Welcome to Closer to Venus. I'm Johnny Burke, and today's guest is Sue Elliott. She's an angel coach and author of My Angel Coach. Sue is dedicated to helping people to dissolve limiting beliefs, subconscious programming, and ultimately remember who we truly are. In this episode, we'll discuss her experiences with angels as well as how we can receive divine guidance. Sue, welcome to the program.

Great to see you. Angels are very popular these days, and I think we're going to get into that later. But how did you first of all find yourself on this path?

SPEAKER_01 0:37

I was a quote-unquote normal person for a long time. I mean, I was always very sensitive as a child and everything. But I was a spokesperson for the automotive aftermarket and a car magazine editor when I started hearing messages from what I later describe as the angels. It was clear that it was somebody's divine guidance and they wouldn't be quiet until I delivered it to the person that it was for. So at first it was just really obvious things. Like the first one I remember was telling somebody not to ever say, I can't afford that. They just kept saying, Tell her not to say that, tell her not to say that. And so I finally did. She was a little weirded out by it, but you know, it was fine.

I think I can see why that would happen.

SPEAKER_01 1:18

And that was a relatively open person, right? We were actually, there was a group of us at a psychic fair. So it wasn't, I guess, the most unusual circumstances for it to happen, but I was perhaps not the most expected person to be delivering those messages.

Johnny Burke 1:33

Now, when you first started getting the messages, did they identify themselves? Do you know their names?

SPEAKER_01 1:39

I don't know their names. So I do feel them as a collective. Sometimes more, sometimes less, depending on what we're focused on and how many beings are excited about, whatever that is. And I experience them as very loving, but also playful. They have a sense of humor, very joyful. And I do know that they're not the same angels that most people are familiar with. It's not Archangel Michael or Archangel Raphael. So it's a group of angels who are here, they're focused on helping humanity rise up in consciousness. They are my soul family. I've played with them for millennia.

Johnny Burke 2:18

Okay. Do you have any past life memories that include them? Or is that just a knowing?

SPEAKER_01 2:25

That's more of a knowing. I have some past life experiences, but they don't seem to involve those angels.

Johnny Burke 2:32

And when you say helping humanity, this is another thing that comes up a lot with the angels and alien interference ETs. Does that come into play in your experiences also?

SPEAKER_01 2:44

I think it's so interesting that you use the phrase alien interference. There there has been alien interference on this planet, and there is alien support and angelic support available right now.

Johnny Burke 2:55

Yep, heard that too.

SPEAKER_01 2:56

So the aliens who I know of who are off planet and on planet helping humanity are, especially the Arcturians, and I understand there are a lot of Canadians here. There are are particularly good at the same thing that I do with the angels, which is dissolving gunk, I call it. You know, subconscious programming, limiting beliefs, the rules we made for ourselves when we were four years old, and all the stuff that's in the collective consciousness, which is a huge chunk of very dense subconscious programming.

You had mentioned that you're living in 95 different threads at the same time. Is that a reference to parallel lives or is that something different?

SPEAKER_01 3:34

It's actually something different. I'm so glad you asked. I've never talked to anybody about this. So I was told this in a channeling by Team Love. Bill Little channels Team Love. He's amazing. It felt instantly true in my body and being. And the angels do want to emphasize that we get the unfiltered truth of the moment through our bodies. Our minds see the world through all those filters, all that gunk. But our bodies will always tell us yes or no to a person, a thing. I just got away with goosebumps or that the hair on the back of my neck stand up. It feels true in my system. I was told, and this also feels true, that of the 95 threads, only two are on Earth at the moment. And it's highly unlikely that the two of us will ever meet because the other one is a five-year-old girl in Italy. So not likely we're going to cross paths. Parallel lives are different from that in that they sound similar though. On some level, everything is the same. When we go high enough in the mana, everything is the same. But parallel lives are more like every choice point along this journey creates multiples of each of us, right? So I say yes and another version of me says no, and they lead parallel lives.

