Hello, my name is Jasmine Lee, and I am not your mama's astrologer. Welcome to the week. How was your week last week? I felt like it was unreasonably action-packed for how little I expected it to be. How about that? And a really big life lesson I learned last week is that sometimes when you're just trying to be chill, the world, your kids, life, work, love, happiness is all gonna have other plans. And it is how you are able to release the plan of chill that allows for more chill. I will give an example that I had gone on a girls' trip with my sis. It was really fun. We had a great time, but there was a lot of moving parts going on, a lot of things surrounding us, not to each other, but just surrounding us that were kind of high velocity. And so I came home a little tired. I say to myself, this is going to be a chill day when I get home. I'm not gonna do anything. I need to rest. I need to integrate everything that's happened. And in comes my kids. Because every week we have a completely technology-free day. They decide this is gonna be their technology free day. Great, cool, cuckoo. I'm happy about that. Good choice, kids. They begin taking apart their entire rooms because it's been on the agenda this summer to clean out the rooms, to reset, to make new and fresh, new energy. They're not my babies anymore. So it's time to clean out the stuff. But they decide the day that I need my chill that this is gonna be the day they do that. And that's relatively okay for my 12-year-old, but I also have a nine-year-old who can't just like he's gonna throw out like family heirlooms, not realizing. And so, of course, that's what starts happening. So before I know it, my entire living room is full of cramp. And this chill day turned into the most unchill day. I got so overwhelmed I had to leave the house for a hot minute to go get some food just to decompress. And then people started coming into town, and then I started, you know, I had a class over the weekend. It was just kind of a crazy week. But I had some really good learning lessons of even when everything is going on, like I can still find center in moments, even if it's just leaving the house for a minute, even if it's just taking a deep breath. That was the lesson of last week. Wondering what the lesson of yours was. But this week, you guys. And the reason I'm posting it on Sunday instead of Monday is because so much happens on Monday. So much astrological stuff. And this is the kind of astrology that is going to carry us into July. Energy that we're going to be working with, energy that is going to resonate for longer than just this week, but Monday is a very powerful shift. We'll start with the easier shift, which is we have a full moon in Capricorn. I always think of Capricorn full moons as an opportunity to uh understand how we are resourced more because Capricorn controls our work life, it controls the work of our life, it controls our bones, it controls how we're sitting up at the top of our chart in the world. And it's opposite because that's what happens on a full moon. The moon is opposite the sun, and it's opposite sign of cancer where the sun is. It's about home life and emotions and family and roots and ancestral wisdom. And now these two aren't so different. You know, they both want to put in the work. But the full moon Capricorn ask is how are you going to resource yourself? What has worked and what hasn't worked? And full moons mean that the energy is full, it's ready to burst. And so maybe you have overplanned yourself. Maybe you feel as though you have promised too much, there is too much work, there is a lot of things blowing up in your face right now. I also see this as a time of reflection about bitch, you're doing too much. Like you did too much. You went in too hard. You're you were a little much in this last little bit of time. Maybe you were. I kind of was. I've had a lot of big emotions over this moon cycle. I've had a lot of feelings, I've had a lot of revelations, I've had a lot of past stuff coming up for me. And this Capricorn full moon is almost like, okay, now you've done a lot. Where does the resource come in? How do you make sure you get a good night's sleep? How do you make sure that you are supported in order to do the work? Because the work is here and ever present. So full moon is usually big contankers energy. So I see that really as a lot of burnout. I see it really as looking at your schedule and maybe you've overbooked. I see it as these feelings of how have you been resourcing versus how are you resourced today? So take stock. That's the easy astrology. I mean, geez, when a full moon is the easy part of the Monday, bitch, please. It's a little scary. Because then also, Jupiter is moving into Leo. And this is a big deal, you guys. Whenever outer planets change signs, it doesn't happen as often as, say, the moon that changes signs every two and a half days. Our rising signs change every two and a half hours. No. Jupiter takes a whole ass year to change. And so it's been a hot minute. It's been since, you know, 2014 and 2015 that we have had Jupiter in Leo. So interesting. You can maybe think back to what you were doing in 2014 and 15 and think about from June to June and think about what was going down. Like what is what was going on that is now different and reflected and mirrored that is about to go on now. Because Jupiter makes things bigger and Leo is boss bitch