"Imagine a world where as an entrepreneur you can actually feel complete and fulfilled and like you've moved the needle at the end of a given day."

What if the reason you're working 60-hour weeks but stuck at the same revenue isn't because you're not working hard enough - but because you're working on the wrong things entirely? Most entrepreneurs are shocked to discover that only 20% of their daily activities actually produce income, which means 80% of their "productive" time is just expensive busy work.

I was trapped in this exact cycle for three years, celebrating $10K quarters while burning myself out. Then a positive pregnancy test forced me to completely reimagine how I work. The result? I now work 24 hours a week and create more revenue than my 60-hour hustle days ever did.

The secret isn't working less - it's working with surgical precision on the activities that actually move the revenue needle. In this video, I'm breaking down my exact Work Quadrant Formula that eliminates overwhelm, ensures every hour you work produces results, and finally gives you that feeling of being "done" at the end of each day (yes, that's actually possible as an entrepreneur).

πŸ”₯ KEY TAKEAWAYS: βœ… The Pareto Principle applied to business activities (20% creates 80% of results) βœ… My exact 4 quadrants that eliminated overwhelm and doubled revenue βœ… How to work 24 hours/week and feel more accomplished than 60+-hour weeks βœ… The project management system that keeps you moving forward βœ… Why "doing more" keeps you stuck in the same revenue bracket

Speaker 1:

Did you know that most entrepreneurs are busy all day long, but only 20% of their work is producing income for them? This video is going to change the game if you fall in that category currently, because I'm going to be using a very interesting principle. I've been applying to my work the Pareto's principle, and this states that 20% of your activities produce 80% of your results, and if there was a way to increase the amount of time that you were actually spending on those types of activities, your results would actually skyrocket and you would break out of the plateau that you are in. So a little bit of a backstory I was stuck at $10,000 quarters, or, if you do the math, around 40 to $50,000 a year for about three years Now. I have always had a big goal of a million-dollar business and I knew, okay, one of those milestones would probably include reaching 10K months. Now, I at first thought I had to do more. So I did more content, I did more outreaches, I put in quantity and I improved the quality a little bit, but mostly just the quantity. Now, what actually happened during that time is I burned out. I wasn't making more money, but I was working more hours and I just thought, okay, I need to roll up my sleeves figuratively and figure this out.

Speaker 1:

So over the last couple of months, I have been figuring out how to split my work into four specific categories that actually produce a result. Now, the reason I was forced to figure this out is because I am pregnant with baby number two and the day in February that I held that positive pregnancy test in my hand, I knew, okay, if I'm going to continue being an exceptional mother, the way that I really want to be and strive to be every day for my toddler and this new baby coming, I'm going to have to figure things out, because if nothing changes, nothing changes, and the definition of insanity is doing things the same way and expecting different results. So, after several months of diving deep into the Prados principle and also what work actually makes a big difference in my business, this is what I came up with. So I'm going to tell you my four categories and then I'm also going to actually give you a framework to figure out your categories so that you really can focus on moving the needle every single day, and I know that what you really want is to buckle your seatbelt at 2.30 pm every day when you go pick up your kids from school and actually figure this out over the summer, so you can do that in September and know that you've actually moved the needle, you've actually created value, not only in your business but in your life, and that all of your hard work is actually moving towards the revenue goals you have, instead of you staying stuck. Okay, you ready to dive in?

Speaker 1:

So my very first category that I focus on is one-on-one sales activities. This category, specifically, is directly income producing. Pretty obviously right, because I'm hopping on sales calls. I am following up with prospects. I also include collaborations like pitching for podcasts, any sort of collaborations that produce a win-win for me and the other business owner. That is in my first quadrant. My second quadrant is client delivery work. So this is where I prepare for cello experiences, literally. This morning, my business partner and I, we were sitting down, we practiced cello for a experience that we're doing tomorrow. We rehearsed for it. This also includes preparing for VIP days, creating curriculum, answering Voxer messages with my clients and hopping on coaching calls, which I'm actually going to be doing immediately after filming this video. That is quadrant number two, and this is directly income producing, because when I serve my clients really well. I not only know better how to create content and how to market to get more of these amazing clients that I have, but I'm also able to take a deeper dive in the concepts that really light me up. And the better the offer is and the better the product is, the easier it is honestly to sell. You feel a conviction, you feel this belief, so it is a directly income producing activity to serve your clients really, really well.

