The Omnipresence of God: Why You Can't Outrun Divine Love
Every one of us has felt the urge to run and hide from God—whether from shame, pain, or the aftermath of our failures. In this soul-stirring episode, we explore the profound reality of God's omnipresence through the lens of Psalm 139:7-8: "Where can I go from your spirit? Where can I flee from your presence?"
The spiritual caves we inhabit were never God's design for us. Drawing from biblical examples like Elijah hiding from Jezebel, Adam and Eve concealing themselves in the garden, and Jonah fleeing God's call, we uncover a pattern that still plays out in our lives today. The enemy wants nothing more than to convince you that you've fallen too far for God to want you back—that darkness is your new home.
But God's truth speaks otherwise. He pursues us into our caves, calls us by name, and reminds us that He created us for light, not darkness. When we feel most unworthy, most broken, or most abandoned, that's precisely when His presence is nearest, though we may fail to recognize it.
This message speaks directly to those struggling with isolation, shame, or the feeling that God has abandoned them. If you've been running from God's presence or hiding in spiritual darkness, this powerful word reminds you that there is nowhere you can go where God isn't already waiting, with mercy that's new every morning.

Speaker 2:God bless you all. Welcome again to another podcast episode of Join this Journey by Faithline. Just been meditating on the word of the Lord, especially with everything that's going on, lord, especially with everything that's going on, and just been asking God to help us. Amen, bring a new word and new blessings to each of our listeners. Amen, and I just thank God for the youth that he has placed amen in our church. They have been really a great help and a lot of them has unite with me to continue this podcast that God has placed amen on my heart to do and, as you know, we do English and Spanish and today inanish podcast.
Speaker 2:Um is our brother, kamarki. The lord led him to a bible portion and just, you know, reading it and going over it, so that way I could bring it to you in english. Um, it's very impacting because, um, a lot of us find ourselves in in many struggles, especially the last days that we're living here on earth before the return of Christ. Amen, the rapture that we are, people in faith you know are waiting for. You know the coming of Christ. More than ever, I think and feel that the attacks have risen to discourage us and to make us run and turn away and just going over the podcast that the Lord placed in our brother Kamarkey's heart for the Spanish podcast, it's just confirmation of what the lord has been revealing. Uh, what many are going through and have been going through so many dark moments where the enemy is trying to take advantage to bring our faith down, because he knows that faith is the key amen to seeing the glory of god, which the enemy fights every single day. That so that won't come to pass. But in the name of Jesus, we will see it. Because when God has a plan and purpose, amen, I believe and declare it that it will unfold, no matter what has risen and no matter what the enemy has sent. Amen, the word of the Lord is more powerful and will unfold in each and every one of our lives.
Speaker 2:So when I went through the portion that the Lord gave him, it really just ministered to my heart and I just wanted to start the podcast. You know with these words that we serve a God almighty, god that knows what each and every one of us is going through and never, never comes too late. He is always on time and I pray that this podcast reaches every life that is in need, in need of a word of the Lord. Here he is to speak to us, to minister to us and to let us know that we don't have to run, we don't have to hide, we don't have to be afraid, because he is the God of the present that knows everything and is everywhere, and even in darkest moments he is there. Amen, to minister to our lives. And I believe that's what this word is here for today To many of those that find themselves in this moment. And God, once again, has arrived on time to minister to our lives.
Speaker 2:So the portion is in Psalms 139, and we're going to be reading verses 7 and 8. And we read the word of the Lord in the name of the Father, son and Holy Spirit Amen. Where can I go from your spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there. If I make my bed in the depths, you are there. God is omnipresent and before even the world was created, god knew and knows who you are. He knows your goings and comings, he knows all your thoughts and God is here. Amen, to meet you at the place that you are in in this moment. David says where can I go from your spirit. If we see in the time that we are living, many are running from the presence of the Lord. Many are avoiding the truth. Instead of running to God, we see many running from him and from the truth.