energy. Okay, it's ruled by the sun. It's big, big, big. It wants, it wants first kisses. It wants some goddamn fun. It wants to be seen and it wants to be loud. And so then when you've got Jupiter like bopping elbows with it, being like, yeah, bitch, let's get loud. Let's do it. Let's do it. Wherever this happens in your chart is gonna get an explosion of energy. And it's like, do you like that? So my advice to you, my dearest people, is to think about very intently how you do like to be seen. Do you like to be seen? Do you like the spotlight to be on you? Do you enjoy these things? If the answer is no, well, you'd better run for cover with the in this part of your chart because you are about to get blown wide open. Here's high road Jupiter in Leo. High road is you are using your time not just to move the dial, but to have some fun. You're using your time to be playful. You're using your time to experience new first things because Leo loves first kisses. Leo loves butterflies in the tum-tum. Leo rules the house of children. And so it can, in some ways, be incredibly playful and fun and great. But, and operating in a high road, it can really get the whistle while you work notion that you can really change a lot by being seen, allowing yourself to be seen, expressing yourself, allowing yourself to be expressive. These are all things that Leo, high road Leo, can expand Jupiter in your life, can make dreams come true, can make laughing feel like the most important thing because sometimes it really is. Sometimes it's not just about work, sometimes it's not just about fate, sometimes it is just about a good laugh. I have a dear friend that keeps that in perspective for me a lot. That whenever some time in my life feels hard, we can always find out what's funny. And finding what's funny sometimes is the medicine to being able to see more clearly through the dark spots. So I love Leo and I love Jupiter and Leo. I feel like there's a lot of great things. Low road, over dramaticism, over-acting, over-egoing, over-reacting to not getting the attention. Um, you know, if Jupiter expands everything it touches, then maybe we're gonna go through a period of partying a little too hard. Maybe we're gonna drink a little too much. Maybe we'll eat a little too much. You know, whatever your little too much is, wherever Leo is in your chart, is maybe where you're gonna experience a little too much. And that can be a really hard. Sometimes we have to learn our boundary by overdoing it. Sometimes we have to learn how to pivot by really taking a far left turn, somewhere where we didn't mean to go and end up somewhere where we didn't mean to end up. And that's real. And that's okay. And that's what Jupiter and Leo really shows us is that high road or low road, we make noise. High road or low road, we are here. High road or low road, we will be seen. And so the idea of being very present with what you want to put on display in your world is going to really matter because you have an opportunity. If there's something you're wanting to say in your relationships, if there's something you're wanting to do in your career, if there's something you're wanting to write, if there's something you're wanting to create, we love creation. Jupiter and Leo gives you the fire. You know, when I was teaching during COVID at DSA, Deborah Silverman Astrology, I noticed when I was doing people's elemental dispersions in their chart that, no, even if someone was really fiery in their chart, that they experience that they were experiencing a lack of fire in their life. And fire is really tricky because we can't control fire. We can light the fire, but then we can't always control where all the fire goes. We cannot control where fire goes. And so even those of us who have a lot of fire in our charts can sometimes hide behind it, away from it, or let it go out very easily. All it takes is a swift blow. Let me see what I did there. I didn't mean it in it. That's what she said kind of way. Anyway, all it takes is a swift air to make the fire go out. And so Jupiter in Leo is an ignition point. It is a fiery point. It says wherever you are lacking fire, you now have an opportunity to infuse it. But be careful, don't, you know, build that fire too large or it can become wild and out of control. And that's what I envision when I think of Jupiter going into Leo, is that we love fire. That is what makes us move. We love fire. That is what makes us love. We love fire. That is what gives us the passion to continue forward in our life. But, and if we are not responsible, if Smokey the Bear be coming in and being like, bitches, what are you doing up in here? If we need to get reprimanded by him, then we're not doing it right. You know, then we didn't contain it. Then we didn't master it. And not that I'm really a fan of mastery because I think that's kind of an ungettable get in a lot of aspects in life, but I do believe the practice of leaning towards mastery is a really good practice. And so I see Jupiter in Leo as an opportunity to move the dial a little faster towards your mastery. And what is that in your life? To me, I see Jupiter in Leo as a really strong, lovely astrological shift and one that we have been needing because Jupiter has been in cancer, which it's been a little bit different. What's been expanded over this last year was how we really feel about things. And sometimes how we really feel about