Host Johnny Burke welcomes Reverend Elaine Sans Soucie, an ordained spiritualist minister, medium, and level three QHHT (Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique) practitioner, to discuss what happens after death and how her intuitive modalities help people overcome limitations. She describes claircognizance and intuition, explains that spiritualist services include healing, an inspirational talk, and message work from deceased loved ones or guides, and notes the ongoing stigma around mediumship and energy work despite the wider acceptance of practices like Reiki. She shares QHHT experiences involving non-human guides and star races, such as the Arcturians and Sirians, and describes “linking” as an energetic match in which she can perceive what others perceive. Based on hundreds of sessions, she says there is no heaven, hell, or purgatory—rather, there can be a resting stage after death, continued personal development, and the idea that personality carries over (“as in life, so in death”). San Soucie contrasts QHHT with traditional past-life regression by emphasizing access to the most relevant time/place for current life healing through the higher self, including addressing emotional patterns and physical symptoms. She outlines pre-birth planning with guides, choosing lessons and family roles, multiple possible “exit points,” and free will to go “off script,” sometimes leading to repeating lessons such as overcoming addiction. Favorite session moments include an experience described as Jesus conveying infinite love, though she says certainty is based on felt knowing rather than proof. She also discusses beliefs about divinity within each person, “infinite spirit” as source, and Christ consciousness as a way of being not limited to Christianity. She concludes with the perspective that life is like a play meant for learning, with personal responsibility and choosing joy, and shares where to find her online (elainesansi.com, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram), along with show information for Closer to Venus.

Johnny Burke

Welcome to Closer to Venus. I'm Johnny Burke, and today's guest is Reverend Elaine Sansusi. She is an ordained spiritualist minister, medium, and level three QHT practitioner, which stands for Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique. Her work involves assisting people to overcome limitations and life's challenges using various intuitive modalities. In this episode, we'll discuss what happens after death. Elaine, welcome to the program.

SPEAKER_01

Thank you. It's nice to be here.

Johnny Burke

How did you find yourself on this path?

SPEAKER_01

Whew, that's a huge question. I was meant to be on this path since I was a kid. I had clear cognizance. One indication that you know things that you shouldn't know is being told you're a little miss know-it-all. I also was intuitive. I could judge a room. I knew what people's emotions were. I had it in me. It's just that it was tap down for years. And then as I got older, then I allowed it to be.

Johnny Burke

You are a spiritualist minister, a medium and a level QHT practitioner, and you also use a tarot, I believe, when you're channeling. So what skill or what sensibility actually came first?

SPEAKER_01

The intuition. I don't see ghosts on the outside. What I see is through my third eye, and then I'll get flashes of images and stuff. So when I do message work, when I serve at a congregation doing a service, there is a part of the service that you give messages. It's either from deceased loved ones. If it's not strict spiritualist, then I'll also give psychic messages, either from guides or whatever.

Johnny Burke

Now, being a spiritualist minister, a spiritualist church is not the most common type of church. What prompted you to get involved in that?

SPEAKER_01

I returned to my spirituality and then found out I was a healer. I became a Reiki master teacher. It was one step after another. And then I wanted to know about other things other than healing with energy through me. Or how about what's this thing called tarot about? And I found I could do that and do it using my intuition and guidance. That's easy. One thing followed another. And I always wanted to serve other people to help. I'm definitely a helper being. Along the path, I was a lay minister in a UU congregation, which is a far cry from where I began, which was Catholic.

Johnny Burke

Can you give us a brief summary of what a spiritualist session, or should I say, a service looks like? And also I'm curious, why is it not a bit more widespread than it is?

SPEAKER_01

First of all, a service is basically three parts. You have hands-on healing or above, depending upon the state, because some states won't let you touch, because then that's massage. So it's healing, it's a talk. I don't say a sermon because I don't tell people what to do. And then it is message work. Those are the three basic parts interspersed with songs that are of uplifting thing, like we could sing Turn by the Youngbloods, or we could sing At This Table.

Johnny Burke

Much different than a typical Catholic service, no question about that.

SPEAKER_01

Right. And it's not necessarily Christian because it's more open. Each person is responsible for their own truth. And so there are very few principles. One of the principles being that the soul is everlasting and it continues after the physical death, and you can speak to a being on the other side. And it flows right into QHHT because I speak to higher level beings through QHHT. And when I'm speaking to other people's higher selves, when other people go into the scenes of hypnosis, sometimes they're not on this planet and they're not human.

