When there is era defining astrology in the sky, what is the expectation around it?

Astrologers have been talking about this week for quite some time, but does that mean the world is going to change tomorrow? 

Probably not.

It does mean, that the trajectory speeds up.

That our restlessness can feel more unmanageable. 

That we can be waiting for something big to happen to move us.

The medicine?

Be the big something that you are waiting. 

Be huge.

Be the leader of your own heart.

Be willing to make mistakes and see the darkness in you.

Go so deep that the light pinholes.

Hello, my name is Jasmine Lee, and I am not your mama's astrologer. Welcome to the week. This is one of those big talk weeks. It's the one that astrologers have been talking about for a really long time. And I am always a little remiss to put weight on those things because I think astrology is what you make it. I think that oftentimes what we think is going to be a thing isn't actually a thing, though it is. That's kind of the secret of astrology in general, is that whatever you think is not a thing kind of is a thing. And whatever you think is a thing is kind of a diversion for another thing that's happening deeper under the surface. And I was having a chat with one of my lovely astrologer friends who was posing this question of when there isn't a lot to see visibly in the world changing because it just feels like more of this doom and gloom, more of this horror, more of this, that, the other. How do you know that it's happening? And especially when our astrologers going to get a bad rap for highlighting this bit of astrology in a big way when nothing big happens. And it's a really good question because this is a week where the big is happening in the sky. And it poses the question: what is it mirroring down to us? Smallerness on Earth. And the question to me, there the answer to the question is incredibly layered because there are times where we can see global change and times when we can see the world falling apart or falling inward or outward, and we can't always have language for it, nor do we have a visual for it. That there's so much more that lies under the surface. And as I'm sitting here in my smoky town where there's fires all around and the hills are hazy, which makes sunrises beautiful, by the way. You know, lemonade out of lemons. I see it. I see it inside myself. That's where I go when I think, oh, all of this insight was promised by the astrology of the moment. All of these big changes were promised because of the astrology of the moment. And yet I'm so busy looking outwards for the thing that I'm missing the mark of what's going on inside, which is the main thing. So let's keep the main thing the main thing. And what I think is interesting is that I got this visualization of like a bored child of a kid in summertime, say, which is what I am in the depths of right now, who says, I'm bored. I think that there are a lot of us who are so tired and so bored with the paradox that we're living in right now, that even amidst great change, we're bored. That even amidst all of this capable energy for shifting, we are so limited in how stuck we have been, that we can't see that horizon. And I love this because as I'm speaking, it's like the sun is rising and my face is getting brighter on the screen and the sun is hitting my face if I just turn it this way or that. And then I think of perspective. I think of where is my face turning in this evolutionary time. And I wonder if people in history knew that they were making history while they were making history. Probably not. And I think that with this big astrology this week, that we won't see the long-term ramifications of it until later. And so here's the inquiry, here's the homework, here's the vibe. If I tell you, big energy is here to change you, to move you, to change the world, and you believed it and believed me, what would you be doing differently right now? Because personally, I've been exposed to a lot. Like I was reading this book, um, everything was beautiful and nothing hurt, and it was about death. And he would meet all of the people when it was time for them to die, and they would make all of these excuses. The, well, I'll quit smoking now now that I know you're serious, or oh, I'll clean out the house now, now that I know you're serious. And it's like this long conversation around when is it important enough to pay attention? When is it or the energy big enough for us to notice? And that's how I feel about the astrology this week, too. And then I also what a time, you guys, to do a remake of the Odyssey. Because it's been done on the stage, it's been done, you know, many times before. And honestly, my experience with the Odyssey has been at our Waldorf school. The fifth grade performs it often. And so I've seen fifth grade version of the Odyssey many, many times. And this was my first experience, really getting to experience it through an adult lens, through a rated R perspective. And I really loved it for the time. It felt timely because just as we say to death, well, now I'll fix it. Now that I know you're serious, it's the same thing with human nature. What are we willing to fix before it's completely broken? Who does a sword answer to? The goodness in us or the anger in us or the violence in us. And I think we look to history to be