025. What is Obsessive Compulsive Disorder?
Today's discussion is with Dr. Robin Ross,PhD.
Dr. Robin Ross is a clinical psychologist with a private practice in Deerfield where she specializes in anxiety disorders and eating disorders. Dr. Ross has been in practice since 1987. In addition to her work with clients, Robin has taken a leadership role in the professional community. With Dr. Rodney Benson she co-founded a case consultation under the auspices of OCD Midwest for professionals who treat OCD and other anxiety disorders. She was the Chicago Board president of ANAD for 8 years. She served on the Executive Committee of the Heartland Chapter of the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals for 8 years as Vice President, President, then Past President. Dr. Ross also leads the Chicago Area Eating Disorders Network, a group of over 250 area professionals who specialize in treating eating disorders. She hosts 5 meetings a year in which she brings in presenters on topics designed to enhance the work of treating professionals. In 2016 Dr. Ross was given the Compassion Award for her contributions to client care at the annual Gratitude for Giving ceremony. Area professionals nominate and vote for recipients of the awards at this ceremony.