Speaker 2:And that we can see because we are living in the last days and instead of running to him, we see many running away from him. David here he said in the moment of his life he tried to run away from the presence of the Lord, to get far from God and get far from the communion with God. But there was a place that he reached and knew in his heart that all my ways, god, you know them. God knew what David was going through. And even though David wanted to run and felt like he couldn't do this, david was brought to a moment where he knew I cannot run from his presence. And David understood I cannot be without his presence because his presence fills everything. You and I cannot run from the presence of God and the enemy wants to bring thoughts that we can Run from him and thoughts for us to close ourselves to God, close our hearts to God and make us feel we felt too much for even God to even look at us or want to do in our lives. And the enemy comes to influence us to run from him and close the door. But David is saying here you can't live in a good life without from the presence of God. You need the presence of the Lord.
Speaker 2:We see examples in the Bible, first of Kings. We see Elijah how he tried to run, how he hid in a cave from a threat that Jezebel, the Queen Jezebel, did towards his life. She threatened him because of the victory he obtained and she wasn't happy the enemy will never be happy. But Elijah felt so overwhelmed, he felt the burden and ran and hit in a cave. But God found him there and said what are you doing there? Because Elijah wanted to leave everything, he wanted to leave his position. But there in that cave, god was there. There in that cave was the presence of the Lord to tell him. This is not the time for you to hide. This is not the time to be in a cave. This is not the time to close your mouth. This is not the time to hide away and close yourself out from the world. This is the time to get up and to follow me. God does not have fault because you failed him. God does not have fault because people hurt you. God does not have the fault because someone speaks bad about you or against you. God does not have the fault. All that is happening is tactics of the enemy to take your focus away, to make you go far from God. He wants to pull you away from the presence of the Lord and he wants to make you feel that you fail God too much, that you can't get back. But God is saying why do you want to be away from me? David was saying why do I want to be away from him? Even if I try, I can't. You are everywhere, god. God is everywhere. We need God, you need God, I need God, this whole world needs God. We need that intimacy with him.
Speaker 2:From the very beginning we can see Adam and Eve and we see by them failing. They hid. We see it in the word because they let themselves be fooled by the enemy, because the enemy is always there to fool us and to pull us away from God's will and purpose. And the point is to pull us away from the presence of God. And he was there to push them into disobedience. And when they found themselves in that place of disobedience, of darkness, they hid and took leaves, thick leaves, to hide, because they knew they had failed. The Lord and God came and called them and they hid. They hid in the garden because they were afraid.
Speaker 2:Verse 10 says we hid because we were afraid because we sinned against you, and many of us feel that way, and I don't know why. But you can be hiding right now because you fell God. You could be hiding right now because you lost a loved one. You could be hiding because someone in church spoke bad about you. You'd be hiding because people left you alone. But you know what? God has never left you alone. God has never left me alone.
Speaker 2:Why shall we hide from his presence? Why should we hide? Is our highest refuge. Why should we run from him? Why should we run in a cave? The cave was not designed for us. Loneliness was not a place that God meant for us. Darkness is not a place that God designed for us. The storm is not a place that God designed it for us.
Speaker 2:Why do we find ourselves in that? Because sometimes we find ourselves far from God and we haven't permitted the presence of God to be our everything. We haven't permitted his presence to be in our lives, to take control of our souls, our spirit and our body. We have to ask God to wrap us in him, to give us his peace. Let us ask God to forgive us, to have mercy on us, because we need him in our lives. We need God in this life. We need God in our homes. We need God in our family. Let us not run. If God is everything, if he fills everything, why? Why are you insisting to live without his presence? Why are you running from him? Don't hide from God. We have to realize if something is not right, it's because I'm far from you. If I'm in darkness, darkness is because I'm far from you and God is calling you towards his presence. Let us give full control to God. Let us surrender to God, surrender our souls to him, and asking God, have mercy, have mercy on me, because I know I have sinned. Lord, there are many things we don't understand. Have mercy, god. But God is there through his presence, to wrap you, to help you. God is calling you.
Speaker 2:Don't be like the prodigal son that left the presence of his father and saw how his life was without the presence of his father. He went through the world and it was all a disaster, and he was not whole until he went back to the father. Go back to the father's arm, because nothing is better than to be in the father's arm. There's many things missing in your life and the number one thing is the presence of the lord. Go back to the father and find that presence, because in the presence of god we have protection, we have everything, and what you're missing is your father in heaven. You're missing his presence. You're missing his spirit.
