Hi there friend. I'm Kathleen Fischer, and today we're going to take a look at something that often causes fear to rise up within us. But it is the very thing that God is calling us to embrace so that we can experience all he has for us. 

That's something, is called "CHANGE". 

Yup. Change. 

Are you feeling God's call to make some changes?

Are such changes causing fear to well up within you?

Well, fear not. You are not alone. 

And today we're going to look at how you can embrace the change that God is calling you into.   

 So let's get started by being honest with each other. 

 Change can feel scary. Daunting. And even downright impossible. 

 It can be hard to imagine what it will be like to go through the change and what life will be like on the other side.  

But, you know, God is nudging you to trust him. 

You know that this change can bring forth the growth you are longing for. And that your business needs.

 And you know, that you can not remain where you are.  

Because change is the pathway into all God has created us to be, and all he is calling us to do.

 So while we may be tempted to resist it, god is inviting us to embrace his call to change.

  Let's pray. And then we'll begin. 

Heavenly father. We thank you for all that you have created us to be and do here on earth. through your son, Jesus Christ.  

We apologize for looking at the mountains as though our Lord Jesus were not our good shepherd who knows the way through them.  

We apologize for forgetting that you've placed your holy spirit within us to help us and empower us to gain the victory over the changes we need to make.  

We thank you that these obstacles represent opportunities to experience the glory of your son, Jesus Christ within our lives.

 And today father. We ask that you would anoint our time together and to usher in your perspective on the changes we sense you calling us to make.  

Help us to be leave. In the glory of Christ that we will experience on the journey.

 Help us to imagine all the good that you have planned for us along the way and on the other side of the mountain, we are facing.

 Help us to embrace the changes you are calling us to make with faith in all you will do to bring us into the spacious place on the other side. 

 We ask for all these things, Father through the precious name of your son Jesus Christ, our Lord.  Amen.  

Embracing God's call to change is the first step in moving forward into all God has for us. 

So let's listen in to Jesus's words to Martha at Lazarus's tomb in John 11:40, when he said, "Did I not say to you that if you believe you will see the glory of God."

 And how about Jesus, his words to his disciples in Matthew 17:20, when he said "for truly, I say to you. If you have faith, the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain move from here to there and it will move. And nothing will be impossible for you."  

Honestly. The entire Bible points to the invitation from God for us to transform our lives from being hindered by the challenges we face, to lives that are gloriously empowered by God to do amazing things.  

So let's consider the problem that often comes up as we seek to grow our businesses.

 That problem is our need to navigate the changes necessary for us to become the women we were created to be, and the changes needed for our business to grow and succeed.

 Perhaps it's a new tool we have to learn, or a skill that we have not ever been good at, or a life-changing pattern that we need to make, or perhaps a project that looks like Mount Everest. 

 Whatever it is. When it is holding us back from all that God has prepared for us, he will invite us to lean into him to make some changes.

 In essence, to grow.  Perhaps you sense it, but you've been avoiding it.  Maybe you've been seeking every possible way to not deal with the prospect of making changes. 

Even though those changes would make things better.  It just feels like too much to go through.  

Perhaps you're even angry change is necessary to fulfill God's call for your life and business.  Shouldn't the Lord make things easier?   Have you ever asked? Why is he requiring me to change and grow to experience success in the very thing he's called me to do. 

 Oh, sister. I know that conversation with God more than I care to admit.  

I've had it hundreds of times. 

That's why I can speak to you today on the importance and power of embracing God's invitation to change. Because I have been there.

 I know the fear. The overwhelm and the doubt that can rise up to convince us that change is even possible. 

 Here's a little example.  One of the greatest challenges I've faced in growing my business. Has been to become accustomed to creating content for social media, where God has called me to share the wisdom. He's given me.  

While sharing is relatively easy for me when I am teaching in front of people. It has been incredibly challenging for me to share this same wisdom to the unknown audiences found in the social media world. 

 I like to see the faces of those I'm speaking to. I like to directly engage with them while I speak or coach.

