 Hi, friend. I'm so glad you're here.

Let's settle in for a few moments. Maybe grab something warm and cozy and just take a breath.

While December is the month I'm recording this podcast, God's renewal is for every month of the year.

So let's lean in to receive the amazing renewal he has for us.

Let's start by being honest.

Life, and especially the busyness of year end, has a way of stirring everything up at once, doesn't it?

You're leading a business.

You're tending to your people, your home, your responsibilities.

And then a wave comes rushing in, that threatens to wipe you out.

Maybe it's the holiday swirl.

Maybe it's a family, personal, or business crisis.

Perhaps it's simply the burden of long months without any true rest.

All you know is you're longing for renewal and you're not sure where or how to receive it.

I understand that deeply.

For many years in my business, I felt the weight of all that needed to be done.

The longing for things to move faster.

And the quiet ache for a better way to build a business that didn't leave me swallowed up by the relentless pull of this world's ways.

I knew Christ lived within me.

I knew I was one with God through him.

But I often found myself pleading with him to help me fulfill the father's will.

I could feel something was off.

But I didn't yet know what it was, until the Lord opened my eyes to a deeper truth that brought a renewal I didn't even know existed.

That truth, and the renewal it brings, is what we are stepping into today.

So let's pray and then experience God's glorious renewal together.

Heavenly Father, thank you that you understand our hearts and the struggles we face on this earth.

Thank you for your compassion and for sending your precious son, Jesus, as the gift who saves us from our brokenness.

Lift the weights of this world and restore our souls to oneness with you.

Use this time today, Lord, to bring the renewal we long for and that you are eager to give.

We pray this through your son, Jesus Christ, our Lord.

Amen.

Let's face it, one of the most challenging realities for Christian women in business is that we live in two worlds at once.

The world around us; busy, urgent, noisy, demanding, always suggesting that our worth, safety, and success depend on how much we produce and how well we keep up.

Then the world within us; the life of Christ living inside of us.

Whispering.

Fear not for I am with you.

You have already been made complete in me.

I will fulfill the father's will through you as you abide in me.

This realm is so different from the world around us that we can wonder how we will ever live the life God has truly called us to here on Earth.

But that is exactly what he intends.

Amidst the brokenness of this world and the challenges we face, God intends for us to live and work from the place of glory in Christ.

You may know this. You may feel it. You may see the truth of it in your heart.

But when the world gets loud, schedules get full and burdens weigh heavy.

Our hearts get pulled off center.

We don't choose it.

It simply happens in the swirl of life and business.

The pressure rises.

The to-dos multiply.

Our thoughts, race.

Our soul tightens.

And fatigue begins to wear us down.

We find ourselves wondering,

"How will I ever fulfill what God has placed in my heart?"

"Will my weakness derail his call?"

"Where can I go to find the renewal I desperately need?"

And friend, this is exactly where the Father's amazing gift of Jesus Christ meets us.

 Into all that pressure and noise, God speaks a word of breathtaking simplicity.

"I have given you my son."

Not as a supplement to your striving.

Not as a spiritual boost so you can do more.

But as the complete restoration of your soul.

God's son, Jesus, is the indwelling life that reconnects you to God.

And the glory through whom the Father fulfills his will.  

Jesus came as the father's gift to draw you out of the anxious, self-focused strain of this world, and into the security, peace and power that only Christ can give.

This is why Jesus said,

"I am the way"- the way back into oneness with God.

"I am the truth."- The truth that sets your heart free from the world's lies.

"I am the life."- The abundant, unshakeable life your soul was created to experience.

This is God's gift to you, Jesus.

Not something to achieve. But Someone to receive.

And when you pause long enough to remember this, something will shift within you.

Your shoulders lower.

Your breath deepens.

Your heart relaxes.

Your soul is renewed by the King of Kings, your Savior, the gift of God, Jesus Christ.

You awaken to God's truth.

Peace does not come from this world.

Security is never found in earthly outcomes.

Significance cannot be earned by your effort.

It comes from a person, a gift.

Jesus Christ.

This awareness is the beginning of your renewal.

So how do we experience this renewal in the midst of all the demands of business and life?

Not by forcing it.

Not by performing for it.

And not by trying harder.

But by receiving afresh, the gift of oneness with God through Christ.

We receive this gift, by turning our attention back to Jesus, and partaking of what God has already given us.

Emmanuel God with us.

Jesus, the Prince of Peace.

Our Savior and the restorer of our souls.

Renewal comes from abiding with Christ in the many moments of our days.

A personal time of devotion when you arise.

A deep breath that reorients you back to him in the midst of your day.

A hand over your heart as you whisper, "Jesus, thank you that you are here with me."

A moment of gratitude. "Thank you, Lord that you lead me. And I am never alone."

A quiet pause where fear dissolves and his presence renews your soul.

Or a remembrance, a whisper in your kitchen, or while driving or folding laundry that speaks truth to your heart.

"I am not called to carry this world, but to let Christ move through me, into it."

Renewal comes when we remember:

Earthly things cannot bring the peace of Christ.

God does not ask us to fulfill his will through the weakness of our flesh.

It is Christ who fulfills the father's will in us and through us.

This is the path of renewal.

To remember, receive and rejoice.

Remember what's true. You are one with God in Christ.

Receive the gift of his indwelling life.

Rejoice in God's truth, allowing it to renew your heart, soul, and mind.

You don't achieve this. You receive it.

It is the gift that has always been yours.  

This is why Christmas, and truly every day, is so much more than a season of lights and gatherings.

It is the celebration of God's great rescue.

His mercy poured out.

His gift of reconciliation, oneness in a whole new life, freely given to you through Jesus Christ.

A life through which God fulfills his will on the earth through the glory of his son.

A life where:

peace returns

joy awakens,

strength rises,

clarity emerges,

and the weight you've been carrying falls away.

Not because you solved everything.

But because you received afresh, the gift who lives within you, Jesus Christ.

Your savior. Your redeemer.

The only one who can fulfill the father's will.

Precious friend.

If you arrived today, weary, worn out, and longing for renewal,      pray that through these words and God's holy Spirit, the life of Christ has risen afresh within you today, comforting you, restoring you, and empowering you to walk in his victory.

Let's pray.

Father, thank you for the gift of your son, Jesus Christ.

Thank you that through him you have made us one with you for his glory, for our joy, and for the fulfillment of your will on this earth.

Renew us a freshs today as we walk through this world together with you.

We ask this father in the precious name of your son, Jesus Christ, our Lord.

Amen.
