I look forward to helping YOU become a Christ-Empowered Entrepreneur and Leader.

Hey there, friend. I'm Kathleen Fisher and I'm delighted to have you with me today.

Now, today's topic might sound heavy to some, but it doesn't have to be.

Here's the truth, spiritual warfare is real.. But we've already been given the fullness of victory over all spiritual forces of darkness through Jesus Christ who defeated them completely through his death and resurrection.

There are entire books written on this topic, but today we are going to take a crisp, focused look at how it shows up in our businesses, and the clear steps God has given us to walk in the victory he has for us.

So take a nice breath. Settle in and let's get you prepared to experience Christ's victory over the enemy schemes to stop the powerful work God has for you to do.

Let's pray and then we'll dive in.

Heavenly Father, we give you all the glory, honor and praise as the most high God of all the universe filled with love, compassion, and grace for your beloved children.

Thank you that you have made us one with you in Christ.

Thank you that this means we carry the fullness of Christ's authority and power to defeat the enemy schemes and to move with Christ in the work you've called us to do.

Cover us in the blood of your son Jesus, as we look at this topic.

Anoint my heart and the words of my mouth, so they may bring your good news and equip your children to walk in victory.

Refresh us with your Holy Spirit and transform our lives so that we may walk victoriously in the power of your name to fulfill your will on the earth.

We thank you for all you will do as we lean into you today.

For it is in the precious name of your son, Jesus, that we pray. Amen.

Okay, let's start with a little backstory.

When I first responded to the father's call to educate, equip and encourage his daughters to walk in the power of Christ and fulfill his will, I felt both excitement and fear.

I understood the problem he was highlighting of our struggle when we try to fulfill God's will in our own strength, and I knew that training wasn't readily available in the business sector on how to truly walk in the power of Jesus Christ.

Yet the call wasn't what I had expected, and I felt small and intimidated by all that would be required.

Add to that, the echoing words of my high achieving stepfather, who consistently treated me as small and insignificant, loving to declare that no one will ever want to hear what you have to say.

I could relate to Moses' reluctance, to Gideon's hesitation, and to others in scripture who felt unqualified.

But I knew beyond the shadow of a doubt that God had just placed a call on my life and that that call was designed to be accomplished through Christ.

So by faith I stepped out.

It didn't take long for the enemy to hit me right where I was weak.

With every new event or public endeavor came confusion, fear, doubt, overwhelm, plus relational tensions, voices of naysayers, and even physical challenges from tech failures to illness.

But the Lord was with me.

He showed me how to recognize the enemy, how to become the woman he created me to be, to take my stand and to win the battle.

Over time, he taught me to work offensively to clear away the spaces where the enemy had a foothold, and to arm myself in Christ before the enemy had a chance to attack.

As I learned to lean into my identity in Christ, something shifted.

The battles became an opportunity for Christ to make me stronger, steadier, and more agile in him.

The result: the skills, confidence, peace, and power of Christ that now frees me from the enemy schemes and courageously moves me forward in God's work.

My dear friend, god wants the same victory for you.

That's why today I'm going to share the steps I learned to remove enemy strongholds, prepare for battle, and walk in the victory Christ gives, no matter what the enemy tries to throw our way.

Let's set the stage with three scriptures that prepare us to stand firm and win the battles through Christ.

1 Peter 5:8. Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy. The devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

Ephesians 6:10-18. The first part of which tells us to be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power, put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes.

Be sure to read the fullness of this scripture beyond this podcast.

James 4:7. Submit yourselves then to God resist the devil and he will flee from you.

Let's now use these scriptures to create a consistent battle plan, to gain the victory over spiritual forces of darkness in the midst of the work God has called us to do.

Number one, be alert.

Recognize the enemy schemes and demolish the strongholds

1 Peter 5:8 reminds us. Be alert. The enemy is real and he is looking for a way to sabotage you and thwart God's plans for you.

But fear not! You hold the power in Christ to defeat the enemy and send him running.

The first key is to become aware of the ways the enemy often attacks.

For example, internal attacks, including waves of fear, doubt, overwhelm, and negative self-talk. These attacks are being launched through the negative thoughts and feelings we are carrying within us.

We are to eradicate these strongholds by partnering with God to identify the lies underneath them, casting them off, and renewing ourselves with God's truth.

This is 2 Corinthians 10:4-5  in action. Demolishing strongholds by taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.

There are also external attacks, often occurring right before a breakthrough or a God appointed event. Things like tech breakdowns, project chaos, and relationship strain seeming to emerge out of nowhere.

But fear not. The key is to be aware that such confusion and chaos is simply the work of the enemy.

Don't become undone by them, but rather take your stand against the devil, not the people. Lean into God and make your request known with continuous Thanksgiving for his faithful promises to provide all you need to accomplish his work. God will be faithful to you as you look to him.

Number two, daily armor preparation.

Ephesians 6 tells us the battle is real, but so is our armor.

And this armor is not symbolic, fluff.

It is God's own strength to make you wise and victorious in the battle.

Each piece, the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, the sword of the spirit.

It's designed to protect you and position you to take your stand in Christ.

This armor creates our offensive strategy long before the enemy tries to attack.

It establishes us in Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit to recognize and defeat the enemy when he comes against us.

Start each day by putting on the armor of God.

By doing so, you no longer step into the world in your own strength, you step into it clothed with the strength and power of God.

Number three, worship brings the victory.

James 4:7 gives us God's strategic steps to win the battle when it arises, submit to God, resist the devil, and he will flee.

Praise, worship and Thanksgiving are our greatest weapons against the enemy.

Here's why, God inhabits the praises of his people.

Our thanksgiving and worship bring forth his presence, but the enemy cannot stand in the presence of God.

Instead, our worship and thanksgiving torments the enemy.

Our worship literally makes him flee.

When the enemy comes against me, I take my stand against him and I begin to worship. As I sing my praises to God, to lighting in his presence, I imagine the enemy hands over his ears shrieking as he flees because he cannot stand the sound of worship, nor survive in the presence of God.

That's why when confusion, chaos or heaviness hits, our greatest strategic move is to take our stand against the enemy, renouncing him in the name of Jesus, and draw near to God through worship, thanksgiving and praise.

One of my favorite ways to worship in the battle is to sing. "I raise a hallelujah" by Bethel music. It shifts the atmosphere in a powerful way and always brings a defeat to the enemy.

So I keep this song handy in my phone, ready to play at a moment's notice.

If you don't have a go-to worship song, choose one today. Something that lifts you instantly into God's glorious and powerful presence. Keep it accessible, so when the attack comes, you can respond without delay.

Precious friend, spiritual warfare can be fierce, but it doesn't have to leave you defeated.

As you: renew your heart and mind with God's truth; put on his armor daily; and fight back with worship, praise and thanksgiving, you'll become strong and victorious to win the battle and walk forward in the peace and power of Christ, fulfilling God's will for your life and business, to his glory and the expansion of his kingdom.

Let's close with prayer.

Lord Jesus, thank you for the victory that you have secured for us. Teach us to stand firm in you to prepare daily and to fight with the weapons you've given us. Truth, faith, worship and prayer. Cover each listener with your protection.

Fill them with your wisdom. Courage. And lead them forward in your power, that together with you, they may fulfill God's will on the earth as it is in heaven to your glory forever and ever. We ask this with Thanksgiving in your precious name, Jesus. Amen.