things can be pretty busted, and it can create some muckiness. And so I love Jupiter and Leo clearing out this muckiness. It is also, you know, Pluto, one of our other really big outer planets that change signs into Aquarius, is the opposite of Leo. So we're transforming in the world in how we are doing community, while also opposing that is this luck and right timing in Leo that says when I step into my truest iteration of self, when I am no longer afraid to be myself, when I stick up for myself, when I am in resonance, in fire with myself, it only highlights what is needed and necessary in community together. So I think that, you know, for America, for the world, this all of this astrology is really profound and it's leading us somewhere different. And sometimes we have to close our eyes and hold our hand out to the universe and just take whatever reaches back and see where that leads us. I'm not even done with Monday, you guys, because guess what starts? You guessed it. It's Mercury retrograde. It's like a game show. You know, here's Mercury retrograde, and we all put a lot of emphasis always on Mercury going retrograde. But listen, here's the deal: it's in cancer. And technology is gonna be a mess. And when you're trying to have an honest, deep conversation, which maybe this Jupiter and Leo is really like expanding you to do, miscommunications are bound to occur. Because when all of us have profound astrology going on inside of us, then you turn us out off into the wild, and we all have to interact with each other. And the truth is that doesn't always mesh. And Mercury retrograde is really gonna show us where in our life our bigness gets misunderstood. And it's all information. All the wrong things you're gonna say this month, all the wrong turns you're gonna make are all going to be very good information for how to go forward in the future. So I don't want you to stress too much, though. I will say it's not gonna be the easiest road ahead. July is a really big time. There is a bigness to it. Where, on the one hand, I feel extremely inspired because I feel like this is the plot twist I have been waiting for. I hope it feels that way to you too. And if it doesn't, well, then it's the cataclysm that none of us can avoid any longer. And sometimes you gotta set some shit on fire. Sometimes you gotta burn stuff to the ground so that it can waste away into something new. If you do not feel your emotions all the way through, well, then they linger, don't they? They stay in our bones, they stay in our bodies, they stay in our hearts. And then we're just like walking down the street and smell like watermelon, and all of a sudden we're taken to this crazy memory of the last time we smelled watermelon and it was a hard one and we didn't work through it, and now it still lingers inside of us. That is this energy forever. You're gonna be smelling all the proverbial watermelons, all of the things that are going to be bringing up and drawing out repressed memories, repressed emotions, repressed past stuff. And Jupiter and Leo is here to expand and let you stand out more. And that could incite a lot of vulnerability. It could incite a lot of saying things maybe you don't mean or maybe you do mean out of context. And you know, that's not even it for the astrology. You know, Mars is gonna be squaring the nodes, which is this precursor to the end of the week. Mars is our warrior, and Mars is suiting up, my dudes. Suiting up big time, because Mars has got some big time work to go do. And first it's squaring the nodes of fate, saying, listen, whatever's about to go down, you guys. It's like when you're watching a movie and you've been watching it for you're you're like a third of the way through the movie and you know some shit's about to happen. And whether stuff is going down in the movie, like you could be watching a Jane Austen, you know, movie that was based on a boring, you know, whatever. You could be watching a really boring movie, but still know that when you get to the last third, you know, of the movie, the apex is going to inevitably occur. And the anticipation and inevitability of that apex is indeed what Mars is doing at the beginning of the week. It's suiting up, it's getting ready, it's an hour and a half into that movie, there's only 30 minutes left, and you know that shit's not gonna just stay. You're almost done with your book, and everybody's happy, and you're like, no, no, alas, that is not how books go. It is not how a good story goes. Nothing about a good story just goes smoothly. So I want to remind you of that as the world starts worlding this week, as your heart starts opening this week, as your feelings might get a little dicey this week, I want you to see that whatever circumstance, whatever calamity comes your way, that there is indeed and in fact a plot twist that is necessary in order for you to move forward. And so if something intense happens, I only want you to lock in more. I only want you to say, challenge accepted, and I want you to approach it differently than just that clenching against the inevitability of hard moments. Because hard moments only become intolerable when we don't accept them, when we don't allow them to change us, move us, and help us to understand what's really going on more. So that's kind of like my warning for this week, because then in July 3rd and 4th, just in time for little old America's goddamn birthday, we