So if you've been following the bold action blueprint series how to get out of a revenue plateau, you now have a couple of tools under your tool belt the work quadrant formula, how I actually structure my work to move the needle in just 24 hours a week. You also know the myths you've been believing about taking action and you have the fast and slow framework from video number three. So you are ready to actually see a real life scenario, a process where I applied everything from the last three videos. It's like a case study, but it just kind of happened, so you're going to get to hear that story today. This is exactly the way that I went from a failed webinar to a 10 K weekend to going on a trip that completely changed how I see entrepreneurship. So the reason I made this video is because you're probably thinking at this point, ina, things go wrong. I am about to do a webinar and nobody has signed up. Or maybe you have a lot of people signed up for your last webinar but nobody bought. You know, if you've been in entrepreneurship for about a year or so, that entrepreneurship has a roller coaster of its own, it has a mind of its own and we cannot always control the results. So that is why I'm going to tell you the story of a failed launch and how one mindset shift actually switched it into a revenue breakthrough. It was May 13th, just a few months ago.
Speaker 1:By the time this video is being published, I had just hopped off of Zoom. I had my most successful, most registered for workshop and I thought to myself this is basically guaranteed, that I'm going to make X number of sales. I know my numbers, I know my conversion rates from previous webinars. But what I didn't realize is that this was the moment that I would be tested, that I would be tested in my word of the year faith that I would be tested in my mindset. A week and a half went by. My open cart period ended.
Speaker 1:I wake up Saturday morning just thinking I'm going to be able to do this. What am I even doing? I felt so pathetic, thinking who am I to do this webinar? I prepped for it for two months. I got the highest number of registered and nobody bought. Who am I to continue doing this?
Speaker 1:I told my husband this and he said okay, you have two choices you can quit or you can continue Just like when I almost quit the cello when I was 13 years old, my mom told me okay, you know, you have two choices you can quit or you can continue. And what I realized is if I quit, I wouldn't have a purpose, because really the process is the point, and who I'm becoming in this process matters 10 times more to me than the results itself. So I told my husband okay, I'm going to keep going, keep going here. He told me the number one thing that helped him when he was in sport. He told a story of how he was last in the pack in biathlon. He started when he was 16, when most start when they're six years old. And and he said focus on what you can do and leave the results up to God.
Speaker 1:I decided, okay, that is what I need to do to continue, this word of the year being faith. And this was where the mindset shift really started happening. I started focusing on the game instead of the scoreboard. So think about it like this. Imagine you're an athlete who is playing a team sport. Maybe it's football. Imagine you're playing a team sport. Maybe it's football. Imagine you're watching a team sport. What if each player's eyes were glued to the scoreboard and they were trying to play, thinking that by watching it was going to go up. It would probably not be one of the biggest money-making sports in the USA, let alone one of the most enjoyed sports. They are focused on playing the game and that's what I decided to do. I took frameworks from the slow category in my previous video because I realized, okay, my fast ideas are not getting results yet. It must be a slow category. So if you haven't watched the video, definitely go back. Watch video number three. Come back to this one.
Speaker 1:I started just getting into this rhythm of continuing my routine, continuing building the building blocks to build this business, and what ended up happening is building a foundation for a million dollar idea. So if you've been watching me for a while, you know that in February, I hosted a workshop called the find your million dollar idea workshop. In that workshop, we talked about what is a million dollar idea and some of the filters we need to assess and go through in order to know if something is viable, if something is scalable that really is what a million dollar idea is and, most importantly, we need to know if it's connected to our genius zone and will fulfill the values of our business. So I had this moment. It was a Friday morning, 18 minutes before my son my two-year-old would wake up. I was thinking about the upcoming trip to New York city. We actually just came back last week as I'm filming this, but it was end of May after this failed launch, and I was thinking about the upcoming trip and I realized one of my potential clients, somebody who's been wanting to work with me since January. She lives 40 minutes outside the city and then I realized I have another client who lives another 40 minutes another direction out of the city and I made this list of everybody who lived in the area and I decided I was going to reach out to all of them and send voice messages right then and there to host a VIP day for them. This is a one-on-one experience. You're actually going to hear the woman that I ended up doing a VIP day with. Her interview is going to come out very, very soon here. You're actually going to hear the woman that I ended up doing a VIP day with. Her interview is going to come out very, very soon here. You're going to get to hear her experience.
Speaker 1:But I had this inspired idea it was a Friday morning, 18 minutes before my son would wake up. That is what you call seeing an opportunity. Now, it's also one of those things that, if I were to just write it down on a to-do list, cortisol would enter the equation and I would not have the guts to just send those voice messages right then and there and follow my gut. This is connecting all these principles together. So I'd been following the four-part work quadrant formula, where I worked 24 hours a week, I was focusing on my values of being a present mother, I was taking fast action and trusting my ideas and I was building relationships over the long term. This all accumulated into the 10K weekend that followed. So remember I had the failed launch. This was literally one week after cart closed.