Johnny Burke

Heard that many times.

SPEAKER_01

And sometimes their guides are not human. One thing has led to another. And to me, both being of service in a spiritualist community and with QHHT allows me the kind of the best of both worlds helping in different ways.

Johnny Burke

Do you suppose at some point in our future that mediumship reaches a certain point where it's not regarded with as much skepticism as it is now? Do you think that maybe the spiritualist church movement will actually grow, or is it impossible to really know that?

SPEAKER_01

It's kind of impossible because there's still such a stigma about witchcraft and about witches and healers, energy work. Even though Reiki is now accepted in many hospitals, and I taught biolog biology and chemistry for years. And so I'm also left brain, but I'm very much right brain too. There's still a huge taboo about what I do.

Johnny Burke

So you had mentioned other beings, galactic beings, guides, star races, and so forth. What has been your experience with them?

SPEAKER_01

They're helper beings, they're different, they're loving. All of the experiences that I have had with other species. And some of them are not in form. Some of them are light beings, they're just energy beings. And they're around, they're here to help us. We cannot see them because the electromagnetic spectrum and that which we can see in it is so limited, but their frequency is so much higher than ours, also, that as we evolve and we are in the process of evolving, then more is possible.

Johnny Burke

Okay, do you remember any particular star races, Arcturians, Pleiadians?

SPEAKER_01

Arcturians come in. Sometimes, many times, when I ask the question, because uh the clients will come in with a list of questions they want answered from their higher self, because this person has never felt home here on Earth. And many times the answer is so-and-so has Starhaw. So whether it's Arcturus or the Pleiades or it was Syrian.

Johnny Burke

Are you able to actually see what they look like?

SPEAKER_01

Sometimes I'm able to it click in. What that means is my energy is such, and their energy is such that I'm able to link. It doesn't happen that often. But when it does, I'm able to see what they're seeing.

Johnny Burke

So that's the frequency intersection of some sort?

SPEAKER_01

It's an energy match.

Johnny Burke

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

So it's a linking. And when I am speaking with higher selves, my energy has raised. And so the entire room has shifted in frequency. And sometimes when people come into the back room, my second room of my office where we do the hypnosis, they'll say, Oh, because of the energy that's there.

Johnny Burke

You mentioned a really interesting point about going home, which means once we pass if we leave our earthly life, we go home. To digress for just a moment, I interviewed someone recently. His name's Mark Worthington, because he's had several galactic lives. He was told that home isn't necessarily heaven. Home is where your heritage originates. So if you are Arcturian recently, you're going back there. If you were Lyran, you're going back there. Have you had experience of anything like that?

SPEAKER_01

No. What I have had experience is when a client sometimes goes to a scene in another lifetime, what they'll do is go to a resting stage, okay, where everything is black. But they feel wonderful. That's a resting stage. And sometimes after physical death, from my observations over hundreds of QHHT sessions, there's no such thing as heaven.

Johnny Burke

No such thing as what exactly is it, or is that impossible to figure out?

SPEAKER_01

When we get out of our bodies, we're basically the same as we were when we were in. We just don't have a body initially. And it takes time. And this goes into my mediumship ability also. And we say, as in life, so too in death. So if you're cranky in life, you're cranky in death. And then it takes time for you to understand and to actually evolve.

Johnny Burke

With QHHT, let's talk about how that's different from a typical past life regression.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, completely different. Because I've done past life regressions. I was a regressionist before I became a QHHT practitioner. You regress the person, you go in in between lives, and then you go to the other life. Okay. Or sometimes just skip and go to another life. But in QHHT, you go to the most important time in a place where there's information for you now, the most appropriate. So it could be in this life, it could be many lives before. Let's say deep sadness. Sometimes that deep sadness originated not in this life, but in another life. And so when I'm talking to the higher self, I'll find out if it's not in this life, then can we heal it? Whatever the it is. It could be sadness, it could be a pain in the shoulder, it could be anything. And usually, if it's not originating in this life, then there was the lesson, if the lesson is learned, then yeah, and then it's healed. It can be healed permanently and completely, whatever it is, whether it's kidney problems, our body speaks to us with pain and with dis-ease. And where our body speaks to us also is very important. For example, if I have somebody who comes to me and who's speaking very softly, then I almost know for sure that somewhere along the line, most likely this person has been told to be silent and could not speak up. And sometimes they'll also have throat issues, thyroid issues, anything around the throat or jaw having to do with speech. QHHT also has the first part in is the interview to get to know. In the interview, it's an entire life story. And generally in the life story, it comes out, if it's the mouth, that somehow they were told children should be seen and not heard, or really not allowed to speak their truth. And so speaking up for themselves is very challenging.

