Speaker 2Yeah, yeah, he's just doesn't. He's chilling out the fam, he's in the fam so yeah, man.
Speaker 1So what's going on with you? Though you go how you feeling no, I'm good, I'm straight.
Speaker 2This is this. I mean, it's a new experience for us. You know, you know we got, we're rolling, we're rolling just us too, oh yeah, I'm on the camera.
Speaker 1I was just about to say hey, y'all finally get to see eagle ugly ass with the gear gear.
Speaker 2Hey, so we got some new, some more new gear. You know, absolute DMV baseball jerseys. Yes, I'm always going to rock some new shit, so you probably going to be seeing that a lot too as well.
Speaker 1Yeah, we're going to, like I said, we got different types of merch Y'all. Let us know what you see, what, what you like, interested, like, comment, subscribe all that good stuff, man, yeah, so what's up with you though Me, oh me, alright. Well, first of all I'd like to give a shout-out, a special happy birthday to my two brothers. First one, my brother Light Skin Black. Light Skin Black, entertainment. Shout-out to you. Brother Love you. Is he? Light Skin Black? Light Skin Black, entertainment.
Speaker 2Shout out to you brother love you, is he, is he?
Speaker 1Light Skin, black yes, he's Light Skin, black he used to go. He can't just be Light Skin he used to go by DNB, now he has to go by LSB, so it's okay. He runs a business, not Almond Almond Butter, no man my man Light Skin, but he black as hell.
Speaker 2You know what I'm saying? He has that light skin. He has that light skin. What's it called Light skin? What's it called how you carry yourself? He carries himself lighter than what he is oh, no, no, no.
Speaker 1He carries himself darker than what he is.
Speaker 2That's why he black.
Speaker 1That's why he black. You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 2Because he had to tone it down for the business. Yeah, he couldn't add that he couldn't add the l on it.
Speaker 1No, he had to. No, he had to put the lsb because for his business, he's a uh, he's actually one of the best party promoters in the city nice. So he, he throws parties um private parties, and then he throws regular parties at uh in what kind of area, though?
Speaker 1and All over, I mean all over he can be in DC, he can be in Maryland, he can be in VA. Every now and then he throws different— he a man of the people, you know what I'm saying. So he get out there, people's champ, and also shout out to my brother, james Merlin, shout out to you, brother, happy birthday. He probably in Jamaica right now, going crazy, going crazy with his family. But yeah, you know, hey, we out here. But yeah, light Skin Black man, we got to get you on the pod. Yeah, bring him out yo.
Speaker 2We got to get you on the pod brother, everybody from our fam, anybody we represent, oh yeah, I mean, like I said, light-skinned black.
Speaker 1I went out to one of his parties, his birthday party on Friday. Yeah, man, we had a good time. We had a real good time. It was a little bit of a culture shock for me because once again I realize that I'm old. I haven't been out in a minute. You know, I had kids and I felt like club clubbing, yeah, but once a year I always go out party with black ones a year, once a year, that's my, that's my thing, I always got a party black is your limit.
Speaker 1It's not even my limits. My birthday is January 23rd, okay, and his birthday is June 24th, so what happens is I can never get to celebrate my birthday, hmm so, basically, I always celebrate my birthday almost like six months late with him. Hmm so, during the summertime, my birthday is too cold to celebrate, it's always, like this oldest week, save up your ducats.
Speaker 2Not even saving up the, it's just saving up I. But I'm telling you it's just saving up.
Speaker 1I guess my fun ducats.
Speaker 2You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 1I want to make sure that I really get to enjoy my time. Your Chuck E Cheese.
Speaker 2Yeah, you know what I'm saying. Yeah, save my tickets, basically.
Speaker 1You right, you right, you right. So when I get my good prize. But yeah, we went out, man, um yo? U street's a wild place, bro. U street is a wild place, bro. Hold on, hold on. I know you, I know you're getting that, but hold on, hold on. U street is a wild place, bro. So posh, we in posh having a great time. You know, drinks is flowing, people in there doing their thing, hookah, blowing women, everything, nice man. Like I said, it's a little bit of a culture shock for me because I'm used to going out and getting dressed up and I didn't even get dressed up this time, I just had on little t. Now I had on a little button-up jump jeans and a little you know I'm saying and some sneaks went out thinking that you know I'm. I'm Went out thinking that. You know, I went out thinking that I'm chill. Yeah, man, I was out there thinking people's out there in like short shorts, like when I say shorts I mean like sweat shorts.
Speaker 2Like you know what I'm saying? Like fleece shorts, yeah, yeah, like they were like athletic gear.
Speaker 1Athletic gear yeah.
Speaker 2I'm in there going like damn. I could have kept on what I had on earlier With the ball playing.
