SPEAKER_01Every structure is only as strong as its foundation. A beautiful house built on unstable ground will eventually crack under pressure. The same is true of the Christian life. Many believers desire greater faith, stronger prayer, spiritual authority, and deeper intimacy with God, yet neglect the foundational principles that make spiritual growth possible. God does not build mature believers on unstable foundations. He builds them upon truth, obedience, and faithful commitment. These principles are not optional for those who desire to follow Christ. They are the bedrock upon which every healthy believer is established.
Love God First
SPEAKER_01The first commitment is loving God above everything else. Jesus declared that the greatest commandment is to love the Lord with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength. Christianity is not merely following rules or attending church services. It is a relationship built upon wholehearted devotion. Scripture Final Authority
SPEAKER_01place. The second commitment is making God's word the final authority. Opinions change, culture changes, feelings change, God's word does not. A mature believer does not build their life upon emotions or popular ideas, but upon scripture. The Bible is more than inspirational reading. It is God's instruction, correction, wisdom, and revelation for every area of life. A Christian who neglects Scripture will eventually become spiritually unstable because they have removed the very foundation meant to support
Obedience Over Convenience

Obedience often requires sacrifice, humility, and perseverance, but every act of obedience strengthens our spiritual foundation. Lifestyle Repentance

It is the continual posture of allowing God to expose attitudes, motives, and behaviors that do not reflect Christ. Repentance keeps the heart tender and receptive to God's correction. Pride resists conviction, but humility welcomes it because it leads to transformation.
Walk in Forgiveness
SPEAKER_01The fifth commitment is walking in forgiveness. Every believer will experience disappointment, betrayal, and hurt. Refusing to forgive creates spiritual barriers that affect our relationship with God and others. Forgiveness does not excuse wrongdoing, nor does it erase wisdom and healthy boundaries. It simply releases the burden of vengeance into God's hands and frees our own hearts from bitterness.
Stay Teachable

Fruit Not Religion
SPEAKER_01not arrived. The seventh commitment is producing fruit instead of merely appearing religious. Jesus consistently emphasized fruit, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control reveal whether Christ is truly shaping our lives. Gifts may impress people, but fruit reflects character. God desires transformed hearts more than polished appearances.
Persevere Through Storms
SPEAKER_01Finally, every Christian must commit to perseverance. Following Christ is not always easy. There will be seasons of waiting, testing, opposition, and spiritual refinement. Foundations are not proven during calm weather, they are revealed during storms. It is established one decision at a time, choosing truth over deception, obedience over compromise, humility over pride, forgiveness over bitterness, and faith over fear. When these foundational principles become daily commitments rather than occasional practices, the believer becomes spiritually stable regardless of circumstances. Storms may come, trials may shake the world around them, opposition may increase, yet their foundation remains secure because it has been established upon Christ Himself. Every believer must eventually ask one important question Am I building my life on what is temporary, or am I building upon the foundation that can never be shaken?