the thing that is going to guide us. And I think that's where we're going wrong right now in the astrology. I think that looking to history to guide us is where we why we got ourselves in the situation that we're in right now. Why we are sitting in this very spot wondering, is anything gonna look different? Is that sense of complacency that we've given to other people, to other powers, to governmental systems, to the world that doesn't feel like ours, when really the answer was inside of us all along. And I think what's sad and what is hard to admit or hard to take is that whatever is going on in the outside world is a reflection of us, is a reflection of me, and it is a reflection of you. And when we take the sense of who's right and who's wrong, and because we think we're right, we do things and say things and act in a way that is in keeping with the wrong side. Just because we think we're right, well then it makes us wrong too. And I think that that is human nature. I think that we fight for what we think is right, but in so doing become the same type of villain through the fight. And that what war can start out as one side being right in war can become wrong. And I think that's the same for our bodies. When we start out wanting to do a good thing, when our intentions are right, when we just want this one thing and we work towards it, there are moments in our lives where we can become wrong by the choices we make to attain what our highest purpose is. And so here is what I think about this big basket in the sky that is forming. That what makes it up is this opposition between Jupiter and Pluto, between our expansion and our transformation. And those are two very different things. We can't transform if we're not expanding, and we can't expand if we aren't transforming. And they oppose each other, though, that we resist both in equal measures often. And that's why we get in these kinds of blow our tops situations is when we stay frustrated for too long, or anger inside of us lives smoky for too long. Then instead of the cough being productive, it really becomes long-lasting because of what we are willing to carry for too long. And so I dare say that this astrology, rather than looking outward at the big astrology, the era-defining astrology, other astrologers have been calling it, I agree with that. I think that it is. I think that it's crazy if you don't actually see it now because of modern technology, because of AI, because of the direction that we're choosing to go in is going to require more of our humanity. And so rather than looking at the era-changing astrology that's outside of us, I dare say to look at the era-changing astrology that's going on inside of you. Because there is this opposition that is asking us to expand and transform. And if we're willing to do that, then what forms the rest of the basket, this basket that we've been talking about for weeks planetarily that's forming in the sky, is that there are trines and sextiles, which are very helpful positive astrology to help us transform and expand. But it is the willingness to go on the journey that really is soul-defining. It is not when death knocks on our door and says, it's your time, and you say, Well, now I'll change. It's the proverbial change that you wish to see in the world being reflected through the willingness you are willing to expand and transform yourself. And imagine, imagine if all of us took this advice and we sat at home with our cups of coffee and we said, I am the expansion and the transformation that I want to see in the world. And we all started doing that. Where we would come to in this world would be a really different place. And when AI starts to get bigger than us, we'd better know who we are. We'd better understand our humanness more, our humanity, in order to combat whatever deceives us or whatever gets bigger than us. Because spiritually speaking, nothing can be bigger than what is going on inside of you. And instead of pointing a finger, and instead of saying, Well, I don't see it, and instead of wondering if you're going to be an audience member to the next grid big great American revolution, maybe say that you are in fact the revolution inside of yourself. And if you're not American, congratulations. That's probably better. But also, it is still a revolution inside, no matter what side you're on, no matter what country you're in, no matter what. The thing I love the most about astrology is that it is everywhere, all the time. And just because really big astrology is happening doesn't mean it's gonna happen in a big way. It doesn't mean there's gonna be a fireworks show. It just means that the energy wants you to listen, that it wants you to pay attention, that it wants you to see that there is a big opportunity here to blow the top off whatever has been concealed inside. And now, of course, with energy like that, we will see it globally because when there is a desire or there is an energy that is blowing tops off, well, you know, we all bought the bought into the notion of the show. We all enjoy a good dramedy, don't we? But I think we use a lot of this energy as distraction. I think we use a lot of it as a diversion to what really needs to be answered inside of yourself. What are you standing for? What are you willing to stand up for? What are you willing to change for? What