have the Uranus-Mars conjunction. This is Mars is our fighter planet, Uranus is our planet of big change in kablooey. You put those two things together with Leo, with Jupiter moving into Leo, and I know you know what I just said about fires. Little fires everywhere. That's where everything is gonna be at. There are little fires everywhere. And sometimes eventually, when they meet, kablooy. Big, boom, goes the dynamite. And whatever that means for you, whatever that means for America, whatever that means for the world, you know, these are just those times where we have to pull up our big girl panties or big boy panties and say that whatever may come, I will figure this out because we do and we can and we will. But sometimes it's like how I started this podcast when you're just wanting to be chill and your freaking kids bring out buckets of memories, of clothes, of stuffed animals, of things, and spread it all over your goddamn floor. And we get to choose what we do with that mess. I chose overwhelm. I chose leaving the house for a minute, I chose crying a little bit over losing the childish parts of my children as they grow up and older. I chose to feel it all. And on the other end of it, I was really proud that they self-motivated themselves to do that, to want to clear out their rooms, to want to step into a new, different version of themselves. You know, my little guy ended the night crying because he felt like his room wasn't cool, like he wanted to be this big boy version of himself. And, you know, it was hard to gently express that you are still, in fact, nine, even if you're about to be ten. You are still, in fact, a young person, and it is okay, in fact, to have a young person's room. But you know, joy is wasted on the youth because he doesn't see it and he's not supposed to see it because all he sees is his older siblings all being big kids, and he just wants to be a big kid too. And so the process, you see, we've uncovered it that it was never just about everything out in the living room floor. It was about what was changing inside our family unit as a result of everything, quite literally everything being out on the living room floor. Do you see? So I want you to take your version of what everything out on your living room floor could look like and figure out what is under the layers of stuff. Because under the layers of stuff is the truth of it, is the truth of you, is the fear. Of moving forward is the fear of letting go, is the fear that you'll be alone, is the fear that you won't be successful. So I want you to start this week your homework saying, it is the fear of. And I want you to fill that out. It is the fear of blank that holds me back. And I want you to recognize when that fear is getting in the way of allowing all this change. Because oftentimes we are on a lot of levels ready to change. But if we still need to hold on to our comforts, then it's not gonna work. They say when you're writing a book, you have to kill your darlings. You know, a line that you loved so much, a character that you loved so much. Sometimes you have to let the line go. You have to let the character die in order to move the plot. Listen, I'm not saying go kill anybody. You didn't hear me say that. I didn't say that. I didn't say nothing needs to die per se. We're talking in theoretics in the realm of what notion have you been living under for X amount of years that needs to die? What darling can you kill inside of yourself? What beautiful part of you that maybe you cherished a really long time ago is ready to move on in transition, is ready to go. And sometimes we miss those versions of ourselves. I have found myself making loads of mixed CDs. I mean, not actual ones anymore because that is an impossibility, you know, of the times. But I was making a lot of mixes on my Spotify. How about that? And finding all of these songs from when I was in my earlier 20s and just thinking about that bitch, that 20-year-old little punk rock princess that was getting tattooed. I mean, I'm still getting tattooed as an old bitch, but as a punk rock princess, I was doing it for different reasons, probably. And listening to different music that would annoy everybody else in the house if they were subjected to these punk rock mixes that I was making. And understanding that while that part of me isn't alive anymore, she is still omnipresent in the cacophony of who I am today. That that little rebel, that little person that didn't like to be told no, that would always ask someone out on the date first, that would always be the one to ask the important questions, despite whatever the answers might be. The bravery of youth is a profound thing. And in some ways, I feel as an older person, I'm more brave now because I'm more honest with myself. But back then, I was brave in the realms of asking others and experiencing others in a different way than I think happens as we get older. And so as we're retrograding, as Mercury is retrograding back through these moments in our life, through broke down cars, through our, you know, electronics not working, through our pets meowing through the night, through our bad sleeps, through our having to take more time in the grocery store lines. I want you to use those times when things aren't quite working right to find those younger versions of self and recognize where you were and where you are today. And sometimes a solution can come based on