The Nichole Show

Showing Up Imperfectly: A Guided Share on Healing and Holding Space with Nichole Hamilton

Nichole Hamilton Season 2 Episode 6

Ever wondered what it means to truly feel safe in your body?

In this episode, something unexpected happened…

I turned up to record with a guest, and they had the wrong time. So instead of packing up, I sat down and hit record anyway.

What came through was a raw, unfiltered share about energetics, personal growth, and why I started The Kidz Coach.

I talk about my journey from addiction to sobriety, how hypnotherapy and energy work changed everything for me, and why I believe these tools should be made accessible to kids, not just adults.

You’ll hear me speak from the heart about:

  • What hypnotherapy did for my healing
  • How I first felt the pull toward energy work (even before I had the words for it)
  • Why I believe kids need emotional regulation skills, not just diagnoses
  • And I’ll guide you through a short energetic process to help you reconnect with your body and your breath

This one’s a little different. No script. No guest. Just Nichole, showing up imperfectly, with love.

If you’re a parent, carer, or someone who works with children—and you’ve ever felt like something’s missing in the way we support them—this one’s for you.

Hello guys and welcome back to the Nichole Show. And this is a different one because I've rocked up in the studio and for whatever reasons, um, the current podcast guest had the wrong time. So that's all good. But what I decided to do just intuitively is to do some more things on the podcast, not necessarily around guests, but around. The gifts, the skills, and the things that I truly believe that I am put on this earth to serve. And so this is just gonna be a random download of Nichole's thoughts and feelings. Welcome to my space, by the way. So anybody that is watching on YouTube, my beautiful little studio that I have here that we've created in Williston, south Australia. Thank you so much to all the help that we've had from my family, my wife, all the people involved to get us here. It has been a journey. I've recently started with a new coach, so I'm really into talking about my energetics and the way that I got here. But for those, if you're just jumping in on, you know, this episode, a quick synapsis on who I am. I am a mama bear of three, which I'm so proud of. It's probably one of the reasons that I say it first. It doesn't define me, but I'm Nichole. I was born here in Australia. I'm 44 next month, and thank you to my lovely Meg who keeps me looking so beautiful and tight. Um, I was a beauty therapist before, so I actually love being in front of the camera. I love talking. I love being creative. Um, and I'm also a performer as well. So very amateur though. But being in the pole dance scene for a really long time and had a doubles partner there for a while and loved performance and, and little mini competitions. The reason that I created the Nichole Show, and it is gonna diversify. The reason that I created it was because I never wanted anybody to feel alone. And if this, if somebody could tag ashy binds in this, or maybe I'll send it to her. She's been one of the biggest influences on me in regard to. Social media and how I get my authentic message out there. The thing that Ashley had always said was, if this helps one person, then I'm doing my job. And this is a labor of love for me to be able to create the frequencies. I have a, a team behind me, a VA that does all the editing'cause I'm just not tech savvy. But I do love sharing my message through words. It is something that I'm really, really good at. And because I've had amazing coaches along the way, coaches and teachers, I have learned to be able to communicate in a way with love and leadership. And it's something that I'm also really not afraid to go down the, the hard roads, the vulnerable roads, ask the tough questions, hold space for somebody, um, where a lot of people. In my experience when it comes to, to death, to suicide, to drugs, to addiction, to anything sexually, like people kind of back away like, oh, that's past my comfort level. And so for me, I've always had the gift of being totally open. My boundaries are a little wider than others, but I'm also really good at calling people on stuff when a boundary is crossed. So I really just wanted to Yeah. Jump on here and talk a little bit more about maybe where to with the podcast. Uh, we're up to about episode five this year already, and I've got another one coming this week. And it's been a lot of beautiful, uh, coaches, uh, mostly men, actually talking a lot about men's mental health, which has been is, is so important to me, you know. I work with families. I mostly work with the mothers and the children, but the men hold, you know, the other half, the other side, the masculine energy. And when they, you know, deeply connect to their emotional, physical, spiritual needs, mental needs, it's so important because that brings harmony and safety back into a home. If that's the way you're inclined. For those that don't know as well, I have a wife, I'm bisexual, I have an ex-husband, so I, again, the reason that I created the Nichole show was because I feel like I came onto this world and I've pretty well put myself through as many turbulent events and, uh, different experiences as possible. And when you find somebody to connect with and chat to, you really wanna learn from somebody who's kind of been there and done that. It makes for the more authentic and genuine connections. Like, oh my God, if that person can get through ice addiction, or if that person tried this, you know, that's how I've, you know, learned. And same with my different therapists and coaches along the way. I've always like, well, that person's got something that I wanna learn from. Um, diving in, I really haven't talked a lot about. Kids coaching, I believe on this particular podcast. Um, I've done a lot of interviews on other podcasts where I've talked a lot about business and the reason why, but I wanna get into that because I was feeling from my new channeling and my new coaches that that's what