I brought on my friend Imani Mitchell to unpack the Met Gala, from the fashion highs to the branding lows. She’s the friend I’m always texting during red carpets, analyzing who got it right and who completely missed, so it only made sense to bring our unfiltered convos to The Next Era podcast.

Imani walked us through the theme of Black dandyism and tailored elegance, while I connected the dots between the red carpet and real-world brand strategy. With my background in marketing and entertainment, I couldn’t help but notice how many celebs missed the mark simply because their teams weren’t equipped to manage their image properly.