are you willing to move for? What are you willing to surrender to? What are you willing to work towards? These are questions that are gonna be more on the surface. And I'll tell you, I feel as though I am in this liminal state where I don't really know what's happening. But I do know that there is a lot happening inside of me, that I am very moved by things. I'm moved by the book that I was reading about death and wondering about that other side, but then also moved and wondering about the Odyssey, this very old classic tale that yet is still so relevant for the wars that are going on around us and inside of us, that when you start out on a hero's journey, it doesn't mean you're always going to be the hero. It sometimes means that you are also going to be the darkness, because a true hero's journey is not just light. It might be inspired by the light. It might be inspired by the thing inside of yourself that says yes. But along the way, here comes Jupiter and Pluto, this expansion and this transformation, saying that that's not always beautiful. Saying that what's inside of you is also ugly, saying that there are sirens and there are monsters and there are angry, hurt people inside of you. Monsters. When really they weren't monsters at all. They're just the darkness, they're just the things we don't understand. They're just the stories we wrote when we were children, they're just the pain body that is hard for us to reconcile, that comes up and out, and eventually you become wrong too when you stop when you continue to fight rather than understand where it all began in the first place. That there is an arc one must reach every day of our lives where we ask ourselves, what are we doing? Who's it for? Why are we waking up every single morning? And if we don't know the answers, even more darkness can ensue. Because I think where the human struggle becomes really real is when we forget what we're fighting for, is when we forget what really matters to us, is when we forget our own heart beating in our own chest, and that it is such a time to stay present, to stay focused, to stay right here, right now, and to understand that sometimes what you started out fighting for isn't what's really alive inside of you anymore. That in order to expand and transform, we have to also be willing to see the wrong inside of us, to see where we went wrong along the way, because that's how we make course corrections. That's how we make adjustments, that's how we start to take shape here. And with this beautiful astrological moment, it is shaped like a bowl. The opposition is what forms the lip. And what are you putting in your bowl right now? What around you are you paying attention to? Are you too much on social media? Are you too much in the right wing or the left wing or the wrong or the right of it all? Are you too lost in the minutiae of what everyone else is doing when really here is this bowl and it's sitting in your lap. And you're choosing to let other people fill it with what it is you think you need to co-create inside of you. And this isn't a lesson in disconnecting. In fact, I'd say it's quite the opposite that one can connect deeper and truer when you understand yourself. What is that thing they say? You can only meet someone else as deeply as you've met yourself. And so this mixing bowl is this opportunity to meet yourself in a way that is so different because you have so much astrological pull in the sky saying, look at it, look at what you put into your day every single day. Is it bitterness? Is it sore ankles? Is it anger? Is it joy? Is it desire? And how are you mixing that? Because what I really love is that we have so much ability to heal. But I think we resist it because if we don't have something that hurts, then sometimes we don't understand anything at all. That they say when something's hurting and you make some other part of your body hurt too, it takes your mind off the bigger hurt for a moment. And so I'm wondering out there in the great cosmos, what is the bigger hurt inside of you, inside of us, inside of we, that we are on purpose pushing into other areas of our heart in order to forget. And so much of our history is about forgetting to then repeat it. And this movie really touched me because it is the notion of when I started out good, I along the way became just as bad. And I think the acknowledgement that we all have everything inside of us all the time is what really matters right now. Is that the astrological wheel, the entirety of it exists in each and every body. It's just where it gets activated in us, is what creates the birth chart. And things are taking shape. And there's gonna be this beautiful moon next week that's gonna create a handle to the bowl so that we can carry it somewhere, so that we can move that energy to other places. And I think that that is really powerful. And so we begin the week with this opposition, starting this bowl, this Leo and Aquarius, ego and community. And how do we bring them together? How do we understand that what is darkness outside is really a reflection of all of us on the inside, too? It takes a lot of leadership to understand that. And when all of these outer planets reach a four-degree point all together, it's saying, take a glimpse into the truth of it. Take a glimpse into the truth of the world, and you'll see that it is just