I really would love to bring to the waves. And again, would love your insight and, uh, insight and. Perspective or questions as to where you'd like this to go. I have literally put my whole life on here, and when some of you guys meet me or you know, I have phone calls with you and you're like, oh my God, I've been listening to your podcast, it is a little daunting because I do, I put everything that I possibly can teach out here. I do have Aurora on the podcast, or sorry, on the podcast, on my socials a lot. She's our beautiful rainbow baby that I share with Abi. Abi's on my socials a lot and my two older boys, uh, they choose not to, and that is totally their choice. Um, but they, I couldn't be prouder of the two young men that I'm raising along with their, uh, stepparents, you know, Abi and Lorna, and then obviously their dad, Craig, like we have raised really, really good humans. So, but that's their choice. Not to, you know, not to participate too much on socials. I don't ever force anybody to share. What did I wanna talk about today? So, I believe in energetics. I really do, and I something that I didn't know about, so that's where I wanted to go today, more energetics. When I first came into personal development world, the first thing I was thrown into was NLP and hypnotherapy. And hypnotherapy has become my jam. I've studied it over five times with different trainers and got my master's and diploma in hypnotherapy. And there's nothing that I can't hold space for or communicate with because it comes from a channel. And so again, if anybody's watching YouTube, you'll notice I close my eyes. There's something that I've got really good at because out of my head and into my heart and through the channel, and whether you believe that is God, meditation source, pet, your mama, your angels, whatever. There is something about tapping into wisdom that's not buzzing around in the conscious mind. And, um. I am just gonna pause while I let that, uh, come through. The reason that I wanted to talk about it was because the more I practice, it practiced hypnotherapy. When I first got started, all I wanted to do was a bed behind me. I wanted to take my shoes off and put my hands over the top of people, and I had no idea what energetics were, or reiki. I'm a reiki master as well. I didn't understand the connection piece. I am still very, um, uh, colorful, like, you know, um, I love being a girly girl. I, I had a beauty business for 10 years there as well, and for my beauty clients, all I wanted to do was teach them how to relax, what to do, and I intuitively wanted to put my hands over them. That is reiki. That is energetics in my beauty business. Everybody used to say to me, Nichole, I just love coming to you. You make me feel so good. And one of my slogans was making you feel amazing on the inside and out. So I didn't have the qualifications or the idea of what the inside meant until I started studying holistic and personal development philosophies. And for me, that's, you know, helping somebody unpack or find that click that I had found later on in life through hypnotherapy to get me on my journey to sobriety, to bettering myself in my career, in my motherhood, in my language, in my relationships, in my friendships, in every aspect. And so as I started to study, I was like, oh my God, I already knew that I wanted to help people on the inside. Like it's, you are absolute right. To feel the most amazing as you possibly can on this earth side. And when we get stuck in different relationships or beliefs, you know, someone's told us that we look bad or we shouldn't behave that way, or that's disgusting, or you are wrong for that, we internalize all these thoughts and processes and we feel bad about ourself in general. Most humans just wanna be loved. And accepted. I hope you guys can, I don't know if you guys are any My chickens in the background. I have a chicken coop just here. Anyway, that's my ADHD jumping. Most humans just wanna feel loved and accepted and forgiven, like seen in their darkness. So acceptance means totally accepted for the good, the bad, the ugly, the, the bad, any anything. So love accepted, forgiven, and apologized to because, you know, every single soul has been through a journey on this, uh, side. And some of those things have been really excruciating, very painful, very tough. And so for me, studying all these different modalities, and I have, I've studied and spent probably 450, maybe 500,000 now this year with my new coach. Whew. That's a lot of, that's a lot of dollars that, you know, would've been nice in the bank, but I am the happiest and at the best frequency that I could possibly be at. And I was like, why are we not teaching this to kids? I've worked in disability, the education department. I have three children myself. I remember being a child and I didn't get diagnosed ADHD until last year. Not fitting in, masking, making poor choices, all of those things coming up for me. Why are we not teaching children to have beautiful, strong core beliefs? Understand their regulation system, understand their emotions so that they can ask for help and. With our own parents. Like we don't normally go to them anyway. We want to go to somebody who's more neutral, somebody that just wants to be our person. And that's why I created the kids coach, bringing personal development, um, emotional growth, behavior regulation, all the techniques that can be just blended to children because they get it. And especially in. You know, I'm here in Australia, especially in the NDIS, the disability service schemes. Like there's so many children that are just given a number and a label and a diagnosis and some medication, and the parents are left there wondering like, what do I do now? Like, how do I help this child? And honestly, I can get teary, but honestly, if I hadn't done the work and, and got sober and worked on my own, um, depression, and I. Bad thoughts and bad strategies, awful emotional behavior. If I hadn't worked on all of that, I wouldn't have raised two, two amazing humans. That's my little reminder to, to have meditate. Two amazing humans like teenage boys, and on the