Speaker 2:God knows everything. He knows what you need and he knows everything. Don't try to run from him. Let us surrender. Let us not try to live without him. Let us go back to him and if this is the first time, may you open your heart to him to know your father in heaven. God wants to bring you to the place he designed for you and for me. So let's surrender. Let us not run like Jonah. Let us surrender because in that boat he knew that God was not happy. A storm came and the boat went out of control and unfortunately he had to go into darkness to know that he was wrong. But let us understand that God did not design the dark place for us. He designed the light. And God is here to speak to your life. He is calling you to his presence. He is calling you into the light today, in the name of Jesus, amen.
Speaker 2:1 John 1, verse 5 says Let the message sorry, this is the message we have heard from him and declared to you God is light and in him there is no darkness at all. God is calling you into the light. Where there is truth, where is there salvation? Where there's restoration. There in the light is where you need to be. God is at the door and he is calling you. He is calling you into the light today, in his presence, today, in his spirit, today. May you run to him before the trumpets sound. God is at the door and he speaks to you today through his word.
Speaker 2:Where can we hide? Nowhere. We can go nowhere without him because he is there. Where can I go from your spirit and where can I flee from your presence? Wherever I go, wherever I find myself, you are there, and no matter what you're facing right now and how you're feeling right now, god is there to bring light to your situation, to bring light to your mind, to bring light to your life. God is there. Amen, in this moment, to reach you. It's not too late moment to reach you. It's not too late. Reach and you will find. Seek and you will find. Call and you will find God, the creator of the heavens and the earth, your creator, is there for you.
Speaker 2:Father, god, we come before your presence and we thank you for your word, lord, there is no place that we can go that you are not present. God, you have spoke to us today through your word to bring light, god, for you are calling us Jesus. God, you know the works of the enemy and how he has attacked many to believe. There's no way back, to believe that running from you is the answer. But, in the name of Jesus, you bring light today, god, to the lives that are in need. God, because you have come to save, you have come to transform, you have come to bring truth. God, you have not designed the dark places for us, for God, you have opened the way through Jesus Christ so we can be in the high place with you. Opened the way through Jesus Christ, so we can be in the high place with you.
Speaker 2:I call upon your name, jesus, over every listener in this moment, god, that they can receive God, a touch of your hand today in the name of Jesus. In the name of Jesus, may you wrap every life, god. May they know, god, that you are there for them, that your presence is very present in this moment, god, that even if they find themselves in the dark place, god, that you are there to bring light, that you love them, that you are a God of mercy, that you are a God of salvation. God, save in this day. God, let them see, god, your plan and purpose, let them see your love and mercy. God, every morning are new year, mercies, and you have come today to shine mercy upon every listener in the name of Jesus. That, in your presence, is the way to live, god.
Speaker 2:God, touch the hearts.
Speaker 2:God, touch the hearts in the name of Jesus. May you break every stubborn heart. May you break every stubbornness. God, in the name of Jesus, may they surrender to you today. May they, god, open their hearts, lord, and may they receive God, hallelujah, the breath of life. May they receive your word in the name of Jesus, and may you transform for your honor and glory, because you are here, god, to do miracles, you are here to do the impossible, and that's what I ask, god, in the name of Jesus, and I believe, god, that you will continue to work through your word, because your word is life and power.
Speaker 2:Thank you, jesus, god. Thank you, god, for your word that through David, we know God. Thank you, god, for your word that, through David, we know God, hallelujah. And it is confirmed that from you we cannot hide God, you have called us to live in the light and not to live in the cave. Thank you, jesus, because today, in the name of Jesus, you are here to take out what is hidden. You are here to take out what's in the dark. You are here, god, to shine your presence. God, and may you continue to work greatness in the name of Jesus, because, god, you are our God. May you receive, lord, all the honor and glory. In the name of Jesus, amen. I pray this podcast has been a blessing to your life. Amen, I pray this podcast has been a blessing to your life. Amen, and may you, amen, continue forward, not running away, but running towards Jesus Christ, which is our Lord and Savior, our refuge and our help. In the name of the Lord, amen.
