The Winning Wednesdays Podcast: Overcoming Life’s Difficult Seasons

Divine Order

Geneva Brown Season 2 Episode 2

The idea of order—divine order—speaks to the structure God has put in place for us to live in harmony with His will and the world He created. When we follow His guidance, we align ourselves with a path that leads to fulfillment, peace, and success, not just in terms of material success but in spiritual growth and personal integrity.

The phrase ask, seek, knock (from Matthew 7:7) is a call to action, a promise that God will respond when we actively seek His guidance. It shows us that we’re not meant to live passively or in isolation from Him. When we don't know what to do or when we need confirmation, this process invites us to take deliberate steps:

  1. Ask – Start by bringing your questions, doubts, or decisions to God. Prayer is a vital conversation, where we express our needs, and He can guide us.
  2. Seek – This involves searching actively, whether through Scripture, wisdom from others, or understanding the world around you. Seeking implies a desire to learn, grow, and understand more fully.
  3. Knock – Sometimes we have to be persistent. God doesn't always answer right away, but knocking represents persistence in seeking His will. It shows a heart that is ready and willing to move forward when He opens the door.

In terms of order, when we align our lives with these principles, we tap into the right rhythm that God has set in motion. There’s a kind of balance that emerges when we trust His timing and His process. It’s not always easy or quick, but God’s ways always bring clarity and purpose in the end.