one big reflection. And what do you want to do about that? And let's break this bowl down into smaller bits then. So Monday, Jupiter is gonna try Neptune while it is also opposing Pluto. And so our dreams are really going to be bubbling to the surface at the beginning of this week. And there is the question of what you're willing to transform it into. And that's where we can really kind of hit a few stuck points. Because when we're dealing with something that isn't in our physical body, in our hands, and we can't see it, then can we actually believe in it? And that's a philosophy that all of us have different versions of faith, trust, spirit guides, all of that. So can you have trust in what your deepest soul is trying to cultivate right now? Because I find myself stumbling on my words during this podcast because of the magnitude of the depths of which we are capable of going this week. And there's fear inside of me too, of wondering what is my darkness? What is the thing that is holding me back, that is really me chaining myself to my own preconceived notions, to my own hurts, to my own insecurities, to my own feeling that I am not even recognized to myself. And so that's pretty liminal. I mean, it's not solid. It's not something I can form into a ball of clay, into the manifestation of what I am working on because I don't know it. I don't have form to it yet. But that's right. We just have this big ball of clay this week, and it's wet and it's dropped onto our table. And now I'm inviting you to put your hands on your clay. And I'm not asking. You to know what shape it needs to be, or even what shape you want it to be, because maybe you don't even know that yet. I'm just asking you to put your hands on it and understand that whatever you create is a creation of you, from you, from the inside of you to the outside. It's proverbial clay, but you know, you get the picture. And then Tuesday, Jupiter is going to try Uranus. Uranus is the planet of really big change, and Jupiter expands really big change. So now we've mushed the clay down and we're starting to form it into something. And I think this is where the excitement or the electricity can really come in of, I'm about to make something. I want to create. And I go back to that feeling of boredom in children. When children are in summer vacation and they get bored, that is when something really profoundly powerful happens. And I'll tell you, I think we are a bored society. I think we watch these 30-second YouTube videos, these YouTube shorts. I think that our attention span is lower. I think that we're feeding ourselves garbage every day because we are bored. And I invite you to just take the salves away for a minute, rip off the band-aids, put down the phone, put down the things that are distracting you, and sit in your boredom for a moment. Because I think the thing about greatness and our potential to be that is how we approach it. And then I think of the sword and the stone. How only one person can get that stone or can get the sword out of the stone. And really, it is the most humble of the people, the most unexpected, the one that comes to it without putting intention into it before it is even acquired. That is really starting something. When we can come to our lives humbly and say, I don't know, but I am wanting. Yes, I am wanting this change. And so that's Jupiter sextiling Uranus. Yes, I want this change. I want this clay that was given to me, even if I don't know what to do with it, even if I'm so bored with the non-shapeness of it, that it isn't anything but something right in front of me that I don't know what to do with. And then you give it a little bit of time. And Uranus comes and starts giving you ideas of the shape of yourself. And then Wednesday, we enter Leo season. We are out of cancer season and moving into this Leo paradigm that is about leadership, that is about stepping forward, that is about taking claim to the world, to your world. And in so doing, you are taking claim to the world at large because we are all part of this. It's leadership. Neptune, sextiling, Pluto, our dreams making a positive aspect to this transformation. Now we're really starting to take shape. It's era defining. And rather than thinking about what's going on in the outside, what is era defining inside of you? A lot of the men didn't always believe in Odysseus. They always wanted to do it their own way. The humanness of us to think that if we take control, then we will get it more right. Or if we then give someone else the control, that then whatever happens is their fault and not our fault. These are the two paradigms we're working with here. Don't let someone else shape your clay. Don't let someone else get their hands on it before you know what you're wanting it to be. And then Thursday, Mercury goes direct. It's been retrograde. We've been so thoughtful about the past. Things have been coming up inside of us that we can't quite contemplate or define because of our inner childness that needs the healing, the bored child that's saying, You never paid attention to me in this way. But now that Mercury is direct, we can say, What do I want to take charge of now? I saw what I was doing that wasn't working. I see what has been hurting that hasn't been healing. And how do we work towards a center? Not being too far left, not being too