Speaker 1:

Category number three is content creation. Now I have two subcategories for this. The first one is long form content. This is YouTube videos that I then split into four different reels and one quote post each week, and my process for this is I research and write. That usually takes two to four hours. If I'm batch filming two videos a week now and then I film, I can usually film two videos in two hours, sometimes three in two hours, depending on how prepared I am, and then my last step is editing and handing it in to my assistant.

Speaker 1:

Now one of the best decisions I ever made was outsourcing the publishing of content my assistant. She is absolutely amazing. She's probably listening to this part of the video, so thank you. She is incredible because what she does is. She takes this video with a title that I chose, I write the description, I give her everything she needs and then she goes into my podcast hosting platform, youtube channel. The backend, like YouTube studio, she splits it into four different real clips, designs the post for me, like I don't have to do any of that backend work. That way I can save a little bit of time. But if you're a solopreneur, you can probably do this in one other work block. So that's my process for YouTube videos.

Speaker 1:

I also have, then, short form content, which I create on a weekly basis. So I always try to create at least a week ahead for short form content. This is three extra reels. And then I have a new series that started a few weeks ago. It's called words and wisdom Saturdays. So I either share a definition of a word that really resonates in my business or that I want to explain a belief behind, or a quote that is connected to my brand. So that is my third category is content creation. Now you might be thinking okay, you know, what about funnel creation? What about lead magnets? What about webinars? What about all of these different categories that I haven't covered yet? Those are all summarized in my fourth bucket. This fourth bucket is called projects.

Speaker 1:

Now, my brain works a very specific way. I cannot focus on more than one project at a time, maximum two. Now, believe me, I've tried. I have tried setting up a webinar and live launch while creating a freebie, while launching a new podcast. It was so intense I couldn't deliver the quality I wanted to. So now what I do is I have 10 dedicated hours per week out of the 24 hours that I work. So I work six days a week, four hours a day, and I know that I have five two-hour blocks dedicated to projects. So for me, right now, on the docket, I have rewriting my website. I have a private podcast, the flow state formula, which I have mentioned before on this channel. I'm going to make sure that that's linked below that.

Speaker 1:

I am producing a collaboration episode with and I can actually tell you the name, it's already been released by the time this episode comes out. It's with Dr Jen Bourgeois. She is an incredible, incredible woman. She works with nervous system regulation and we collaborated together for this episode. So, as I was filming this particular video on my long-form content filming block, that was the current project on the go. Then I have a workshop. That probably is going to be announced very soon. It's happening in the next little bit, so I'm not going to be announced very soon. It's happening in the next little bit, so I'm not going to give away too much information about that yet.

Speaker 1:

But all of these belong in my fourth bucket, which, when I subtract the 14 hours that the first three buckets take, I have a good 10 hours a week left for this fourth one, and what this really means is that I'm always moving the business forward. I am working on the business, not just in the business, on a consistent basis. Now, the value of splitting my work into these four buckets means I'm not pulled in a million different directions, like so many of the entrepreneurs that come to me. They feel like they are being pulled in. One woman said 572 different directions, cause that was actually the number of to-dos on her to-do list at the time. You know I actually can end my dedicated four hours of work in a given day and feel like I actually finished my to-do list, like imagine a world in which, as an entrepreneur, you can actually feel complete and fulfilled. Which, as an entrepreneur, you can actually feel complete and fulfilled and like you've moved the needle at the end of a given day.

Speaker 1:

Okay, so finally, here is your step-by-step on how to figure this out for yourself. Number one list everything you do in your business. Step two ask yourself does this directly lead to revenue? Step three figure out your focus blocks and assign the categories to them. And step four ruthlessly eliminate, delegate or automate the remaining items. The key really is to be honest about what is in your genius zone versus your zone of excellence, and I have other videos that I will link below for you with information on how to figure this out.

Speaker 1:

And actually, one of the things we do wrong as we go through this process is we play small. So actually, in the next video in this series, I'm gonna go through the things that are holding you back and making you play small and think that you're actually being low risk, when really those are the things keeping you from a business that can thrive. So watch the next video in this series. I will see you there. Now, if you enjoyed this video, definitely hit the subscribe button. This is the kind of action taking based videos that I produce on this channel and share it with a fellow entrepreneur. I want you to be able to pass along the message to somebody who has an idea on their hearts that they really know can impact the world and change how people work. So send this video to somebody who isn't taking full advantage of their potential right now and you will change their business. Okay, see you in the next one.