very way of raising Aurora alongside Abi. These techniques help you become the most. Best human you can be so that you can unpack with your kids the language of asking why and coming back to the, the strategies. And again, that's why I created programs for children so that, and families and moms.'cause this is stuff that's not taught parent to parent, it's not taught in the education system. It's not coming from other places, but it's there. I'm not reinventing a wheel. It's literally at our fingertips to breathe. I. To take time to be in the sun, to ground, to apologize, like I said, to unpack, to have the skillset, to use the language, to repair, to hold space. And these are all techniques and things that I've learned through my coaches and through the practices and the courses that I've done along the way. So I think that what I'm trying to say in this little different, um, podcast is that. I'd love some feedback as well, but what would you like to see? I would love to have perhaps other moms, you know, interview me or ask questions. Children. I know that that's a little controversial. I kind of held back on that because I didn't want to, uh, capitalize on, you know, having Aurora on on it. But she comes up with the most gorgeous things because, you know, through the eyes of innocence, children teach us. Um, so maybe showing you guys some techniques and things that I do with Aurora or the, the children that I work with, obviously with the parents', blessings. What would you love to see or hear more on the waves and would you like some of those healings and channels on here? Because I'm gonna take you through a process today. That was my intention. An energetic process. Uh, things that I have done online and in my trainings, but not on my. On my podcast, I've been uploading a few meditations and this morning I didn't make it to the beach, so I didn't do my my beach meditation. But Belinda and I did a little energy clear on a couple of episodes ago, and I thought that today I would do an energetic channel so that you can listen to this and feel something, feel. More focused or clear or happier or, uh, whatever that intention that you're gonna have that you're gonna draw into this, I'm gonna take you through a process, but, so my question is, would you like more little podcast like this where I give you a little bit of an update or, um. I just literally jump on for 10 or 15 minutes and channel for you guys. Would that be something cool? Um, but I'm just gonna leave this here, see how the likes go. I'll upload it to all my socials and, um, I know I say, um, a lot. That's one thing I'm trying to work on instead of saying, I'm say, and I feel a little. Self-conscious guys, I'm just gonna own it. I feel a little self-conscious because I'm here meant to be making a professional podcast, and I didn't really have a format, I didn't have a, a guest here to, to flow with just myself, but I feel like it's all imperfect. Again, my intention for this was just to be totally real and honest. I'm not perfect. But my heart is in the right place, and I believe that my mission and my purpose is here to serve and help others, especially our younger generations. PS. I do have a couple of meditations that are on my other program that you guys have access to. I did get into a, a studio once and create a kids podcast, which I'd love to create more of, but maybe I'll do them on a kids, sorry, a kids' meditation, not a kids' podcast. Kids' meditation can create more. So again, the more feedback I get, the more time I'll invest into this. Um, again, it's a passion project'cause I don't do all the, the editing. But yeah, if you've got to here and you've managed. And you continue to like my ADHD ramblings and you can follow me. Awesome. I love and appreciate every single one of you. And for those who haven't heard this, you'll hear it many, many times. I know in my soul, in my belief system in my world, that my gift is unconditional love and I have the heart and capacity to love many, and in that frequency. There's different levels of love, but I can hold and love many. And so when I say I love you, I really genuinely mean it. And so I'd love that to hit home to your hearts that humans are meant to connect with love, and I love every single person that is listening to this, that ask me questions that has been in my life, either current, present, or in the future. Please know that that is a gift, and, and it's, it's one that I love to, to give out and obviously do receive back from many. Hey everyone, Nichole here, and I hope you're enjoying today's episode. Just hit that subscribe button, drop us a review, and let's keep these conversations flowing. Now let's dive right back into our episode, and thanks so much of being a part of the Nichole's show. So we've got to here, let's just take a minute if you need to pause it. Uh, get yourself comfy in a place where you're not driving, where you're not gonna be disturbed, that you can just really allow my voice to flick with you. I do have a backing track and I need to find that from my producer. But anyway, we'll do that another time. So now that you've found a place and you're totally comfortable, I'd love for you to take in some breaths, the biggest breath, filling your chest, filling it up to your shoulders, your collarbone, like really feeling in your solar plexus. Like really. Feeling it expand. And then when you breathe out, like really feel yourself contract, letting the shoulders drop, the body sink further into the floor or the bed that you're laying on. It's really feeling that body. So when we really purposely breathe in, we breathe in with expansion, and I believe we breathe in love and light. And when we exhale. We are allowing anything that no longer serves us, any feelings, any thoughts to kind of come out our breath, and that in itself is a practice, my friend, breathing in love and light, breathing out energy, darkness that no longer serves us. And by concentrating on your breath and also listening to my words, your energy shifts. Your frequency totally shifts by bypassing our conscious mind here and we're getting into the unconscious. You