Speaker 1Yeah, it was like 90 degrees still with the humidity. It was crazy. But man, we in that thing, bro, I forget the DJ's name. I want to shout out to her when I get a chance, though. I mean Black probably shout her out if he come out, yeah. But when I get a chance, though, shout out to her man. She, though, shout out to her man. Yo, she had a time, she had it turnt. I'm telling you, I never realized how much booty shaking music is out there, bro, like like for real, for real. She literally played an hour set of booty shaking music with like little little things sprinkled in, like little of a genre sprinkled in there. I'll go ahead, I go because I'm going to comment on that.
Speaker 1Bro, an hour straight of booty shaking music, and the girls was in there booty shaking. The craziest part to me, though, was dudes were dancing with him, like Black was probably the only person dancing. I mean, he was really enjoying his birthday, he me. We come from an old school time of being able you see a girl shaking that you hop on it. I don't think we can do that anymore. So you know what?
Speaker 1I'm saying me, I sat back and I was just chilling and smoking black. He was having fun on his birthday hopping on some ass, but like it really looked like the club after the me too movement, because it was just like no man was really trying to like get up on a girl and dance with them and they was. They was out there shaking shake I mean, and in some of the skimpiest of clothes.
Speaker 2It was wonderful sights was it, uh, the yammy of them, the yams?
Nightlife and Music Trends
Speaker 1the yam, the? What is the ham Ham on a yammy? What did you say? The ham yammies, ham yammies, bruh, they was out. They was out. I had a great time, man, I enjoyed the sight. Yeah, you were sightseeing.
Speaker 2I'm old now, bro. Sometimes I just like to see what's going on. So that's what I'm going to comment on, that I've been out a little bit more than probably with you because, like I said, I'm a homeboy. We got to hang out, bro, yeah, no, we got to do it.
Speaker 2I mean we got to hang out, because I know that where you hang out is different from where I hang out. So, yeah, where I hang out it's a little bit more gentrified. It's like, okay, so you still got booty meat, you still got things walking around, it's more speed bumps than full on.
Speaker 1No, that's not true. No, I mean speed bumps will still make you stop or still make you pause. It's not an onion that's going to make you cry.
Speaker 2Yeah, you know what I'm saying. It's a mixture. That's the thing about it. It's a gumbo. Okay, you know what I'm saying. You have, it's a gumbo, you get what you get, you know. Say, in the situation you might get, you might get a vegetable and you might get some meat, okay, Paul's.
Speaker 2That no, I hear what you say, I know what you meant, but that sounded crazy, but like you know, so like the area I hang out is, like you know, shout outs to 14th, 14th, and you actually, oh, you up the street. I'm right up the street. I'm down the street. You're a little darker, I'm a little lighter. Yeah, yeah, yeah yeah, I'm near the white meat.
Speaker 1Yeah, you I'm about to say. Isn't that kind of like?
Speaker 2yeah, yeah, you up on the I'm right next to, like the subway, uh, uh, law, society, uh, pretty much the, the bars, bars and um, so the thing about that is it's like the way they carry themselves throughout the city, like all the young environment. It's a younger environment. So, like you dudes walk around literally whatever they feel the fit is nice. That's what I think. Think like they could be wearing like shit. I don't like use that short, short shorts there's a difference between I.
Speaker 1I found this out the other day online that there's a difference between wearing clothes and styling clothes.
Speaker 2Yeah, but yeah, so I guess these guys style their clothes and then they go out I'm so it don't still look like they wearing whatever I'm an old head, I'm aware where I'm comfortable and just in case something pops off, I ain't gonna be like, oh, my pants fell off because this guy, yep, yep but now you were saying we, uh, you, you out there, what's up on the 14th, and you side we got.
Speaker 2So shout out to uh, uh, ghost loz, uh, he, he opened two clubs. He has a club called cloak and dagger and then he also opened a club called Alice Alice on you. And so the thing about it is like those two clubs are similar and different at the same time. Cloak Dagger is the college kind of feel, you know what I'm saying. So you get the younger crowd, of like kind of bar crowd, but then you know, and then the Alice is a little bit more upscale, kind of like dress up a little bit, but still the same. You know how it is, u Street is U Street, you know what I'm saying? So, but then you get like the Asian crowd mixed with a little bit of white mixed black crowd mix a little bit of white mix black. It depends on how the music is played, and that's all I was gonna actually say about the music he's. So everybody's shaking these days, this day and age, women shake to anything I can shake to anything.
Speaker 1I didn't know that there was this much booty shaking music and you know what it was. It was all women rappers. That's the other part. It's kind of the anthem. Yeah, it was like no men. Like back in the day we had 50 Cent, did Disco Inferno. The Little Mamas, show me how you do, Even like down south they had. Tip Drill Ludacris had Pussy Poppin'.
