Today we are joined by the fabulous Rip Em who is an incredible drag performer based in Ottawa, Canada. Today Rip Em is sharing their story of overcoming substance abuse, recovering from trauma and showing up as your true self.
Their journey is shaped by strength and hope even when it felt hopeless and how embracing who you are is the key to a happy and fulfilling life. One of the keys that we discuss throughout this episode is community and how we build the ones that help us navigate life with our chosen families and social circles. Rip Em is an activist for LGBTQIA rights and advocates for equality and safety for all within the community.