Here's a question I've been dying to ask someone. There's a show on Netflix, right? I think it's 112263, where I forget the actor's name, but he's trying to go back in time to prevent JFK's assassination. In your experience, have you seen an instance where if someone does actually go back in time, they change something, and it splinters off into another string or event? How does that work?

SPEAKER_01 5:07

Okay, so I'm getting away with goosebumps because this is not something I cognitively know, but this is what the angels want to say about it.

Johnny Burke 5:13

So you're communicating with them right now?

SPEAKER_01 5:15

Yeah, always, pretty much.

Johnny Burke 5:17

Okay.

SPEAKER_01 5:17

So they're saying that what happens more commonly in what we experience as going back in time and changing things is we actually jump to a different timeline. So timelines are very akin to parallel lives. In the way we usually use them, they're interchangeable. And we can change timelines regularly. They want to say we often do change to a different trajectory. The little shifts that we make, we let go of that subconscious programming that says money is the root of all evil, and for some reason, no matter what I do, I can't seem to allow money into my world. The minute that's gone, we have a whole different relationship with money. And it's in many ways as if we never had that problem before.

Johnny Burke 5:56

So in other words, it's like taking a different exit off the highway than you had anticipated.

SPEAKER_01 6:02

Yes. And therefore ending up in a very different place.

Johnny Burke 6:05

Okay. Hopefully a better one. Now, speaking of the angels, you apparently had some training or some mentoring from them. Is that something to do with being a starseed? Is it related or not really?

SPEAKER_01 6:19

Yes and no. We tend to be very linear because we have a linear experience on this planet, right? So we tend to think that past lives are really in the past, but there's only the eternal moment of now. We tend to think that starseeds are beings who've come from another planet to be on this planet, but like we said, I have 95 lives going right now, and only two are on this planet. I am all those things simultaneously. I am an earth being and I am an angelic being and I am a Arcturian. And that's at a soul level, right? So the soul is a non-physical entity that is experiencing all these different things simultaneously.

Johnny Burke 6:55

Can you go back and forth between your light being self or that five-year-old girl?

SPEAKER_01 7:01

I can't. That's not one of my gifts. There are many beings who can do that, and boy, I would love to be able to do that, but not one of my things. I can experience my light being self. So you did say that, and yes, that is a much more familiar energy to me. The funny thing is, before that channeling, I questioned if I had ever been in human form before, because it's such a weird experience for me to be a human on this planet at this time. But apparently I've been a human many times. This is my favorite planet, according to my soul. And I was like, It is?

Johnny Burke 7:34

Yeah, right.

SPEAKER_01 7:36

I know. It's very familiar to me to be a twelfth-dimensional being on this planet, to be what people would perceive as an angel. So that's in my understanding at the moment, the highest frequency that we can be on this planet and be perceived. So that feels much more normal to me than this being in the flesh thing. But the angels don't want to in any way diminish the being in the flesh because this is a particularly magical time. I know it doesn't seem that way in a lot of what's going on in the neighbors and such. But this is the time, and I'm getting another wave of goosebumps, that we're able to embody into a fifth-dimensional reality on this planet. So most people live in 3D, what everybody is experiencing that hasn't had any sort of awakening. So people in 3D think that they're in the movie and the movie is all there is, and it's an immersive experience, and it's amazing. It's it's how souls gain a lot of depth and breadth of experiences. 4D, in my understanding of it, is when we start to become the observer or the witness and we start to choose. So I can step out of the movie and watch the movie and decide not to have that same old knee-jerk reaction I always have and choose a different response to what's going on. And that can change the trajectory massively. So it's super powerful. And then once we move into 5D, it becomes immersive again. We're so in the flow or in the zone, we're so bodied in the energy of divine unconditional love that the sort of question and answer are simultaneous. We no longer have that pausing, regrouping, wondering what else is possible, or angels, is there something for me to do or say right now? Instead, we're just in the midst of doing it. We're following the energy, we're in the right place at the right time, it feels magical and beautiful.

