Fasting For Your Breakthrough

As we seek strengthen our relationship with God, I implore you to pray before you fast and ask the Holy Spirit to give you wisdom and guidance:

Dear Heavenly Father, I come to You, Lord, with a humble heart and ask You to strengthen me for this battle. Show me what I need to fast, and reveal to me what I need to do before I undertake this time of fasting and prayer. Give me the wisdom and strength to overcome fear of this situation. Go before me and put a hedge of protection over me. Cover me in the blood, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

By adopting a posture of humility in this manner, you open yourself up to receiving profound spiritual insight and a deeper perspective on the world around you. This transformation enables you to become more aware, vigilant, and fully present in your life, similar to that of Rahab. 

Rahab’s choice to hide the Israelite spies was not merely an act of survival; it was indicative of her courageous spirit and unwavering loyalty. She recognized the significance of their presence and acted decisively to protect them from imminent danger. 

Through Rahab's example, we see that it is often our willingness to assist others and remain faithful in our promises that can lead us towards safety and blessings, even amid chaos. Her faithfulness allowed her not only to secure her own life but also played a crucial role in the larger narrative of deliverance for many. Thus, when we embrace humility and actively choose integrity like Rahab did, we align ourselves with greater spiritual awareness that guides our journey through life's challenges.

While I cannot claim certainty, my intuition leads me to think that Rahab was actively seeking the favor of the God of Israel in her prayers, imploring Him to protect both herself and her family from the dire consequences that were soon to befall Jericho. It seems plausible that when the two spies entered her territory, she recognized this moment as a divinely orchestrated chance—an answer to her heartfelt supplications—that she had long been hoping for. In light of this perceived opportunity, Rahab did not hesitate to translate her faith into tangible actions; she took decisive steps that reflected her belief in God's mercy and intervention. Her readiness to act upon her faith underscores not only her conviction but also highlights a deeper understanding of divine timing and grace in moments of peril.

This is your opportunity. You’ve been asking for a way out of your situation. Stuck for a long time, you’ve asked for change, but it hasn’t come yet. God is giving you a way out. He’s offering to rescue you and your family, but you have to make a commitment and then be faithful.

You’re going to do it.

You’re not going to fail this time.

God is going to see you through!