Speaker 1:For that event, I had this idea. I sent the messages and guess what happened? 48 hours later business days, so two business days later. On the following Tuesday morning, my time was sold out, the sale was made, I was completely booked out for the VIP day. If I had not done so, that idea would still be sitting in my head and I would not have the beautiful memories with this new client still be sitting in my head and I would not have the beautiful memories with this new client. I would not have risen to the new level of coach that I am now, after creating an entire VIP day experience for this woman. I would not have the heart for my clients and for my business If I hadn't taken action. It all accumulates and it all creates momentum, and I know that that's something you want. So the craziest part about this that I haven't even mentioned yet is how the 10K weekend came to be Okay.
Speaker 1:So let's backtrack a little bit, review our dates here. So May 13th, I have the failed webinar Failed, meaning I don't get any sales specifically from that event and I close cart. I make that mindset shift of I'm going to trust what I can control, leave the results up to God. Then, friday morning, end of May, last Friday of May, I have this idea Saturday, two people reach out to me and tell me that they want to join a three month coaching engagement. Sunday, people reach out to me and tell me that they want to join a three month coaching engagement. Sunday, I have another person join and the VIP day gets booked. So over the course of two days that one weekend, all of these things happened and it was almost unconnected to that previous webinar.
Speaker 1:Now the moral of the story is this it has to do more with the compound effect of our efforts. So every time that you trust your gut, you take action boldly. We're using the bold action frameworks you've been learning in the series. You work very intentionally on the 20% that's going to move the needle and you focus on your zone of genius. Magic happens, abundance happens, and I am a different person because of going through that. I had to go through the valley. But one thing that I told a client just yesterday who was also in the valley feeling that pain of entrepreneurship is, I told her the valley is where the fruit grows and if you can stick through and you go through the valley, you will get to the other side, where your roots are deeper than any other fruit tree in that valley, where you have watered your genius zone, you have fertilized it and you have focused on what really matters and what will really move the needle, even when it's scary.
Speaker 1:I cannot tell you how high my heart rate went when I sent those voice messages. You probably noticed my aura ring quite large, very noticeable. It told me I was in a stress zone, just where my heart rate goes up a little bit. So it's actually a cool indicator. It's like a physical evidence that I was doing something outside of my comfort zone. Now the other thing is, when you are outside of your comfort zone, you're usually in your zone of genius. Usually, there's obviously some caveats to that.
Speaker 1:Okay, so the mindset shifts that enabled all of this to happen were the following so it was a combination of focusing on my identity, who I am and who I want to be and whose I am over the results. It was faith over fear, so focusing on action as opposed to the results. As you can see, we're not focusing on results here. They come when we do all these things. And then number three was process over outcome, focusing on what I could control meaning the 20% of work that'll move the needle and adrenaline over analysis, moving in that dopamine window instead of overthinking. So this was kind of the case study that ties all these concepts together.
Speaker 1:And what I want you to do is I want you to actually list out the things you consider failures in business. I want you to list it out because the crazy thing is, is your next a breakthrough might be disguised as a failure? I truly thought that that webinar was a failure and if we just look at the numbers. Technically it was, but if I focus on the game instead of the scoreboard, I showed up. I showed up and did what I knew in my heart and my gut I needed to do, and I did it with courage, even though I was scared. You know that saying that's so cliche, courage is not the absence of fear. It is taking action despite it.
Speaker 1:And what I want you to think about is what are those moments that make your heart race? That is actually an inspired idea, hiding behind a veil that you call fear. It's not really fear, it's inspiration. We just need to relabel what those physical symptoms actually mean. So let's say your heart starts beating faster. Is it because you're walking down the aisle or is it because a tiger is chasing you? Your brain doesn't know the difference. Both events are life-changing, but one event is something you look forward to and the other one is something you would dread. Just the fact that your heart is racing doesn't mean that it's a bad thing.
Speaker 1:We often get into this bubble where we think we have to stay safe all the time and, honestly, what this does is it is self-sabotage, because you, my friend, are made for more. You are made for a purpose and there's a psychology behind where you are staying stuck where you don't need to be stuck anymore. So what I want you to do right now, I'm actually going to give make an announcement I wasn't planning on making until August 1st. This video is going out July 28th. Now, if you're watching this much in the future, still click on the link in the description box. Slash the show notes, because this is probably going to be a recurring event.
Speaker 1:I'm going to be announcing something I've been working on for a while. This is one of those things that is part of the slow work quadrant, the slow productivity, and it is called the dream catalyst challenge. I'm going to start hosting these monthly, but if you are watching this and you click on that link, you see a date in the future you can attend. I want you to register for it right now, because this is where we're going to break down the three top hurdles keeping you from taking that bold action and actually changing your business for the better, changing your business into something that can sustain your dreams, can sustain the lifestyle goals you have, that really is connected to your values and allows you to be that woman that you want to be.
Speaker 1:For me personally, I now have a business that allows me to be the mother that I want to be, and I'm not afraid of having more children. This is my second baby. I'm not afraid of that anymore because I know that the systems I've set up can sustain success over time. So you don't even have to be a mom in order to attend this challenge. I just use that as an example, because I know that there are a lot of moms listening to this out there. So register for the challenge. It may not be free forever, but this round it's going to be free. The first 10 people are going to actually get guaranteed coaching on day number two, so save your spot and I will see you in the room.
