We Pray, We Believe, And We Watch For God’s Healing Work
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Hope returns in the most unexpected moments—sometimes not as a sudden miracle, but as a gentle shift that changes everything. Pastor Linda Budd of Rivergate Church in Tulsa invites us into a raw, faith-filled story of praying for the sick, believing for new body parts, and watching for signs that God is at work even before the pain is fully gone.
We walk through a moving testimony of a woman weighed down by surgeries, heartbreak, and long-term pain. The prayer was simple and bold: reach toward heaven, call forth what is needed, and stand on scripture. While the woman didn’t leave fully healed, something vital happened—hope resurfaced. Pastor Linda unpacks that moment, exploring how healing can be both a miracle and a process, and how declarations rooted in Isaiah 53:5 and 1 Peter 2:24 can anchor us when symptoms persist. The goal isn’t to deny reality; it’s to align with a deeper reality and keep taking courageous steps toward wholeness.
You’ll hear practical encouragement for anyone facing illness or discouragement: speak life over your body, stay grounded in the Word, and lean on a church community that prays and cares. Pastor Linda’s pastoral voice is steady and compassionate, inviting you to continue pressing in without shame or panic. If you’re contending for healing—physical, emotional, or spiritual—this conversation offers language, scriptures, and story to keep your faith alive until breakthrough comes.

Calling To Pray For Healing
Linda BuddHi, I'm Linda Budd. I'm a pastor at Rivergate Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma. And I take the scriptures literally that says that we are to lay hands on the sick and see them recover. And so for several years I've gone after a healing anointing. I've prayed for people dozens of times over the years, and I see so many get healed. I've seen all manner of sickness and disease healed. If you have any pain in your body, if you're infirmed, if you have any disease, if you have any sickness at all, I just reach my hand up to heaven right now in the name of Jesus and I call forth the new body part that you need. Listen to this testimony. A lady came who said she was looking for the new church. And she'd been there before. And I knew that she was a sad lady. I knew that her she and her husband were getting a divorce. And I asked her what she needed to be healed up, and she needed new knees, and she needed a left uh hip heel and so forth. She said she'd been through 11 surgeries. She fell off a horse and got hurt really, really bad. And she did seem like a very sad person. Well, we began to pray for her, and we began to see things change in her. And though I can't say she was totally healed, God began to move upon her, and it looked like some hope came back on her. And I hope that she began to get new knees and a new hip and all these things, but I don't know for sure. But I hope that she'll keep pressing in. I hope she'll keep reading the scriptures and applying them, and I hope she'll keep declaring, I am healed by the blood of the Lord. And uh Isaiah 53, 5 says you're already healed. In 1 Peter 2 24, we are healed already. And so grab a hold. Grab a hold if that's you. You've got to grab a hold. And so I want to encourage you with that now in Jesus' name. Aren't these just great testimonies of the goodness of God and the healing power of Jesus Christ? If you are interested in having me come and speak at a motivational event, your church, or a conference of some sort, I am more than happy to consider that invitation. Please contact my church's office, Rivergate Church Tulsa, 918 492 5511, and we'll see if we can set something up. God bless you.