Johnny Burke

You mentioned life between lives a moment ago. If there is no heaven, what happens in the afterlife?

SPEAKER_01

After we go, uh after in between lives, after we've had a rest stage, after we've figured things out, and we have guides and we have a whole troupe that are working with us all the time. And so we may decide with the help of our team that it's time to go back or go to, because we're not always on earth. The little spark of soul fragment that's within me right now is only a spark, and part of me, the whole me, is elsewhere doing other things concurrently. So before we go back, we decide what is it we want to learn? What is it we want to work on? The decision is made in consort with the guides, with the whole team. And then the nuclear family is chosen. All of the challenges basically are chosen for us to be able to experience that which we need to experience in order to learn that which the soul wishes to learn in this lifetime.

Johnny Burke

It's almost like casting a movie.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, it is, it's exactly that way, and this is a play. Dolores Cannon would say it, and we are playing, you know, a part in it, and everybody else is playing a part. And sometimes we come in kind of groups, soul groups, sometimes not, but we do see some of the same souls over and over, and we have different roles to play with each other. So sometimes siblings, sometimes it's parent-child, sometimes it's lovers, sometimes whatever.

Johnny Burke

Is it true if you dream about the same people that you know over and over again in different scenarios, especially if the place and time feels familiar, but you know you've never been to that place physically? Is that a hint that you may have shared past lives with these people?

SPEAKER_01

Or you may be sharing a life with them now.

Johnny Burke

Parallel life.

SPEAKER_01

A parallel life somewhere else. And sometimes people will go to a place that they've never been, and they'll say, Oh, take a right here, because there's something, there's this place that I want to see.

Johnny Burke

I've been told that in the afterlife, sometimes there's things for us to do. Oh, yeah. Learn, develop, and so on and so forth. So the word heaven is just a term, and they may be describing the same thing as you and I call the in-between space, where there's several different modes, there's a resting place, and there's development and so on and so forth. Does that make sense?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, but heaven usually has the connotation of reward. Whereas the in between is just a continuation. And sometimes what you would call the in-between, and I would say the afterlife, the after this life, is we go home, wherever home is, whatever home is.

Johnny Burke

It could be serious, it could be planet xenon or whatever. Yeah, I get it. I guess this is as far as we can go without actually crossing the bell ourselves, but I've heard a lot of experiencers, mostly mediums, talk about things that we do in the afterlife. We have jobs. You do have jobs.

SPEAKER_01

We have jobs, we take care of people, we do things, we're not just hanging out all the time.

Johnny Burke

Exit points. Now you believe that in the pre-birth, in the planning, in the casting of the movie or the play, that we agree to several. I've been told there's three.

SPEAKER_01

I would say many.

Johnny Burke

How exactly does that work?

SPEAKER_01

It's definitely not conscious. However, if you look back, if anyone looks back on your life, I bet you can think of a number of times that it could have been the end.

Johnny Burke

And we agree to these, apparently, these points.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, there are many, many. And we have a plan, again, as I said. And sometimes we'll complete the plan and then we'll keep going. It all depends.

Johnny Burke

You mentioned Dolores Cannon a few moments ago. She was famous for saying, You don't like the script, rewrite it. Now, is that true?

SPEAKER_01

You can. You can.

Johnny Burke

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Yes. We can change. We think that we are patterned down one road. To a certain degree, we are. However, we have free will. We can go off script. And if we go off script, then we can either learn more or learn less. If we learn less, we may need to repeat again. For example, sometimes with let's say chemical dependency, either alcohol, drugs, some kind of dependency. Some people may come in and this time I'm I'm gonna beat it. I want to make sure that I can be dependent upon drugs, but I want to lick it. And they may or may not. And so then they may choose to come back quickly and have that as one of their main things that they wish to learn. How to counteract or overcome dependency to become fully themselves.