Johnny Burke 9:23

So the 5D is non-physical. Is that not true? Or maybe that's true for some people and not others? How does that work?

SPEAKER_01 9:30

Okay, this is what the angels are saying. For many people who are here to only be 3D, or perhaps glimpses of 4D, 5D will be their non-physical experience when they leave this physical body. But there are many of us, light workers, who self-identify as light workers or not, who are here to embody the 5D on the planet now. So this is the first time a planet's really been ready to embody a 5D reality. The planet herself has been raising in frequency, and so she is now a ready and fertile host for a new energy to live here.

Johnny Burke 10:02

So some people are meant to embody 5D in the physical.

SPEAKER_01 10:07

Yes.

Johnny Burke 10:09

That would explain a lot of the confusion that a lot of us kind of trip over like, is it this or that? Is it dimension or density? Okay. Let's go back to your past lives. Because what you just said about 5D mirrors what I've been told about people that have past life memories from ancient civilizations, which seems to be that 5D civilization was embodied. They weren't light beings. Now, do you have any memories like that?

SPEAKER_01 10:38

Well, I've getting wave after wave of goosebumps, so I'm gonna go with yes, although I did not have cognitive ones in that sense until you asked the question. I have memories. Okay, they're showing me two past lives to share. One was where I was in ancient Egypt and I was some sort of a high priest, and I was wearing the gold headdress, and standing in the top of a pyramid, divine light, powerful energy came through the point of the pyramid, through the crown of my head, and went out in 360 degrees through my heart, through the gold piece that I was wearing. I was asked to do something very like that a few years ago when I was in Ireland, and my response in Ireland was I can do that. And the angel said, Yes, of course. That's why we're asking you to do that. On one level, they want to say we all have a lot of gifts and skills and talents that we've had in other lifetimes or on other dimensions that we're living in right now that we can bring into this body. That's not my gift before, about one of your questions. We will re-embody the things that we're meant to do here in this lifetime. And it's all being orchestrated by, you could say, our higher selves, along with the angels. So I think of the angels as the helpers for the divine, those who make it possible for the divine to do a lot of things. And so some angels are embodied, and some people act as earth angels, right? They deliver the message from the angels for us in that moment, or they lift up the car that's on top of the child in that moment. So there are all sorts of angelic experiences and different levels of physicality.

Johnny Burke 12:04

Speaking of angels and higher self, is there a connection or is there an overlap?

SPEAKER_01 12:10

There's a harmony and a coordination. From like 2011 to 2014, I put out a magazine called Law of Attraction. I was really into law of attraction teachings until I wasn't anymore. And it was partly because of the way things went with the secret and people became very like, I'm placing my order with the universe like it's a cosmic restaurant. Bring me my soulmate by Thursday at 4 p.m. I want a million dollars in my bank account on the 24th. Even then, the way I was sharing the law of attraction was more the essence. Like when you feel joyful, you attract more things to feel joyful about. When you feel angry, you attract more angry people and things to feel angry about. But the angels wanted to add that at the ground level of reality, as when we feel like our small separate selves who aren't connected to the divine and aren't connected to all that is, and we all know what that feels like. We are placing our order with the universe, but we're like these cute little kids sitting in the passenger seat on the bus with the little toy steering wheel, and we can't reach the pedals, and we think we're driving the bus, and we're adorable at a higher level, our higher self, and the angels are driving the bus. So we're placing our order like it's a cosmic restaurant. Bring me my soulmate by 4 p.m. on Thursday.

Johnny Burke 13:22

While we are observers.