the contrast of the then versus the now. And I think that we use, I was doing this really beautiful visual where I was imagining my chest as this ball of light. And maybe you can do that too sometimes, where you are this light and there is light stretching out in front of you. And in front of you is this unknowable future. You don't get to know it. That would ruin the book. Do you like people telling you how books end? Hell no. If you do, you're weird. Stop listening to the podcast. Get out of here. Like what? No one, it's not like when Harry met Sally where he says he likes to read the last book, the last page of the book, so that he knows how it ends, so that in case he dies, he knows how the books end. That is a road we're not going to go down. Let's stay focused here. Okay, there's a light in front, and you don't get to know how it ends, and that's your life. But also, there is the illumination of what was behind you. And I see that more as a radiance that surrounds you. This insight, this hindsight that you have, and experiential knowledge that you have of what has worked and what has not worked in the past. And those are your tools. And what I want you to keep in mind is that tools are great, but they aren't always the right solution. You can't use a hammer for the work of a wrench. And I want you to begin to trust in the present now, that the past is always there in aura around you. But the future is the tools waiting for you. And to be open to not just using the same old thing, to maybe validate and recognize what worked for you before, but with all of this changing astrology to see that beautiful light that is glimmering ahead of you as an opportunity for new tools, as an opportunity for more insight that will lead to hindsight later and to get kind of excited. Because whenever I see big astrology on the horizon, you know, we can do one of two things. We can be a little bit afraid of it because it's big astrology. Life's gonna change. It's big, it's big news, it's big feelings, it's a lot. And sometimes it's as a result of your actions, and sometimes you did nothing at all. And then life just lifes. But oftentimes we can follow the breadcrumbs of our past to acknowledge where we have landed in our present. And it really is about trusting that a new tool is going to come and to see our illuminated path forward as always there. No matter what, no matter how stuck you feel, no matter how big certain things feel, there is always a path. And you are always walking down it, whether you think you are or not. And this is just one of those times in astrology where boy, are we going to be doing a light trot. And if you haven't, you know, nourished your body, if you haven't nourished your soul, if you haven't amped up your mind, if you haven't been your own hype person, this period of time might feel quite aggressive. So there's that homework. I fear what? What are you fearful of right now? Because that is the thing that you need to light the match and set it on fire. Set it on fire and see what if you burn that fear all the way to the ground, that really the fear was just the desire all along. Whatever you seek, if it is in fact seeking you, you have to be unafraid. And that's the lesson of this week. And that's what's really going down. So get righteous with your fears and get ready to surf some waves. And the card I pulled, really funny. It just says, why? Why? You know, I like I got this really funny mental hit of there's gonna be so many random, just bullshit moments where you're like, why? Freaking why? Why does this have to happen? Why do I have to be late to work? Why do I have to get the flat tire? Why does my cat have to be annoying? Why couldn't I get enough sleep? Why, why, why, why, why? I can hear it in my own damn mind all the time. And just as Mars and Uranus are gonna come together and start some shit, well, right afterwards, Mars is gonna sextile Neptune, our dream sector, and try and Pluto, our transformation. So the more we can meet the conflict, the more we can meet the fire, the quicker we can allow it to burn down whatever was needing composting in the first place. And start fresh and start new and trust that whatever leaves you is meant to leave you, and trust that whatever accidental fight you might get in this week or whatever hardship might come up, the hardship is only clearing away for the good ship. We just have to shepherd it on in and allow our mistakes and allow our life to unfold so that we can continue to have that light in our hearts that is ever present if we would only rest in it a while. Thank you so much for listening. As always, my call to action is if you like this podcast, if it means something to you, because boy, does it mean something to me, if you would just message it to one of your friends, one of your people in your life, one of your colleagues, someone who you think would really benefit from a good, weird podcast of a girl talking about kind of astrology, but also not astrology, but also astrology. So thank you so much for listening. Good luck, little warriors. I don't know what's gonna happen. I don't know what's gonna be, but I have cats and I have love and I have faith that whatever it is will be the thing that leads us to the very next thing that is. And that if we can release our attachment to outcome, that that is when truly the world can remake us. Thank you so much, and I will see you next week.
