Have you ever noticed how quickly one anxious thought can bring a complete halt to your peace, joy, and forward movement?
You start with clarity and excitement—then suddenly your mind feels stronger than your faith—and your energy disappears.
In this episode, Kathleen invites Christian women in business to step out of the pressure of self-performance and into the peace and power of freedom in Christ.
Discover how thanksgiving focused on God’s truth becomes the simple, powerful bridge that carries you off the battlefield of the mind and back into “The Place of Glory” — where Christ’s peace and power flow freely again.
In this episode you’ll learn:
- Why paralyzing thoughts aren’t proof of failure but signals inviting you back to freedom in Christ.
- How the enemy and the flesh pull us into “The Land of I” — and how Christ within leads us back to freedom and confidence.
- The surprisingly simple spiritual practice of thanksgiving and renewal that transforms anxious thinking into peace and renewed clarity.
- A gentle rhythm — A.R.C. (Awareness, Renewal, Committed Action) — from Kathleen’s Christ-Empowered Entrepreneur framework to help you return to peace and move forward again with Christ.
Scripture highlights:
Ephesians 6 – “Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power.”
1 Thessalonians 5:18 – “In everything give thanks.”
James 4:7 – “Submit to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
As you listen, pause to breathe, give thanks for truth, and let Christ’s peace rise within you.
This is the path of renewing your mind in Christ — where freedom isn’t something you strive for, but something already alive in you through Him.
It’s the way of living and working from “The Place of Glory” — the space of divine partnership where God’s power flows through your business and changes everything.

I look forward to helping YOU become a Christ-Empowered Entrepreneur and Leader.
Hi, friend. I'm so glad you're here. Let's settle in for a few moments.
Perhaps grab a warm cup of coffee or tea and pause to take a deep breath.
If you've been feeling stuck in your head lately, spinning in circles of worry, doubt, or frustration.
Perhaps feeling the weight of negative thoughts, draining your energy and stalling your work.
You are not alone.
I've been there too.
And I've learned that God never asks us to fight through it on our own. Rather, he invites us to experience his freedom, a freedom that already belongs to us in Christ.
Last month we talked about the power of who we are in Christ.
This month we are going to experience what happens when that identity becomes the way we think and live.
When we stop trying to manage everything in our flesh and start allowing the glory filled life of Christ within us to bring peace to our hearts and minds, and power to our work.
Wherever you are, I invite you to pause and take a nice deep breath.
We are about to step out of the pressure of self performance, and into the peace of Christ's presence.
Let's begin with prayer.
Heavenly Father, thank you that you have not called us to fulfill your work through our flesh, but through the glory of Christ within us.
Thank you that you invite us to step away from the anxious thoughts of our mind.
And into the flow of Christ's life that you have given to us.
Minister to us Lord, through your Holy Spirit as we take this time to be with you
Renew our hearts and minds with your truth, and show us your path to freedom so that we can walk peacefully and powerfully in oneness with you
We thank you for your presence here and for the freedom you have prepared for us,
for we come before you in the precious name of your son, Jesus. Amen.
You know how it happens.
One moment you're inspired, full of vision, confident that God is leading you.
Then something small shifts.
A delay.
A negative comment
A thought that whispers. Maybe I'm not enough.
Suddenly your heart feels heavy and your mind starts to race.
You begin over analyzing everything, trying to figure out what's gone wrong.
And before you know it, your focus and energy has shifted
Not upward toward God's truth, but downward into self-doubt and worry.
Friend. You're not crazy.
This is the battlefield of the mind where the enemy's lies, and your own striving collide.
But here's the good news.
You are not alone, and you are not powerless.
You are filled with the Holy Spirit and the glory of Christ.
God, never condemns you for the battle in your mind. Rather, he meets you right there and invites you into his freedom.
This freedom comes from his truth.
That you are not alone.
That his power is perfected in your weakness.
And that his spirit and glory live within you.
God isn't asking you to build the business for him
He's inviting you to let Christ's life and glory fill power flow through you to fulfill his will for his business.
Jesus understands the battlefield. He walked this earth and faced every form of temptation and pressure.
That's why in Ephesians 6, he encourages us to be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.
Not our power. His power.
God also gives us the key to freedom In one Thessalonians 5:18.
In everything, give thanks. For this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
It's unexpected, isn't it?
Because when we're struggling, the last thing we feel like doing is giving thanks.