SPEAKER_01 13:23

While we're in the passenger seat, right? So we want this, and angels know what we want. But they also know what it's gonna take for us to be ready for what we're asking for. So we're on this journey of evolving and becoming. So if my soulmate showed up at 4 o'clock on Thursday and I'm not really ready for that relationship for a million potential reasons, it wouldn't be kind to anybody to deliver my soulmate then. It would just be a misfire, right? So instead, what the angels are delivering and our higher self is guiding us through is this journey of evolving and becoming into readiness to be in that relationship. So maybe I have to recognize that what I thought I wanted is really what my parents told me I wanted. And I had so taken in their programming that I thought that's what I wanted. Or maybe I had such wounding in a previous relationship that I have to learn how to speak up for myself again or even remember who I am and what matters to me. So we're being led on this very magical, almost treasure hunt of shedding the stuff that's not authentically to us, healing any woundedness that we've picked up along the way to be ready for whatever those ideal things that we've been striving for, for them to come into our experience.

Johnny Burke 14:36

So it's it's important to be ready for what you want, which most people may not know if they're ready or not.

SPEAKER_01 14:42

And you're ready for what the divine is bringing you, right? The divine knows exactly where you are on your journey. That's the dance of surrender and trust, right? The more we can trust that what's showing up is showing up for a reason and live in the hmm, I wonder why this showed up. Curiosity instead of pushing things away as hard as we can.

Johnny Burke 15:01

And many people do that. Let's talk about the book. There's this one quote that I really liked. This book is less about learning and more remembering and returning to the truth of who you are. What does that mean?

SPEAKER_01 15:13

A lot of people talk about Earth as a school and a place where you have to learn things. I suppose for some sort of younger souls, maybe that's true. It's more of a game of dress-up. So we come in and we play parts and we experience what it's like to be that. We also pick up all this gunk along the way. So gunk meaning subconscious programming. Dr. Bruce Lipton talks a lot about how the first seven years of life were just wide open, we're sponges, we're taking in everything as this is the truth of how this planet works, this is how I'm supposed to live, this is how I operate, this body, this is how I fit into my family, my culture. All of that stuff becomes the subconscious programming that is running the show in the background. He says 95% of the time, but even if it's only 51% of the time, we're doing the work, we're saying the affirmations, we're doing the meditation, we're doing all the things, and we still seem to bump up against these upper limits or patterns, let's just call them. The angels are very good at dissolving that stuff easily and effortlessly. So we actually like to joke that you could put this under your pillow at night and get the exact same benefit because the book has been energetically attuned to dissolve all that stuff. So it not only dissolves the stuff that we picked up individually from our family of origin and any religion we were born into and any schooling that we experienced and all the just the peer pressure, all that stuff that says you're too much of this and you're not enough of that, and you really need to, it also dissolves all the collective gunk that we've picked up. We're born into a certain culture. We're also born into a plan at a particular time where there are very rampant belief systems and things that have been installed to control humanity. And so this book also dissolves all of that gunk.

Johnny Burke 16:58

But isn't that a lesson? Because when you mention something about playing dress up, it reminds me of what I've heard I don't know how many times. When we plan our next incarnation, we pick our family, we pick our parents, brothers, sisters, lovers, whatever, and come down here with a mission. Of course, you forget. Because if you didn't forget, it would be like having the answers to the test. You wouldn't learn anything. Is that the same thing as playing dress up?

SPEAKER_01 17:24

It is. Although I just wouldn't use the phrase having the answers to the test. It's much more fun to be in the immersive experience when you think it's real, or it's much more meaningful until it's not, until it's time to step out of the movie and be in more of the observer mode. And some people are on that journey in this lifetime and some are not. Some are gonna stay immersed in it. And the angels want to say some people are here specifically to keep all the old systems functional for as long as possible. It would not be very kind for humanity for governments, banking systems, school systems, monetary systems, everything to crumble around them. It would create a lot of chaos and stress and struggle and strife and friction and war. And so there are people whose divine purpose is to keep everything operating smoothly until humanity is ready for a new level of experience.

Johnny Burke 18:15

Okay, that's very interesting that you just brought that up because a lot of us are hearing this is a time when we're moving into a new age, conventional systems are breaking down. But what you're saying is that will happen, but not until we're ready for it.

