logos and Rhema align, confusion ends. Faith becomes steady. Authority increases.

God is always speaking. The question is not whether He has spoken, but whether you are positioned to hear when the written Word becomes a living