But thanksgiving is the very thing that moves us back into the peace and power of Christ.
This isn't about pretending everything's fine.
And it's not just positive thinking.
It's spiritual realignment - a power filled way to return to the freedom found in God's truth.
Giving thanks to God for who he is and for the truth of your oneness with Christ is the bridge that leads you off the battlefield of the mind and back into the place of glory with Christ.
As you begin to give thanks to God for his truths, you activate his instruction in James 4:7, which teaches us that when we submit to God and resist the devil, the enemy will flee.
As you lean into the power of giving thanks, you'll begin to experience freedom from the lies of the enemy and the weakness of your flesh.
Your mind will awaken to God's truth.
Your heart will settle into Christ's peace.
Your soul will be renewed in the strength of your oneness with him.
This freedom isn't something you strive to feel.
It's the fruit that comes from alignment with Christ through thanksgiving.
Giving thanks is simple, but it's also powerful.
It changes what's happening inside of you.
Science now affirms what scripture has always declared, that we can be transformed by the renewing of our minds, and giving thanks is the path to that renewal.
It unites what we think and believe with God's truth, which ushers in his victorious life within us.
So when you catch yourself spinning in worry or self-doubt and believing the lies of the enemy, pause, turn to God and give thanks to him for his truths.
Here are a few examples you can use.
Lord, thank you that I am never alone. You are always with me.
Thank you that my old sin nature has been crucified with Christ, and I now have your glorious nature living within me.
Thank you for your continual promise to strengthen me, guide me and help me.
Thank you that you establish me in your perfect peace as I set my mind upon you.
Thank you that your power is perfected in my weakness.
Thank you, that the work you've begun in me, you will complete.
Can you feel how giving thanks for these truths shifts something inside?
That's the reorientation. It's the bridge. You're stepping off the battlefield of Satan and the flesh and into the presence of Christ's glory.
This is what God wants for you. It is the freedom that Christ came to give you within himself and his glory.
Friend, when you find yourself weighed down again, because life will come against you. Here is another strategy you can use.
I call this the ARC to Christ Empowered Impact
A. Stands for awareness.
Notice when your thoughts or heart have drifted away from Christ's peace. Awareness is not failure.
It's your invitation back to truth and freedom.
R stands for renewal through realignment.
Pause. Turn your attention to the Lord and give thanks for what is true.
Ask the Holy Spirit to bring revelation of the truth that will set you free.
As you give thanks for the truth. Your heart and mind will realign with the Lord and you will experience his life giving freedom.
C stands for commit to Action with Christ.
From that renewed place, take your next step together with Christ.
Make the call. Write the post. Send the proposal. Or rest as the Lord leads.
This action is not rooted in striving.
It's rooted in Christ, working within you and through you.
Giving thanks is a continual rhythm of renewal, rather than a one-time fix.
It's how we stay vibrant in the flow of Christ's glory throughout each and every day.
Before we close our time together, take a moment to pause with me to imagine...
a flower pushing up through hard soil.
The soil represents the resistance we all face.
The distractions, the lies, our weakness and the demands of life.
But the flower doesn't argue with the dirt.
It doesn't look down at what's heavy.
It stays focused on the light above responding to the warmth that draws it upward, allowing the glory within it to burst forth in spite of the obstacles surrounding it.
That's what happens when you live in continual Thanksgiving.
Your focus stays on the glory of Christ. His life within you lifts you up.
And even through tough conditions, the beauty of what he's planted in you comes forth, vibrant, colorful, and full of life.
Friend, what a gift This is God's simple, powerful path to freedom and forward movement in Christ.
Through thanksgiving to God, we are continually renewed, continually realigned, and continually empowered by the glory of Christ within us.
So this month, practice giving thanks to God.
Notice when your thoughts drift and your heart constricts.
When it does, pause.
Give thanks to God for his truths, and watch how his peace returns and his glorious strength lifts you up into his freedom.
Let's pray.
Father God, thank you for your incredible mercy and wisdom.
Thank you for showing us that freedom isn't far away. It's already within us through Christ. Teach us to recognize when we've agreed with the lies of the enemy, or drifted into the weakness of our flesh, and to return quickly to the truth through Thanksgiving and our oneness with you.
Thank you that your peace renews our hearts, our souls, our minds, and our work.
May you forever be praised for this glorious path to freedom through thanksgiving.
We lift our hearts before you in the precious name of your son, Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