SPEAKER_01 18:29

Right. So there are many beings on the planet right now who are creating new systems through their lived experiences. So new ways of being in an agency client relationship. It's very like boots on the ground, new ways of doing HR in a business. There are people who are have been doing conscious capitalism for a long time or conscious business in various ways, conscious parenting, conscious coupling, and uncoupling. And those people are creating a new collective consciousness that is literally at a higher level of consciousness.

Johnny Burke 19:01

So they're getting us ready, I would imagine. Question for the angels. Hopefully they're listening. There's two different schools of thought here. One is you ask the angels for help. And then there's the current popular theory about manifestation where you have to imagine and create the emotions as if you already have that thing or that lover or that bank account or whatever. Which is it? Can it be both? How does that work?

SPEAKER_01 19:29

Here's what the angels want to say. One of the challenges that we find with some of the law of attraction teachings is a sort of emotional and spiritual bypassing, a denial of the aspect of myself who feels sad about this, who feels angry, who feels scared. Right. So the angels and I encourage people, and we talk about this in a whole section in the book, to love their emotions and treat their emotions as messengers. So rather than trying to pivot or raise your vibration instantly, have a conversation with worry or anxiety, have a conversation with sadness and recognize that that part of you is lovable and is just crying out for your love and to be seen and recognized. So there's that.

Johnny Burke 20:14

We're trying to really discern between the two, which works. There's asking for help, and then there's trying to manifest, let's just say, a better life. I want to be able to pay my bills, I want to be able to play golf when I want. We're told by some of these gurus we have to basically create the emotion as if that's already accomplished. That seems to run counter to asking the angels for help, doesn't it?

SPEAKER_01 20:38

So the angels do want to say that there are many different teachers and there are many different students for those teachers. So it's not that some of the teachings are wrong and some of them are right. There are diets that work for some people and not for others, right? It's it's not one size fits all. Asking the angels for help in the way that we encourage people to. So one of the things in the book is the angel delegation statement. And we encourage people to ask for help in a way that we don't usually do it. So we usually say, I need or I want or please, God, I'll give anything if you were you know bargaining and begging. The angels ask us to say, thank you, angels, for taking care of, and then fill in the blank. Thank you, angels, for taking care of my health. Thank you, angels, for taking care of my child. Thank you, angels, for taking care of my finances. The more general we can do it, usually the more relief we feel. But the reason the angels want us to say it that way is because they are already on it at a higher level, right? Our higher self and the angels are already working together to help us experience more ease and more grace and more peace in our daily lives. They're not forsaking us. When we delegate to them, we're acknowledging that it's already so, right? They're already making it so. And so it allows us to feel relief.

Johnny Burke 21:53

But that's similar to what I just said about the manifestation where you have to supposedly create that same. Emotional life, which is not an easy thing to do. You're just assuming that it's going to be done.

SPEAKER_01 22:05

You don't have to fake it till you make it. In fact, the angels are encouraging you to notice all those places where you feel like it's not possible, where you feel like you don't deserve it. So what we're doing at this stage right now is gathering up all the pieces that we've tried to suppress or cut off or deny, and we're welcoming all of our true self home and all of our scared parts and pieces home. It's time to be unconditional love for ourselves first, instead of martyring or self-sacrificing or pushing through or all the things that we've been taught to do on this planet.

Johnny Burke 22:40

I've not heard that type of explanation, but it will, I think, help some of the confusion. Because if you look at them while asking for help and creating that particular emotion are two different things. Great explanation. I really like that. We hear a lot about raising our vibration and raising the level of love. Why do you suppose that is?

SPEAKER_01 23:04

There have been people who've been coming to this planet specifically for this time to co-create with the planet and with the divine and raise the frequency enough, raise the potential enough so that it will be an easy transition for humanity. So humanity has tried to make the leap into 5D consciousness a few times and has it. This time they assure me that it's going to happen. So there have been many who've been here paving the way, we could say, or preparing the field, really setting the table, so to speak, so that there's enough peace. A lot of people came in embodying the energy of peace, others came in embodying the energy of joy. There are different vibrational frequencies that have been amplified and landed in the physical on this planet that are making the planet more ready. The planet herself is ready. There's enough of a collective consciousness that's been built that we're past the tipping point. It's still possible that there will be kind of a quantum leap experience for the majority of humanity where they will wake up one day in a new level of reality. But there will be enough collective consciousness for it to seem like normal. And it won't be, you know, like those Hallmark movies where you go to bed single and successful in the city and you wake up in the suburbs with a husband and three children.