Johnny Burke

What are some of your favorite moments from your interactions, your sessions with your clients that really stand out?

SPEAKER_01

The Jesus ones, when Jesus comes in. I mean Yes, exactly. And the first time I was just whoa. And it was the client was looking at Jesus called him over, and he was uh the client wasn't even in body. Okay, he was energy at that point, he had not yet fully reformed a body, but Jesus called him over, and Jesus was in the body, and he had him look into his eyes, and as he looked into his eyes, he was seeing infinity and infinite love, and this man was just overwhelmed with emotion and love. And afterwards, he told me that he couldn't see a back to his head, it just went out. That was incredible.

Johnny Burke

As a medium, and I've heard this several times before, are you ever able to share in your client's experience and perhaps even see what they're seeing?

SPEAKER_01

I have that's called linking in, yes. And I remember the first time I did message work in a congregation, and a medium asked me to join her, and I didn't think I could do anything. At first, I thought she wanted me to read a script or something, but I found I could link in and then she would give the message to a person, and I would come in. It was like two people seeing a crash and giving different perspectives, and so she would give part of it, and then I would come in and give more, but differently than what she had said.

Johnny Burke

But you're able to see it though, yes, sometimes. Okay, yes, that must be incredible.

SPEAKER_01

I wasn't seeing it on the outside, I was seeing it on the inside, so the frequency linked, and so we were in connection with each other.

Johnny Burke

Okay. Going back to the visit from Christ, which I think is pretty incredible, to speak for the skeptics out there, and I'm sure there's plenty. How do we know, or how does he know that was actually Christ and not just his imagination? Or is it impossible to tell?

SPEAKER_01

It's kind of impossible to tell. It's more of a feeling, more of a reaction. It was whole body. It wasn't just the mind, it was the mind and the emotions, and everything said yes.

Johnny Burke

Going back to your ministry days, because I'm not sure if you're active in that anymore, but there's the Christian world, and then we have the metaphysical world. In order to bridge the gap between them, have you ever gotten an inkling that there is a God particle in us, or is that neither here nor there?

SPEAKER_01

For spiritualists, that would be a Personal thing rather than a religious principle. I believe that each of us is divine.

Johnny Burke

Which goes back to that theory that God is in all of us, because lots of people talk about God, but they don't really know what God is.

SPEAKER_01

Usually I call it God infinite spirit, infinite intelligence, all that is, its source, that from which everything comes. It's not just a noun, but for me it's a verb. Christ consciousness is a way of thinking and being to me, and you don't have to be Christian to have it.

Johnny Burke

Definitely not.

SPEAKER_01

Certainly the Buddhist monks who are walking the trek to Washington, they're holy.

Johnny Burke

They're about as holy as you can get.

SPEAKER_01

I don't know if that answers your question.

Johnny Burke

It does. It's interesting because many of the people that talked about Christ consciousness were not religious at all. Like the spiritualist church, it's not an exclusive club. It's open to anyone.

SPEAKER_01

And it's not even usually called a church. Because a church is Christian. A fellowship would be broader, or a temple would be broader. But a spiritualist, you could be in any walk of life. You could hold any way of belief as long as you believe that life continues and that there's communication, there's an everlasting soul, and the golden rule. And basically, spiritualism, personal responsibility is a big deal. But if it's a big deal, that means there's no savior per se. That means the buck stops here. We are responsible.

Johnny Burke

What are some of the most important takeaways for the non-intuitives, the people that are not experiencers or mediums or seers or anything like that?

SPEAKER_01

Life is a play.

Johnny Burke

A movie.

SPEAKER_01

A movie. This life to me is to learn. And it's up to us to choose which road we want to take. We can always look at the bad things. Everything is bad. All I get is bad. Or whenever there's a choice, we can always choose the one that has a little joy in it.

Johnny Burke

And I'll leave everyone with this. I believe Edgar Casey said there are no victims. Elaine, thanks for joining us today. In the meantime, how can our listeners find you online?

SPEAKER_01

They can find me on my website, Elainesusi.com. They can find me on Facebook, ElaineSansusi. Same thing is true with my YouTube channel and also Instagram.
