Minute to Heal It Podcast

From Parkinson's to Praise: A Pastor's Journey of Faith Healing

Linda Budd Episode 1198

Witness the extraordinary power of faith healing through the ministry of Pastor Linda Budd from Rivergate Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Taking Scripture at its word—specifically the command to "lay hands on the sick and see them recover"—Linda has dedicated years to pursuing what she calls a "healing anointing," with remarkable results.

Pastor Linda doesn't just talk about healing—she shares compelling testimonies from her ministry. The centerpiece of this episode features her encounter with a man diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in Coffeyville, Kansas. During a service where "the glory of the Lord was really moving," she approached his condition as a spiritual battle rather than merely a physical ailment. In a bold demonstration of faith, she took away his cane and threw it down, after which he began to walk normally. This powerful testimony illustrates her belief that divine healing remains available to believers today.

What makes Linda's approach distinctive is her understanding of illness as sometimes stemming from "spirits of infirmity" that require spiritual deliverance. Her ministry combines scriptural teaching with direct prayer intervention, creating space for what she describes as God's healing power to manifest. Through this episode, listeners struggling with health challenges may find both hope and practical faith perspectives that complement traditional medical approaches. Whether you're battling chronic illness, supporting someone who is, or simply curious about faith healing, this testimony-rich episode offers a window into the lived experience of believers who take Scripture's healing promises literally.

Speaker 1:

Hi, I'm Linda Budd. I'm a pastor at Rivergate Church in Tulsa, oklahoma, and I take the scriptures literally. That says that we are to lay hands on the sick and see them recover. And so for several years I've gone after a healing anointing. I've prayed for people dozens of times over the years and I see so many get healed. I've seen all manner of sickness and disease healed. If you have any pain in your body, if you're infirmed, if you have any disease, if you have any sickness at all, I just reach my hand up to heaven right now in the name of Jesus, and I call forth the new body part that you need. Listen to this testimony.

Speaker 1:

A man asked me to pray for him for Parkinson's. I was in Coffeyville, kansas, and the glory of the Lord was really moving and so many people were being healed of so many things. And so this man asked if I would pray for him because he was diagnosed with Parkinson's. I did and I treated it as if it was a deliverance from a spirit of infirmity. He was walking with a cane and I took the cane away from him and threw it down. He began to walk just fine. The glory came all over him and I hoped to hear from him that the Parkinson's is gone, and I told him that the only shaking that he was going to do was going to be from the Holy Ghost and it was not going to be from some disease in his body.

Speaker 1:

So I just declare and decree over you, in the name of the Lord, that if you have Parkinson's disease, you're being healed right now. I command that spirit of infirmity up and out of you. You tell it to go now. You, spirit of infirmity, up and out, in the name of Jesus, get off of me, come out of go now. You, spirit of infirmity, up and out, in the name of Jesus, get off of me, come out of me now. And Parkinson's, you are leaving now in Jesus' name. Aren't these just great testimonies of the goodness of God and the healing power of Jesus Christ? If you are interested in having me come and speak at a motivational event, your church or a conference of some sort, I am more than happy to consider that invitation. Please contact my church's office, rivergate Church, tulsa, 918-492-5511, and we'll see if we can set something up. God bless you.