Johnny Burke 24:19

Last question. Diner know what that looks like.

SPEAKER_01 24:26

Oh gosh. Okay, so which one to share? They want to share one about abundance. I've been shown what looks like a farmer's market. We all know what that looks like. So there's different booths set up. Imagine that you have apple trees, you have an abundance of apples, it's more than you could possibly do anything with. And so you bring your extra apples and you set them up on a table. But instead of sitting behind the table and asking for money for the apples, you just walk around and collect whatever you would like from this farmer's market. There's actually no money changing hands. Everybody in this community feels abundant and that they have plenty and they contribute and share from that space. So somebody who loves to bake comes by and sees all the apples and gathers up a bunch and goes home and makes pies. And then the next day or the day after, they bring back a bunch of pies and set them out, and whoever would like a pie comes and gets it. And so we're in this beautiful generative flow that feels easy and nurturing and like being a contribution. And people do what they feel most inspired or able to do. We're each totally unique beings, not only on this planet, but in the entire cosmos. So this work transforms into joyful contribution. And we no longer need a scorekeeping mechanism, which is what money is essentially. You know, in the old days, I gave you three chickens and you gave me a goat, and we had to sort of decide how much a chicken was worth and how much a goat was worth and keep track of all that, and that money made that easier, but money came with debt attached to it, so there's a lot of wonkiness around it. And somebody has to decide. Teachers get paid this much and professional athletes get paid that much. And so there's a lot of judgment built into the system. So eventually, possibly in our lifetime, money will go away, but not in the sort of devastating, dystopian way we've seen in some movies and books. More in a it's just no longer necessary kind of way.

Johnny Burke 26:23

Aaron Powell Not the first time I've heard that. It sounds like a utopian view of the future. That's good. Thank the angels for that one. Anything else we need to know, at least for today?

SPEAKER_01 26:33

The angels want you to know that you are always supported. So you are so very loved. The more we can move through the world in a space of everything is happening for me, not to me. And remembering to ask the angels. So it doesn't mean that I'm going to know in the moment why whatever is happening is happening. And sometimes we'll never know. Some things we're just not meant to know. But they want us to know that the more we remember to practice appreciation. Thank you, angels, for bringing me clarity on the gifts of this experience. Thank you, angels, for bringing me this experience. The more we can be in that space of ease, the more receptive we are. The easier it is for the angels to shower us with gifts and blessings. And so the other day we were driving home from a vacation and we had a blowout. And rather than go into, oh, this is terrible, this is wrong, we're never going to make it home today, we just kind of went into, okay, I'm sure there's a reason the angels are slowing us down right now. It was actually time to get new tires. So we're appreciative that we were able to be in a place where it was easy to get new tires. And we found out that there was a lot of ice, there was an ice storm in the mountains on the way home. So we just went into thank you, angels, for making sure that we didn't have a car accident on black ice. No stress, no pressure, no trauma. We allowed that experience to be happening for us and to us in that moment without trauma and drama. So the angels are encouraging us to notice in our bodies when we're feeling inner harmony and when we're feeling turbulence. So this is actually where the book ends. The most important thing the angels want us to know is to pay attention to how we're feeling in our physical bodies, in our emotional states, and be kind and gentle with ourselves. So when we take care of ourselves first, before we engage with anyone or anything else, then we're coming from the energy of divine unconditional love. We're not lashing out in anger, we're not hangry, we're not trying to control other people and manipulate them so we can feel safe. We're actually being the change. The programming out there would tell you that taking care of yourself first is selfish and you really need to tend to everybody else. Many people had a childhood experience where they did need to make sure their parents were okay in order to be safe.
