A single vision can reset a room. When Melinda Budd stood up at our healing service and described someone slipping on a tile floor, an elderly man named Alan knew it was him. He had fallen twice and now lived with pain and a walker. What happened next was not hype or theatrics; it was a sequence of bold steps, sharp commands, and a surge of power that turned caution into courage and hope into action.

We walk you through the moment a crowded room became deeply personal: the first, hesitant attempt to move without support; a wife desperate for relief, listing every pain that would not let go; and the startling turn when Melinda cut through the noise with a clear declaration, “Jesus Christ heals you.” The shift was immediate. The wife cried out, moved in ways she could not moments before, and the atmosphere cracked open with awe. Melinda herself was overwhelmed by what she calls the fear of the Lord—swept back, stunned, and filled with worship. That awe reframed everything: healing was not just about symptom relief but a meeting with a present, loving Father.

Then came the return to Alan. A simple command—get up and walk—landed with fresh authority. This time he walked the aisle unaided. Color returned to his face. His posture and presence changed, as if years had lifted. We talk through why persistence matters when the first step seems small, how bold speech can unlock faith, and what it means to hold reverence and risk together. For anyone who has fallen, physically or otherwise, we offer a straight path forward: test what changed, take a step, and resist reaching for the old supports unless you truly need them.

Linda Budd:

Hi, I'm Melinda Budd. I'm a pastor at Rivergate Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma. And I take the scriptures literally that says that we are to lay hands on the sick and see them recover. And so for several years I've gone after a healing anointing. I've prayed for people dozens of times over the years. And I see so many get healed. I've seen all manner of sickness and disease healed. If you have any pain in your body, if you're infirmed, if you have any disease, if you have any sickness at all, I just reach my hand up to heaven right now in the name of Jesus and I call forth the new body part that you need. Listen to this testimony. I was taking a nap and suddenly woke up with a start because I saw a vision. It wasn't a dream, it was a vision of someone falling on a slippery floor like a tile floor. And it was very vivid and very strong. And I knew that he had been, this person had been badly hurt. So in the Encounters Miracle Healing Service that evening, I announced this, and an elderly elderly gentleman by the name of Alan said it was him, and that he had fallen on tile floor or slippery floor twice. Now he's in great pain and he's walking with a walker. And his wife was with him in the meeting and was just overcome by this announcement. So I got Alan up and walked in the aisle towards me. And when he got to me with his walker, I told him to walk now without the walker. He hesitantly took my hand and did so. There maybe was a little progress, but not a lot. So I let him walk back to his seat. His wife was waiting for him and she wanted healing. And she would go on and on and would not stop talking so that I could pray for her. And I asked her to stop talking, but she would not. And then she even pulled out a sheet of paper and wanted me to read it to show me all the things that were wrong in her body. Well, that did it for me. And I told her no, and to stop talking because Jesus wanted to heal her. Well, she still wouldn't stop talking. So I yelled at her, Jesus Christ heals you. And suddenly she got hit with so much power from on high. She screamed and she began to fall out. And that was the last that I saw because at the same time that she got hit with the power, so did I. I began running backward. And I knew that I couldn't stop. And I was yelling, somebody help me. Well, I told Judith, I was told that Judith at the time that I was running backward and I was falling out that she was spinning around, jumping and yelling. I'm healed, I'm healed. And she was now doing things that she could not have done previously. I wanted to watch, but I was so overcome with the fear of God. Listen, the force of God threw me backwards at the same time, and I was not afraid, but I was astonished and the fear of the Lord hit me. All I could do was praise him over and over while I was down on the floor facing the ground worshiping. I knew that the Father's love had shown up big time. And after I collected myself, I went back after Ellen. I said, Ellen, get up and walk. And he did. And now he was walking the aisle without any help whatsoever. His entire demeanor changed. He got color in his face. He looked 10 years younger to me. It was absolutely astounding. If you need healing because you have fallen, I declare to you right now, in the name of Jesus, that you are healed. The pain is leaving your body, the problem is going. Start walking without assistance because you're going to be able to do it. And don't go back to that walker or that cane or whatever else. Just get up and walk in the name of Jesus. Aren't these just great testimonies of the goodness of God and the healing power of Jesus Christ? If you are interested in having me come and speak at a motivational event, your church, or a conference of some sort, I am more than happy to consider that invitation. Please contact my church's office, Rivergate Church Tulsa, 918-492-5511, and we'll see if we can set something up. God bless you.