Speaker 2You know what I'm saying All types of stuff that was like you know they were Ludacris, had Cash Money, had some shit, pussy Poppin, yeah, cash Money. You know what I'm saying?
Speaker 1All types of stuff.
Speaker 2That was like. You know, they were ready. You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 1That song called but yeah, but now it's like Men aren't making the strip club anthems anymore. They're not making the booty shaking music, no more, like it's all women making it and and they're killing it. It's magda stallion, the magda stallions, the glorillas, the lottos, the uh uh uh. Cardi b, cardi b's of course, nicky I mean you got, it's just but.
Speaker 1but we're also kind of naming the old people to a certain extent, like there's others that are out there that I, I want to say, but I can, I don't even know if they make the music, I just know the names because it's. You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 2crossing to my ecosystem here and there, yeah, see, that's because you experienced something new.
Speaker 1Yeah, so, just being out, bro, I was just like I was just like I said, it was my first time out all year and I was just trying to see what the fuck was going on and, honestly, honestly it was, it was on my side. It was lovely, bro, like it was straight. I mean, yeah, you had a couple hispanics, a couple whites here and there, but it was mostly black people. Um, they was out there, thing showing love. It was like man, it was crazy, like we out there by there's a, there's a sports bar, nelly's Sports Bar.
Speaker 2Nelly's.
Speaker 1Sports Bar is known as, like I guess, the premier LGBT. It's a gay bar. Yeah, it's a gay bar, so you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 2But everybody goes there. Oh, you were on, you and I 9th and you 9th and you yeah, yeah, that's.
Nightlife Exploration and Observations
Speaker 1So we down there, bro, we come out the club man. I don't know how these Bambas got up on the motherfucking. They got up on the rooftop Like they Bruh gay Bambas twerking on the rooftop, twerking Like no, they going crazy out there. I'm sitting there like, and the police ain't doing nothing, the police just watching Everybody. And the police ain't doing nothing. The police just watching, everybody just watching. It's just to me. I'm looking at it like, oh so, this is regular, like niggas ain't even tripping, everybody just going along with their time, going along with their night Like bruh. It was crazy. And it probably wasn't even crazy. That was the whole part.
Speaker 2It was just, I haven't been out in a year. So I'm going to tell you yeah, you're right, it's actually is crazy Like that area, because I know exactly where you were. I know exactly where you were. It's literally the parking lot pimping. You don't even need to go any club.
Speaker 1No, you don't have to go in.
Speaker 2Yeah, pull up in, your pull up. They have actually this story's on instagram of that, that, that area of jumping on cars, girls twerking off a car.
Speaker 1Yes, they're playing music outside yes, so it was a regular night then. So it was a regular night then, and you know what, though my old ass really enjoyed it, I'm gonna go out one more time, like and the cool thing about it, though, is it make me feel like I don't really got to get dressed up Like honestly, like if I felt like it right now, after these couple of drinks that I had, you might go out there now.
Speaker 2I could go out there.
Speaker 1You know what I'm saying. Like what's up.
Speaker 2That's what I'm saying. Like, I guess, when you go further that way, towards 14, it's definitely a little more I'm not saying not upscale, but it's more like they start dressing up, because then you start seeing people trying to impress a little bit. You have different bars and then there's a lot of bars and a lot of clubs that open up, so they're like competing. So you got like Law Society, you got Cloak Dagger, Alice, you have these other places around or whatever, and then you have regular bars also out and about right on 14th and then you go around the corner of 14th, you have St X and all those other places or whatever. I'm giving all these motherfucking props.
Speaker 1It's not an ad, but shout out to them.
Speaker 2Yeah, you better stop paying me, but I love going out there because as an old head, it's window shopping, not shopping, but more like you just see how people roll, how it used to be Like before. You'd go straight to the club. You'd be there all night Until you get out. You're sweaty like.
Speaker 1No, I mean you don't start parking lot pimping until you needed to start, until the let out Like the last. Yeah until you struck out. No, straight up, it's just, you was in the club, yeah, if you didn't pull what you pulled inside the club. Now you go outside and now you just like all right, well, I got a bottle, I got the J's, whatever who trying, like you said, I guess, yeah, you did strike out enough. So it's last ditch effort, that's what it is.
Speaker 2And you just in that thing and think about it, the way I roll, like when I'm with my boy, like I said, I have the VIP status, so like I don't do I guess I'm sadidium right, he in the VIP, like the VIP, so like I feel, like I don't go and do that parking lot because I don't need to. You know what I'm saying. Like he has, you know what I'm saying, he'll have some people stay or whatever. And that's why I said, when we hang out, you'll start seeing a different. It's a different. It's a different, it's a different beast. See, man, you might like it, you might not. You might be like. This is not straight, bro. I keep it.
