 Hi there, friend. I'm Kathleen Fisher, and today we'll be looking at the connection between becoming aligned with God and becoming empowered by Jesus Christ.  

Have you ever found yourself wondering, how can I truly experience the power of Christ in my business so that I can fulfill God's will on this earth?

  Well, today we're going to take a deeper look into Mark 12, 30, to truly understand why Jesus is highlighting God's greatest commandment as the key to becoming empowered by Him to fulfill God's will for you in your business. 

Let's pray and then we'll get started.  

Father God, I thank you that you have filled us with your Holy Spirit.  Made us one with you in Christ.  Thank you also that as we look to you, you will guide us through your spirit to walk in alignment with you so that we can truly experience the leadership of your son Jesus, and the power of your Holy Spirit flowing through us into the work you have called us to do. 

May your name be glorified as we lean in today to ask for your power filled revelation to help us understand the connection between being aligned with you and being empowered by you. We lift this prayer up to you, Father, in the mighty name of your son, Jesus Christ. Amen. 

 All right, let's dive in.  

 Let's start with the story of when Jesus answered my question to the father, father, how do we become empowered by your son to fulfill your will?  It was winter. And the father had called me into a season of resting and receiving from him rather than working on outbound teaching.  A few weeks after the father had spoken to me about his desire for us to not build our businesses out of our own strength, but to build our business out of the power of his son, Jesus Christ

.  was on my prayer mat reading scripture and praying and taking notes in my journal when I felt the presence of Jesus show up to my right.  And it was as if he was looking over my shoulder, watching me work, and he was going to give me this summary statement. And here's what I heard him say.  It all comes down to loving the Lord your God with all your heart.

With all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.  And I sat back on my heels because I didn't expect him to identify this scripture as what it all comes down to. 

So I asked him, Jesus, we all know this scripture.  It's the greatest commandment.  But what does it have to do with. Being empowered to fulfill the Father's will.  And that's when I heard Jesus in the Spirit saying to me,  if you really love God with all of your heart, then you will be willing to let go of your desires, and receive his desires for your business.  Then, he said,  if you truly love the Lord with all your mind, you would be willing to release the negative thoughts of your flesh. And receive God's thoughts,  the mind of Christ. 

And I thought, wow, how often do we hold on to our perception of things? and believe that it's true.  And how often do we allow our negative thoughts to derail us and sabotage our energy and our work in our business?  And what would be  different in our business if we would be willing, because we loved God enough,  To let go of our thinking, our perceptions, and ask the Holy Spirit to govern our minds and fill us with the mind of Christ so that our mind would be aligned with God.

 Jesus definitely had my attention at that point,  so I remember saying to him.  Wow.  And then I said, what about our soul?  What does it mean to love you with all our soul? 

 Because I was thinking, loving God with all my soul meant loving God with my whole being, everything I've got within me. 

 And Jesus said,  if you truly love God with all your soul,  then you would be willing to let go of the ways that you see yourself  and receive  who God sees you as and who he created you to be.  Honestly, I think if I were not already on my knees, this one would have blown me over backwards  because I immediately saw the connection between the negative ways I have seen my own self over time  and how God has worked  to transform my identity of myself to become his identity for me, who he created me to be,  from before time began. 

I was truly in awe of what Jesus had just said to me.  He also added, if you truly love God with all of your strength,  You would be willing to let go of the things that you design to do and receive what he is calling you to do.  Again, I was stunned by Jesus's use of the greatest commandment to highlight to us this profound truth about what loving God with all of our heart, all of our soul, all of our mind really is.

And  what I learned is that when we love God enough to let go of what we are desiring, what we are thinking, what we are believing in our businesses so that we can receive his desires, his truths, his perspective, and his leadership within our business.  Then, we would truly come into an alignment with God  within our hearts, our souls, our minds, and our actions. 

And that's when it occurred to me that when we become aligned with God in this way, we should almost say these ways,  within our hearts, our souls, our minds, and our actions. When we become aligned with God in this way, we will experience the power of Christ. Uh we're  referencing the scripture where Jesus says, I am the vine and you are the branch apart from me being aligned with me, you can accomplish nothing. 

I also began to realize that this alignment has an important key at the base of it.  This alignment with God. is born out of our love for God.  It's not a regimented instruction to do list. It is because of our love for God, that we love God enough to yield what we are holding onto in our fleshly hearts and our fleshly souls and our fleshly minds to yield it all to God, even our actions to yield it to God throughout.

The days of our businesses  and to receive the leadership of the Lord, his desire for our actions, for our thoughts, for the beliefs that we're thinking, the desires that we're desiring  and the way that we see ourselves. And by so loving God that much, we will come into this alignment, this greater oneness with God that then opens the way for Christ to empower us. move us and lead us in the fulfillment of God's will for us and our businesses.  

Are you feeling the power of what Jesus is saying to us through his highlighting of Mark 12 30 to love the Lord our God in this way with all of our hearts, all of our souls, all of our minds, and all of our strength to truly learn to do this.