don't wake up every morning thinking I need to breathe, but when you take control of your breath, your whole body listens and you just start to relax. And as you relax even deeper, I want you to find your safe space within your body. I want you to find the part of your body where you feel totally safe, whether there's a strength there or a warmth. You might like. I've never done this before. That's okay. I want you to scan your body and find a place that you know is totally safe, that might be in your heart, might be in your stomach, might be in your feet. There's a place that you can instantly go. And if you can't find one, pretend make one up. Today. My safe place is. I am locking it in. I'm putting my safe space wherever that is. The reason that I ask this is that most of us are so dysregulated that we don't know where to find our safety, and yet safety starts with a choice and a feeling within us when we feel safe. We can then start achieving the things that we wanna achieve. When we draw upon our safety part of us that grounds us, the sturdiness, it can give us clarity to then make one step forward. So I'm gonna take you on a little journey of stepping forward. Now you imagine that you're on your morning walk, whether you walk or not, pretend that you get up out of bed and you go for your morning walk. So as you're just breathing and feeling safe, it's going on your morning walk. This can be a walk that you've been on before or perhaps a brand new one that you're making up in your mind. Brand new terrain. Notice the shoes that you're wearing or if you like to walk bare feet, maybe you're on the sand and the beach. Notice the temperature on your skin, whether there's a light breeze, whether the sun's on top of you, and you feel that golden light. Just really immerse yourself in the visualization, in this healing journey, and as you're walking, feeling, smelling, seeing, hearing the things around you, you then just keep walking, feeling so familiar. And you get to a point in your journey, in your walk where there's two possible ways to go, there's a way that you go every single time. It's the journey that you take. It's the same walk that you walk all the time and you can go, you can go to the left. If you go to the left, it's the same route that you go and you end up back where you started. And then today you look, there's a path to the right. It's a path you've never taken before. It's a path you're curious about, oh, do I have time for this path? Is it gonna take longer? Am I gonna be able to get back home? What's on that journey? I don't know it. Maybe I'm a little scared. All the normal things that you'd think about when you're going on a different walk, but today you decide alongside my voice, my guide, take my hand if you like that we are going to walk a different path. We are curious. We're a little fearful, we're unsure, but that is the gift of life, my friend. And so you start walking towards the right with each step forward. Finding that safety within your body that you had before stepping with purpose, curiosity, and courage. My favorite saving saying the cave you fear to enter holds the treasures that you seek. So even though, and for those that have caught on that, this is a little guided metaphor, meditation, healing. I want you to imagine the energy that you film when you each foot steps along the path that you're stepping of the unknown. And what happens to you if you change just a little. If you take a different path, if you take a different tactic with somebody, if you try a different emotion, if you eat a different food that day, if you exercise more, that path can be a metaphor for anything in your life if you just try something different. Then everything changes. And I want you to really imagine if you continued to walk the path of the unknown on the right side, what you could create, what your future self, what the vision, like if you are a visual person like me, and you start visualizing who would be on that path? Where would I be going? Where could I travel to? Who would I meet, who would I be taking along that new path? And it starts with one step. One curiosity, one, change in your behavior, emotions. Listening to different podcasts. What else could you do in your life that would stop you being on that same path, on the same path and the getting the same results? If you had the courage today to do one thing different, one foot in front of the other, taking that right path, right. You see what I did there? Taking the right path, right? Not the left, not going on the same journey we've all been on before taking a new step in the right direction'cause it was to the right of the path. What could you create? Where would your world go? And then this blended guided meditation. I ask you to look for a sign. Now. My sign is feathers. I see feathers everywhere that I'm meant to be. But I ask you to look for a sign, and it might be feathers too. You can copy, you can model. But look for your sign in this little healing journey. And then you ask for that sign to be recreated in your current life. I'm gonna see this, whether it's Shells, rocks, feathers, I don't know, whatever else you saw. I asked for this sign to show be shown to me in many ways in my current life to show me I'm on the right path. I asked for this sign to show me in my current life, in my physical life, where I know I'm on the right path. And that could be in songs, in lyrics, in words, in people talking, in that physical aspect of whatever you've just seen. And it'll come up again and again showing you in many ways that that is where you're meant to be. Now, I thank you for joining me on this little guided rant download. I encourage you to take some breaths and slowly come back to awareness in your body. Really take the time to integrate in what you saw, what you heard, and if you wanted to come back anytime. Just listening to that last 15 minutes of the podcast, allowing this beautiful, energetic download to land. Bringing yourself back to the awareness. I'd love your feedback. I'd love your comments, what your sign was, and from my heart to yours, sending unconditional love. Namaste.
