From Chest Pain To Freedom: A Pastor’s Healing Testimony
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
A sudden wave of chest pain, a hospital’s clean scans, and the stubborn ache that wouldn’t quit—this story begins with confusion and ends in clarity. I share how a 21-day fast and focused, daily prayer opened the door to a moment of undeniable healing, and why I believe Isaiah 58 still speaks to recovery that arrives quickly when we combine humility, hunger, and obedience. The path wasn’t neat; it moved from morphine to movement, from questions to a decisive lift that came in the fourth hour of prayer on the sixth day.
From there, the testimony refuses to stay private. After teaching from the Book of Acts, I felt a persistent nudge to share the story even after the sermon was “done.” When I obeyed, a young man immediately identified the same issue—months of chest pain—and we confronted it with authority in Jesus’ name. He hit the floor under the power of God and rose lighter, free of the weight he carried. That chain reaction shows what testimony can do: it invites others into the same breakthrough and turns a personal victory into community hope.
Across the episode we unpack how spiritual disciplines complement medical wisdom, how words can carry authority, and how a word of knowledge pinpoints need in a room full of people. You’ll hear practical, plain-language steps—how to pray, what to declare, and how to stand your ground when symptoms linger. If you’ve wrestled with unexplained pain or you’re hungry to see healing become normal, this journey offers a map: steady prayer, a fast that focuses the heart, and courage to speak what you believe. If this resonates, share it with someone who needs hope, subscribe for more stories that build faith, and leave a review to help others find it.

Pastor Introduces Healing Mission
Linda BuddHi, I'm Linda Budd. I'm a pastor at Rivergate Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma. And I take the scriptures literally that says that we are to lay hands on the sick and see them recover. And so for several years I've gone after a healing anointing. I've prayed for people dozens of times over the years, and I see so many get healed. I've seen all manner of sickness and disease healed. If you have any pain in your body, if you're infirmed, if you have any disease, if you have any sickness at all, I just reach my hand up to heaven right now in the name of Jesus and I call forth the new body part that you need. Listen to this testimony. I had preached out of the book of Acts for my healing service. And so it was a good sermon, and it was long enough. And after I got done preaching, I felt the Holy Spirit just continue to nudge me that I needed to tell a story of an attack that I had had on my own body about a month before. Now I didn't want to do that because I'd already preached, and it was time to get some people healed. Well, I couldn't get away from the nudging of the Holy Spirit. So I took the time to tell it, and I'm going to tell you right now. On December 18th, I was walking through my garage and I got hit in the chest with so much pain that I could not hardly stand it. I walked into the house to tell my husband I couldn't talk. It hurt so bad. I was able to get out the words, everything's okay, but that was about it. As the day went on, the pain just intensified. I finally ended up in the emergency room because it was chest pain on the right hand side. After various tests, two echocardiograms, a chest X-ray, and a CT scan, they determined that there was absolutely nothing wrong, and they did not know why I had this pain. They had me on morphine to try to control the pain and they sent me home. Well, the pain subsided, but it never entirely went away. I was able to do things. I just wasn't able to go to the gym any longer and lift weights and so forth. But I was able to go running and I was able to work, but there still was this pain, and I started to uh feel that it was moving around my body. Well, I knew that was a devil. And so I was taking authority over that thing and casting it out. I was going to a chiropractor who was helping me some. But then we started a 21-day fast, and we were praying two hours a day. And I want you to know that by about the sixth day in the fourth hour of prayer, suddenly the Lord just took it out of my body and healed me. Isaiah 58 says that your healing will speedily appear when you are praying and fasting. Well, so I have used the word of knowledge several times for people for chest pain. And I have got to tell you that person after person has gotten an instant healing. For instance, on Sunday night, when I could not get away from telling this story, as soon as I told it, a young man lifted his hand and says, I have the same problem, and I've had it for six months. He said, and I know it's a demon. I've never met this young man before. I said, Walk up here in the name of Jesus. It's coming off of you, coming off of you right now, up and out, in Jesus' name. And sure enough, it did. That young man fell out under the power of God. When he got up, he said, I feel lighter. It feels different. And so I want to say to you, if you have any kind of chest pain, I declare to you in the name of Jesus, that pain is a devil. It's up and out now in Jesus' name. You tell it to go with your mouth out loud. You say, You spirit of infirmity, you torment, you get out of me now in the name of Jesus. And you go where Jesus sends you. And I, I declare you well now. I declare you pain-free in Jesus' name. Aren't these just great testimonies of the goodness of God and the healing power of Jesus Christ? If you are interested in having me come and speak at a motivational event, your church, or a conference of some sort, I am more than happy to consider that invitation.