 So the idea of speaking to a green.at the top of my computer screen, while creating a video for YouTube. We're speaking into my phone for reel, or create an email for people that I'm not yet fully familiar with has been akin to crossing the Sahara without a camel or climbing Mount Everest without a guide.  

This challenge was so great for me when I first began my business that I fell into the dark hole of writer's block and shut my business down. 

Yup. Even though it was clear that God had empowered my coaching with his holy spirit. And that I was created to train women in the practical skills, needed to walk with God and be productive. 

When it came to sharing with an unknown and unseen public audience. 

Huh? Well, the change felt too daunting.  I let it become too big. And it became impossible. 

 So in spite of my certifications, I walked away from coaching and training for years. 

 It literally broke my heart. For, I knew I was created to coach and teach. 

 And thus began a journey of learning what it looks like to hear God's call to trust him, to empower us to change and grow, so that God's will, can be accomplished through our lives.

 It was a journey of learning how to lean into Jesus, to gain the victory over every challenge when it comes to fulfilling God's will. 

And it was a journey of discovery that every obstacle is actually an opportunity to experience the glory of Christ. 

 While I don't have time to share the whole story today, it is out of this experience with Christ that I can say with all sincerity to you, my sister, that if God is calling you to make a change so that you and your business can grow, then you can count on the words of God spoken to us through Isaiah 41:10.  "Fear not. For, I am with you. Be not dismayed. For, I am your God. I will strengthen you. Surely I will help you.  I will uphold you with my victorious right hand."  

For with Christ, nothing is impossible. 

And with God, all things are possible. 

 

So let's do this together.  Let's start the journey of change here. Today. By deciding that we will embrace God's call to change,  so that by faith in Christ and partnership with him we and our businesses will grow to become all that God has created us to be.  

Let's decide. To allow the spirit of Christ Jesus to set us free from the power of sin and death that seeks to hold us back. 

  Let's fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who will help us cast off everything that hinders us so that we may run the race with perseverance. 

 If you're ready to embrace, God's call to change, then begin by declaring out loud to God. To yourself and to all the forces of evil who would like to hinder you by praying with me now. 

 

Dear Lord, I have decided to embrace your call to change.  I commit myself to partner with Christ. And the holy spirit in every step of the journey ahead.  I thank you, Lord, for how you will be with me, and for your commitment to help me in all I do.  I lift this commitment before you. In the mighty name and blood. Of Jesus Christ. 

The Lord.  Amen.  

Congratulations. You have positioned yourself within Christ for the journey of change ahead.

  As you continue to move forward, I'd like to pray some words over you to help you stay the course. 

 May you recognize the importance of God's call to change so that you and your business can become all you were created to be. 

 May you remember Christ's promise to be with you and the power of his holy spirit to be your helper. 

 May you fix your eyes on Jesus. Each day. All day. Inviting him to govern your mind, to be Lord of your heart.  To renew your soul. And to guide your every step as you look to him in all things.  

May you set your mind on things above. Where you're already seated and complete with Christ in the heavenly realms.  

May you not look to your own understanding? But rather acknowledge God in all your ways. So that he may direct your path.  

May you not lose hope. As you join with Paul in pressing forward to grab a hold of everything for which Christ has taken ahold of you. 

 And may you partner with other women who are also being called to change and grow so that together, you can experience all that God has for you.

 Father God thank you that you have not left us here to try to fulfill your will out of the weakness of our flesh. Rather you are inviting us to experience the power and glory of Christ in the midst of our stories. 

 We thank you, that you understand how hard it can be for us to face the changes you are calling us to make. 

But you were the God of all compassion who comforts us in our trials and empowers us through your holy spirit to accomplish all you invite us into.

 Strengthen our faith in Christ.  

Embolden, our hearts to believe in your commitment to be with us, and to help us as we seek to fulfill your will on earth as it is in heaven. 

 Fill us with the joy and wonder of your presence throughout our days, that we may come to know you and love you with all our hearts, all our souls. All our minds and all our strength. 

 We asked for all these things through your precious son, Jesus Christ.
