What if healing isn’t a distant hope but a living promise you can reach for today? We dive into a raw, faith-forward story from our church that begins with a couple driving an hour for prayer and leads into the hard, holy work of standing on Scripture when symptoms refuse to budge. You’ll hear how we pray specifically—asking for new body parts, calling for pain to lift, and believing for restoration in bodies worn down by illness and war—while keeping our hearts soft and our expectations high.

We talk through the tension every faith community knows: the presence of God feels close, the room shifts, and yet not every symptom changes right away. Rather than shrink our prayers, we return to Scripture, declare healing promises out loud, and build a rhythm of persistence that refuses to surrender to despair. Along the way, we honor veterans navigating hidden injuries, spouses carrying quiet fear, and anyone who shows up to ask God for more. This is where compassion and courage meet—where the church becomes both a place of intercession and a refuge for weary people.

If you’re holding onto hope for your body or someone you love, this conversation offers simple next steps: ask boldly, speak the Word daily, gather people who will stand with you, and keep knocking. Whether you’ve seen instant breakthrough or you’re still waiting, you’re not alone. Subscribe, share this with someone who needs courage today, and leave a review to help more people find practical faith for real-life healing.

Pastor’s Calling And Healing Focus

Linda Budd

Hi, I'm Melinda Budd. I'm a pastor at Rivergate Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma. And I take the scriptures literally that says that we are to lay hands on the sick and see them recover. And so for several years I've gone after a healing anointing. I've prayed for people dozens of times over the years, and I see so many get healed. I've seen all manner of sickness and disease healed. If you have any pain in your body, if you're infirmed, if you have any disease, if you have any sickness at all, I just reach my hand up to heaven right now in the name of Jesus and I call forth the new body part that you need. Listen to this testimony. News about Jesus' healing presence at Rivergate Church is beginning to spread out farther. A couple drove an hour away from inside our state in another part of the state to come to the Tuesday, to the Sunday night service. And uh she just had so much wrong with her. Her body had colitis, and she was having 30 episodes of bleeding every day. Her husband looked like he just was so worried and like he just was so defeated, and that he was so concerned, and he was just praying and pressing into God for her. And so we began to get her a new colon in the name of Jesus. And then we got him up and started praying for him, wanted to pray for him, and he said, No, I don't need anything. Well, he was a veteran, and he just said, I just want my wife healed and and so forth. But we said, No, what do you need? And well, he needed everything. He needed elbows and shoulders and hips and knees from being in the war. This was a young couple, and uh so I I we really prayed for him, and it looked like God really touched them both. Well, then I got a hold of him during the week, and she said that nothing had happened for her, and she was still having all the same issues. You know, when that happens, all I can say is go back to the word of God, speak it over yourself, declare it over yourself, find healing scriptures and just declare and declare and declare and don't give up because the power of the Lord was present to heal, and they came all that way, and Jesus just loves that. And so I believe she is being healed, and I'm looking forward to hearing from her again. Aren't these just great testimonies of the goodness of God and the healing power of Jesus Christ? If you are interested in having me come and speak at a motivational event, your church, or a conference of some sort, I am more than happy to consider that invitation. Please contact my church's office, Rivergate Church Tulsa, 918 492 5511, and we'll see if we can set something up. God bless you.