Speaker 1I keep it a buck. I used to be a wild dude. I'm light now. You know what I'm saying. I just chill out, just enjoy the scene and see what happens. I don't really partake in the scene anymore, I just like to be there, fly on the wall, enjoying other people having fun Like I'm a voyeur now.
Speaker 2That's what it is I'm the same way, but I more. This is I'm around wild people, so I stay back and just love being part of the scene, but not in the scene man it was.
Speaker 1It was great to see my man black, oh he was, he was he was, he blacking out bro, he act like he was chilling for real, for I think he actually saved saved the night, until you know I what I'm saying like to really get loose, oh yeah, like he saved it for another night. I guess he might have had some responsibilities to handle because, you know, we all fathers or relationships or whatever. We all got responsibilities now.
Speaker 2So he was kind of like I even pulled him to the side.
Speaker 1I asked him. I was like, are you good? Because you ain't, you ain't doing what you just did. Yeah, you be wilding for real, for real, but it was good to see him having a good time. And yeah, man, and, like I said, I might step out one more time for the summer end.
Speaker 2Just to check it out. I mean, I got to come out with you.
Speaker 1Yeah, you coming out, but I mean I got to with him one more time before the summit.
Speaker 2That's my man. You're going to come out with me. That's my man. We're going to do like I said. Maybe this, no, this Saturday, I don't know.
Speaker 1Hey, y'all let us know. Yeah, Because we've been thinking about kind of doing the whole. I don't want to say a live podcast thing, but we want to see if we can you know maybe on a club, let out interview a couple people you know what I'm saying just get, just get some content, touch, touch the people. But you know what I'm saying touch the streets, pause. See who's out there. You know what I'm saying. See what's out there. Just get some stuff. Y'all let us know if y'all be interested in something like that, leave.
Speaker 2Like, hit us up on the dms, uh, hit us up on the comments on our YouTube channel, or whatever. Yeah, like I said, I think the DC area is lit now. It's more lit than it used to be.
Speaker 1You have so many options, bro, the options that was out that I saw. I saw people Six crazy the options that were out when I was out I was just like I was thoroughly impressed, bro. That's all I'm going to say. I was thoroughly impressed.
Speaker 2We are in an era of you didn't show your age. I was like Bro, no, no I just think we are.
Speaker 1I think we're in an era because the women are allowed to be more free yeah, that they are so much more free. I'm scared. No, the women are allowed to be more free yeah, that they are so much more free. I'm scared. Nah, I'm scared, bro. I'm scared of them, but at the same time, I love to. It's almost like going on safari. I don't want to interact with nothing, I just want to see you in your natural habitat, do you baby?
Speaker 2Do you baby, do you baby, dude, dude, all right, I'm just here to see it and take pictures.
Speaker 1Oh my God, Get some memories. I'm seeing it. That's it, bro.
Speaker 2If it was an animation cartoon, I could see this motherfucker. It's like in a truck of motherfuckers and it's like all these little antelopes or whatever, those little Giselles jumping around. He's like ooh, ooh. He's looking around like oh, no, no, no, no, not like that, but I mean it's just experiencing the experience of life. Like I said, it's a different thing of like where we grew up and we can go into another story with that. But yo, I mean you know what I'm saying. Like I said, dc is open for everything. Just like I said, we're here to help out and open it up.
Speaker 1Yo, y'all want to have a good time, come on out. Come on out. U Street is popping. There's a few other places. I mean, if you want to go high to DD, like high to DD, nah, and you want to go to where the ID models are Connecticut. You can go to Rose.
Speaker 2Bowl, rose Bowl. You can definitely go to Rose Bowl.
Speaker 1I'm not going to Rose Bowl. That shit is too much. Hey bro, if you got it, ball out. But if you don't got it, or if you just looking for more bang for your buck, more fun for your buck, I don't know what to call it. Come on down to U Street man, all right, shout out. Light Skin Black, light Skin Black Entertainment. Hit him up on Instagram. See what his party's looking like. If you trying to have a good time, hit my mans up. That is an ad for him. I love you, my nigga.
Speaker 2And shout out Alice. You know what I'm saying. For Cloak Dagger, invite only. Sorry, the last weekend was open to the public, but now invite only. But then we will be partying in Alice. Alice is like video games and shit. They got everything. Come check it out, I'll be there. Hit me up, all right, y'all, absolute DMV.
Speaker 1Y'all have a good one. We'll do better next time. Peace.