far right, not always saying I'm right, and not always saying I'm wrong. How do we find the center? There is a gem here in that. There is a gem that we can find, a reconnection, a re-engagement that is teaching us right now where our folly was. And it's just a glimmer. We're going to make more mistakes. We're going to have more folly. That's part of being human. But I think the bigness of this astrology says it is time to absolutely do it differently. And what does different look like to you? What is the rhythm that is asking to be disrupted? And then Sunday Saturn goes retrograde. And so it'll be this new review of the lessons that we were learning, have been learning, and continue to learn while at the same time the nodes of fate change. We had been working in the Virgo and Pisces axis, the daily life and ritual and the spiritual. And now we're going to be working in the Leo Aquarius. So we began the week with this opposition between Leo and Aquarius. And now we're ending the week with the nodes changing to activate this Leo Aquarius feeling. And you know, Aquarius rules technology, it rules communities, it rules astrology, it rules this bigger picture thinking. Whereas Leo brings it down to earth and gives us an ego body that says, I am willing to go on this hero's journey. Leo very much is in the sun of that journey. But if you are not willing to get to a bigger picture place, if you are not willing to work for your whole, only those bits and pieces, then you won't see what the astrology is trying to do right now. It's asking you to find the patterns, the plot twists in your life to understand where the next pivot is. We've been doing a lot of review over these weeks, and now I like to think of this basket as something incredibly positive. Because I think when we think of an era-defining moment, or when we think of a generation changing, or when we think of everything changing, I think our mind unfortunately tends to go to really the negative places, to really the dark places, to the bad things that can happen. And listen, history has shown us that surely bad things can happen, and that is true. But nothing can take shape unless you start molding it in the first place. And you have to be willing to make those mistakes. And you have to be willing to repeat history a little bit to maybe understand it better, because we can conceptualize World War II. We can conceptualize the horrors, but we can't know them unless we get close to them, unless we understand that everything that the Nazis were capable of doing, we inside of ourselves are capable of doing. If we are given the right set of circumstances that tell us we are the most right. So I want us to get humble. I want us to be the person that when we pull the sword, our intention isn't to use it to hurt, but rather to help us understand what a quest really is to begin with, which is a journey which is imperfect, which is a notion that if we just start, that we'll get somewhere. And that it is in the taking absolute accountability for where you are at in your journey, where you're at in the pulling of this sword against this stone, where you're at in the deep seas of adventure, that is an indication of where you need to go next. But if we are so disenchanted, if we are so unawake, if we are so plugged into technology, if we are so plugged into the government right now, if we are so plugged into the cause, whatever your cause is, then maybe I want to invite you to think about it as a diversion, keeping you looking in the wrong direction. Because there is no direction more important than what is inside, that inner compass, that North Star that is saying there is great progress that can be made here when we do the work, when we look at our own darkness, when we make ourselves both the hero and the villain, when we know that all of it lives inside of us, and that what is playing out on a grander scale is a reflection of each and every one of us because we created it, we made it. And even if you say, not me, I recycle, even if you say, I am a good person, I would never, then I want you to humble yourself even deeper, to say there is no never. There is no life that is predicted through what you say you would never do. Because when death comes knocking, or when tragedy is near us, or when grief engulfs us, there's not a lot of never that enters that picture. And so when I say there's really big astrology, if you're not seeing it, then I invite you to go out and search for it. And not out there. It's a circus out there. It's a circus because there's so many of us busy looking for it out there. It's in here. It's right where your heart's beating. It's right where your frustration is living and your hurt and your pain and your joy and your love. It's right there. But sometimes we can mistake our hero's quest for something that it isn't, which is right or wrong. And the card I pulled is the never-ending story. Oh boy, that just makes me think of the movie with a tree, eh, where he didn't know what mission he was going on. He didn't even know what he was supposed to be looking for. He just got sent out into the great nothing to try to find something. And maybe that's what we're all doing right now: going out into this great nothing, going out into these smoky days where fire is ravaging the mountains around me and thinking there will be water.
